Speaker 1 (00:04):
Chet Shody's ninety second news update.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Now, good morning, Carter Subrew. Gonna be nice sunny in
the eighties day, but a storm tomorrow is expected to
bring some rain, along with a major threat of dry
lightning and dusty wind.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Dry lightning with rain? Yeah, can you please explain what
dry lightning with rain is? No? Stand by? I cannot.
I'm gonna text b Mac. I wonder what exactly does
dry lightning mean?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I wonder if dry lightning has to do with the
earth is barren and dry and so the lightning may ignite.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Hey, random question, what does dry lightning mean? See what
he says? B Mac over at Fox.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Okay, I think I'm right though. Okay, so if I'm right,
then I'm also a meteorologist. Soccer fans, Today's semifinal between
defending World Cup champions Argentina and England is set for
noon and it will determine who will play Spain in
the final. And speaking of the final, the closing ceremony
of MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will feature a special
appearance from Tom Cruise, Robbie Williams, Italian singers You'd never
(01:13):
heard of Justin Bieber scheduled to headline the tournament's halftime show,
joined by Madonna, Coleplay, and Shakira. Jennifer Hudson will perform
the US national anthem ahead of the match.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
So Justin Bieber is the headliner over Madonna. She's got
the number one album right now. Yeah huh.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Maybe she's only in for like a song and he's
doing the whole thing, got it. Maybe she'll like trot
out and course it and be like Madonna and then leave.
You know how that works.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
That's what your visualizing.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I'm Madonna and then leave, got it? Major political showdown
taking shape in the Great State of Washington over the
controversial millionaire's tax. Opponents gathered more than half a million
signatures to put a repeal measure on the ballot. This fall,
Washington State placed number eleven and on CNBC's annual list
of the Top States for Business. So don't listen to
anybody who says otherwise, we're doing just fine. Feeling your
(02:07):
budget squeeze, Well, you're not imagining it, The Federal Bureau
of Labor Statistics says in the Seattle Tacoma region, costs
are up about four and a half percent from June
of last year. The largest overall change in a twelve
month period in the entire Western region and the second
highest in the nation. You know where the highest is.
So things are suddenly a little more expensive here, Philly.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Damn.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, damn is right. US military reimposed and naval blockade
on Iran, intensifying its airstrike campaign. Early today, Captain Sully Sullenberger,
best known for landing safely on the Hudson River after
birds strike in two thousand and nine, has announced he
has early onset Alzheimer's disease. He says, this is the
stranger knocking at the door that is affecting millions of
(02:54):
people across the world. Subaru is recalling over half a
million vehicles because they were manufacted with incorrect gross axle
weight rating information on the federally required certification label. And yes,
my own Super is affected. An incorrect GAR label could
lead an owner to overload the vehicle, increasing the risk
(03:16):
of a craft. Everybody, if you have a newer Super,
bring it back to the dealer. They have to replace
the sticker. That's pretty much it. On TV, the series
premiere of Lucky on Apple TV with Anya Taylor Joy
and Annette Benning. This premiere of Ride or Die on
Amazon with Octavia Spencer, the series premiere of Nation's Dumbest
(03:37):
on Fox with comedian Jack Whitehall. And in Sports Stormer
at the Sky Sounders play Portland tomorrow. All Star Draft
for WNBA is tonight on ESPN, and the sps are
on ABC and ESPN.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
And the American League won the All Star Game.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Right, I think I did that last year. You were like,
you have to tell everyone what happened, well, because there
was nothing else going on. Yeah, well there's this stuff
going on. It's not baseball related.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
But the All Star Game was last night.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yeah, and the who won the American the Americans.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
All I want is the top sports for a while,
and I can't have that. Time flies coming up, it
is National hot Dog Day, So let's bring back the
dumbest debate on planet Earth. You can call in, You
can text into five two, three on nine. You can
use the talk back via the iHeartRadio app. That little
(04:35):
red microphone right there on your screen. You you click
on that, your phone records you and it shows up
here in studio is a hot dog a sandwich.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
I'm gonna go with my old debate background and I
will take the opposite to whatever you think bender So
I will.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Which well, yeah, well don't do it for the sake
of it. We'll ask you what is a hot dog
a sandwich? It's meat between two pieces of bread or
is it meat between one piece of bread? Slit open?
Does that make a difference? It does? So is it
a sandwich or is it not a sandwich?
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Right, so you're asking for my for your opinion. Yes,
a hot dog is a sandwich. It is meat between
two pieces of bread. But it's not.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Two pieces of bread.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
It is just because they're connected at the side, doesn't
make it.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
It's a hot dog bun. Is one piece of bread?
Slit open? Yeah, so it's not between two pieces If if, however,
you're you're out of hot dog buns and you need
to do the I'm gonna take the one hot dog
cut in half and then cut that in half, and
now you've got four pieces of hot dog from one
(05:51):
hot dog, and you put that between two pieces of bread.
Now you've got a sandwich.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Okay, So if you're using that trickery, then is a
is a HOGI not a sandwich? Then like if you
go to Subway or Jimmy John's these guys also split
their loaf of bread. Question put toppings in hand it
to you. A HOGI, as we all know, is in
fact a sandwich. So I'm going to take away that
(06:16):
argument with the hogy argument.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Then it becomes the contents. I don't think a hot
dog is a sandwich meat.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Okay, I will meet you here.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
But if you go to Jersey mics and get you know,
your typical sandwich, that's a sandwich. Yeah, it's literally a
sub sandwich.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Unfortunately, I'm going to take the blooney argument to counter
this because blooney and other lunch meats that are blooney
likew are also capable of being in a sandwich. So
therefore hot dog is sandwich.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
I don't think it is.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
You don't think it is.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
No text messagers are coming in already. Split Yeah, so
I'm saying yes, it's the same sandwich, some saying no,
it's not a sandwich. The sub sandwich. However, argument that
may cause a problem.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah, it does. It interferes, but we're gonna need it
here for the defense because we all know, you know,
people bring in the euro It's like we're not talking
about euros. A sub sandwich is a sandwich.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
By the way, if you're just now tuning in good morning,
don't be jumping all over us saying that this is stupid,
because we already prefaced it by calling it the dumbest
debate on planet Earth. You want to do some radio skydiving. Sure,
we don't have anybody screening our calls. We have no
idea what this call is going to be. I the
Jacob Morning. What do you got?
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Good morning? I'm calling about the hot dog a sandwich? Yes,
And I want to propose the question, is a hamburger
a sandwich? I think the hot dog falls in the
same category as a hamburger, and a hotdog is a
thone standalone that is not a sandwich.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
That's a great hamburger a sandwich.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
I hate to give a hand burger attention on Hot
dog Day, but if you're asking the question, I would say, yes,
a hamburger is also a sandwich by these rules that
we're making. Now, bender, do you think a hamburger?
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I don't think a hamburger is a sandwich.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Now you think it's in its own standalone category.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
But then what about a roast beef.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Sandwiches?
Speaker 3 (08:19):
A great points it is not listed with sandwiches at
any restaurant.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Where is it listed under burgers? Oh, I've seen burgers
and sandwiches listed together.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Where do you go to eat? You can find some
fancy spanshy place in West Seattle you can.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Find burgers and chicken sandwiches and well, I've seen sandwiches
listening together, right, but that's all but not burgers.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
A burger is a burger, a hot dog, hot chicken sandwich? Category?
You have not? Yeah, they're all sandwiches. Who would First
of all, we're going to stop right here. Who's going
to put a chicken sandwich in the burger category?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
I've seen it, you have not.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Tax is a meatball sandwich truly a sandwich? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
If it's like a meatball sub then yeah. Major threat
of dry lightning and gusty wade.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Like you're just making stuff off dry lightning between the
atmospheric river and now dry light ry lightning. These are
things we never heard as kids.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
As told by Brian McMillan from Rocks. Dry lightning is
literally what it sounds like when there's not that much
rain but there's lightning, and so that's dangerous because it
could ignite wildfires.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Heads up everybody.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Today's semifinal between defending World Cup champs Argentina and England
set for noon, and we'll determine who will play Spain
in the final. Driving around the area this weekend I
five five ninety ninety nine all impacted by another round
of roadwork and lay enclosures, so it's really going to stink.
If you plan on traveling by ferry, you'll need to
plan around cancelations and or delays on a few roots
(09:53):
due to low tides. The American Red Cross has declared
a nationwide emergency blood shortage, including Western washing. The gap
between supply and demand is unsustainable, so please donate if
you can. US House voted yesterday to make daylight saving
time permanent, springing Congress forward on an issue that has
long stumped lawmakers. The measure will now head to the
(10:14):
Senate for approval before going to the President for his signature.
By the way, our Senator Patty Murray introduced this bill.
US has confirmed over sixteen hundred cases of cyclos sporiasis
since May first. An additional fifty one hundred cases are
being investigated.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
If confirmed.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
That total is twenty seven times higher than it was
at this point last year, with cases identified in thirty
four states. If you're asking should I or should I
not eat produce here in the Great State of Washington,
the answer is yes, eat your fruits and vegetables, but
wash them first.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
So this isn't the spore disease from the last of us. No,
what's it called. It is called cyclic cyclo, right, that's
exactly what it was. No, it was Pedro Pascal was fighting.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
No, no, no, huh huh. That was a mushroom thing.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Large plumes of Canadian wildfire.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
This is this is not that. You're okay, You're gonna
be okay.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
It's a slippery slope between fruits and vegetables and mushrooms.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
You just want me to tell you not to eat
any fruits and vegetable?
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Is it a mushroom of either.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
A mushroom is a spore. You're okay, You're okay. You're
just drinking protein shakes anyway.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Thank god, I don't need any of this. Nobody's putting
any of that crap in your bowl. You're fine. Large
plumes of Canadian.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Wildfire smoke set to pour over the border, bringing dangerous
air quality to more than one hundred million people in
the Midwest and northeast still okay over here. The fate
of the bison that tossed the tourists more than eight
feet into the air at Yellowstone National Park has been decided.
A lot of people were worried about the bison, going
you better leave that bise alone or stuff. Well, don't
say that, because sometimes they don't something. They're like, well,
(11:52):
he's got a bloodlust, like he's some freak and we
can't have this going on.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
But he lives there.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yes, in this case, no managerial action will be taken
against the bison, thankfully.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
In sports, the Americans have won the All Star Game
American League. Ah Mara, it's the greatest league. It's the
American League. Your baseball mom merrack Come, I don't even
know why I tried last hour.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I thought I will annoy you next hour again.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Look I've done it. Success, Jody, that's the lead thousand
dollars keyword and all you want now though, check in with.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Your body, touch it around, if you see something happening,
report it to your doctor.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
It's health corner, Jody floor is yours. Thank you bender.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
This health Corner is hosted by me as It is
a personal story I'm going to not burry the lead
because I want to tell you guys right away, and
then I'll tell you how we got here. I have
breast cancer, which is still so hard to say, even
though it's been months of dealing with it. I don't
(13:14):
know if you remember, we all kind of dealt with
this together. Three years ago. I had colon cancer, not
a scare. Colonoscopy found a blip, had to be cut
out of me. We did it, We talked about it.
It led a lot of people to go get their colonoscopy,
and some people found polbs also that were suspicious looking,
so it ended up being good.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
For everyone, and I was fine.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
But the funny thing about being a cancer survivor is
that there is really no fine. They tell you there's
no evidence of the disease, and then you move on
with your life. But you have this sort of nightmare
where you're like kind of worried that it's gonna come back,
but you live your life anyway, you know, So welcome
to my actual nightmare that we are in. What happened
(14:03):
was back in April, during spring break. I was sitting
in my sauna, which I know sounds very bougie. But
I have when I sit in it often, and often
when I sit in it, I self test. You know,
women are supposed to do breast health checks, and I
just started sort of doing them when I sat in
the sauna and I found something that definitely did not belong.
(14:24):
And the next day I saw my doctor and she said,
I definitely feel that too, but it's probably nothing. You'll
make an appointment and you'll go get an ultrasound. So
two weeks later I had that appointment. Worse two weeks ever,
that doctor said, yeah, definitely feels like something. Let's get
an MRI. So I schedule an MRI. That was two
(14:45):
weeks later. If you thought the first two weeks waiting
was bad, try this two weeks. That is bad stuff.
And they said, yes, there's something in there. Gonna have
a biopsy. So two weeks later I had a biopsy
and thought that waiting for the MRI two weeks was bad.
Let me introduce you to waiting for the biopsy. Biopsy,
(15:08):
they said, yes, there's something in there. Results were invasive
ductal carcinomo, which is the most basic bee of all
the breast cancers. And I have not one, but two
little masses in there. Fast forward to a meeting with doctors.
(15:33):
Now we are almost a month and a half in
and yes, I was going to work and I was
keeping this very private with just a very small group
of friends and family, and of course Bender, who has
been great, and actually everyone at my heart has been great,
because you've got to tell the bosses when you've got
something going on, even in something as personal as this.
(15:54):
My treatment will be a double mistect me which is
coming up at the end of the month. I can't say.
I can't say how much I'm looking forward to getting
the surgery and getting it over with, just because it
feels like this has been the longest couple of months
of my life. I'm okay, I know it sounds like
(16:17):
my voice is breaking. I've been waiting a long time
to tell you guys. I haven't talked about it on
social media, and it has felt very heavy, weighing on
me because a lot of this job is talking about
your life and talking about stuff. So every day we
come in here and Bender says, do you have anything
for the show?
Speaker 3 (16:36):
And I have.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
So much going on in my life that I'm not
telling you guys about. But starting now, you know, so
I'm good. I'm actually really good. I know it sounds
like I'm in hysterics, but I'm actually so elated just
to get this off my chest so I can just
come clean and be honest about what's going on with me.
(16:58):
Sometimes the cancer dying this is scary, and this one
has scared the Bejesus out of me because you start going,
oh my God, is it everywhere in me?
Speaker 5 (17:08):
Like?
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Am I just riddled with it? But I have a
great team at fred hutch and they're going to take
care of me, and this surgery is hopefully going to
take care of it. I don't know if I'm going
to have to have any treatment after the surgery. I
won't know until about a week after the surgery, which
is the bs of it all, because you feel like
such a massive surgery you should be done, but they
(17:29):
take some lymph nodes and they have to check and see.
I'm not holding on too tight to any outcome, but
I would really like it if this surgery would be
the end of it and then I could move on
in my life without cancer. I would encourage every woman
out there to always do self checks because mammogram is
(17:51):
not enough. Your yearly mammogran is clearly not enough. I
get one every year in case you're wondering, and I
don't know if it missed it or if this action
just grew within the year, but I found this myself
and I'm going to cut it out and I'm going
to cut the other one off too, because who cares.
And I'm going to be so aerodynamic after all of this,
(18:13):
and I won't be able to give my good hugs
for a while. So if you see me, you better
get one in the next couple of weeks because surgery
is happening soon, very much looking forward to it, and
I know it's going to be a tough recovery, but
I have an amazing group of friends. Josh is being amazing,
although he's not cleaning up after himself yet, but I
(18:35):
keep telling him, once I have this surgery, I'm not
gonna be able to pick anything up, so you are
going to have to start doing it. My ex husband
has been great, and I just want to thank everybody
for any support that might be in coming. I probably
won't be able to get to every message, but I'll
see them all. And for everybody who's going through this,
(18:57):
my god, there are so many of us, and it
really supremely sucks. So now at least I can be
open about it on the air, and I promise I
won't exclusively talk about breast cancer, but it's definitely coming
up for pet Peeve Wednesday, so to bender, thank you
for handling the show. When I'm out, I will be
(19:20):
back asap, and like I said, more aerodynamic, which will
be better for everyone.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
It won't be for a couple of weeks. It won't
be for number one, yeah, number two on behalf of
every single person who has already flooded the text window
and I haven't even looked at the talkbacks and the
phones are ringing. We love you, Thanks, and you'll get
(19:49):
through this. You know you're going to get through this. Yeah,
and you're the toughest freaking person I know.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Sick of proving it, but thank you. It would be
nice to just be done forever after this. I'm really
looking forward to the surgery. I'm really looking forward to
moving on. I've gathered so many things in my house
and I'm gonna try and put together an Instagram video
of like get ready with me for Adolphus deectomies, like
so you can see the items and I don't know
(20:25):
what else to say about it. I think that's all
the personal information I'll give, So if you want like specifics,
you probably won't get them.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
But it's early stages.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
I caught it myself like a boss, and and I'm
looking forward to moving on. And thanks Bender, I appreciate
you watching the show while I'm gone.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
There is quite a bit for us to catch the
audience up on over the course of the next couple
weeks of all the stuff that, like you said, you've
been prepping for. Ugh, some of it very serious, some
of it extremely funny. We've been having a good time
even but we will catch everybody up. But there you go.
That's corner Jody's Instagram, Facebook. You guys can flood all
(21:11):
that stuff with all of your will wishes and the
text and the talkbacks and whatever to everybody else is
going through it. I see you. I'm with you. We're
all gonna make it all right. Yeah, we're gonna take
a break when it come back. We got showdown pet

Tom Cruise, appearances by Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, some Italian
singer you've never heard of, Justin Bieber, Madonna, cole Play, Shakira,
Jennifer Hudson. It is going to be a very big
deal and certainly worth watching. Major political showdown taking shape
in Washington over the state's controversial millionaire's tax opponents gathering
more than half a million signatures to put a repeal
measure on the ballot. This fall, Scadgy County's commissioners held
(26:31):
a public hearing to discuss a six month moratorium on
data centers in the county's unincorporated areas to make sure
that crops aren't affected by any sort of weirdness. US
Military reimposed to naval blockade on Iran, intensifying its airstrike

yesterday to make daylight saving time permanent, springing Congress forward
(26:54):
on an issue that everyone's been talking about, and by
the way, it was our Senator Patty Murray that introduced
that bill. Captain Chesley Sully Sullenberger, best known for landing
safely on the Hudson River after bird strike, has announced
he has Alzheimer's disease. The fate of the bison that
tossed that dude more than eight feet in the air
in Yellowstone National Park has been decided and no management

action will be taken against the bison, meaning they're not
going to kill him because of his bloodlust. A dating

Speaker 3 (27:35):
What does that mean? I don't understand.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Matching you with someone each week and planning out your
date meaning they take it the onus off of you.
I suppose they're like, this week you're going out with
Bill and you guys are going to have uscavender hunt
and a picnic.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Sorry, is that what you guys did at the Ohio
State University scaviner hun?
Speaker 2 (27:55):
No, we got wasted and grabbed the nearest person like
whoever it was, and made sure we put our cigarettes
down first, if my memory serves correctly. Soundgarden guitar guitarist
Kim Thale says the band's final album, featuring recordings of
late singer Chris Cornell, will likely arrive next year. He
says work was continue on the project they started several
(28:15):
years ago, and they might even tour to promote it.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
On TV.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Today, the series premiere of Lucky on Apple TV with
Anya Taylor Joy and Anette Benning. Anya Taylor Joy is
a con artist forced to go on the run from
the FBI and her mob connected mother in law played
by Anette Benning after her husband disappears with stolen millions.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Dude a net Benning playing a bad guy. She's a
bad guy in the Yellowstone sequel. Oh is she? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Now you're watching all the Yellowstones?
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Right?
Speaker 3 (28:48):
What farmers do? Because I'm a farmer?
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Right?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
No more watching Blue turn on Yellowstone. We gotta get tips.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Also, a series premiere, Ride or Die with Octavia Spencer
is on Amazon, and the series premiere of Nation's Dumbest
is on Fox. This actually sounds pretty good.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
I'm going to read this.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
No. Jack Whitehall, who's a great comedian, hosts a competition
where twelve celebrities endure a summer school experience while trying
to get off the show as quickly as possible. This week,
the smartest student graduates off the show, and whoever is
still stuck there at the end is the Nation's Yeah.
(29:32):
So you've got like iced tea and jojo Cy Why
we've for this stuff? Carmen, Electra, Doctor Drew I Know
and sports Stormer at the Sky Sounders play Portland Tomorrow
American as You're all.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
I want from Toe the West Brocket. How do you
spell sql s.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
E h U E L e L Why how are
you spelling it?
Speaker 3 (29:54):
I was it. It doesn't look right, it's right. Somebody
texts it in saying Bender, it's the Dutton ranch that
has a nut bending.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Isn't that why he's that Yellowstone?
Speaker 3 (30:03):
I said the Yellowstone sequel.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Yeah, I said Dutton Ranch and then I said Yellowstone,
and I was making fun of you.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Everybody's just and just they screwed up. Throw that text
in there.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Well, some people are trying to be helpful, not everybody.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
It's the tone, you know.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
I can I can tell the tone on a text
because they said your name first. That's right, Bender, Bender, God,
I think they were trying to be helped.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Don't you know anything?
Speaker 1 (30:32):
El It's time for America's favorite pastime, complaining, get it
off your chest. It's Jody and Bender's pet peeve Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (30:42):
It's too Peeves. Are anyone who leaves time on a microwave,
because just clear it out.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
It's not hard.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
And anyone who leaves cabinet doors or drawarers open. I'm
short and I walk into those so it drives me insane.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Thank you, and.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
See yeah, that bothers me too, about this.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Hey, Jodi and bender is pet pave Wednesday.
Speaker 7 (31:07):
Oh my goodness, my car has been at the shop
for two weeks because they've been waiting on the park
that keeps taking forever. And I don't think they're going
to give it a courtesy vacuum, which really irritates me
because I've been meaning to vacuum my car for the
longest time, but I've been so busy and now that
it's just sitting there, they could really vacuum it for me.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
This's at least they could do. I love a courtesy vacuum.
You know, what's a really good I didn't think about
this until why I heard her pet peeve when you
go get your car worked on, Yeah, they used to
wash your car for you sometimes, and now they just
give you a certificate to go hit a local car wash.
I'm like, but okay, now that's two stops I have
(31:50):
to make. Why couldn't you just wash it when it
was here?
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Because of the staff anymore? To be able to detail
for detail the car wash. Yeah, you know, I mean
I think a dealer still does that.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
No, it doesn't. They do that for me at Carter Sieber.
That's because you're Jodi Brothers. It's rae like like my
black car, the Backmobile. Yeah, that's an expensive car. They
don't clean that. They don't they don't wash it.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
You only gave them a million dollars for it. Oh
my god, I'd be so annoyed. Come on, you gotta
wash that thing.
Speaker 8 (32:23):
My pet peet is when you see somebody with their
pants halfway down their legs and nobody says anything. I'm
not shy. I'll go up to them and tell them
to pull up their stupid cants.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Okay, Boomer, the fashion is back in. It went out
for a while, and it's back in for the boys,
and it is just ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Is Josh wearing
his pants like that?
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Not around me?
Speaker 2 (32:51):
But I have seen him let his pants go down
because that's the style. I think it is ridiculous. You
look so stupid.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
You could call me.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Boomer all day long. What if you have to start
running if I don't wear skirts? Seriously, what if like
a fight breaks out and you have to start running.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
That's why you don't wear skirts. What's a skirt going
to do? Why would kick? Why would a skirt? Why
would a skirt hinder?
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Your running because I won't be able to kick or
I have long youth, I have long legs, I run
with long strides. I'm like a freaking gazelle. But I
can't run fast in the skirts.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
But wouldn't a skirt wouldn't that be easier to kick in? No,
I'd rip it open like the Hulk, like the she hulk.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
I'm thinking like a dress, like a poodle skirt.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Like a wedding dress.
Speaker 5 (33:43):
Wednesday peep is when you go to a pharmacy or
you go to pick something up and the people that
are behind a chat just look at you and they
continue to work.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
We're not pushing back on that one.
Speaker 6 (34:05):
No, Hey, good morning, Jody and bender pet peeve for
pet peeve. Wednesday dishes in the sink when the dishwasher
has dirty dishes and there's room if you dirty dish,
put in the dishwasher, not super hard. That's a pet peeve.
Have a great day.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Agree with that. And here at work people put dirty
dishes in the sink and it's like, does your mom
live here?
Speaker 3 (34:29):
What are you waiting for? Put it in the dishwasher.
I don't do that.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
No, I know you don't do not.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
I don't do it.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
Well.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
We haven't had flatjacks in months, so we haven't dirty.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Dish, which brings me to my pet peeve. Okay, why
can't healthy food taste better? I really want a donut?
You should just have I have been eating so well
and I really want a donut. And there's a bag
of the Hostess donuts that Jody got me and they're
(34:58):
just sitting under the board over here, and I love
a donut. You should have one, but it's I It's
it's called willpower. And then I text my wife. She's
you know, she send me pictures of the animals and
I'm like, hi, good morning. I'm like, I really want
a donut, and she responds with do it, dude, and
sends me all the freaking animated gifts of Homer simpsonating donuts.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Yeah, you are extremely strict when you're on your health kick.
And for me, when I used to go on very
strict diets, it was when I was the most strict
that I was the most desperate to get off. And
then when you fall off, you really fall off, and
like anything that rolls near your mouth goes in it.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
Like that's not how you have to be. You could
be eight twenty three. That's a good one.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
You could be more casual about it. Keep eating healthy,
but give yourself a treat. You certainly deserve one. You
guys got the farm together in a week, and that
was a lot of manual labor, so A, you don't
have enough calories, and B you deserve a treat.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
I don't have enough, cat, you don't. That's the spin.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
You're in a deficit and you're already quite slender, so
you don't need to lose any weight. You're gonna stay
fit because you're a farmer now, So have a handful
of donuts. I said, I'd look at the corner and
I wouldn't even watch you spin my terror run, so
you could not feel judged by me, which I wouldn't anyway.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
What is your pet, peeve? Jody?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Well, now that the cat's out of the bag about
my breast cancer diagnosis, I can come clean with my pet, peeve,
which is, and this will surprise probably nobody. Man insurance
is not really fun to deal with. I know that
a lot of people have a lot of like persistent
troubles that they deal with all the time. And I
(36:44):
don't know how you guys do it because and I
don't have anybody to interpret all this stuff for me.
It's just me. But clearly I'm managing a stressful time
in my life. I have a problem that needs to
get taken care of.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
So I'm in a moment and they're not gonna help.
The last thing I need.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Are confusing letters and questionable emails and all sorts of communications.
And why can't it accusations of this and that?
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Why can't it just be? Here's what I've been diagnosed with,
here's what needs to be done. Here's the bill. I've
taken care of the copay, pay the rest, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
And they have very nice people who work on the phones,
so when you do call, you get like a sympathetic,
empathetic person. But also but then two minutes later you
open up your mailbox and there's communication that's confusing.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
Seriously, why can't it be here's my diagnosis, here's the procedure.
I'm getting done. I have paid my copay, you pay
the rest. That's how it's supposed to work.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Or dream a little dream. I was talking to a
friend over the weekend who lives in Europe now, and
she was just like, man, I just walk into the
doctor and I show my little card and then that's it.
She's like, I really feel for you. I'm like, man,
shut up, dude.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
Red Music Festivals by Capitol One. Can't see your face
on the camera. Oh, just have it in front of
(38:20):
the There we go. Jody's had to move flowers out
of the way.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
That's a beautiful orchid.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Folks share at the radio stations showing up with flowers
and candles.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yes, a little known fact. Yes, if you have cancer,
you also will get twenty five candles, which is great
because I love candles and I burn right through them,
especially the ones that say f cancer or you got this.
I've done burned through all those.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
So I need a new stand. Have you done burned
through all of your candles?
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Standing the globe to find the news you didn't know
you needed to know? You know that daily vendor said,
now here's.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Bender's my Olympic hot time. It's always nice when the
rest of the world doesn't really pay attention and a
story comes along it's a funny story. People are like,
oh my god, this would be a great because that
story and then you read me reads the story and
goes because we specialize in these kind of stories. For
(39:26):
this particular segment. You go, oh yeah, this is a
follow up. Oh yeah, okay, because this story is everywhere.
A man in.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Florida, Florida, I could feel it.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
This week he was found guilty of having sexual relations
with a vacuum cleaner.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
Ah. Yes, the Disneyland guy.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Who could forget. Keep in mind, it is now the
middle of and this story took place in January, right,
and it's such a good story.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
I can't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday,
but I remember this story.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
This guy was having relations with a vacuum cleaner outside
of a home in a gated community. Inn a gated community.
It was called It's the wester Hold.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Now are you looking for the vacuums name? Because I
believe Windsor Hills Resort resort.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
He entered a no contest plea to indecent exposure in
connection with the incident earlier in the year in Kissing Me, Florida.
He was sentenced this week to twelve months probation find
two hundred and seventy one dollars in order to undergo
a psycho sexual evaluation within the next month.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
My question is yes, was this a guy who made
a bad decision of doing this outside of his own
home or was this a guy who had that had
that specific thing. It's like when you fall in love
with inanimate objects. There's the lady who married the Eiffel Tower.
(41:17):
And then there was a whole documentary that I watched
on a woman who fell in love with a roller
coaster and his name was Bruce. And there was the
woman who fell in love with the fence, and they
filmed her just like standing next to the fence and
then like having relations with the fence. And I was like,
what am I watching?
Speaker 3 (41:34):
And please? Can it please go on forever? According to
police reports, hey witness provided investigators with pictures and video
showing this guy taking care of himself with a vacuum
in broad daylight.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Do you think he loved the vacuum or do you
think he was just a means to an end.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
He was naked from the waist down. Sure, this is
the way the story reads. He was naked from the
waist down, consorting with the applying, consorting, consorting with the lions. Yeah,
let's go on. A detective provided an unnecessary play by
play because he has the video he continued to use
(42:15):
use the handheld section of the vacuum before using it.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
To cleanup suction.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yeah, the buddies, Yeah, for the berries, So he was
using it was he was using part of the thing
for the twig and then using the suction for the berries.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
He's done this before. Clearly they're in a relationship.
Speaker 3 (42:40):
The police added that two witnesses advised that the suspect
be obviously committing these acts for his own pleasure, as
he visibly reacted to stimulize. It was becoming more apparent
that people were watching growth. You know, you could do
this kind stuff in your own house. In addition to
(43:02):
the vacuum episode, police say this guy engaged in a
in further illicit acts at a second vacation property. Neighbors
told police that this guy was seen on multiple occasions
walking around the property completely nude except for his socks
and or just wearing a tank top.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Just a tank top, so bottom's always off, just in
case he bumps into something he likes, likes ease. So
wait a second, that's a rental place that he was
staying in like he was on a vacation. It wasn't
his house.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
It doesn't it doesn't say if the first part was
a vacation thing. Yeah, the second part definitely was.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
I always have to remember this when I'm in a
Airbnb not to get too comfortable, because like the person
who rented the place before you is this guy, and
he's doing it everywhere with everything.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
He lives with his wife, who is a nurse, in
a city about thirty five miles away from the Windsor
Hills resort. In his younger days, the story reads, this
guy was a powerlifting champion and still competes in masters events.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
Sure he does masters events, and his younger days he
also dated a dustbuster because that was hot in the eighties.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
Remember Dustbusters. I don't think that's not what my dustbuster
sounded like.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Yeah, they were good, you know, for busting dust and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Program, we're just gonna leave it there.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Get the program is done.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
One of the biggest birthdays of the entire year will
be celebrated on this program tomorrow during time flies. Oh
is it a big.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
We have?
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Come on? We have more tickets to see Toe the
Wetsprocket and men at work. We have a showdown, four
more j Leno tickets and other stuff, other stuff, stephen birthday.
It is not Steven Sagall's birthday. Ben Doug and Jody B.
Speaker 4 (45:08):
I have a request if you can play Too Late
for Goodbyes by Julian Lennon his damn, I haven't heard
that one.
Speaker 8 (45:16):
No what
