The Michael Berry Shoe. Carl Inspector is our guest.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hello, Hello, sir, Hello.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
We had a little trouble getting you on this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Well, uh, I've got a lot of interviews and sometimes
they double book made.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I understand. Let me, uh, I know you want to
talk about your book.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
But that's right.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Let's get to Uh. Well, I'll tell you what. Let's
start with your book. Let's do what's the book about.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
The book is about what's happening in Washington. The title
of it is Life among the Cannibals, and the story
is about cannibals devouring senators. And by that I mean
that where you have able senators like Bob Bennett in
Utah with a ninety three percent conservative writing, he can't
(00:56):
win a primary not pure enough because of one vote vote.
An outstanding senator like Joe Lieberman can't win a primary
in Connecticut. The Key Party and Demitt go after Lisa
Murkowski and Alaska. They beat her in the primary and
she comes back to win in a right ind So.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Let me make sure I understand this.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
The elected officials who work for the public are victims,
and the public who are the voters in the Republic
are cannibals.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I don't know the public people in the society are
not cannibals. It is people within the party who oppose
senators who are doing a good job because they're not
sufficiently pure.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
But what if being impure and that means voting with
the other side, or voting yourself pay raises or lecturing
the people of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. What if that's not impurity?
What if that's arrogance? What if that is incomp what
if that is obnoxious to the people. Don't the people
every six years get to decide.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Well, of course they do. But where you have somebody
who is doing a good job like Bennett and cast
one vote at the urging of President Bush, a member
of his own party, on the on aiding the automotive industry,
(02:26):
and is defeated, I say that's accountable.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
I said, you know, Arl Spector, I have to tell you,
I don't know that I have ever had a more
arrogant human being on the line. And I don't know
that in my lifetime I have seen, and I'm including
Bill Clinton in this, a more arrogant individual serve in
public life. For you to live off of my taxes,
since nineteen sixty five, and to suggest that good honest,
(02:51):
decent people who paid your bills for all those years
in organizing and casting votes when they threw you out
of the Republican Party and then the Democrat Party, to
refer to them as cannibals, to criticize them, to criticize
good honest, decent people. Sir, I have to tell you
are undeserving of the title of senator that good men
(03:12):
have held, and the honor of that is only because
of people in the Tea Party who pay their taxes. Frankly,
you should be ashamed of yourself, and I hope you are.
