Supposed to cool down for the next week or so,
but then you know it's gonna get hot again. Sure, okay,
there's a company in Japan that is offering up a
human size cooling unit designed to combat summer temperatures. Go on.
It looks like a giant refrigerator, and you climb in.
It's for one person, and you shut the door and

(03:04):
you shut the door. That's not terrifying it.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Is it a see through door? Are you looking at
a photo of it?

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Uh? No, there's a video of it up on our
Facebook page. Add Jody and Bender says it the way
they put its the size of a standard vending machine.
One person goes in, maintains an internal temperature of fifty
nine degrees. Cool air is directed at the head, neck, shoulders,
and back. The box targets outdoor workplaces like construction sites,

(03:32):
so this thing could be sitting right next door porta potty,
so it's like a cooling. The box retails for nine
thou three hundred and twenty six dollars.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I mean, that's pretty smart. It's called the dough Hyman Box.
Seven foot tall, single person, stainless steel booth with a chair.
That sounds pretty great. Have you ever gone in a
cryotherapy chamber? No, this is what that sounds like to me.
I've done cryotherapy before. The idea being that you shock

(04:00):
your system with extreme cold.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Like a cold plunge.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yes, but this is it's sort of just like an
icy feeling booth. And you put on ear muffs and
you put on gloves to protect your extremities. And then
you stand in there and you listen to music and
you just sort of like, oh and wait for three minutes.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
I liked it a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
If there was a place closer to me, I'd go
a lot because when you come out for the rest
of the day, you feel really vivacious and refreshed, and
I'd imagine that's what this Doe Hyman box feels like. You.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
It's what, what's the matter?

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Nothing?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Why are you shaking your head and waving me off?

Speaker 2 (04:40):

been struggling. He later told fans that he would. He said,
don't throw out your ticket stubs, like anybody has physical
ticket anymore.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Like what stubs are we talking about?

Speaker 2 (08:16):

Speaker 2 (15:18):
No, it's powered by Carter subru Your thousand dollars work

Speaker 4 (15:26):
That's my professional right.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Thank you appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
The Bite of Seattle returns to Seattle Center this weekend
food artists visitors. This weekend's also the day Trip Festival
at Gasworks Park, Redmond, Derby Day Seattle Art Fair, Torchlight
preat A Saturday along the New Waterfront. So get out
and do something fun if you can. Amazon laying off
some of the employees working in the Artificial General Intelligence.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Unit, who could have seen that one coming? The AGI.
What's what's the difference between AGI and AI? Well, artificial unit,
the artificial what is it.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Called the Artificial General Intelligence UNITOU? Yeah, I mean somebody
has to create the sandboxes that the artificial intelligence units
play in, right, there needs to be people, although I
guess maybe not anymore. Wildfire that started South ad Vantage
late Wednesday night has grown to more than six hundred acres,

(16:20):
just drawing seven homes. They're working to contain it. Please
heads up if you're going to the Gorge of this
weekend for the Chris Stapleton show. This will affect traffic
in the area. Multiple people have been rescued after Ken
Moore air seaplane carrying eleven made an emergency landing in
the San Juan Islands yesterday. All eleven people aboard the
seaplane have been accounted for, all flights have been canceled.
Today they are still investigating what caused this to happen.

(16:43):
Dozens of America's trading partners, from Europe to China to
India now face new tariffs of ten to ten percent
to twelve and a half percent on goods ship to
the US. The new duties will apply to nearly all
US imports. Beyonce's father and former Destiny's Child former manager
Matthew Knowles that previously unheard remixes are expected to be

(17:03):
released within the next thirty days. The group parted ways
in two thousand and six. I'm sure Beyonce's thrilled about this.
Tom Holland made Hot One's history as the first person
to ever throw.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Up on camera. You can watch that video if you
dare on the Jodi and Bendor Facebook.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
The entire interview with the three of them. It's fantastic, Yeah,
very good stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
A George Michael concert film is expected to hit theaters
by the end of the year. This Christmas will mark
the tenth anniversary of his passing. Speaking of movies in
theaters this weekend. MotorCity with Alan Richton, Her Private Hell
with Sophie Thatcher. That is Sophie Thatcher from Yellowjackets, which
is one of my favorite shows. She's an actress in
a futuristic society where women are being targeted by a

(17:44):
serial killer called the leather Man as a mysterious mist
engulfs the city. I'm not sure if I would advise
people to go out and see this one is It
only has a forty five percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
But I do love Sophie Thatcher.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
The Motor City is a I don't want to say,
a silent movie, but there's no dialogue, very very little dialogue.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Alan Richson from Reacher plays a guy who escapes from
prison to get revenge on the drug lord who framed
him for a crime he didn't commit, just to steal
his girlfriend, played by Shaleene Woodley. It's set in the seventies.
The cast barely speaks less than a dozen lines of dialogue.
Most of the movie is carried by action instead.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
And apparely the soundtrack is awesome.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
That'd be really interesting.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
I think I would like that on TV today HBO,
Max has Mortal Kombat too. Apple TV has The Dink
Peacock has Pressure with Andrew Scott. Hulu has Nirvana, the Band,
the Show, the Movie, which is a mockumentary in sports,
Mariners at the Rangers, Sounders Philly, Tomorrow, Rain San Diego, Sunday,
a WNBA off for the All Star Break which will
be played on Saturday in Chicago. Dominique Malonga will represent

(18:45):
the Storm.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
We have your one thousand dollars work day paid ay
keyword coming up. And then Jody Yesterday, a conversation that
took place brought by mortality into question. It's Jody and Vendor.
Let's see. We have the second of two feel good
Friday morning dance parties happening at eight thirty five. Time
Flies on a Friday gets bumped from eight forty five

(19:08):
to nine because of said dance party. Well replay pewted
sound show down at nine point fifteen. Then we got
your Daily Bender Gazette. Then we got damn having heard
that in a while to wrap the show before I
run across town to go do Studio thirteen.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Lives, and I'm going to go home and walk my dogs.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Jody Bender Yesterday, my mortality was brought into question, and
it was for the first time in my life. I
started to do the numbers. Okay, my life insurance policy

(19:49):
was due to expire like tail end of last year,
and that's where the sleep apne thing started popping up. Yeah,
because in order for me to re I knew my
life insurance policy or get a new life insurance policy. Well,
I got a physical done and then they were like, well,
you have a history of sleep apne according to your

(20:10):
records and whatever. Had the sleep apneing thing taken care of?
And Jody ironically was here in studio when I had
my doctor visit virtually the other day and my doctor was.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Like, you're doing great, because you're doing great.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
You're doing great. Yes, yesterday I get word that my
insurance policy. They found a great insurance policy for me,
and everything's taken care of, and here's how much it's
going to cost. As you get older, the life insurance
premiums go.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Up, of course, because how they make their.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Money, because now you're a higher risk because you're older
than you were when you got your last twenty year
policy when you were thirty five. Okay, so I get
the email and it lists you want a ten of
fifteen or a twenty year life insurance policy. And my

(21:07):
immediate thought was, well, I want to make sure that
my wife and daughter are taken care of, so I'll
do the twenty yeah. And it was like three hundred
and something dollars a month, yeah, for twenty years, which
is way more than you were paying before. Correct, So

(21:28):
I do the numbers, all right, Okay, So I do
the numbers if I.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
Survive, If when you survive.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
When I said, because I'm gonna live forever, When I
survive the next twenty years and I eclipse my seventy
sixth birthday, I will have spent nearly seventy five thousand
dollars for nothing, for nothing. Then, for the first time

(21:58):
in my life, I think to myself, Okay, so if
I depart the earth before my seventy six birthday, my
wife and daughter will get the policy.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
And if you don't, and if I.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Don't, I've wasted seventy five thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
And then try and re up that policy when you're
seventy six.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
And and and there was there's one final note of
the email that read, let me know what policy you
want ten fifteen and twenty because this will probably be
the last insurance policy you're gonna get. God, that's painful.

(22:51):
This is gonna be your last life insurance policy. So
which one do you want? And I'm like, oh, because
if I get the ten, I do this again when
I'm sixty six, it's gonna be like through the freaking roof,
I know.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I mean, look, we're on the back nine now. Once
you're over fifty.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
I mean, there's a reason they used to say over
the hill, because you climbed up the hill, and now
you're climbing.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
The dow was over forty ye forty was over the hill, right.
I mean that's not to say that we're not vivacious,
of course. I mean, look at me totally.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
I mean I just got an email yesterday saying next Wednesday,
I definitely have to bring my will with me when
I go.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
They were like, don't forget your don't forget to take
all your jewelry off, bring your ID card and your will.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Dude, just in case. So so here I am, huh,
on the back nine. I'm on the back nine. I've
been told this is gonna be the last insured, last
life insurance policy you're probably gonna get. Do you want
the twenty, it's three hundred something dollars a month, and
if you do the math, that's seventy five thousand dollars

(23:58):
if I live beyond seven, twenty six years old.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
I mean, I don't see why they didn't offer you
at thirty. Where's the thirty? Thank you?

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Where's the thirty? Why are we gambling again into you here?

Speaker 4 (24:08):
Now? I'm not gonna lie. I would sit there and go,
I'm gonna live beyond eighty six? Yes, obviously, where's the forty?
Hold on a second, where's the damn forty years? Hold
on a second? Yeah, thirty years is only going to
get me to eighty six, like eighty eight. I'm gonna
be eighty six years old in thirty years.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Yeah you are?

Speaker 4 (24:29):
What the hell?

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Yeah? Be out there feeding those goats, doing your instagram.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
My seven year coverboard, my seventy year old hot wife. Yeah,
oh she's gonna be seventy. Wow. I'll be the eighty
six year old dude with the seventy year old wife.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
You guys are gonna be popular wondering why I'm still around.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
Yeah, texts coming into five, two, three or nine. Just
invest the three hundred plus dollars a month. Why give
it to the insurance company. Okay, but here's the gamble.
If I give it to the insurance company for the
next twenty years, that's seventy five thousand dollars. If I
depart the world before my twenty year policy is up,

(25:18):
it's a whole hell of a lot more than more
than that text. If you can afford the monthly paper
for life insurance instead dump the monthly mount into an
IRA or a wroth welcome to financial corner, it's.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Still more than that. It's still so much more than that.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
I just read Jody the email that I got from
my Life insurance people, and it's just this will likely
be your gress, will likely be the last time on
this mortal coil, This will be your last insurance policy.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
What because you'll be too old or you'll be gone.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Really, you'll be too old, or you'll be too to
insure or nothing to worry about anymore.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Signed your preferred insurance company.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Our second of to feel good Friday Morning Dance News.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
You didn't know you needed to know enough that Daily
Bender Gazette.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Now here's to you.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
My Olympic Hot better you, better life, Yes Bender, It's
kind of nasty.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
Okay, a chef in New York Soul, South Korea.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Okay, do you.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Know what the Michelin stars are? Yeah, it's the more.
I don't know what the top is? Is it? Is
it like a five star restaurant? Four star restaurant?

Speaker 3 (26:51):
You can get multiple stars.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
Yeah, this place has two Michelin stars.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
That means they're a very big deal.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
All right. The guys it could face prison over a
dessert garnish. Prosecutors have asked a court to sentenced to
sentence the owner to one year in jail and find
the restaurants operating company more than thirteen thousand dollars for

(27:18):
using this as a dessert garnish.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Don't even tell me how hazardous is it?

Speaker 4 (27:25):
M I don't think it's hazardous anymore?

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Is it personal?

Speaker 1 (27:31):
No?

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Like a part of a human? What is it?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
It is in violation of South Korea's Food Sanitation Act.
The guy was sprinkling dry ants as a dessert garnish.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
So we sell crickets at T Mobile Park, where are we? America?

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Where are they?

Speaker 3 (27:56):
They definitely eat insects and Korea?

Speaker 4 (27:58):
Okay, well, apparently they draw the line at dry ants.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Were these like fire ants or some like special like
protected ants.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Ants are not among the ten insect species permitted for
human consumption in the country.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Huh, I'm really surprised. Oh my god, I was thinking
so many worse things everyone else.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
I'm sure I appreciate the fact that if this thing
goes to trial and you're on the jury, could have
been anything.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
So really, though, people eat insects all over the world.
They're a protein source that's like kind of infinite compared
to what we're working with now, and in fact, there's
a push to eat more insects, So what's the problem.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
The only reason that authorities discovered the practice was through
photos that previous diners were posting in online reviews.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Did not say ants on the menu. Was he saying
it was like raisins or currents or something that wasn't ants,
Because if it said ants are on the gelato, what's
the big deal?

Speaker 4 (29:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
This story is so confusing. Man, it's full of vans.
It's all freaking deal. That's literally all it says.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Man, I hope he doesn't have to go to jail
for that. By the way, you know who got two Michelin.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Stars, who got two Michelin stars.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Oh, I probably shouldn't say. I don't want to spoil it.
There's a TV show about a restaurant and in its
final season something happens.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
A TV show about a restaurant, one.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Of my favorite TV shows that I encouraged you to
watch and you refuse.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Is it The Bear? The restaurant in the Bear gets
two stars.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
I don't want to spoil anything for me.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Okay, so I was right.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Fifth season's awesome.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Thought you were talking about a real restaurant.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
No, I rarely talk about real things if it's.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
Not reality TV. And or the Bear program is done. Monday,
we are back with a Hall of Fame game for
bradon Silverdale. Dude. Dude mowed down nine people and will
now be facing we don't know who.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Yet, right, we have some ideas we're gonna.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Pick his because the tenth game he has to face
a current Puget sound showed on Hall of Famers, all
of which we just played with because of the tournament champions.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Yes, they're gonna bring one back. It'll be very telling.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
I mean, Brad knows a lot about a lot of things,
but he hasn't faced a Hall of Famer yet.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
So we'll see how it goes.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
We will we will find out. Also tickets to Chicago
Museum of Illusions where I'm gonna be tomorrow. I will
be at Museum of Illusions, just around the corner from
Pipe Place, and I'm gonna be there from ten until
noon tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Oh, in a professional capacity, not hanging out with Mackenzie
or anything.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
I will be there in a professional capacity.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Got a table, got a canopy, Everyone can find you.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
We literally just loaded my wife's car with it because
the station's van is dead.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
What about the other station?

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Van?

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Dead? Two?

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Ay, So we're very excited. Is that it?

Speaker 3 (30:58):
That's all? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (30:59):
All right, I'm gonna be on TV Studio thirteen live
at eleven o'clock hosting solo. So eleven o'clock, go watch
Fox thirteen.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
And I am not going to be on TV today
and I am not going to be doing any appearances tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Go bears. Wrap the show with you. I'd like to
hear Marky Mark in the Funky Bunch called Good Vibrations,
Thank you, have a good day, good yet, Shody
