Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are number one.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
We just grabbed every key demogram super duper.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
That's nice. Light a goo, Nito gay, Yes, boy, that
is good news.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
It is the first day of freaking July twenty twenty six.
Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Wednesday on the partch of
Morning Show. Here we are ladies and gentlemen, summ us
here in the times rap for dancing in the streets.
They're dancing in Chicago down in New Orleans. Let's dance
here too, shall we? Lots to get you on the
show today. I think our main man, Parker Fox, will
(00:33):
be in and we'll talking about all the stuff happening
in the whole white world. But let's get started with
Nick Schwartzen, Sassy's good old friend, some comedy and again
the first day of July twenty twenty six, Come on in.
I am glad you are here.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Last summer, I got the best party text I've ever
gotten from a friend of mine. I saw I'm ranting
one of my friends Jamo, at a bar last fourth
of July, and he was like, you know when he
ran into run into a body when your bar hop.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
And You're like, what's up?
Speaker 1 (00:58):
And he just like, I'll see later, let me just go.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
So that happened, and.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
I called him the next day or I text him like, hey,
how did your night end up? And this was his
exact text, My favorite thing ever, hud your nighted up?
And he text me back, dude, dot dot dot it's
a good start. Dude, punched my best friend in the face,
broke up with my girlfriend and my pants.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yes, that is a gold.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Medal right there.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Party when you go to the party Olympics, you just
brought home the gold.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I thought.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
The best part is Right after that, he wrote, I
don't know which one to take care of first?
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Operate a bump, limbs, I'm me the tires, oh wire, I'm.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Mades hey Corey, Yes, sir, very weird just happened.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
And so it's two weird things happen. One my phones
tell me it's raining outside one hundred percent and it's
not raining. Number one. Number two the sea. Did you
just listen to that comedy bit?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
I caught the last ten seconds.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
At the very beginning of it, Nick says, uh, he
talked to his friend Jamo, and I walked in the studio.
Sasa's right here in the studio by himself, and I
walked in and I go, you're Jamo, aren't you. He goes, huh,
I go, you're you're Jmo and he goes who he
(02:57):
was sitting right here?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Ye? Sorry?
Speaker 3 (02:59):
And the audio was loud.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah it was loud. Yeah, it's always loud. So you
weren't listening to your guy. I was listening to my guy.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
He talked about I was buddy, pooped his pants, broke
up with his girlfriend, punched his buddy in the face.
He didn't know which one he was, just didn't catch
his name first. Yeah, I just didn't hear his name. No, Jamo, Yeah, okay, just.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
That I heard her.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
I walked in right after he said the words, I
got a friend named Jamo. You're Jamo archer, huh huh?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Who's that?
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Okay, Now let's flip it though. How weird it be
if somebody walked into her room. Look, you're right in
the face of the city. You're jame O, right, Yeah,
you know.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
You're right.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I get that.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Well, yeah, what's wrong with Chris today? Yes? Chris? Okay,
is he hallucinating? I'm Paul. I'm Paul, and you're here.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
You're okay, Yeah, you're right down would be very odd, except.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
For you're Jamo right now? Huh? Who's that meat sauce?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
The echo of the word Jamo was still.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Going, he's not wrong. Hey, let's go to the other
thing you said.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Your phone says it's raining, Yeah, says it definitely is
not it's.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Definitely not raining. It says it's definitely raining outside the
window right now. In fact, the there's little plops up
here right showing on my phone. And look at all
the green on the radar says we're surrounded by green.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
So it must be raining somewhere, just not here yet.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, I wish it were raining.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I wish Thanks Jamo, Yeah, thanks, who's Jamo? Who? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
I was lost there? It happens, you want Lebron, I
mean it's uh. I think I got about the same
chance of giving birth as a man as that happening.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
But that would be great.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
You don't think it's even impossibility.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
It's not zero.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
But why is people? I mean I thought it is zero?
Like like I heard Brero like mid sentence change his
mind yesterday, Like why are people saying it's possible now
that he mentioned he's not coming here?
Speaker 5 (05:09):
Well, I think the reason it's a possibility and correct
me if I'm wrong.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Is I think.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
I don't think he can win it with the Warriors,
especially if they're not going to get Anthony Davis. Not
that Anthony Davis really matters, but when Anthony Davis plays,
he's a very good player.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Can they win it in the heat? With the Heat? Maybe?
I think it's just that.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
Ever, the people that put the pieces together think that
this would be an unbelievable landing spot for him. He
doesn't have to carry the full workload with LaMelo and Ant.
They need a power forward, and in a stacked West,
they could They give him a very good opportunity. They're
(05:56):
twenty to one I think twenty two to one without him.
I think they get down to that fifteen to one
range with him, Like they have a shot with him
better than Golden State. Who's the other team? It's the heat?
And then what's the Cleveland? I don't I mean? And
they basically broke down last night in ESPN that why
would he want to go to Cleveland when the head
coach is basically saying after they lose games that they
(06:19):
analytically won the game, right, Like, tell.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Me, does that make any sense to you?
Speaker 5 (06:24):
No, but I think there's an opportunity to win here.
That's the boiler one penny.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
I mean, I don't think you're gonna have to pay
him a lot.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
I'm not quite sure why I'm here or what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
That's me every day. It was a dramatic sip at
the end of your sports take.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Well, I mean it was like take completed, like Facebook,
dramatic sip. Huck loves Facebook. I do. I wonder what
I've missed? Never being on Facebook? Literally never. Yeah, I
was on a first short.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
I had a handful of years that it was getting
real frustrating because people would always text me links to
Facebook videos and then I would constantly, like an idiot,
click on the links, going well, maybe this time it'll
just open.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
The same Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Gotta sign in. I don't have a face. I don't
have a face, never had one, not for one second,
never will. No wonder what I missed.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, Kindness training.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Kindness training, Yeah, a big part of Facebook. That's a
thing as a requirement.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, I didn't know that bunch of sweethearts on Facebook?
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Are there? Sure?
Speaker 5 (07:39):
The last time I saw a Facebook page it was
somebody hockey went to high school with breaking down how
they needed drug money.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
I gotta tell you, dude, that's so funny you bring
that up. Yeah, because she just went on another rant
against stas, against who the Supreme Court that.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Oh I thought you were going to say Nick's friend.
I kid you not, dude.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
She went on a three day not like three posts,
three day rare and I couldn't help.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
I was so intrigued. I had to read it. Paul,
put your hand down, Yeah, I knew it. Yeah, give
us the three day take in five seconds. What was
her take?
Speaker 3 (08:15):
She was convinced that Scotis was against her, against her
specific specifically making choices that specifically affected her life. I mean,
this girl is on drugs?
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Oh yeah, what was the one? I mean this is
years ago.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
Yeah, but I think she was basically fight out asking
for drug money on Facebook.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Yeah yeah, okay, so what's the problem.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Yeah, well, I guess that's what Facebook is for me.
But no, she was she was convinced that the Scotis
was superior, the the Supreme Courts was holding her, uh
her money, keeping her money from her. Uh you know,
it's hard to make sense. That a nonsense. Yeah, but
(09:01):
I was like, wow, I can't believe, and I'm glad.
I hope she figures things out. I mean, I knew
this girl her whole young life. She was one of us,
and now she is just gone to hang on.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
A second here, I don't know this gal at all.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
I've never read these posts, so I'm talking way out
of turn here.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Yeah, do you agree with her?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Do you think a long history of drug abuse has
affected her brain?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
It could?
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Yeah, it could.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah, it seems as.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
If I mean, tell me if I'm over the line,
is that uncalled for or not?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yeah? Do you think maybe Hawk's.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
The one that got away?
Speaker 3 (09:36):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Well didn't you do it three day rand about his
scrotum instead of this brilliant No, all all members, Yeah,
every single one of them is against her.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
I think interesting.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
You know, it was like somebody had told her SCOTUS
and she I don't think she knows what that it
stands for, Supreme Court of the United States. I think
she thinks it's.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
A person person it really, it's.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Amazing you brought that up, sus, because I never would
have remembered that.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I read three days of it. Three days? How many
posts do you think?
Speaker 3 (10:13):
And it was local stuff like in my hometown that
she was sure Scotis was doing to her.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Because they directly affect Union City.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Yeah, like Scotis. Like, here's a good example. Scotis was
making sure that they didn't pick up her trash.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Wow, that's why the Supreme Court Free four were.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Piste piste that her trash was stacking up outside her.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
House because the Supreme Court was.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Making sure that the trash was nothing.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Yes, you slept this lady.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
There was no sleeping involved.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Oh good point Supreme Court.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah. And by the way, I hope she never hears
this because she might have me killed.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Yeah, by the Scots. Yeah. I don't know what Cory
is doing.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I'm asking chat EPT for some help here, hang on,
talk amongst yourself. So that Rhode Island either a road
nor an island discussed?
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Is he choking to see if Scotis might have had something?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Yeah? Did they control waste management?
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Maybe maybe they do.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
I've heard Did I say chat GPT? I meant co pilot? Yeah,
of course guaranteed human here.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
After our conversation yesterday, I'm not sure there's anybody in charge.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
He's not liking his results.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
No, he's not, you tell because that lady, I don't
want to be an image. Great song. I wish we
could play that. I love that song so dusty.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
I'd like to be able to play helping me make it.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Oh yeah, great, bit, we can't play that anymore.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
No, I'm not sure. By the way, did you see
the giant wound on the side of my head?
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Yeah? What happened?
Speaker 3 (12:13):
I shaved my head too soon after naptime. I was
not yet awakened. I bled like a stuck pig.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Yeah, it looked bad, I thought, maybe, Yeah, something else happened.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
So I asked chat Ept what could scotis stand for
if I specifically.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Lived in Union City, Indiana?
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Okay, and chat Ept says, it's almost always universally understood
that it would still be the Supreme Court of the
United States. But if you're looking for a local backronym,
as it says, I guess an acronym backwards, it could
stand for the supporting communities of the Union state line. Yeah,
does she think that the supporting communities of the Union
(12:52):
state line are against her?
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Well, the state line runs through my hometown.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Well maybe this stotus is against her.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Maybe she is not on drugs. Maybe she's right?
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Is it the Is it the Southern County Outreach Team
of Union Schools?
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Well, there is a school called Union not far from
where I grew up.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Is that where Jim Jones went?
Speaker 3 (13:16):
No, I'm not sure Jim went to school. What if
she has a point?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
What if? What if she's right?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Is it the Soybean Cooperative of the United States?
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Why would they keep her?
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Try? Why do they care what she does?
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Do?
Speaker 7 (13:37):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (13:37):
This has gotta be it? Thanks chat GPT.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Is it six cornfields outnumber two urban streets?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
We have no urban Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:46):
What are you talking about? Is it? Stop calling our
town upside down? Stranger? That brilliant? Is it?
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Squirrels can out smart trash cans under street lights?
Speaker 8 (14:03):
Because why do we need when we have AISHCNDS.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Man? Union City? Man, cool little city?
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Thank you?
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Some cows occasionally take unusual scrolls.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Yeah? Does she think that the cows are against?
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Is very thin?
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Man? Was this the lady who got the dad? H
hold on? Was this the lady the reason you got
beat up by a dad? No?
Speaker 3 (14:32):
No, no, no, that lady is doing just great and
she's doing real good, real good.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
So in complete summation, Lebron's not coming here.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
I don't think so, But he should because I could
offer him gut her helmet from gutter Helmet mn dot
com never clean your gutters.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Again, because he wouldn't know how to clean a gutter.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Yeah, I mean no, why would he?
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
The big hot take though, that Sauce kind of alluded to,
is that, for the first time in his entire career,
this will not be financially based. Lebron and his agent
apparently have said he wants basketball happiness. He wants a
good fit with a competitive team, place that he wants
to play, and that money is not the driving force
this time, and.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
He loves ann basketball happiness.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Just wants to find a good spot where he could
be happy and have fun. Because this is obviously unbelievably
likely to be his final year, right, overwhelmingly.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Likely to be his final year. Maybe not in on
the planet, I don't think so. That's also not zero.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
You never know him back there.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Maybe his scotus is against him too.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Fine, Oh, Zach is back.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Oh look at Zack's in the dark. I didn't know
Zach was here in the doc. Oh yeah, look at
Zach back there. I didn't know zach was back there.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Thanks Sam History, I know, I know you're back today.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
There he is there, you are look at you back
from the Diz.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
I can't believe gois allowed you back in the building.
Speaker 7 (16:08):
It was really tough getting through TSA because they were
looking at me and my cows.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Back from the Dizz. All right, the band's back together.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Cows more the Power Trip Morning Show after this on
the Fan.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Every now and then you find a deal that actually
feels like a win.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
With straight Talk Wireless, you get more and Pale Welcome
back to the Fan. iHeart Radios Cafe. It's the Power
Trip Morning Show. It's a preschool. The teachers have all
left and the toddlers are running.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
The blue hell. Yeahs would work. Yeah, but the kids.
I don't think it would work.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
I don't think it is working.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Hey, yeah, Zacho's Baco.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Zachary. How was the Diz? How is Disney hot and sweaty? Amen?
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Brothers law talk about it?
Speaker 7 (17:01):
Yeah, yeah, it's in the stormy it was you know
Florida is they could just have pop up giant thunderstorms Papa,
and they have Papa pop up.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
So yeah, big storms man anything new.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
It is not really.
Speaker 7 (17:19):
I think that's probably why the Tenants isn't as great
this year.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Here.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
They got a lot of stuff that's under that's building
that they're building down there. But uh, how aerre the
lines not too bad. Like I said that the tenants
is down. They just had an earnings called and they
said it's down like one or two percent or something
this year. So it's got a lot of stuff under construction.
But it's fun, it's good.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
That might be the reason for this for teloaded in
this morning.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
The discount evening tickets are now on sale for fifty
nine dollars that will get you into one park until closing.
At California Adventure, you can enter starting at five pm.
At Disneyland, you'll have to wait until seven o'clock. The
fifty nine dollars tickets can be used from July twelve
through August fifth, but only on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
(18:08):
Regular Disney tickets started one hundred and three dollars. I'm Markednfield,
so Zach, what time does it close? If you don't
get in there till five or seven o'clock? What's one
of these parks closed? Well I can't.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
Nine o'clock is when Hollywood Studios closed when we were
there that day, and then yesterday we did a thing
called after Hours, and so you can we Magic Kingdom.
You go in, you can get in anytime after seven o'clock,
and then the park closes down for everybody else at
ten o'clock. But then we have from ten pm to
(18:40):
one am, and it's basically every ride is walk on.
It's just the people who have the who have bought
those after Hours.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
How much extra is that? Well, it's not extra. It's
its own standalone thing.
Speaker 7 (18:51):
So you get free pop free water, free popcorn, free
ice cream they have stationed throughout. It's it's actually, I
think the way to go. Plus it's like basically after sunset,
so it's not as hot. It's actually comfortable to walk around, and.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
The little kids are gone right because it's way past.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Oh yeah, so just getting freaky yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Oh yeah, they get super freaky. Wow. It's it's great.
Man that tron coaster. Man, have you done that? Core?
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Oh dude, Jared Letter runs the ride now, yeah he.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Does because all of his movies have bombed.
Speaker 7 (19:29):
It's it's crazy, just when you think it's not gonna
get any faster. It keeps getting faster. It's it's awesome.
It's a really really cool thing.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
So heard good things about that, heard good things about
Guardians of the Galaxy.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
He's still eleven, done that one whatever.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
One of these days, we were in line for a
Slinky Dog Dash this roller coaster, and uh literally as
we were next up, they shut it down because of
lightning in the area, which it never rained and never
even we never even saw the lightning. But we waited
for an hour and a half to finally get on
(20:04):
because we had nothing else to do. And I actually
worked out because I watched the end of that Travelers Championship.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
Man, that was fun. Yeah, well mostly the end of
it obviously ended up being a one too a playoff.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
But let's just call a spade a spade. You were
watching Victor Howlin.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
Oh yeah, I mean, come on now, those white pants.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Okay, take it down a ash. You're at the dizz
Yeah it's the doz Man.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Well yeah, all right, well, welcome back, Yeah, welcome back.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
I wait for Vegas. Went tomorrow, Yeah, tomorrow, you.
Speaker 6 (20:35):
Leave for Vegas, lucky uh oh mel.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Yeah, yeah, what are you doing in Vegas? Is there
a reason you're just going to.
Speaker 7 (20:46):
I booked it in December because I was between Vikings
and Wild and I wanted something to look forward to,
and it was uh free to stay at Cosmo.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
So I fod, oh my god, you lucky best and
you go with the sphere again.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Yes, that was gonna go see a Llennium again. So
what is that? M artist?
Speaker 7 (21:09):
But uh yeah great, just awesome DJ than the visuals.
That was the greatest experience of my life. So you
do it again?
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Or high?
Speaker 7 (21:20):
A little bit of high, but you gotta what did
I say last week? It's like I wanted to add
to the experience. I don't want it to distract from it.
So look at you being responsible.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
I don't know if he's being responsible. No, gosh, I
think he just don't want to freak out.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Yeah I don't think.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Yeah, I mean breaking the worst man. Yeah, too high
is the worst.
Speaker 7 (21:41):
And just the drug during the opener when we when
I saw him in in April, during the opener, we

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Everybody's looking at me like I'm a raft.
Speaker 3 (22:41):

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Not bad? What the hell? Yeah it's not.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Well, yeah, I guess it's good to click and just
get that out.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
There's this guy's got to be a race. This guy
walking up over here, he's gotta.
Speaker 2 (22:54):

face see thanks pee wee. Did you guys just see
pee wee herman, No, man, Yeah, he.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Was accusing that guy of being a racist, and then
the guy definitively said that.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Corey?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Do you think that you look more forward to tomorrow
than you do today?
Speaker 5 (24:33):
That's a very good question, and I would say yes,
I think so. Yeah, you don't think. I don't think
you live in the moment enough.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
I do.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
You always look at what's about to happen instead of
just like, what's today? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:44):
You know what today is? July first, Wednesday. It's Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
Yeah, let's deal with Wednesday before we deal with November first.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Like, that's kind of insane that you just said that
his speech is four months away, not four days away.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
People to know it's four months months away, four months
from today.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Interesting, yeah, man, interesting take.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Help you knockout round the US is favored as if yesterday.
Speaker 1 (25:49):

England and the Congo at eleven, Belgium and Senegal at three.

it is sweet, so yes, I will probably watch.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
It'll probably end a one zero tie or one zero
victory or a zero zero tie. It was one zero ties.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Can't be if Are you more excited for tonight or
Hawk speech four months from today?
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Hawk speech?
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Live in the moment, buddy, I am today is today? Yeah,
like you're not guaranteed November first. No, no, no, no,
I'm not And I didn't mean it iHeart, I just
mean it in life.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
No.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
No, you're right though, but yeah, no, you're you're right today.
From today on, I'm gonna live in the moment, Live
in the moment. I'm excited for whatever happens at six
o eight today, As.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Kevin Cronin says, live every moment, Love every day.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
The old sales guy.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well, I'm sure he's sold. It's rock
and roll music.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Do we have a sales don't tell me it's Cronin
speed Wagon? That's right, speed Oh and you're wearing the shirt. Okay,
that's a pretty good hint.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
I didn't know if it was thirty eight Special or
speed Wagon.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Or he's playing with thirty eight Special. I am what
is it?
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Something loves Jezebel or he loves Jesse Jean loves Jezebel.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
That has to be horrible.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Why are you like that?
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Jean loves Jesseph, but.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
I don't know why you don't like him?
Speaker 1 (27:39):
What's your favorite? Jean loves Jezebel? So jell us, how
does it go? It's Candlebox's kem bout so.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
In the last twenty four to forty eight hours, whatever
it was, the Wild did not make a qualifying offer
to Bobby Brink, but all the reports were that both
sides were reportedly still open to a new deal, and
then sure enough, a one year, two point seventy five
million dollar deal.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
So this is kind of.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
A bet on yourself kind of deal for Bobby Brink, right, Like,
let's just do a one year deal. I can see
what I can do here with the Minnesota Wild, hometown kid,
give him, gives him a chance to win a title.
See what you can do on a full season here
with the Wild, and then go somewhere else.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Next year if it doesn't work out. So I'll bet
on yourself contract for Bobby Brink. That's a pretty good
deal for both sides, don't you think Zach.
Speaker 7 (28:28):
Zachary, Yeah, I mean, as as Russo said, you know,
he basically did the whileless solid there it, you know,
definitely could have gotten probably at least a million, if
not more on the free market, but he decided to
help out his squad. And obviously the fact that he's
I'm going to talk a boy helps as well. So
(28:49):
he'll get to stay home, play in front of his
family and friends, and you know, go for you know,
maybe a conference final or even beyond that next year.
So they're going to need that because they don't have
a lot of cap space. Now that the seventeen million
dollar contract with Carrill comes into play this year, so
they don't have a ton of rooms, so they're gonna
(29:11):
need hopefully more more team friendly deals moving forward.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
And so thank you, Bobby, give you your best guest.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Based on what you've heard other people talk about and
what you've read about Matt Zacarillo.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
It's it's thorny, man, It's a thorny issue right now.
I it's you know, it sounds like he's not too
happy about how things have gone on. The problem is
he's he's aging, and and you know, they there's been
talk about the fact that he the way Carill plays
with him and how he kind of depends on him.
(29:43):
They want to see Corill be a little bit more
independent and also play better with with other teammates. So
it doesn't sound like he's coming back. But if if he,
you know, they can mend some fences, I wouldn't be
written be a bad thing to have him. But there
are other targets, including one of the big names that
(30:05):
keeps coming up as andrews Lee too to come back here.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
That would be cool. A great dude in front of
the show.
Speaker 5 (30:11):
So he's into Jean loves Jezebel, he loves Jane loves.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
So why don't we just throw some money at Ziccarello though,
I mean, like, can't we just get him back or Ken?
Speaker 5 (30:20):
When he comes back in, he's not cutting I couldn't
tell who was who there?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
I know, one of those.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Let's try it again Ken when he comps back in, Yeah,
I can't tell the difference.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Oh that talk, what a scene that was.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
They're fighting in the water and they were gonna drown
each other, and then he's like, come on, man, look.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Come on, come padre. Is that what he says?
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Let me go out there and die out there? Dog,
You're not going to paddle to New Zealand. You're not
cutting back.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
He's not coming back. It's all he wanted was the
forty year storm, fifty year storm Sells Beach, Australia. But whatever. Yeah, man,
he just wanted that one ultimate rush.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Sure he had done countless skydives and robbed countless banks,
but yeah, you know what, he just wanted to surf
one giant wave. And by the way, he bit it
almost immediately.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Yeah. I mean, I've never been on the surface body,
I'm sure he.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Was overwhelmed by the size of the of the wave.
But if you watch back he barely surfed it. I
mean it was the same if you did it, Sauce. Yeah,
I mean no, Hey, I'm going to go surf the
fifty year storm.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
It's like, well, you're gonna last about two seconds.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Sauce actually lasted longer than body did before. It's fine,
neither his body. Yeah to watch, just bit it immediately,
and you know, the wave crashes on him.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
And he's not coming back. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
And he didn't, by the way, in case you're wondering
he didn't.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Can you imagine the dumbest sequel concept of all time?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
A year or two later, they just like he survived.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
No, I'm just saying that would have been the dumbest
sequel idea ever is of course he died.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
He died chasing the ultimate high.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
I'm good, throw this away. Then I wrote a whole script.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
ZEP where he says biocrnitos by Condias. The title of
your screenplay is two point two break.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
You've read it, dable, I appreciate you read it, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Or point break Tokyo drift.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Yeah. No, he's a. He's a. He teaches summer school
and uh with Courtney's Thorn Smith and break dancing.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Oh Man yeah, I don't. Can I make an observation?
I would love to. I'm watching this right now. He can't.
You couldn't physically get out to the wave.
Speaker 8 (32:57):
Well the big waves dog, Yeah, but like yeah, he
just fell, Yeah, he just fell immediately. He served for
two seconds and just got croshed and killed. You believe
it's not coming back.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
He probably wanted one more shot at it.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Yeah, his foot slip.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
Yeah, well that happens, man. He waited, He waited his
whole life to slip and fall.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
And why is the NYPD there? Well, that's that's not them,
that's not the NYPD. No, no again, listen to the accident.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
Trumps back in, that's an Australian police officer, Bell's Beach, Australia.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
That doesn't sound Australian.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Australian fosters Australian for being trump back that's Steve Irwin
the crocodiles.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Is it really?
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Imagine if he said, imagine if he said I'm a kind.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Of when he trumped back in, he didn't come back in.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
He didn't come back.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
He's not coming back.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
He surfs for a second.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
It's a giant waves.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
Have you not seen the wave I've.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Seen it, but my theory is he wouldn't ever have
made it.
Speaker 5 (34:09):
The best part, though, is hold on here if you
watch it, Colsey, which I'm sure you have, Corey I thought,
but Conta Reeves is walking away. There's one cop that
is throwing a fit because they didn't get him.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Have you seen he's the guy who yelled, why did
you let him go?
Speaker 5 (34:24):
I didn't Fio Condido gright Way right, sure, thy con Dias.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Yeah, he surved for two not even a second, one
of the great scenes in movie history. But he's just
standing on the beach staring at the waves. Man, it's
raining hard, the realization of everything he's ever wanted.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Yeah, battle to New Zealand and then he slips and falls.
He falls right, is the waves about to break?
Speaker 2 (34:52):
Look, you can't make a mistake when you're surfing a wave,
the same way you can't make a mistake by going
to the vault. But guess what happened. Body got greedy,
So we're going to the vault.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Yeah, watched the world.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Burn cost a couple of his buddies and their lives.
It's essentially all of them.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Man, I've stumbled upon a gold mine. Go on, so
I was, you know what, I don't want to waste it,
but just so you know, because I know you got
more sports to do before we bring but for what
really matters, we come back. I loved it in this
piece of audio. This this dude. It's becoming like fashionable
to pay a lot of money to be buried beside
(35:29):
somebody famous. And so that thoughts to myselves, who would
I want to be buried by? Not that I care,
you know, But and then I was like, well, who's
famous in this buried in Minnesota? There's a lot of
famous people buried in Minnesota that I didn't know. But
there's also a lot of people that I've never heard
(35:49):
of before that are buried in Minnesota that should be famous.
Really Yeah, Like like Civil War Union brigadier general Brigadier
General John Benjamin Sanborn is buried in Saint call It
Oakland Cemetery. He was a Civil War Union brigadier general.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Oh JBS is a big deal, is it?
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Okay? I've never heard of JBS.
Speaker 7 (36:09):
Oh my god, I grew up right across the street
from there. Yeah, right, literally he knew him.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Did you ever smoke a bowl on his grave?
Speaker 1 (36:19):
I said, A bone five. Whoa, whoa?
Speaker 3 (36:22):
How about Florence Treetops Clingsmith Trees Dad, that's it's a
lady trees mom.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Why did they call her tree top?
Speaker 3 (36:32):
But I think she might have died in a plane
in the tree. She only lived to She's born in
nineteen oh four, lived in nineteen thirty three. She's she didn't.
She's buried at Oak Mound Cemetery in Clay County, Minnesota.
Where the hell is that oak Mound Craignis Township. I
(36:53):
don't know anyway. Aviation pioneer, American aviator of the Golden Age,
Florence Treetops, Clinging Smith.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
That is not the nickname you want when you fly
fly planes to have tree Jesus tree tops in your nickname.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
That means you've raised a couple.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
What was the guy's name in Shots? Wash?
Speaker 4 (37:13):
God?
Speaker 1 (37:13):
That movie is brilliant? Wait? Yeah, vision was great. Bit God,
that movie's funny, it really is.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
Yeah, it's dumber than hell, but in the best possible way, right,
Yeah he can't.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (37:35):
Yeah, the Opper Harley, yeah good, it's so good. Where
he dances on the motorcycle is so funny. And the
Bridges guy is hilarious.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
In that movie. I might watch hot Shots today.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
It's about time. What about Florence Mary Macbeth, the opera
singer was born and buried uh is buried in Glenwood
Cemetery in Mankato, one of the like a world famous
opera singer, was born in eighteen eighty nine.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
Never heard of her, me.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Neither, but I'm saying she was at one point she
was so famous.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
What about the super famous people though? Who do we
have that's legit, that that we would all actually.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Have to go through?
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Because all right, Cole I well a prince of course.
Dear Abbey the journalist Abigail van Buren in Ridgefield, Minnesota,
at the Minneapolis Jewish Cemetery right there in Richfield.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Do you feel like we've talked about that because ras all.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Yeah, she died in twenty thirteen, so we were on
there when she died.
Speaker 5 (38:38):
We weren't there, right, No, we weren't there. No, we
didn't hold her hand as she passed.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
No. No.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
The doctor William James Mayo of Mayo born in Roches
are buried in Rocher Jill Hartman. He's buried here apparently
at Greenwood Cemetery in thief River Falls.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Did not know that.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
I don't know why. I don't think he's from here and.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
He Dyne was wiscons And am I remembering misremembering.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
That I thought he was in California when she shot him?
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Maybe it was? Yeah? Is is there a Wisconsin connection
to Hartman? Though?
Speaker 3 (39:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Why do I think he died in Sino Los Angeles?
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Out to Wikipedia?
Speaker 2 (39:19):
Why do I think there was some kind of a
Wisconsin connection to Phil Harmon?
Speaker 7 (39:22):
So I guess it turns out that his his ashes
were scattered over Santa Catalina Island in California. But they
have a memorial headstone in theater for Falls because his
two young children were raised in Minnesota and by his
sister and her husband.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Interesting.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
Oh okay, so they wanted to be able to have
a good place to go visit. Yeah, God, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Okay, Why did Why did his wife?
Speaker 3 (39:48):
She was on rugs, she was having a hard time.
Remember that's the whole thing about Andy Dick and John Lovetts. No,
apparently John Lovetts like maybe maybe physically attacked any one
time because he held Andy Dick responsible for giving her
the drugs. Oh and boil boy, I may have just
made that tire thing up. I mean, I apologize, Andy Dick,
(40:12):
if you're listening out there and I got that wrong.
But I believe I'm right about that. How about Florence Nope,
Franklin Clarence Mars, who founded Mars Candy Company, is buried
at Lakewood Cemetery right down.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
The road here. Wow.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
Yeah, the great Bobby V popular singer of the nineteen sixties,
buried in Collegeville at Saint John the Baptist Para Cemetery.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
I think my grandma is buried at Lakewood Cemetery.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
She was next on my list.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Yeah, yeah, she was.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
Yeah, she'ms known as Dad Old Broad.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, that's what it says on her too, what.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
It says on the tombstone.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
How about Saint Clair Lewis, the great author Main Street
at I think grand opening born and buried in Center, Minnesota, Chuck,
Charles Willard Lindbergh. Charles Lindberg buried it for snelling the
plane guy. Yep, the very same Charles Alfred Billsbury. Wow,
(41:18):
that's right, buried over Lakewood where your grandma's.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
My grandma's buried there. How many places is she buried?
Speaker 3 (41:25):
Well?
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Lakewood Cemetery over by. Uh it's right down the road. Yeah,
right down the road, man.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
It's big old cemetery, really big, beautiful.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
To That's why when we were leaving and uh, my
dad asked, uh, well, how much she missed my grandma,
and my sister said she's history and basically moved on.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
It was a great moment because she's his.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
I would laugh, right, Yeah, it's funny.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
Yeah, of course that's an she's history U everyday life.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
Please say that at my funeral.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
Yeah, nine o one on mostdays.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
If somebody goes, anybody's seen hawk, I'll go, he's history.
Speaker 5 (42:04):
We were all leaving, we were all crying, and my
dad was like, hey, cal, how much did you miss grammar?
And she pause and just goes, she's history.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
So good. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (42:15):
Yeah. We all laughed and it kind of broke the
Saturday the greatest. Yeah, it was, she's history. It's hilarious
and accurate. Yeah, she's history.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
I have so many more. By the way, something like
not famous people that you should know are buried in Minnesota?
How about by the way, I guess I didn't even
think about it, but of course he is. Louis Anderson
buried over High makes sense. Her Brooks obviously buried over
at Rose Line in Roseville.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
I think your original point is my point though, that
I can't imagine caring. Why would I want to be
next to somebody that's famous?
Speaker 1 (42:49):
What do I care?
Speaker 3 (42:50):
You know, I'll play the audio the guy during What
really matters? Who paid money to be buried beside e?
Liza Minelli, not Lizon Manelli, her mom Glan.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
Pull your hands up, Manelli. Oh, I see Judy Garland
for sure. Liza Minnelli just because she's famous.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
No, that's exactly whe I could take care of her.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
I could.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
I have to take care of her.
Speaker 1 (43:11):
She's still with.
Speaker 3 (43:12):
Us, like if she put me in her will, I'll
take care of her.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
What really matters is after this, this is the boloty
when you join the family.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Walter Mondale, Lakewood Cemetery. I had no idea Welcome back,
six twenty nine. I'm fascinated, I mean literally fascinated by
how many Medal of honor winners and heroes we have
(43:40):
buried in the state of Minnesota, one of us quite literally.
I may, I mean this may, this may wreck my day.
I may be traveling the state of Minnesota going to
famous people's gravestones. We stand there, did you have? Tiny
(44:02):
Tim was born and buried here at Lakewood Cemetery. Tiny Tim,
I mean I knew he's from here. I know he
was buried here. I wonder if there are tulips on
his grave?
Speaker 1 (44:14):
Doesn't there have to be? There has to be constantly.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
Yeah, Lakewood Cemetery right down the street here. I mean,
I mean that's a giant, big, old, famous place. But
I guess I didn't realize a lot of people, famous
people were buried.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
We'll get some steps in and go see him all
I might do that. My grandma, she's history.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Walter Fritz Monday. I'm sorry, that's the greatest line ever.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
No, it's brilliant all the time, Walter mon Down. I
can't write a line that good.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
That should be the State Fair tea shirt, a tombstone
with your grandma's name on it and underneath it she's his.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
Pot about this so good?
Speaker 2 (44:53):
So you know, yesterday at the end of the show
was like, hey, Marning, you know what, We're not going
to see you on Friday because the power trips off
on Friday. I guess I'll see in Detroit Lakes and
as soon as we went to break, she goes, Hey,
just a reminder, I can't make Detroit Lakes this year.
I'm like, I forgot that. You did tell us that,
and I completely forgot. So when it comes to Marning
Detroit Lakes, she's history.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
She's history. Yeah, she's history.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
Like let's say, when a couple of the fine young
ladies that are playing the Initials Invitational this summer, when
they get bouncing round one, what do we say, she's history?
Speaker 3 (45:23):
And then we say, ma'am, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
She's history.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
She's history.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
Great line, let's do what really matters, scores and stats
around the world of sports, and in between crystal change
of life with something else.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
And it's brought to you by Ovo, Lasik and Lens
the Legends of.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
Lasik, doctor Martinelman, and doctor David Whiteing. Go get Lasik
at Oval, Lacey and Lens. So I off of three
ninety four, not far from a bunch of Twin city
cemeteries where you can go see famous people, but while
they're alive, famous people go to Oval, Lasik and Lens.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Yep, I'm sorry I specifically sent that long Texas to
wake Marney up.
Speaker 10 (46:01):
Yeah, brilliant, She's history, and I love question three, see
or see?
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Is she there? I'm on the prowl.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
Are your nipples erect?
Speaker 3 (46:18):
And he says, Semi.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
Are you wearing underwear?
Speaker 3 (46:23):
He says compression shorts?
Speaker 1 (46:27):
You? Why did you ask the last one?
Speaker 3 (46:30):
And he says, I caught up on the way to
the gym?
Speaker 1 (46:36):
Why is he hammering himself on the way to the.
Speaker 2 (46:39):
Ron James told the Lakers that he is not returning
to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
He's history.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
He plans to play elsewhere in twenty twenty six slash
twenty twenty seven, which would be again a record extending
twenty fourth season in the NBA. The Warriors want him,
but they also want Anthony Davis, and the Wizards are
saying they're not trading Anthony Davis.
Speaker 5 (47:00):
They don't want an injured and possibly poudy.
Speaker 3 (47:04):
Jimmy Butler, Oh Jimmy.
Speaker 5 (47:06):
They don't want Jimmy there who probably won't play the
February and then won't want to be baby.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
Don't want to play for Washington? Who does?
Speaker 2 (47:13):
So Lebron James is going somewhere and yeah, people think
Warriors are maybe the front runner. Who knows, but man,
there were some feisty Wolves conversations yesterday.
Speaker 5 (47:26):
Can I ask you a question, cor Oh, that's a
serious sports question, serious sports till the main event of.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
The World Series of Pokers starts tomorrow. Do you think
I really care where Lebron James goes?
Speaker 1 (47:35):
No, no, no, no, no, I don't think you care. I
think you care, but I really don't. But I have
a question.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
It would be a circus to have him, Are you kidding?
That'd be a circus.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
It was a circus, which would be bigger, be honest,
Brett Fire or Lebron.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
And that's a real sports question. Yeah, that's a very bit. Yeah.
I mean it's comparable.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
Because both are history.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
I think the only difference is is when you are
the quarterback, by definition, you have to lead, right, you
have to be the leader.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
But Lebron's globally fo yeah, Faro was too.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
Though.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
No, not the way Lebron.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
No, I mean no, but no.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
But I'm just saying, look, Lebron, if if if you
were signing Lebron James at forty two years old to
lead your team to a title, to be like the guy,
say this is a gigantic mistake.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
He's he's very good still and.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
He's obviously in the conversation for the greatest of all time.
He's in that, you know, Mount Rushmore conversation. But that's
not what this would be. You are second or third
fiddle maybe somewhere like that on the Timberwolves at age
forty two. I think he does want that. I think
he's realistic that he's not He's not.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
The star of it.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
He's the star, the celebrity of any team, but he's
not the he's not the one that's going to get
you the title. It's going to be ant And yeah,
I know it's it's wishful thinking, but well I'm the
king of wishful thinking. Great, you'll get over you.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
Yeah, the throne.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
I'm going to pretend my ship's not sinking. Yeah, that's real.
I like that. Yeah, they could win it.
Speaker 5 (49:18):
Here my sports question to you, cor go on could
they realistically could he realistically win in Golden State.
Speaker 1 (49:32):
With just Steph Draymond and him? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (49:35):
No, right, unless they again they keep you know, moving
pieces around and can get something else. And again, Anthony
Davis plays like six games a year, So even Anthony Davis,
I don't know if that's not either, but if all
of them were in their prime and healthy. Dear god,
that team is unstoppable.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
They probably win seventy five. I mean unbelievable. But yeah,
that team would be nearly unstoppable. If if you rewind
the clock about t years. Oh my god, Yeah, they'd
have everything. They'd have everything.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
Yeah, because STEP's in the conversation for a top ten
all time. Yeah, you know, I don't know if it
would work.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
I just don't.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
I mean, and I don't think he's coming here, But man,
can you imagine.
Speaker 5 (50:18):
They could win the whole thing if he was here.
I think they can win the whole thing without him
if they make a couple of smallbody if somebody put
out six or seventeen in the NBA without lebron Ja,
he wouldn't have to be the main guy that scored,
because that would be ant LaMelo. He wouldn't have to
play a ton of defense because that's Jaden and Rudy.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
They have everything covered.
Speaker 5 (50:38):
This is a perfect spot for him, if only it
wasn't forty below in January and February that I might
I'm honestly think Cleland.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
Yeah, I don't know if he cares about that.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
Yeah, this is only about basketball and not about, you know,
living in Minneapolis for the next ten years. This isn't
like he's moving his home to Minneapolis. He's playing basketball
for a year, maybe two and half the games.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
Are on the road. I don't think he's coming here.
But I don't think it's zero percent. I don't think.
Speaker 3 (51:07):
I mean, I would really care if he did. I
really would. I would care. I think a lot of
which is why they do things to make sure I care.
Speaker 5 (51:13):
Yeah, which I hope they do things so you care.
He's three percent currently on Kelshy. Yes, that's about right. Yeah, sure,
it's not zero and don't worry partrait Bets is sick
of hearing about it.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
Oh be sick of people tweeted it at him.
Speaker 3 (51:29):
He hates the show he does.
Speaker 2 (51:31):
Yes, he hates the golf Bets, and he keeps missing
the cut. Yeah, and he had the second pick. Well,
we have won golf at first technically yeah yeah he did.
Yeah he did. I mean Scotty is technically the first pick,
but yeah, yeah he did. He had the first pick.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
Yeah. What really matters is this, dude.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
I checked this out looking for famous people buried in
the state of Minnesota. Somebody by the name of Anne Morgan.
I believe it's pronounced gibert rum close g u I
l b e r t.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Actress. Okay, what's her name?
Speaker 3 (52:13):
An Morgan Gilbert.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
She's an actress.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
She is an actress, is correct?
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Rosie went to high school with her. An actress.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Now. The reason I bring her up in particular is
because she is buried here. She is from here. She
played let Me Get Back to where I was at
in the fantastic episodic comedy The Nanny.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
God you Love that show, which.
Speaker 3 (52:48):
Ran from ninety three to ninety nine. She was yet
A Rosenberg, the Nanny's grandma.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
Right.
Speaker 3 (52:55):
She was one of the main characters on the show.
In Seinfeld nineteen ninety six. This is the Cadillac episode
fourteen of season seven. She played Avlyn on Curb Your
Enthusiasm season five, episode four, Kamakazi Bingo. She played Lenore
on Modern Family season five, episode eight, Closet con thirteen.
(53:19):
She played Grams.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
Oh I know this lady.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
Yeah, Yeah, she's buried and is from here. She was
in Grumpy Old Man, which I guess is not a
surprising great film, Thank you. She goes all the way
back to my three Sons and The Dick Van Dyke Show.
She was on sixty one episodes of The Dick Van
Dyke Show as Milly Helper.
Speaker 1 (53:41):
And now she's She's history.
Speaker 3 (53:44):
Thank you. I I did it for you. I'm sorry.
I didn't mean to steal your Touchuko. Isn't it crazy though,
because compared to this lady, I've done nothing, and I
didn't know she was a Minnesota or existed until today?
Speaker 1 (53:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (53:59):
How how sad is that?
Speaker 1 (54:04):
The world keep spinning?
Speaker 3 (54:04):
It just keeps on spinning. Done it? She was on
the Ghostbusters cartoon as the Witch in season one, episode eight,
which Witch is Witch.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
It's a It's an episode I'll never forget all time.
Speaker 3 (54:18):
She was on MOD, which was great, by the way,
Mad was and then came MOD and then came MOD.
She was on Cheers, on Newhart, on Vonney Miller, on Murder,
she wrote Blossom on Dasher, on Dancing and Improvement. She
was on like every television show.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
She's an actress. We know her credits.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
How about that? And Morgan you bear, all right, congratulations
on that. Well life all left. I'm sure your granddaughter's
probably listening. Great job of your grandma.
Speaker 5 (54:59):
She he's an actress. Bit is an all time bit.
It's one of the carry Oh she's.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
An actress, she's an actress.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
Okay, yeah yeah, Kawhi Leonard traded to Toronto. The Clippers
are getting brandon Ingram, Grady Dick insert power trip joke
here to future first.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
A couple of second rounders and a high rating. Yeah,
and a pick swap. Yeah, don't get it.
Speaker 3 (55:30):
Didn't you do some pick swapping last night?
Speaker 1 (55:32):
I got some Grady Dick for picks.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Woah, that's aggressive.
Speaker 1 (55:37):
Yeah, that's a lot, but good for you. Zachis he's
thirty five years old. What there are the Raptors doing? Five?
Kawhi Leonard? Yeah, I know? What are they doing? Not
winning with this?
Speaker 2 (55:47):
Why are they unloading a whole bunch of picks for
a guy that barely plays and he's thirty five?
Speaker 1 (55:52):
What are they doing? The hot hot rummer is I
hate this deal. That's the only team. He said he
would sign an extension.
Speaker 2 (56:00):
With his Spurs and Raptors with the rumor right, But
why the rap.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
I don't understand it.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
I don't understand why he if ever, he wants to
go to Toronto, and I don't understand why Toronto was
willing to throw the house at.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
It didn't work in la for eight years, No, it didn't.
He's a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 2 (56:17):
He's really really, really good, but he doesn't play super
often and he's thirty five years old.
Speaker 5 (56:22):
I mean Toronto was terrible plan seed last year they
won forty six games.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
Whatever. One less team to worry about, the Toronto Raptors. Yeah,
good point. What really matters is this.
Speaker 3 (56:35):
Let me tell you about this one. This gentleman Jimmy
Earle Brown, jazz musician known as Jumping Jimmy because he
would jump from balconies into audiences with this trumpet his hand.
As a member of the orchestra at the Apollo Theater
(56:57):
in New.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
York, did he create eight the stage dive? Wow? Kind
of maybe see the first one to ever crowd surf ON'M.
Speaker 3 (57:06):
The national music scene during the forties and fifties, he
was actress and singer Debbie Reynolds music director. He was
the lead trumpeter for Count Basie. He recorded for Atlantic Records.
He performed with Edda James, with Nat King Cole, with
Big Joe Turner. He was also a member of Paul
Williams and his Hucklebuckers careful. He was also in the
(57:28):
U and World War Two in the US Navy. He's
buried at Fort Snelling. He died in Maple Grove, Minnesota,
in December of two thousand and.
Speaker 1 (57:36):
Six at Costco. I may have died at Costco.
Speaker 3 (57:41):
I'm not sure there's a there. I wouldn't blame him.
He may have just given up Costco trying to get
into Costco.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
He was waiting for Crumble Cookie to open up seven
years later.
Speaker 3 (57:51):
He didn't make it a direct quote. This is worse
than World War Two.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
That uh, he took his last stage dive.
Speaker 2 (58:00):
There's a video of him jumping from a balcony to
start the Pearl Jam video for evenflow him.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
That's that's this guy.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
I may have literally waived at him at Target one
time and had no idea, right the Jimmy Earl Brown.
That's what I'm saying. People, these people, man, these people
famous people.
Speaker 2 (58:21):
Well, now you probably once in a while walk right
past Cisco and don't say hi to him.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
You don't even know what he looks like.
Speaker 5 (58:26):
Yeah, yeah, that's the wrong guy.
Speaker 1 (58:32):
Parker Fox.
Speaker 2 (58:33):
In a little bit, this is the Power Trip Morning Show.
We'll do more of what really matters after this on
the fan.
Speaker 1 (58:39):
From the one eight hundred Ask Gary Traffic Center.
Speaker 4 (58:42):
This report is sponsored Birthday.
Speaker 7 (58:44):
Bash is on at Treasure Island November fifth and sixth.
Speaker 1 (58:47):
Friday. Show is open to everyone.
Speaker 7 (58:50):

Daniel Sayaminson, and Tommy Ryman. It's full, but I'm still
join the wait list at Champion dot com Slash two five, and.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
I know we have months and months and months and
months to promote a show that's essentially sold out thanks
to our friends at Treasure Roland. But I can't say
it enough how awesome it is that those four are
helping us out.
Speaker 2 (59:14):
Chad Daniels, Kelsey Cook, si Onminson, Tommy Ryman.
Speaker 1 (59:17):
We love those four, obviously they're friends of the show.
Speaker 2 (59:20):
We're like, Hey, we're going to do this big twenty
five year anniversary batch because we're the first show in
the history of the First Twin Cities to go twenty
five straight years, and we want to make a big deal.
Speaker 1 (59:29):
About it, and we don't just want to do a
normal show.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
You guys willing to do this in all four Like sure, yeah, daddy,
that's super cool. So thanks to Kelsey, Chad Cy and
Tommy Tommy Ryman. Not Tommy Elson, although Tommy Elsen will.

Speaker 3 (59:43):
Help so it.

Speaker 11 (59:48):
I'm in him there, sweet be there to be square,
sweet dude, you big Fourth of July.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
Guy, got big plans.
Speaker 11 (59:54):
Usually in the past we have been my parents are
going to be in New York see and my you know, cousins.
So Taylor Night, this is kind of our last weekend
like not doing anything. So uh, we're probably just going
to spend some chill time at home with Winston the
pup and he's everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
She brings him on TV. He's not famous now, he's
install famous.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Going on, your dog's more famous than most of us.
Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Good.
Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
Yeah, a good looking dog. Man. He is a good dog.
I always got the run.
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
So yeah man. Yeah, I'll tell you what I met.
The biggest dog I've ever seen in my life. Yeah,
Saint Martin's, Minnesota. This past weekend on Saturday, this dog
walked up to one hundred and eighty pound great Dane.
When he stood on his hind legs, he was way
taller than me. I mean, I just couldn't believe how
big this.
Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
Bruce.
Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
Oh, that's a great it's a great name for a dog.
Human names for animals is great.
Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Yeah yeah, especially a big dog like that.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
Yeah, because he looks like a Bruce.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
You'll call him whatever he wants you to call him.
Speaker 8 (01:00:54):
Yeah, yeah, great is the best nobody can is?
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
What kind of dog dove has?
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
I actually don't think he legally should be allowed to
even own one because.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
He likes in st clombos. That's one of many reasons
can every day killer? What's anybody killer? The ABK? Apparently
I got ten cents.
Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
The guy with the buttery lobster?
Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
She once said? Who knew there was a third guy?
He's the only one.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
I literally didn't know that until he texted me and said,
which rank these three?
Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
I go? Since Winters there? Three?
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Two was enough and I've watched enough Howard Stern over
the years. Right, I know it's uh, what is it?
Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Violent? Jay and Shaggy two dope? Is that right? Got it?
I hate that I know that even.
Speaker 5 (01:01:43):
This guy is of course he does Wikipedia.
Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
What have you done well, he's famous. Yeah, he's famous
to do.
Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
Let's do more of what really matters, scores and stats
around the world of sports.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Crystal change your Life.
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
We'll get Parker's take on Lebron in a little bit,
because we've got two hours ago.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
We have a lot of Lebron questions for you later.
I got some answers.
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
Brennan Soresby will not be pursuing litigation against the NFL
to try to play this year. Remember a week or
so ago, it sounded like that was gonna happen, that
they were going to sue and say no, no, no, no, no,
you're letting us in.
Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Now they've talked it out and he's not going to sue,
but he will be eligible to play in twenty twenty
seven in the NFL. Sounds like they're going to roll
out the red carpet a year from now and go, yeah,
you'll be invited to everything and you can do all
the process that you would have normally done as a
draft pick, just not this year.
Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
So he will be in the twenty twenty seven NFL Draft.
So he's kind of just like in time out a
little bitep he's in the corner for a year. That's
probably fair when you bet that much money.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Interesting, though, when you don't play college football for a year,
even if you are working out and practicing football for
a full calendar year, that's that's one of those games. Man,
if you miss game action, do you go backwards? Even
if you are in the best shape of your life.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
You may have said this, can't he go to like
a junior college? I don't know, and like, right, like
he could be drafted out of a junior college because
he's still.
Speaker 11 (01:03:09):
Yeah, I mean that's why you're so unique too, right, right,
because it's like it's not like basketball where you can
go play all the time and pick up runs, like
there's nothing that you can emulate.
Speaker 12 (01:03:18):
That's the same as a football game at that high
of a level. So yeah, why does he just go
to like a juco just go like throw eight touchdowns
a game, just dominate? Yeah, you'd get to play if
that's an option. I feel like that's a no brain.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:03:34):
I feel like, no, gee, I'm just gonna want you
sitting there for an hundred sidelines for a year.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
What really matters is this.
Speaker 3 (01:03:40):
Corey, Yes, sir, famous dead people. You know what I
like to say about him, She's history, that's right. For instance,
James Jerome Hill.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
JJ Hill, James from Yeah, he's.
Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
Buried over a resurrection cemetery and in Doda Heights.
Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:04:01):
I think that's where my other grandm is buried. How

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
My gosh, two, They're scattered all over the state. Ones
is like in the other ones?
Speaker 3 (01:04:11):
Question for you me, is this one history?
Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
This one's long gone? Is this the one that was
an alcoholic? Although a one that never took another lover?
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
A interesting?
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Yeah, she loved booze.
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
Who doesn't. Good Point railroad pioneer Born in Ontario, Kennedy
was the chief railroad executive responsible for establishing the Great
Northern Railway lines that served the Upper Midwest, the Northern
Great Plains, and the Pacific Northwest of America in eighteen
seventy three. You know this Parker, But as a steamboat
shipping businessman in Minnesota, he saw the need to expand
(01:04:43):
railways to the rest of Western territories. Between eighteen eighty
three and eighteen eighty nine, he built his Great Northern
Railway lines all across North America. Under his management, he
helped homesteads to immigrants by importing grains, farm equipment, and
building materials. At the time of his death, he held
the monopoly of the railroad business in the United States.
(01:05:06):
They say, at the time, let me see when did
he die here nineteen sixteen, he was worth more than
fifty three million dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Wow, that was a lot at that time. Good for
not a big deal like Jalen Brown makes that in
a year.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Yeah, sweet house seventy two days, ten hours, and four
minutes until James J. Hill Days twenty twenty six, which
is done much fun but super fun.

I played that a bunch of times.
Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
The man, have you guys been in the house?
Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
You know, it's weird. I've not because I love old houses,
but I've not been in that one.
Speaker 11 (01:05:37):
I think we went in high school or middle school
one or the other, which was forever ago now.
Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
But yeah, it was super cool.
Speaker 11 (01:05:43):
It's right across from the hospital right there on thirty
five e oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
That road is so cool man, that all those houses line.
Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
Yeah, that's sweet man, Thank you. He's got to be
a top ten most famous Minnesota bot.
Speaker 3 (01:05:56):

until I got here. If I'm being honest, okay, fair enough.
Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
So wait, let's go Prince one, Bob Dylan too, Rosie three.
Speaker 5 (01:06:06):
Edburg four, Tedburg four five, Joe Mauer yeah, Ken Hurbeck, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Lombardy dozy. I don't think he was Dodd Flamberg tackle Terry.
And then James J. Hills. I think he's right around
that ten or eleven twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Forget Papa, No, James J. Hill is a bigger deal
than than beats us. Definitively. Every metric says he is.
Every metric Hawk likes Papa more. The Astros won six
to four over the Twins. Joe Ryan four innings, six hits,
six runs, all of those runs.
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
In the fourth. It was a grand slam in the
fourteen for Houston.

zero point six of an inch.

six inches out.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
They called it a strike.
Speaker 5 (01:07:07):
He tapped his helmet, it got reversed to a ball,
and a few pitches later that dude hammered one into
the seats in right field and they lost six to four.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
He makes me still mad.
Speaker 5 (01:07:18):
It's rare that you see Joe Ryan meltown. He fell
apart after that. Yeah, bad day, Yeah he did. He
has a few starts left before he's traded.
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
How many how many total innings of Twins baseball? Do
you think you've watched so far? Through eighty seven games?

Yeah, I do half the time. Sometimes I'm just yeah,
because he's so good at it.
Speaker 11 (01:08:26):
I think he's getting some national stuff that I saw recently.
I think Zacho, didn't you tweet about this day?
Speaker 7 (01:08:31):
So like every single game on Sunday and in Major
League Baseball is on Peacock This on Sunday, so, uh,
they're using a bunch of local talent. In fact, the
only road team that has their play by a play
announcer UH.
Speaker 1 (01:08:46):
Being used as Minnesota is the Minnesota Twins. So provis
is awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
We work out together, discover strength.
Speaker 1 (01:08:53):
Yeah, he's a great dude. He's strong, Yeah is he?
Speaker 3 (01:08:57):

I think he eats meat.
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Well, Tommy says, tap me in.
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
What Parker doesn't know? So I want you to explain
this to him. What is the difference between a vegetarian
and a vegan.
Speaker 5 (01:09:20):
A vegetarian is somebody who eats like vegetables. Some vegetarians
will eat eggs. But a vegan is somebody who doesn't
eat an item of food that is an animal.
Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
Byproduct. I mean what is byproduct mean?
Speaker 5 (01:09:37):
Like, they don't eat eggs, they don't eat anything that
is produced or has.
Speaker 1 (01:09:42):
A connection to an animal.
Speaker 5 (01:09:44):
Fish, Vegans don't eat fish, they don't eat some don't
eat butter because it's from macau.
Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
Would say it right, thanks job, my wife. This was
vegan for a while before I.
Speaker 3 (01:10:01):
Dated very, very recklessly close to saying vegetarian. Yeah, and
it really makes me uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
But I know one of those that makes Yeah, it
kind of makes your Randy belt.
Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
Last Thursday when Zach said Gina cologists, Yeah, China collegists,
that was one of my favorite moments ever, last couple
of months. That was so good, right on brand, Yeah, early, Yeah, all.
Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Right, Parker Fox is here. We'll do the news in
a second.
Speaker 2 (01:10:27):

and we'll.
Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
Get Parker's take on the Lebron speculation.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
Hey Corey, yes, sir, we're you going to break? Is
this possible? Nicholas a Lovely listener says that fifty three
million dollars in nineteen sixteen would be one point six
to nine billion.
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Probably that makes sense, must be rough.
Speaker 3 (01:10:51):
That's pretty cool man.
Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
Thank you, mich Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
I think back then you could buy a house for
about forty dollars.
Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
His house right now worth more than that. Yeah, really big,
very true. I wouldn't want to have to cool it
off right now.
