against Belgium today despite being sent off in the previous
match because he stepped on some dude's leg and got
a red card and he was out out. The President
spoke with FIFA's president Infantino this week asking him to
review the call. The move triggered praise from Trump outrage
(01:11):
from Belgium's team. It appears to be the first time
since nineteen sixty two during that a red card during
a World Cup did not result in a spe card.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
In soccer, you're out for that game and you're automatically
suspended for the next one suspension.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I don't know if those are the rules in like
regular soccer, but in World Cup, yes, that's definitely correct.
In the meantime, we'll see if they play him today,
which is a conversation that we're having in here because
they don't have to play him even though he's available.
Residents of Washington, d C. Briefly experienced the worst air
quality of any major city in the world yesterday, according
(01:48):
to a company that ranks global air pollution. In the
aftermath of the massive July Firth fourth fireworks show, city
officials issued a Code red air quality alerts. Capital Kiev
came under a deadly Russian attack this morning, killed fifteen
people wounded dozens more. The strikes come before a NATO
summit in Turkey. Con Air is recalling almost two million
(02:10):
wire grill brushes over concerns that the metal bristles could detach. Hey,
you don't want to eat that. Make sure you're not
using one of those. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey got
married at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. We have
a lot of details. We're going to get into it
a little bit later. Did want to mention that they
donated twenty six million dollars to various charities, including nine
in New York beneficiaries, food pantries, children's hospitals, animal Cruelty prevention,
(02:35):
and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. The Unsolved Case of the
Murder of John Beney Ramsey is going to be the
subject of an upcoming production by Netflix. I know it's
been a long time since he thought about her parents,
but do you remember what they look like?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Do you remember their behavior? Like the weird nuances of
their behavior. Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen will star. Oh
this is wait, Well, I thought it was a documentary. No,
it's a movie. Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen the last
two people that I personally would cast excited to watch that.
(03:09):
Minions and Monsters had a franchise, low sixty one point
four million dollar opening, but enough to win the five
day weekend in Sports, Mariners took two of three from
the Blue Jays and are back in first place. They
have the Marlins tomorrow Storm at the Sparks. The Storm
losing back to back games to drop to five and seventeen.

All this week your Jodian Vendors Song of the Day.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
From fifteen back from the extended Fourth of July holiday,
My plans completely fell apart, so we just stayed home
and we did the Everett Parade on Saturday morning. Saturday
was for the July Yeah Saturday, and it was what
do you like by the way, that won't happen again
until twenty thirty seven, it's to now. And then we
(03:57):
hung out at one of Rachel's cousin's house and we
blew up stuff in the in the.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Round about cul de Sac.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Then Mackenzie hold a sparkler. She did, did the whole thing,
the whole thing nice. And you were in Pullman all weekend.
I was in Pullman I usually go to Whistler to
get away from all of the fireworks in my neighborhood.
My Whistler trip is my annual thing. But this weekend
we had to go to Pullman for a baseball tournament.
I was not excited. We talked about on the air
and I was like, all right, Coogs, you love it
so much, what do we do in Pullman? And a
(04:27):
lot of people gave great suggestions.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
A lot of people said, drank. It wasn't It wasn't
a lot of great suggestions. It was there's not a
lot to do. Well, that's why people get drunk.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, a lot of people pointed out the different bars
that we could all go to and all that, and yeah,
it was a little it was a little depopulated because
obviously school is not in session, so we got to
experience Pullman. It felt like we were the only ones there.
And here is my opinion of Pullman.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Oh here we go.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I love it. It is beautiful. I mean, you know, you
drive out there, it takes a little while. It's the
rolling fields of the loose beautiful, beautiful, and then all
of a sudden, boom, you're in Pullman. It's not huge.
The campus itself beautiful. We saw the bears. They've got
these bears that you can this close, as close as
you and I are, me and a grizzly bear. There
(05:14):
were bars, of course. Oh yeah, but it's like a
research facility and they're not doing anything bad with the bears.
They save the bears, but you're right up close to them.
That was awesome. I found the ice cream place everybody
was talking about it, got the cougar cheese, so I'm
all stocked up. And we stayed in this great airbnb,
so I wasn't right on campus, brand new, little cul
(05:34):
de sac, and I made friends with one of the
neighbors because his dogs were playing with my dogs. And
I said, so, usually I'm not home during the Fourth
of July because I hate fireworks. I hate neighborhood fireworks,
like when I'm trying to sleep. I said, what's it
like around here? He goes, Oh, you're not gonna have
any problems around here because there's a burn band because
it's so hot. So you know, most people just watched
(05:55):
the fireworks at the park and around here everything will
be fine. And I was like, oh, thank god, that's
not what happened.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
That is no what happened.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
That is, know what happened later that night? Pow like
all night. It wasn't as bad as Bestiattle, because nothing's
as bad as best Settle because Bestile starts on the
first and ends on the seventh. So for people who were.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Like it's one day, you guys are right on top
of one though.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I'm like, no, it's not even one day. Yes, we're
right on top of each other. So like, how dare
you compromise my sleep schedule so you can blow stuff up?
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Chucky?
Speaker 2 (06:35):
It's not like I wake up at four in the
morning and start playing music real loud because I don't
care about.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
What anybody else. What's up? Chucky?
Speaker 2 (06:41):
I hate everyone?
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Hey, hey, Chucky, I get off.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I really liked Pullman. I'm no longer going to make
fun of it.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Why were you making fun of him the first place?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Oh, you know, you sometimes join forces with the UH
with the Huskies here, they're like Koog's are.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Dumb, and like, yeah, but it are dumb. But I
loved it.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Cup host today, when Seattle Stadium hotes a Round of
sixteen match between the US and Belgium, lots of activities,
tens of thousands of areas to hang out and gather. Uh,
if you want to watch the Drone show at Seattle Center,
we'll have that going on later today, and of course
go USA. In more FIFA news, the Belgian Soccer Federation
(07:24):
is demanding an explanation from FIFA about the decision to
let US forward Fularen Balligan play at the World Cup
today despite getting a red card in his previous game,
a red card that should have meant a suspension for today.
Our president called FIFA's president, they talked it over, and
now he's available to play. I guess this is something
(07:44):
that has never happened before. What makes a little extra
messy is if you watched the game, which I did.
I don't know if you did, but I did. That
red card was uncalled for. He shouldn't have gotten it,
so yeah, it was the trash call. Yeah, he's one
of our best players. Anytime this has happened in the past,
what sixty two years nobody's ever reversed a.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Red card sixty two years ago.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
So if the US does play him, which they made,
which they also may not, he's only available to play tonight.
The coach of the team might go, you know what,
I don't want this. I don't want this.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
If they don't play, If they don't play him and
they lose, yeah, the dude's out of a gig.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
But if they do play him and they win, then
everybody's gonna go. Well, the US cheated, Okay, I mean,
I guess we'll see what happens. Microsoft is laying off
six hundred Washington based employees part of company wide cuts.
They said this morning they'll cut rolls across Xbox as
well as sales, resulting in almost forty eight hundred layoffs.
(08:43):
Fast moving wildfire that erupted near Shelan during the fourth
of July has destroyed more than one hundred structures and
scorched twenty thousand acres. Evacuations are underway residents assessing the damage.
Authorities issued hundreds of Level three go now as flames
spread across the hills near Shlam. Massive funeral procession for
Iran's slain Supreme leader Ayatola Alikamani got underway today in
(09:07):
Tran as large crowds of mourners gathered flesh eating screwworm
outbreak escalating in West Texas as confirmed cases reached thirty one. Taylor,
Swift and Travis Kelsey got married this weekend. We're gonna
tell you so many exciting details that you may not
have heard in just about ten minutes. Joey Chestnut now
an eighteen times Nathan hot Dog eating contest champion, scarfing
(09:30):
down sixty six hot dogs in ten minutes in ninety
degree heat in Cody Island. His insides must be absolutely.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
The disgusting part of it is that they dip the
hot dogs in the water.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Get those buns down. You can't waste time chewing it
like a regular person. Seventy years after Walt Disney opened Disneyland,
the park welcomed its billions guests this week Andres Roblaze,
an eight year old boy from Arizona who was visiting
to celebrate his birthday. How perfect is that? And Sports
Mariners took two of three from the Blue Jays, her
back in first place. They have the Marlins Tomorrow Storm
(10:02):
at the Sparks Storm. They are five and seventeen. Brazilian
soccer star neymar retired after his team lost to Norway
on Sunday, and Serena Williams had to pull out of
doubles actions that will wwibbled its due to a neat injury.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
It's an odd choice.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
The lyric was what though, wasn't it so it's gonna
be forever.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Or it's gonna go out in flames?
Speaker 2 (10:24):
She didn't, but she only wrote this so it's gonna be.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Forever to be embroidered on your wedding stuff because the
whole song is about, you know, romances that flame out.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Maybe it means something extra special to her.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
True, it could mean something extra special to her. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Guests at the wedding included Ed Sheer and Paul McCartney,
Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Emma Stone, Stephen Colbert, Conan O'Brien, Millie, Bobby.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Brown, Ice Spice, Brad Pint.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
If you saw anything over social media this weekend, you
saw everybody who was there?
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, like everybody that was there?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Everyone? Who is everybody?
Speaker 3 (11:05):
My question, Jody is how much say so? Of course
she she and Travis approved everybody, but like half how
much of that went through publicists? Like they didn't know everybody?
(11:25):
Did they know everybody? Or was it all publicists stuff?
And politics and who's going to be invited to what?
And who's going to get this and how they're because.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
I mean, I think they're probably invited all their friends. Okay,
you think they couldn't possibly be friends with all these
you know?
Speaker 3 (11:42):
No, No, What I'm saying is, did publicists have a lot
to do with filling up half of the Because my
all accounts were like a thousand people there.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
I'm sure they had no problem filling up.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Oh no, I.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Had Again, I have no I have, of course, But
that becomes the ticket in town, right.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
I saw Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were not there. Yeah,
or Miles Teller and his wife. But like your your networking,
you're it's politics to get the ticket, the hottest ticket
in town. I don't know. I think a wedding is
still a wedding, especially one is you know, massive as
this one. I don't think anyone's getting in who's not
(12:23):
a good and trusted friend.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Really because one of the handkerchiefs or something. Shut up
on eBay.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
You're lying.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
I'm not lying. Why are you? I'm not lying. It's
on eBay.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Whoever, that is not gonna be Taylor's friendly.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
It is. Let's see the one of the handkerchiefs with
the uh yeah, one of the handkerchiefs uh with the
blanks bas lyrics and stuff is on eBay.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Maybe somebody made a dupe.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
One of my favorite videos that I saw was from
the wife of a former NFL player.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Her name is Tiffany Compton.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Tom Compton used to play I guess and her caption reads,
when your husband played for every team in the NFL
except the Chiefs, So here we are hanging drapes.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Instead of going to a wedding. That suck.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
That might have been my favorite one. The other one
was there was a reported prenup, a forty page prenup,
and the only thing he wanted was you don't write
a song about me if it's over.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
No she gets to do that. No way she would
sign that.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Paul McCartney, like I said, showed up performed the Beatles
I Want to Hold Your Hand live for the first
time in more than sixty years.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
I read that.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Can you imagine? Why do you think he just hates
that song?
Speaker 3 (13:52):
There's not much to it, guess that. The wedding also
played games throughout the night for Raffle tickets. Prizes included
Cardia watches, designer handbags, and a nineteen seventy custom Chevy
Chevelle with the license plate just with the T and
T married, just married.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
I bet the food was delicious. I'm sure the music
was on point, not just Stevie Nixon and Paul McCartney,
but whatever music they were playing.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
We've I don't want to say dumb down the questions,
but we've dumbed down the questions. We went from championship level,
Hall of Fame level questions to the easier ones, just
to get things going again with new inexperienced Showdown participants.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
And we'll get somebody who will go a couple games
very soon.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Maybe today Mariners tickets on the line will go looking
for people in a second Tonight, US Belgium, five o'clock
at Seattle Stadium Artists formerly known as lumen Field until today. Yeah,
it'll be Today's the last day for Seattle Stadium yep.
(15:03):
And then it goes back to Lumenfield because the World
Cup here in Seattle. It will be over after today's match.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
And great job, everybody, We look good, We look good,
had a great, great time. Today is going to be crazy,
going to be crazy though, if you if you want
to get involved, and you really should, if you haven't
been out at all, you don't have to have a
ticket to get out and enjoy stuff. Fans meeting at
(15:30):
Peer fifty eight right down here on the waterfront. There's
gonna be DJs and fan activities and all sorts of
stuff going down there. And then that march leaves at
three pm from the waterfront to meet up with the
American Outlaws. That's the that's our supporter group, and they
start at Harbor Steps and march to the stadium. Now,
if you are a fan of Team Belgium, what the
(15:52):
House of.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
The Devils is meeting the House of the Devils.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah, that's their group. They'll be meeting at Victory Hall,
which is ready cross from Tea Mobile Park, gathering at
eleven am, and then they march to the stadium at
two forty five, although a much shorter march than from
the waterfront.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, how come the Americans? Yeah, we walk a.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Mile and these guys gotta walk five steps. But hey,
we're good hosts.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
So that's today five o'clock this afternoon at the stadium,
World Cup USA Belgium. In the meantime, Puget Sound showdown
for the third straight day. It's gonna be a fresh
meat game. Two brand new contestants going at it. Let's
begin with Toy in fall City.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Hi, Toy, good morning, morning Toy.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
I'd like you to welcome also a Starly Starle is
in Seattle. I Starlingley, Morning, Starley. Say hi to Toy, Toy,
Stay hi to Starlely Morning. There we go, fel camaraderie.
It doesn't matter who wins. The most important part of
this game is that you're helping us kill time on
(17:07):
the show. That's right, all right, Jody has the questions
this morning. You guys are gonna buzz in with your
name when you know the answer. First person of five wins.
If you both buzz it at the same time and
it's a tie, I get a chance. If nobody can answer,
I get a chance. If everybody gets it wrong, I
get a chance. If I be four five before you,
you're both out and we do this all over again tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Here we go, good luck.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
What sport is also known as table tennis. Chorley Ty
goes to bender ping pong, ping pong. But I'm not
giving you a point, right, correct? Okay, this is the
only time I don't get a point. Use to pick
up food. What utensil is held between the thumb and
the fingers and can commonly be found in Asian countries.
(17:54):
Sarley Starley Top six, who recorded the first all Spanish
record to reach number one on the Billboard two hundred
Charley Starley Secure, good guess. How about a guest toy Martin?
Speaker 1 (18:16):
I can't remember bender she met Martin? I'm assuming.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
First Spanish menu No bad bunny?
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (18:29):
What is the square root of sixteen? Charley Starley four scoreboards.
Starley has two toy not yet on the board. Which
British King is often associated with the Knights of the
Round Table Toy Toy King Arthur, Mike Wazowski and Sullivan
(18:54):
are characters from what two thousand Toy.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Monsters, Inc.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Scoreboard.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Starlely has three toy now on the board with one
what winged cherup is commonly associated with Valentine's Day Darley
Starlely Cupid. That is correct? The attack on Pearl Harbor
took place in what US state? Starley Starlely for the
win Hawaii game.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Over, we got a winner. Well done. So let's see
our brand new Petit Sound showdown. Champion is Starly in Seattle.
You've also got Mariners tickets for July twenty first toy.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
You're welcome back anytime. Thank you for playing.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
All right, the score was wrong. We just went back
and listened to the tape, and I wish I was
recording the conversation that was happening here in studio because
Jody had her hands up using her fingers for the columns,
(19:59):
and we're listening back to Showdown and it became two
to two, and then suddenly it was three to one,
or it should have been three to one, and I said,
so that means when Starly won, she won the game
four to two, to which Jody said, yeah, she won
(20:19):
four to two. I'm like, yeah, with the games to
five whatever. The response I got from Jody was whatever.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
No. I said, I'm cool with a rematch if you
want to have a retch.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
No, no, no, no, you said whatever first first.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Then it was well, let's just have a remax, have
a rematch. Why is it that you and I went
the entire tournament of champions huh without an issue? We
were nobody had an issue with question, We crossed reference everything,
we had no issue with with points.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
But now we're back to Lucy Goosey. I kind of
like it here. This is this is where I'm bobbing
around in the kidding pool.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
So tomorrow we're gonna have to have a rematch because
Starlee won inadvertently a point early. Remember the other lady's
name to him, Toy.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
So it's Toy and Starly. Yeah, so we'll have to
have him go head to head tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Good, And this time let's focus up God, get it
right for God's sakes.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Well, tomorrow you'll only have to focus on just the
points right, take care of the question. Perfect KHAB Seattle
an iHeartRadio station.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Guaranteed human.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Shet Jody's ninety second news update. Now look here we
are sunny with a Heinier eighty. Gonna be a beautiful
day powered by Carter subru If you are sick and
tired of all this soccer stuff, today's the last day
you're gonna have to deal with a Here in Seattle,
the biggest, most important game Seattle hosting United States of
(22:06):
America versus Belgium. Team USA fans will start at the
soccer on the Salish Sea right over here at Peer
fifty eight and march to the stadium and activities are
going to be going on all day concluding with the
Drone Show at Seattle Center. If you haven't seen one
of those live, that is a cool thing to watch. Yeah.
In more FIFA news, the soccer world is up in
(22:26):
arms over FIFA's decision to allow Team usays full or
In Bollaguan to be eligible to play against Belgium today
despite being sent off with a red card in the
previous match. Our president called FIFA's president and said review
the call. The move triggered praise from Trump, outrage from
Belgium's team, and in fact, the Belgian Soccer Federation is
(22:47):
demanding an explanation. Because usually you get a red card,
you're out of the game. They don't overturn those. This
is the first time since nineteen sixty two that red
carding did not result in a suspension.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
So for World Cup, when you get a red card,
you're suspended for the current game and then you suspend
it for the next game.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
We'll hear more about this. My personal opinion, we'll just
see how it goes. If I'm the coach of Team USA,
I don't play him. Just because he's available doesn't mean
you have to play him. Yes, he's a great player,
but if you play him and he impacts the game
in any way, then people could put an asterisk on
Team USA's success in this World Cup.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
And on the flip side of that, if they don't
play him and lose, this guy's out of a gig.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Yes, very well, he's in a no win situation.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yeah. Microsoft laying off about six hundred Washington based employees
as part of company wide cuts. Residents of Washington, d C.
Briefly experienced the worst air quality and aiding major city
in the world yesterday in the aftermath of the massive
July fourth fireworks show. City officials issued a Code red
air quality alert. Flesh eating screwworm outbreak escalates in West
(23:53):
Texas as concerned cairy one, I want you to know
I share no joy when I say flesh eating screw worm.
I know I do sound like I'm like flesh eating
screw worm. But this three one so devastating, yes, and
horrible for the animals. So they're trying to contain it
in West Texas, but animals keep going over their border
(24:15):
that they're making to try and contain it, so hopefully
it won't get out much further. Conair recalling almost two
million wire grill brushes because the metal pieces could detach
and add some seasoning to your burger that you do
not intend for.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Con Air like the Nicholas cage Plane prison movie.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Conair like the hairdryer company that also makes utensils for grills.
Oh yeah, and so if you've got one of these
Conair wire bristle brushes, stop using it, and also stop
using a wire bristle brush on your grill, because you
could eat that stuff. Prominent medical writer made an unfortunate
typo when he tweeted the following the monkey Pock's outbreak
is occurring almost entirely among men who have sex with me.
(24:55):
He meant. He meant to say it's occurring almost as
entirely among men who have sex with men, but he
said men who have sex with me, and has been
ridiculed by Twitter and sports. Mariners took two of three
from the Blue Jays and are back in first place.
They have the Marlins tomorrow storm at the Sparks. They
are five and seventeen. Brazilian soccer star neymar retired after
(25:16):
his team lost to Norway Sunday, and Serena Williams had
to pull out of doubles action at Wimbledon due to
a knee injury.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
We are so proud on so many different levels, Ryne,
and you get to join me and all the celebrities.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
And it's gonna be a blast.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
And you don't want my help now, Jody, being the
baseball mom, has offered up her.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Baseball momness.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
Well, I could just like help you train like Rocky
in the meat locker, you know, like remember when Rocky
was punching the meat. Yeah, we could go punch the
meat together.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Well, that's an inadvertent addition to your And I could
have you chase chickens and stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
I could have the star of the recent police tournament.
I know him, well, he's my son, Joshua. He could
help too. He'll bring out his stretchy bands and throw
stuff at you, speak like kung fu stuff.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Speaking of which, and that was a very well done
segue that you didn't even know you were making.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
We are proud on so many levels.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Level Number one, josh and his team won this tournament
that was taking place in Pullman over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
One the whole thing in fine style, won the whole thing,
and my Joshua did very well both on wilfins and defense.
I love him so much.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
He's my best friend. You go out of your way
to embarrass the hell out of the kid. Don't he
loves it. I don't think he does. He likes it
a little bit, a little.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Bit, he loves it. The parents my team, we have
great parents. I got a great crew, and everyone laughs
and that makes me happy. So I think we're all happy.
We're good.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Hold on to that thought for a second. Jody over
the weekend sent me a video clip of Josh private
clip sent me a clip of Josh hitting a double
and here the crowd go crazy. But then you also
hear Jody. Listen very carefully. This is now number one.
(27:32):
We're so proud on so many levels. Number one was
Josh and his team winning the tournament over the weekend.
Huh proud on level number two, this program is so
proud of Jody.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Listen to this.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
You heard that.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
That was me.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
That's Jody screaming, let's effing go.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
And then the whisper you hear immediately after that was
what did she just say?
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Listen again what she just said? I hope he heard me.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
And and the dad that says to whomever he's talking to,
I'm assuming his wife or somebody goes, what did she
just say? That the moment Jody screamed, let's e fing go.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
That was the the person by the game changer. You know,
we record these things so you can have clips of
your kids.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
What did she just say?
Speaker 2 (29:05):
And so parents and family members can watch anywhere in
the world, like my parents watched Josh's games in Florida.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
You know, oh good, So all the way in Florida
they heard their daughter scream lets effing go. I was excited, obviously,
I'm so proud of it. And then they also heard
whoever that was immediately off mic?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
What did she just say? One more time? Where did
what did she just say?
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Set standing the globe to find the news you didn't
know you needed to know. You know that Daily Bender Gazette.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Now here's Bender to you by Olympic Better you Better Life.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
A little bit unpacking to do on this one, because
I'm not quite sure why it caused the damage. Slash injury,
stated a man in Alaska. Bolton, England, a man was
handed a three month alcohol ban after assaulting his dad
(30:26):
and throwing food at police while in custody.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Apparently this guy attacked his dad. It was during a
drunken argument. Okay, they get to the police station.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
The guy arrested for the initial assault threw in a
couple of instant noodles at an officer, narrowly missing him. However,
he then threw, as the story reads, he hurled a flapjack,
(31:00):
striking one of the officers in the groin area, causing
and I quote, sharp and immediate pain.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
From a flapjack. Now, uh huh.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Does flapjack mean something different in England? Before we immediately
jump to conclusions that it's a pancake.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
That's a great question. What does flapjack mean in England?
That's great bender because it could mean something else. A
flapjack is a baked oat bar, unlike North American flapjacks,
which are pancakes. The British version is a chewy, sweet
tray bake made primarily from rold oats butter brunches, so
it's like a granola bar.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
So he threw a granola bar at the cop hit
him in the groin area, right, causing sharp and immediate pain.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Yeah, well, they do have a sticky, chewy center with
slightly crunchy edges, and if you get smacked in the
crouch with a crunchylo with a crunchy, chewy edge that
could be problematic, might be stale too.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
The Bolton Crown Court sentenced the man to twelve months
suspended for eighteen one hundred hours of unpaid work and
a six month mental health treatment requirement on top of
the three month alcohol band.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Yeah. I had a lot of problems here. He just
went haywire. You know, why can't you just sit down,
eat your noodles and your granola bars and just relax.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
Why can't you.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
Argue with everyone throwing everything at everybody's crotch?
Speaker 1 (32:36):
I mean you started again.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
The story reads he threw a cup of instant noodles,
narrowly missing.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Yeah, narrowly missing the cop I mean that's bad too,
because it could have been hot hot, It could have
been hot water. These are both bad. What would you
rather get hit with? Bender a hot cup of cup
of noodles or oh no, the granola bar your crotch?
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (33:01):
All right, figure you can withstand that, your man. You
just bear down, like when you see it coming, tighten up.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Maybe he didn't see it coming.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Tighten up and tighten up anyway. Probably good for the
prostate with that program. Is done tomorrow it'll be a
fresh meat rematch between Toy and Starly because we had
some issues with both questions and with a miscount. Right,
(33:35):
the questions were bad and the uh.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Not, they were not all bad. They one was bad.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Yeah, one one question was bad. A question you asked, uh,
where in America the Pearl Harbor attack?
Speaker 1 (33:45):
That's not how you phrased it.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Well, I don't have it right in front of me.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
But you said what state? What state was attack?
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Right?
Speaker 1 (33:52):
And Hawaii wasn't a state.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Yet, right, it was just where the naval base was.
It was the US territory. I mean the idea was
the same. But but and then the number count right.
Toy got an answer, right, and I gave her point
to Starly because I'm not a perfect person.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Who won Starley.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
One of Starley's points went to Toy. When Toy's points
went to start and.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Starley won the game though four to two and got
five to two.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
Well, she won five to one, four to one, she
won five supposed to be four to two. Right, I
gave Starley one of Toy's points. I bet you I've
done that before too. Everyone needs to pay attention to
their own point. Count. I'm not your mother.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
So from here on out, when you're playing Puget Sound SHOWDWN,
if you're lucky enough to get through and play the game,
you're responsible for your own point.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
You should know if you have two, three, four okay?
Speaker 3 (34:46):
In toys defense, huh, she said, I think you screwed
up the count to what you said.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
No, I didn't, So now that you bring it up,
I remember that. I remember that.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Tomorrow more Mariners tickets and more tickets to the Seattle
All Star Classic Celebrity Softball game that I'm going to
be playing in on Saturday Chase Stadium. Also tomorrow an
update at the Bender Ranch. Get waity, we have a
major update. Major update as alway
