Hello everyone, and happy Sunday to you. I hope you're
enjoying your weekend. Let me tell you something. This was
one busy weekend. A lot of fun facts and fun
pack stuff. And you know I have my partner in
crime here, my my ying to my yang is that?
Is that how you say it?
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Okay, my my bun to my hot dog. I don't know,
well we have that are already aren't already?
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Like has a head an? Here we go.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Because you know the only reason I'm saying because we
had a hot dog. I haven't had a hot dog
in such a long time.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
So good. We shared a chili dog and a sauerkrawd dog.
So we had half and half half and half. And
because you're good. Because we women can't.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Decide what we want one at all, so we decided
to you know, split it. It was very good. My
stomach feels a little funky right now.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
But other than that, not good, not good, not good people.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I'm sure everybody knows you by now, staff, but please
tell everybody who you are and why you keep hanging
out with me.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Hi, everyone, I'm back. I'm Stephanie Harshbarger. I'm a nurse
practitioner Your Best Life, MD, and we do a variety
of things at our practice such as botox fillers, lasers,
weight loss injections in combination with you of course, for nutrition,
(01:47):
ivy therapy, hormone replacement therapy. So just the whole gamut
to live your best life?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Isn't that wonderful? And you know, like, if you're going
somewhere else to do any of this and you're like
them and that was a lot of stuff going on,
you can actually there's a free consult right absolutely, and
they come in or they can do it virtually or
not come in.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Come in, especially if they're doing something with their face,
then I really need to see them and evaluate what
they need.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, and it's a free consult you guys, don't change
charge anything. They can get to know you. You can
say and whatever you need. You know, she's not going
to suggest to you. Oh, by the way, let's let's
attach this to it. Let's attach There's places where you
go like I go for whatever. If I go for
one thing, they want to like sell me like five
others things. Wherever you got it, You don't. You guys
don't do no at all.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I like natural and they can come in and say, oh,
I think I need my cheeks done. No, you're good.
You're good. I'll see in a couple of months. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I mean sometimes you even don't you tell people like
your patients, not really, because some people want to go
a little bit crazy with this and you're like, I
don't think so.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Especially lips. People go nuts with lips. Really. Yeah. They
look like lips on a stick, and it's like, now
you're good, You're you're totally good.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
You know.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
It's like one of those like those you know those
so you know when you go to a party and
they have those booths for potures and you always have
that lips on a stick with that one. Yeah, that's
the only time my lips have looked big is when
I put one of those.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Wax lips when we were little. They were so good
the wax lips that we could then chew it up
and spit it out. That's all you did.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
You couldn't swallow that, ba Those like awful. But you know,
we actually are going to be on good Day, Pa,
synk of the Mile, right yea, So Tuesday from ten
to eleven somewhere.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
In there, come party with us, exactly.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
You can watch us. And I know that seven seven
I always talk about we talk about alcohol a lot,
but honestly, we do do it in moderation.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
We absolutely do it in moderation. And we have jobs, Okay,
like I don't. We don't drink through the week Oh gosh.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
No, I don't, that's like no. But over the weekends,
you know, we do, and we don't go crazy. I
mean we don't. We've done crazy a couple of times
here and there.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
But other than that.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
But we're going to be making skinny margaritas and obviously
you can make them with alcohol or without. So it
will be on Syncle to Mind, which is obviously May fifth,
and we'll be there with Amy Kim and you know,
good day, Pa, you can see us. We're gonna be festive,
we're gonna have festive tops, We're gonna have festive things,
and we're going to make some margaritas and shake it
up and talk about how you can get ready for
(04:14):
somewhere honestly at the same time, which we're gonna be
talking about that now too. And you know when we
were talking to you and I you actually the I'm sorry,
the IPLs is that what it's called pl yep. So
that really is something that people can kind of take
advantage of, especially because there's a more for sunspots or
anything they are.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
So an IPL is very popular right now. It's popular
during this time. So IPL stands for intense pulse late
and now is the best the ideal time just started.
So if you've been noticing sun spots, redness, uneven skin tone,
or those little broken capillaries, IPL is a game changer.
(04:56):
So it works by targeting the pigment and vascular concerns
beneath the skin and helping to create a clearer, brighter,
more even complexion. So I just had you guys can't
see this, but ready a can. So I did an
IPL of my arms a week and a half ago.
So now when you look at my arms, I have
(05:16):
I have a ton of sun damage because back in
the eighties we did the Hawaiian tropic SPF of two.
God forbid you even us an SPF of two. It
was more like baby oil or baby oil babye with iodine. Yeah,
on the aluminum foil blanket and laying on you know,
we're laying out on the top of my neighbor's roof
on these blankets like sizzle, what bacon like bacon. Yeah.
(05:42):
So with the IPO, it's just going to help with
those those sun spots and broken capillaries, just even out
your skin tone. Ipl is really good and it's not
something that you have a lot of downtime with as well.
So the day you do it, that day you're a
little red. The next day you can put makeup on.
You don't want to be out in the sun or
(06:04):
go in any like do any vigorous exercise or hot
tubs or saunas or anything like that.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
But one day, right, it's just for one day, the
next day, one day, one day, And that's really great.
So that if you have like a lot of sun
spots on your face or maybe even.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Your chest, off your back. Yeah, and what do they
used to call them liver spots. Yeah, so like a
sun spot or some people call it a liver spot,
the sun freckles. It will get rid of all of that.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
That's really nice. And you guys have a good packages
if some people.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Want to arms, because a lot of people need more
than one treatment as well, Like I definitely do. I
mean we're talking extensive sun damage on this pod. Wow. Yeah,
And I remember those days.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
I mean, you know, you might want to eat bacon,
but you want to look like bacon, so that that's
not that's like the fry, you know, every time, because
you know, you have your back to art and I
can see art. I just wished it was a camera
on art expressions so I can.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
See so that you can see are too.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
But that way we can just have arts expressions on
what we talk about.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Next time, I'm gonna slide this over there on haven't
me heard like beside me?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
That would be like, let me the way to do it.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
And then we'll stare at art. Yeah, that's not that's not.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Freaky at all. That's not that's not uncomfortable for poor
art at all. But you know, we know obviously that
there's a lot of people out there and and that's
something we can talk about on good Day Pay two.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I put like a I had a mass.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Marketing you know, just to contact my own contacts for
seventeen years that I owned the business now and just
asking people if they're on the shots or they're not
on the shots, so they're looking for nutrition. And let
me tell you, I mean those people that did respond,
they a lot of people are doing the shots right now.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
You have to wait.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Lot of shots, right They're very popular, very popular, and
but you know, not a lot of people are putting
nutrition with it. Now. The smart people are. I got
to tell you that, not because I own a nutrition business,
but honestly, it truly is a no brainer. The smart
thing to do is put the weight lost shots with
nutrition because it just I mean, do you agree, like,
(08:05):
don't I agree?
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Nutrition is key. Without nutrition, you lose muscle instead of fat.
And that's what leads to what is known as skinny
but soft look. And we've all heard of the skinny
but soft you know, skinny but soft. Yeah, but is
pills very dope? Boy?
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (08:23):
You like that? Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
And you know skinny skinny and soft is you want
to let's say you've lost a lot of weight, but
you lost a lot of your muscle mass. And the
skinny soft thing is is that, Yeah, you look like
you lost weight. You look say lean or skinny, your
but thin. Yeah, your things smaller, correct, but you're not stronger.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Okay, you're not lean.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Your body fat is your muscle mass is gone. And
keep in mind that when you lose your muscle mass,
your strength is going to go with it. Right, So
opening up a jar or if you fall, you're gonna
break something very very quickly. You know, women and men too,
But I really want women to get into the notion
(09:06):
of strength. Okay, not a bodybuilder. I mean, I don't
know why people think when I talk about strength for
women that you're looking to be like this buff going
to the gym, you know, person, That's not what I'm
talking about. You can still be thin, you can still
be lean, you can still be skinny, but you could
be strong like that. That is I mean, and strength
(09:28):
is everything. Strength is related. I did it show a
long time ago on your on your grip strength. Right,
So if you can't hang yourself for less than like
we're talking not a minute, okay, Like, if you can't
if you you know those old school, like the monkey
bars that we used to do. Just take a bar
and just hang. Women should be able to do that
for a minute and a half.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Okay, we have one in the basement. We're gonna video
each other.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Oh that's nice.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I have.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I have a feeling you can do if we're doing
it tonight when we go out to dinner or dinner
and then or you know, like what I one night
or next Friday would to dinner and don't don't make
me drink and do that. That's not going to know,
that's not going to be safe at all.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
I don't think you'll hang for a minute and a half.
I did it.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I did it with Tom Russell. Oh wow, yeah, Tom
Russell and coach Brex Yeah. I did it for one
minute and forty eight seconds.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Wow. I know.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I don't think I do it anymore though that was
a long time ago. That was when I was young.
Like last year, it's a minute and a half.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Oh yeah, you could. I'm telling you it is not easy.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
But your grip strength is related to everything, your chest strength,
but also it's one hundred percent related to Alzheimer's and dementia.
And if you don't have strong grip strength. They saying
like pretty much almost one hundred percent, you're going to
get it down the road. So we want to come
back and talk about that. So absolutely reach out to
Steph on Your Best Life MD. You can go to
the website. You can go to my trim line dot com.
(10:47):
We're going to do a twelve week wellness plan. You
get fifty percent off right now. But honestly, I tell
I said this on air. I said, we are better
than Geico. It's a fifteen minute chat.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
That's fifteen minutes it to yourself. You to yourself.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Even if you want to just talk to me and
yell at me or ask any questions, it's fifteen minutes
of you and I chatting. Go to my chow mine
dot com and book that for you chat. We're gonna
take a break and be right back.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Now back to the My trim Wine Radio Show with
Nadia here on news radio w HP five eighty.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Hell and welcome back, and thank you so much for listening.
I have the wonderful staff here from Your Best Life MD.
She is definitely my partner in crime. You do you
do get me in trouble a lot? You know that
you do?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
I no I don't. Yes, you do. You made me
in trouble too.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, you forced me to buy stuff that I didn't
want to buy. It was called clothes. Okay, I do
not like I have a problem.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Because you do. I have a problem.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
And you're sharing clothes and you shared your problem with
me that one day. Okay, like way too much.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Oh she spent way more money than I did.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
I wish you never do. Oh my god, I am
I'm a TJ Max girl. Okay, I'm a fashion anthropology.
How can you not can everything at anthropology?
Speaker 2 (12:02):
I like, I'm That was like over a month ago
and I'm still having a heart attack over it.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
I can't believe you didn't take stuff back.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
I'm well, actually it's less than a month. I still
have time. You leave me, I'm going to you think
I'm not going to take these twitive stuff back.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Okay, So you don't know me very well. Nadia likes
to take stuff back. So that evening we decided to
go to the Chris Stapleton concert. Oh my god, she
I'm sharing. So we had already had our tickets, and
her and Salem were getting their tickets and we're all saying,
just press the button. She's like no, She's like, but
I can't get my money back, and we're like, press
(12:36):
the button, press the button. So she didn't hit the button.
So they're going I said, it says no refunds.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
I can't do it, and everybody's like, just press the button.
I'm like, it's a lot of money, Like I don't want.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
To push it. Yeah, you really were bad influenced. I was.
You spent a lot of money that weekend. I know that,
you know, thank god, you'll I live once. I know that.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
I mean, I do work hard, but you know, then
then my taxes came. Lord. Lord, this is like a
bad conversation.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yeah, we're getting into the text. It's just depressed, very
very depressing as a small business owner.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Seriously, like you might as well see people out there think,
you know, I own this business for you know, as
I said, like seventeen years, and I did it for
all the right reasons. To tell you the truth. You know,
my mom was sick for a very long time and
she never took care of herself, and obviously I was overweight,
and I created it to help women, but men obviously too,
to you know, live a healthier life and be around
(13:28):
for their kids and grandchildren healthy. Right, Like if I
go back, I would do so many things differently, Like
people think, oh, yeah, you own a business for that long,
you probably make No, you don't you know the amount
that you put the hours in there, and if you
do it for the right reasons of truly helping people
and not gouging people or you know, being like all
about one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
About money and schmoozing.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I can't be fake if honestly my life depended on it,
I can't. I mean, you have long to know me.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
No, you see what you're with me?
Speaker 2 (13:56):
There is I am what I'm. That's why when people
when they call, like let's say they call books on
line with trimline or they talk to me on the phone,
they're like, you sound exactly like on air like you are.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
I'm like, yeah, what'd you think I was gonna be?
I am when I am?
Speaker 2 (14:07):
I mean, I'm And but you know I lost You
lost forty seven pounds right weight loss shots, and I
lost fifty seven pounds through nutrition And you know, we
we get it. We get it how sometimes get it
how it feels through menopause to you know, what we
are and nutrition. I've nutrition became very important to me
a long long time ago. Now I still wasn't very
(14:28):
good at it. I'm getting better at it, honestly, the
older I'm getting.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
But it's part of our life. We have to eat
to live, Okay. This is that's why food should never
go anywhere. And everything that your body needs is through
your food, Okay. And I know there's a lot of
crappy food and what we do to our foods, especially
in America, is bad. But there are choices you can
make and that's what we really help you at Trimline
to do that, to really decipher through all that crap. Okay,
(14:53):
But if someone is on the shot, I mean, in
your opinion, stufph, does nutrition matter.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Nutrition is the most important thing if you're on the shots,
because the shot helps you eat less, but nutrition determines
what you lose. Without enough protein and nutrients, you're not
just losing fat, You're losing muscle, energy and that healthy.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Glow, because that's really what makes the difference. And you know,
there's people that lose weight and I can tell that
they lose weight and they look dull like I've literally
seen a lot of people I have a lot of
people that are on weight los shots that come to me. Okay,
you send people, right, there's thirty dogs for send their
patients to me. And I can tell the difference between
(15:37):
people who lose the weight on a weight loss shot
and they don't do it healthy.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
And they have the ozempic faces.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Yeah there's an ozmpic butd too, but.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
They're not eating. Yes, I think I have that. I
was just so on skims last night looking up push
up a booty underwear. I'm like, I need a booty.
I have no booty. Am I allowed to say that?
Are booty? You can just do?
Speaker 2 (16:00):
He would have cut us off if that was the case.
He would have liked what is it called the junk button?
What is it called dumb button? Dumb button?
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Dump button? So cool? So I didn't get dumped, then, no, you.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Did not get dumb so but but yeah, I have.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
An I have an ozembic butt. I need to do
squats and things. But I'm sorry, back to what you.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Were talking now, but I want you to go. You
can go work out with me. We can.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
You know.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
You know, for the longest time, my whole family and
anybody that I've ever knew They're like, oh, you have
the flattest butt in the world, which I did. I
had like I had lost weight. Yeah, but you know,
I never had a I never had a butt, you know,
so but not in the past, but but in the past.
It's like, but I know, but I'm like, what's that
a Yeah, like a child, you say one word, you
(16:42):
cagle yourself. That's what I just did. Okay, like a
five year old. But so I did you know, I
did some squats, I do some cycling and stuff like that.
I have one.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Now I'm pretty impressed by it. Well, my one patient,
she walked into the office the other day and I said,
you have the best butt. You have the nicest butt.
So I got a quick little lesson on little things
that she does. But guess what, I went home. Do
you think I did it? No? So I need to
do it because she had she had an amazing butt.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
So she told you what she did to get it.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
She did?
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Was it like lifting and squatting.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Squats with weight small weight, not heavy? She does heavier,
but she said, start with light weight and you do
squats and these different lunches. And I'm like, wow, I
need to do that. So that night I was going
home to do it and I didn't.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
It's consistency though, with everything. You know, like you don't
do it just one time a week and you go
and get this nice butt. Same as you can't eat
healthy one day and imagine that you're going to lose
with and be healthy, right, I mean, it's consistency.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
The only thing I'm absolutely consistent with is botox.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Really jeez, well, but at least you're honest. I love
that you are, but you don't look like see one
thing I love about you is I mean you're honest
number one. Number two, you don't look like you're doing
botox like all the time. I mean, there are some
people out there I'm not going to mention any names
that they look like, holy moly, like they have that
(18:06):
that clown joker face, you know, the joker lips, and
then their cheeks are so high, so puffy, and their
eyes look different. I mean just really, I don't like
that on natural look it doesn't. But you can't even
tell with you, Like when you look at you, you're
like really, I mean you just you look like your
agents really well.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Looks junkie, drunk of choice, and they're honest about it's not.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
So what one thing I really I can't stress this
enough is consistency. Right, whatever you're trying to do, you
have to be consistent with it. And that's the thing.
Like if some of those botoks need to do botox
for like six months, I'm assuming then you're gonna get
your wrinkles back and all of that. You're going to
come back correct. So wait, anything weight training, but eating healthy,
(18:49):
eating healthy out of seven days. This is I say
this to everybody. There are seven days in a week,
a Monday through Sunday. If you eat healthy five days
out of the week, that's consistent. Okay, that means the
other two drink, have a pizza, enjoy your ice cream.
Now do don't go crazy like you're going to try
to squeeze one week of junk food into satur Tuesdays
(19:10):
into days. But at that point are you really trying
to be healthy? So the thing is like I love
to enjoy my weekends. I'm really five five six days
a week, five days a week. I'm pretty healthy, and
I do I do drink over the weekends. I do
have French fries. I love anything sweet. I told you
what a sweet cheek I have So if you become
consistent in your eating and consistent in anything that you do,
(19:34):
you will see results in time. And one thing that
goes by is time. I mean seriously, Summer is here, now,
Summer is here, and then before you know it, November
is going to be here. Before you know it, Christmas
is going to be here. One thing we know, time
does not stop. So if you start now, whether you
go to staff to get you know, the the IPLs,
(19:55):
or you want to get some boytalks, so you want
to get the weight loss shot whatever, and you start
in nutrition, you start now, I guarantee you in less
than two weeks you're gonna have minimum of sevent to
ten pounds off of you, just because that's what I do.
I teach you nutrition, and then I say, with the
quick start, Oh the quick start that I do, you
lose three to five pounds in three days, and it's
(20:16):
all the more you eat actually the better it works.
But so, what is the biggest mistake in your mind
people are making right now when it comes to the
weight loss shots.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
Absolutely with under eating and undernourishing. So people think I'm
not hungry, so I won't eat. That's how you slow
your metabolism, you have hair loss and you feel exhausted.
And I was having that in the beginning because you're
not hungry, so you're not thinking about foods you don't
want to eat. And then I've realized, because I've been
(20:48):
on it for a couple of years, and I'm microdose.
Now you have to eat. I feel so much better,
you know, I'm much healthier. The one thing I did notice,
because I wasn't eating enough protein in the beginning, my
hair is so much thinner.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
And then I would I remember coming home from work,
this was a couple of years ago, and I would
feel so tired and I am not a napper. I
don't take naps, and I would be so exhausted that
I just wanted to take a nap when I got home.
And now I don't.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
I don't have that because you remember every time you
and I know each other for a long time. Yeah,
and you push clothes on me, and I push nutrition
on you, so to eat, I actually push you to eat.
That's the That's the big thing I want to come
back and talk about, obviously, how it can get leaner,
how it can get stronger, how it can look better
(21:41):
when the swimsuits. Our vacations are getaway our shorts, we're
going to be wearing them. We're probably wearing them already.
But how it can really look good and quick, fast
and healthy. So go to my triu man dot com
book that fifteen minute free chat. I'm gonna take a
break and I'll.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Be right back. Welcome back.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
This is the my trim Line Radio show with Nadia
here on news radio DOUBHB five Aby tell them.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
We'll come back.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
And if you just tuned in, I have the most
wonderful ying to my yang. As we said, Steph Harsberger here,
thanks for coming.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Hi everyone. I think everyone knows you. Happy to be here.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
I know you inform us, You make us understand things better.
You know, especially with everything that's going on out there,
that most people are on the shots. I have people
either you're on the shots or you're totally avoiding it.
Do you know there's like there's just you're either on it,
you're thinking about it, or you're like, no freaking way,
I'm going to go near the shots. I mean that's
really what people are kind of where they're at. And
(22:38):
you know, you're very very you do do weight loss shots.
You don't the weight loss shots, so you know, in
and out the in and inside about it, right, I do.
And then before the break and because I know some
people are tuning in right now because some people get
off for church, you know that kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
You're talking about how.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Nutrition was really the most important part and undernutrition that's
me like people that under nerve is, oh, that's that's
my biggest pet peeve that under nourish is just so undeah.
And you know, like you said, affected your.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Hair and you know, clows down your metabolism. So they
think if they don't eat, they're going to lose more weight.
But the complete opposite.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Yeah, and the weightless shots, you know, curbs your appetite.
You're not that hungry, you can't even eat much because
I think it really sometimes for people they feel yeah, yeah,
and that's not good. So there's liquid waights in different
ways that you can do to get your nutrients in.
And you know, that was the biggest mistake that people
really undernourish and they don't and they don't you know,
(23:37):
they under eat. Isn't that crazy that you you actually
should eat to lose weight but also for you to
be healthy. So I always say, weight loss is a number, right,
So there's weight loss and there's fat loss. Weight loss
is a number, and fat loss is where you get lean,
you get you know, kind of sculpted, right, yeah, and
(23:58):
you just look really good and tone and that's like
one thing everybody should want at any time, but definitely
in the summertime, right, this is the time, I mean
even the sound of it, getting lean, getting fit, getting sculpted. Right,
And we're not just skinny, not just yeah, not just
a thing.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
You don't want to be skinny, or you want to
be fit. Who wants to be weak?
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Right, that's the biggest thing. You don't want to look weakly.
And then the problem is not even looking weak. When
you lose your muscle mouse and you don't do it
healthy and you undernourish yourself, you are actually literally are
going to kill your bone density. And the older we get,
we lose it anyways, we really do. So now you're
double whamming yourself in a way of hurting yourself and
(24:41):
getting breaking if God forbid you fall, if you fall,
and you're going to break something and wake it so easily,
and eventually you're not going to even be able to
like lift your grandchildren up, you know, be able to
really get out of a chair or go up steps
or get.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Into a chair.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I mean there's normal everyday life that you're not going
to be able to do because you're totally not eating healthy.
So what should people really be folks in your mind?
What should people really be focusing on?
Speaker 3 (25:08):
I would say three simple things. So protein at every meal?
You know me? Yeah? So you you, I'll do yourself
on the protein.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
I'm a protein pusher.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
But you're also very fit and lean, and your body
is sculpted where I do have a little bit of
the skinny but soft going on. A lot of mine
is skin though, too. But then hydration, like it's your job.
So you need to drink I mean, drink water all
throughout the day. So I am not a soda girl.
I don't drink coffee. I mean I mainly drink water
(25:40):
and I have my yett.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
To drink coffee is astonishing to me. I'm just telling
you coffee, no.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
I So people go to Starbucks for coffee, right, I
go to Starbucks for an ice cream tea. I mean
that's my Starbucks. But I love water. I mean my
body needs water, like I love water. Or I crave water.
It's crazy and different types of water mice like ew, yeah,
that's Nut's not a good water. And I think just
(26:08):
the bottled spring water. Every water tastes different, and I
have my favorites. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Actually, if you look at you you research water or
some waters that are really bad out there. Oh yeah,
And I think one of the major one that's bad
is the sawny just so you know, Oh, I don't
like this. Yeah, don't get the sawny. It's very very bad.
So and actually the other one was vitamin vitamin water.
I think as another one that was not great. There's
a there's a research on that one. I gotta drink
that one, see I do. I do mine through a
(26:33):
filter and my whole house has a filter in there
because I drink I love.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
I do. See people who say they love water.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
There's people out there that think you are nuts, right,
because there are a lot of people that struggle with water.
But one thing about water is is the more you
tune yourself to drink it. Because when you said you
crave water, actually your body wants water then it because
you get dehydrated faster and a sense of your body
really wants it more, it becomes easier and you could
(27:01):
put you know, stuff in it, whether you put I
don't know, crystal light or but there's some really great
there's there's Selsa waters out there. There are a massive
amount of flavored waters out there that you could do it.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
But hydration is really important.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
But I think on the weight loss shots like that's
your mental I mean.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
The thing is, though, with drinking a lot and you're
on the injections, you never want to You want to
drink all throughout the day, but when you sit down
to actually eat your meals, you don't want to drink. Correct,
because it's the band it right, it expands it. So
say if I drank a whole bottle of water, a
whole glass of iced tea or soda or whatever before dinner,
(27:39):
then my meal comes, I'm not going to be able
to eat because it's already sent that signal to my
brain that I'm full. And then you can't eat, which
now you have no fuel, you have no protein, you
have no nutrients for your body, and that's the other
thing that our body needs. The other simple thing is micronutrients.
So that's your vitamins, your minerals and real dude.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
I mean that that is a great point because people think, well, great,
if I drink water, then I'm not going to eat dinner,
and I'm going to eat less. Not eating is the world.
I can't even imagine not eating. I mean, you've hung
out with me for a day.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
I couldn't go a day without eating. I'm like thinking,
I'm having whenever you have your colonoscopy, you can't eat
for a day, what are you going to do? I
almost died.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
I told you that when I had my When I
told you that when I had my colonoscopy, it was
my first one. I didn't know what was it about.
I put it in three in the afternoon because I thought,
I'm gonna go to work, right, I always have to work,
me small business owner. So I'm like, I'll just do
it in the afternoon. I almost died, Like my when
when my boyfriend picked me off to go take me there,
I looked like a freaking dribbling body that could He
(28:42):
probably had to almost carry me.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Okay, that's how much energy I had. Zero energy. I
was hungry. Oh my goodness. Nobody could come near me
at that point, and I'm like, what in the world
did I do.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
I can't, and anybody that hangs out with me, I
eat within an hour that I wake up in the morning,
and I have to eat. If I three, I'm in trouble.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Well, when we picked you up to go to d
C the other weekend, we had breakfast, and I think
we picked you up at eleven thirty eleven twelve, and
we get there and I'm like, oh, I'm hungry. We
were hungry for lunch. And Naudia said, well, before we
even got in the car, she already had two breakfasts.
(29:22):
I did.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
It wasn't two breakfast. It was a breakfast and a
snack breakfast.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
But what what it was?
Speaker 3 (29:27):
Salmon, you guys, salmon at salmon at eight am?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
I did at it at a seven ounce salmon at
ten thirty. Okay, eight am. I had my Greek yo
good with peanut but a powder and honey and cinnamon.
And then then we're driving and you guys like, oh,
we need to eat. We have an eat all morning.
I'm like, what, I already ate twice already. Because I'm sharing.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
We had a protein bar. We did take a protein
you guys had a protein bar. That's true.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
What I'm sharing with you is you don't have to
eat like me. That's what what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Okay, she would weigh five hundred pounds.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
If you like, but no, but because my metabosm is
really high, and you know, I'm in my mid fifties,
so it's not like I'm a spring chicken buy any means.
But I worked on my tabsm being that high, and
you can too. If you're like, well, I can't eat
like that, that's too much food. I individualize everything for you,
everything from the time you get up to the time
to go to bed. But the most important thing is,
(30:19):
like she said, your micronutrients, which is your vitamins, your
minerals and real food. You need to put that into
your body.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
So can you still get the you know?
Speaker 2 (30:28):
And this is people always wonder, I mean diss laid
in the game. You feel like it's this late in
the game, right, Can you still get that tone summer
body on the shots? Sure?
Speaker 3 (30:39):
But only if you protect your muscle so that means
strength training and enough protein. Otherwise you'll just get smaller,
not tighter. So we talked about that, like you'll be smaller,
but then you're not that strong lean, And what do
we say you're strong, you're lean, You're unstoppable, right, Yeah,
we like that.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
We like that because I think you can become summer fit.
And I know everybody really because some are honestly, you're
wearing you're wearing less clothes, right and if you're like me,
you're just dying of heat because you're going still through
menopause ten years later and just crazy. You know that
shirt you gave me one shirt. It was really thin,
(31:20):
and you know I had teny little sleeves on it.
I can't wear anything with sleeve anymore.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
And I had to ask you. I'm like, do it.
I need to dry, dry, clean and.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Give it back to you. I don't because I am
constantly hot. Like I'm constantly hot in summertime. I just
almost die because I used to love summer. I used
to love summer and I still do, but menopause has
made a little bit harder.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
So we do.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
We do wear less clothes.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
You know, you have your shirts, you got you you
want to look not just summer body happy, but you're
life happy. Like we're whatever I tell people, whatever I
teach you to lose your weight, you're going to do
that for the rest of your life right, right, So
whatever you're doing to lose your weight, meaning let's say
it's shots or keto or inimitte fasting or or liquids.
(32:03):
You know, people do bars and shakes or whatever constantly
for a month or anything like that. If you're in
your mind you're thinking that's not what I'm going to
do for the rest of my life, then it's a
temporary fix. That to band aid that when you go
back to doing what you used to do, you're going
to gain the weight back.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
And that's why they need you, because you teach the
nutrition component of it so that way you can sustain this.
But it's not really about we need to learn to
eat healthy, but it's a lifestyle. I mean, you make
the right choices then, because I know, whatever I eat,
if I'm eating crappy a lot throughout the day, I
(32:42):
feel horrible. Everything feels horrible, My belly feels horrible, like
I have a headache, everything just feels horrible. Whereas when
you eat healthy or I just think you feel better,
you do and.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
People feel like it's sometimes hard to do so, but
I'm telling you, and I promise you it isn't.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
I will make it.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
It's so so easy for you and then for you
not to feel like I'm constantly feeling full. I can't
eat enough. I individualize everything, and there's the way to do.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
I have to eat again.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Yeah, and but I'll make it easy, you know, because
some people don't eat much. I know that, I mean
they don't, so we really gear the program towards them
that they can't eat much. Not a lot of people,
especially women, are not like me, right, But there's a
lot of women that eat a lot, but they eat
a lot of junk and high carb and show bad food, right,
And we can change all of that gradually to sustain it.
So you can go to your best live MD check

with Nadia on use Radio DOUBHP five eighty Helen.

I have a wonderful stuff here.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Steph.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Remind everybody what you do.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
I am a nurse practitioner at Your Best Life MD,
and I love to do fillers in botox and lasers
weight management in combination with you love It IV Therapy
page in York. In our York office. She does the
bioidentical hormones very nice am. I do B twelve injections,
(34:34):
Vitamin D injections for bone health, which I actually am
on a Vitamin D three supplement because of my bone
which I'm sure some of it is age, but it's
also from when I started doing the injections, I was
not I was not eating right, not at all. I
wasn't getting enough protein. My body wasn't getting enough nutrients
(34:57):
because I wasn't hungry. So I one need I mean
the way, but not really fast. I mean it took
me almost a year. You're not Yeah, it was probably well, well.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
I saw you one time, then like next time I
saw you were like pretty fah it was it was
probably ten months. Yeah, And you know, the nutrients why
do we lose weight are not it's it's very important
for our body to begin with. But you know, with
with the and we're talking about the weight loss because shots,
because honestly, I don't care if you're doing it obviously
because I you know, a good friend of mine and
(35:29):
we're talking about doing it.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
But my thing is you really need to just put
it with nutrition.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
So weight loss shots are everywhere, right now, we know that,
but are they truly the shortcutter of that?
Speaker 3 (35:39):
Everyoney thinks No, They're not a short cut. They're an
appetite suppressor with consequences. So the medications like turns appetide
and semi glow tide will help you eat less, but
they won't stop you from losing the wrong weight. What
do you mean by wrong weight? Your muscle, hair, skin quality.
(36:00):
People are getting skinny but also softer, weaker, and more depleted.
That flat look that's not fat loss, that's muscle loss.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Oh and that is just that looks that goes through
me because I seriously want women. I mean, men have
more muscle naturally than we do. But I really want
women to be strong.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
And I'm not taking this has nothing to do.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
With bodybuilding, body lifting, lifting whatever, like a fifty pound
weight or something. Strong as in picking up your grandchildren,
strong as in being able to pick up a case
of you know, whatever, you got it. I mean for
you to be able to really have strength, a capability
of doing normal everyday things. And if you don't do it,
(36:43):
you are not gonna have it. You feel like you don't.
But next time, I want to try to carry a
twenty twenty or three, you know those case of bottles
which I don't buy any more from Costco. I mean,
try to carry that. I really want to know how
somebody carry and I take it up the steps.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
Okay, So a patient of mine was telling me the
other day what she was doing was she would carry
when she was in the grocery store. And she said
she had this habit of buying things that she didn't need.
So we've all you know, we've all done that, you know,
the temptation aisle that you're throwing stuff in your cart.
(37:15):
So she she would carry around, Now this is from her.
She would carry around a five pound bag of sugar
under her arm while she was grocery shopping, and she's like,
this is five pounds of fat. This is five pounds
of fat. So the more she grocery shop, the heavier
it was. And I said, oh my gosh, that's brilliant.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Actually it would be our purses for us women. I
mean sometimes our purses are like, honestly, right, five yours
is five mine's more than five pounds. You know, I
went from like a tiny perch to like a suitcase
that I'm carrying on my shoulder.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Right now, you have your life in your suitcase.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
You know. They do say the bigger your purse is,
the more stuff you put in there. It's absolutely true.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
I have a little bit. I know I can't find
anything in there.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
It's pretty sad. But and you know it's whatever people carry,
whether it's the water or whatever. Your strength needs to
absolutely be there. So this is like kind of it's
not shocking to me.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
I've known this.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
So the scale is dropping, and this is I always say,
but the body isn't improving exactly.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
The scale can lie. You don't want to be a
smaller version of unhealthy. You want to be a stronger,
tighter version of yourself. I love.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
I mean to me, being like, you know, being able
to be strength, being like your skin's not hanging, being
able to And I'm not saying we need to be
a model and it has to be really, but we're
talking just to look a little healthy and look a
little lean. That's what it means to be. You know,
you want to look stronger, tighter version of yourself. I
love that.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
I absoutely love that. So what's the biggest red flag
that you're seeing?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
And all of these weight loss shots and things that
people are doing, So.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
People saying, oh, I forgot to eat all day, that's
not that's not a flex that's metabolic sabotage. Your body
still needs to fuel even if your brain isn't asking
for it. And I tell patients that all the time
you need to eat. You need to eat breakfast, lunch,
and dinner, and if you're hungry in between, which they
usually aren't, like, just grab a handful of nuts, grub
(39:09):
something that you're eating. And I said, I always have
even if I'm not hungry throughout the day, I always
eat a protein bar between well after lunch, So between
one and four o'clock. I have a protein bar. I
break it up and I eat little bits of that
throughout the day.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
You have to eat. And you know it is absolutely
when you see a metabolic sabotage, that means you're killing
your metabolism. Okay, and we women don't need that. Nobody
needs that. I know women on a weight los shots.
There's men onto weight los shots, not just us women.
So you have to be able to put that nutrient
and nutrition in your body so that way you can
increase your metabolism. You're sabotaging yourself. I think that is
(39:47):
the biggest thing in the world. Why are you like,
intentionally when people don't put nutrition with the weight loss shots,
you are intentionally hurting your body. Now you think you're
not because you're lost the weight. And let's say, if
you're a diabetic and not diabetic anymore, can I want
the blood pressure medication? Those are all like smoke, smoking,
smoking mirrors. I wasna I hate slangs.
Speaker 3 (40:06):
Anyways, Oh I got it right, thanks art Ar.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
It's like smoking mirrors. I was gonna say smoking daggers.
Good thing I didn't say smoking daggers. I was gonna
say that one. But mirrors came into my mind. Yay, So,
but I mean it is because you're it's really covering.
You're like, well, I've lost weight, I look good, I'm
not diabetic, I don't I'm want blood pressure medication anymore.
But that hidden thing of your muscle mass losing and
(40:28):
you're not getting nutrients in that will come back to
bite you.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
So what do you feel that's the fix? So you
have to outsmart the shot, So prioritize your protein or
your lose muscle. When you lose muscle, I mean, we've
talked about this. You're you're weaker, You're not gonna be
able to lift open, do certain things, and eat intentionally,
not emotionally or accidentally. So plan your meals. Make sure
(40:55):
you're having breakfast, you're having lunch, you're eating dinner. Don't
just eat when you're hungry because on the shots, we
know you're not going to be hungry. Yeap. And then
biggest thing, my biggest regret is not doing strength trainees.
So lift weights or don't expect a toned body because
you're not gonna have it, because you're gonna have the
(41:16):
ozembic butt or you know, saggy arms, flobby legs you
need to lift weights.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Yeah, and lifting weights again, you know we've had people
on here lifting weights doesn't mean you have to go
lift heavy.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
You have to go to a gym.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
There's a million different ways of you doing And if
you're like, wait a minute, then help me reach out.
Go to my trow mine dot com. I can hook
you up with people. You can go meet people one
on one. You don't have to go to a gym.
There's many different ways that you can tone walking, you know,
doing yard work, swimming, There's many many different things and
things that you can do from home and safely that
you can do it, that you can actually do it
(41:50):
at home, so that those are all opportunities of doing that.
And you know, we talked about you know, people thinking,
you know, can you people actually look amazing on the shots.
We talk about the nutritions there and you know, so
give me something that will stick in people's heads, you
know when it comes to all of this.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
So if you don't learn how to eat on the shot,
you're renting your results, not owning them. And I think
that was the perfect saying that somebody said, right, because
you're not if you continue, if you go back to
the way you were eating before you went on the shots.
We all know what happens. That's what I love.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
That you're renting your results, not owning them, and because
it is, it is renting it. I mean once and
I know if you want to be on the weight
loss shot in a microdose or do a maintenance aspect
of it for the rest of your life, that still
does not change of you putting nutrients into your body.
Even if you don't gain the weight back and you
keep doing what you're doing, you are totally damaging your body.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
So that's a powerful, honestly last words.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
That you got.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
And you know summer bodies aren't really built on by
injections alone. If you don't build the habits now, the
weight and the problems come right back.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
The shots stops.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
And you know, for somebody that's a professional like you,
you've been saying that for such a long time, and
even from personal experience, you said, listen, don't do what
