Speaker 1 (00:03):
Five seven set Shody s ninety second news update.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Yeah? Y?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
What do you want? What do you want from me?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
The damn Mike's got empowered by Carner Zuberu. Multiple wildfires
sparked across Washington yesterday and Franklin, Okanagan, and Kittitas counties.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
They knew it.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
The thunderstorms swept through the region. The fire posing the
greatest threat right now is the Kaiser Canyon fire in
Okanagan County, prompting go now evacuations. Snowkwami Pass Fire and
Rescue say there's a new fire burning. There's just northwest
of Lake Kachise Cruise, asking people to steer clear of
the area. A King County judge ordering Seattle to crack
down on lude behavior at Denny Blaine Park. Here's this

(00:42):
story again. But the park can stay open. The city
must now staff the park to watch out for illegal
behavior and install privacy buffers for neighboring homes. If you're
gonna staff the park to watch out for illegal behavior,
you had better send the coolest police office down there.
Because that's Dendy Blaine Park is that's the nude beach,

(01:05):
that's the hookup spot and you can't send someone down
there who's gonna freak out, like you have to send
the coolest police officer we have.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I don't know who it is.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
United Airlines nixing some middle seats on certain newer planes
and replacing them with a table which can be shared
by the people in the window.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
And aisle seats. Hold the phone.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
What no middle seat? Now, I know you haven't dealt
with this in a long time because you only fly
first class because you're the boogiest mf or in the world.
When it comes to air he will not everyone. What
is it a half hour flight to, like, you know, Victoria,
BC or whatever. You would book a first class seat

(01:46):
on any plane. There's no flight short enough to warrant,
so you don't understand this. But there's still people who
sit in the middle seat. It's often my son, Joshuaz.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
That's that's awful.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
It's awful, awful because I'm a window person. Straight up.
I don't do this. Aisle stop.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Oh, I do the aisle? I sit? Yeah, you like
to stand up and walk around. I can't walk around.
I just don't want to have to ask over asking.
It's just rach and I. But I don't have to
step over anybody right to go to the bathroom.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I don't go to the bathroom. I'm like a camel.
I will sit on a window and not move to Europe.
I will sit right there. We flew to New Zealand together.
Do you ever remember me standing up and going anywhere?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:33):
No, no, no, you were looking anyway because I was
behind you.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
How could you see what I was doing behind you?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Mark Hamill's Lightsaber from The Empire Strikes Back just sold
that auction, setting a new screen a new record for
screen used Star Wars prop vender how much?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
It's not in a million. So I'm gonna go you're
starting off wrong. Okay, I'm gonna go seventy seven three.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Points seventy five million dollars. I said, you're starting off wrong.
It wasn't the millions, damn uh huh in the three
millions almost four again.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
If I had that kind of disposable elon musk money,
that's kind of crapy by all the time. Yeah, that's fun.
You could hit somebody with it, Yeah, Chloe Feynman is quick.
You know it doesn't actually work right, You could kill
some what do you hit somebody?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Take their hand right off, drop them down the well.
Chloe Feynman has quit Saturday Night Live after seven seasons.
Julia Garner and her husband Mark Foster have separated after
six years of marriage. In theaters this weekend ninety six
percent on Rotten Tomatoes. It's the oddest I can't wait
to see this movie. Matt Deamon, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lapita,

(03:42):
and Yongo John Bernthal. It's gonna be so so. This
thing picks up from after.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
The whole Trojan Horse thing, right, and he's trying to
go home, and he's trying to go home, right, okay,
and her trying to get home.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Got it?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
On TV, Peacock has the streaming premiere of Obsession. Hulu
has they Fight with Andre Holland from Moonlight.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
What's that they fight? They fight.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
It's an ex con who returns to his old gym
to mentor kids in the boxing ring, so they literally
fight and sports Saturday on Telemoondo Fox in Peacock, France
and England fight for third place in the World Cup
final matches Sunday between Spain and Argentina. Mariner's square off
against the Giants in the first of three games. At
Home Sounders, rock By Cascadia, Rival Timbers, Storm Fell to

(04:26):
the Sky.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
They are now six and twenty. Give me the jet.
It is Jody and Bender.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
How you doing, Iam iron Man?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I am Myron Man's Shatner Shatner Ron recording his He's
recording his heavy metal album. He'll be performing it I
at Riot Fast in Chicago in September. The Rider just

(04:58):
came out. He is ninety five years old. The concert rider,
for those that don't know, it's the backstage requirements demands
requests from every band that shows up at every venue, big, small, whatever.
Every band has a concert rider. Never seen anything like that.
And this is like the most famous one, easily urban legend.

(05:20):
The most famous one is Van Halen when they requested
to have all of the brown m and ms taken
out of the bowl. And it wasn't because they were
being d bags. It was because, as we learned later,
if they would walk into the dresser room and see
that brown emms were not taken out of the ball
of em and m's, they knew that everything else on

(05:41):
the concert rider wasn't paid attention to.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Right well, I'm not sure if Shatner thinks that Chicago
and Riotfest is going to provide all of this stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
But here we go.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Okay, there's five things that he wants Chicago to provide.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Number one rename a boat in honor of Shatner so
he can captain a ship again.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Number two one.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Prominently displayed ride Fest billboard with Shatner's face. I'm the
face of one lucky fan some random a classic Chicago
food item to be named in tribute to Shatner. Co
anchor the weather outside with Chicago's most beloved meteorologist and
sing take me out to the ballgame at a Chicago
baseball game.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
That would be at the Cubs game right now. Here's
what he wants from Ryetfest.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Fire Breathers, an intro video created by guar an artist.
Golf cart to be replaced by a Dolorean, so you know,
the cart that brings you from your trailer up to
the stage and everybody rides in a cart because you
can't just be walking around the ground. He wants it
to be a DeLorean.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Sure, okay.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Four feet of Polish sausage. One Montreal Canadians hockey sweater
signed by John Stamos. One pair of white tube socks
and one pair of underwear, an assortment of adoptable puppies
sourced from a reputable local animal rescue nonprofit.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
And here's the last two.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Oh okay, one bowl of sour kraut in the dressing
room ready to eat. And finally, a bouquet of flowers
and of oz you know, something sweet, something dainty.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Those are all demands, demands, and unless they're all men, perform.
Laurian the boat that take me out to the ballgame,
the billboard.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
The.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Figure out what would be what the the easiest stuff
on that list would get would be, like Shatner to
do take me out to the ballgame in a Cubs game. Sure,
that's easy. All celebrities that come to town do that. Okay,
the billboard, Okay, you pull that off. No problem. The
weather thing, of course, the weather guy's gonna like trip
over himself to get shattered. I mean, it's no problem. Wow,
it's all possible. I mean, he's ninety five years old,

(07:50):
doesn't look ninety five, doesn't act ninety five.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
And obviously they're getting a lot of attention in the
fact that he's playing riot Fest. So his camp goes,
if we want to really get attention.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
This is what we do.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
He's a legend, He's an icon. I can't wait to
watch the videos of all these things happening, the video
of him singing in the video of him and DeLorean,
if needing, this hour, crowd and all this stuff.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
If you were told today by iHeart that we're going
to fly to Chicago to cover this, would you go No,
who's gonna watch my dogs? Flocks?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
That lightning, and yesterday multiple wildfires did spark in Franklin, Okanagan,
and Kitta test Counties. In fact, there's also a new
wildfire burning northwest of Lake Kchise, and crews are asking
people to steer clear of that area. So today may
not be the day to go hiking around snow Kwami Pass.
A man used his car as a barrier to stop
an out of control suv on I five after the

(08:43):
driver suffered a medical emergency with a child strapped inside
the car. The driver and the child were rescued without
serious injury. Because this dude took his Kia I think
it was like a Kia Forte and blocked her like
blocked her SUV with his car sort of like rammed
her into the barrier and then went in and like
unlocked the child from the car seat and made sure

(09:03):
the woman was okay. She had had some sort of
like seizure or faints. I'm not exactly sure what happened,
but now this guy's raising money to repair damage to
his car from this heroic act. The link is on
our Facebook page. If you have five bucks, let's get
this dude's Kiafase.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Absolutely. You know, he's an absolute hero.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
US military carried out it's six consecutive night of strikes
against Iran as the conflict shows no sign of de escalating.
RAN's retaliatory acts appeared to be the largest since talks
with the US collapsed. Health officials announced the source of
the cyclo cyclot the diarrhea stuff. The outbreak has been
linked to shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants

(09:41):
in five.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
This is why I don't eat lettuce.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
The CDC and the FDA said they traced the outbreak
to a single supplier of lettuce from Mexico used at
Taco Bell locations in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Jody, I don't get diarrhea from my hostess donut. Would
never do that to me? Makes you feel all warm inside.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Officials urge consumers na to each treaded iceberg lettuce from
Taco Bell in those states while the investigation continues. Can
you imagine being in one of those states and being
like extra lettuce at this point, like you're just asking
for it. General Mills is recalling over three quarters of
a million Pillsbury bread rolls because they could contain glias.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
No, yeah, no, yeah, wow? Were you making like in
my we do cinnamon rolls? Right? And I was like, oh,
for a moment, I'm like, oh, no, I think it's
like the crescent rolls. Oh we do those two? Well?

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Look out for Glass Prime videos. God of War has
been forced to recast its lead man. This stinks after
Ryan Hurst. Do you remember Sons of Anarchy, the guy
who played Opie. Yes, So that's Ryan Hurst. He's a
great actor. He hasn't been a lot of stuff lately.
This was gonna be his next big thing. He worked
out for five months, He put on forty pounds of

(11:03):
muscle to star in this Amazon God of War series.
He suffered an injury. He tore his bicep. He went
into surgery and then he was in recovery. But then
Amazon said this is gonna take too long, sorry, and
recast him.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Oh he has the role.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
He had already shot five episodes, and like, I mean,
I know, I don't know him personally, but like, man,
that's stings, dude. I know a man got past security
at thirty rock yelling a racial slur at Today host
Craig Melvin. The dude was reportedly looking for Al Roker.
Who's got a problem with Al Roper? Has there been

(11:44):
a more innocent figure in media in the last fifty years?
It happened to off air. Everyone's fine. The guy was
arrested in theaters. This weekend, The Odyssey ninety six percent
on Rotten Tomatoes on TV. Peacock has extreme premiere of Obsession.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Hulu. Has they fight in Sports? It's soccer weekend.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Frans in England fight for third place in the World
Cup final match tomorrow between Spain and Argentina. Mariner's square
off against the Giants. In the first of three games
at home, Sounders lost to Portland Bad and the storm
fell to the sky and they are now six and twenty.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
You want to do the money? Then the dance party dead?
It's Jody and Bender.

Speaker 5 (12:20):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Good morning, Jody. Hi, it is a feel good Friday.
Another feel good Friday morning dance party happens in less
than an hour. Yeah, we'll do it at eight thirty five.
In the meantime, Huget Sounds showdown our champion sitting on
three wins. From what I understand from the Chamber of
Commerce and Silverdale, they already have a statue going up

(12:42):
of him in the town square. I mean it's made
of butter. So that's bad planning. Hi, Brad, Tony, you
mentioned that Willing Days is next weekend the Silverdale and
they're planning a float in the parade for me already, Brad, Brad, Brad.
So the question is, though, will there still be afloat
if you lose between now and then? That's a lot

(13:07):
I don't want to think about. That's what is he
even bringing that up? Brad? What's his problem?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Brad?

Speaker 2 (13:12):
You're gonna be taken up. You know you're going to
be taking on Chloe in Seattle.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Hi, Chloe, Hello, first Chloe to play the game. As
far as I can tell you, as far as we
can remember, we haven't had a Chloe before.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
I mean, it's been six years of player. Again, we're
not sure if there's been a Chloe. I think I
would remember. That's true. Try and represent the Chloe's well, Chloe, listen,
listen to Jody had perimenopause. I think I've remembered. I
think defensive about it. Don't make me tell you again.
I have the questions this morning. You guys are gonna
buzz in with your name. When you know the answer.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
First person to five correct answers wins.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Here we go. What former astronaut punched a conspiracy theorist
after being accused of faking the moon landing bread Brad
abuz Aldren. What musician is known as the Boss? Brad
Brad Bruce Fringsteen In Britain they called in Britain they

(14:19):
call it a rubber. What do they call it in America? Chloe? Chloe?
A condom? Brad, you can steal it? Er What do
you say? What'd you say?

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Brad?

Speaker 2 (14:35):
T like a car tire? Jody a raincoat. He's an eraser,
an eraser scoreboard, Brad has to Chloe, not yet on
the board. After being exposed to red kryptonite. What structure
did a very petty superman fix in Superman three. Oh God,

(15:00):
hmmm Leaning Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa. What popular
variety of orange is named after a city in Spain?
Bred Brad Valencia. Who's the mascot for fruit loops?

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Bread?

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Brad?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
You can't sam scoreboard? Brad has four? I have one,
Chloe not yet on the board. What does the bee
in base jumping stand for? Jody? Better be stupid? Beta, Beta,

(15:48):
better be stupid. I wasn't sure looking for building that
makes more sense? Who did the birthday boy David Hasselhoff
play on Baywatch?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Jody, Travis McGee looking for Mitch Buchanan, Right, I was
right there, right, I'm so there?

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Or Travis McGee. Whose jingle is but I'm Bump Bump bum,
Brad Grand for the win? What McDonald McDonald's came over?
It's Jody and Bendor A little behind the scenes, pulled

(16:35):
the curtain back. I'm not sure if anybody caught a
and I have to go back and listen to the
tapes when we replay Puget Simon showed out at nine
point fifteen. I'll be curious to see if you hear
a pause of uncertainty on my part. One of the
questions was who's jingle? And I wrote it out but

(16:59):
ump bump bump bump. Okay, I wrote it out, but
in my head I wanted bump, but dump bump, bump,
bump bump. So on my sheet of questions that I wrote,
I put whose jingle is? And in an out came
but I'm bump bump bump, and that's Mcdonald'salds. But what

(17:20):
I wanted was That's what I wanted, So on the
sheet and on the on my sheet, I wrote Farmers Insurance.
That was the original question. But Brad guest McDonald's, which
is correct, Brad, because I gave the wrong melody. That's funny.
So I'll be curious when I listened back to it

(17:43):
if there is a pause or if I just played
it on like the professional that I am. I didn't
catch anything that's funny.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I did.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I wrote it dump bump bump. I don't know why
I did that. I don't know why I did that.
Jody's News is that ninety five seven set the Shoe.
He's ninety second News Update now Yeah, part by Carter Supero. Yeah,

(18:14):
it's gonna beautiful this weekend.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
But yesterday they said red fire warning because of the lightning,
and they were right. Multiple wildfires sparked across the state
in Franklin, Okanagan, and Kittitas Counties. Fire posing the greatest
threat right now is the Kaiser Canyon fire in Okanagan,
prompting go now evacuations. A Washington man used his car
as a barrier to stop an out of control SUV

(18:35):
on I five after the driver suffered a medical emergency
with a child inside. The driver and the child were
rescued without serious injury because this guy took his Kia
and sort of like glided her into the barrier and
used his car to block hers like a damn freaking hero.
And now he's like, Hey, if anyone wants to donate
to fix my car up, i'd appreciate it. So I

(18:57):
posted on the Jodi Bendor facebook page, and we're going
to try and get his car fixed, because this dude
deserves a Kia. A King County judge's ordering Seattle to
crack down on lude behavior at Denny Blaine Park.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
You know the kind of lude behavior I'm talking about,
nudity doing stuff.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
The park can stay open, but the city has to
staff it to watch for illegal behavior and install privacy
buffers for neighboring homes. Bro, if you bought the four
million dollar mansion across from the naked park.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
It's still going to be the naked park.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
So if you're rich, look out another window, baby, because
I'm sure you got views everywhere.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Because if you're rich, look at another window.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
You got a nice looking view on the other side.
You don't got to stare at the naked park. You
did you not vet the neighborhood of the home. Yeah,
when you walked in, you saw the naked park.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
But I absolutely love the fact that you're leaning into
blaming the homeowner and not the ones doing the loot axe.
That's got it. That's crash, just clearing it up. Yep.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Because before I bought my house, I knocked on all
the doors that in the that surrounded my house and
I said hello, Hi. I was wondering if this is
a quiet neighborhood because I go to bed so early.
So my main thing is this quiet neighborhood. If you're
a rich person and you want to buy a four
million dollar mansion right on Lake Washington, wouldn't you knock
on some rich person's door and go hello, I'm a

(20:24):
rich person. I want to buy the big house next door.
Is there anything weird going on in the neighborhood I
should worry about?

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Yeah, just some check walking door to door wanting to know, Hey, there's.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
The naked people across the street to have sex all
day is not gonna bother you.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
If so, maybe you should find a bigger house somewhere else.
Look at a different window. Get out of my face,
Get out of here.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
How the visuals announced the source of the diarrhea outbreak
Man has been linked to shredded iceberg lettuce from Taco
Bell restaurants in five states. CDC and the FDA said
they figured it out that it's a supplier. Locations in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana,
and West Virginia are the ones that got the dirty lettuce.
We're still cool out here in Washington, but as a reminder,

(21:07):
and now is a great time to just launch into
always washing your fresh fruits and vegetables, vegetables, not just
avoiding them all together.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Like Bender with his bag of donuts. He's jingling his
bag of donuts. That's a great band name, jingling your
bag of donuts. Dirty lettuce, dirty lettuce. Sure a great
band name. Yeah, now to the stage.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Mark Hamil's Lightsaber from Empire Strikes Back sold for three
point seventy five million dollars at an auction. Some rich
nerds somewhere is so happy in theaters this weekend. It's
The Odyssey ninety six percent on Rotten Tomatoes. All the
Star is supposed to be great and sports tomorrow on
Telemundo Fox and Peacock. France and England fight for third
place in the World Cup, and then the final match

(21:50):
is Sunday between Spain and Argentina. Argentina. It's gonna be awesome.
Mariners square off against the Giants.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Wait, way, way back up again. You said France and
England are playing, and then you said France and Argentina.
The final match is Sunday, right, who's Spain and Argentina
Between Spain and Argentina. Yeah France. Wait it's France and
England tomorrow. Yeah. See I lost track after America gotown.
Now give crap no more. In the meantime, we have

(22:21):
an update from Jody, who is a member of the
I've already done this once club. You had a doctor's
appointment yesterday. Yeah, it's funny.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
You should say that like that because because I had
colon cancer and now I've been diagnosed with breast cancer,
that makes me a high risker.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
I did some genetics testing.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
I'm pro for a couple of things that show that
maybe there was a reason behind all of this scientifically,
and so they need to keep an eye on me
to make sure that none of this happens again.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Sure.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
So I had my first appointment yesterday, and contrary to
what you might think, I was very excited about this appointment.
I wasn't dreading it because I like the idea of
keeping an eye on me for the last ten years.
I like the idea of, you know, having to do
extra scanning. I'm not afraid to have information which is
actually counter to a lot of people that's not me. No,

(23:14):
why on earth would you not want every piece of
information I should get into. We don't have enough time
in the program, but I could tell you some things
that would horrify you.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
I had to show up to a new office yesterday
down in South Lake Union. I couldn't find the place.
I parked illegally. I ran in and it was like
a Wes Anderson, you parked illegally. I parked in the
employee only parking lot, and I was like.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Well, because who's gonna say I am cancer? Who's gonna
say forgive me? I'm making bad choices? Are you making
bad choices? Or are you daring that? Darren there is Yeah,
give me a ticket? God, what are you gonna do?
So I go in.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
I meet my person, who's gonna be my person for
the next however long. And I'm thinking to myself, because
you know me, and you guys listening to this show,
you know me, I have to have somebody with a
sense of humor. Sure I can't get some you know, Dullered,
have you asked for your jacket yet? My two timers jacket?
Because on SNL they make a big deal out of

(24:12):
you get five Yeah. Yeah, Well for cancer for two
you should get a jacket. You should get something. You
should get something. So I meet my person and she's
awesome and where energies are matched, and I'm cursing up
a storm and I'm crying and it's good we're having
this meeting, and and she goes, I know the surgery
is coming up pretty fast, but you want to kick

(24:36):
your ovaries out too.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
And I'm like, hell, yeah, girl, you know I want
to kick my ovaries out. Let's garage sale.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Everything in here I'm not using anymore and throw it
in the freaking duamish And if you think I'm kidding,
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
It's already loaded with hasmad stuff in the duom. Just
toss it in there. So I said, I was like, in.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Old seriousness, I was like, can we do those two
surgeries together? And she was like, yeah, you can, and
I was like, well, yeah, do it. So unfortunately we're
really close. I would have to meet up with the
doctor before we agree because it's a different doctor or
a different.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Part of my body. Okay, but but if you're gonna
be under might as well. Just why why doesn't the
first guy do his thing? It's a girl. Why doesn't
the first girl do her thing?

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Huh?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
And then the other one comes up and moves her
out of the way and says, Okay, I'm gonna take
care of the rest.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
That's literally what was being suggested to me yesterday. And
I was like, yeah, let's do it. Frickin' get it
all out of me, because at this point, you're talking
about stuff that's taken up space that could do me harm.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
That is not better. I already have my kid. I'm done.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
What is this even doing in here? I'm gonna be
pushed into scientific menopause, so hold it.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah, you're gonna make the jump from perimenopause to scientific menopause.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Yeah, because my breast cancer is I don't want to
get too scientific, So stop me if I'm getting crazy.
There's a million different kinds of breast cancer. Some is
hormone based and some is not. Mine is hormone based.
So to make sure after they lop my chest off,
I could still get breast cancer. So to make sure

(26:20):
that doesn't happen, you have to literally shut down all
the estrogen in my body. And I am such a woman,
as you know, and I still have lots of estrogen
careening through me as you can tell. I'm sure you
can sense it. You're so close to me. Anytime I'm
even being in perimenopause, I still have estrogen, you know,

(26:43):
loads of it, the good kind.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
I don't know what's happened with me right now.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
I'm so excited to be able to talk about the air.
So like, give me ten minutes anyway.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Thank god for video. The pose. The only thing missing
is there is a pole.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
I know right anyway, it's all gonna be shut down
after the surgery because I'm gonna be on drugs that
shut it down, because if you don't shut it all down,
then you invite more breast cancer. So anyway, I don't
think that I'm gonna have time to meet this doctor
in advance.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
Of the You're gonna have to book a second Yeah,
you're gonna book it. I'm gonnao it.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
You're gonna book a second appointment. You don't even know
what I booked for the rest of the year. And
he got my colone asked me coming up in October.
I got my stomach and my eyes scan coming up
in November, and right after radiothon these are.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Gone. I was like, what else can I take out?
Anything else? It's weight loss, isn't it. Get it out
of me. I don't need.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Anything except my heart and my brain. Let's go take
it all out. I was like, can you get my
pancreas out? She's like, you need that?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
I was like, okay.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Kjab Seattle an iHeartRadio station guaranteed Human Feel Good Friday.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
It's ninety five seven of the jet. It is Jody
and vendor. Let's do time fly, take a look back
at today. July seventeenth, he made the little Brude Jony was.
July seventeenth, nineteen forty one, New York Yankees Jodamasio's incredible

(28:40):
fifty six game hitting streak comes to an end. It
still stands eighty five years later. I do that math right, Yeah,
as the longest hitting streak in Major League Baseball history.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Realistic question, how fast do you think those guys were
throwing back then? I think they were lobbing men like
sixty five miles an hour. You think they were throwing hard.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I would think they were throwing hard. But it's all relative.
I don't think you had pictures throwing one hundred miles
an hour. Yeah, but still, yeah, it was sure relative
to the time. It was relative to the time. And
you have talent against talent on the same level. Yeah,
let met you trying to I'm just acting four o'clock
rock seven o'clock. I diminished one of the greatest fall

(29:26):
records ever never, I mean whatever, he was a plumber
throwing at the lobbying in there like sounds fine. July seventeenth,
nineteen fifty five, After years of prep and transforming a
one hundred and sixty acre Orange grove into a seventeen
million dollar amusement park. Walt Disney dedicates it opens his

(29:49):
brand new Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The park offers five
differently themed lands total of eighteen attractions. In twenty twenty six,
Disneyland welcomes about nineteen million people a year. July seventeenth,
nineteen seventy nine, Major League Baseball's All Star Game comes

(30:11):
to Seattle and the Kingdome Fun Fact Philadelphia Phillies catcher
Bob Boone, whose son Bret Boone would be in the
All Star Game twenty two years later, playing for the Mariners.
July seventeenth, nineteen eighty four, Congress passes the National Minimum

(30:34):
Drinking Age Act, which requires states to raise their ages
for purchase and public possession to twenty one years old. Yes,
why I need no One this. July seventeenth, twenty sixteen,
Kim Kardashian post videos that Kanye secretly recorded of his

(30:54):
phone conversations with Taylor Swift. Declaimed that she was okay
with Kanye ripping her in his songs, but it was
an edited video. We would later hear the full twenty
five minute conversation that Kanye talked to her about a
tongue in cheek stuff and everything was going to be done,
but she didn't know about the line that he had added.

(31:16):
When he added the line, I made that be famous. Yeah,
of course she didn't like that. Joe July seventeenth, twenty
twenty two, yar Seattle Mariners head into the All Star
Break by winning their fourteenth in a row, getting themselves
nine games above five hundred. They'd come back from the

(31:37):
break and drop their first game since July first. They would, however,
go on to make the playoffs for the first time
in twenty one years. Her Day Green Camilla is seventy
nine years old, Lucy Arnez is seventy five. Ladies and
gentlemen turning seventy four years old.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
It be.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Game hassle harm.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
Here ball, I hear your voice on the line has bust.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Okay, maybe I didn't treat you, Hi God, I just good.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Is under Marsaba.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Frecking on the color Wars.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
I can't take it.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Start the fig.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Oh babes.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
But turned seventy four.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
I just signed sending wee.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Alex Winter is sixty one and carry Hart is fifty one,
Jilly Lord, it is thirty four.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
Happy sweet sixteen birthday to our wonderful daughter, Sarah.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
We love you more than words could ever say, Mom
and Dad. And also huzzah, Happy.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Anniversary to the one person I get to annoy for
the rest of my life.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
To heatherety five seven, the jet hits Tody and bender,
Hi Hee is this? Bender? It is Hi? Hi, this
is gone.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
And I just want to say to Jody, I just
got diagnosed with the same type of breast cancer.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Oh humor I did last.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Week, and I just spent hearing her talk and I
love you guys so much, and I'm the same type
of person she is.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
It's like, I love humor, and we're going to get
through this because there's no other way to do it.
Are you doing done? You're doing Okay?

Speaker 1 (33:55):
I am.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
I just I had my MRI, my bilateral Mriday and
it's not in my right breast. It's but it's the estrogen.
I didn't realize because I'm sixty five. Yeah, and I'm like,
I share that much estrogen. So yeah, so I'm going
through it too. You're going through a lot more. But
I just wanted to call and thank you guys for

(34:19):
all your humor because.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
That's what's going to get us through. And we're strong women.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Yeah we are, and there's there's nothing else we can
do except get through it, right, So positive attitude.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Your breast, that's right. Absolutely, So I just want to
I thank you guys.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
I listen to you every day, but I just really
wanted to reach out after I heard your story.

all your animals and I will. Okay, RT don take
care of me. Maybe I'll come by. I'll come with you,
go visit. That's right, when we finally get up there. Okay,
that's right, that's right. You take good care you two, don't.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
I will containing the globe to find the noos you
didn't know you needed to know? Man, you know that
Daily Bender Gazette. Now here's Bender brought to you my
Olympic hot time.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Are you better life?

Speaker 4 (35:26):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (35:29):
You know there are people in this world that are
given second, third, fourth chances blow it every time. Yeah,
they do. A man in Texas, Florida, isn't it. Palm Coast, Florida.
A man's attempt to cheat a court ordered drug test

(35:54):
backfires spectacularly. This guy for his urine screening driving on
a suspended license okay, already a probation violation. He was
immediately arrested. Deputies then discovered a homemade device strapped to

(36:17):
his junk. Oh, a fake bladder filled with synthetic urine
attached to a heating pad and a prosthetic thing.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Thing.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
That's a pretty good plan. That's a pretty good plan.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
I'm sorry he had a whole unit and to think
to warm it like that's pretty thoughtful.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
During transport, cops moved his handcuffs to the front to
ease a shoulder complaint. He used that opportunity to toss
the device that he was apparently wearing onto the patrol
car floor. The police officer called the guy a pee

(37:05):
brain dirt bag who flushed away a second chance. This
guy now faces probation violation, evidence tampering fraud charges and
is now being held without bond.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Think about this, and maybe I'm in the wrong business.
Maybe I should be in the motivational speaking business.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
But because that's what's always been said, about you behind
your back, behind your back people always like my god bender.
When you work with Jody every day, you must feel
motivated because of the random speeches she gives.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Right, I mean, think about how far this guy could
go in life if he would take that ingenuity and
just point it towards something decent instead of fake warm wieners,
you know what I mean. Like, he didn't just think
I'll have a ziploc bag full of urine that I
paid some kid for. No, he had a heater, he

(37:55):
had a fake bladder, he had a whole system.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
What is since urine? I'm hearing about it for the
first time.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Back in my day, if we wanted to pass a
drug test and we'd been doing drugs, you had to
pay somebody.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
For a can of their urine. I guess they don't
do that anymore. Synthetic urine is a lab created liquid
that closely replicates human urine an appearance composition in physical property,
but you gotta warm it up. It typically contains uric acid. Yeah,
cre not creatine create cretinine. Mm hmm. Okay, you're saying,

(38:34):
you know that's what makes it taith good. Go on, uh,
salt and minerals. Yeah, creatinin not not creatin? Yeah? God,
what do you say? Like that makes me feel like
you don't know what.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
You're talking about. I know you want to say creatine
so bad because you have some under the desk. I
do it in Yeah, that's in your urine. Thanks, Yeah,
I did it right now.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
It comes in pre mixed liquid form or as a
powder to be mixed with water before use. Yeah. So
this guy had a fake bladder filled with synthetic urine
to pass a drug test. Now, if I can google
what is synthetic urine? You're telling me that a drug

(39:27):
test can't determine human urine to synthetic urine. It can't
tell the difference.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
I'm sure. I'm sure it can. Now, like this must
be a new thing and they just have to tweak
the system a little bit they can now what Well,
you said that he got caught, right. Did he got
caught Did he get caught because his wiener fell off?
Or did he get caught with the fake urine? He
got caught with it just because he got caught with
thee and everything. Oh so they caught him because of

(39:56):
his wien, right, not because they ran it and they said, hey,
this is what is this?

Speaker 2 (40:00):
Well, I have to google.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
You know, do people get caught trying to pass off
synthetic urine for real urine? But then I'll get flagged
by the company again for using my laptop.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
For personal reasons. You get in trouble.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
I hope to god they never look at what I
google for the show. I google random stuff, right, but
right now, you're not gotta get in trouble. No, I'm
not breast cancer.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
I am breast cancer. Come on, guys, back off. Can
you give me a break. I'm not in my right mind.
I'm gonna google synthetic urine. Jody was at the doctor
yesterday and parked illegally, and she's hoping that somebody's gonna
say something to her because that was gonna be her out.
That's right, I know, this is the employee parking. It's

(40:45):
just that I have all this breast cancer. I'm sorry.
Is it cool? Can it be cool? Yes, ma'am, that's right,
that's what I thought.

Speaker 5 (40:54):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
That's right. Program is done. We'll be back on Monday.
More money every single hour. I don't even know what
we're doing next week.

Speaker 5 (41:02):
Me neither.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
I mean, I know that Brad and Silverdale will be
going for win number five. Yeah, but we don't know
what the prizes are. We don't know what the song
of the day is gonna be. He's in charge of
looking at this stuff. You ah, my breath cancer, My
mind is elsewhere. If you missed any part of the show,
