I'm looking at particularly. The only one that really matters
to me is points per game. The Cincinnati Bengals, the
only team we beat at home this year, ranked dead last,

lot of points, isn't it. Second to last points allowed

per game at twenty nine point seven, the Dallas Cowboys,
third to last points per game, New York Giants twenty
eight point two, and fifth to last at twenty six
point nine. Sunday's opponent the Washington Commanders. So the problem

pressure ain't off at all with JJ McCarthy. Now, he
was good to be judged on who you know, his
performance the rest of your regardless, but when you factor
in what looks to be three very inviting opportunities to

serviceable at least or respectable at least, if not now win,
that's it. If he doesn't do it now, that in
of itself, I would think might be very concerning to
koc the quarterback Whisperer and everybody else related to TCO

a clear mind. I was going into this game without

they're hiding all the stat team stats from the kid

I would say, two clicks and you got it. Don't
worry about blocking it from nine. I would block it

six points a game, so they're in the bottom third
and yet have somehow been able to survive that in
part because they're offense has been very productive.

So now, yeah, I mean, they're just they're just gonna
have to make sure that or you just lie to
JJ and say, these are three pretty formidable defenses, you know,

weekend against the commanders or then the next two at

of their top six defensive players when you consider when

They don't always get victimized to exactly the same level, obviously,

but doesn't work for undergrads. JJ McCarthy, Well, this is
the first people have brought that up. I mean, the

other quarterbacks that he has fixed or at least enhanced
for short periods, all were veteran qbs. That's very true,
guys like Matthew Stafford obviously, cousins Arnold Darnald and if
even for a brief period past or not, you could
say who'd at least been around the block, even if
he use a journeyman quarterback.

So does that interesting? Yeah?

It is because it it does speak to whether all
along he did treat his guy as a graduate school
quarterback before he had pretty much completed his undergrad responsibilities, and.

The number one thing that contributes to JJ McCarthy's problems
is inaccuracy. I want to make sure I'm clear on that.
That to me is at the top of the food chain,
top of the list. But then there are other things
that can contribute to making something that's bad look perhaps

of defeat, but try to get carve out a few
more ws within the game, even if the final.

I'm looking at the defensive stats, team stats, National Football League.
I'm looking at particularly. The only one that really matters
to me is points per game. The Cincinnati Bengals, the
only team we beat at home this year, ranked dead last,
allowing thirty one point two points a game. That's a
lot of points, isn't it. Second to last points allowed

per game at twenty nine point seven, the Dallas Cowboys,
third to last points per game, New York Giants twenty
eight point two, and fifth to last at twenty six
point nine. Sunday's opponent the Washington Commanders. So the problem

here for the kid looking to be everybody's just sown.

he's not able to get something done against three of
the five worst defenses in the National Football League, where

are we then? So I actually think even if no
one's expecting the Vikings to win anymore, no one's expecting
them to make the postseason, you can't argue that the
pressure ain't off at all with JJ McCarthy. Now, he
was good to be judged on who you know, his
performance the rest of your regardless, but when you factor
in what looks to be three very inviting opportunities to

get on the board, no to just sort of get
serviceable at least or respectable at least, if not now win,
that's it. If he doesn't do it now, that in
of itself, I would think might be very concerning to
koc the quarterback Whisperer and everybody else related to TCO
Performance Center, don't you think?

a clear mind. I was going into this game without

they're hiding all the stat team stats from the kid

computer so he can't get It's real easy to do.
I would say, two clicks and you got it. Don't
worry about blocking it from nine. I would block it
from eighteen. Justin Jefferson. I would block it from him

so he doesn't know. Because if he's out there running
all his routes, that's true, knowing how bad these defenses
are and he's getting four targets, that's not good. I
would not be I feel good about Yeah, that's not
going to be good at all.

So that I think is going to be part of
the way he's he's measured. Now again, I don't know
that all three of these defenses are at their worst
right now. Those are statistics, you know, assembled over the

on the team with the best defense in football in
terms of points game per game allowed?

I thought maybe there was a couple you might have
thought of. Houston Texans Shawn Salisbury's Houston never would have
gotten are absurd right now. In fact, I think they
played Kansas City this week and a lot of people
I think Houston might pitch a shut up.

At second place, the La Rams seventeen to five, third,
Seattle eighteen to one. I would have led with the
Browns because that's what it was two months to two
months ago. Yeah, they've they've fallen to the mid to
the middle. But again you look at well, let's see
is it a coincidence. Houston's won Rams, two, Seahawks three,

Indianapolis and the Eagles.

What do all those teams have in common? Pretty damn
good records.

Sleep correct, Yeah, decent quarterbacks, it's extremely good. Now where
are we We're in the middle. We're a full touchdown
behind the Houston Texans. We're averaging giving up twenty three
point four points a ball game, which, as I look
at it looks to me like it's maybe just a
little bit below the midpoint in the National Football League.

What's interesting about this.

Too is the Bears, who are at eight and three,
I think going into the big showdown game in Green
Bay against the Packers. They're giving up twenty five points
six points a game, so they're in the bottom third
and yet have somehow been able to survive that in
part because they're offense has been very productive.

That's a big part of the deal.

So now, yeah, I mean, they're just they're just gonna
have to make sure that or you just lie to
JJ and say, these are three pretty formidable defenses, you know,
so don't But just so we're not expecting a lot
of right, just lower his you know, lower you expect
your expectations. So he's not, you know, getting worked up

about Oh my god, if I don't do something this
weekend against the commanders or then the next two at
least the home ones, right, then that I then where
are where am I?

The Bears were missing for most of the season four
of their top six defensive players when you consider when
you factor in the secondary. So again, well, okay, so
we because we live this team's injuries, we get into
this weird vortex where we think, well, this is somehow.

We're being victimized. Many teams get victimized.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
They don't always get victimized to exactly the same level, obviously,
but there's a lot of that. So I don't know
if there's something else that I'm missing. I think YOUOC
is a graduate level whisperer. Great for those with a degree,
but doesn't work for undergrads. JJ McCarthy, Well, this is
the first people have brought that up. I mean, the

other quarterbacks that he has fixed or at least enhanced
for short periods, all were veteran qbs. That's very true,
guys like Matthew Stafford obviously, cousins Arnold Darnald and if
even for a brief period past or not, you could
say who'd at least been around the block, even if
he use a journeyman quarterback.

So does that interesting? Yeah?

It is because it it does speak to whether all
along he did treat his guy as a graduate school
quarterback before he had pretty much completed his undergrad responsibilities, and.

The number one thing that contributes to JJ McCarthy's problems
is inaccuracy. I want to make sure I'm clear on that.
That to me is at the top of the food chain,
top of the list. But then there are other things
that can contribute to making something that's bad look perhaps
