Speaker 1 (00:00):
What were we talking about yesterday?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
That came up with like fine, my oh, because Kristen
shares her location with.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Diane even though Diane doesn't.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Know, right, I'd kind of forgotten about it, But it all.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Came out of that Chinese.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
That Chinese am I dead app right? But the but
that looks through Fine Mine not Life three sixty. Yeah,
now I'm not on like the single family was never
a Life three sixty family at all?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You guys do that or did that?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Marley and I do? Scott's not involved in it?

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Isn't that weird? Why is it? Scott on?

Speaker 5 (00:35):
I just it was one of those things where when
she was going away to school, I was like I
need to keep track of her, right, Oh.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
You didn't have this in high school?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Oh no, because I would just use Fine Mine.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
But so why was what was the reason to switch?
I mean, fine you still find the location.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
I think maybe I had just heard it from one
of my friends and I was like, oh, that sounds
like a good idea.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Isn't Life three sixty though, Like, isn't that like fine
may on steroids?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Like again, we never we never used it.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
I mean it can be I remember when we dropped
her off at school and we were still staying the
night in Savannah and leaving the next day, and I
got I got a notification. I was like, why is
she going seventy miles an hour? What's happened?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Exactly exactly, So that's like that's what I mean, Like
it could tell how fast you're gold like it tells you.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
It was like, I mean, I don't have like the
gold edition, the one that you pay for.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I just have the free, the free stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Because I remember a buddy of mine, his family, like
the whole family was on Life three sixty yeah, and
like if he was a passenger in a car and
the car was going like ten miles over the speed limit, yeah,
the wife would call the sun and go, hey, sloat down,
tell your friend to slow down.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I was like, holy crap, I didn't even know you
could do that.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Yeah, Like like on fine My all you can see
is like sometimes it's moving.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, Like that's it, Like that's all you get.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
Yeah, it'll show it'll it'll show a little sneaker icon
when she's walking somewhere are you yeah? Oh yeah, And
that's all the free stuff. I haven't even I'm not
going to pay for the extra stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
But the I can't even imagine what more extra can
you get? It shows you walking, you get speed.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
You get more detailed driver reports, that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Life three sixty is crazy?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Is it more accurate in terms of like where someone
is than like find my.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
It keeps you, I mean the bubble it gives you.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
I bet if you paid for it you'd get a
little bit more accurate reading. But because sometimes it'll say, like, well,
why does it say that she's at she's at her
apartment when she should be in class, And then I
you you sort of like pinch it out a little
bit and it's like, oh no, no, no, she's at an
academic building.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
It's just in the bubble very close.

Speaker 6 (02:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
No, I get that that part I get, But never
did Life three.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Sixty real fun if you're obsessive, So thank you for
saying that.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
No, because somebody sent me something yesterday, Christian, will you
do me a favor? Will you find me Someboddy who
has like their family is like Life three sixty, but
is obsessive about it like it, will admit that they're obsessive,
or if they have a family member that's obsessive.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I'd love that. Please.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Is there that person in every group?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I don't know if it's in every group, like the
the like my my buddy whose wife was calling to
tell the driver to slow down. Yeah, she was obsessive,
but he was not the husband. No, I would bet
he never even opened the app.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
What about downloaded it? Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Oh everybody had to have it, and everybody had to
have it and everybody had to share location. But I
bet he never opened it. Okay, I bet she never
closed it ever.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Ever, unless she handed you her phone.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Right and then like I did the Diana yesterday, I closed.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Fifty apps needless, needless, trying.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
To protect your battery, Diane, just trying to protect your battery.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Line two. Hi Elliott, the morning.

Speaker 7 (04:08):
Hi Elliott, this is Stephanie.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Are you Are you obsessive or are you in a
family that has somebody obsessive?

Speaker 7 (04:16):
I am obsessive and my daughter is obsessive.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Really, how old you're And by the way, I don't
want people to think that life three sixty is just
if you have younger kids. A lot of times it
may start when the family is a little like high school, college,
but then you get you get grown ass adults who
are like adult children, and it could be adult friends,
like it doesn't matter, Like it's not just like, oh,

(04:42):
I'm trying to keep track of my middle school or
high schooler.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Like it is full on adults as well.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Didn't we learn about a bachelor party trend where the
guys were all, oh.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yes, they they didn't lose each other exactly? Actually that
actually makes sense.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
I have my college daughter and I have her roommate
in there, and I have all of her friends in
my Life three sixty. I also have a separate life
three sixty with my best friend in it, and I
have my husband and my other son, which is already
graduated from college on Life three sixty as twell. And

(05:23):
anytime I want to know where they're at, I just
pulled up look and I'm able to also tell, Like
if there's a crash, I get a notification that there's
been a crash and it calls nine one one immediately no,
and that that's a.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Good featured And is that has that been helpful on
a number of occasions?

Speaker 8 (05:40):
Not the question I went with my daughter.

Speaker 7 (05:42):
My daughter does not drive. She's a passenger.

Speaker 9 (05:44):
Princess, right, so.

Speaker 7 (05:46):
She rides with friends and they were in a crash
and I got like a notification and I'm like, oh
my gosh, what is happening? And it called because she
was in the car when it happened.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
So he was using work. But so thank god we
have that feature.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
The the So here's the no.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
No, you have to ask about the roommate.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Oh yes, yeah, oh why friend?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Why is your your college daughter's roommates and friends on
with you?

Speaker 7 (06:17):
That's how my daughter added them to our family one
and they're all considered like my family because my kids,
my daughter goes to WU. So when we go up
to tailgate, I send out a big old message and
they all know where I'm at.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Oh, because you don't have the ability to text or
drop a pin for your location, right, I do have.

Speaker 7 (06:42):
The ability to text, but it's just as easy.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
You know what I would never do. I would never friends. No, God, no.
Now let me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Will you see like one of your one of your
daughter's friends doing something not doing something?

Speaker 1 (06:58):
For example, you're you're going to visit WVU.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Right, and you could see like one of your one
of your daughter's friends is like at a convenience store
and you're like, I need cigarettes? Will you send her
a note that says, hey, I see you're at the
convenience store, pick me up a pack.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
No.

Speaker 7 (07:14):
I Now, my daughter's roommate was in Pittsburgh at the
Pittsburgh game, and I was like, what is she doing
in Pittsburgh? She supes to be in school?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
How about none of your business?

Speaker 7 (07:28):
So I texted my daughter and I said, why is
this Why sopha in Pittsburgh And she says, oh, she
went up there for the game and her professor took her.
And I'm like, okay, no, I.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Just send her a note on the side, professor right now. Hey,
then let me ask you another question. So you've got
you've got all these people that you're connected with. Yes,
do you throw a conniption fit if one of them
turns their location off?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
No?

Speaker 7 (08:00):
But I have turned my location off and my phone
blows up from my daughter, my son, my husband, and
they're like, why is your location off? Where are you at?
What are you doing right?

Speaker 1 (08:13):
And why are you turning it off?

Speaker 7 (08:16):
Just because I don't want to. I just don't feel
like it not being like being tracked to. My daughter
gets notifications like I left the house or I'm at work.
I don't have your room. Man, I don't have the
I don't have the notifications turned on. I don't I
don't do that right.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
So, anyway, I was reading this story. Thank you, ma'am,
thank you, you're welcome. Man.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
So I was reading about a family group that has
life three sixty. Everybody joined and everybody's out of school,
mind you, like these are all adults, right, and everybody
joined willingly. It wasn't like everybody was forced to join.
Like everybody joined willingly and everything was fine. But one
of the I think there's three daughters. I'm kind of

(09:02):
trying to remember without looking at it. The one of
the daughters who lives across country turned there.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
A couple live across country turned their location.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Off, where everybody was like, oh, okay, well whatever, you know.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I don't know why, but turned her location off.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
But even though her location is off, is on the
app incessantly.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Following the others, following everybody else.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
And we'll send a note to somebody, Oh hey, I
see you're at the grocery store.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
I need you to pick me up a B and C.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Or we'll send a note to somebody else and go oh, hey,
I see you're at Starbucks.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Get me a drink. But never but it's turning her
location off. Yeah, and won't do it.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
So I thought she lived across the country.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yeah, no, No, with with a couple of the other sisters.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
So they're on both sides. There's some family out west
in some family back east. So anyway, she'll say like, oh,
I see you're at Starbucks. Pick me up a drink,
but nobody knows where she is, and she is like.
Somebody will get home on the other on the East
coast and they'll go, oh, hey, I see you just
got home. I need you call me, and it's like,

(10:08):
oh my god. Like she is on it incessant, but
won't share her location. Somebody in the family wants to
kick her out.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Even with the decision to turn off their location, she's
still being annoying. Oh god, you can share your location
and still torture people knowing where they all are.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Errands yet, No, but it's worse if you won't share
with me where you are.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
But now you're stalking me and having me do things
for you. That's worse.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
But they'd be fine if he did that, if they
could do it.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Back to her, or you.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Could at least yeah, Like, it's one thing to go, oh, hey,
you're at the store, will you pick this up for me?

Speaker 4 (10:46):
I get that she's abusing the platform.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
But it's only But it's only. It's a one way street.
I need a two ways Okay.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
If they think, oh, we would do the same to
her and we can't, I understand, but it just sounds
super annoying.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
I mean, I don't use it.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
But if I saw Jackie was at Starbucks, I'd ask
her to get me a drink. Yeah, I'd be like, hey, listen,
I'll be home at ten minutes. It do me a favor,
pick me up a pike place.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
But have you ever seen her on fine my and
requested something of her location?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
No, No, that I haven't done.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I've seen one of my boys turn off share location,
and I've heard that the talking to they got this
was when they were in high school.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Yeah, oh, do not turn that off. No, uh uh?

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Why did they do it?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
They were at a football game with the teacher. No,
they were I don't even know. They just turned it
off and Jackie lost her mind. So I had to
call and I was like, hey, listen, your mom's gonna
rip you an ass, and she did. I was like,
you better turn that back on. I don't know what
you're hiding.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
But you better.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
It's like no food, but yeah, the obsessive ones, it's bad.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
It's bad.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
But then people got pissed, so this woman. So the
story comes from Reddit, right from am I an a hole?
So many people so many like it was very split,
like some are like, uh, you can't. You can't be
in and not participate, right, and then others were like,
get over it.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Who cares, like you're all adults, move on.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
So no one had an issue with the abusing of
other family members time and money.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Oh, I bet that goes on all the time.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
I'd be saying no.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
That's the issue that stands out the most to me.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Why would you be saying no?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
If Scott, If Scott saw that you were at Starbucks,
it was like, hey, can you get me a drink?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
You'd be what little different, Hey you're abusing like three
sixty No.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
But that's a little different than this this girl who's
like like having your family members, Oh give me this.
Oh you're at the store, can you pick this up
for me? To like, no, go to the damn store yourself.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
So so so Scott reaches you're at Harris Teeter.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Scott reaches out and the head that's different.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
Finish, we live in the same house, right, I'm going
to benefit if we if I pick up extra paper towels,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (12:51):
That's different.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Okay, Marley sees that you're at Harris Teeter and goes, hey,
will you pick up some candy and send it to me?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
No, the you would No, I wouldn't send it to her. Well,
I'm trying to think.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
The better example is, so, say you're at over in Rio,
the grocery store's hairs teeter, say your hair's teeter, and
and I live closer than Diane does. But say Diane's
shopping there, and Scott, because there's a Starbucks right nearby, says, hey,
since you're near a Starbucks, can you pick me up?

Speaker 6 (13:20):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah, so go out of your way.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Yes, that's the difference.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah yeah, But I would go out of my way
for my wife. I wouldn't. I'd be like, get off
the goddamn three sixty text me?

Speaker 4 (13:33):
And then could you imagine if your kids were sending
you hey, can you go and pick me up? Like?

Speaker 1 (13:38):
What else?

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Is right there.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Or downtown Crown Winding Beer.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Now you're on, Can you get me a six pack
and a panini?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
No, I'm shopping. That would that would drive me nuts? Yeah?
That would that would drive me nuts. That I get that.
I get Hi Ellie the morning.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Hello, that was just me?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Yeah? Hi, who's Yes?

Speaker 9 (14:05):
Well this is a big Hurricane fan. I'm watching the
game Monday night. I'm very, very excited about it. But anyway,
my name is Heather.

Speaker 8 (14:13):
So I have some friends in a mom group. Their
kids are like in college. Not only do they still
have their kids on Life three sixty, but they have
each other on Life three sixty. The moms have each
other on Life three sixty, which is I'm not I
don't engage in that.

Speaker 9 (14:29):
But it's they've known each other for years though they're
kind of like family.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
But anyway, so here's what I could tell you if
I if I send a note to a group text
that Hasdichi, Coastguard, Kurt, Sweet Nelly, and Bigsie. If I
send a note and said, hey, boys, let's get on
let's get on Life three sixty together, it would be
a race of all of them to tell me that
f all Now there is zero chance any of them

(14:57):
would do that.

Speaker 8 (14:58):
That's kind of how I feel.

Speaker 9 (15:00):
That's why I'm not on it. But yeah, they all
have like.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Three success and are they obsessive about it? Like will
they send a note to each other? Oh, hey, Sherry,
I see you're over in Gaithersburg. Can you get by
downtown Crown Elliott needs a panini?

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Like will they run one.

Speaker 9 (15:15):
Or two of them? Or one or two of them?
Can be a little bit creepy about it, But yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Don't like it for the Errands. I don't like it
now that I think about it, I don't like it
for the Errands. No, yeah, no, you go do it.

Speaker 8 (15:29):
I think I think it kind of started for them though,
Like they gone them on a trip together, and I
think maybe in case they got separated from each other,
they had it deletely.

Speaker 9 (15:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah quit the group.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah, like I get like they thank you, ma'am, thank you.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Bachelor party. Hey, we're all going to New Orleans or
Vegas or whatever. There's a chance the big group. Everybody's
spread out, everybody's drinking. I actually get that. That almost
makes sense to me.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
It seems like it's done out of a safety Yes.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Sir, absolutely, yeah when I get back, though, Like, I
don't need I don't need that.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
I don't need you knowing what I'm doing.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Yeah, I'm with you, and certainly don't misuse it and
torture me with knowing where I am at every moment.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yeah, I don't need Diane sending me a message. Hey,
I see you're at the Caps game. Do me a
favor on the way home. Pick this up. I'm gonna
be hungry in the morning. Get me some carrots.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Like, no, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
But usually because all I have is find my if
anyone in my family is in something like Capital One
Arena or in where were they? Oh, they were at
one of those Like wasn't a ninja gym? And now
I'm thinking of that deer, but it was like, uh,
it wasn't a trampoline place, but what some big warehouse

(16:50):
that's converted into where you can swig to the zip
line and stuff. When you then go to search them,
the apple can't find them, so it's just given you
their past location. I'm like, well, I know he's still
not home right three hours ago, but where is he
now supposed to be home?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Well? I have him running garrans. I actually haven't been
a group on Life three sixty. I have him running
some arans for me. Where am I going? Line for Hi?
Elliot the morning? Hello?

Speaker 6 (17:23):
Hello?

Speaker 8 (17:23):
Yeah, Hi?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Who's this.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
John?

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yes, sir, what can I do for you?

Speaker 6 (17:29):
Yes, I've got Live three sixty. And I was against
it at first until my son went missing. His friend
had Life three sixty, took a screen shot, and I
went and found my son by just looking at the screenshot.
Now I have it. I wish I didn't have it
because my wife knows exactly where I'm at at all times.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Turn off Share Location, Well, you can do.

Speaker 6 (17:54):
That during Christmas time. It'll tell you you're in the city.
Like if I want to go shopping from a wall,
if I got to turn it off, I'm in a
big bubble. She'll know exactly where I'm at. But she
knows what city I'm at.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
You're shopping the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
But the reason you can't turn it off because you
know the second you get home, you're getting this conversation.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Hey, what's your name?

Speaker 6 (18:13):
Right?

Speaker 1 (18:13):
What's your name? What are you doing? What are you doing?

Speaker 6 (18:17):
Yes, she will call me now if I'm at the
grocery store. Hey, pick me up with doctor pepper. You
know you've been at this station too long? What are
you doing?

Speaker 1 (18:27):
There's a long line for Zin's by the way. You
know who like you know who? Hey, thank you sir.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
If the four of us were in a group, who
would be the most abusive about errands, like like requesting errands? You?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah, I think you're right.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Yeah, I think you're right, Because for a second I
was like, why would he ask this question? If the
answer is him, you're very self aware.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yeah, I think it would be me because I would
have no shame.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Oh hey, Diane, Diane, you're getting gased cinnamon zins?

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Please? Yeah? No, I would be I would be bad.
I think I would be the worst.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
For all the examples and stories given though this sounds
like it may be the worst. My husband has life
three sixty on my kids, but I don't because it
gives me anxiety. He can see when their phone batteries
are low. Oh yeah, yes, yeah, that pops up. I
don't need that kind of stress. Who is texting their

(19:25):
children to tell them to charge their devices?

Speaker 3 (19:29):
I've never done that. You would are you writing down you, Jackie?

Speaker 1 (19:34):
No?

Speaker 4 (19:35):
No, you know she's done that.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
That's the one who was stalking her kids.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
Yeah, I knew that, you've you've mentioned it before, but
you never told us she went that far.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Charge your phone, plug your phone in.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Because if that battery runs out, Yeah, I can't stalk
you no more. Ye. So yeah, as a matter of fact,
would call and go like at one point had sent
a message about the battery being low and and and
his son their son or daughter, however, and the parent

(20:11):
responding back borrow a charger.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Yeah. Yeah, that was a big one.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
I remember getting that story and thinking, holy crap, I
can't even imagine.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
I've just seen it, and I'm like, you see that
that little battery with the red and I'm like, oh,
that's going to be a rude awakening for that eight
am class.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
No, but I'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
I bet, I bet. If you have anxiety, tracking is
would drive you nuts. Track it would drive you nuts.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
