Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Michael Barry Show. The beginning of the inside jacket
to the book Hollywood Hypocrites by Jason Mattera says, are
you sick of self important celebrities preaching against global warming
yet flying private planes to their countless homes. Fed up
with lectures about charity and philanthropy from miserly rockers who
will do anything for a tax break. Disgusted by leftist

(00:23):
stars decrying the evils of the Second Amendment as their
personal bodyguards packed more heat than a Chuck Norris kick
to the face. The book is called Hollywood Hypocrites. The
author wise beyond his years and quite the activist. Jason Mattera,
just twenty eight years old, the youngest editor of a
national periodical, Human Events. He hosts a show on Sundays

(00:45):
four to six on WABC, probably the biggest station in America.
He wrote Obama Zombies, and he's in the news recently
over the Chris rock Ambush interview, which I love. Jason,
thanks for.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Being with us, Hey, Michael, thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I can't believe you've never been on the show before.
I'm a huge fan.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Well, I think this is the first time you invited me.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I am serious. I do not I would not turn
down your show.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Well, we're not, Bill O'Reilly. We don't just let everybody on.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
You know, I have a little feud with O'Reilly. He
actually called me a pinhead for taking on Chris Rock.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
That would be the same Bill O'Reilly that refused to
let Rick santorumon until after he had won Iowa and
then trashed him the entire time, The guy who sucks
Barack Obama's toes. Yeah, that's okay to have a feud
with him. I think he's something of a pinhead himself,
and I think he should he should tone down the
makeup of tat or two. Let's talk about this fantastic
book you've written. I mean, this is just first class.
It's absolutely first class. And you, sir, having Andrew Bright

(01:47):
Bartian ability to sort of fight the left with their
own tools, your ambush interview of Chris Rock. Let's start there.
What happened?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Oh, I'm just tired, sick and tired of Hollywood bounds
like Chris Rock smearing millions of Americans who go to
tea party, party rallies, they wave their American flags, they
bring their children, they're patriotic, they're disgusted with the direction
of this country under Obama, and they're smeared as racists.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
That's what Chris Rock said.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
They are racists and they are insane, and nobody says
a peep. He's not held accountable because media aren't going
to hold him accountable. They want to have the Chris
Rock interview, so I decided.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
To in fairness, Biggar and Blacker is one of the
funniest seedy Listen.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
I am a huge Chris Rock fan. I love watching
his material, love it. You know, it pains it pains
me to have to do this to Chris Rock, But listen,
I'm just fed up of the left trying to control
this narrative and they're going to exacerbate it in the
twenty twelve this election that somehow we oppose Barack Obama.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Because of his skin color.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
That's flat out wrong. We oppose him because he sucks
as a president. He's driving this country into the ground.
And if I have to take on Chris Rock, one
of my favorite comedians, I'm going to do so well.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
What I love How you did it is. Looking at
the video, which we've posted at Michael berry dot com
and we have links to all Adjasent's stuff on there is.
You walk up to him at this event. You first
say hey, can I get a photo? And you sort
of let him get his guard down, and then you
look in dead in the eye from eight inches away
and say, now you said that the tea party were racist,

(03:24):
and he just goes off on you.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
He does, he.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Does, listen, I do. I wasn't even really deceptive. I said,
I'm from Brooklyn and I'm a big fan of his.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
That's all true.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And then I went into questioning him on the tea party.
In fact, it really even wasn't a question. I as
soon as I just mentioned the tea party, I wanted
a justification. Hey man, just give me one bit of
evidence why the tea party is racist. As soon as
I say tea party, the guy tries to maneuver around bodyguards.
Finally he just goes a berserk and explodes.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Tries to successfully.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Rips the camera ruh. After a bit of a tussle
with my camera woman, rips it out of her hands,
launches the camera fifty feet, tries to smash it. Then
he turns to me and while he's safely behind.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Two big bodyguards, want to throw down.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
You want to throw down. And I wish Michael that
you can just see exactly what happened because he's lunging,
like lunging over his bodyguard.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
He's about a buck ten. He ain't hurting me anybody.
I ain't buying.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Man, Listen well, drugs. Drugs will do that to you.
You know what.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I love. The dedication in the book says to Joe
and Joyce Matera, you raised me to fear no man.
If there is one one thing I try to make
sure that from my show that our listeners get is
if you truly love this country, then be fearless for
what you believe in. And I love that about that interview.

(04:53):
I love the way you take on your topics. I
love the way you go directly to the issues. And
I honestly believe that's the best tribute you could you
could give your parents. To Joe and Joyce Monterra, you
raised me to fear no man, because most people are
walking around wanting to do what you're doing, but afraid to.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
And from an early age they said, the only person
you fear is God Almighty.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
And that's it.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And and that's how I've been carrying myself because I mean, why,
especially why should I fear politicians or celebrities. I mean, seriously,
we're the ones that they have to cater to. You know,
Celebrities expect us to go to their movies and go
to their shows and buy their music. Politicians expect us
to go vote for them. We shouldn't be scared of them.
We should be holding them accountable. You know, Hollywood has

(05:36):
a huge megaphone. They have the ability to raise not
only tons of cash for Barack Obama and other liberal candidates,
but they have the ability to sell him on the
big screen. So conservatives cannot act like whimps and cower
and shy away. We have to go on the offensive.
We have to be the aggressors, and we have to
say listen, enough is enough. We're going to muzzle you,

(05:58):
and we're going to do it the facts and shame
you into silence unless you want to keep spouting your
mouth and expose yourself for the hypocrites.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
That you are.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Jason Mattera is our guest. The book is Hollywood Hypocrites.
His first book, Obama Zombies, is priceless. Chapter two Private
Jets against global Warming.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Oh you gotta love, the love of the left.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
They take up the cause of global warming propaganda, and
yet their industry is made up of a bunch.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Of what I call pollution pips.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
I mean, these people have sasquatch sized carbon footprints. For instance,
Barbara streisand Harps, on her website about a global warming emergency, says,
we can all take steps to avoid the catastrophe by
using compact florests and light bulbs, by not running the
dishwater until it's full. But Babs, she spends twenty two

(06:51):
thousand dollars a year watering her wrning gardens. She requests
one hundred and twenty bath sized towels upon her arrival
to hotels, and for her she uses thirteen thirteen fifty
three foot semi trailers. I mean, my goodness, you and
I Michael would have to walk around all day long
spraying aerosol cans in the air just to keep up

(07:12):
with her car.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
We can't afford to keep up. Whether can you hold
with us? Jason? Yes, Jason Mattera is our guest. The
book is Hollywood Hypocrites. Learn more about him on our
blog at Michael Berry dot com. Our conversation with him
about Michael Moore, Spike Lee, Alec Baldwin, Whoopy Goldberg and
Moore coming up the Michael Berry Show. The book is

(07:35):
called Hollywood Hypocrites, The Devastating Truth about Obama's biggest backers.
And what is that devastating truth?

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Jason, Well, most people don't realize the power nexus between
the Hollywood and the Obama administration.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
It's so deep. You know.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
We hear a lot of belly aching today from the
left about Wall Street money and Citizens United, the Supreme
Court case and super packs and big oil. Obama has
the biggest industry in America on his size, who not
only act as his top financiers, but help frame his
reelection message. And you know, that's why I wanted to
spend the year investigating Hollywood and to show people that

(08:13):
when Barack Obama not only just gets CLOBs of cash
from them, he stops and as behind the scenes, ask
them for help in marketing and framing his reelection message
in twenty twelve. There are a lot of conservatives who
I think misguidedly write off Hollywood, dismiss them and say,
you know, these are just dumb celebrities. Their endorsements don't

(08:34):
matter much, and their endorsements do matter. There are people
who take their political cues, whether we like it or not,
from celebrities. And that's why I wanted to say, do
they actually do these celebrities Obama's biggest backers, do they
live by the same standard and policy prescriptions that they
try to foist on the rest of us.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
And you came to the conclusion they didn't give us
some examples.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Well, here's another one. Bonham.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
You know, he's considered just a rock saint, and you
know he is a nice guy, and I'm sure his
heart is in the right place. This man is a
major league hypocrite. He comes to the United States, as
he does every single year for a World Age Day,
likes to lecture and hector us that we need to
send more money to Africa, more money down poverty programs

(09:21):
around the world. And he actually says that even in
our dire economic times that we're facing, that we have
to punish politicians who dare try to curtail foreign aid,
saying cuts with cost lives. Well, this guy, he moved
you two from Ireland to Holland to take advantage of

(09:44):
a much much lower tax rate on music royalties, almost
eliminating their tax liability altogether. So here you have a
guy who's rating the poverty programs that he purports the champion,
because you know, it's not private charity talking about. He's
talking about money that has gotten through taxation to send
to Africa, and yet when it comes to his personal

(10:06):
finances he tries to hoard and hog all of it
as possible.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Ariana Huffington wrote a book called Pigs at the Trough
How corporate greed and political corruption are undermining America. And
you begin the chapter the priestess of pigs capitalist that
is Ariana Huffington is one scary broad wine.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
She is.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
You know, we know this is a woman who first
started out as a conservative, then said she switched side
she's a leftist, then hoodwinked everyone by becoming a mega
capitalist and selling the Huffington Post to AOL ranking in
three hundred million dollars reportedly, and she had, you know,
she has the audacity to talk about corporate greed, and

(10:48):
she just left nine thousand bloggers who were writing for
free to write for free. They didn't get no payday.
But what I found so fascinating and kind of scary
is the creator of the most influential progressive media platform.
Ariana Huffington is a priestess in a very little known
cult called Messiah.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
That's how they pronounced it.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
They pronounce it Messiah, Yeah, and it's based in California,
very New Age, and know she's been trying to distance
herself from it on and off for.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
The last thirty years.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
It's very very odd. They believe that their head, a
guy by the name John Roger, is actually higher than
Jesus Christ, and he's the embodiment of someone higher than
Jesus Christ every twenty five thousand years. So I just
thought it's fascinating that we never hear this about Ariana Huffington,
who is involved in some very very weird stuff that
I think if a conservative with her similar influence would

(11:44):
have been exploited a lot more in the media.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Jason Mattera as our guest. The book is Hollywood Hypocrites,
Chapter five Hollywood hate monger Spike Lee, Oliver Stone, Whoopi Goldberg,
Ted Danson, and Hollywood's racist race baiting progressives.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Oh, Spike Lee has never met a slave metaphor he
did not want to use.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
This man is so filled with hate.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
He bashes whites and blacks. He bashes conservative blacks for
not thinking the right way. He bashes people like Clint
Eastwood for not putting blacks in movies. He actually, I
don't even know if you know this. He slammed Clint
Eastwood for not including blacks in the movie Letters from
Iwo Jima, which was the perspective of the Japan.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, you say that. He slammed Woody Allen because he
doesn't have enough black people in his movies set in Manhattan,
when Manhattan is half black in his man.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, you know it's but this is Spike Lee, right,
you know, he's a hateful guy, Barack Obama. Though while
he's trying to lecture the rest of us about civility
and our course in culture, right, we have to be
respectful of everyone's ideas. That's the narrative the left is
trying to foist. Now, this man is happy to go,
as he did recently a month and a half ago,

(12:56):
to Spike Lee's home in Manhattan for a fundraiser thirty
eight thousand dollars a plate raked in six one point
six million dollars that evening overall, and Spike Lee has
said such racially insensitive things over the years. Now, granted,
his racism has matured, because in the early nineties when
you can say, well, he was just still a young
buck in the early nineties. Spike Lee once when he

(13:18):
got back from Africa to South Africa, he was quoted
as saying, I seriously wanted to pick up a gun
and shoot whites. The only way to resolve matters is
by bloodshed.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Jason Mattera. The book is Hollywood Hypocrites, Chapter six Hollywood
Leftist Loon Lifetime Achievement Award, and the winner is Alec Baldwin.
In the news recently, Yes, yes, a.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Good old Alec Bowlin. Here's a man who rails against
the evils of big banks, raiding taxpayers for bailout money.
And he became the pitchman for Capital One, which received
three point five six billion of that very same bailout
money he decries. He drones on and on about how
Republicans have allegiance to corporate profitability only a gate. Here's

(14:01):
a dude who works for General Electric. His main paycheck
General Electric, which in twenty ten had an effective American
tax rate of zero. So you know, if Alex Baldwin
and I don't forgrudge anyone for trying to lower their
tax rate. But the problem is, if you're going to
tell us that your decrying tax cuts for the rich,
if you're going to tell us that you're against the

(14:22):
Wall Street of bailiffs, please, you've got to start leading
by example and start stuffing your pocket with taxpayer money
or that evil corporate profitability that you so hate on.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
The blog sphere.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Jason, how are you on time? Can you stay with
us for another segment?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (14:37):
All right. The book is called Hollywood Hypocritian. I want
to get back to the book, but tell me if
you would when you wrote Obama Zombies your first book?
Is that right?

Speaker 3 (14:48):
That was my first book?

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Yeah, first book. I'm curious because a lot of our
listeners want to get involved. A lot of our listeners
do research. A lot of our listeners write blogs. We
have a woman who writes as a volunteer for a
lot of these blogs. How do did you take that
book and get it published?

Speaker 2 (15:02):
You know, it's a very good question I and it's
hard for me to answer it because I had a
publish or reach out to me.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
And what did you do to get their attention?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Well, you know, I was very active confronting politicians on
Capitol Hill with cameras, you know, filling the void. That's
the mainstream media, the toolbags and the press were not doing.
And I caught the eye of a publisher and they said,
you are you interested in writing a book? And if so,
do you have any book concepts? And I did. I
had Obama Zombies in my head after the two thousand
and eight election. And you know, it's a growing process

(15:35):
to write a book. It's it's not all glorious. People
think it's you know, I had to give up my
entire social life for about a year to write research
and then promote the book.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Well, trust me, I've been working on this for a while.
I have a new appreciation. Jason, can you hold with us?

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Yeah? You got all right.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Jason Matera is the author of Hollywood Hypocrites. He's the
national editor of Human Events. Was all so, the author
of Obama Zombies. We're going to talk to him the
next chapter I Love Be Healthy or else? How Hollywood
loons follow deer leaders lead in lusting to regulate what
we do, buy and eat. Stay tuned how Michael Larry

(16:16):
shows fact number three hundred and seventy two liberals contain toxins.
Therefore they cleanse yes return that energy to Earth. So
Father Gore may power himself. Say what, Hollywood has no shame,
as noted in the book Hollywood Hypocrites. So chapter eight,
Jason be healthy or else? I love this how Hollywood

(16:37):
loons follow deer leaders lead in lusting to regulate what
we do buy and eat.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Absolutely, we already know Michelle Obama right. She likes to
wag her organic fingers in our faces and even put
our kids. I mean, this is scary. You actually put
our kids on fat scales. They want to institute what's
called body mass index reports to accompany great reports, which yeah,
is exactly what fact kids need for their self esteem.

(17:05):
It's gonna be told that they have three chins. But
here's where the hypocrisy comes in. If Michelle Obauma really
wanted to lecture the rest of America on how we
should eat, first of all, her husband shouldn't be caught
wolfing down chili dogs every time he's away from her.
But more importantly, the biggest, the biggest, you can say,
advocacy for fried foods and salty snacks and all those

(17:31):
sugary items that we know are good for us. They're
actually through product placements in movies. I mean, we know
this from multiple years of data research. So that's why
you have lazed potato chips and you know M and
M's and all these fast food joints or sugary items
where they'll companies they'll they'll place big bucks into these
movies and that will increase consumerism for those products. Now, hey,

(17:55):
I love the sugary items, but if she's gonna wag
her finger, she should wag it at and the movie
industry for allowing these ads to be taking place. But
you know what, they're never gonna do that, Michael. Why
because of the cast flow. The movie industry makes millions
and millions of dollars through these ad billions of dollars
through these advertisements, and then they're able to fund that

(18:15):
right to the Obama campaign. The two biggest bumblers for
the Obama campaign are Hollywood movie executives.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Wow, Jason Mattero, The book is Hollywood Hypocrites. Chapter nine,
be peaceful or I'll shoot your ass. Why leftists do
not good violence spokespersons make you note the quote by
Barack Obama. They bring a knife to the fight. We
bring a gun. You know, it's interesting because this morning
I played some of these audio files of people and

(18:44):
hold on just to say, this is a good little
reminder of exactly what we're dealing with. You see, if
I can find me, Oh, here we are Montel Williams.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
So Michelle slight your rest, go ahead, why not if
you want to? Or you know, it's all a better thing.
Move that knife up about two feet nice, isn't it
all right at the collar bone?

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Or Mike malloy talking about uh about the Bush Press
Secretary Dana Perino.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
I used to have violence fantasies about uh, Scott McClellan
because of the impenetrable wall of idiocy and supposed ignorance
some of which was probably not supposed, that behind which
he used to hide at every press conference. All those

(19:34):
feelings are being shifted now to Dana Perino violence fantasies,
and I don't like I don't like it when I
get violence fantasies, because you know, I've tried my whole
life to overcome the idea that violence does anything except
cause more violence. But kind of a bit is hard.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
I love this paragraph. In fact, the profits of the
entertainment industry are so tolerant, so compassionate, and so does
Zyrus of Peace, that they will beat your ass if
you dare disagree with them. And God helped the conservatives
if and when any act of violence does irrupt, because
when it does, progressives will make sure Sarah Palin, Glenn
Back or Rush Limbaugh gets stuck with the blame.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Yeah, that's absolutely what happens. You know, I considered whether
or not to include the Montell Williams and the Mike
molloy rants, hateful, hateful, vile rants in my book because
I said, you know what, nobody really knows who these
people are anymore. I mean, Montell Williams has a radio show,
who you know who would have sunk it? It's more
like infomercials that he you know that, In fact, that's

(20:36):
exactly what it is. He gets these infomercials to really
sponsor him from.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Michael Lay Companies.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Yeah, Michael, Michael Lloyd. I mean, come on, nobody knows
what hell these people are, but they are dripping with hatred.
You know what's interesting, though, is uh is how all
these rappers who are huge, huge Obama supporters and headline
events for him, raise money for him. They're all part
of these eliminate.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
All War groups.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
They're also opposite peace activists, how they and they put
out these albums, and you know, I think they're very talented.
Some of their songs I really really like. Put some
like Kanye West, who calls himself a peace activist, right,
He's parts of a group's Eliminated All War. What are
the CDs called My Beautiful, Dark Twisted Fantasy had female
corpses hanging from the ceiling, Kanye West holding a woman's

(21:22):
blood soak the severed head, women held captive women and nooses.
I mean, I talk about coursing our culture and Obama's
fine with these people, associating himself with them and raising money.
The funniest I think was when Obama boasted he had
a little Wayne, and he was listening to Little Wayne,
a rapper on his iPad iPod, and it was at

(21:42):
the same time he said, yeah, listen to Lil Wayne.
Lil Wayne was in serving a sentence in jail for
a legal gun possession.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Are jay Z and the things jay Z has said.
Last thing I'll ask you, Jason Mattero, the book is
Hollywood Hypocrites. Your first chapter is Holly would welfare. And
you note a quote from director Michael Corente noting, Hey,
you know what, studio executives, they would shoot a movie
on Mars if they could get a twenty five percent
tax break.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
They absolutely would. They're forward to forty three states that
allow tax subsidies or subsidies directly to movie companies to
encourage film production in that particular state, and they are
total cowpies for taxpayers because they end up costing up
their money sending it to someone like Michael Moore. Literally,
Michael Moore got a check of one million dollars from

(22:32):
the taxpayers in Michigan to help produce Capitalism, a love
story which trashed capitalism. But regardless if a trashed or
didn't trash it, we shouldn't be having to subsidize the
movie production of millionaires. It's crazy, it's absurd, and it's
something that goes on in forty three states. So when
we look at movie producers to where should come to
mind welfare recipients.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Well, he certainly shouldn't be execting dollars from these evil
taxpayers that he hates so much. Might have been some
guns and God's folks in there. Who are these pictures
on the front? I can recognize John Travolta. The devastating
truth about Obama's biggest backers. We'll be Goldberg, Spike Lee.
Is that Alec Baldwin, Michael Moore, Kanye West? Is that

(23:14):
Cameron Diaz?

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Correct?

Speaker 1 (23:16):
And then who is the other? Oh that's Rob Riner. Okay,
it's kind of a it's all in that Barack Obama
hope and change picture. And then who's the last one
there with the dimple Matt Damon?

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Matt Damon, excuse me, I'm S'm sorry. Leonardo Dicapri.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Oh, there you go. Well, it's all the same.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
They're all the same, but they have massive influence and
we gotta we gotta start taking them on.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Fantastic. Thanks for being with us, Jason.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Michael appreciate it.
