I don't know how to answer that. I mean, I
watched most of that game, and then I was able
to you know, obvious, you flip over and watch the
brick wall that is Wallstead and the wild shutting out
conn or McDade.

The numbers that he's posting are like mister zero. You
know who mister zero was. I'm not sure what mister

Then they went out this after he said we have
to play better defense. Right then they went out and
barely played any in the first half. The New Orleans
posted sixty eight points, including forty three in the second question.

In front of about eight hundred people. And I will
tell you that acceptable. It's not.

And I will tell you they were very fortunate to
get that game into overtime, and credit the Wolves for
playing defense at the right time, but they waited till
the end. It was almost too late. They came an
eyelash away from losing that game in regulation against a
three win New Orleans team. They play them again on
what is today? They playing tomorrow night again. They're staying
in New Orleans, you know, and they put on a

show and it was dazzling it in particular in the
second half. Thing he scored thirty was forty some points
and you know they won one hundred and forty nine
points on the board. But you know, they just have
these lapses, and you know, you get to give you
some credit to.

A team that's not going anywhere.

And they were making knocking down well yeah, I think
they were making some a lot of three point shots
early on.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
But that's not that's not acceptable.

And as I said, they were, they were fortunate to
get it to overtime. Then they randall came alive and
Dante played real good defensively and.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Stiffel Tower said, yeah, he played real well. Yes, there's great.

Things we do every night, but it's about doing the
boring things, doing the little things and do them every
single minute, especially at the beginning of the game. That's
when you set the tone for the whole game. That matters.
That's important. Don't they know this? What is?

Do they not have any pride of professionalism over there
at that place? Can the coach not get the message around?
Where is the general manager? Where is a rod? Where

I get all that, but it's just like to me,

Up of a lot of teams in the NBA that,
Oh yeah, They're not the only one. There are a
lot of teams like that. And the exception again is
the team that won the championship. Of any team you
would think might relax right now, But Oklahoma City I
think has hell bent on going eighty one and one
this year.

And I'm not exaggerating.

They lost the one game when they blew a twenty
point lead. I think to Portland. They've lost one game
and they've played. I think they they beat up on
the Stephless Warriors last night they won by twelve on
the road. But every single game there they play, they're playing,
and they know everybody's looking at playing the Thunder like
they're the chance, you know, like this is our chance

to knock off the champs.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
The rest of the league, the champs are getting their
best game, the best every night, every point.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Yeah, and they keep winning and winning and winning more
at all.

He's as professional.

to look at.

think the best quarterback in pro football is? And you
were saying, you know, not just for you know this
season and what we're looking, well I probably put Mahomes
number one pretty hard. But right now, just because of
where we're at in the season, you know, from every week,
who do you think CBS Sports has as the best quarterback?

Let's say Matthew Stafford. I would have to probably agree

It says his world beating stretch came to a halt
in the Rams surprise loss to Carolina. But he's had
the most prolific passing campaign of anyone this year. He's
still on pace for forty five Tuddy passes, but they
haven't been number two. And again that's why this is
actually kind of it's silly because if he doesn't fundle
that ball and he throws a Tuddy and they win,

he's probably still at number one.

Well, you the best quarterback right now this year?
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah the way. Yeah, what they're saying Drake Drake manson
number one, It says, say hello to your MVP favorite.

in the game. He's averaging almost nine yards per throw,
elevating every piece of the Patriots upstart attack, and it's

That's that's the hope of every Vikings fan that JJ
McCarthy can can turn into that because that May kid,

about this with Tennaby when we were talking about a
Volstead earlier, about how we've seen guys have great games,
great weeks, great months, great seasons, even a couple, and
then they may go by the wayside says, so, you know,

Ballston looks great. Now, we don't know. May could end up,
who knows, you know, go in another direction. But a
shirt doesn't look like it. He looks like he's he
just seems to get They they were talking in the game,
and I remember there was there was a certain part
of the game they didn't like from last year, right,
and they say, well, he's done a complete three sixty
from that he is now that is a strength of
his game, that that he's a student of the game

and improves that he's already he's already improved from year one.

Well, that's what you hope for any of these quarterbacks,
including the guy that's still that's going to be starting
for the Vikings on Sunday. And that's what the Denver
Broncos have looked at with bow Knicks in a different way.
They're ten and two, and I say, you know, Knicks
has done obviously a much better job he did a
year ago. You know, Jacksonville's been riding their quarterback for
a while now, Trevor Lawrence, and he's a lot of

people like to go on, he's never gonna make it.

They're eight and four.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Sometimes you know, you got to get the benefit of
their of your fourth place schedule, and I think New
England schedule has probably been pretty easy. But that's not
taking anything away from Drake may or that team. I'm
axous to see how they'll perform in the postseason, and
even to go against a team like let's just say
Baltimore will probably win that division. They're they're playing five
hundred ball right now, they're six and six.
Speaker 3 (13:20):

Even Tennis Kansas City Chiefs if they can get in
there as a wildcard team.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
I mean, they asked, not only are they not the
best team in the AFC, but they're not even the
best team in their division.

Well they're not, and that's why tenn is gonna own
me fifty bucks.

But I mean, if you were to take just to
further that thought, let's say New England faces Kansas City
and they won't have to play them in the They're
probably gonna buy because they're gonna have they have the
best record right now, barely ahead of Denver. Let's just
say New England played Kansas City. I say, in New
England play Kansas City, you would take New England, of course,
one hundred percent over the Chiefs. That what you're saying no,

City, you would, Okay, really, I won't bet against I.
Speaker 3 (14:10):

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Well, that's that kind of reinforces the point of who
you know, being tested? You could win how many as
the Vikings did last year.

In the one. Yeah, I mean I'm doing a little
idolizing and pedicialized. I realize that. And I can say
Mahomes is because it does seem like, for instance, you
brought Josh Allen earlier. You look at the Mattress three
and those regular season I think Josh Allen's four or
five and oho postseason, Uh, Mahomes is like four or
five and oh when it comes to when you really

need to win postseason, Mahomes is best at Josh Allen
every time. So yeah, but I certainly it would. I
wouldn't go no brainer, Kansas City would say. Oh again,
A lot of it depends on how they go. I mean,
if Kansas City is to get in, that means they
didn't limp in. They went on a run here, so
then you know, you build up some momentum and stuff.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
Oh this I think this is so wide open right now,
both conferences. I mean, you can pick your favorite team,
and you obviously can and uh, the AFC. I mean,
I think looking at who thought New England would be
in a position to challenging you know, without you know,
the post Brady Belichick. You know, like how quickly this
would be a potential super Bowl team. And you know,

you look at the rest of the teams are kind
of you throw them in a hat and go, Okay,
is Jacksonville going to be that big of a threat?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Is Indy hit the wall? The Broncos.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
I think Indy is in trouble with their quarterback. He's
got a broken I mean again, unless I've unless they've
updated that injury, and it's not that's what I saw.
He had a broken fibula. I don't even know the NFC.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
I mean, I just was greading this story before I
came in here that you know, the idea that the
Eagles last time I looked at, won the Super Bowl
last year.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
They're eight and four.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
They've still got a you know, good lead over Dallas
on charging Dallas Cowboys. Their offensive coordinator had his house
egged only in Philly because they've lost two in a
row and they haven't looked good offensively. It's pretty dangerous team,
I would say, still I would, man, I just don't
know about right now.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
If you remember, it was two years ago when the
Eagles were like ten and one or eleven.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
And then they lost five in a row, right.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
So maybe they're I think some people are looking at
that and saying this is eraly.

Every year is different, every team is different, but they're
saying it's eerily so.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
Even though they stubbed their toe and kind of a
trap game last week, I still if you push came
to shove, I would take the Rams right now as
a team to go to the super Bowl. In the NFC,
I know, and there's gonna be some you know, obviously,
we get the three teams in the NFC North, they're
gonna be, you know, trying to bite each other's heads off.
With the Bears, Packers and Lions getting back.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Packers and Bears play each other twice in the next
three weeks.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
That interesting it will be.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
And then you know, one of those teams to go
from easily when in the division, the other one could
be out of the playoffs NFC.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Does anybody think Tampa Bay is a legitimate threat?
Speaker 1 (16:56):
No, if they get healthy, I think they might. I
don't know what they hell They've just been so beat
up physically this year.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
That's the problem.

It looks like the strength again with the three teams
in the NFC West, with the Rams, the Seahawks and
the forty nine ers, you can't discount them all going
to be, you know, playoff teams the way it looks
right now.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
So Colts quarterback Danny Jones reportedly is a fractured fibulam,
signing to play. The fractures described as non display stable fracture,
which sometimes is playable. Good luck, have fun with that.
I know number three on their Listen as we go
to break, go ahead, look no further than the team
to your east. They have Jordan Love is the third
best quarterback in this year. I don't know about that,

but look at his numbers, Look at that record. He's
I still wonder if there were Green Bay fans out
there who ripped me when I said I liked the
decision to draft a quarterback.

where would that have got him? Not very far.

next quarterback for the next ten to twelve years.

What I'm saying is that there were people that said,
he why would you draft him when we're that close
and Aaron needs a wide receiver. You know why, because
you have to eventually place your quarterback eventually. So they
made the right move and I think Packer fans are
