Speaker 3 (00:31):
And obviously it is.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
And I really appreciate you always listening to the show
and it actually makes me feel pretty but freaking amazing
when you email me and you say positive things to me,
which I really like.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I love positive things. But you can give it a
negative too.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
If there's anything on your mind that you're like, hey,
I want you to talk about this, or you know what,
you talk too much about that, or whatever the case,
maybe please do reach out to Nadia at mytrimline dot com.
You can give me any feedback or anything you want
to talk or anything you have questions about. And I
have a wonderful guest here today and he's been on
before I forced him to come on today did and
(01:08):
I did not.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Coach Breck, you did not.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Okay, Coach backs, Please tell everybody who you are. They
should know who you are by now, but you know,
maybe some listeners don't know yet.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah. The name is Coach Bricks and I run Exposed
to Sports Performance. Just started up another company called RX
Health and Fitness that's more doctor run. We're trying to
become more proactive in the health field. So I'll talk
more about that later on. But you had just been
working with athletes twenty four years in the business and
doing well, doing well.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, and you know, on on, you know, before we
got started, we're talking about uh because you know, we're
on Facebook together and anybody can obviously join our Facebook.
You can send a friend request to us. But I
think it was was it last week that Tom Russell
was there and and I didn't a guy named Steve,
which I guess we're friends on Facebook, but you know,
I don't know if I've ever met home. But anyways,
so they but you guys were like carrying a bunch
(01:56):
of I said, would and you're like What the heck
are you talking about? It's logs, right, and what was it?
Was it like five in the morning?
Speaker 3 (02:03):
What was it?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Now we started down when a six fifteen. They'll get
earlier now because the light, you know, comes up much earlier,
so we'll start early and get early. I think the
next one is because you know how much I love that. No,
my god, you're a morning person.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I know, I am.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm just at a five am morning person. I'm like
quoted as seven seven fifteen, seven to thirty morning person.
Is that it's not bad?
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Right?
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Oh, no, not at all. But see, now you get
to meet Steve when you come to one of them. Okay,
so you actually meet him. So what we do out
there is all outside stuff. So we we flip tires,
we run the hills, we pick up logs, pick up stones,
climb ropes, things like that, just getting outside doing something different,
you know. And it's interesting because everybody pushes each other.
Everybody has a good time. We have guys that are
(02:44):
in their sixties. We have young people that are, you know,
eleven years old, you know, came out and do it.
Females males, doesn't matter. And the good part about it
is you don't have to do what somebody else next
to you is doing. We have plenty of different sized logs,
different sized blocks, different sized things, and it's just fun.
Everybody has a great time. Every single person who does
it is like, this is worth it because it's something different.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
See, that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
That's actually what I was kind of thinking about and
seeing because I go to a gym, so I'm inside
right and I know, and you're like the back of
my head that that you know, you're like whispering in
my ear.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
It's like, you know, you should get outside. You should
get outside. You need to be more outside.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
And I've been really thinking about that and now the
weather's getting better, so I really would. But again, if
you do something like, you know, say seven after maybe
maybe I can make a six fifteen. See, I go
to bed around eleven thirty, and what do you go
to like eleven quoted twelve.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Tom does the same thing. So when he comes in
a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
He probably takes a freaking nap. Okay, maybe he takes
a nap.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
But you know, he's on the news or you know
what I mean untill eleven thirty until he gets home.
It's you know, you know midnight, so then he's still
he doesn't come in all the time, but sometimes he
does come in and sometimes he's a little grumpy at times,
but other times is great.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
I can't.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
I'm not a nap person. I know people will get
up like a five in the morning. I know, seriously,
I'm at the gym that I go to they go
five in the morning.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
I'm like, oh my god, that's five in the morning.
Like that's like.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
But most of them say to me, how like let's
say when I get home from work, like they work
on them when and go to work, they take a
nap and they do dinner.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Blah blah blah. Right, I can't. I can't nap.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
If my if my life dependent on napping, I'd be
in trouble.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I've gone.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I've gone, and I don't know why that is. Like
I'll lay down and I'm like a like a plank.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
I'm playing.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I'm like stiff as a board, and I'm like trying
to you know, close my eyes and you know in
my head, I'm playing. And you know, I play things
on my phone to listen to calming. It just doesn't happen,
you know. So but I will I will and don't
here I.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Got something for you. What I'm teetering, I don't know.
I'm toying with it. Since it's two hundred and fifteth anniversary,
you know, Independence Day. Yes, I'm thinking about starting when
at two fifty.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
In the morning to fifty in the morning, just stay
up and we'll start and that will be there is
our j possibly.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Okay, there's a couple of people that asked me when
I toyed, I said, hey, we might do one on July.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Fourth, because you do two fifteen in the afternoon. I mean,
there there is another one to know, there's.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
An am And this is the whole thing when I
when I created this thing, was about challenging your body,
challenging your mind, challenging your spirit to do these things.
So if I did in the afternoon, everybody, it's easy.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
And actually and that's not easy. Most people get lethargic. Well,
I agree with you, crash after lunch.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
I agree with you. But you're up, Yeah, you're up. Now,
try to see go to bed, get up and then
come in at two fifty in the morning, or stay
up and then do the workout. You see what I'm saying.
The challenge is much more difficult. I agree with you
that most people are lethargic in the afternoon, but you're
already out.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
But you know, there's a lot of people that stay up,
like when they're in Vegas and partying.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
I agree. I agree. Now, now you got to come
in and you got to do the workout and the
two fifty in the morning.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
No drinking, don't be like drinking night before. Come and
do the work that's what we want to do.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
But I mean I would.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
And you're like, say that you're doing a heavier logs,
like a lot of big logs later, are you having
one that the bigger logs are happening?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Right?
Speaker 3 (05:54):
And you have a different right.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
We do different things. Sometimes you carried it in front
of you, sometimes you cared on shoulder, on your back,
different things. And we do crawls all the kind of
different crawls. I got a hill there, so we'll do
backwards bear crawls up the hill. You know, different different
types of crawls, different types of workouts. So we just
mix it all up. Throws, you know, we'll take tires
and throw them. We'll run with sleds, we'll pull I
have fire hoses, old fire hoses.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Small bicycle tire because I think, see I can do that,
I can throw that one.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
So we had all that, We had all this kind
of stuff and we just put it all together. We
just come out with different worko's. Actually we do a
whole sand workout, so like July fourth, we'll have a
hold one in the sand where you'll just be in
the sand the whole time. I have a sand pit there,
so you'll do you know, different throws with stones, rotational throws, crawls, jumps,
all kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
My goodness, you know, it sounds like so it does
sound very challenging. And I guess part of me, because
I'm I'm and I guess this is what we're talking about,
even though I work out and I'm pretty active, like
in my mind, and whoever's listening out there, they're probably like,
oh my gosh, this is like nuts, right, because even
though I'm active, to me, that sounds like, oh geez,
(06:57):
I don't that's a little bit out there. That's that's
like really crazy for me. And part of me feels
like what you know, if you're a failure, right, And
and I guess that goes to anything that we're doing
and people that want to lose weight and get healthy,
or if they're on the weight loss shots and you know,
they're like, well, I don't know if I'll put the
nutrition in there, because obviously that's there's an extra challenge, right,
(07:18):
there's an extra challenge to not just do the shots,
but also put nutrition in there, learn to make a
better relationship with your food. In my mind, I'm like,
am I if I do this? Like what if I
what if I I'm not as strong as I think
I am? But what if I'm not as fizz I
think I am, and and I'm not I'm not really
that fit? I don't think so, But I feel like,
what if I just can't die? Like what if I like,
(07:40):
I don't not die, die but like my breath you know,
and all that.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
So, but that's everybody. That's every single one of us,
like all of us have because that's why you push
yourself to your max. It's not my max, it's not
Tom Russell's max or anybody else's. It's it's the max
that you can push in. And that's why it's great
because anybody can come out and do it, and once
they do it, I'm being honest with you, I've had
people who said I don't want and they finally come
and they do, and they're like, that's what I needed
(08:05):
because you overcome so much. Everybody just thinks everything is physical.
It's not physical. That's the easy part of the medical
The mental part is what stops there. You know it
as well as anybody, because fact, that's why people don't
eat well. Anybody can eat well, it doesn't take a
rocket science, but they don't because they're mentally weak. And
that's where we are in society. We're extremely mentally and
spiritually weak. You know. The physical part goes with that,
(08:27):
all right, and I always talk about those three, But
the mental part is what's tough. Like if I said, hey,
you need to be there three o'clock, everybody tells me
they can't do it, except if I said, hey, I'll
give you a million dollars if your three'clocks and everybody's there.
So it was it wasn't that you couldn't do it,
it was mentally. It was mentally you stopped doing it.
So that's the biggest thing.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
I think the mental aspect is really the tough part
for everybody when it comes to anything, right, I think
if we can, because our brain really takes over a
lot of our abilities that we think we don't have
or that we think we can't do. And if we
can really get that mental state really strong, I think
we'll be able to do everything. So if like mentally,
(09:09):
when I guess getting there right, like part of me
would be like, Okay, I'm just gonna get up and
just get myself to there. Like a lot of times
I get things done by putting it into pieces, like Okay,
just at least get up and get out of bed,
right Because I love coffee so much, I'm like, at
least get up and go get your coffee. So that's
what that's like my thing to get out of bed.
I'm like, oh my god, I love coffee, and I
(09:30):
got I'm gonna get coffee. Then you know, I'm like, okay,
I'll put your put your gym clothes on.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
You know.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
It's just like it's accept by statnic. Maybe you don't go,
and if you go, really don't work out that much.
But then when I once I get there, I do
work out that much because I'm just I can't slack.
So so I think that would be like for me
to come and I don't. I do want to do
this because I want to be outside a little bit, honestly.
That's that's the part that you got me on the
fact of being outside, you know, like bare can I
(09:54):
be barefoot?
Speaker 5 (09:54):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Because I saw you barefoot. I'm gonna drop a log
on my foot and it's gonna be done. Okay, easier
said than done.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
It's like, you know, that's so true.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
But I really don't think the shoe is really going
to protect you too much. If a log falls on
your foot, that's still gonna hurt.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
You know, I know, I know, but it's still the
shoe may be tiny bit maybe and I need like
what those what those shoe calls with the little tips with.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
After that would definitely protect you.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
But yeah, I would be like, this will drop a lot, Yes,
but you do have an event coming up. When we
take the break, we're going to talk about that. And
you know right now, honestly, summer's here, and if you're
doing the shots, you're not doing the shots.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Please, please please.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
If you don't come to me, I don't care. Just
put nutrition with it. That's all I want you to do.
But I am running a twelve week wonderful wellness plan.
It's only twelve weeks short term. You can go to
my trim line dot com and book that free chat.
We're and take a break and we'll be right back.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Now back to the my trim Line Radio show with
Nadia here on news radio w HV five eighty.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Hello, welcome back, and thank you so much for listening.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I have the wonderful code Trex here with me, and
thank you again.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
For joining me.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
I'm serious.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
You've made me think a good bit about a lot
of things. But your knowledge is pretty impressive. And you
know the things that you post on Facebook, I absolutely
love I read them. I watched the video as you
put and now you're working with more like a medical
correct Yeah. So actually I really do want to know
myself about it, So tell me what's going on with that.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
And you guys have an event coming up too.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Yeah. So I wanted to take something and get people
to start thinking differently about how we treat the human body. Okay,
we've been brainwashing to believing that there's only one way
to do anything. If you get sick or whatever, you
have to take a pill. You have to do it.
This way, and that's not necessarily true. We're finding out
more and more and through all the research that I've done,
is the human body heals itself. The problem is what
(11:50):
we get into trouble is we don't allow it to
heal completely, so we heal it a little bit. So
let me give you an example. So I was reading a
book called the rain barrel Effect. And what most people
don't unders and sickness is not what we think sickness is.
Sickness is an accumulation of stuff. So in the rainbow effect,
if I have a rainbow and I fill with water,
once I get to the top, what happens to that water?
Speaker 3 (12:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
It spills out right, you can't put any more in.
It's full. Same way with the human body, we are
so toxic filled from our chemicals that we take in
in the air, are products that we put on our body,
the food that we eat, so over time our bodies
build up. So think about it. Now, I started the
bottom of my foot, I have no chemicals, no toxins
in there. It starts to fill up. Well, when I
(12:33):
get to the top of my head, it has to
go somewhere. Well, guess what happens, you get sick. We
call it a virus, but it's really over toxin load,
and that's what we do. So what happens is then
the next two or three days, four days, five days,
whatever it is, you don't really eat all that much,
so the toxin levels start to come down. Here's the issue, though,
as soon as somebody starts to feel better, what do
they do? They go back right way to eating to
(12:55):
living the same way. And you're like, why did I
get sick again? Well, you're not letting it all. You
have to drain it out, but we don't do that.
So when I started diving into this, I said, how
can we get people to understand this? Okay, I understand
some people on diabetes bills and all this kind of
suff high blood pressure stuff, but how can we naturally
get them? Because we know the human body naturally heals.
(13:16):
It heals from cancer, it heals from everything. I know
people don't believe this, but you have to dive deeper
into the whole thing. And I tell people that there's
a book called The World Without Cancer. It's in the
nineteen seventies. If you read that book, it will change
your whole mindset on how we treat cancer and how
we should treat it. But if we can figure out
how to healthy and get people back and heal and
be proactive about their health instead of reacting, Let's be honest.
(13:38):
Most people don't do anything until it's too late, you
know what I mean? And you know that that's why
nutrition is so important. You harp on it, how important
that is. If I'm eating cupcakes every single day. And
I'm not against somebody having a cupcake, but if I
eat that and it's every single meal and I'm having
four every single time, there's going to be something wrong
my body. Maybe the first two years it's fine, but
(14:00):
then all of a sudden it starts to creep up,
and then it starts to get all all infected and
stuff like that, and then we don't know why. I
don't know why I got it. Well, you're eating the
same trash and your body can't hand it anymore, you know.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
I think part of problem is is that. And this
is what I talk to my clients. And when people,
you know, book the fifteen minute free chat ends up
being longer because we want to talk, right, they just
it's I say fifteen minutes, but I take sometime twenty
minutes half an hour. If you guys want to talk,
I'll keep talking with you for you to understand what
I do and how I do it. But when I
or we do a consult and like, part of problem
(14:31):
is is that we keep wanting to squeeze everything into
a week.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
Right. See, there's a Monday through Sunday. I tell people
we have.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Seven dinners for the rest of our lives. We have
seven breakfast, seven lunch, seven snacks, seven dinners. But I
always say seven dinners because that's where people just really
fall apart, is.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
In the evening.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Right, So we have seven meals for the rest of
our life every single week, and everybody feels like they
have to squeeze everything into that way. Oh we want
a potato, we want then we want a pasta, Then
we're going to have a pizza. Then we're gonna you know.
Then they do like pretzel snacks all day. Then they
you know, they have crackers all day. They do a
handful of handful of chips for lunch, and I love
(15:10):
that terminology, a handful of chips, right so, and then
handful of chips A handful of chips two times a
week is not the issue, right, but handful of chips four.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Times a week.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
But then then let's not even say handful of chips.
Let's so you do handful of chips two times a week,
but then you end up doing you know, massive pretzels,
or you're putting potato five days a week during the week.
Those combinations is what starts. You're like, well, I'm not
doing that bad. Well yeah, because I only had two
handful of chips two times a week.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
But you don't.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
People don't look at all the other things they do
in that week. Like, we all want to squeeze as
much high fat, high sugar, high carb, especially carbs the
big thing for people. I mean, we're talking like potato,
sweet potato, pasta, rice, corn boy.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Corn's kind of come around.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
People are already talking about corn for the summer time
coming around, right, And I'm like and they want I'm like,
that's okay, but just try not to squeeze everything into
one week, because guess what, God given you have another
week come in, So just say do it moderation, do
it maybe two or three times a week, and I
think that's pretty plenty. That's pretty plenty. You do in
two or three times a week. Then wait, the new week,
(16:21):
do it all over again. Right, the new week, do
it all over again. And then that's really what I
try to teach people. You don't have to squeeze everything
that is high carb, high sugar, you know, even alcohol
for that matter.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Into the same week. You know, just just squeeze it
all in.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
And that concept is like there's like almost like a
little light bulb goes up for some people.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
They're like, well, that that kind of makes sense.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
I'm like, well, yeah, I mean because if I did that,
and you know, like even if you did that, not
that I wouldn't do that, but I'm just saying if
I ate, you know, start you meals every single night
and then end up having like sugary stuff during the day,
and I did it five six days a week, I guarantee.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
You I would gain weight.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
But also I think more so and I think this
is probably for more you and I is that I
just would feel horrible, like my body can't. My body's
like I will, I will hurt you. My body's like
you need to stop giving me. I do do that
like I've done, like drink a little too much or
two days in a row or too much carbs or something.
By the third day, I honestly like I can't even
(17:24):
mentally imagine putting that again into my body. So I
think that is a little bit of a mental con
Everything is mental that you and I were talking about, and.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
I think you nailed it, Like we don't. We gotten
to a point where we just assume that this is
how we're supposed to live because somebody has told us.
And this is what I'm trying to get with the
RX Health and Fitness is I'm trying to get you
out of that mindset. I'm trying to get you to
think biblically more or less, how we're actually made. We
have to put the signs in the spiritual part together
and say, okay, how does this work. Okay, we've gotten
(17:57):
so far where we all just it's everything signs, But
with sciences is constantly changing, so we're not taking this part.
So everybody thinks you can only heal by me going
to a doctor. I have to go to a doctor.
That's not true. If I cut myself, do I have
to run to a doctor? Is the band aid healing me?
Or am I healing myself? I'm healing myself. When I
ask kids all the time. I said, when you break
a bone, how do you heal? And they're like, well,
(18:18):
I put a cast on, but the cast doesn't do anything.
The cast does nothing. Oh does protect your leg from
moving a certain way. It's not healing you. Your body
naturally heals. So if your body naturally heals, and we
know that every single organ, and there's still studies done,
you know, trying to figure out the hard part, but
every single organ re heals itself. This is the most
beautiful thing that we have designed, but it can't heal
(18:39):
properly if it's trying to fight off this infection because
I have this toxin load in there, and that infection
is toxicos. If you don't have that in there, you're
going to have it. You can heal from anything out there.
But that's what we don't understand. If we can get
to that point, that's what I'm trying to teach people
with this program and with the doctor's help that I'm
in with doctor Thomas, trying to get people to understand
(19:01):
this because he's an incredible doctor. Because I can sit
there and talk to him. Just like you said, he
wants to get to know you. So it's not like, hey,
get in and get out. I have two minutes with
you because I'm gonna billiate whatever amount of money. You
know what I mean. He's not like that. He sits
there and talks to you, you know, thirty minutes trying
to figure out these kind of things out. We're trying
to figure these things out where we go through an
evaluation process. Okay, what's your background? How can we get
(19:23):
you from this point to this point and this point
to this point, this point to this point.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
Isn't that nice?
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Willn't that be nice for a doctor to actually take
the time something like that?
Speaker 4 (19:31):
Correct? And that's all we want. And then with him
his over guidance because he understands more me helping him
out with the programs and things like that, and a
couple other guys we have on staff that are phenomenal.
That's what we want to do. We want to make
this more as a proactive approach. So you don't have
to spend time with the doctors. You can spend time
with the other people.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Yes, you can spend time and constantly treat you know,
and like he's obviously a doctor, so he does take insurance, correct, Yeah,
I mean, so that's been really nice.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
And you guys have an event coming.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
Up, and that's April seventeenth, eleven to five is open house,
and then April eighteenth, one to five in the afternoon,
we're going to be doing some good stuff, different giveaways.
Sound Route twenty two the Platinum Health and Fitness Place.
But we're in the back. So if you come around
this around the back of it, there's a walkway, so
come to if you're looking at the building to the
(20:18):
right side, there's a walkway. We're in the back there.
We have a whole facility set u up there.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
They set up they're connected to Platinum.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
No, well, we're in the building.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
It's just the venue, right, we're.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
In the we're in that building. That's where we work
out of. But there, you know, there's a door and
stuff that separate us and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
That's wonderful. So and it's free, like you can just
show up.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
So was September seventeenth and eighteenth.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Not September, I'm sorry, April April April No, but it's like,
so it was one to five on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
I think, yeah, it's eleven to five on Friday, Friday.
I got to check the time on Saturday. Yeah, but
if you go to my Facebook page, I have it.
I have a listed in our ex Health and Fitness
if you go to there.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Because that's I want to come out myself and check
it out.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Think that sounds really great.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
I really do believe in preventive Like to me, that's
really the most important thing. And the whole concept of
just treating is just constantly treating, treating, treating, And to me,
obviously I do nutrition. Nutrition is the most important thing
to me in my life, Like I just find that
to be important. But activity is really important too. So
we're gonna come back. I'm going to talk about obviously
(21:24):
everything that's coming up in summer's here. Go to my
trim line dot com. I have a wonderful twelve week
program short term. Whether you're on shots or not shots,
your nutrition is the key. Go to my trimline dot
com book that fifteen minute free chat. We're going to

Nadia at mytrimline dot com and email and shoot me
an email whatever you want to talk about, whatever questions
you have. But before we took a break, you have
an event coming up and please tell what's what's it about?
And it's free, right, So if somebody is really interested,
what would it be for them to do?
Speaker 3 (22:39):
And if they show up, what's going to happen?
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Yeah, So it's our Health and Fitness. It's an open house,
so we're having all right. So we just opened up
about a month month and a half ago. The open
house is Friday, April seventeenth from eleven to five and
then also Saturday April eighteenth, eight to twelve. So come
on out. What it is is how our ex health
and fitness is different is because it's physician goided. So
(23:04):
our physician, doctor Thomas, he can help God which way
the program is designed. So I'm an excessiologist and stuff,
so I'll design the program. But with his knowledge of
hey day, they have this condition, they have this co mobility,
this this and this that we work together to design
the program based for that individual. So no programs are
(23:25):
the same. They're all based on each individual getting the
things to help them get off the medication, get out
of pain, get whatever so they can live the healthy life.
And I always say, hey, if you're a parent, why would
you not want to spend time with your kids and
run around with them and throw the ball. And if
you're a grandparent, the same thing, why wouldn't you I
want to go to the games, I just don't want
(23:45):
to sit there. And I see so many grandparents go
carry their chairs. It takes them like twenty years to
get across the field to sit down. And I'm like,
we need to be better, you know what I mean.
We need to be the example we want our kids
to live. We don't want these kids, you know, following
always in our footsteps. So we have to set the example.
And this is a great way to do it because
doctor Thomas is phenomenal. People love him. He's a great
(24:07):
guy that people who also work there, all the other
employees are phenomenal as well. But we just want to
change people's mindset and how they see fitness. Isn't about oh,
I got to beat myself into the ground and that's
going to make me better, not at all like we
talked about earlier. It's a mental, spiritual, and physical type thing.
To bring that all together under one roof.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
And you know, it's not about I mean, I see
a lot of people at the gym or in general
that are just like grueling, grueling, grueling workouts, right, and
they don't really look that fit unfortunately. And so but
also we have a lot of people that are listening
or my clients that are anywhere, I'm going to say
probably more fifty and up like so I am, you
know my age and higher, and you know the thought
(24:50):
process that you said before on our last segment, you're like,
what we're kind of think it should be. I can't
remember your terminology, Like how how we think that it's
supposed to be right? Like part of like something so
minute of you know, people thinking that there's a meat
and potato right, Like for general, you're raised on having
a protein possibly a vegetable, which is vegetable for most
(25:12):
people were a corner a potato or something like that, right,
And that's how they kind of mentally thought that that's
how you get raised right. And I tell people, I
broke that cycle with me, like I really just wanted
to break that cycle. And it's a I guess, a
disposition of thinking that's really how your life is supposed
to be, right, that that's what the norm is, and
(25:34):
the norm is really not like that. Like for for
women when they go through menopause or pre menopause or
you know, post might whatever, we're told that, oh, you're
gonna get you're gonna gain weight, you're going to you know,
not be tired all the time, you're going to be this.
And I tell people, don't let what's out there, but
people tell you how you're going to feel. And that's
(25:56):
the mental part, Like don't tell lone. Let people tell
you how are you going to feel? What your body's
going to go through. I mean, I went through menopause.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Yeah. Was it fun? Of course not.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
But at the same time, I'm like, I took a
gain control over it. I lost ten or twelve pounds
through a menopause, and I'm like, you know, I'm not
gonna let society or doctors or whatever or whatever the
norm is out there to be like, yeah, you're supposed
to look crumpy and gain weight and you know, not
be be tired and not be strong as a female, especially.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
When we can absolutely be that.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
And and all of it is really geared toward medications.
You know, I get it. There's some people out there
that absolutely need it. I actually met with a lot
of people this past week that had started the shots
or they want to start the shots, and you know,
and I talked to especially this one guy, and there
was a woman too, but that you know, when I
went through their day and they talked about it, their
(26:51):
eating was bad, okay, and they knew that it was bad, right,
And they say, I started the shots because I want
to get rid of that food noise. And I know
that the shots do get rid of it. So basically
it makes you not want to crave things as much
and makes you not think about food as much, right,
which is fine, I get it. It does have some
benefits of you, let's say, losing weight, but coming off
(27:14):
your medication, maybe you're diabetic. But the other path factor
of it is then what you're going to do. You
want to be on that for rest of your life, right,
And eventually I think some people should be so smart
about it that hey, I need to eventually not be
taking this shot. And it baffles me that people are
okay to then, you know, once they lost the weight,
(27:35):
and some people look absolutely horrible.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
They really really do that.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
They're like, well I'm still going to do it like
every other week or once a month, Like how does
people's brain works that? Okay, well, nutrition's got to be
in there, right, some sort of activity of you taking
care of yourself should be in there. But it's like
and then they put that block in there. But hey,
this medication is going to help me. And I've met
people that are on like four four five three four
(28:01):
five six medications and I'm like, what is this for?
Speaker 3 (28:03):
And they go, oh, I don't know, my doctor told
me to take it.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
I'm like what seriously, Like, you're taking a medication that
you have zero clue why you're taking it, and you're
just taking it because you done your doctor told you
to take it.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
I mean, sometimes I think our trust on our doctor
is a little too much.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
And I think it's because just the whole doctor thing,
I mean, you know, from I don't know, without decades
and decades of thinking doctors know everything. Doctors are the
best thing that they're looking for you for your best ability.
And I'm not saying they're not. I'm just saying a
lot of them are not trained or gone to school
to prevent right, not at all.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
I know that for a fact. I've talked to a
couple of doctors. That's not what they're trained to do.
The trained in pharmacy, the majority of it is based
on pharmaceuticals. What compound works here, What compound works are nutrition?
They very little knowledge of because they're just not in
that unless they go into it on their own outside
of what they're schooling is. And I think that I
think you brought up a very good point. We are
(29:03):
so trusting and everybody else taking care of us, yet
we get taking Maybe it's because we don't want to
put the blame on ourselves. So something goes wrong.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
It's easy, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (29:12):
But also isn't it easier somebody else to fix your problem?
Fix your problem?
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Correct? And like you said earlier, I want to take
the shot, okay, to not crave something. The hardest, harder
thing to do would be how do I mentally overcome that,
because in the long run I'm going to be ten
thousand times better because I didn't put anything not natural
my body to stop me from doing something. Is it
going to be harder? This is what I tell people.
(29:39):
I had a person come in the other day and
they had some kind of issue with their back, and
the doctor says, we're going to do surger on your back.
And I looked at him and I say, he said,
do you think we can get better? I said, oh,
I know you can get better. I said, But he's
he wants to cut you because in three or four
weeks she'll start to feel better because she'll put something
in you, you know, some device in you, and you'll
start to feel better. You know, you'll have the pain.
(30:01):
But if you do it the way I'm going to
show you, it might take his six months, might take
his seven months, like I had when I had hip
and back pain. I didn't go to the doctor. The
doctor wanted to do X, Y and Z to me.
I didn't. I figured it out. But here's the thing is,
six years later from when I had the issue, it's
your pain because now I figured out how my body works.
And when something starts to go off guts what I do,
(30:22):
I can recorrect it. When I just never would talk
that because the doctor just put this device in me.
Now something else starts to break, I gotta run to
the doctor again. Instead of figuring these things out, people
are so busy with social media, with on their phones
and their computers, they forgot to think about how to
take care of their own self. One of the greatest
(30:42):
things you can do is be outside in the woods.
Go for a hike. Everybody should go for hike at
least once a week, if not more, and see who
you really are. Can you handle going up a hill?
It's this hard? What am I listening to? Why? Because
it gets you reconnected with who you are. And I
think if people really started to reconnect with who they are,
you could eliminate most of your problems. And it's just
(31:03):
it's fascinating what you can learn.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
But you know, it's such a beautiful way of finding
yourself and living your life. Definitely a more peace I
think that that's what I have really noticed in the
past like three or four years, that when I try
to get to know myself, you know, just just be
connected more to myself and obviously you know spiritually too.
(31:27):
That's very extremely has become important to me in the
last two years that I find that I'm honestly, I'm
getting to be more at peace, you know that. And
I'm very considering more in control. I think that's like
and I don't know, I'm a little bit of control
fortive again with but you know, control in a good way.
Control and like what am I putting into my body?
And I think all of that is really geared toward
(31:48):
getting to know yourself. When people come to me, I
tell them that I want you to love the journey
of this. This isn't a even though I'm a weight
loss place, this isn't about weight loss.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
This isn't about the number on the scale. Well, I say, whatever.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
I'm gonna teach you to lose your weight, you're going
to do for the rest of your life. You're not
doing this just to lose your weight. This is the
I think the whole problem is that you're not doing
this just to lose your weight. What I'm teaching you,
you're going, I'm gonna pound it in your into your
head every week because behavioral modification takes time, because I
want you to be able to continue to do it
(32:22):
for the rest of your life. If you're doing something
to lose your weight, but then you're gonna do something else,
it's not don't work. So that means you're doing a fad,
you're doing a diet, you're doing a gimmick, and then
when you stop it, you're gonna go back to what
you used to do, and then you're gonna gain all
the weight back and all the pressure, all the issues,
all the diabetes. If you're you're not diabetic anymore, you're
(32:43):
geting to wait back and become diabetic again. So it's
it's just how I want people to understand. What you're
doing to lose weight, you're gonna have to do for
rest of your life. So if you're gonna shot, if
you're doing things like that, that means you're gonna you
have to say to yourself, I'm gonna have to take
this shot for the rest of my life.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Maybe it's not once a.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Week anymore, maybe it's once every two weeks or once
a month. You're still gonna have to do it, But
there is and it's not that hard. People think doing
it through nutrition or doing it the right way, the
healthy way, is really hard. But I will promise you
and guarantee you, I swear to you it is not
that hard and you will feel so so amazing. So
(33:20):
you know, you can definitely go to my trimline dot com.
You can reach out to Coach Bras. Don't do not
forget about the seventeenth. In the eighteenth the it's free,
come and show up. I we would love to meet you.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Will tell you the days and the times and where
we will come back from the break, Let's get.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Back to the My trim Line Radio show with Nadia
on use Radio dou w HP five eighty.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Hello and welcome back, and thank you so much for
listening again. If you missed the show at the beginning,
you can always go to WHP five eight and look
up My Trimline with Nadia and listen to any show
you would like. I do have the wonderful Coach breaks
here and thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
I appreciate I really do. And you know, I and
I know obviously you're a man, I'm a woman.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
I get that. Everybody sees it, everybody knows it, but
I do want.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
To be is it well, it's a ridiculous question, but
I think part of me really wants to be pretty
strong for who I am right so meaning a woman
in our mid fifties post metapause, you know.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
And and I don't think I.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
Worry about it, but I think I really want to
be able to age gracefully and age healthy. So it's
always on my mind if I need to do more,
you know, if I if I need to you know,
like like you're talking about the person that you're partnered
with in a sense of kind of healing yourself a
little bit more, or for me to be more aware,
(34:45):
like like I feel like maybe there's something going on
with me that I don't know about, and then how
can I prevent whatever's happening now. I'm not I don't
overthink it. It's not like I'm thinking, you know, oh
my gosh, I'm gonna fall apart or something like that.
But I think part of us should really challenge lenge
ourselves to do better, you know, to take care of us,
take care of ourselves better, and then be able to
(35:08):
be like, Okay, what can I do better? As I'm aging,
you know, hopefully gracefully. And I always tell people I've
lived longer than I'm going to live, you know, I mean,
unless God lets me live to one hundred and ten.
And I know you said anybody can live with very
thousands of years or maybe hundreds of years. One hundred
and twenty is good, Okay, yeah, I mean, and you
know nobody can even fathom that, But I did research.
(35:28):
I told you that that somebody lived to one hundred
and twenty two. And I'm not saying that I want
to live to one hundred and twenty. Depends on how
you know, what's going on with me. But I think
I think that is something we all need to kind
of start thinking about that living our lives healthier and
not think that okay, just because we're seventy, we're really
old and might as well just you know whether away right, correct.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
I just I feel I hate.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
That if anybody thinks that, whether it's a female or
a male, if you're in your sixties or seventies, or
eight eighties. I just feel like nobody should think that way,
and a part of it is our mental state that
we've been talking about correctly.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
And I think that's one of the big things I think.
You know, when I look at and do a lot
of my research over the last six to seven years
and change from what I used to think that what
I think now is that, you know, I think we
were designed by God to be very strong. We're supposed
to be strong as we possibly can on it'd say
it's big. That's a different thing. Everybody thinks sides and
strength are the same. I know guys that aren't the
biggest dudes in the world, and they're stronger than you
(36:28):
know their oxes, you know how strong they are. So
I think we're supposed to be designed very strong. We're
also supposed to be designed to be extremely fast. Now,
what does fast look like for one person to another
is always something different. But we're not supposed to be
slowing down. They do have in some of my research
when I started researching on dementia, people who start to
(36:49):
slow down walking, they're starting into the early phases of dementia.
People don't know this. This is not an old age thing.
It's actually a sign of dementia that their bodies are
slowing down, the brain slowing down, so then they're start
to slow down. So when you start to see that,
that should be a worry sign. But if you can
keep yourself moving faster, you guess what, you start to
mitigate the chances of dementia. So there's so many different
(37:11):
things that we could do to help stop so many
of these so disease, whatever illnesses or whatever, but we're
not willing to do it because, like you mentioned earlier,
it's there are challenges and physically, mentally and spiritually it
is it's going to be tough at times. Not all
the time. It's not as tough as we think, but
it will be tough at times. There's going to be
(37:32):
times that you don't feel right, you know, you feel off,
but you still got to push through it, you know,
and that's just part of life.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
You know.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Not every day is going to be sunny in seventy
like it is today. We know we went through a
winter of ten and you know, cold and gray skies
every single day. That's tough. You have to push through
those things, but it doesn't mean you stop doing it.
And I see so many people. And I know you're
going to mention about it in the summer. Everybody thinks
they're going to get in shape in the summer because
it's nice. Now that's not true at all. Typically, yes,
(38:00):
and probably Springer a little bit easier because people like
to be outside. It's you know, not as hot as
stuff whin or nobody likes to go outside I think
anymore because I never see anybody. Especially, That's why I
like to hike in the winter, because nobody's on the trails.
It's just me and me and my dog. But that's
what the whole thing is. You know why where where
is the breakdown in the mental part of your aspect
and start to focus on that. But we said it
(38:22):
earlier in one of our earlier segments. We have to
start seeing who we really are. Correct, everybody's different.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
I gotta face yourself, honestly.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
You have to look in the I mean I tell
people in the morning, when you think about your kids,
your grandchildren, your your work, your whatever. You maybe a
caregiver to your parents when you have so much, just
think about other people. Do you have to look yourself
in the mirror and ask yourself what's going to make
me happy today? What's going to make me happy today?
You've got to ask yourself that and to be like,
(38:52):
what's going to make you happy today? That you're going
to focus on yourself a little bit more. And when
you said being strong no matter what size, I think strong.
It's physical obviously, but also strong mentally. I think God
was meant to, you know, make a strong both ways.
I think we're supposed to be strong, not just physically.
And I'm not like you said, I'm You're always going
(39:13):
to be stronger than me, honestly, like like if you
you as a man, anatomically how you built. No matter
how much I work, unless I start putting crap in
my body, I don't want to, right, you know what
I'm talking about right, which I will never ever, But
there is no woman that's going to be like or
talking like buffed big time and be able to naturally
be stronger than you. Like I'm five ft two, I'm
(39:36):
very petite. No matter how much I work out or
lift weights, you're going to be stronger than me. Right,
And that's what you were saying. It's not about size,
it's about it's about strength of your own ability. Like
I'm pretty strong for my for who I am. Okay,
I know that people say that to me and so
strength wise, but what I've been really working on is
to be stronger in my mind. Like that's something I've
(39:58):
been working on on. See, I think since I was
overweight when I was fourteen, you know, because that's part
that I've been really working on for a long time,
to be mentally stronger, to be able to overcome you know,
all the things out there that are just awful, right
that they tempt us. There's a lot of temptation out there,
(40:19):
you know, whether it's commercials, whether you you know, I
went to to reguments last week and I was trying
to get some What was I trying to get. I
was trying to get something healthy, just stuff, you know,
and a nice piece of meat, piece of salmon, all
that kind of stuff. And of course I went by
the bakery area, okay, and I'm just like, I'm thinking
to my and I love bread, don't get me wrong,
(40:40):
but I love sweets too. It. I love anything you
can possibly imagine. I'm a I'm a normal human being,
and I'm like, just just walk by it, Just walk
by it, Just walk by it. Don't look at it,
and I'm like, h sour dough bread, And I'm like.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
Sour dough bread is so good for you.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
But last time I got the sour dough bread, I
pretty much ate the whole thing, not in the sitting,
but I finished it in a week, right, and I'm like,
now not this time, right. So it's it's about moderation,
and it's about honestly, for me, it was seeing can
I go through it? Because I don't have to go
that direction. Can I go through it? And I pick
(41:14):
up something like I like to challenge myself to see
if I can mentally overcome things that are tempting to me.
And I think when you when you talk about like
going to the woods and which I love you so
hike and I got to get back into it. I
think that's really great of you finding yourself and getting
connected with yourself. So I love that. I really need
(41:36):
to start doing hiking a little bit more. But summer
is not a good time to really honestly lose weight.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
I can tell you.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Everybody tells me that summer is the time that they're
gonna lose weight.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
They're gonna go out and be more.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Active, they're going to you know, go swimming, They're going
to do whatever. But believe it, if you research, summers
actually one of the toughest times to do it because
people go on vacations. There's weekend camping that happens, and
you know, small and whatever you want to talk.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
You know, drinking, obviously, drinking is the big one.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Picnics, you know, events and summer and they think they're
going to go out into activity, but then oh gosh,
it's too hot.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
I'm not going to do it.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
And then you know, you go swimming, and swimming is great,
but not a lot of people are taking laps, you know,
they're not like swimming like an activity.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
I mean, do you agree that summer?
Speaker 4 (42:21):
Yeah, I think we've gotten into a culture because of
what has happened in the last thirty years of the
air conditioning. Oh my gosh, so air conditioning has made
life more comfortable than I which I can't stand. I
hate this whole comfortable stuff that we everybody tries to
get this mindset of we have to be comfortable. No,
we don't have to be comfortable. You don't grow when
you're comfortable. You grow when you're not comfortable. And how
do we know that? Because a baby. A baby cries
(42:43):
when teeth are growing and they're uncomfortable, but they're growing,
or when they go through the growth spurts, they're crying,
they're uncomfortable, but they're getting better. So I don't know
why as adults we go to the exact opposite and say, hey,
I want to get better, but I just want to
be live comfortable. That's the worst thing to do. So
air conditioning has definitely done something because people don't come
out of their house now. So even if they say
they're going to and they're not going out it's ninety
degrees outside, they sit inside because everybody tells you. But
(43:05):
then again the news tells you all the sun is
bad for you. Going outside you might have something happen
to you. So it's just ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
Yeah, and again mind over matter, honestly, and I think
those those are two things that I mean you and
I teach is mind over matter. You do a physically
aspect of it and I do mentally aspect of it.
And if they want to come out and see you,
it's the seventeenth and.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
The eighteen seventeenth, eighteenth out of the Platinum, it's seventy
fifteen Jonestown Road on Route twenty.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Two and Friday it's from eleven to.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
Five and Saturday twelve to or I'm sorry eight.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
To twelve eighty twelve.
Speaker 2 (43:35):
