Have a great show.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Energy energy, energy that is like psychopathic place, from magic
to cry to care.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Please don't start talking about it because we need that,
all of us, that indescribable feeling we get and we
go somewhere who has never been before, not just entertained
with some reform together sound that I can feel somehow

(01:07):
hotbreak feels good in a quest like this, Our heroes
feel like the best part of us. Your best stories
don't feel perfect and powerful because here.

Speaker 8 (01:19):
They are.

Speaker 9 (01:21):
Please get started.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
In answer to the talkbackers question, I don't have that.
Right up front, we will be talking about Christy Nome
being ousted from the Homeland Security post, a mid recent turmoil.
That is just one of many topics and issues that
we will be talking about today on a Freedom Friday.
Good morning, my name is John Justice. I'm glad you're

(01:55):
with the show. Sam is in the Master control booth
next door. Good morning, Good morning, not a bad winnery mix.
They were teasing the winterery mix on the way in.
It wasn't freezing. Yeah, I'll take this over ice and
snow and all that anthing. Yeah, I've got a lot
of people that are blaming me if we do get
a bunch of snow because of the conversation that I
had about taking out the weather Tech floor mats in

(02:17):
the car and switching them for the cloth ones. We
got so many emails yesterday about that change in guests
this morning for a Freedom Friday. Unfortunately, Representative Max Raimer
will not be able to join us today, so we're
gonna have both Catherine Johnson and Grace keating from Center

(02:40):
the American Experiment in the American Experiment podcast. They'll be
joining us coming up right around seven o'clock. RNC Committeeman
Ak Kamara should be in just after seven thirty. We
will talk with Representative Tom Emmer in between their arrival,
and as always on a Freedom Friday, we will hear
from you you're on and off topic comments all morning long.

(03:02):
The email address is Justice at iHeartRadio dot com and
if you're listening on the iHeartRadio app. Of course, we
will take your comments all morning long. The talkbacks are
brought to you by Lyndalll Realty.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
Happy Friday, all random guy in southern Minnesota. As I'm
completing my hour and a half drive one way to
help my kit haulcorn, I hear that commercial come on
for ZipRecruiter, and I can't help but giggle a little
bit seeing John jamming away just before the show starts.
So yeah, in peach Walls and have a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Did I missed something over the last couple of days?
I just like the random impeach Walls. Well, speaking to that, Sam,
I'll get you up to speed here. Let's go back
to Let's go to Daryl though.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
First.

Speaker 10 (03:45):
Sure morning John, Daryl, me Dina, ZipRecruiter. Definitely a horse
race over a rock dance. Have a great Friday.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
It's a jam, That's all that it is. It's a jam.
And I'm actually I was kind of I was wondering
what you were doing. I was doing this, you know,
sort of the thumbs up, shoulder rock back and forth,
you know, biting my bottom lip. I was cheering out
the zip Recuder. Okay, I won't do that again. My apologies,

(04:16):
thank you for the comments. It's more rolling into the
iHeartRadio at this morning. Let's go ahead and start here
with the big news. Yesterday, Christinome, former South Dakota congresswoman
and governor who has led President Donald Trump's Department of
Homeland Security in his second term, was ousted from her position. Yesterday,
President Donald Trump made the announcement on True Social he's

(04:36):
nominating a Senator, Mark Wayne Mullen, Republican out of Oklahoma.
To the talkbackers, a question, does a Oklahoma governor get
to choose who takes his place? I do not know
the I'll try to find the answer to that. I
don't know upfront how that process is going to work,

(04:57):
Donald Trump said. The current Secretary of Christinome Wusser as well,
and has had numerous and spectacular results parentheses, especially on
the border exclamation point. You know, I had tried years ago.
It's a freedom Friday. I could do it. I had
tried years ago, you know, doing that thing with my
fingers and here quotes. There was a point in time
where I had I had for parentheses, I had started

(05:21):
doing doing that thing with my palms. But I yeah,
I quickly killed that one off. You know, I think
doing nothing with my fingers is I think it's enough
doing nothing with my palms and watching you do this
with your palms. I was a legitimately doing it. It's

(05:41):
like I'm eating a massive breath, you know, a massive cheeseburger.
That's what it looks like. It looks like I'm eating
a huge, huge cheeseburger doing that thing with my palms.
Oh man, there's your there's your podcast one already for Friday.
So there you go. Yeah, I can tell it's going
to be a morning. All right, let's getting back to
what Trump had had said. Let's see the currents. As

(06:02):
Secretary Christy Nome served as well. She'll be moving to
be the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas,
our new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere. We are
announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. It sounds like he
already did. I thank Christy for her service, and Homeland
will get a little bit more into this. We actually

(06:23):
have the moment at the audio clip of the moment
that she probably lost her her gig. Now Democrats are
dunking on this, and that doesn't surprise me in the
least bit. Let them dunk all day, let them dunk
all they want. There's a big difference, though, and that
is the Trump administration actually holds people within the administration
responsible that things aren't going well. They don't just keep

(06:45):
them around for eternity. And I'll have the examples to
share with you coming up, along with Governor Tim Walls
on MS NOW talking with Jen Saki yesterday.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
President has been clear that our risk is not having.

Speaker 11 (07:00):
A package that's too big, it's having a package that's
too small.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
He too, is attempting to dunk on the removal of
Christy Nome to the post. So I'll share that audio
with you. Coming up in just a moment here on
Twin Cities News Talk, we'll talk a little Lesbie Murphy,
friend of the show, Scott Johnson reporting on the contempt
of court hearing. US attorney interrogated at contempt at hearing

(07:27):
over illegal alien's missing property, Esbie Murphy. I guess feels
as if she's doesn't need to go and follow the
rules of the court. And I'll give you the examples
of what I'm talking about coming up again this hour,
and we'll get to your comments on a Freedom Friday
on and off topic all morning long here on Twin
Cities News Talk Am eleven thirty and one three five FM.

(07:48):
Welcome to Freedom Friday. Good morning, and I love your
show Wayne the City's news Talk.

Speaker 7 (08:00):
Morning John.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Happy for you to be Friday.

Speaker 12 (08:02):
I saw this online last night and I can't get
over it. So the Minnesota state employee vandalizes twenty thousand
dollars as the Tesla's and get one day suspension. Where
Jake Long Orlane, who I don't agree with his tactics,
does a six thousand dollars ice sculpture and he's facing
up to a couple.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Of years in jail. Welcome to Minnesota.

Speaker 7 (08:23):
Make it make sense?

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Yeah, of course, it's the two tiered system of justice.
We talked about that circumstance with the Tesla vandal in
the second hour of yesterday show. So if you missed
any portion of the show, check out to our two
on the podcast available up on the iHeartRadio app. Thank
you to the friends of the show. Doing my work

(08:46):
for me answering the questions of other friends of the
show via the talkbacks.

Speaker 11 (08:51):
Money Jonna Sam I asked my friend Grach this morning
after the question came in a book, can the governor
replace the Mark Wayne Mullen? And in the graph it
says that yes, Kevin Stick can replace and put a
senator in.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
So we should be good, awesome, and thank you for that, Judy,
I am, I greatly greatly appreciate it. Let's get through
a few more of your your thoughts and then we'll
dive back into the reason why Christine No might have
been removed from her position.

Speaker 13 (09:18):
I like to doing that thing with my palms, I
I say, cupping my hands awkwardly.

Speaker 7 (09:24):
It works for me kind of effective.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Sam is voting that one down. I'm getting the vote
no based off the shaking, the shaking of his head
in there, cupping my hands awkwardly.

Speaker 10 (09:40):
No.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
I'm usually never at a loss for words. You guys
got me well, you know, doing nothing with my palms.
I tend to agree with the talkbacker Hey.

Speaker 12 (09:49):
Good morning.

Speaker 14 (09:50):
Say it says a lot of our current times when
Christy Nolan gets housted for enforcing our border laws, while
my orcus he kept his job for the whole term
by not enforcing border laws.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Well, and thank you for that, because it really does
tee up the point that I wanted to make over
this whole issue. So Christ, you home again ousted's homeland
security amid some turmoil. Trump said that Senator Mark Wayne
Mullen has done a tremendous job in Congress and has
cited his resume as a former undefeated MMA fighter. It's

(10:29):
funny too, because with Democrats attempting to go and dunk
on this whole issue, that doesn't surprise me at all.
I mean, there's no exclusivity to trying to score points
online when it comes to controversies within either party. But
it is noteworthy to go and compare and contrast the
two different parties and the party Republicans that actually go

(10:52):
and hold people accountable for their actions when there's you know, turmoil,
when there's a situation where maybe this position is no
longer suited for this person. Trump went on to say,
as the only Native American in the Senate, Mark Wayne
is a fantastic advocate for our incredible tribal communities. And

(11:12):
but the point I wanted to make on that too,
just before I get lose I lose sight of it,
is that you know, be careful what you wish for Democrats,
because yeah, Christ, you know, may no longer be there.
And as you'll hear from Governor Tim Walls here in
just a moment with the audio clips that I have
to to share. You know, this is you know, this
is the first move towards accountability regarding all of the

(11:34):
ridiculous false narratives that they have put forward in portraying
Operation Metro Surge as one big negative. Well, it's not
like things are going to change. As a matter of fact,
things may actually rampump who knows. Under Senator Mark Wayne Mullen,
Mark Wayne has worked tirelessly. Trump went on to say,

(11:55):
to keep our border to secure, stop migrant crime, murders
and other criminals from illegal entering our country, and the
scourge of illegal drugs, and make America safe again. Mullen
is the first Native American senator in decades, following Senator
Ben Knighthorse Campbell of Colorado now Nomes. Tenure marked a
distinct reversal of the open border policies by predecessor, as

(12:18):
the Talkbacker noted Alejandro mayorcus During the Biden administration, the
DHS has notched a record of drug interdictions totally more
than half a million pounds of illegal drugs in her
first year. Now, reports surfaced yesterday that Trump was furious
over Christy Nomes's performance in the bicomeral judiciary hearings this week,

(12:39):
particularly over a contract for an advertisement that Senator John Kennedy,
Republican and of Louisiana, and others grilled her on. Trump
reportedly took issue with her, suggesting to Kennedy that he
approved the taxpayer funded ad sub contracted to a firm
connected with her inner circle. According to National Review, which

(13:01):
also reported that Moullin was being considered as the top
candidate to replace her, a White House official confirmed to
Fox News that Trump did not indeed know about the
ad and did not approve it, despite her claims to
the contrary at the hearings. And there's another aspect of
this too. This controversy may indeed be the reason why.

(13:22):
But also when you sort of see the end of
an operation and we are in terms of Metro Surge here,
we're still going to have deportations across the country, but
maybe it's just time for a shift in leadership. Not
unlike what took place with the Border Patrol Commander Greg
Bovino at the time of Operation Metro Surge, when it
was underway here in Minnesota. The sore familiar with the situation,

(13:46):
said it was a combination of her many unfortunate leadership
failures from Minnesota to the ad campaign, to the allegations
of an affair. And it's clear the administration had not
been happy with her response to the controversies that had
ensued during those ice operations here. This may have been
the moment though, during that hearing wherein she ended up

(14:08):
losing her gig. This is the exchange between Kennedy and
Christy Nome earlier this week.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
I'm asking you a chart, interrupt, but the President approved
ahead of time you spending two hundred and twenty million
dollars running TV EDGs across the country in which you
are featured prominently.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
If sir, we.

Speaker 15 (14:29):
Went through the legal processes, did it correct?

Speaker 5 (14:33):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (14:34):
He did, Yes, Okay.

Speaker 15 (14:38):
And one thing Senator I think would be helpful to
know is how effective that communications has been that overwhelming?

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Give Ben your name recognition.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
I mean, I personally, just I mean to me, it
puts the President in a terribly awkward spot and it
and I just I'm not showing not telling the truth.
It's just hard for me to believe you know, I'm
the pressment.

Speaker 6 (15:03):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
My guess is on this whole Trump signing off on
it is that there probably was an authorization for funds
to be used, It just wasn't an expectation of the
specificity relating to how those funds were going to be used.
Meaning these ads painting her in a particular light, She's

(15:28):
very much inclined to showcase her personality draw attention to herself,
maybe undue, you know. To that point, Let's go to
a friend of the show, Dan on the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 13 (15:41):
App Happy Freedom Friday. This is Dan from Texas. Hey,
I think Christine onm did a very good job. I
think she just wasn't the media savvy enough for that role,
and that's why they put her somewhere else. I think
this example of how Trump doesn't toss people aside that

(16:03):
have skills. He just finds something that's appropriate for them.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
The sign of a great leader. And you know, and
on top of that, you know, holding individuals accountable for
their actions, especially if they're making claims and simply aren't true,
even if they are misunderstandings. And this is what will
compare and contrast here in just a moment. Many Republicans
remained highly complimentary of Nome's tenure. She was very effective.

(16:29):
I was surprised I wasn't the biggest fan of her
being chosen for that role. And despite her I don't
know what was the nickname, that doesn't matter, they gave
her a bunch of goofy nicknames. Despite all those goofy
nicknames and her what seemed to be again desire to
have a particular profile or image while in public. Again,

(16:51):
as I mentioned, maybe too big of a focus on that,
I thought she ended up doing a very good job
in the role that she was playing. Being said change,
maybe he's a good thing. And I think the Senator
Mark Wayne Mullen is a great pick. Now, in just
a moment, I'm gonna share with you the audio from
Governor Tim Walls talking with Jen Saki on MS NOW

(17:12):
attempting to go and dunk on this situation. And I'm
going to tell you and give you the examples of
why it is once again the height of hypocrisy for
this hack of a governor that we still have to
endure for the remainder of this year to sit back
and try to go and dunk based off of his
own actions, especially within his own government. We'll get some

(17:36):
more of your thoughts as well from the iHeartRadio app
on a Freedom Friday. You're listening to twin Cday's News
Talk Am eleven thirty and one oh three five FM,
Don't Go Anywhere.

Speaker 7 (17:46):
Poring everybody.

Speaker 16 (17:46):
It's Chad and Dellano, Happy Friday.

Speaker 7 (17:49):
I thought Christy Nolman was let.

Speaker 16 (17:52):
Go because of something with a two hundred million dollars
or something about that Trump never authorized, and she's said
he did, all right, at least that's what all the
news outlets, a lot of them were saying yesterday.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Yeah, that's what I mentioned earlier. This was this ad
buy that she had purchased, which had painted her in
a particular light, and this was well, you know, I'll
just play the clip again. This was the exchange between
Senator Kennedy and Christy Noman the hearing earlier this week,
talking about the very issue that you're mentioning.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
Chad, I'm asking you a chart interrupt. But the President
approved ahead of time you spending two hundred and twenty
million dollars running TV EDGs across the country in which
you are featured prominently.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yes, sir, we went through the legal processes.

Speaker 7 (18:42):
Did it correct?

Speaker 5 (18:44):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (18:45):
He did?

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Yes, Okay.

Speaker 15 (18:49):
And one thing Senator I think would be helpful to
know is how effective that communications has been.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
That we'll go overwhelming given your name recognition, I mean,
I personally just I mean to me, it puts the
president in a terribly awkward spot, and it it and
I just I'm not saying you're not telling the truth.
It's just hard for me to buy you know, I'm
the president had.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Yeah, And there appears to be discrepancy here. As I mentioned,
My guess is that there was an authorization of funds,
but the specificity of which Christy Noman was going to
go and spend those funds is what's being called into question.
And there's no denying that in the wake of what
had transpired here in Minnesota during Operation Metro Surge. Both

(19:42):
renaannicle good and and pretty right. Some of the commentary
that was given afterwards was unnecessary. It's not that it
was inaccurate. There's a couple of different situations where two
things can be true at once. It wasn't as if
her commentary was necessarily inaccurate, and we talked about this

(20:03):
yesterday on the show the labeling of this being potentially
terroristic acts and things, you know, things of this nature.
Not inaccurate, but appropriate for the time, necessary for the time,
probably not, you know, we're putting hairs here. But there
is a pr campaign that's being waged, especially by the left,

(20:26):
over everything the President Donald Trump does, and that might
have been part of the rationale of why Christy Nome
was going and creating those particular ads, but it also
means that that could be something that the administration didn't
necessarily agree to while going and approving those particular funds,
you know, And so rather then continue with controversy, you know,

(20:49):
make a change and get somebody new in and continue
the efforts if the individual that you have in charge
is hindering the efforts in any way, shape or form,
especially regarding something as serious as illegal immigration. There's a
lot of good people within this administration, a lot of
good Republicans within Congress. Trump is now tapping one of
those individuals and putting Christine Noman in a different position.

(21:10):
Let's get back to your talk back from the iHeartRadio
app Morning John Sam.

Speaker 17 (21:14):
John, I rarely disagree with your outlook on things, but
in the case of Christine Olme. I simply believe that
she was a wanna be Barbie Doll put into the
position because she's kind of good looking and everybody kind
of thought, wow, she's good to look at. But I
don't think she had a lot of substance under the hood.
And when she was put out her questioning, she said

(21:35):
a lot of stupid things and I'm sorry, you can't
shoot a dog because it doesn't retrieve.

Speaker 7 (21:40):
Well, that's my opinion.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
And I think that she get you. I think she
got a bad rap and a lot of it was
also self inflicted, again keeping with that idea that two
things can be true at once. I wasn't the biggest
fan of her being the choice for this position, but
was pleasantly surprised by her actions. But she obviously enjoys
having and putting forward a particular image, and that did

(22:06):
not benefit her, and it ultimately may have doomed her chances,
as she's no longer in that role anymore now. Republicans
have remained complementary of her time there. Republican Representative Clay Higgins,
a former law enforcement officer himself, said during the hearing
earlier this week that he was embarrassed by the antics
of his colleagues across the Aisle Madam Secretary, you inherited

(22:27):
a disaster and you turned it around and astonishing ninety
seven percent decrease in illegal crossings isn't a coincidence. It's leadership.
Know that this committee has your back. When Swallwell, Democrat
right obviously pressed her on the ad campaigning contract, Nome
shot back that while the Alameda Democrat was focusing on

(22:48):
photo ops and luxury jets, I'm focused on the fact
that the Coastguard might not get paid because your party
is choosing not to fund them. But this administration is
not fearful of going and making change, as a previous
talkbacker said, that's leadership in my opinion, and there's plenty.
The operation is going to continue, and if Christinome was

(23:11):
hindering that operation bringing too much negativity to it, no
issue whatsoever in going and switching her out for somebody
else while we go and continue the efforts to deport
those who were allowed to flood into the country during
the four years of President Joe Biden. Now Governor Tim Walls,
attempting to probably make himself feel better after the hearing

(23:35):
on Wednesday, which once again did not put him in
the best of lights. He went on MS Now with
Jen Saki got a couple of different clips to share
of Governor Tim Walls, first off, talking about Christinome and
saying that he essentially believes that she's going to be

(23:56):
locked up at some point here in Minnesota. There's Governor
Tim Walls.

Speaker 8 (24:01):
And there needs to be and I think that that's
one of our founding principles that no one's above all
are and they're accountable. I would just say at this
time that the former Secretary Gnomes should probably get used
to spending more time in Minnesota because it's I have
a pretty good feeling in the future she may be
doing that because we have got to get accountability. We
need to know the people who are involved in this
and the ones that were caught on tape and the

(24:22):
brave Minnesotans and again they're out of Minnesota because Minnesotan's
took to the streets and it turns out they like
their constitutional rights, they like to protect their neighbour's human
rights and that's what Minnesotans did.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
And the word salad dance that Walls does, you know,
they like to see it. He was actually more clever
than he typically is in that statement, because, first off,
we have the constitutional rights aspect of it, of which
we haven't seen any good arguments as to how any
constitutional rights were violated. But did you see when he

(24:59):
fle talking about the neighbors, Suddenly it wasn't constitutional rights
anymore because he knows they're talking about illegal aliens. And
it flipped two human rights. And he's an idiot, but
he's no dummy? Or is it go the other way?
Is he a dummy but he's no idiot?

Speaker 7 (25:15):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Does it matter? Probably ducs of one, half a dozen
the other.

Speaker 8 (25:20):
Right, we need to count of build on every single
one of those. So from whether it's the murder of
Renee and Alex, whether it's why Liam Ramos ended up
in Texas, why we don't know where some of our
children are, why they tell stories where a gentleman with
a fractured skull tripped and fell entertainment, and the hundreds
of other aggressions all the way down to gassing of

(25:43):
children with chemical munitions out there. It's ridiculous and at
this point in time, and I was on the hill
yesterday testifying in one.

Speaker 7 (25:52):
Of their diversions.

Speaker 8 (25:53):
Christy Nome's down the way being asked to simply state,
calling Renee and Alex domestic terras is incredibly painful for
Minnesotan's and their family and she doesn't even have the
decency to do that. And so here's my question is, well,
maybe the president could do that for her. Maybe the
President could say, you're right, that's why she's gone. We

(26:13):
would do this.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
So I don't know.

Speaker 8 (26:15):
On a day like this, I'm glad she's gone. But
they just keep lighting up sycophants. They just there's one
qualification for this job, and that's loyalty to Donald Trump.
And your story there of saying that you know, when
she shot cricket. All the rest of us are, of
course horrified by this. Whatever Donald Trump thinking that would
be good for border security. Boy, there's a psychology study

(26:36):
right there of what they think about this. And that's
the way they've approached this. It is whole operation of
Minnesota has been cruelty.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
It tells you so much. I just wonder the gas
lighting is is just absolutely incredible. And again, let the
left dunk all they want, it's expected. But at the
same time, I want to show you one account ability
looks like. And this is what accountability looks like. Christinome

(27:05):
no longer in a good position to be where she was,
and so she's being moved. Going back to Wednesday's congressional hearing,
you want an example of the lack of accountability, let's
start here. First, Representative Fallon laying out how the Somali
fraudsters here in Minnesota have not assimilated the way that

(27:30):
Governor Tim Walls continued to go and claim as he
dodged all level of accountability during that Wednesday hearing.

Speaker 18 (27:38):
Do you believe the seventy thousand strong Somali community as
a whole has made a.

Speaker 7 (27:42):
Positive impact on your state?

Speaker 18 (27:44):
I do, so you be the opinion fair to say
that the smaller community has successfully assimilated and is making
Minnesota better.

Speaker 7 (27:51):
Yeah, I believe they're on that path.

Speaker 18 (27:53):
Yes, I'm just curious about what metric you've come to
that conclusion.

Speaker 7 (27:56):
I just looked at some hard data, and do.

Speaker 18 (27:58):
You have any idea that the what percentage of the
native born Minnesota's all races live in poverty in your
state right now?

Speaker 7 (28:05):
I don't have specifically, I'll share it with you.

Speaker 18 (28:07):
It's eight percent for the smaller community, it's fifty two percent.
How about receiving food stamps? Say, don't all right, I'll
run it down with you at seven percent and then
in the compared to fifty four percent in the smaller community,
and then.

Speaker 7 (28:21):
I think that don't have one of us to high percent.

Speaker 18 (28:25):
I was thirty nine percent one family member at least
on Medicaid, it's eighteen percent for Minnesota, seventy three percent
for the Smiley community, and receiving welfare of some form
it's twenty one percent, and it's eighty one percent for
the Somali community. Governor, do you happen to know what
the percentage is of all those who have currently been
charged in this staggering social services fraud scheme were native

(28:48):
born Minnesota's what percentage?

Speaker 8 (28:50):
I do not have that.

Speaker 18 (28:51):
I think it was eighty five and eight, which comes
out to thirteen percent Minnesota and eighty seven percent Somali Minnesotan.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
So I think this is an.

Speaker 18 (28:59):
Instance perhaps where we'll gets slept by data. A Governor,
there's been billions stolen over seven plus years, right under
your nose, and really there's only two explanations. It's either
you were in on it or you weren't smart enough
to see it. There's either criminal negligence or wild incompetence.

Speaker 7 (29:14):
And the only way this kind of fraud can.

Speaker 18 (29:16):
Reach this scale is if there's people in power that
are colluding and collaborating and willfully blinding themselves to the
realities around them and in oversight.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
When we do an now to further reinforce this point
of a lack of accountability, I want to play you
a clip from the legislative session earlier this week because
Governor Tim Wallas likes to talk about accountability, and he's
used retribution a lot in how the Trump administration put

(29:50):
ICE agents on the streets for Operation Metro Surge, examining
and looking into and investigating the billions of dollars in fraud.
Walls continues to say, it's just retribution. They're just targeting
us because they don't like me.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
You know.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
I imagine in his mind what he's saying now is
retribution for having his butt handed to him earlier this
week during the fraud hearing with him and Keith Ellison.
Now before I played this clip though, again talking about accountability,
the difference between President Donald Trump's administration removing individuals that

(30:29):
they're no longer effective in the positions that they are
versus the way that the DFL Governor Tim Walls and
his government here in Minnesota actually go and give individuals
new positions, confirm positions wherein they're the ones who have
been responsible for the fraud all along. Before we get

(30:52):
to this, though, I want to get back to a
few of your comments from the iHeart Radio app mon
A Freedom Friday.

Speaker 7 (30:57):
Good Morning.

Speaker 19 (30:58):
So Tim Walls says ices out of Minnesota because Minnesota
stuck to the streets. Well, explain why every time I
see mugshots three quarters of the people in the mugshots
are from out of state.

Speaker 20 (31:12):
Good morning. It's the gassing of children. Man, Those parents
that brought their kids out there to those protests should
be held responsible before putting their children in danger. This
is literally child endangerment. But you know whatever, Waltz.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Yeah, no, he completely, he completely misconstrued what had actually
happened with that family that had shown up to get
their mom away from a protest, left their kids in
the car while they went and took part in the
ice protest, putting them in harm's way while they obstructed
federal law enforcement agents from doing their job, and Walls

(31:48):
goes and turns this into the gassing of children. But
here's the kind of accountability that you don't get under
the governor's him Wall's administration. So this is State Representative
Kristin Knudsen grilling the Minnesota Department of Human Services Commissioner

(32:09):
Sharen Gandhi, who essentially got a promotion. This is the
individual who had been in charge while the fraud was occurring,
and instead of removing her from that position doing something
that Trump administration would do, she ends up getting a promotion.
In all of this, Listen to this exchange between Representative
Khanitsen and Shari Gandhi.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
Andy.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
Prior to last February, when you were promoted to temporary
interim commissioner, what was.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Your role at DHS? What was your title?

Speaker 9 (32:39):
Chrishner Gandhi chair Schumacher representative, Deputy commissioner, and.

Speaker 7 (32:45):
Prior to that, Khudsen.

Speaker 9 (32:48):
The commissioner, Gandhi chair Schumacher representative, it was assistant commissioner
and before that chief compliance officer.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Correct, thank you Chair Chief Compliance Officer HM. For the
years that this report was done, you were chief compliance officer.
This fraud happened when you were a Chief compliance officer,
and then you were promoted, and now you've been promoted again.

(33:20):
How do the people, how do the taxpayers? How do
you expect the taxpayers of Minnesota to trust your leadership
now when you couldn't get a handle on this as
chief Compliance officer?

Speaker 9 (33:36):
How?

Speaker 4 (33:37):
How it's ridiculous that anybody in this state would think
that now under a new title, you're gonna.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Start to be tough on fraud. I am a pault.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
We are talking about billions of dollars throughout all these programs,
billions of do that could have helped actual Minnesotans, and
now we're supposed to just all of a sudden, forget
chief Compliance Officer. This fraud has run rampant, and you've

(34:17):
been there the whole time.

Speaker 9 (34:21):
Goy Sure Gandhi Chair Schumacher Representative. As I mentioned before,
we have an Inspector General, and the whole time I
have been at DHS, the Inspector General has been working
to find and stop fraud at DHS. As Chief Compliance Officer,
I was working on setting up the systems and controls

(34:44):
that would help our department operate better. We have come
a long way in improving grant making and the controls
and supports to help our people do grant making. And
if there are individuals who commit fraud, most of that
is all of that has been external internally. If there

(35:08):
I have not run across corruption, and.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
When there has been.

Speaker 9 (35:14):
Wrongdoing, as came out in this report, I have taken
swift action to address it.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Percent of conits And thank you, Chair, I'll be quick.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
You failed at your job as chief compliance officer, and
then you were promoted, and now you say that you're
taking swift action, but nothing has been done.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Nobody has been fired.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
We have a report in front of us that somebody
gave six hundred thousand dollars and then turned around and
quit and went to work for the program that was
given six hundred thousand dollars. We need a serious change

(35:59):
of culture in this state. This has gone on far
too long, and you have been there for the majority
of it. Nobody in the state has faith that anything
is going to change because of this, because failed.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
Bureaucrats are being promoted. We need major reform in the state.

Speaker 6 (36:26):
Jurey.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
The last person that should ever be talking about a
lack of accountability is Governor Tim Walls or anybody under
Governor Tim Walls that he put in a position of power.
It is the height of hypocrisy. Representative Tom Emmer will
be joining us coming up also in studio on a
Freedom Friday. We'll have both Catherine Johnson and Grace keening

(36:49):
for American Experiment. RNC Committeeman Ak Kamara will be in
just after seven thirty and you're on and off topic
comments from the iHeartRadio app. Talkbacks brought to you by
Lyndahl Realty all morning long here on twins Cday's News Talk.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
Warner Guys, great show. Hey, it was amazing in the
hearing with Tim Walls. How he thought he was so
clever and so cute when he kept saying immigration is
the Fed's job. But he was too stupid to realize
he was just admitting that the FEDS had every right
to be here and do what they were doing.

Speaker 8 (37:20):
