Could you see Dick Van Dyke as James Bond? No,
and neither could he. Van Dyke was just on Today
and he told the story about how he was offered
the role of Double O seven after Sean Connery left.
Barbara Brockley wanted him to be the star of On
Her Majesty's Secret Service, but Van Dyke's response was short
and effective. Have you heard my British accent referring to

for it. Eventually, George Lazenby would take the role of
James Bond in the movie. Dick Van Dyke would not
have worked. A guy that was perfect for the role
was Will Ferrell starring his buddy in Elf. We'll get
to see him and everyone again. Coming up for the
first annual December the twelfth celebration, Warner Brothers will have

special screenings of Elf within theater singalongs and special visits
from friends. And who knows what other holiday surprise is.
