Speaker 1 (00:05):
So do we have a good weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Mine was busy.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I ended up at the maple Wood Mall twice this weekend.
They had a new consignment toy store that opened up. Okay,
so Melenda and I went on Saturday and then we're
so impressed. It's called Cryptoy Exchange.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
That's Kyle, my nineteen year old. It's like he was
working on Saturday. So I was like, I want to go.
Oh gosh, this was yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I didn't want.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I wanted to kind of stay home, and I'm like, okay, fine,
so we went back in. I ended up spending way
too much money. I'm not gonna lie. This was that
maple Wood Mall.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah. Nice.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
It's kind of a mini, cheesier version of Mall of America.
I want to talk more about it. I may, I
may may do a post show. I'm thinking there's a
lot to talk about on the show today, much more
relevant than my mall experience toy purchases over the weekend.

(01:15):
Although I did see a report this morning, but apparently
gen Z is hanging out at the mall again, and
I can attest to that. I was it was like
I walked into the into the wayback machine. It's like
I went back. It's like Monday and I went back
in time on Saturday. It was rather, it was rather,
it was rather interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah, if they're not hanging out at the Brunswill Mall,
I can tell you that.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
That was a good time. It was a good time.
So maybe I'll save it for a post show. We'll
see how things wrap up towards the end of today's
show and we get through all of the relevant information
here on Twin City's News Talk Am eleven thirty one
O three five FM. That other voice that you heard
is Sam in the master control booth. My name is
John Justice, and I'm glad that you are with us
on this Monday morning. We have a new Supreme Leader

(01:57):
in Iran. This would be Atola Kamane's radical son has
been chosen as the successor, so he's now on bombing watch.
Since it seems like every single time they picked somebody
new to go and run ran, they end up blowing
them up. So we'll get into this a little bit
more detail coming up with Andrew Langer, president of the
Institute for Liberty. Just after six point thirty this morning,

(02:21):
we had New York City terror attacks that we'll talk
about coming up in the next segment. Paid family medical leave,
not just here in Minnesota, but across the country. Yeah,
the Marxists have really found a good program of which
to read distribute the wealth. The state of Minnesota is
actually offering up tips on how you can scam your

(02:41):
way to more time off. So we'll talk about that
just after seven o'clock this morning. Also later on in
the show, Minneapolis tops the list the list of money
spent monthly on OnlyFans. I have a lot to say
about this, By the way, this has shocked me in

(03:02):
the least bit. I am not surprised at the city
of Minneapolis. We're like in the top five of money
spent on only fans, and we have a lot of
onlyfan creators apparently in Minneapolis as well, like thousands of them.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
That's now two things for the for the Minneapolis resume, right,
OnlyFans and Nobel Prize.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Such a such a tourism destination. Come to the place
where the people were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize,
and they spend more money on OnlyFans than anywhere else.
Healthy societies don't don't do this, by the way. That's
that's mine. That's a bit of your pre due to
the commentary that I have coming up later on this morning. Right,
if you're in a healthy, you know, relationship with somebody, marriage,

(03:47):
things are going fantastic in life. Yeah, you don't need OnlyFans.
So just no judgment, just my personal opinion. So we'll
get to this later on on the show today as well.
I do want to mention that as the tempts climbed
into the sixties over the weekend, multiple storm systems are
on deck that could bring accumulating snow to the region

(04:10):
later this week. Now, before you go blaming me, I
did not switch out the floor mats in my car.
Although I was thinking that maybe we can do a
new yearly tradition, kind of like our own version of
Groundhog Day, when will John remove the floormats in his car?

(04:34):
I have not done it yet. I wanted to. Over
the weekend it was so nice, the snow had gone away.
We Linda was giving me grief about that. By the way,
She's like, you're gonna move them, So I thought, I
like them. I don't, I said, I want the nice
ones in my nice in my nice car. The first
disturbance the article from Bringing the News says arrives tomorrow

(04:58):
into Wednesday. So according to the National Weather Service, snow
accumulation is possible in a wide area, but the ensemble
spread is rather large with specific amounts, so Tuesday to
Wednesday more storms could move through the area. A strong
jet aloft combined with a parade of weak trough features

(05:21):
will allow for continued chances of rain snow showers throughout
most of the week and will warrant a close a monitoring.
So once again we will be monitoring the situation. I
do like how this was worded by the way a
parade of a combined with a parade of weak trough
features new version of the never ading parade is stupid.

(05:45):
Maybe I'm just.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Gonna say, like, are they just trying to make themselves
sound smarter?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I have no idea. That's that was the vibe that
I got. Yeah, yeah, And I would know something I
try to do every day on the show next week,
So the system looks to be more organized, oh, the
most organized of the disturbances. And with more mild March temperatures,
more moisture will be available. So there you go. Don't
blame me just saying my floor mats have not been

(06:13):
removed from my automobile. All right, coming up, arrest made
after homemade explosives cause a terror scare in New York City.
We'll give you an update on this too, because what
started off as this was an anti Muslim protest. This
was Jake Lang who made headlines here in Minnesota, going
back a couple of months ago. We probably about a

(06:33):
month ago, I guess now, right January I believe is
when it was he was holding an anti Muslim rally
in New York City and there was a counter protest
that took place with a couple of individuals that were
throwing into the mix improvised explosive devices. It turns out
what was first to two is now three. We'll give
you details on what transpired over the weekend, why this

(06:57):
guy's bunker businesses move incredibly relative to the story that
I'll share regard to the terror, the potential terror attack
in New York City and Jesse Jackson Junior. We'll get
into this with Andrew Langer rebuking Obama, Clinton and Biden
over their comments made at the funeral. We'll have the
audio to share of what Jesse Jackson Junior had to

(07:20):
say regarding the funeral of his father, and we'll share
with you what got him upsets former President Barack Obama's comments,
and we'll you know, we'll compare those to the hold
Trump went and eulogized the former civil rights leader Jesse Jackson.
Plus we'll hear from you throughout the show this morning.

(07:40):
You can email Justice at iHeartRadio dot com the phone
number eight four four nine four six five eight five
to five, and if you're listening worldwide on the iHeartRadio app,
we will get to those talkbacks coming up next here
on twinter Citi's News Talk Am eleven thirty and one
oh three five FM.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Good morning, and I love your show.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Good morning. Snow really in the winter time knocked me
over with a feather. Well yeah, I mean it's been
warm over the weekend. I know that it's not unlikely.
I know that we can get snow that laid into

(08:22):
the year. Doesn't mean that we don't talk about it, though.
It's also not my fault.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
John John, John, it doesn't matter if you did it
or didn't do it.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
He's thought about doing it.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
That's what cursed it.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Okay, So the mere fact that I brought up the
potential of changing out the floor mats in my car.
That was enough to do them all of it.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
I mean, I didn't want to say that, so I'm
glad the talk packers were able to you know, and I.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Thought you were my friend.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Is that how you're really feeling.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
I'm sorry, my apologies.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
Good morning, John and Sam. As we assess the situation
at the station. Regarding the current comment about the weather,
I think they're just trying to look and sound relevant,
make it a great tame And it's a good thing
you didn't change out those mets.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
John, I'm going to monitor the situation. I monitor many situations,
multiple situations at once. This is just what this is
what I do.

Speaker 7 (09:27):
I feel as the servants in the horse, as if
thousands of Minnesota and suddenly cried out in terror and
suddenly silent by a huge snowstone.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
I know how the snow is gone.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
That's a true friend of the show right there by
the way.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Absolutely, I appreciate all your talkbacks this morning. All right,
A terror scare erupted in America's tourist hotspot. Suspected homemade
bombs packed with nuts, bolts and screws were hurled toward
a crowd, which is funny because the protesters this could
also be described as nuts.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
See what I did?

Speaker 5 (10:05):
There?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
All seriousness that the devices were tossed during these dueling
protests late Saturday morning near Gracie Mansion, the Mayor's residence
in Manhattan's Upper East Side in New York City. It's
pretty interesting two of the individuals that were arrested tossing
two of these improvised ied devices. The home that police

(10:29):
went and conducted a raid in connection with this in
Bucks County. Pretty lavish. The dudes looked like a couple
of homeless activists, but apparently they were residing in pretty
comfortable confines, police say. The first protester began around eleven

(10:49):
AM near the mansion. The demonstration was titled stop the
Islamic Takeover of New York City, Stop in New York
City Public Muslim Prayer. It drew about twenty participants and
was organized by individuals. According to the Daily Wire article
associated with January sixth, defendant Jake Lang. Of course he
made a lot of headlines here in Minnesota. You had

(11:12):
the Minneapolis Police Apartment leaving him to potentially get beaten
up by a crowd that was pushing back on his
protest in downtown Minneapolis. Also, he ended up being charged
and destroying the ice sculpture that went up at the Capitol.
He's known for this type of protesting. A counter protest

(11:33):
nearby called the Run of the Nazis out of New
York City Stand against Hate that drew roughly one hundred
and twenty five people at its peak. Officers separated the
two groups into designated protest areas. Tensions then escalated. Before noon,
Police say a protester associated with Lang's demonstration used pepper
spray against counter protesters. He was arrested twenty minutes later.

(11:57):
The situation intensified even further. Police say an eighteen year
old counter protester identified as a mere Balat lit and
hurled an ignited device toward the protest area. There's video
footage of this available up online. Witnesses reported seeing flames
and smoke trailing the devices through through the through the air,
before striking a barrier and extinguishing just feet from police officers.

(12:23):
This fool ran from the scene. Investigators say he then
obtained a second device from a nineteen year old man
identified it as the Abraham nick Bomb. Squad texts responded
examined the devices. Inspections suggested the objects appeared to be
jars wrapped in black tape, slightly smaller than a football,
packed with nuts, bolts and screws, and fitted with a

(12:45):
hobby fuse that could be ignited. So six arrests were
made in connection total with the events, and those include
the two men accused of handling and deploying devices. The
devices the ones I was mentioning a moment ago living
in the lavish homes. Some on social media were claiming
that they both yelled out to a la akbar. That

(13:06):
has not been confirmed by authorities. And I don't know
if that was if that could be heard in any
of the footage. I didn't hear with what I saw online.
Front Lines tp USA reporter Bronson Alford told The Daily
Wire that the counter protesters from the Drive the Nazis
out of New York were not your average demonstrators. The

(13:29):
protesters weren't normal protesters, they were Antifa. Their goal was
to hurt as many conservative journalists as they could. Alfred
said that things escalated when protesters started screaming bomb, bomb bomb.
His surroundings began to fill with smokes, saying it smelled
like something had been ignited. So you had Zohoran mom
Dannie commenting on this of no surprise, showing what side

(13:51):
he is on. He calls out laying by names names,
says that he's a white supremacist, but then doesn't talk
about the suspect who threw the improvised explosive devices, avoids
any sort of terrorism label. Now, in an update to this,
a third device was found. New York City Police locked

(14:13):
down part of the Upper East Side in Manhattan yesterday.
That's because the Mayor's residence expanded as officers discovered another
suspicious device that would be the investigation expanded. Police confronted
the situation was connected to the investigation into an improvised
explosive device used during the arrest the previous day. Listen,

(14:38):
I don't agree with Lang's approach in protesting. That being said,
I do absolutely support his right to free speech, peaceful assembly,
and I don't deny that he's absolutely exposing the violent
radicals on the left. But he should be allowed to
protest without fear of violent pushback regardless of what his

(15:02):
commentary is. And it's just a matter of time, you know,
I'm watching this unfold over the weekend prepping for the show,
and I'm just thinking to myself that, you know, we're
not that far off to actions like this having been
taken here in Minnesota. We're Operation Metro Surge to go
and continue. We were teetering on that point. You know,

(15:27):
you have the goofiness, the silliness of tossing, you know,
rubber male appendages at ice officers. But the anger was real.
The violence against immigrations and customs enforcement was was real. Thankfully,
nobody took to the links that these individuals did in
this protest. But with all the encouraging going on of

(15:50):
Democrats of individuals to continue to go and get active
on the streets, I'm you know, it's sad to say,
I just believe it's a matter of time. Thankfully, these
dunderheads did not end up injuring anybody. We'll see how
long they actually stay behind bars, especially in New York
City given who is currently running that place. Later on
in the show, we'll talk about a guy who maybe

(16:12):
is the head of the Curve. Ron Hubbard builds bunkers
designed to help people survive everything from drone attacks to
nuclear armageddon. He's been inundated with calls since the launch
on Iran, and when you couple this with the protesting
getting ramped up the way that it is, Yeah, perhaps
this guy's onto something. So details on this coming up.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
We'll talk with.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Andrew Langer, president of the Institute for Liberty next and
how the media is having difficulty covering Operation Epic Fury
and its success. We'll also get into Jesse Jackson Junior
rebuking Obama, Clinton and Biden for not truly knowing his

(16:56):
father during their memorial service. We'll get to your comments
as well from the iHeart Radio Apatol coming up on
Twin City's News Talk AM eleven thirty and one oh
three five FM.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
In a time when it can be hard to hope,
each day we wake up to some new assault on
our democratic institutions, another set back to the idea of

(17:32):
the rule of law, an offense to common decency.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Every day you wake up.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
To to things you just didn't think.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
We're possible.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Each day we're told by those in how off us
to fear each other and to turn on each other,
and that some Americans count more than others, and that
some don't even count at all.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
That was former President Barack Obama. He sounded different than
the last time I heard him talk. That was during
Jesse Jackson's funeral over the weekend Twin City's news Talk
Am eleven thirty one oh three five FM. Those comments,

(18:25):
along with comments from former President to Joe Biden and
former President Bill Clinton, prompted Jesse Jackson Junior to make
these comments in the wake of Reverend Jesse Jackson's memorial
service over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Yesterday, I listened.

Speaker 8 (18:56):
For several hours of three United States presidents who do
not know Jesse Jackson. He maintained a tense relationship with

(19:16):
the political order, not because the presidents were white or black,
but the demands of our message, the demands of speaking
for the least of these, those who were disinherited, the damned,
the dispossessed, the disrespected, demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions,

(19:40):
but demanded a consistent, prophetic voice that at no point
in time ever sold us out as a people. And
it speaks volumes about who the Reverend Jesse Jackson was.

(20:03):
Our message has already been delivered today. I can see
it all over my mother's face. Rise Jesse rise, give
Jonathan Jackson another great round of applause for.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Delivering power from ours.

Speaker 7 (20:21):
I don't even need to know what they are to
express disappointment and weariness that the next generation of NonStop
grievance has already stepped up to the plate. There are
so many opportunities available to you, and we can argue
about whether any of them are directly attributable to your
father's efforts. Regardless, at this point, there's no one keeping

(20:41):
your people down but you.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Friend of the show, Tom via the Iheartra Radio app
talk Backs brought to you by Lyndal Realty here on
Twin City's News Talk My name is John Justice, and
I'm joined once again president of the Institute for Liberty
regulatory guru Andrew Langer. I hope you had a good weekend, Andrew,
and thanks for coming on the show once again, my friend.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah, listen, it was a good weekend to say the least.

Speaker 5 (21:05):
You know, It's it's funny because my favorite Jesse Jackson
memory is when he did I want to say it
was nineteen Yeah, it must have been nineteen eighty four.
Running four President of the United States appeared on Saturday
Night Live and did a fake game show called The
Question Is Moot, in which he interrupted each of the
questions each of the contestants with his own answer about

(21:28):
the current politics.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
And at the end, Don Pardo.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
Announces who gets the car and and Jesse says, well,
I get the car.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
It was a great, great, little, great little moment there.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
But right, I mean, listen, the discourse in America, the
coursening of America.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Thank you, Barack Obama.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
Nobody turned Americans more against each other than you did
in the Democrats of your time. You know, there was
a Listen, I still don't understand what the lying, dog
faced pony soldier is or what a basket of deplorables is.
But you know, that's that's on that's on your folks.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
I just one more point on this. Talking with Andrew
Langer this morning. So President Donald Trump, in the wake
of the Reverend Jesse Jackson's passing, had this to say.
And it's an interesting juxtaposition between the criticism of Jesse
Jackson Junior over those former three Democrat presidents, you know,
taking the opportunity to you know, double down on the

(22:26):
politics of the day rather than simply you know, honoring
the Reverend Jesse Jackson Junior, and yet you had President
Donald Trump say this.

Speaker 9 (22:35):
I want to begin by expressing our sadness at the
passing of a person who was I knew very well.
Jesse is a piece of work, I want to tell
you here, was a piece of work.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
But he was a good man.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
He was a real he was a real hero.

Speaker 9 (22:51):
And I just want to pay my highest respects to
Reverend Jesse Jackson. He's a good man's As you got
to know him, you got better and better all the time.
A lot of them, a lot of people you get
to know him to get worse and worse.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Jesse got better and better.

Speaker 9 (23:09):
But I knew him well long before becoming president, and
he really was special with lots of personality, grit and
street smarts. You would say Jesse had serious streets smarts right,
a very important ingredient to life.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
I will tell you he.

Speaker 9 (23:23):
Was gregarious and someone who truly loved people, had a
force of nature.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
He was somebody that we're going.

Speaker 9 (23:30):
To greatly miss and on behalf of everyone here today.
I know you joined me in sending our condolences to
the entire family. Had a great family.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Andrew Langer, like, how hard is it? I mean, that's
I mean, that was completely appropriate, accurate. You know, in
terms of the commentary. The man has passed away had
a huge impact, you know, on America, is an icon
of the civil rights movement, and certainly in our divisive times,
people would have expected Trump to take more of a
negative tone. And yet you can compare that to how

(24:01):
those leaders on you know, essentially the side more on
the side of a reverend Jesse Jackson reacted And Trump
will never get credit for that, but mind you, but
but that's how you that's how you do it.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Right at the end of the day, no one is saying,
oh my god, Trump didn't completely trash this guy and
dance on his grave, which is which one would have
expected from from from the president. And yes, I know
it's very sad to say that we have to say
that about our president.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
It's funny.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
Watched the Ryan Gosling Saturday Night Live yesterday and one
bet and I would tell you something. The opening monologue
with Harry Styles in the audience was very funny, oh historical, hysterical,
I I am. I noted on a number of occasions
with some of the sketches, you know, especially with Sarah Sherman.

(24:49):
Her speech pattern is very similar to Donald Trump's speech pattern.
And you know all, now, I defy you all if
you ever watched that and out live now to listen
to Donald tr Trump and say, you know something, He's
got some of the speech characteristics that the pattern of
speaking of some of these scattered Saturday and Live sketch figures.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
And I'm not even talking about the guy who does.

Speaker 5 (25:11):
The Trump impression, whose name escapes me, but you watch
some of the other ones.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
It's really interesting.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
So since the onset, so before before Operation Epic Theory
was launched, as we turned our attention over to the
ongoing efforts to remove the Iranian regime, I noted on
the show that there was very little news media commentary
regarding the massive build up of our military forces in

(25:37):
the region. It was. It was very odd, and I
think a lot of that had to do with the
fact that the administration wasn't drawing a ton of attention
to it. It was being talked about, don't misunderstand, but
there certainly wasn't. There wasn't a lot of coverage prior
to the start of the of the operation, and since
then it's been really interesting. Andrew yes, to watch the

(26:01):
response the angle the Democrats have been taking, the fact
that a lot of the criticism, not all of it,
and we're going to get into this, has been somewhat muted,
and I think it's a direct byproduct of what so
many prominent Democrats had said in the past what needed
to be done with Iran. And so there still seems
to be a level of concern of being a hypocrite

(26:23):
wherein it's tough to find these days, but there are
still those that are trying to go and paint what
has been a successful operation so far in a negative light.
But the arguments don't seem to be landing as harshly
as at least I would have expected.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
All Right, John, it's like the old zen cone, right.

Speaker 5 (26:42):
If a successful military operation happens and no one's there
to report it, is it really a success?

Speaker 2 (26:49):
I mean, you know, at the end of the day,
it's funny.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Because I log some time yesterday wanting to get a
census to what's going on on the ground, and so
I was, you know, pulling up news clips.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Maybe that's not the best way to go about it,
and look at.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
This, but there was a package put together by CNN
I'm like, okay, you know, so let me see what
CNN has to say, because you know, you're you're, you're,
you're every once in a while, you and I have friends,
we have friends who, shall we say, may not be
very happy with what the administration is doing, and so
they are parroting every every negative story, any negative story

(27:31):
that they can find about it.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
I'm again, let me go, let me go see what's
going on.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
And I pull up this CNN package and it is
and you knew it's You knew it's bad, John, because
they had the somber music, but it's somber music overlain
by you know, videos and shots of you know, a
couple of warehouses and some radar towers on you know,
a couple of the United States bases in the Middle
East being hit. And I'm like, okay, so things are

(27:59):
really not going as badly as as everybody's saying, because
if it were, CNN and MSNBC would be showing relentless
videos of of bodies and of carnage and of of this.
So it's got to be going much better than than
than what folks are saying is happening. The reality is

(28:21):
we have, uh, we have air supremacy right now, I
don't know if that can change, which means that we
have severely impacted Iran's command and control structure, even if
they have elected a new Supreme leader. And that's that
is huge because it it allows the opportunity for sort
of the next phases to happen, depending on what we

(28:43):
want to get done.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Well, and as I mentioned, you know last week, there
still is on the on the right.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Well.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
While there was some frustration right from from from some voices,
some some prominent conservative voices, for the most part, there's
been a lot of support behind these operations. As I
mentioned though, you know, there's a timeline attached to that.
If this ends up being a protracted mission war taking place,
then I imagine, and especially if we see more of

(29:14):
an economic impact than sort of the smattering of commentary
around the gas prices, people will quickly begin to get
frustrated with this. But so far it doesn't seem to
be the case that this is going to be a
lengthy operation. I am curious to see what shakes out
now that the Iatola Kamane's sun has been placed as

(29:38):
Supreme leader. And as I talked about when the show open,
he's currently on bombing watch because it seems like every
time they pick somebody new, they end up getting bombed.
So I'm curious to see what takes place with that
moving forward. But as long as this remains, you know,
a relatively short campaign and there is a success to
the mission, you know, I think this is a huge
benefit to Republicans and to Trump, especially heading into the midterms.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
Well, I think I think it all depends on what
the Democrats and Democrat governors allow to happen in terms
of prices, you know, coming down, you know, what we're
able to do in terms of patrolling to the president
mates and remarks about the strategic patrollum reserve over the
weekend and making sure that gets filled back up.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
You know.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
Here's here's the thing, right The ancillary benefits are how
we have disrupt and have disrupted and continue to disrupt.
What I will say, I will borrow a phrase I
don't particularly like it from from George W.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Bush.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
The the axis of evil, you know, the the the
interplay between Russia, Venezuela, Iran, and China. And of course
there are other proxies that are in there as well.
But right now, two of China's major partners, two of
Russia's major partners have been taken off the board, at
least for the time being. This has huge impacts, right

(30:57):
What what happens if what happens if Russia is no
longer able to get drones from Iran? What happens if
China is not only their energy economy, but they're manufacturing economy,
right because remember it's not just that that oil fuels,
you know energy, but you know oil is what China

(31:17):
uses to make plastics and to make other kinds of products.
So you know what happens if China is no longer
able to do those things and make the plastics that
you know Iran and Russia conturn into drones. So you know,
all of those things go hand in hand. Now, obviously,
you know folks are watching what happens in Cuba.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Next, I will say this much.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
Right, we know that China, which was engaging in very
aggressive operations over Taiwan, has pulled back those operations.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
So there's a success right there.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
We know that Russia is sort of reeling from this
all as well. So if we can keep prices at
least stable, right, well, at the same time, Russia is
forced to come to the negotiating table and find some
peace this spring in Ukraine.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Yeah, I mean I can have an impact. Let's not
overstate it.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
Right, The odds are against Republicans going into November.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
But whether or not all of these things can turn.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
What would be a what could be a blue wave
into a blue trickle similar to what happened in twenty
twenty two on the opposite side with Republicans, then all
is right with the world.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Yeah, And I'm just going to add back into the
mix what I keep saying as well, and that is,
you know, the Same America Act. That's the one two punch.
If Republicans do not get that across the finish line, yeah,
that that to me is going to be okay. Yeah,
the midterms are going to be are going to be bad.

Speaker 5 (32:50):
It's the same Act, and it's the redistricting you know.
I mean, obviously your listeners are mostly in you know,
the Minnesota area, that the upper Midwest, but you know,
Virginia started early voting on Friday for its you know,
illegal and unconstitutional redistricting efforts, with with folks finally asking
the question, wait a minute, if this is good for elections,

(33:12):
as the Democrats are saying, then why is it only temporary?
And if it's not going to be just temporary, why
are they claiming that it's going to be temporary. This
is the kind of chicanery that is happening all around
the country.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Well, last thing, Andrew Langer, before I let you go,
you mentioned it a moment ago, and that is you know,
Trump teasing taking Cuba. You know, he said as much
again over Yeah, he said as much again over the weekend.
And this is also a situation where you've had even
the most ardent you know, anti trumpers like Bill Crystal,
they've been in support of, you know, the US taking
over Cuba. This is not this would not be the

(33:44):
first time that we did it. Your thoughts on this,
do you think the president will will make this will
make this move? And a lot of individuals are saying that,
you know, what was taking place in Venezuela, the operations
there are directly tied to and the precursor to what's
happening now with Operation Epic.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Heiri.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Well, listen, I think at the end of the day,
if Cuba can be taken without much shed of blood
and held and turned into you know, able.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
To rejoin the Community of Nations. That would be a
truly great thing.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
I just I'm wondering what my you know, my libertarian friends,
my small l my big l libertarian friends, who are
all aghast about this, And yeah, I get it. We
don't want the president to start all kinds of major wars.
But on the other hand, you know, we've been hoping
that the Cuban people can be free for almost seventy years.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Now.

Speaker 5 (34:36):
You know, this guy maybe getting things done, and maybe
that's it John. Maybe he recognizes, you know, Republicans are
going to lose the mid terms, Let's do this now.
But he doesn't particularly care what happens in twenty two
And I don't think he really does care what happens
in twenty twenty eight. I think he's going to let
Vance and Rubio duke it out. And I don't think

(34:57):
that's a you know, I don't think they're going to
duke it out too it out, but they may. They
may they may have to figure out who's going to run.
And you know that's so he's he's looking at, let's
get this stuff down now while I can get it done.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Well, it's that situation of and and Listen, I don't
want new wars either. I'd rather see is not involved
in in these conflicts. But at the same time, I
also respect the fact that we cannot maintain the status
quo forever. And you know, as you mentioned with it
with Iran, they've been chouting death to America for far
too long. That's just, you know, the lowest argument I

(35:31):
can present him on a bunch of a short time.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
Hold On, hold on, let's think about this, right, because
we focused on these things piecemeal for so long. And
maybe that's the difference between the doctrines here, is that
in one fell swoop, we can have you know, change,
I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say regime change. We're gonna
we can have regime change in Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, possibly Russia.
But we can end the rush of Ukraine conflict, and

(35:54):
we can make China take a massive step back. Maybe
it all has to be done at once in order
to actually accomplish something.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
He pulled the you pulled the band aid right off
and expose the wound right something like that. Yeah, exactly,
there you go, Andrew Langer, what have you been involved in?
The people can go and check out.

Speaker 5 (36:11):

episode of the Federal Newswires Lunch Hour out today.
