Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's an honor to be here from a galaxy far
far away on the alpad, Sam. Sam tells me you're
an avid Star Wars fan and a big fan of
mine in particular. Well, let me tell you that feeling
is mutual, my friend. Anyone holding down a political talk

(00:22):
show in the Twin Cities galaxy has got to have
some real Lando keelevision charm and a whole lot of
swagger for you and your family to fire up that
anker drive, gather around the Millennium falcon and let the
force behind you all together in peace, laughter.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
And hope, and be the Force be with you always.
Good morning, and I love your show.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
It is made the fourth happy Star Wars tech. Not
that you would know it by looking at me.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I would have never guessed.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Sam gets very thrown off when I wear baseball caps
to the studio.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I guess I don't do it as often as I
think I do.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
I mean, you do. I was, like I said, I
was just picking on you earlier.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I am matching today with the whole Star Wars black
and white motif. Love that because the Fourth May the
Force be with you the Yeah, this is a de
facto Star Wars holiday.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
It wasn't like even planned. It's just throughout the years.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
The memes were created, and with the proliferation of social media,
I grew into essentially an official Star Wars Day celebration.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Don't worry, I'm not gonna wipe out on Star Wars.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
We'll in to ask Be yesterday, She's like, how much
you gonna talk about Stars in the show today?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I said, well, I'll.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Do some stuff at the intro of the show and
then I'll just wait to do all of the rest
of my celebrated once I get off the air later
on today. Although I do have a few references related
to commentary on today's the show here on Twin City's
News Talk at AM eleven thirty and one oh three
five FM. So Happy Star Wars Day to all who

(02:14):
celebrate or something.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Do you do you do the two days celebration or
just do you just stick to May the fourth?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
See, that's the.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Hard part with me when it comes to celebrating Star Wars,
because I kind of do it every day.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Anyway, there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
So it'll really be today will be.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
We'll do a lot of We'll do a lot of
watching of Star Wars and whatnot, and I kind of
just I kind of make a whole week out of it.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Okay, that's kind of kind of what the.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Reason I ask is because a lot of people don't
know that tomorrow has also been kind of given its
own Star Wars Day, Revenge of the Fifth.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Revenge of the Fifth. Yeah, yeah, I know, yeah, and
that would that would kind of hasn't like grabbed hold. Yeah,
but like even the you know, even Disney and lucasfilm,
I mean they grab on. There's all kinds of specials
today and a lot of promotion going on for the
Mandalorington grogu which comes out in a couple of weeks,
but that is really irrelevant to the rest of the
news of today, in which case I'll just give myself

(03:05):
a preemptive.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
You're fascinating to talk.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
To, and you can just apply that to any other
further Star Wars commentary that may happen.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
During today's show.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Here on Twin Cities News Talk, we will be talking
with our DC Insider regulatory guru Andrew Langer. Coming up
just after six point thirty, we'll get into the escorts
Project Freedom. The US forces are guiding ships out of
the Strait of Ormus as Operation Epic Fury continues, it
should drive gas prices down. So we're going to talk

(03:38):
about that with Andrew Langer among a host of other
news items. With Langer, we'll get started on a conversation
and talk about it further later on in the show.
But what's been going on with the airlines right now?
And this relates to Operation Epic theory because of what's
happening in Iran right now and the price of jet
fuels going up. Needless to say, Spirit Airlines was dealing

(04:00):
with issues far beyond that prior to all of this
taking place in Heran and prior to Trump winning his
second term, when a merger was actively blocked by the
Biden administration during the time when they were still in office,
and now Jeff Blue is no more. So we'll get
into that again with Andrew Linger when he joins us.
At six point thirty, Amy Klobashar has officially started a

(04:22):
campaigning she does not want this job. As a preview
of my commentary coming up after seven o'clock today, she
doesn't want this gig. That seems pretty pretty clear, and
she's going to take a cue from other recent gubernatorial
candidates wherein she'll run as this moderate. She'll try to

(04:44):
do everything that she can to differentiate herself from Walls,
even though she would be and you know, she would
be Walls two point zero if she were to be
Minnesota's next a governor. So we'll get into that coming
up just after seven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
We do have some.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Individuals who have dropped out on the Republican side in
the gubernatorial race. And then we'll talk fraud in the
eight o'clock hour from the Walls administration saying there's not
enough employees, and specifically it's coming out of Attorney General
Keith Ellison's office. So I don't buy any of this,

(05:21):
but they don't say they don't. They say they don't
have enough employees to go and investigate all of the fraud.
We also have a story of an HOA that got
busted for committing acts of fraud. So we're going to
start all the way from the hoas all the way
up to the governorship this morning. Let's start here though,
And some troubling news. Former New York City Mayor Rudy

(05:45):
Giuliani is in critical condition at a Florida hospital. This
broke overnight. President Donald Trump was quick to wish his
friend and longtime ally well. The spokesperson for Jiuliani, Ted Goodman, said,
the former mayor and staunch ally of Trump, remains in

(06:05):
critical but stable condition. Giuliani is a fighter who has
faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and
he's fighting with that same level of strength as we speak.
We do ask that you join us in prayer for
America's mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Critical of a stable condition means their condition is like threatening,
but currently their vital signs are within normal limits. And
I don't mean to be grim here, but the statement
coming from the spokesperson for Giuliani, it's not very encouraging. Unfortunately,
Trump did issue a statement via true Social immediately upon

(06:46):
learning about his friend, saying, our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a
true warrior and the best mayor in the history of
New York City by far, is hospitalized in critical condition,
with a tragedy that he was treated so badly by
their radical left lunatics, democrats all and he was right
about everything.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Exclamation point. Don't ever change Trump.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
They cheated on elections, vabricated stories, hundreds of stories, did
anything possible to destroy our nation and now look at
Rudy so sad. I think they Rudy Giuliani would appreciate
that post from President Donald Trump. Of course, Juliani was
nicknamed America's Mayor in the aftermath of the nine to
eleven attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center. Was hospitalized
recently following a car accident that he had reportedly recovered from.

(07:32):
So again, prayers out for America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani, hospitalized
in critical condition.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Coming up, we have some audio to share.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
There was a radical leftist fight the Oligarchy rally that
took place in Rochester. Bernie Sanders, who's a big fan
of Nazis, by the way, I have the audio to
prove that.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Coming up, was.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Joined by Thiefe Ellison, Lieutenant governor and sending candidate Peggy
flan again will share some audio from her. Plus how
Democrats do what democrats do in supporting and candidates and
acting in the very way that they criticize Republicans over
time and time again. I mean, there's just a host

(08:16):
of examples that I'll share of Democrats either being awful
in their own right or supporting awful people. They're continued
gas lighting as they spread their propaganda, and of course,
as always want to hear from you. You can email
Justice at iHeartRadio dot com. The new phone number is
eight four four nine four six fifty eight fifty five

(08:38):
and if you're listening worldwide on the iHeartRadio app, leave
us a talk back. Those are brought to you by
Lyndahl Realty and we'll get to them next. Here on
Twin Cities News talk at AM eleven thirty and one
oh three five FM.

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Good morning, John, this is Chuck from Greenow. Hey, Chuck,
in light of today being made of the forest being
I'm going too much the project Hail Mary in Paris,
that's Paris, Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Pay have a great day.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
So while not Star Wars I endorsed this idea.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
It's in the spirit of Star Wars Sci Fi.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Absolutely, Brian Gosling's going to be and Star Wars Starfighter
next year comes out about a year from now, so
absolutely an appropriate move on your May the fourth be
with you day, and to that I will once again.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
You're fascinating to talk to because.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I deserve it.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Here on Twin City's News talking from AM eleven thirty
and one o three five FM. Fight the Oligarchy rally
took place over the weekend in Rochester. Bernie Sanders was
in towns speaking alongside Lieutenant Governor sent A candidate, Peggy flanagain, seefella, listen.
Here's a little bit about what Bernie had to say.
Well up on the state age in Rochester. I like

(10:02):
bram Latina. You like Bramlatna the big money interest to
not like Crown. So you got Graham a Platiner who
has a Nazi tattoo. Got a Nazi tattoo. I believe
he's covered it over now because he's running her office.
He's praised to Hamas and said women should act like

(10:23):
an adult to avoid rape, and Sanders says he likes
Graham Platiner.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
M hm.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Seems pretty par for the course and keeping with the
theme of Star Wars and most famously said by Luke
Skywalker in the Last Jedi Funny, everything that you just
said was wrong. Here's a bit of Peggy Flanagan railing against,
of all things, the Lake and Riley Act. And keep
in mind the lunatic audience that's cheering when she talks

(10:53):
about the Lake and Riley Act in a negative way.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
The very first vote.

Speaker 7 (10:58):
In the second Trump administration that he brought forward was.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
For the Leacan Riley Act.

Speaker 7 (11:04):
It was one of his biggest priorities. It strict due
process away from immigrants, allowed for the indefinite detention.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Of adults and children, and was.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
The green light to give Ice unprecedented power to totally
terrorize our communities. And I want to be clear that
there is a straight line from the Lacin Riley Act
vote to what we saw in the streets of our communities.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yeah, that's a and that's a good thing. By the way,
I don't know where the noise in the background was.
I can only hope that that noise was ringing in
the ears of the audience the entire time that Lieutenant
Governor Peggy Flanagan was speaking. Illegal aliens throw their due
process out the window when they come into the Countrygally,

(12:01):
the Lincoln Riley Act bolsters the opportunity for those who
have come into the country illegally and specifically gone and
committed other crimes to be held accountable for their actions,
wherein too many leftists had kept that from taking place
in the past.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
So she is right about one thing. I want to
be clear here.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
The Lincoln Riley Act did go and pave the way
for the ICE operations here in Minnesota. But as we've
factually demonstrated on the show time and time again, there
never would have been any sort of problem if leftists
hadn't taken to the streets to obstruct the lawful law enforcement.
There was no terrorizing of anybody. Those were self inflicted controversies,

(12:51):
issues and acts of violence that took place. But it's
a point that's lost on the support who only listen
to the left and their propaganda and their rhetoric.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
Thank and that was funny.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I picked up on that beet Ellisons after coming up
with Tim Wall had some good stuff right there. Brother, Yeah,
I have another one too.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
It's a Lamy Klobashark, which works on a couple of
different levels because she's.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Lame and she lies, So we're going with Lamy Clobashar.

Speaker 8 (13:33):
When I think about Minnesota doubling down on failure with
Amy Klobachar's candidacy, it doends on me that failure is
the point. These people want and need the system to collapse.
They will retain their power and their wealth, and their
constituents are so stupid they honestly believe the wealth will
be evenly redistributed. If you want to see our future,

(13:55):
read about the Russian Revolution and fatten up your pets
because you'll be eating soon or not.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
One of the Uh, Wow, that was dark and rough
from friend of the show, Tom, that took that took
a turn to the to the to the dark side.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
You're fascinating to talk to.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
You can't expect more of that throughout the show this morning.
I just want to point that out. Uh, the most
recent Democrat to put on full display just what.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Psychos they are. We talked about her a bit on
Friday show.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Michigan Senate Democratic candidate Mallory McMorrow. She actually defended the
deleting of her six hundred thousand some odd tweets. CNN
report found last week that she had deleted those tweets,
including mocking Middle America and bending the truth about where
she was living, working, and voting. I got a couple

(14:50):
of clips before we talk with Andrew Langer to share
from Mallory McMorrow, both on CNN. First off, regarding the
posts calling midical Middle Americans backwards, she actually defended that,
even though she went in de leaded the tweets when
talking with CNN over the weekend.

Speaker 9 (15:10):
Okay, so there were tweets of hers where you seem
to take a jab at rural America. And twenty sixteen,
a user posted quote, I'm from the rural Midwest. All
this talk about coastal elites needing to understand more of America?

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Has it backwards?

Speaker 9 (15:24):
You wrote in response to that user this threat, I'm
from rural New Jersey. This rings one. So do you
stand by that sentiment? The rural parts of America can
learn from coastal elites.

Speaker 10 (15:36):
I think we all need to understand each other better.
Trump has succeeded in weaponizing us against each other, convincing
us that we are each other's enemies.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
I've lived all over the country.

Speaker 10 (15:49):
I've met a lot of different people, and I stand
by that was it the most eloquent tweet I've ever tweeted.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Now I've tweeted thousands of times.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Listen, she's good at spin and I will give some
credit where credits do, at least at the end. She
stated that she stands by that tweet, then why did
you go and delete it? She also said that she
sees similarities between Trump oh and Nazi Germany.

Speaker 9 (16:15):
To follow up on that question, do you personally see
parallels between Nazi Germany and what's happening under the Trump
administration world, Yeah, I do.

Speaker 10 (16:23):
It's just deeply concerning that we see an authoritarian slide, and,
as we talked about earlier, dividing people against each other
to convince people that if you're not doing well economically
it's somebody else's fault is an incredibly dangerous place for
us to be in. I don't think that a lot
of people would argue that there are shades of authoritarianism

(16:44):
here that we need to be deeply concerned about.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Just further examples of the gas lighting that the left does.
They support horrible candidates, They support candidates who directly align
with the very thing that they claim Trump and the
right and his supporters are, and they have no shame
of going and putting that out on full display for
everybody to go and see. Of course, you're not getting

(17:08):
the proper context here because it is CNN, and she
knows this. CNN knows this because they still carry the
water for the left. We'll have more with this coming
up much later on in the show this morning. Next
we'll get to some of your comments from the iHeartRadio app.
Your talkback's brought to you by Lyndahl Realty. We'll talk
with our DC insider and regulatory guru Andrew Langer, and

(17:29):
before the hour's up, we'll get back into This is
a fantastic piece from Talking Pois memo.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
I want to share with you a few points from.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Specifically regarding the missing scientists conspiracy. Finally answering the question
that I've been wanting to know since this story first emerged,
and that is the context surrounding the number of scientists
in relation to one another, corresponding with the number of deaths,
and whether or not this really is something unique or

(18:01):
if it's more akin to what you typically see when
it comes to shark attacks on a yearly basis, wherein
they just.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Get reported more.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
It seems like there's more of them, when in the
reality is no, it's pretty much on par with every
single year and those averages. This is all coming up
on Twin City's News Talk at AM eleven thirty and
one oh three five FM GIO station, May the fourth,
May it be with you.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Here on Twin City's News Talk.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
You're fascinating to talk to.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Glad you went the show this morning. My name is
John Justice.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
We will be talking briefly or in just a moment,
I should say, in a brief moment with our regulatory guru,
President of the Institute for Liberty, Andrew Langer. Before we
do that, though, please go to the iHeart Radio app
and your talkback's brought to you by Glyndahl Realty and dive.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Into the mind of ah of the show on this
made the fourth Hey Board.

Speaker 11 (19:05):
This is Eric from Brainer Operation Baby Yoda aka the
I Ran War now as war crimes and a recession
that would like you last years didn't hear much about
Pete Haggsith hearings, but it was a palling if you
watched it, maga. Fortunately, this is going to define the
entire Trump presidency. While you're paying over four dollars, it's
a gallon for gas. Are you feeling at the grocery

(19:25):
store yet? If not, you really need to buy your
own groceries.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
Thanks.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
This is coming from the same guy who, two days
into the official release of Project Hail Mary had said
that it was already going to be an abject of
failure and a flop. So that is to say that
I'm not putting any stock into Eric from Eric from
Brainerd and his voice disguiser. He sounds like the cockroach

(19:53):
from Men in Black. Good morning, Andrew Langer, how are
we doing? I'm we doing this.

Speaker 12 (20:00):
Morning, John, Happy Star Wars day to you. Yeah, listen,
here here's the thing. I do all the grocery shopping
at home, and prices certainly have been a lot more
stable than they were during the Biden administration. Then I
have the receipts to prove it. I mean, you know,
I'm I'm I'm watching and yeah, listen, we got to

(20:20):
get gas prices down. There's no two.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Ways about this.

Speaker 12 (20:23):
This is why this new effort to escort ships through
the Straits of Hormones is so vital.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
I was at a briefing last week.

Speaker 12 (20:32):
You know, basically, right now, we're at about ten percent
of the number of ships I'm sorry, twenty percent of
the number of ships that normally pass through the Straits
of Hormones on a daily basis are passing through. There's
a backlog of about five hundred ships, which means that
we can clear it out probably once we get things reopened.
We can clear that backlog out in about ten days.

(20:55):
And once that happens. You can start to signal gas
prices coming down once again and again, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
It takes time.

Speaker 12 (21:03):
There's this this effect called the rocket and feather. You know,
gas prices spike and then they drop slowly to the
earth like the feather and forest gump. It just it
takes a bit of time, but they're going to get
back down there, all right.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Before we continue with this discussion, I want to Spike
in a talk back from the iHeartRadio app as Andrew
Langer joins us this morning.

Speaker 13 (21:25):
Oh, that guy even sounded like Darth Vader, resistant to futile.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
John just well, except for the resistance was feudal with
Star Trek. But that's okay. Your heart was in the
was in the right place.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Let me ask you something regarding going back to the
Warren I won gas prices and President Donald Trump just
sort of a thirty thousand foot view question. How much
how much focus do you think Trump actually has on
the midterms? Like my take is that Trump's doing what
he believes he needs to do.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
He's playing Trump's playing the long game. Let me make
this easier.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
It seems to me that Trump's playing the long game
in all of this, and while he's concerned about the midterms,
it seems to me that his primary focus is to
set America up for the long term, which you know,
could have somewhat of a negative impact on these interms,
on these midterms. I'm just curious to get you to
get your thoughts on that, Andrew.

Speaker 12 (22:21):
I think Trump is focused on solving, you know, the
series of problems that has beset the world over the
last you know, forty years, dealing with those and sort
of letting the political chips fall where they may. And
it's it's like there is Trump the showman, who is
certainly focused on the pageantry of America's two hundred and

(22:44):
fiftieth anniversary, and if you combine gas prices coming down
with the American two hundred and fiftieth birthday celebration, you know,
with solving these other problems around the world.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
I think at the end of the.

Speaker 12 (23:00):
Day, they think that this is gonna this is going.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
To be what helps Republicans in the midterms. And then
you know.

Speaker 12 (23:07):
The other part of this, and I don't like the
fact that we're now in an era in which elections,
you know, are decided about which party screws up the least,
you know. But you know, President Trump is sort of
also banking on the Democrats not being able to get
out of the way of their own two feet. Certainly,
we're seeing that in Maine, We're seeing that elsewhere, you know,
where the Democrats just can't seem to get their own breaks.

(23:30):
You know, the Democrats should by all rights pick up
this main Senate seat, and they're gonna have a real
hard time with it.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Let's go back to the Iheartrot Radio app on just
briefly here as we continue to talk with Andrew Langer
this morning.

Speaker 13 (23:42):
How do you deal with all these lies from the left.
They call the good people bad, and they call the
bad people good, and they do this just to confuse everybody.
Now the voters don't know who's telling the truth.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Well, I would argue this is a lot of voters
that especially I mean more specifically on the left, that
don't even really care what the what the truth is.
If they have a talking point that benefits the party,
you know, either they're not searching for the truth or
they simply don't care. If it works and it helps
Democrats get elected, then they're more than happy to go

(24:17):
and perpetuate and Andrew.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Again, this this this situation with this man.

Speaker 12 (24:21):
I don't know if you're tracking this main senate candidate
too has a tattoo which.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Some city is Nazi iconography plan you know, and what
was that, oh grama a platinor yeah, yeah, so so.

Speaker 12 (24:33):
But the point is it's like again, you know, if
if this was a Republican it would be you know,
it would be headline news, it would be you know,
twenty four hours a.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Day on MSNBC.

Speaker 12 (24:42):
But because it's a Democrat, if the Democrats didn't have
double standards, they would have no standards at all.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
So yeah, this is this is this is this is
where it is.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
So in a bit of a good news I know
you wanted to share this morning. I hadn't seen this.
I had to go and go looking for it. But
this is why we have you on every Monday, every
lanth now four months of manufacturing growth, talk a little
bit about this and again sort of leaning into your
regulatory guru a status.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Here on Twin City's news talk.

Speaker 12 (25:10):
Well, you know, I'm having a lot of conversations with
people who on both the left and the right, business
owners on the left and the right, who understand that
it is much much more safe and secure to manufacture
important goods here at home, or to engage in these
processes here at home. You don't have to worry about
what's happening on the high seas and so creating the

(25:32):
conditions whereby we can have these, you know, have more
manufacturing done.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
And I'm saying this, you know.

Speaker 12 (25:39):
Whether or not it's durable goods, or whether or not
it's pharmaceuticals, or whether or not it's generics. Right, we
all know, we all understand the comparative economics and why,
you know, stuff gets manufactured overseas, but when we're talking
about pharmaceuticals, there really is no reason why stuff shouldn't
be manufactured here. And part of the problem, probably the
biggest problem, is the red tape of permitting, you know,

(26:04):
getting a major project done in America, whether it's building
a manufacturing facility or whether it's building a ship building facility. Right,
you know, why why aren't we building more ships here
at home? Well, the problem is, you know, anytime you
start to engage in a massive project, I'm sorry, let
me let me add one more thing in John, I
haven't had my adder all this morning. The you know, well,

(26:27):
why haven't we built more refining capacity. I had this
conversation with some folks last week as we were talking
about the Straits of Hormuz. You know, our refining capacity
in America is up somewhat, but we haven't built a
new refining facility probably in the last thirty years. And
the reason is because the permitting process is so onerous. So,

(26:48):
you know, all of these things lend to America's economic dominance.
We're starting to send signals to folks that were clearing
things up. We're starting to engage in massive amounts of
regulatory reform, and so yeah, so you gotta you gotta
take all of these things and add them to the mix.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
So last week, the Trump administration was considering a five
hundred million dollar bailout for Spirit Airlines, which was struggling financially.
That there were some Republican lawmakers that opposed the bailout.
They argued that it wasn't good use of taxpayer money.
Labor groups supported it to protect jobs. The Biden administration

(27:29):
blames the airlines financial trouble on the blocked Spirit and
Jet Blue merger. I'm going to get a little bit
more into this later on next hour. But as we
now know, Spirit to Airlines, is it going under in
the wake of all of this, And I wanted to
get your thoughts at Andrew Langer on what happened with
this airline and now limited options for for frequent flyers.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Yeah, well, I mean, that's that's just it.

Speaker 12 (27:54):
And I'm someone I think I flew Spirit once or twice.
I didn't find it a particularly satisfying expert, so I
didn't do it again. But you know, at the end
of the day, it's it. It is enormously sad when
you know an airline or in any business entity has
a buyer who wants to come in and buy it
because they're struggling in an area in which there is

(28:16):
enormous competition.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
And this is really important.

Speaker 12 (28:18):
So I'm going to get into a contrary example here
in an area where there's enormous competition and and somebody
in the leftist administration stands in the way of allowing
that that purchase to happen. And this is this is
at the end of the day, what happens. Sure there
would have been changes to Spirit, and certainly there probably

(28:40):
would have been some kind of consolidation, but it wouldn't
have shut down the airline, especially, you know, shut down
the airline mid flight where uh, you know, passengers and
personnel were getting stranded.

Speaker 14 (28:51):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (28:51):
You know, this is differentiated between that and a merger
that I'm on the record opposing, which is this next
Star TECHNA merger which you know would create massive amounts
of media consolidation, would in point of fact, violate federal
law and existing federal in terms of media market caps,
media market ownership caps. So you know, at the end

(29:14):
of the day, if there is a competitive environment in
which a business ecosystem thrives, maybe the government should be
standing away of a merger.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Andrew Langer, what have you been involved in as of late?
Those listening to your voice this morning should go and
check out.

Speaker 12 (29:33):
Well, listen to two things I think folks on, you know,
talking about this permitting issue and red tip and regulation.
I did an event a couple of weeks ago with
the Daily Caller. It's on the Daily Callers website. I've
also tweeted it out talking about these issues. They had
a really great section on energy permitting. Gabriella Hoffman from
the Independent Women's Forum did a bang up job. Beth
Van Dyne and a bunch of other folks too, but

(29:55):
also early released this week of our latest episode of
The Lunch Hour, I sit down with a guy named
Zach Lilly from Net Choice. We're talking about the Guard Act,
yet another version of kosa Ai and age verification and
are not are we not throwing out the baby with
the bathwater? As always, go and check out what I'm
doing at Andrew Underscore Langer on X.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
Let me let me spike in this comment here and
then I'll tell you loose this morning. Andrew Langer from
the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 15 (30:23):
Yeah, the problem is that as soon as he cleared
their rep tapes, the Democrats will take over, and then
the ball game is over again and we'd go back
to score one.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
Did you ever see Andrew Langer? Did you ever see
Waiting for Guffman?

Speaker 5 (30:43):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Sure absolutely.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
There's an argument where in the this is going to
go over like everybody, but but like five people listening
to the show right now. But there's a moment in
that where Corky, who is trying to put on the
community play, is arguing with the orchestra conductor played by
Bob Alban and they get into this into this riff
of you know, learning it and forget it. But if

(31:05):
they're going to forget it after they learn it, then
why bother doing it at all? When it comes to
comments like this, I just kind of scratch my head
and I go, okay, so should we should we not
do anything? That's your assumption that you know we're going
to make all these changes, but Democrats are going to take.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Over, so why bother?

Speaker 3 (31:24):
I know it's just an expression of frustration, but I
wanted to give you the opportunity to response since it
came in during our conversation.

Speaker 12 (31:31):
Listen, the landscape changes, we make, regulatory changes.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Obviously Congress needs to step in.

Speaker 12 (31:37):
But until up and until Congress is going to be
able to step in, we're going to continue to fight
on this. We just need to make it as difficult
as possible for the Democrats to undo the changes, the
regulatory changes when they come in and real quick thirty
seconds on this Joe the most important Supreme Court decision,
and there was a huge fight. I'm sure you played
bits of it last week between Rosa Delora of Connecticut

(32:00):
and Leezeld and the EPA administrator as she is castigating
him for essentially not engaging in climate changes. So throwing
out the Greenhouse gas endangerment finding at the EPA, and
he says to her, you know, congressman, are you familiar
with lowper Bright And she's like no, And which is insane.

(32:23):
By the way, Loper Bride is the decision that basically
over turned forty years of federal policy which gave expansive
deference to agencies and how they interpret statute. And hugely
important because it constrains the power of a democratic administration.
Frankly constrains the power of republican administration to interpret laws

(32:46):
in whatever crazy.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Way they might want to.

Speaker 12 (32:49):
And so yes, Democrats can come in and undue regulatory
changes down the road, but they will be constrained by
Supreme Court case law, and that's not going anywhere anywhere
anytime soon.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
Well, and then just on a commentary level, they're going
to have to go and justify why they are undoing
this particular measure measure and why. So you know, there's
the there's the commentary and justification angle of it. And
a lot of this stuff that we look at to
change has been in place for a long time and
hasn't been discussed. So many people don't even realize that
there were certain burdens and regulations on particular economic sectors

(33:27):
here in the country.

Speaker 12 (33:28):
Well, right, and that's just it. That's guys, this is
this is where I spend most of my days. Of course,
it's so funny. I woke up this morning and the
website I use regulations dot.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Gov is down today and it's been down since yesterday.

Speaker 12 (33:40):
And normally my mondays are very busy reading through what
agencies are proposing and filing comments. There's a process, and
it's a vital process. And sometimes it works well and
sometimes it doesn't work so well, but it does work
and we have to we have to. We have to
utilize it to the best of our abilities. And that's
a lot of the work I'm doing these days.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Well, happy made the fourth of you with you.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
On Star Wars Day, I live long and prosper there
my friend Andrew Langer, and I'm doing the jokes. I'm
doing the jokes that I always hate on Star Wars Day.
I don't know what's what's what's happened to me this morning?
As I'm spiking in Star Trek, I get it. I
get it all right, Thank you, buddy.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
We'll talk. We'll talk next week.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
All right, let's go to a few of your iHeartRadio
app Radio app talkbacks that have rolled in from commentary
this hour. The Fight the Oligarchy rally that took place
over the weekend. You had Bernie Sanders in town. You
had speakers there, Lieutenant Governor, Peggy Flanagan, Thief Ellison, among others.

Speaker 16 (34:41):
John Happy fun filed Monday. I phoned it interesting. I've
seen some of that rally broadcast on Fox Life over
the weekend, Thief and Tina, and I guess why didn't
they have it in the cities where the parole atariats
are homes county cheap.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
They got a lot of wealthy people into Mayo there.
You know, I.

Speaker 17 (35:08):
Would agree that Trump is doing what he can to
actually set up America for the long term.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
But the problem is we.

Speaker 17 (35:16):
Are also going to need some help in the short
term because if the Democrats take power again, it is
going to be hell unleashed. They are not going to
forgive or forget any of the things that we're done
over the last four years.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Corn John, this is Chad from Anoka.

Speaker 11 (35:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
I find it funny that foes.

Speaker 14 (35:36):
Of the show, like Eric from Brainard are crying about
gas prices when we all know that we're higher underneath
Obama and Biden. But you can't expect them to say
that because they have the memory length of a dead
goldfish when it.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Comes to politics. Thank you all for a good one.
Yeah you too.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Thank you all for the comments so far this morning.
From me I Heeartner Radio app. You know, speaking of goldfish,
a study found that pet goldfish, when released into lakes
can cause a rapid ecological disruption. In Nutrie into rich waters,
goldfish have increased a sediment, reduced to water clarity, and

(36:20):
decreased the populations of snails and crustaceans. Native of fish
sharing water with goldfish also experienced a decline in physical condition.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
It's kind of like what happens when you hang around
democrat too long.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Potentially impacting their ability to produce. Who knew that something
is innocuous as the goldfish could reach could reach such
havoc anyway, they say, unwanted pet goldfish.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Are growing into lake wrecking monsters.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
The more you know, I would have never ever thought that.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Yeah, well, you know you may be asking to why
do I have the story in the tack?

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Why do you have the story? I had it for Friday.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
We didn't get a chance to get to it because
I had this one and I had outdoor pets carry
the same infections as a feral strays.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
So if you think you have a cat.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
That's cleaner, but you let the cat go outdoors all
the time, yeah, it's just as dirty as a feral one.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Yeah, that checks out for sure. Did you have a
goldfish growing it? No? I did not. No, No, we
had a beita fish okay, no, it just kind of
did its own thing, but no goldfish.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Yeah, I had goldfish growing up.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
I had an aquarium during the Dark Ears too, definitely
a part of the Dark Ears because.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
That was not a very that was not a very
good aquarium.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Funny side story on this, just really quick, I got
just enough time to spike it in. So I had
an aquarium. And I also had a black cat named Sally,
who funnily enough was an outdoor cat.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Okay, so I let her come and go. Fantastic cat.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
So I had all these like you know, exotic doing
the thing with my fingers, a fresh water fish in
my in my tank.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Well they started to go missing. Oh no, I could
not figure out what.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Was going on, Like you assume it's the cat, right, Yeah,
but I had a top on the tank.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
Okay, Finally, one.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Morning I woke up, I look over and then the
name of the cat was Sally. So there's about maybe,
I don't know, maybe an inch wide opening in the
back where you can go and put in the fish food.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Sally had. I am not I'm not even kidding you.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
She had taken the entirety of her right arm and
paw shoved it all the way into the tank and
had it about an inch and a half off the
glass and was just waiting for a fish to swing boy,
so she could grab it with her paw and then
flip it out. And I watched it happen in real time.
I just let her have it.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
I'm like, you know what, you're gonna put that much effort.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
In, just go for it.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
After all that, I'm not you know what? You mean
more to me than those fish?

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Do enjoy the she Sally. Hey, there's your podcast one title.

Speaker 4 (39:04):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Enjoyed the enjoyed the sushi, Sally Annie, Sally's living her
best life. May the fourth be with you Monday, all right?

Speaker 2 (39:13):
Coming up? Oh.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
He also had a story about an Indian billionaire Air
who offered it to save eighty of Pablo Escobar's cocaine
hippos from a Colombian call. I wonder if that's going
to be a sequel to cocaine bears. I was thinking
the same I was thinking the same thing. You know what, am,
I gave you some details on this. Coming up in
just a moment, we are going to get into what's
really underpinning the missing scientist conspiracy. So I didn't get

(39:37):
a chance to get to it this hour because of
stories of cats eating my fish. So I'll share this
with you and we will get into Amy Klobashar has
finally decided to start campaigning for a governor. I'm convinced
that she doesn't want this job. I'll share some further
commentary with you coming up on Twin City's News Talk
AM eleven thirty and one oh three five FM.
