Speaker 2 (00:24):
Hello everyone, and happy Sunday to you and I hope
you're enjoying your weekend. So oh boy, this weather is
definitely something we're going to be talking about some positive
things obviously, but I do have the wonderful coach Brexs
here today.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Thank you so much for joining me. You know how
much I love that.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Please say hello, and you know, tell us what you
do and what are we be talking about somewhat today.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Yes, he First of all, I appreciate it. Thank you
so much for having me on.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
I'm honored and blessed to be on here. Yes, so
I train athletes primarily I've gotten in the last couple
of years working with people coming back from injuries and
trying to help mitigate those injuries. So we don't have
him later on in life and then also longevity stuff.
Try to get some of my clients that I work
with that are adults how to live longer, how to
live healthier, because I don't care. I don't call it lifespan.
I call it health span. How long can we have
(01:11):
our health span go for? And I like to see people,
you know, living up with our health span up till
one twenty one fifty. I know people think I'm crazy,
but that's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
You know, I was with my dad and I think
you and I we were talking about this. So I'm
very blessed to have my dad, and you know, God given,
he's going to be ninety three this August. And people
really know me and know me that I love my dad.
I'm very close to him. So it's funny how you
said that the one twenty one fifty and I was
with him, and I'm like, listen, Dad, and I always
say this, said, I want you to constantly keep thinking
(01:39):
in your head that you're going to be one hundred.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
You're going to be a hundred. He goes, oh, I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Know, I said, you know, I'm going to find out
who is the longest living So the long slaving person
I think was out of England or something like that,
but it was one hundred and twenty two years old,
and I think like sixty two days or something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Whatever. But and I said one hundred and twenty two.
That one hundred and twenty two.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
So that means now you have to think thirty ways
for you.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
To be like one hundred. He's like, oh my gosh, thirty.
I was like, yeah, would you imagine?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
So he's like ninety two, He's pretty freaking amazing, But
could you imagine like living another thirty years from that?
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Well, think about this and every single thing that I've researched,
all longevity, it all comes back to. Everybody talks about
food and talks about this, Well, that's all important, extremely important.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
The number two, the number top two things are purpose?
What are your purpose? And do you have the positive
mindset to think that way? If you have a positive
mindset that I'm going to live and I'm going to
live a healthy life, and you add that in with
what you do, why can't you live that long? I mean,
we go back to the Bible, and I read the
Bible a lot, and some of these guys lived in
there till nine hundred someone years and people say, well
(02:46):
that meant something different. No, it's because of how they live.
They're positive mindset, the purpose. And they did a study
on the people in Oknawa. Okinawa has the most centurions
the people who live over one hundred. Japan has is
the highest perup of people who live over one hundred.
And it's all because of purpose. And I think that's
what we forget here in this country. We get to
(03:07):
we I want to get to retirement, yes, which is
sixty sixty five, whatever it is, and that's and they're set.
And then you all of a sudden see people's health
go completely the opposite way when they should be enjoying it.
But they have no purpose anymore. So one of the
things that they said is they have people that are
eighty five ninety years old that are still crossing guards
over there. Their purpose is to make sure they get up,
(03:30):
make sure the kids get across the street so then
they can get to school safely or wherever they're going.
That's a purpose. So if they say if I'm not there,
if I'm not here, those kids aren't going to get there.
They have a purpose in a mindset, and I think
in America, we lost that.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
The mindset is everything.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I think that's what you're saying over there. If you
look at Japan, obviously, the mindset it's very very different.
Number One, they stretch, they do activity, they do taichi.
You know, people here think like it has to do
that hit glass and in that honestly stretching, you know,
and getting in the morning and you know, doing a
little bit of tai chi even because that's just really stretching,
(04:07):
I think, I mean a little bit. So purpose of
that is you keep yourself healthy, your mind healthy, so
it needs they're constantly doing something, like you said, And
like when we think about purpose here, we're just taught
so much that you know, you should be falling apart
by the age of sixty.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
You know you should. If you're eighty, forget it.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
If you're living to you're eighty, you're really lucky. If
you're not on a single medication. Look, if you're on
three medications, you're considered to be really lucky. If you're
eighty years old. Like how we think about aging is
just really just backwards here. And my goal is and
obviously God given right, if I get hit by a bus,
I get hit by a bus I know, but I'm
really trying to see if I'm a longevity of living
(04:50):
to live it healthy, because you can live long and
be absolutely miserable, and who wants that.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I mean, that's how people see it.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
They're like, well, I don't want to live till I'm
ninety because you know, they're already in pain and have
issues and whatever when they're sixty. They can't even imagine
living till ninety. The quality life in their head is
just not good.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
I agree one hundred percent. I think that's one of
the biggest things that I try to stress with my
clientele on people that I talk to, is why do
you want to live like that? Well, you know, I
get to the point, like you said, I'm seventy years
old and everything hurts, so, you know, eighties hard. I
don't want to live in another ten years. That's because
of the way you let yourself get to Most things
in life, and probably ninety nine percent of them are
(05:31):
caused by us. We try to say it's an outside
for well, it's my genes, it's my genetic We always
want to blame it on something else. If you really
dive into genes and genetics, they play a very minor role. Yes,
what I look like, things like that, but they play
a very minor role. If you actually know what your
gene is, and you know they're called genomics, you can
actually break a lot of those things and actually live
(05:51):
a much healthier life. And that's what I did. I
got into a course on DNA study, so I took
my DNA, not one of those twenty three and me.
We talked about this before, and I got deep into
what is wrong? Where are my genes that I should
have all these issues? Why I should have all these
issues already considering what I have my jeans are. But
what I did was and I started to focus on
what can I do now to make sure these things
(06:13):
don't hurt me later on in life. You know, I
had a heart condition to when it's eighteen years old,
you know what I mean. The doctors say, hey, if
you get to thirty, that'd be great, you know what
I mean. But I changed a bunch of those different
things to make sure that. Guess what, I'm still here.
And now I have a massive purpose because I have
two young daughters, and I have an awesome wife, the
best wife in the world, and they're they're my purpose.
Do you know what I mean? They're the purpose that
(06:33):
God put me here on this earth to do, you know,
to provide and protect for them. And that's what my
job is. And I think that's what people miss. They
start to lose it because the kids move out, and
then they think, why am I here? There's a reason
you're here. Live it to the full. It's not you know,
crippled or sitting you know, drugged up because you have
to take eighteen mets because you have five different chronic diseases.
We don't need to be like that.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
And again when people do say it runs in my family,
I'm like, I really think not eating healthy and being
overweight runs in your family. Not so much you're let's say,
being diabetic. People tell me diabetes not type one. I'm
talking about two. When they said what that runs in
my family, I'm like, oh, what goodness. If you do
any research, diabetes does.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
Not run in your genes.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Okay, that is one thing that does not do.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Like maybe a little bit of hard condition or THI
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
There's certain things that can, but diabetes is definitely not
one of them. That is absolutely food related, activity related,
weight related one hundred percent. I mean that for seventeen
years or tremdline. That's what I've helped people come off
insulin and diabetes medication and they're like, are.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
You kidding me? That can really happen. I'm like, oh,
my goodness, that absolutely, it absolutely can happen.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
You know, you don't have to be on blood pressure medication,
cholesterol medication, diabetes medical those are things that you do
not have to be on whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
And when we talk about purpose, you know, what.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Are people's purposes like for you with your with your family,
your daughters and your wife. But I mean people should
have also there within their own purpose, right. I mean
it's wonderful to have purpose for other people, which is great.
I think that's a great motivator. But what really is
going to get you going is the purpose that you're
going to.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Have within you.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
And what you have to really think about what is
your purpose within yourself and whether it's the outside factor
of being around for your family healthy, being there for them,
to be the caregiver whatever, or be really great at
your job or be able to continue to work, or
you know, be a little bit more active or fit
into smaller clothes. But I really think there's got to
(08:36):
be a deeper purpose of why you want to take
care of yourself.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
I mean that that for me really changed about four
years ago. Now.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
You know, I've been in nutrition and weight loss for
a long time, but you know, I lost like thirty
eight pounds a long time ago. In the past twenty years,
I've lost like another I don't know twenty Okay, so gradually,
and I really feel good about it. But the purpose
within yourself, you have to find out what it is.
And I think that's what's going to really get you going,
(09:05):
because it can't just be always about somebody else. And
I've granted family and kids are great grandchildren to be around.
But if I ask, if we line up twenty people
and ask them, you know, for you yourself, what is
your purpose that you want to be healthy, that you
want to be taking care of yourself? I wonder, I
truly wonder if people will know the answer.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Those people probably couldn't answer it, you know. I think
that's why you have to dive deeper into what you know.
We do as a society, you know, so we're so
superficial in how we think and it has to look
a certain way. Yes, that's important I'm not saying it's not,
but why why? What's your why? I always ask ask
my athletes a lot of times, what's your why? What
(09:46):
is it? Why are you here? Why are you doing
the things that you do? Why were you put on
this earth? That's the question I ask a lot of times.
I said, why you put on this earth? There's a
reason you're here? And what are you going to do
about it? Are you? Were you meant here just to
be a slug and do nothing? No, there's a reason
you're here. You have a purpose in life, but you
have to know what. Everybody's purpose is different, so I
(10:07):
can't name somebody's purpose. I would never tell this or
this is your purpose. You have to find that. But
it's it's an inner thought process. But I always talk
about it. We talk about it too, and that's why
we're doing seminar with Pastor Dance. Yeah, is the three
things you have to have. You have to have a spiritual,
a mental, and a physical. They all have to work
in conjunction with these other than if they do. I
always talk to people, I'm like, you can live a great, incredible, healthy,
(10:31):
drug free, you know everything life, and that's what you
should be aiming for but you have to put all
three together.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, And if anybody out there is like wondering, well,
well what's this about?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
How is it? How can you put those three together?
Or one or two?
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Even We're doing a seminar March First, which is a
Sunday at noon. Okay, so at at cross Point Church.
So it's Crosspoint Church and Cluonia Park, March first. Put
on your calendar twelve o'clock. Come and have some free lunch,
some free food, and then get to meet myself Coach
Brex and also Pastor Dave. And we're going to take
a break and we'll be right back.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Now back to the My Trimline Radio show with Nadia
here on news radio w HV five eighty.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Tell them welcome back.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Thank you so much for listening. If you tuned in
the first segment. I have the wonderful Coach Brex here.
Thank you so much for being here today.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
You know, I just thought of it. It's a week
from today that we're doing our seminar. So it's a
week from today next Sunday, which is March first.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Can you believe it's March first? Already?
Speaker 4 (11:28):
I know a lot of people are happy that hopefully
this one is coming hopefully to an end soon.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Yeah. Ye, I mean the weather's just been whatever.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
It is, what it is.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
It is what it is, that's right. So it's a
week from today.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Put on your calendar, March first at cross Point Church
and it's on Colonia Park and it's at twelve o'clock
lunch is there even if like I'm just gonna go
on free lunch or why not and then coming and
you know, obviously meet coach Brax, meet myself. Pastor Dave Is,
the pastor of Cross Point Church is absolutely the most
amazing man you'll ever meet in your life. This is
(12:00):
not about you know, trying to get you to be
part of the church. This isn't about you joining trim Line.
This isn't about you know, Coach Brex, you know, working
you to death or making you do sprints or you know,
have have bare feet in the snow. All the videos
I've seen a view, Okay, he's not going to do that.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
I promise you. You're going to be in a very
cozy setting.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
It's a seminar and it's not gonna be more than
I'm gonna say, forty five minutes, right, we say yep,
because the questions and answer. You can hang out afterwards
and ask us anything. So please put on your calendar
a week from today, March first, at noon at cross
Point Church and clone your park, stop by and I
would love to meet you. You can say, hey, listen
to your radio show. You can give me feedback. You
(12:43):
can tell me to you know, talk about something different.
You can talk to Coach Brecks.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
You can take it.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
You can take anything, right, Yeah, you can take anything.
You like, what do you mean we can live to
a like nine hundred years old? Okay, you can ask
him that, right, you can absolutely ask him that.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
So I guess.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
And really what we do these seminars for education when
mainly it's free, So you're like, well, how much is
it going to cost?
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Nothing? It's free. We love to educate people.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
And you know I always talked about I do the
health obviously the body, and well you're the body, I'm
the mind, and then the pastor Dave is you know
the spirit, you know, which is wonderful. So mind, spirit
and body is important bodies for me because we're health.
You know, what we're going to look on the outside,
what we put on the inside, and coach Brix really
does all the activities, like your mind. I think your
(13:27):
body is really the big thing to keep strong, but
also the mind. I really work on the mind because
it's what between our heads that makes us make decisions
toward food and what makes us what we're gonna do,
you know, how we think about things. And before the
break we were talking about our purpose within us, and
even when you and I got to the studio, I said,
you know, I really want to talk about how weather
(13:50):
really affects people.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 4 (13:52):
It is? But it is. It's crazy how many people
have talked to me over the last three four weeks. Man,
I just can't take it. It's gray out. Listen. You're
not going to change it. The only way you're gonna
change it, you're gonna have to move. Yeah, Unfortunately, that's
just what it is. I mean, this is Pennsylvania. Weather
has always been like this. Yes, it's a colder this
year than last year. Yes, so I think sometimes we forget.
But it's what you make of it, you know what
(14:13):
I mean. If you have that purpose, like you talked
about earlier, the mindset, what are you going to do?
You can't change it. There's nothing you can do to
change the weather. The only thing you can do is
how you react to it. And that's what I have
to talk to athletes when you lose a game that
you shouldn't lose. I'm like, Okay, you can act a
couple different ways. You can pout and be all upset
about it and they continue to lose. We can do
something about it, learned from the adversity that comes your way.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
And I'm not trying to downplay, you know, the winter blues,
and some people do have that chemical imbalance or issues,
which is.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
I'm not downplaying that down.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
What I'm saying is if we do anytime we have
a purpose within ourselves, something positive that we're looking forward,
it makes whatever situation better. And I think that's a
big one for me because I really do love the
sun and I like the warm weather, but and I
really never really like the cold now, but mentally, I'm
really getting myself much used to it. You know, when
(15:07):
it was like three degrees or minus five degrees a
couple of whatever, a month ago, whatever it was, and
I got up and I'm like, am I really going
to go to the gym to some winning when it's
like minus seven, I did, and it like you talk
to me, like ask me ten years ago or maybe
eight years ago. I probably would have never done that
just because I'm like, oh my gosh, it's like so cold.
(15:27):
I'll go later then when later it would come up
and never go just because later sometimes things doesn't happen
for me because I get you know, there's work, there's
being getting busy. Whatever comes later just sometimes doesn't happen
for me. But it's a mindset of us dealing with
whether it's weather. The other thing I tell people is seasons. Right,
They're like, oh, you know, I went through the holidays,
(15:48):
all those was really rough and I ate a lot
of food. And some people's like summer, summer's really hot.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
I really like to drink. You know.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
It's really on vacations, you know, there's always something in
any season you go. So it's the seasons, the weather.
We can't change it, like you said your reactions to it.
But I think it's like excuses.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
At the same time.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
We have a lot of excuses for a lot of
things that we do in life, and unfortunately that's what
we base everything on because we've always been given and out.
So many people have been given an out of why
you don't do it, and I try to always, always
I give my athletes a hard time. They know when
they come. And that's why I think a lot of
people don't always like coming in to see me because
I do call it out. I call myself out first.
I'll be the first one to tell you.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
What I'm dealing with you whether you're saying.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
That, but you know what I mean. I call myself
out and I hold myself that higher standard in the
sense of, hey, listen, I'm not going to eat an excuse.
I don't expect an excuse from you. And it's not
being mean, it's just you have to overcome them. We
can all use excuses of why we don't do something.
I don't eat well, well, why well, because you know
this went bad last night, I got a bad you know,
(16:52):
bag grade with my boyfriend or girlfriend Brokelyn. They're all excuses.
You can use everything in the world as an excuse. Oh,
I didn't come to the gym today because my a
larmed in golf. That's the best one. What do you
mean you're larmed in golf? You know what I mean? Like,
come on, you guys, have like eight job ye.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Ate my homework and that kind which you can't get
away without one anymore.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
We just need to get rid of that stuff. We
need to get that put all that stuff aside. You
can accomplish anything in this world. Everybody always says, you know,
the American dream blah blah blah, American dreams there if
you're willing to work for it and not make the
excuse for it.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
You know, you know, the thing is is when we
look at excuses, which we it is a learned behavior also, right,
it really is, And it's so much easier to make excuses,
Like it's so much easier. You know, who the heck
wants to get out of you know, they're out of
bed under the warm comforter and maybe with somebody who
(17:45):
loved laying beside you.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Then you want to get into a freezing car minus
seven degrees and go work out.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
You're like, wait a minute, I don't need to do
that today.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Right, But I think that, honestly is where the connection
comes into place on how much you want to really
take care of yourself, right, and how much is something
like that affects me? Like when I don't work out,
I work out and I'm not a crazy workout person.
Meaning I know people that are at the gym two
or three hours and they're there five days a week
or six days a week. That's not me, Okay, I
(18:16):
am maybe three to five. This week was a really
bad week. This past week, maybe hopefully minimum two. I
tried to aim for five and maybe I'm at the
gym anywhere from forty five minutes to a little over
an hour, depending on if I'm lifting or not. But
that to me, if it doesn't happen, I think for me,
it's my mental state, Like I don't work out to
(18:38):
you know, I want to be strong, I get it,
but honestly, it's for more mental for me, Like I
always tell people, I go workout so I don't kill
people because it's just really and I'm not a violent
person by any means, but there's just so much.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
There's a lot of stress and people really like to
use that.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Word a lot, like oh my stress, and how they
eat because of their stress eating or they didn't do
something because they were stressing, and they don't understand like
even a little bit of activity like walking anything that
really increases in difference.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
So have you seen people that do some sort of activity.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
And I'm not talking about like athletes, which is wonderful,
but I'm talking like the normal other people, whether they're
walking or doing a little bit elliptical or on a treadmill,
or even stretching or even doing taichi, which by the way,
there's zero impact on it that I know. You've seen
the difference between people who do them and don't corres.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
It's amazing when you actually get up and move the body,
how the body responds to that. And there's levels that
you talked about, the stress levels or depression can be
so much wipe down if we did it. I mean,
there's studies that have come out that said the number
one way to get rid of depression is not a drug.
It's actually working out correct.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
So we have a way naturally of how to combat
the stuff that goes on in our life, but yet
we're always looking for the quick fix, unnatural way that
actually will cause us harm later on. Because we all
know that you put too many drugs in your body.
They're synthetic, they're not they're not natural. They're going to
call side effects. I don't care what how how safe
you say they are. They're going to call size effects.
(20:08):
That's just what they do. So what do you If
it's an easy workout, why wouldn't I just go do that?
You know what I mean? That's what the question I
always ask my athletes, But they always feel better. I
have people who come in and I really want to
get up today, you know, and come in and it's
six o'clock in the workout's done because they came in
at five or four forty five, and they're like, dude,
I'm so happy.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
I did absolutely amazing.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Yeah, it's amazing. Now.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
No, I know you am pastor Day make fun of
me because I don't get up early that morning. You
guys will come and meet us at six am. I'm like, no,
thank you, but I mean I would love to, but
then I'm probably I got to bed at eleven thirty.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
You know, you're the opposite of vice.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah, I mean I don't go to bed like crazy late,
but I do go to bed at like a eleven
thirty quarter to twelve.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
I want to be asleep before midnight.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
And you know us, some of us women, and there's
women probably out there listening that that can that can.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Relate to me. We don't sleep well.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
I want to, but some of us, really, don't you men,
sleep can still be better than we do. And that's
one thing that's probably one thing that I'm very jealous
of your men. I'm not really jealous of many things,
but that's one of them. So we're going to come back.
We're going to talk about, honestly, how our what is
our why, what is our passion? What is it within
us that we can actually kind of navigate through this weather?
(21:18):
And we know summer is going to be here, So
don't forget a week from today on Sunday, March first,
twelve o'clock at cross Point Church in Colonia Park. Put
that on your calendar. Coach Brex and I would really
love to meet you. We're going to take a break
and we'll be right back.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Welcome back.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
This is the my trim Line Radio Show with Nadia
here on news Radio double HB five eighty.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Hell then, welcome back, and thank you so much for listening.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
And if you're just tuning in, because I know sometimes
people tune in mid show because.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
You're coming from church. Some people say they to me,
you have to been to church, and now I know
it's that wonderful and I.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Love it too, So thank you so much for tuning
in and this, you know, this very strong voice that
you're hearing is Coach Brad.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
So thank you again for being here. Once again, thank
you and you're telling about what's.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Going on a week from today because honestly pretty excited
about it.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
Yes, very excited. We're doing a seminar March first at
cross Point Schorch on Colonial Road in Colonial Park. We're
holding a seminar. We're just going to be talking about health,
but it's in three phases. We talk about the spiritual,
the mental, and the physical. And we're going to be
joined by Pastor Dave absolutely who's phenomenal and he really
brings the fire when it comes to the spiritual part
of your health, which I think is so key and
(22:29):
I've I've talked about this probably for about four or
five years that when you put all three in alignment
with each other, your health is at the highest level
possibly can be. When there's one there, you could be okay, two, yeah, better,
but when you put all three together, it's unreal of
what you can accomplish and how great you feel. So
we're going to be talking about that what to do.
I know my topic is going to be on injuries.
(22:49):
How to know that maybe you're heading towards an injury.
A lot of people have no idea that you could
be heading towards an injury, and you can mitigate it
out before it gets to that point.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
That's better than prevention exactly.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
So I had a guy who came in said, hey,
my knee starting to bother me a little bit, nothing painful,
he could still do everything, and I said, I, well,
let's hit on it right now. Had nothing to do
with his knees, actually was his ankle. He had actually
had his ankle became really stiff from an injury previously,
maybe ten fifteen years ago, and it became real, real stiff.
Why it wasn't allowing his ankle to move the proper way,
(23:19):
so the knee was trying to find range. Well, the
knee can't find the rains there, so guess what, it
started to hurt. So once we fixed up the ankle,
no knee pain anymore. So I'm gonna be talking about
that stuff. Love that, So we're gonna be talking about
that when I do it. And I know you have
an important part when it comes to the mental what
to eat, which is hugely mental. You know what I mean, especially.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Nowadays, and people think it's physical, but honestly, it's more mental,
like the decisions we're making toward food. Your relationship with
food has a lot to do obviously mentally, but it
also has to do a lot with how you treat yourself.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
You know.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
I always tell people it's your relationship with food and
your relationship with yourself, because if you truly had an
awesome relationship with yourself, how could you hurt your body
so much by not taking.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Care of it.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
It's like that purpose we talked about the why. You know,
if you have that, you're going to take care of yourself.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Now, I know what you just said was really important
because it was just like a little light bulb went
up in my head.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Maybe you saw it, but possibly saw it.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
But the thing is, it's like this past week, I
woke up in the morning and my knee was hurting
a little bit. Okay, and it does come and go,
and it's my left knee, and I'm like, why is
it hurting it? So I'm kind of down the steps
and I could feel it right now, I don't have
a But then then the next day, my right foot,
like on the bottom was kind of throbbing and hurting,
(24:38):
and I'm like, Okay, you know, I don't know why
this is happening. I really don't know because I wasn't
doing anything.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Now.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
The day before that I stood, I was standing for
a long period of time, like I'm going to say,
probably about maybe six or seven hours. I did walk
a little bit where I was standing in and I'm thinking,
maybe that's the reason that my bottom of my feet
was hurting, because I don't really have that much pain.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
But maybe I.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Need to come to you and see you find out
what's going on with my one knee. But I do
work out, so I always I'm like, well, maybe because
I'm overdoing it, or something could be.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
You know, it's always ten thousand things. It could be.
But when I break it down, I always look and
I always ask my clientele expressed with my adults, have
you ever had a previous injury? And if they say yes,
which ninety nine point nine percent of them, do you
know what I mean? And it could be as simple
as a sprained ankle some you had twenty years ago.
Your body has to compensate right at that time, it
(25:29):
has to compensate, has to figure something else out. If
you don't fix what's hurt the movement pattern that was
originally there, it will adjust. Well, that adjustment changes everything
else in the human body. Everything else gets thrown off
just a little bit. That could be just a little bit,
and maybe you don't have any issues going forward, but
that little bit then can sometimes get bigger and bigger
(25:51):
and bigger, and then all of a sudden it starts
to hurt someplace else, and sometimes it's on the opposite side.
It's a thing. That's what the thing that I've loved
about the human body that I've studied for the last
ten to fifteen years. Many people don't want to get into.
It's understanding your body. I know when I'm if I'm
going to get sick, I know beforehand, so I know
how to stop it so I don't get sick. I've
been sick in years, and the reason being is because
(26:11):
I start to feel something coming on. And I ask
people all the time, you didn't know you were getting sick.
They're like no, and I'm like, that's too late. Then
you know what I mean, it's already passed the point.
You have to know and understand your body, but you
have to listen to it. And that's what you said,
understanding your body, mentally, having the purpose, the why. All
those things all come back to the same thing, and
that's what. If you can do that, it's amazing how
(26:32):
well and how healthy you can live.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
And like getting sick.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
People are going around people a lot, and I'm around
children a lot, and this is why I get sick.
And you know, I'm around people a lot.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
But that's the thing, Like if I if I'm like,
oh my.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
God, my throat hurts a little bit, it's like, oh,
you're going to get sick, I'm like, no, I'm not going.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
To get sick.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
But the first thing I think in my head is
I'm not getting sick. Yes, you know, if I have
like a my sinus is sometimes as an issue, there's
nothing really you can do about that.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
They're like, oh, yeah, you probably have to flu. I'm like,
I don't think so. I don't think I have to flow.
I mean, it could be anything. They're like, oh, you're
getting sick.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Because there's a lot of people that tell me that
they're sick around me, but whether it's clients or friends
or family.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
And I never understood that.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
But if I ever even get like a little scratchy throat,
and everyone's like, oh, you're gonna get sick.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
I'm like, no, I'm not. I'm like I Am not
going to get sick.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
And you know, at that point, maybe it's a little
too far even because maybe you even know when you're
getting sick before the scratchy throat.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
But as as soon as.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
I feel like a little bit of something in my mind,
you know, it's going to be the me getting sick
and me so it's just going to be like me
battling it every which way possible for me not to
do it.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Like I was not feeling well.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
I don't know, this was a long time, maybe a
couple of months ago, and they're like, well, you should
probably rest up, you know, lay down and do it.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
And I get it.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
I'm sure there's certain know, flu or whatever that you
get you should probably lay down, but I can't. I
mean then when I did go work out or go
for a walk or whatever, Honestly, I think I kicked its.
Toush kit can still be faster than just laying on
the couch. I can't even tell you last time that
I just had been laying you know, all day somewhere.
I mean maybe I should, but that has not happened
(28:06):
yet because I think for us to be able to,
you know, our passion within us in a purpose. You know,
for a long time, I've always had purpose in wanting
to help people. That's really important to me. But and
I didn't take vacation whatever. But four years ago everything changed,
you know, when my mother passed, because I really said
to myself, well, this is how life ends, right, And
(28:27):
I know there's life beyond here, but I'm talking about
life here. So when I saw that, I'm like, you know,
I really need to kind of take care of myself
because she didn't, and she really had a rough life
at day at least I'm gonna say five years of
her life. And I think that's my If I ask anybody,
we said, you know, let's line up ten or twenty
people and see what their purpose is, Like, what is
(28:47):
the purpose for yourself? Not that you want to be
around for your family and all that good stuff or
whatever your work in you know, vacation, but really what
is your purpose within yourself that you want to take
care of yourself and be around for right? And I
think mine if I had to really think about that,
because I was a question that I said, can I
answer it? It is because I really want to, you know,
live as long as I can, you know, god given,
(29:10):
and but live it as long as I can healthy.
I think that is like one of my major major things.
And I actually my goal in my life is if
I if I do live to one hundred, I really
want to and I'm going to think that in my
head that I want to be really healthy, active and
not look like I'm a hundred and still travel and
still do things, you know, still be able to open
(29:32):
up a jar, you know, just things you know, still
maybe go mo Alon or whatever and anything like that.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
I think that's my goal, Like I want.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
To because it's something that nobody can really see and
if it's maybe it's for a lot of people that's impossible.
And I'm always challenged by things that are impossible or
what society tells you that hey, this is how you
should feel and be. Like when I went through a
MetOp when I when I got divorced at four, I
(30:00):
was almost forty years ol. When I got divorced, I
was like, oh god, you're forty. You're like forty and
getting a divorce. Who would Oh jeez, naughty what are
you gonna do now? And I'm like nothing, I'm gonna
go live my freaking life. I mean, I was in
the back shape of my life. I had the best
time of my life. I jumped out of a plane,
I went bungee jumping. I mean, I did a lot
of things. Then when I went through a menopause' like, ugh, menopause.
(30:22):
You know it's downhill.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Now?
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Are you gonna get frunt by? And I have a
belly And I'm like no, I'm not. I'm not gonna
do that. Then they're like, oh, when you hit fifty,
everything after fifty is downhill. That didn't happen. So what
I'm saying is is like whatever people want to plant
that seed, that's a negative seed of what society thinks
you should be, especially for us women. Honestly, you shouldn't.
(30:46):
You should not allow that. Does that make sense?
Speaker 4 (30:50):
I think that's society has has manipulated most people to
believe that if you got to seventy five, that's a
great life, and that's the biggest bull that's out there.
It's just, honestly, I don't understand why we listen to
that kind of stuff and we take that advice in
and then it gets in your head. Like you say,
you have a different mindset. That's why you live a
healthy life. That's why you have what you do, and
(31:12):
that's why you keep going and you keep motor and
you don't because your mindset and the mind is so
important of how we overcome most of our stuff, but
also of how we live our life. You know what
I mean? If you think you're going to be sick,
you think you're going to be Oh, well, these five
people around me were sick, so I'm gonna get sick.
You're gonna get sick. You already told yourself you're gonna
be sick, so go be sick. You know what I mean?
If you don't think like that, I never I've been
(31:33):
in ruins where people are coughing and happy everywhere everywhere,
and like, oh so, so I K know you're probably
gonna get sick. I'm I'm not gonna get sick just
because you're sick. That doesn't know it doesn't They have
now done studies on people who have a mindset of
not of thinking the opposite way of a society has
told them, you know, not getting sick just because you're
around somebody and they don't get sick, or if you're
(31:53):
starting to get something like you said, you start to
get the throat, I'm not going to be sick, and
then all of a sudden you get over it. It's amazing,
but it is a mind thing, but people don't. I
think I figured I really try to understand people over
the last three to five years, and they don't have
the mindset they need. And that's the unfortunate thing. Our
minds are so powerful, but people don't unleash that mind power.
(32:15):
They don't. They just don't know how. Maybe maybe because
they listen to society and society tells them not to,
but that mind exactly if they just unleash that mind.
And I always tell people, I'm like, you know how
much studying I do on myself but also on the
human body every day. It's probably three to four hours
every day besides the work that I'm already doing of
how to figure out how to get myself to live longer,
(32:36):
be better naturally that God intended me to. But it's
also help people understand and I think if we could
get people to do that, it'd be incredible.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
And you and I.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Do that three four hours studying or whatever we do,
and that's what we make it easier for other people.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
If it was like I don't have three four hours
to do that, we're not saying that.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Okay, we you can do things in such an easy
way and if you're wondering, well, how is that possible? Hey,
a week from today, come to the seminar at cross
Point and Colonia Park, meet myself obviously, meet Coach Brex,
and you get to meet the wonderful Pastor Dave. This
isn't about religion. We're not trying to recruit for anything.
This is a free seminar. We're gonna take a break
and we'll be right back.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
Let's get back to the my trim Line Radio show
with Nadia on Use Radio w HP five eighty.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Hello and welcome back, and thank you so much for
listening and tuning in. And you know what, I've had
Coach Brex over here, so thank you so much for being.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Part of this.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
That's my pleasure. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
And really on the breaks that we take, like the
little breaks, we always talk about some amazing stuff, you know,
and we were talking about you know, so first thing.
A week from today, come to the seminar. We have
a seminar going on at Crosspoint Church off a Colonial
Park and it's at the church.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
It's a free lunch. Come and just have a free
lunch with us.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
But we're going to talk about so there's it's about
maybe forty minutes and you know, open to questions and
you get to meet meet meet Coach Brex and obviously
if you can meet Pastor Davis is absolutely wonderful. And again,
like I said, this isn't about you joining trim Line
or you know going to you know, join with coach
Backs or become part of their church. This is just
the venue that we're going to and we really want
(34:09):
to talk about like the mind, body, and soul. And
you're going to talk about injuries, which is really important.
It's not that you have to be injured injured to
be You're talking more about preventive which is run.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Also, if you have some discomfort, a lot of people
go throughout their life with back pain, m H. To
take care of that, how to take care of these
basic things that you don't need surgery. For the majority
of stuff you don't need surgery. You'd be amazed at
how many times I've talked to people that really don't
need it. They get it, but they don't need it.
You just got to put the work in. You got
to know what where your body feels and how it feels,
(34:39):
and then go for there.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
See that's and that's wonderful. I mean, if you can
prevent surgery, why not. I think that's one of the
most important things. And then now when we talked about
on the break that I really do. You said there's
two things that you really and and I told you,
I said, I do. You're talking about being in a
room with coughing people whatever. And on the break I said,
you know, I was talking to a friend of mine
and I was not I wasn't kind of like feeling
like my throat was hurting, it was itchy, and and
(35:03):
I'm like, oh, my gosh, I was at the Red
Light therapy room and people are coughing.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
And you know, it was like sweating, and it was smelly.
You know, it's just really.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
It was really sometimes it just gets really that smelly
in there. But but but and she's like, oh, don't
don't go to that. You're gonna get really sick. Strive
to not to be around people. And I'm like, hmmm, no,
I'm really going to go to it because that honestly,
I feel amazing when I go to the red light
therapy room.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
And your thoughts on that are pretty strong.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
Yeah, I love the two things that everybody, you know,
everybody talks about these life hacks and health hacks and
stuff and cold plunging and all this stuff whatever that
you want to do there. But there's two that I
really studied up on and really have done a lot
of deep diving into, and the two that really work,
The only ones that I've really found that really work
all the time with everybody is red light therapy and
Saunas dry Sonus. The phenomenal things that people have access
(35:51):
to now, you know what I mean. You can get
it for your house. Yes, they can be a little pricey,
but at the end of the day, I always tell you,
what's your health worth? You know what I mean. We'll
spend we were just talking about ten dollars on some
coffee from some coffee place. Yeah, and you know every day,
so you're spending three hundred dollars a month when you
could have bought one of these things and actually taken
care of your health. And the red light gets so
(36:13):
deep inside the cells' an I had an athlete that
it hurt their ankle. They came to me the day after.
We got them back to about seventy percent, which is
typically what happens when they come to see me. I
can get them back to seventy percent if they get
it right away that they're walking, they can jog. They
still have some discomfort. I say, listen, I know you
guys live far away, don't worry about coming. Do you
have red light? They said, yes, put that on for
the next two days and do the exercise they give you.
(36:33):
Within two days or a back runner, no problems. The
red light therapy is phenomenal because it gets so deep
inside the cells, and that's what you want. You want
to sells to recover quicker. And unfortunately, you know, we
talked about it earlier. With the weather, Pennsylvania is not
the greatest place for the sun. The sun is the
greatest thing you can get. So if we got sun
all the time, I say, go outside in the sun
fifteen to twenty minutes every day, you know, you know,
(36:56):
no shirt on, you know, and stuff like that, and
just let it observe all your skin. That would be
the best. I understand, we don't live in that environment
right now, up in this area, now down maybe down south,
you could, but the red light's the next best thing.
So get one and then see what you actually will
start to have, how you heal. I've had people who
had some chronic diseases that have done that and they
heal the chronic disease.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
I am.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
I am the truth to that, because you know, I
love it because the digim I go today have it
and there's like a room of it, and there's a
in the women's room there's a dry one, which, by
the way, like burns you and like and I can
take heat.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
My gosh, that thing is like unbelievably hot.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
I come out of there and you can't put your
phone and your earbuds in there. My earbuds are on
fire and like freaking seven minutes, my ear is gonna
fall off. But it's pretty hot in there. So but
I love it, like you feel good you're sweating. Put
first of all, a lot.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Of toksin South.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
That's the number one, right, But the red light therapy,
I if I don't go for two days in a
row or three days in a row, I can really
tell the difference. And I'm the type of person that
my mind's gonna tell me, oh, you really need this
and play it.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Really.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Red light therapy is amazing. And the ones that you
can buy over the counter or on Costco or wherever.
They're coming like kind of like a sheet, not a sheet,
but you can put with the Costco one. They're coming
a mask and people think they're really funny. Area that's
where you look at a robot like it really works.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
It really does work.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
There's a mask on and you can get one up
for your chest right Costco a little expensive, but so
worth it.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
You'll have it forever. It's only ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Yeah, it has a little timer on there and it's
ten minutes, ten minutes out.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Of your day for you to kick the blues.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Honestly, red light therapy is amazing for depression and kicking
the blues. That's like big time, and then also anti aging.
It's wonderful for your skin and really great for your muscles.
And I think the one you have is different.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
It's like a mine's a square one, so you know,
I'll lay it on. But they have the mats that
you can get and you can roll out and you
can actually lay on it. They're actually ones They actually
a blanket, so you lay on it and also ziper
it up and boom, you're inside like almost like a
cocoon type thing, you know, And the bigger you get,
it's gonna be more expensive. But I got one for
my wife, a toothbrush, red light toothbrush, so I was
reading some studies up on it, and it's the number
(39:06):
one thing. So all the studies have shown that red
light toothbrushes, okay, are actually the most beneficial way to
brush your teeth because most times, most people don't understand
that brushing teeth is not the greatest thing because of
the microfibers on the toothbrush and things like this. But
these things are designed differently. And the red light going
into your mouth, yeah, okay, it's phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Don't know what you're just I'm going to be looking
up that because honestly, I didn't even know that even existed.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
I didn't know until I started doing research on it.
And my wife has been using that. She says, phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Okay, I'm gonna I would love that. But if you're like, well,
I don't know where to get red light therapy. First,
there's a bunch of places you can be members of that.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
They will.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
You can go to them, or you can get the pad,
like the pad that you let like actually like a
cocoon like you said, probably it sounds like a sleeping
bag to me.
Speaker 4 (39:49):
Yeah, almost like that, correct. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
And then the one you have is just like a
swapluare that you could put it on your chest, you
can put it on your thighway.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Yeah, So you research it.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
I mean, if you don't want to go to Amazon
I but anywhere, they probably have it. But if you
want to invest in something that's really positive, that's absolutely there.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
It's like it's for hair growth.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Honestly they do because they have the cap ones they
have like really uh the ones for wound healing like
you're talking about that. It just does that cognitive and
mental health. I really can tell the difference. So that's
something that you can if you're like one thing that
you want to put into it. Obviously you got your nutrition,
you got to be a little bit active. And if
you're like, if you really want to be like a
no brainer about it, get into more red light therapy.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
Yeah. Just to give your heads up, my wife is
starting up a class in the next week or two
it's red light therapy based, so it's actually a workout
and the room is all lit up in red lights
with the red light therapy, so as you're working out,
you'll have the red light on there.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
So did you guys got a room with red lights
in there? Okay, what day?
Speaker 4 (40:48):
I'll get you all the schedule that.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
I have yet to meet your wife, I know, and
I would love to take one of her class.
Speaker 4 (40:55):
I'll have to get you over them. So when she
starts the class, we're almost done everything set up. I
just got to get the one one more thing fixed
and we're.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
Ready rock great.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Let me know, I would love to take the class
with her. And you know, like I told you before,
I'm probably gonna embarrass myself. I'm probably not as good
as the shape as I.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
Think you are. You'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
I'm going to places now that whenever I get a
group of women. You know, I had a picture up.
I went out with a bunch of women. I am
I'm either the oldest or the second oldest. Okay, out
of ten to twenty.
Speaker 4 (41:23):
You're probably the best shape. That doesn't matter. Age is
just a number. I keep telling you that age is
just a number.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Oh yeah, and I'm not going to say it. I'm
just going to kick my butt. I'm double nickels, So
doesn't that's like, that's when like the nurse practition that's
on with me stuff. She's absolutely wonderful.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
We're like, oh, like the double nickel trouble whatever, because
we'll double nickels, right, And who the heck says that?
But I think it, Honestly, I don't feel it.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
I don't. I don't even think it. You know.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
I know one day, God given, hopefully i'll be sixty,
and I won't believe that I'm sixty.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
So it's I guess it's our purpose.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
It's what we want to do and nourishing your body
through you know, whether it's meditation or whether it's religion,
or whether it's any kind of peace. I think that's
really important. And most people started first thing in the morning.
That's something that I've really been trying to do to
really kind of meditate and meditate.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
People take that, okay home, I'm not talking about that.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
Okay, it could be that obviously, but we're just talking
like a little bit of a power conversation with yourself
in the morning, like do you do that?
Speaker 4 (42:20):
I get up every morning. First thing I do is
pray ten to fifteen minutes and then I'll lay down
on the couch and then just talk to God. And
that's my time ten ten minutes, you know, So it's
about twenty twenty five minutes. That's why I get up
early three o'clock. So I'm ready to go by three thirty.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
You and RJ, y, guys, You and RJ get up
at three three thirty. My goodness.
Speaker 4 (42:40):
But that's it's how it is, and that's how we
It starts the day and it gets gets me rolling
for the rest of the day. I miss it. I'm ass.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Yeah, that's a great start to the morning, honestly. And
you know, whether you're religious or not out there, it's
whatever you find in the morning to give yourself ten
or fifteen minutes to just give yourself a little bit of.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
A peace before you start your day. So please don't forget.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
