Have you ever seen the airbnb that's shaped like a
Hobbit house. You have to wait years to get into
(03:13):
this thing. This woman was like, she was a big
fan of Lord of the Rings. So she built this.
I mean she probably didn't get a permit for it,
but that's neither here nor there. She built it into
the ground like a Hobbit house, and people waited for
years to rent this thing, and unfortunately it was lost

But first powered by Carter Subru Gonna be Cloudy and

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Hot dogs a lot. My favor a seattle dog, but
you like it playing right?
Speaker 2 (17:56):
The regular one has cream cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and
Halapenos hosts. Celebrity chef Jose Andre was there to judge
the competition, so he's the biggest heavy heavy hitter in
the business. He called the cream cheese the diplomat of
the dog, bringing all those flavors together. So the Seattle
dog beat the Chicago dog and the famous New York dog.
So look at us, everybody, look at us. Just take
(18:20):
one look. The pit leads this year's Emmy nominations with
twenty five. We're not doing that now. I don't know
why I just started doing that.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Are you okay? This is not the time to bring
up the Emmys. We're doing that after? What is the
problem on I prose?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
I'm good and if you want me, oh me time

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Chicken Kurke.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
What were we doing that, old McDonald, I don't know,
wonderful text.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Do we have enough recordings of Jody's singing to make
a mashup? Yes we do. Did you're welcome? Text? Please please?
Joey have asked you before. I'll raise the price. I'll
give you one hundred dollars if you never sing on
the air again. That's not you know what necessary. No,
In fact, i'm blocking him now. Whoever that is texting
the program.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
That's the guy from West Sattle who called me doll
that one time.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Yeah, well he's blocked. He's blocked, and we're revoking his
free listenership to the program.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
We don't need that kind of name.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
We do not need that kind of nature.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Everybody's having fun, and then you got to text in
I hate this crap. We're obviously going to keep doing it.
Your opinion is muted.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Buck here and bunk.
Speaker 9 (22:01):
Buck there, Well McDonald.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Army and again, oh lower.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
And again sorry buster.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
To my face, especially the bunk bunk. So thank you
so much for being who you are.
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Oh my god, I don't know why this army had
a chicken tourny.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
With buck Buck here.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
And buck buck there.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Yeah, here why I don't know. It's from September of
twenty twenty three. I don't know why. God, I have
absolutely no idea, Doc, what's going on? Bender?
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (22:51):
Now you know why I always give Jody the accolades
and you say that I've got my note so far
up the backside I can't breathe it's on.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Thank you, Doc, I appreciate that. And you don't have
to listen to Bender if he's gonna shout negative stuff
in your direction either, you know.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
Yeah, but typically he can't hear it because he is
so far up your ass.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Again, that's the kind of negativity I'm talking about.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Other people think about me.
Speaker 10 (23:21):
It's really none of my business.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
That's what I'm talking exactly. That's thanks for coming back
at you, Docs.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
And.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Just sort of a musing to myself, you know, enjoying
the song.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Do we want to do the Emmy nominations or no?
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I think people enjoy being in the know.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
I can tell you looking at the list, I don't
think there's more than a show or two that I've watched.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
That's not true. I know what shows you've watched. Two
of your favorites are on the list.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Of what for what category?
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Slow Horses was nominated for Best Drama, Yeah, and Sterling K.
Brown was nominated for Paradise. Yeah, you don't watch HBO.
Max is the Pit, which I have told you before
is an epic show, and now in its second season,
it led the Emmys with twenty five nobs.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Okay, is there any humor ongoing humor?
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Or?
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Is it like a pit? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I mean it's not a comedy, but interested there are
things that you definitely laugh at performances.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Paradise I like because it's not quite sci fi, but
it's just it's it's just weird enough to wear. It's good.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
And then Slow Horses Gary Oldman is brilliant.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
Well.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
The Emmys needed to acknowledge that there are a couple
of series that were ending this year. The Bear FX
is the Bear, which has been a Nommy vacuum for
all these years, is ending, and unfortunately Jeremia Allen White
and Ebon Moss Backrock were both snubbed. Oh wow, yeah,
the show was nominated for Comedy. Talk about a non
(25:14):
comedy being in the comedy category. That is a drama
if I've ever watched one. But that show is ending,
So it needed to get sent off. Hacks is now over.
Hacks an epic show, broke the all time comedy record
with twenty four and my favorite new show of the
year Apple TV's Widow's Bay, which I started watching and
I now have watched it three times all the way through.
(25:36):
It is one of the best shows I've ever seen.
It is a perfect blend of horror and comedy. The
Matthew Reese leads an all star cast. Some people you've
never even seen before. Stephen Root, you know, the stapler
guy from the office Space, He's in it.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
We'll always be the station manager from news radio right
always yes.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
And then this woman Kate Flynn who's a British actress.
If she doesn't win, I'll eat my shoe. Is Widow's Bay.
Everybody on Apple TV. A couple of the snubs that
are worth mentioning Ashley Padilla, who's a new star from
Saturday Night Live. Every single time she's on a skit,
you go right to her, your eyes track her. She
(26:15):
is absolutely hilarious. Full snub. John Hamm got snubbed for
Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV. The show was
nominated but not him.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Is not the one where the meme came from. Yes,
and he got snubbed. Yeah, he got snubbed. A great show.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
And then half Man on HBO about toxic masculinity. So
you know, I watched it and it's Richard Gadd, the
guy who did Reindeer which you didn't watch, which I
told you to watch, and he won tons of awards
for that one.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
What was the what was the the gay ice hockey one?
Did that not get anything?
Speaker 2 (26:48):
He did rival?
Speaker 3 (26:49):
He did Rivalry, not because that was a series, wasn't it?
Speaker 2 (26:51):
It was a series. I feel like that was two
years ago, wasn't it. I don't think that was.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
It was? What about off Campus? Those are the two that,
like I've heard all.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
That's just not going to win any nomination because it's trash. Okay,
but it's but okay, it's like a chocolate chip cookie. Okay,
it's like a chips of hoy okay. But there needs
to be a category. It's kind of like what the
Oscars did for the Blockbuster. There has to be a category.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
For best trans or the series that everyone's talking about.
Speaker 9 (27:22):
Right.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Also, heated Rivalry received zero Emmy nominations because it was
a Canadian production. Also, Canadians Can't Win an Emmy is
a fully funded Canadian production made for the network Crave,
and under TV Academy rules, it failed to meet the
criteria for foreign productions because it lacked a US CO
production partner.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
So all foreign films have to have a co a
co American production thing.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Right, or I assume if you're a foreign piece and
you feel like you have what it takes, then you
then you partner with a production house to have them know.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
I had no idea. I had no idea for to
be an Emmy winner or a nominee, you had to
be somehow connected to the US.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
And also it deserved zero nominee. Highway and North.
Speaker 9 (28:09):
Needed to know.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
You know that Daily Bender Gazette.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Now Here's Bender brought you by Olympic Hot Tub.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Better You, better Life.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
I'm not sure if this helps or hinders your fear, okay,
your phobia of getting into a WEAMO car.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Oh, my personal fear.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yes, yeah, m because the car is a bit more
aware than you think it is.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Okay. Of course, my argument is supported by all the
videos that I keep sending you of like Waymo's just
circling and Waymo's running into walls and Weaymo's not going
the right way.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
And for those who don't know, a Weamo is a
robot taxi. It's the autonomous self driving car.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
I've said I'd never get in one ever.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
And it's an uber yeah basically, so when you call
for a Weimo robotaxi, this thing picks you up. There's
no one in the car but.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
You and this, and my fear of self driving vehicles
goes also for people who have like Tesla's and they
just sit back and like eat a bowl of cereal
while the car drives itself. And there was that guy
in California who was in his own backseat driving himself
to work, like all that stuff. It's it's not for me, okay.
If it's for you, great good luck.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
In San Mateo, California, a Waimo self driving car called
the police on two fifteen year old passengers allegedly drinking
and firing toy guns during their ride. Whoa police responded
after Weaimo reported the teens. So this was during the
(29:57):
ride the Waimo it's elf call the police and then
pulled into a parking lot I'm assuming, locked the doors
and waited for the officers to arrive. Uhh wow, I
wonder what it was like. How does a weimo know
if they're drinking alcohol? Under each Weaymo states it's it
(30:19):
has internal cameras and microphones for safety purposes, but racial
but racial facial recognition is not used, so it can
see what's going on, right, it can hear what's going on.
It detected danger in the car and called the police.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
I mean, if it was the guns, then that's great.
But also did y'all know that they were watching inside
those things?
Speaker 3 (30:46):
Well, of course, you get in any uber, there's cameras on.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
You've been in one of the weimo's, right, I say.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Anywhere I've not been in a weimo. I've seen them.
I've been in traffic next to one. But when you
get into any uber, the driver has a camera facing.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
You, right, and Uber itself has had to answer for
many many drivers who themselves had accosted their riders their ridership.
That's why you know you can choose a woman driver now,
because like women have had a lot of issues with
these drivers. But Awaimo doesn't have a driver, so they're
monitoring the people inside the car for for what all?
Speaker 3 (31:24):
I can picture is the guys from Jurassic Park. Yeah,
watching the people inside the car and talking to them.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
I mean, if that really is for people's safety, then
that's cool. But if it's for what else? The various
purposes Okay, like if they're you know, trying to see people,
like making out and doing all sorts of like naked stuff.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
According to the report, the fifteen year olds were firing
gel filled or bees pellets. Oh so they had airsoft
guns from toy guns out of the moving vehicle.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
They had airsoft guns. Those things actually look very real.
I have one of those in my house because Josh
was into airsoft for exactly six minutes. So I spent
one thousand dollars getting him all geared up. Your but
I love him so much. So a very serious looking
piece of artillery. That is a fake gun.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
So WEAIMO called the police on the two fifteen year
old passengers. All right, pulled over, Yeah, and they're the
only detail is that, Well, why wouldn't the kids have
just gotten out of the car. I'm assuming they couldn't
get out of the car.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
That's scary, or what if some voice came over like
the radio was just like stay where you are the
police have been notified?
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Is that not? That is to me, it is the
scariest part of the entire story. Yeah, that the Weimo
robo taxi pulled over and the two people in the car,
I don't care how old they are, ye couldn't get
out of the car.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
That's scary for sure. I didn't know that Weaimo's did
all that. But at the same time, if it was
protecting the public from what they thought were real weapons.
Although those jill weapons also if you get up close,
you could puncture the skin.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Video footage showed police approaching the Robotaxi with weapons drawn.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Ooo.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Yeah they thought they were real. They thought they were real.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
So there you go. So the Robotaxi knocked called the
cops and that was that.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Okay, well heads up everybody, when you get one of
those cars. Nobody might be in there, but that doesn't
mean nobody's watching. Nobody might be in there, but that
doesn't mean nobody's watching.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Okay, are we done? Yeah, we're gonna be on TV
in about a half hour.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
And before that happens, I have to go to the
bathroom and I'm wearing overalls today, so I need extra
five minutes, get these damn overalls back on.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
Jody and I'll be on good day Seattle. So when
you see us at about ten thirteen, Jody will have
the look of relief.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
All right, just no, I finally got to go to
the bathroom.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
Or if you don't see her and it's a split
screen of me and then an empty microphone over there,
you'll know she's still in the bathroom. Couldn't get it
back up, couldn't couldn't get the overalls back up. Tomorrow
to feel good Friday Morning dance parties, your last shot
at the Seattle All Star Classic Celebrity Softball Tickets for
(34:19):
Saturday at Cheney Stadium. We're going to have a fresh
meat game. A Huget sound showed. That's going to be
our fourth fresh meat game in a week and a half.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Dude, all right, that happens, all right?
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Uh, we wrap with you morning. You know what I
haven't heard in a while is the full damn, damn, damn.
I haven't heard that in a while. Yeah, I want
to hear the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
You haven't played that in a while.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
I want to hear the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
The collection of people saying damn and then when the
one person going like darn it or whatever, she says.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Well, they'll actually have a new one today, you do. Yeah,
hold on a seconds.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Although the timing on that talk bag is excellent. Hold on,
did you hide it from yourself?
Speaker 3 (35:02):
I think I did? Hold on because then we have
there was so much stuff today.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yeah, there were a little, but your files are a
little back there.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
There's there's so.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
M Well we could do it tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
I got it.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
I got it, I got it.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Okay, hold on, No, you know what talking about yourself?
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Right? So anyway, sometimes when you're wearing overalls and you
have to go to the bathroom, it's extra and what's
your request?
Speaker 6 (35:29):
The guys are great. I hope you having a great day.
We make me laugh every day, like all these shows
and things, different topics. Damn, you know what I haven't
heard in a long time. The Jets got a crush
on you. This is Michael had a Federal Way. You

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Damn, damn, damn.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
I haven't heard that in a while. And there's one more, Hey, gosh, darn,
I haven't heard that
