Speaker 2 (00:21):
Now with today's show, here's Nadia.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Tell everyone, and happy Sunday to you. I hope you're
having a wonderful weekend. And well, you know, the weather
is the weather, so we some people can predicted some
people cannot predict it. But I hope you're safe out there,
and you know you're going to enjoy the snow, so
so happy Sunday to everybody, and thank you again for listening.
And this is probably a good time to really, you know,

(00:45):
relax and listen to the show and learn something that's
always what we want. And I have a wonderful guest
here which you've heard in many times, and it's just
such a great way of learning and getting to get
especially get ourselves ready. I know you can't think about
this now, but honestly, it is the perfect time to
think about summer, and I want to introduce and welcome
Coach Brex. Thank you so much for coming here today again.

(01:09):
I mean you're spending a lot of time with me,
are you okay with that? Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, good time on the radio. I enjoy it. I
enjoyed a lot. I appreciate you having me on again.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yeah, and you have a great voice for radio, so
I think it's really nice. I think it helps honestly,
you know, so that's a really good thing. And please
introduce yourself. Tell us where you you know what you do,
because you obviously own your own business in the area. Also,
that's why I really love connecting with you, because we
do have like mind. Also, that's really another thing I
really enjoy. So introduce yourself, and you know, let's talk
about things that are going to be changing people's lives.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Right, Yes, definitely, it's the key. Yes, so maybe it's
Coach Bricks. I work at Exposive Sports formas started that
up about twenty four years ago, working with athletes, primarily
helping them improve their performances, speed, strength, and power, all
that good stuff. But it's shifted over the last couple
of years to work on also longevity, longevity of not
just the athletes that play a sport, but all athletes.

(02:00):
You know, if you're in your fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties,
how can we live better? How can we live pain free?
How can we get through life if there is an injury?
What do we do to mitigate that or how do
we get over that quickly? So that's been one of
my passions over the last five six years is try
to transition that. Also. I have a lot of athletes
that come back to me after they're done playing their

(02:20):
sport and say, hey, I want to continue My body's
starting to break down, you know, after college. What can
I do? So I've been trying to implement a lot
of new stuff with them to get them to feel
better and hopefully, you know, because sports stop typically around
eighteen years old, you know, maybe nineteen. Maybe you're feel
lucky you go into college and play the twenty twenty two.
But life continues on, and do you want to play

(02:41):
with your kids? You know, and be able to run
around and do all the good stuff that you should
be able to do. But a lot of parents can't
because they're in such constant pain, they're hurting, they're doing
all these things I don't want to see that anymore.
I want to see people actually thrive in today's environment.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
And you know, you definitely work with athletes and with that,
and I had the privilege of being at your place
and you know, doing a speaking engagement with one of
your athletes, which he was absolutely magnificent and so are
you and everything that you say, I always learn something.
But also your your wife does teach classes, right, so
she like, do I'm not all women?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Women? Are men too, those primary women?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
But she does. Actually the gentleman that you met, he
played at Dartmouth, played a UMass. Hopefully here you're going
to play in the professional ranks. But he takes them
and he credits a lot of those classes to how
good he feels. I mean, it's amazing. I think a
lot of guys see that as only a female thing,
and I think that's why they get it wrong, because
guys are saying, god, I just need a lift heavy. Well,

(03:38):
I know a lot of guys that lift heavy and
are now all broken because they don't take care of
the whole bye. They don't look at it that way,
And that's the unfortunate thing. And also same thing with females.
Sometimes females just get too stuck in classes. That's not
always good either. You got to build strength as well,
so you got to be able to balance it too.
But she primarily has females, but she does all kinds
of different classes. Our classes are phenomenal.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I'm not actually, I definitely think of it. I'd come
into shaking one, but then I was like, dang it.
You know, I did the same things so over and
over because I'm trying to like move things around on
what I do. You know, I did hit classes. I
do cycling, you know, and but I decided that I
need to Just like you said, some women get caught
up into classes. And I'm I always think everybody needs
some sort of accountability for something, right. It could be anything,

(04:18):
and there's a million things out there and people need
accountability for something right. So and you know, obviously I
own trim Line, and people need accountability for weight loss,
do get their nutrition under control, to be able to
not just start it and then go off of it
two days later, but to be consistent with it, right.
So accountability at trim Line is something that is huge
for me because because if you're going to do it
on your own you would have done it. And even

(04:40):
even if you're on these weight loss shots, you're still
don't change your brain on how you're going to look
at food. Right, So it's going to come back and
unless you're gonna be on the shot forever, which I
don't even know why anybody want to do that. But
the key is learning about nutrition, building different relationship with it,
and people need accountability for that because we built habits,
decades of bad habits of our relationship with food. Me,

(05:00):
I need accountability to work out right Like that is
I've never been an at home Jim person, like I
got the stuff for Jim at one point, especially in COVID,
I got it. Oh my goodness, Lord, I wish I
wouldn't have gone it because I knew myself that I'm
not going to work out. I looked at the equipment
one that I you know, the pivotal people hanging their
stuff on it kind of deal. You know, your laundry.

(05:22):
But I need to go to the gym, to a
class because that to me, for whatever reason, holds me
accountable to doing structure, to the music and doing that.
And then you know, in the past year, year and
a half, two years, I realized that I need to
go back to my lifting. You know, so even though
hit classes are lifting, you're pushing or pulling or whatever,
but it is getting that little bit of variety that

(05:43):
you're talking about. And you know, I was thinking to myself,
I swear the other day, I'm like, oh, maybe I
should like go and take your one of your wife's classes.
But I was like, what if I'm bad at it.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
You're not going to be bad. Like I said, everybody
starts wherever they start. I think that's one of the
biggest things, is you nailed it. You got to start
where you're at, and are you going to look like
the person who's been there for five or six times? No,
not at all. Like I always tell people, I said,
I didn't play start playing basketball tries in seventh grade.
Well I was already behind the curve because everybody started
went there and fourth, but I still went out still
how to do it, and still you know, I got
better and better and better and worked at it. So

(06:14):
that's all it is.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
And I always see it the reels that you know,
somebody's like sixty seven years old and they started lifting
wage two years ago and they look fucking pretty good,
you know. And I'm like, well, I guess it's never
lated to anybody, for anybody honestly to take care of
your health. So whatever, you know, I guess a spectrum
that you're on, whether you're an athlete or you're not,
or you're just starting, or you're like I hate gyms
and I hate working out. I think that's okay. I

(06:37):
think there's movement for everybody to be done. So it's
not being at a gym we're talking about, or you know,
sprinting or being like crazy athlete. It's really we're talking
about movement in general to really everything I'm reading. There's
a couple of doctors that I you know, follow, okay,
And the crazy part is how much they talk about movement,

(06:59):
Like how don't your brain activity like for you to
not get all zeimersion, for you to not have dementia,
for you to be you know, pretty let's say good
in your own brain is activity movement? I should say, right.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Omit is huge. I wish people would get dive into
how important that is and why we're such a six
society now compared to fifty sixty seven years ago, and
nobody correlates the stuff together Now some people are, but
a lot of people just want to just be like
blow it off. No, there's a reason. There's a study
that just came out that said thirty you could reduce
your cold or flu or virus or whatever symptoms in

(07:35):
the winter by thirty to fifty percent if you got
out at least five days a week for a twenty
minute brisk walk. Now, think about that. Nobody goes outside
in the cold, especially we're going to have all this
cold weather coming up beyond. I mean, people are all
scared of it because we adapted our brains to think that, oh,
I can't go out because I might get X, Y
and Z frostbit. All you got to do is put
more clothes on, you get out and your walk, and

(07:56):
you'd watch I goent out for a hike. I go
out a hike, doesn't matter if it's two degrees one
hundred degrees out to go off for a hike once
twice a week. I'm always warm by the time I'm
get done. You know, it doesn't matter how cold it is,
I'm still warm because that's how the body reacts. It
actually warms itself up. But that's a perfect study. Everybody's
sick all the time everyone, and you can count on
now nowadays you're all the people that I know always

(08:18):
are sick. Each year. I got sick. I got sick.
Why you're not supposed to get sick. It's matters so.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Right, And there are so many people that I hear
that they're sick, like like I'm sick, and they've been
there was sick like three weeks ago or a month ago, whatever,
And I'm wondering, like why people do get sick so often?
And and really activity and nourishment obviously, how you're going
to treat your body to eat and your activity is huge.
And I went last week or a couple of days ago,
and I shoveled just because the guy that was supposed

(08:46):
to shovel the place didn't come.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
So I went.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Out and shovel and it was really really cold. I
mean I mean really cold. Now, I didn't think I
was going to go shovel, so I had my heavy
coat on but no gloves, right, and I shoveled away,
and oh my gosh, I think I honestly felt my
hand was gonna fall off, Like I'm thinking it's gonna
fall off. It's absolutely like it was really rock solid frozen,

(09:11):
and I'm like, you know, but at the same time,
even though it you know, it burned it. It was
so bad that I felt like, honestly, I thought my
I was gonna lose my hand. But at the same time,
and this might be a sick, part of me, I
was like, yeah, this feels good. Like It's like part
of me was like this really felt good me shoveling
and you know, get it ready everything, but my hand
was hurting. But then I came inside and I tried

(09:33):
to warm it up. But I mean, part of me
was in pain, to tell you the truth, but the
other part of me was kind of pretty happy that
it was able to do that, that I was able
to shovel, that was able to be okay with it
and have that kind of activity to do it right.
I think that's that's a pride that I think people
out there should have. I have an employee and she's
absolutely wonderful. I think she's like seventy five or but

(09:55):
seventy six something like that, believe it or not. She
wants to work and she's amazing. But you know, up
until like years ago, and she did it last year.
I think she shovels her own driving and does everything.
And I'm like, I don't know if you I don't
know if I do. I don't think I want you
to do that, like what if you slip and fall?
But part of me is like, well, I think she
should do it, because that's really what's keeping her, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah, I mean, let's be honest. How many people do
you know that retire and when they retire, all of
a sudden their health drops off dramatically big time. Well
why because there's no purpose? Number One, they lose sight
of what keeps them going. They don't move as much,
and that's a huge problem in our society. So I
look at a couple of people. My father's one of them.
He's still going at eighty five, eighty six, and you

(10:37):
talk about your father, he's still moving. Those guys keep going,
they don't stop. And yet the health problems, yes, do
they have some here and there, Yes, but they're minimal
compared to what other people are dealing with at thirty
years old, at forty years old. So there's a huge correlation.
We have to start nailing these things together and people
have to start waking up that it's as simple as
getting up and moving twenty to thirty minutes a day.

(11:00):
Go outside. I understand it's cold, I understand it it
stinks sometimes, but getting out walking is one of the
greatest things you can do. It's simple.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
People are not underestimate walking all the time. You know,
all the time, and you know this is definitely the
time to really If you're like, well it's too cold
to do anything, this is absolutely the time to really
focus on how you want your future self and your
summer to be right. I don't talk about summer bodies
or anything like that. I'm really talking about you, whether
you're undershot or whatever you're doing to get ready for
like look forward to something. If summer is the time

(11:30):
your vacation coming up, make this be the time that
you don't do some crash something or you know, skin
hanging and not keeping your muscle mass. Stuff that's out
there to it the right way, you know, go to
my trimline dot com book of free chat. We could
talk about anything, whether you want to do movement. Obviously,
nutrition is the key and for you to be able
to do the right things the right way to get

(11:51):
ready for summer. We're going to take a break and We're.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Right back now back to the My trim Line Radio
show with Nadia here on news radio WHB five eighty.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Tell him welcome back, and thank you so much for
listening on this beautiful, wonderful weekend. I'm sure you guys
are all enjoying it staying in possibly I don't know,
going out or whatever you're doing, but absolutely careful. Is
the weekend that you need to bundle up and be
very very careful if you're just tuning in. I have
the wonderful coach Brex here, So thank you so much

(12:22):
for being here. I really appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
My pleasure.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Thank you every time you and I talk, and you
know so our j and I are pretty good friends,
right and obviously I know him since like twenty ten
and he's just we're just good friends. I love him.
He's a great guy inside and out. And he always
like when I get passionate about something, I talk about it,
he makes fun of me because he's like, you're just
like he goes You're just like this little like and

(12:46):
you know, on the break, we talked about something that
it just goes through me and I was like, and
I didn't know. I'm like, hey, I'm going to send
you something, and I kind of believe you think the
way I do, right, because I can't imagine you're not
thinking the way I do. Just how we think about
things and we're talking about totally different subject because it
drives me insane. Is calorie deficit? Right? So a lot

(13:08):
of times on many groups, there's a lot of groups
out there for working out, for losing weight, for weight loss,
for wellness at the gyms, the conversation at the gyms,
I mean whatever, I hear that word, I hear the
word calorie deficit, and I just want to It just
goes through me. It is like as a scientist when

(13:29):
people say that in calorie counting, it just goes through
me because calorie not our calories are equal number one
and number two calorie counting or micros and macros. I
don't know, do you believe in micros and macros?

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I think there's a point to it. Yeah, Like I'll
be honest, I don't get into it so much. Yeah,
me neither, because I'm not I'm not well versed in
all the nutrition stuff like you are and my wife,
so I kind of don't always follow it as well
as I should have. So I kind of not go
dive deep into that kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yeah, but you don't tell your people that working out
to go into a calorie deficit. I mean, I just
feel like that's like it's like an oxymoron on calori
deficit and go what got really really hard that to me?
And anybody telling you that they have no clue what
they're talking about, like you absolutely should run away find
somebody else, because it just is awful if you're working

(14:22):
out a good bit. And I work out, you know,
I really enjoy my working out and I've honed in
on it in the last two years. It took a
long time. It was off and on, off and on,
off and on, and the last I'm gonna say three years,
I've really honed in on it, meaning I regularly work
out anywhere from two times a week to say, you know,
four times a week. If it's five, I'm pretty thrilled.
So so that's how I think about honing it in.

(14:44):
And anytime I've always done this, the last thing I've
talked about is eating it or think about is eating less.
Like I honestly I think I've told you this. I
eat like a two hundred and fifty pounds man, Okay,
And that's no joke. I mean, do you and I
know the nutrition respect of it, But in your sense
and which you're very good at, is the fuel aspect

(15:04):
of it. Like if you're doing calorie deficit, what kind
of fuel are you getting?

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Correct? Correct? So I think you're spot on with that
is most people don't understand how you have to fuel
your body. And I think that's where you come in
people who understand that part of it is you can't
put water in a car and expect it to go.
And that's what I think people sometimes do, is they
don't feed the machine that's your body to optimize and

(15:30):
be at the best level. So people do feed it.
They either feed the junk stuff that's not going to
work and they'll still move, or they don't feed it
enough so it never gives you what you have. The
object is for each individual figure out where they're at.
And I always talk to people. I said, the worst
thing I did was I started eating raw vegetables broccoli
and carrots, had them all the time. Now some people

(15:51):
can have them, I can't. So I started doing test
on myself and I said, I over this three year,
three month period, I'm going to figure out what you know,
if I can take this stuff in. Well, guess what,
two and a half months in, my gut was destroyed,
so it really did damage to me and that respect.
So I got off it. Guess what happened. All of
a sudden, I started to feel well. So I think
that's what people don't do, is they just listen. Well,

(16:11):
that's supposed to be healthy for me, or that's supposed
to but they're not knowing who they truly are, so
they don't know what their body can take in, what
it can how it should be fueled, like you said,
and how much you need. Most people either underfuel or
overfuel correct and they're not where they are because they
don't take time to listen and feel their body. You
should know, like I know, broccoli and carrots that are

(16:32):
roll do not work for me. Even though you're healthy, right,
everybody tells you they're healthy, they don't work. Okay, Now
if I cook them, totally different thing because it changes
the makeup of them. But I figured that stuff out
because I listen to my body, and that's what you
teach people. Listen to your body, you know, but your
body will tell you. So if it doesn't fuel right
after you eat something, guess what, there's something wrong. Such

(16:54):
as people who go an eat clean, they eat great,
right and they're feeling great. Then all of a sudden
they go to five guys or bast through they eat
and they all tell you the same thing. What I say, dude,
I thought so bad. But yet you can have that
guy who goes all the time. He never feels feel bad.
So that's the whole thing. The body is telling you
all the time what to do. So if you're you're
not getting low enough level, you know you're not eating enough,

(17:16):
you're gonna have problems. Now you might not know it
because you think this is how I short, I feel.
Increase it, see how you feel just a little bit.
Take understand exactly.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Old ee mentality that if you eat less you're going
to lose weight, right, and and we really need to
get away from a lot of old diet mentalities, right
and on top top of it, you really do need
to eat to burn fat. You need to eat to
lose weight. And you know, with with these shots happening
and people not eating, I just don't even understand it.

(17:47):
Like as human beings, we really need to use our
brains right to be like, Okay, I'm not eating all
day or I'm eating very little all day, and I'm
either they're other eating heavy in the evening still or
I'm not eating that much in the evening because they
can't eat that much. But you should, you know, psychologically,

(18:07):
think about so I'm not really fueling my body. I'm
not really putting that much things in Like logically, think, Okay,
I'm losing a lot of weight by not even fueling
my body in my day. So that doesn't add up
like there's something missing in there because of this medication
or the shot that you're taking that it's suppressing your
appetite so much, or food noise is gone. You know,

(18:28):
food noise being one hundred percent gone is not a
good thing. I love my food noise, you know, because
I'm hungry after I eat, after I work out, or
as the day goes on. And I actually really like
to think about food. Everyone's like I always think about food. Well,
you know what, I like to think about food because
I really do. And the same as I love I
tell this to people all the time, the same as
I love thinking about French fries and having it, but

(18:49):
I more so think about I really enjoy and love
eating healthy food or eating or thinking about it should
not be something that we think it's a bad like
it's a taboo. And they have made it be that way,
you know, the shots and the pills and whatever. They've
made it to be that way. Oh, you know what.
The food noise is gone. You know, you don't you

(19:10):
don't have to eat that much anymore. We've made it
like food is such a horrible thing for us to
stay away from. And that is truly what feels our body.
I mean, the car thing is I mean, if you
give it bad you know, you don't give it enough gas.
You know it doesn't do well. You give it bad gas,
meaning you know you're eighty seven percent or whatever, it's
going to run differently. And our body is Jesus, you know,

(19:33):
fifty billion times more complex than you know a car,
and we are totally fueling it with the wrong things.
And you know, I saw this, but I said, I
sent this to you. This is the other I'm gonna
leave it with that. I follow this doctrine, he goes.
The worst weight loss advice in the world is arguably
the most common advice given by mainstream dietitians and medical professionals.

(19:53):
They tell you to lower your calories, which to me
is calorie deficit right, and exercise portion control. But when
you do that, especially repeatedly, your body adapts by slowing
down your metabolism. I truly believe that, like one hundred percent.
First of all, people always worry about their persian control.
They're like, you know what I eat healthy, But I

(20:13):
think my persion control is insane. You know what I
eat healthy. I know my person control is insane. Okay,
I know that, and I fully know there's nothing wrong
with it. Like I last night, I bought these really
sorloined beautiful medallions steak, you know, and I haven't had
steak in it such a while. I'm like, I really
want one. So I think there were four ounces. I

(20:34):
haven't weighed anything in a long time, but I swear
to you, I ate that. And I'm like, uh, I
think that just took a tiny little corner of my stomach, like,
and you know, I don't wait that much. And I
made two of them. I had to have two of them.
I had a salad and then I have my broccoli
like it had a big bowl of salad I had
probably about, I don't know, eight or eight ounces minimum

(20:55):
of broccoli, and I had two of those, which I
think it woul end up being eight ounce as a steak.
And you know, I felt fretty satisfied at that point.
So if somebody my weight, okay that I weigh about
one hundred and twelve hundred and fifteen pounds and a
woman in her fifties, If I'm eating like that and
I'm getting leaner, people should really be thinking, okay, wait
a minute, I'm two hundred and fifty pounds, I'm two

(21:17):
hundred and thirty pounds woman or a man. They should
be eating to feel their body and not cutting portions down.
And he goes to continue to say this makes it
incredibly difficult to lose weight later in life and leaves
you constantly hungry and craving food. Worse, if you're on
a low calorie, high carb diet, you're consistently increasing insulin,
which makes it impossible to tap into your body's fat

(21:39):
reserves for energy. The real solution is to lower carbohydrates,
which allows insulin to drop, unlocking your body's fat reserves
as a superior food source. Yeah, spot on, and I
do that honestly and naturally and now, and I don't
know how you're eating. Is you probably eat pretty because
you're pretty lean, and but you do eat a good bit.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
I eat a good bit, you know what I mean.
There's some stuff that I probably shouldn't eat, you know.
Like I said, I do a lot of testing on
myself to see what works and then base it on
that and then boom, go to the next thing. So
there are some things probably shouldn't eat, but I try
to learn from that. I don't think people really take
it in, and that's what I think the difference is
is you know what you like, you know, and you
know when you eat this, how good you feel. But

(22:23):
if you eat X, you don't. There's people who enjoy
stuff that they should not be taking in and they
know they feel like jump, but they still take it in.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
I think that's part of human nature and the should
and I always think there's nothing wrong with that, right.
So if you're listening out there and you're like, you
know what, I really want to get ready for the summer.
I really want to come off the shots, I want
to transition off of them, you want to go on them.
Whatever you're thinking, and you want to get some activity in,
go to my trim line dot com book a fifteen
minute treat, a free chat. That's all it is. You

(22:52):
talk to me, we see if we're a good fit,
and we'll go from there. I'm going to take a
break and I'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Welcome back.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
This is the Line Radio Show with Nadia here on
news radio doubl HB five eighty.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Hell well, come back, and thank you so much for listening.
If you're just tuning in, I don't know if you're
able to get anywhere out today or not, but if
you're just tuned in, thank you so much. I have
the wonderful coach Brecks here. Just love it. Your passion
is really contagious. And anytime I talk to you and
make me get all like about things, you know. So
so everybody out there listening, I hope you really feel
motivated to make a change and learn. This is all

(23:27):
this is about. Okay, we're not trying to sell you anything. Obviously,
I own trim Line, and you know you do sports
and your wife teaches the you know, mainly women for classes, right,
But honestly, what we want to do is educate you.
We want to educate you on all the fallacies or
confusions that are out there. And we just got done
talking about calorie deficit or eating less to lose weight,

(23:50):
which is absolutely the wrong thing to do, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
And we really love to educate people so much that
we have another event coming up. We did one last
month December and December, Yeah, we did want in December.
That was our first one. That was our little you know,
toes in the water testing. We have one coming up
March first, which is a Sunday twelve o'clock at cross

(24:14):
Point Church which is in Colonial off a Colonial Road. Yeah,
and it starts at twelve And you don't have to
be part of church, it's just a venue that we're
using with Obviously, Pastor Dave that runs the cross Point
Church is a wonderful, wonderful man. If you don't know him,
my gosh, he's like the greatest man in the world,
absolutely fantastic. So you don't have to be you know,
you don't have to be part of a church. You don't.

(24:35):
You know, we're not recruiting to be in the church.
We're not going to be part of are what we're
doing for our business. This is just absolute education that
starts at twelve o'clock March first, Sunday, and you know
there's gonna be food, right, there's some food and drinks,
not alcohol at noon. We shouldn't start that early, but
there's gonna be other drinks there. And obviously we're going

(24:56):
to talk about what we know best. I'm gonna talk
about nutrition, and you're gonna be talking about movement.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
I'm gonna talk about actually injuries this time, how to
overcome injuries quicker, and nutrition's part of it. So that's
where you come into play. I think we're huge, but
I want to talk about why the human body is
breaking down at a much faster rate than at any
time before. I've seen so many athletes that are hurt
catastrophic injuries, and what I mean by catastrophy doesn't mean

(25:21):
like they're going to die, but to the extent of
like ACL's achilles, these things that are laying people up
for a good year, but not only that, but also
everyday people. Why are they getting hurt? Why we have
to get all these surgeries? Why do we have to
do all these things? And there's ways to get around
it if we just take the time. And that's what
I want to get into break it down for you.
I went through this and the doctors were saying, you

(25:44):
need surgery, you need this, you need this and this.
I figured it out how to how to fix this
stuff naturally, and I got better and I feel better
than ever before, sort of like what you were talking
about with the weight loss shots. If I don't have
a heart, I don't have a huge problem with that.
If you're learning how to eat properly, me too, working out,
doing all the things, not just accepting that as to

(26:05):
go to one because you said it earlier. You can't
be on this stuff forever. These are not natural things.
These are not things that God created. We created them
to help us. Then it's our job. Okay, that was
the kickstart. Now what am I going to do? Just
like with anything out there, nutrition, I need to kickstart something.
I got to get on the right path. And if
we can start doing this and get in people's mindset

(26:25):
to get back to how we should live, not how
modern society is living, but how we should live, we
can live much longer, better, healthier and more productive lives.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
And you know you're absolutely that's what I say. I said,
I'm not against the weight lost shots. But that's going
to be something that's going to start you, you know,
to maybe you've been struggling. It's just mentally in your
brain that doesn't go away. Great if you want to
start with it, fine, but eventually at some point you
got to really learn nutrition and for your body. But
also learning nutrition is not you can you know, google

(26:55):
and learn nutrition if you want to. The difference is
is what you are doing mentally in your head right,
nobody can. It's a rewiring of your brain. If you
don't rewire your brain on how you're gonna look at
food and your emotional ties to it, your whether it's
sadness or happiness or you know, you're talking about celebrations,
you're talking about depression, that you're gonna you're gonna always

(27:18):
have that connection to food. Once you stop the shots,
whatever they call about their quieting, that noise, it's gonna
be gone, right, and you have to ask yourself, do
I want to be on this for the rest of
my life? I mean, it is a drug, it really
is and has side effects. It really does which we
don't even know have to side effects, will know in
about a couple of years or something like that. But

(27:40):
you have to think, you know, just logically in your head,
do you want to do something like that forever? And
on top of it to be okay, even if you're
doing that, put your nutrition with it. I mean that
to me is just a no brainer.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Right.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
If I don't eat all day, I honestly I don't
even know how people don't eat all day. And if
somebody doesn't shake one shake a day or you know,
I had a client last week where she became a client,
but she did up TVA. It's like you do shakes
all day and you do a dinner and that's all
it is, Like you do two shakes whatever, just liquids
and something like that. And I'm like, and she's also
good amount away, but gain it all back. And her

(28:14):
skin was the issue, you know. And number one, we
have skin season coming around a corner. It might not
feel like we're going to see that this weekend, but
skin season meaning summer, is going to be around the corner.
So you have to think, when you take these shots
and you're losing too much weight, what's happening to your skin?
Because when we lose weight fast, one big sign is
we're losing our muscle mass and is that not true.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
That's one of the big things. Yes, and that's that's
not a good thing at all.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
No.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Also, mass helps actually burn fat helps burned to calories
and stuff like that. So when you lose that, then
you get yourself in a lot of trouble.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
And your strength, I mean your strength, your bone strength,
Your strength comes from you having muscle and being able
to have strength in there. I mean when people fall
and you break things very quickly, there's a reason for that.
So you know, you shouldn't be in your fifties or
sixties and constantly in pain like you said, or having
surgery or shoulder issues or knee issues. I mean the
reason that's happening is how you're feeling your body, which

(29:10):
could be inflating, total inflammation, or you're just not feeling
you enough, you're not giving yourself enough food, or when
you are doing it, you're going way overboard on things
that you shouldn't be doing. So it is a beautiful
science that obviously have a degree in that. I think
it's not that hard to put together, believe it or not,
It really isn't. I mean, seventeen years I own the business,
It is not that hard to understand your nutrition in

(29:32):
your body, and part of it is you must eat.
I mean you must eat to be able to lose
your weight and keep your strength. And when we lose
our skin, I mean, there's a lot of people that
are taking the shots that their skin is really not
in a good place. I mean, I know somebody that's
absolutely two people that are getting surgery for their skin
to be cut off, right, And let me tell you

(29:52):
it's not cheap, because that's something that your insurance is
not going to cover. So when you talk about so
the event coming up March first, so because much first
at Crosspoint Church and Colonial Park area, it starts at
twelve o'clock, and obviously you're going to be talking about injuries.
And you know, I know a lot of people that
are around my age are even considerably younger, that they're

(30:13):
getting a lot of like rotator cough for knee issues
or stiffness, and they went to physical therapy for like
I'm going to say, one of them went to physical
theory of three months and it didn't get better, and
they're telling her that she might need surgery, and they
give her a shot and her shoulder and she was
fine for two days, but then I mean, how does
that sound to you? Is that something?

Speaker 2 (30:34):
I mean?

Speaker 3 (30:34):
To me? That's like a lot a lot of stuff
that's not working correct.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
So a lot of stuff that happens to our bodies
is from the past. So a lady who came in
and she said, my backwards. So when I watched her walk,
I said, did you ever have that ankle issue? She goes,
she thought about it. She goes, well, I sprained my
ankle twenty years ago. I remember twenty years ago. And
I said to her, I said, interesting, I said, you
favor that side, so you're compensating, so you're compensational patterns

(31:01):
do not take over right away. This is the problem
that people think. They think that everything has to happen instantly.
That's not how the human body reacts. Over time, though,
the body compensates, and then what happens Then it starts
to go all out of whack. And when it's out
of whack, that's when you start to get the pain.
So you got to get it back without surgery. Most
things can be done without shots. Now here's the difference

(31:21):
with surgery. Go in, you get it done, you go
to rehaber in pain. Then you think you get better Granted,
I agree with you. The other way is harder, but
it's more beneficial in the long run to the body.
So you're shortening the lifespan because of what you just did.
This way you can actually preserve it much much longer,
but it takes time. But then you get to start
to know your body. Like I never knew this stuff.
These colleges never taught me any of this stuff. This

(31:43):
is stuff I learned, researched on my own, and then
did testing on myself when my back and my hip
were all messed up, when I can barely get out
of a car, I figured all this stuff out. This
has now helped me help other people because now I know, well, okay,
this is what's going on, this is what happened to me, Okay,
this has to happen. Okay, And then I could figure
the things out for the people and they're like, dude,
I don't have any pain anymore. We have people that

(32:04):
come in all the time, Audiom that say, hey, I
have this kneeping. One of our good buddies, Tom Yes
came in and he was and they were talking about, oh,
I might have to get surgery on my meniscus. They
wanted to do surgery on his miniscus, and I said,
you don't have a problem with your meniscus. He said,
what are you talking about? To have pain here? I said,
let's fix it. So we did a couple of things.
Two weeks later he goes and this is three years ago.
We did something. He has not had any pain ever

(32:25):
come back. But yet they were ready to jump and
do surgery right away with him.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
That's the I mean, that's the thing. And and our
buddy Tom, he's doing really good. I mean he's been
working with you for a long time. Tom Russell. Obviously
we know you know, no time was Tom Russell I
were talking about it. But and you know for surgery,
because the answer sometimes is a lot surgery, right, And
and surgery does take a long time for you to recover, right.
First of all, you're going under under a knife or whatever.

(32:50):
Second of all, there's obviously a surgery involved and for
you to be able to heal from it and go
to a physical therapy. So that is not a that
is not a quick fix. So the way you're talking
about it, if you kind of do it naturally and
you focus on how do you do that? So being
that he was going to have surgery, and it wasn't
what happened that changed that for him to get better.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
So what we did was we had to look at
what was wrong. So he said, Dave, I have here.
So then I did a couple of assessments on him,
seeing where certain things were tight, certain things weren't working properly,
and then we address those situations and then that's what
he started to feel better. This is how the human
body works. It's a constant, revolving process of I'm not moving.
What do I need to get back to my holistic state?

(33:35):
And I talked about this in our one we did
at my place. Your body's in the perfect state when
it's born. We break it somewhere along the line. Now
our job is to get it back to that straight line.
Most of us never do, so we continue to fall
off the path. We might feel okay for a while,
but then eventually breaks. And this is what I'm seeing
more and more with people, and they're getting frustrated because

(33:56):
their only route then they think is surgery. And some
people might need I'll be honest with you, you might
need that. I'm not gonna lie. Not everything can be
fixed naturally because it's broken down so bad. But there's
so many things if you caught it early enough. And
this is where adults, this is where pob bothers me
the most are adults, not so much with kids, but
with adults. Is if your body's in pain, there's a
reason you don't ignore it. You don't. You wouldn't ignore

(34:17):
it from your kid. If your kid's throwing up or
not feeling, what, what do you do right away? You
take care of them? Then why aren't you going to
do the same thing yourself. You have pain for a reason.
It's because your body is screaming to you. Finally you
have not fixed me. I'm telling you to fix me,
do it now. But they're not doing that. And then
they look for the pills and stuff like that to
get rid of the pain. Well, you're not fixing the problem,

(34:38):
you're just masking the pain. So we got to get
back to a route of understanding the body, getting people
who understand it the natural way, and then getting our
bodies to move the way they were supposed to move,
not the way we think they move. Or some guy
out there, you know who's making millions of dollars off you,
tells you to move. You got to move the way
God made us. And you got to think back to

(34:59):
the beginning. Our number one thing is survival. That's all
the body knows. It wants to survive. All of that
is what you talked about, or is healing and adapting.
I heal an adapt through food, I heal an adapt
through movement. Once you understand this, and I really mean this,
if you can break this down and you dive deep
into it, meditator on a prey on it, you will
understand how to take care of the body. It's not hard,

(35:19):
but it takes work. But you have to understand it.
The body should not be in pain. It's in pain
because you did something to it, not me, not the
guy down the road. You did something. You have to
figure out how to get it back or get advice
on how to get it back. But think about naturally
how our bodies are made hunters and gathers. If you
sit too much, you don't think the body is going
to break apart.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Absolutely, I mean they think sitting is nothing. That's probably
one of the worst things in the world. And if
you are like you don't even know how to go
about this. But that's why there's professionals out there to
do it. We go get our oil change, we get
our tired change. We get somebody to come and change
our air conditioning or put our heat in. God forbod
who heat. Now, we're going to get somebody to come
and do it right. So we do pay people that

(36:00):
are professionally to do things, and that's really what you
want to seek. I'm not saying come to trim Line.
I'm not saying go see Coach Breck, but I'm saying
do something. If your body is not feeling right, why
would you want to live in it like that for
the rest of your life? So definitely go to mytrimline
dot com book a fifteen minute chat. Whether you want
to lose weight, what do you want to go onto shots,
what do you want to transition off of it? Or
you just want to do one hundred percent nutrition and

(36:21):
put movement into your life. Go to my trimline dot
com book that fifteen minute chat. It's just a talk
with me and we'll go from there. We're gonna take
a break and we'll be right back.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Let's get back to the my trim Line Radio show
with Nadia on US Radio double HP five eighty.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Hell then welcome back and thank you for listening. I
hope you're enjoying this amazing weekend, very interesting, and I
hope you're safe, and I hope you're warm, and I
hope you even go out a little bit. I think
that'd be a little bit for fun in this kind
of weekend. And if you're just tuning in or you've
been listening, I have the wonderful Coach brecks On. Thank
you so much again for your time for being here.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
You make it go by fast and interesting and exciting,
and that makes me feel very very good. And you know,
we always want to learn something and we want to
educate you. And this is really what it's all about
and one of the things that we talked about. Obviously
a lot of things, but I do want you to
put on your calendar March first. It's a Sunday at
twelve o'clock at cross Point Church. It's off a col

(37:19):
in your park. And again this is too it's just
a free seminar. We're not charging anything. You come there.
There's food there. This for education for you to be
around like minded people. And it's not about you joining
the church. It's not about you joining Trimline it's not
about joining explosives. It's just about you learning and show up. Honestly,

(37:40):
it's free. There's no catch.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
You know.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
This isn't like what there's time shares, right, And the
only reason I'm even thinking of that is because I
won in the mail last week to go down to Florida,
and I'm like two hundred and nine nine dollars for
four days. Where's the catch here? And that's exactly what
it was. It was a time share thing. I've never
done a timeshare, but it's not like that. So this
is absolutely the opposite. It's for you to learn. You

(38:03):
can ask me obviously, meet me, Meet coach Brax, meet
pastor Dave, and ask any questions. Whether you know. It's body,
mind and soul. That's really what we've been talking about, buddy,
mind and soul. And you have to have those three aligned, right,
That's really I think that's really what makes a big difference.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Well, if it's not, you can't have I see, you
can't have complete healing. You'll never healing, You'll never be
where you really should be. All three have to be
in align with each other, and many of us focus
just on one or two. Once you put all three together.
It's amazing what you can accomplish.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
It's amazing you can tell the difference in people who
have them all three. You know, I think I'm working
on my third, like the sole part of it, right,
I've been really working on that. And I'm going to
say in the last like six months, you know, and
you would think, well, how hard are you working on it?
In a sense, it's not, honestly, to connect to your
you know, your soul, your higher being to it's not

(38:57):
as easy as people think it is, right. I mean,
I guess it comes easy for some people, you know,
the very spiritual or they you know, very religious or whatever,
but it really it is hard for me just because
where I'm from right, so, and you know, whatever's going
on in your on right now is obviously very tough
on my family here because we have family back there.

(39:17):
But you know, when you when you're in a religion
that really treats women horrible, like absolutely horrible when I
was there, it's kind of hard to kind of connect
to religion again, right, And I think that's really where
I've been what I've been really focusing on in the
last six months, because I think I got the body
in mind pretty much under well, fairly under control. Let's

(39:38):
say I'm always working at it. It's it's always working
at it. I feel like people think that if they
work at it for a little bit, don't like, well,
I should get it. And then then when they do
get it, they stop working at it and they think that, well,
why did I lose it? I had it right? I mean,
does that feel like that for you?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
I mean it's the most classic example of why people
start a gym or go to gym, or start exercise
routine or whatever, and then they get to a certain point, Hey,
this is where I want to get and then they
stop and you're like, why just stop? Well I got
to my point. I'm like, okay, I'm going to see
in six months. And what happens is they regress. And
it happens all the time. And you probably deal with

(40:16):
a lot with people who weight loss. They go on
that crazy weight loss stuff or whatever they're doing, not
even just the shots, but just some crazy diet. And
then what happens when they stop that diet within a
couple weeks and they usually put more back on and
they have no idea because they never discipline themselves to
continue what you're talking about, continuing to do it correctly.
You know, understanding that it's a lifelong journey till the

(40:37):
time you die. You have to continue to work this.
This isn't just a two week thing or a two
year thing. This is constantly trying to get better. I
always talk about leveling up. You have to continue to
level up. You have to level up the soul, you
have to live up the mind, you have to level
up the body. If you continue to do those, the
chances of you having major problems are very slim. It's

(40:58):
when we don't do that, then we start to get
the diseases or the dementia or whatever, and our you know,
the outside world starts to fall apart because we lose
sight of those things, and we don't.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
Handle stress as well either. I really believe if we're
not whole within ourselves, like you know, meaning healthy and
comfortable on our own body and our own mind, because
those are two places I always said at there are
two places people live, especially as women. We really live
in our head, right and we and we overthink things.
We do really do that. So the key is those
are the places that you're going to be living in.

(41:28):
I think it's a no brainer to take care of it.
And when people are like, oh, it's just I'm not
constantly going to be working at it, you know what
you're I don't know. I've seen that saying that it's
all work. Whether you work at wody work at it,
you're going to be healthy, or you work at it,
you're going to be unhealthy, no matter what you're working
at it. Right, So either way, the time is going
to go by and how you're going to work at

(41:49):
it is the end result of what's going to happen
in a month and a year and three years from now.
So if you work at it, everything's work in my mind, Okay,
Like if I want to get up to go to work,
obviously it's my work. But I love what I do,
so that doesn't feel like work. But believe me, it's
still works certain days. And in you being unhealthy, like
when you're unhealthy, you're in pain. I mean I know
people that they're working hard at whatever they do because

(42:12):
they're in pain. I mean that's work. You know, whether
you're about to have surgery or whether you're doing these
weight loss shots and you're looking in the mirror, you're
like your skin is hanging or whether you're I mean,
there's work that people do because they're in pain, or
they're financially not in a good place. I mean, whatever
it is, it's still a lot of hard work, but
all based on negative outcomes of whatever. You're trying to

(42:33):
put out a fire. So why wouldn't you still put
the work in, start off slow to really make those
situations a little better. It's still work, but you actually
are going to be able to get some things out
of it, you know. I constantly I said this to
a potential client. I was talking to her on the phone.
I literally told her to go think about things, because

(42:55):
I think her mind. Anyway that talks to me on
the phone to get to get information, I think they don't.
They really don't realize that that's not it's not how
I gave it, and places your column like that it's
going to be how much and you're going to lose
the weight blah blah blah. I don't do that. When
you call me, I want to know what you tried.
I want to know what's important to you. I want
to know why you want to lose your weight. I

(43:15):
want to know why you want to do it healthy
like I really have a long conversation and one for
people to think about it, not just to be like, hey,
I want to lose weight and this is the goal.
I want to be at this the number. I go
deeper in my conversations with people. And I think they're
a little bit shocked by that, and they most people
really love it. They want to set the console. So
but I told her to go think about it because,

(43:36):
you know, I said, as I've been doing this for
such a long time that as I'm getting older, I'm
getting better at it, you know, and what women in
her mid fifties totally ment apausal, you know, you know,
just like a lot of issues that we women have,
say that the older you get, you're getting better at it.
And but that is a possibility for most people. It's

(43:58):
not just that I'm unique, you know. So I say,
the difference between somebody that's healthy and they take care
of Sunday look good is priority. You made yourself a priority,
You give yourself time to do it, and you took effort,
You put effort entertaining care of yourself. I mean, don't
you find that to be really I don't try and
make it simple, but I think that's really it, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
Well, I think that it is simple to something your
effort is huge, But it's consistency. I mean, people just
aren't consistent. They're either consistently bad at everything they do,
you know, because they don't stay consistent, or they consistently
get what they need to get done. And why wouldn't
you want to be the best version of yourself, not
just for yourself, but for your family. You know, why
don't we Why don't we have a mentality of that

(44:38):
in this society where hey, I want to be there
for my kids, and then I want to be there
for my grandkids to see them play, to do whatever,
be able, to roll around and throw things with them,
and do the things that we were meant to do
to the day we die. We have this mentality in
this in our society because somebody told us somewhere along
line that as you age, you're supposed to slow down.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
I know, I don't crumpy, y, I don't understand that. Well,
my doctor said, at this age you really know you're fine.
I'm like, what, you don't have to be older and
be frumpy or not like your body or not. That
is who told us that as we get older.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
It's ridiculous and it's crazy because I see with men.
So when I talk to some men, you know, we
talk about testosterone and I say to them, I say, okay,
you know, we're your testosterone at and they're like here
and they're like, I'm in the range I'm supposed to be.
And I'm like, you're not in the range. And they're like,
what are you talking about? My doctor? I said, you're
in the range for today's man, but I'm talking about
fifty sixty years ago. You're not eywhere close to the range.

(45:32):
I said, you're way too low. I said, that's what
you got a base on. Why are you basing on
today's man. That's not how we were made. We're being
inundated with all these chemicals and things like that. That's
lowering it. But we need to start getting back to
where we should be. You can't always just agree like, oh, well,
these are the numbers I'm supposed to be. You have
to go back and educate yourself and saying, well, why
am I why the numbers now all of a sudden changed.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
Why they lowered the standards, And they lowered the standards
for a reason. Correct, And that's really where we stand,
we're in a place where you should educate yourself. You
should find out what works for you.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
First.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
March first. March first is the key to do it.
So again, it's at Crosspoint Church off a Colonia Park
Road from twelve o'clock. It's gonna be an hour. We're

We love to ask you, talk to you free. It's
absolutely free. So to keep that in mind that it's
absolutely free and any information you need. You're like, I

(46:28):
want to get my summer body ready, but get it healthy.
Come off the medication, come off the shots and do
it the right way. Go to mar troline dot com.
Book that free chat and again, March first, and thank
you so much. Good to for being here. Now you

safe and happy weekend.
