That's right, you got that right. You're here before you
know it. Man, We'll be in a lovely dilute a
week from today.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah, Duluth.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Did you know that? Mark first?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
What do you know?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
We're going to be in Duluth next day?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Turn that on? I do now? Yeah? Now he knows, now,
he knows Dluth?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Awesome?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Would you like to join us? I would love to
join you. Age like you to.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Daloth is one of my favorite cities.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Show you around, yes, take you out for dinner? Yeah,
never call you again.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Hug Dorothy Man is a saint? Yes? Can I do
one more like headline? Since we don't have time to
get to it later.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I would love it.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I think this is interesting. Remember when you gave Sauce
an uber ride to Milwaukee, and he went and watched
Paul Simon.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I sure do, I sure do, I sure do. He
was gonna site in my hometown.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
How would you feel about this. Let's say Chris Hockey,
at some point in your life you headlined Lollapalooza. That'd
be awesome, right, good for hugs, and your mom and
dad are there?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, Mom, and it's.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Mom, Dad. I'm the headliner at Lollapalooza. And they go,
that's great, Chris, But playing at the same time as
you over there as Corn, I'm gonna go watch them.
Because that's exactly what happened to Olivia Rodrigo. Olivia Rodrigo's
mom went and watched Corn because she loves Corn, because

(01:46):
they were playing at the same time, even though Olivia
was headlining Lollapalooza. Wow, that's pretty. That's I don't care.
Like if my daughter was playing Lollapalooza and Three to
eleven was on the other side of the festival, I'd
be like, I've seen them sixty times. That's my favorite band.
But my daughter's the headliner. Not Olivia's mom. She's like,

(02:06):
I'm going to see them. Do got the like for
the fiftieth time. Yeah, after follow the leaders, I gotta
see that.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Back in the nineties, the section finals, uh, for the
boys hockey tournament we would play I don't remember who
we played in the championship, but the Elk River Morehead
games were always epic. To go to the state tournament
and a bunch of the dads would go to the
Elk River Morehead game instead of our section championship game.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
It's pretty awesome. Would that be well received if your
mom wouldn't watch Corn instead of Chris? Well?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I know, boy almost said something, Oh you know what
they called the bass player?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah, got it.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I realized I wasn't talking about his dad. Yeah, because
his dad loves Brian Welch.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah, and his grape juice. He left didn't So there's
he's back. I believe they all have nicknames, right, Is
that the one that left and he is back? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I believe so. I believe he.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Because there's there's Fieldy, Monkey and Head the guy that
left for the Lord. I think so yeaheah for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
And Jonathan Davis still does the Jonathan Davis stuff. Corns
that I've seen them live a handful of times. That's
a fantastic show.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I like them better live than I like them on record.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
One thousand, well said you much better live, man, and
I think they're fine on on you know whatever. C
the Year Stream Eaner the Man. That band's got some
freaking energy. I think Corn Limp, Biscuit and stuff back
in the day world class performers, Corn Whales the band. Sure, yeah, man.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Rotten terrible stuff. It'd been fun to be a wood
Stock YEP, because there's some great bands, man, Rage, Green Day.
That's about it.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, that's about it, like good bands, man.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yeah, you know who should have been his Rise? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Yeah, they screw What song would they open with?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Probably opened and closed with Waiting and Watching because you
can't just do it once, you know, I mean.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah the crowd once like Sweet Caroline from Neil Diamonds.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, he plays it twice.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
What if the three times at one concert?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
My god, what if they Wouldstock ninety nine documentary opened
up with everything was fine until Rise played Waiting and
Watching and the place was torn down. There socks and
fires and just torn down. And one guy in the
front row was going, yes them, Olsen, guys, quiet, this

(04:44):
is the best part.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
You know what happened as a lady took off her
top and he went.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yucky crazy throwing things. Brilliant Woodstock ninety nine. Yeah, it's
too bad. It's too bad. They should thought that through.
So that Woodstock ninety four was sweet?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Right?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
That was the Green Day mud Fight.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
That's right, that was the Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
You know how many times I watched that because I
taped it when MTV ran it, and I was a
giant Green Day fan when they first hit bitch, Yeah,
and I must I must have replayed that mud fight bit.
I don't know hundreds of times I was. I was
so into that. I thought it was so cool. Why
did I not go to Woodstock ninety nine because I

(05:27):
was nineteen years old? He was freaking biscuit. What was
I doing? Why didn't I go?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I'm gonna guess involved.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
You're on CA.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
There's more people in here, you know, so why would
that stop me from going? Did it? Literally was like,
you can do that anywhere. I don't have time to
go to New York. I'm too busy.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I don't like.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Your friends stopped pucked upside your house, beat the horn.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Can't make it. Guys can't make it. Sorry, guys, do
not see last cancelation? Sorry not today boys. Now, if
I'm busy for five straight days, I had a couple
of other ones.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Jeez, you have just found out about it.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I honestly don't know why I didn't go, because now
you couldn't pay me to go, right it would that
would be hell on Earth four or five days. But
at nineteen years old, I love festivals. Yeah, should have
made the track. I'd rather be thrown from an airplane? Yeah?
How can we?

Speaker 2 (06:36):
H yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Can we make that happen?

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Export that?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
I wait?

Speaker 6 (06:39):
Sure, yeah, you can export it? How much to get
you to skydive one hundred thousand? I don't know if
I would not even for a hundred thousand dollars, I
mean probably for that, what.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
About ninety thousand? My limit on hundred thousands and my
way from it.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I just got a text phone no, yeah, from somebody
named Louis Lambert. I can't afford that.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Man, he's tired of me already.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Well he's.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Yeah, get him some updated technology.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Do we have a fax machine here?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Sure? Sure? Sure?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, No, we do the printer acts as a fax machine.
I did it the other day.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
Can I ask a question? Probably, what would you ever
use that for an email? Some places that.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I have to sign contracts for still wanting to fact
and back a copy of the contract. I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
M like if I what's the difference between the facts
and an email.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
On digital?

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, but you could print an email.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I'm not the one asking.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Yeah, I'm not the one that's the song by an
It's not even close. So that's a zero out of ten.
So I didn't go to win Stock ninety nine. I
think Godsmack was there.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
You were busy God smacking here.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Your whole weekend was going blind.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Every time somebody said smack, You're like, I forgot my schedule.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Yeah, it's time to okay, so camera.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
And all the news.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Man, it's time to talking about the news. Hold on,
I'll get to the place. I gotta play this sponsored.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
News with Chris Hockey presented by the Saint Paul Saints.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
You know I love the Saint Paul Saints.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Oh yeah, don't forget big things happening, especially on Father's
Day weekend. Father's Day itself when the Dad from Field
of Dreams comes out and you can have a catch.
Check out Saints baseball dot com. That's Saints baseball dot com.
They'll be back at Schs Field soon playing baseball the
best stadium anywhere Saints baseball dot com.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
What if this guy was just an actor and literally
is the least athletic person we've ever seen and can't
throw or catch and people just basically throw baseballs at
all day, and then he walks back in the hands
and just he walks out of chs Stadium just bruised
and battered, didn't make a catch all day.

Speaker 6 (09:18):
It's a different movie in the guy's name is not Joey.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
You're combining nineties.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Yeah, I gotta come up with one hundred k quick
why I can throw you out of an airplane? Said,
it will be right, though, thank you for one person,
just you, my family would miss.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
And the ground, yeah, a lot of.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
The ground that day is going to look like the
old man from the Dreams after he plays catch for
twelve straight out.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
God that seven point three.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Everybody's foundation is good. Brumble Helton.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
We'll call the groundworks guy, He'll fix it. Who ground works?

Speaker 3 (10:07):
They solve your the guy, the dirty jobs guy, Brian
uh Micro That Guy or Wayne grow from heat or

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Corey, Yes, sir, the annual World Series of Poker go on.
Your's most prestigious. That's not a word. It's the best
and lucrative poker festivals underway.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Sure is we're like what two weeks in, about four
weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
With tens of thousands of players from around the globe
converging in Las Vegas to take Core's money.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yep, eleven thousand plus played in the Monster's Stack, and
our guy rich also won one point three million.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Well done.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
As of late, Minnesota hopefuls have recorded some impressive.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Score Yeah, we're killing it. Great year so far from Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Culminating with Richard Alsop taking first place in the fifteen
hundred dollars buy in monsters.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Who who's reporting on this?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
By the way, she got an email.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
I'm reading from an email, right, okay?

Speaker 2 (11:04):
An incredible one point three zero two million.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Dollars, biggest score of his career, up to almost four
million total. Not for Richie, good for him, man, good dude. Yeah, yeah,
I'm glad he's a good dude.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
I'm reading from media manager Eric Lush's email. About the
big win, so it's it's hitting the news partly. Also win.
Two other Minnesota's have had their shot at the WSOP victory.
Both fell one spot short at.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
The time, Jason Hoffman and Randy Jackson.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, ma'am. Randy Jackson out of Delam.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
I was there. I was literally on the rail watching
Randy because I ran into him when he was about
to play heads up. If you had nothing to do,
so I'm like, hell, yeah, man, I'll come watch you.
So I went over and sweated him, watched him play
heads up. Oh him, Yeah, gross from American Idol play poker.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Just liked k quick borrow from Randy Jackson.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah, Rich, can just give me a one hundred cad
of his one point three million.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
If you were in a lovely Delano there's a nice
bunch of restaurants there, and you were in Delaho and
you walked up and you were like you ordering dinner
with your family, and you saw Randy jack sitting at
the bar, would you walk over and just hand him
your wallet just because they're so used to giving him
your money.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
No, I like to do that over a handful of hours,
over a nice weekend in Minnesota or in this case
Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I'm gonna afford you the SEMO because there's a long
interview with mister Assip in this article. I'm sure you
want to read it. Maybe he'll tell you how I'm
not to lose.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, maybe he'll give you some Well, look at all.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
His friends around him. Oh, he's a younger man than
I thought he was. He's a young man.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yeah, rich has got to be. He's got to be
close to forty. Yeah, late thirties, early forties, somewhere in
that range. My friends, I'm not exactly sure how he is.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
You weren't you a part of it?

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Because I already busted I cash that time, busted in
that tournament. So he technically got my money, you know what.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
That's why he didn't go to Woodstock.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
He already busted you already busted. You were like, I'm
too tired. Boys got away.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
I think we had something like twenty ish minnesotan's cash
that one.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Let me look see if it say anything about.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
That in the email you ever take.

Speaker 6 (13:08):
That's sweet, dude, Say good for you, man, I'm glad
you have a hobby that you'd like the best.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Man. Yeah, I'm happy for you. I'm super jealous that
a lot of my friends are there for six straight
weeks and I'm there for essentially two tournaments.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
You know, if you had been skilled enough to get fourth,
you still would have won five hundred twenty thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Yes, that is correct hockey. You ever cash and busted
in Vegas?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Oh and within a ten minute span in one room.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
We got four weeks ago. If it's not over from Minnesota,
we're going to make more deep runs.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
You ever play sal de Carlo?

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Don't know that name? John rip Nick, don't know that name?

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Aaron Massy?

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Oh yeah, never missed MASSI absolutely played against him a
couple of times in a great interview. See the guy
that doesn't know who Rosie is. No, that's the imatagus
who also cashed the monster stack. There you go, he
and the Beast.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Yeah, superior national forces like lifting the campfire restrictions. The
band is said in Friday, June twelfth, with Jesus Today
it had pretributed prohibited campfires and charcoal fueled cook stoves.
This comes after the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness saw
three fires in the past week. Officials are still urging

(14:23):
visitors to please be careful and watch weather conditions. So
if you're going up there, please y'all be careful.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
We don't need more fires, well said.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah. And lastly, in the news, the US Supreme Court
stepped in on Thursday with a ruling that prevented the
state of Alabama from carrying out a controversial execution. Governor
k Ivy's office had said the plans were still moving
forward to put convicted killer Jeffrey Lead to death on
Thursday night. This despite a federal court ruling banning the
use of nitrogen hypoxia as the preferred method of execution.

(14:56):
Alabama's Attorney general appealed the ruling to the Supreme Court,
but the justices decided not to lift the injunction. The
state does not have other methods available of carrying out executions.
Apparently they got no bullets, hmmm, which is weird for Alabama. Yeah,
I don't know. Is nitrogen hypoxia a different method than
they normally used? Isn't that the.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Needle lethal injections?

Speaker 5 (15:19):
I don't know, I think so where it's a gas
chamber one of the other god, oh.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Yeah, makes their last words sound funny? Yeah, So what
would that sound? Like me, let me clear my throat though,
yea meat.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
You're asking me what their last words would sound funny
on hoxy peroxide. Yes, would sound like this.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
I can't believe you're killing. Have you ever done helium?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
You don't get it?

Speaker 3 (15:49):
He oh, healing, that's the bit. That's what that was.
Zach's joke is that it would change your voice like helium.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I thought it was like a dentist thing like you.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
It like this thing and you're I'm gonna be honest
with you, guys. I'm a little behind today. I haven't
turned the chapter yet. I'm still back on chapter three.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Which chapter three? About chapter three?

Speaker 6 (16:16):
What's that about hawk busting and cashing in his hotel room?

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Which chapter are we on? Probably ten, a different book.
I'm sorry to let you guys do We asked you
what it would sound like, and instead of doing healing,
you basically did a bane impression. I'm sorry. I thought
I was at the dentist.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
I'm thinking about it. I'm hoping he raises the money
to get you in that plane. We gotta go fund
be paced going on now, I'll pay for the movie.

Speaker 3 (16:52):

Speaker 2 (17:31):
I can tell Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
How about du loop next week? Come on to Loot
next Friday. It's gonna is the show outdoors again. I
don't think so. I think you're right. I think it's
at the hotel that we're staying. That's right, I believe
because that is a different location.

Speaker 7 (17:48):
We were at an airplane hangar than the following year
we were outside of the radio.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Yepe beautiful. Yeah, but now we might be we're indoors.
I believe we're indoors, okay, like bank room style. I
think so. The listeners know here we go.

Speaker 7 (18:06):
I ask because Duluth in the mornings, if we are outside, requires.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
A jacket, which is fine. I just need to make
sure I'm pact.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
Well.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
I believe Scar said it best when he said be prepared.
You know, and who doesn't love Scar? You know what,
no jacket need in Mars?

Speaker 6 (18:25):
No jacket in the Holidays Center?

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Well played, well played atrium?

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Okay, yeah, no, it's literally it's the hotel were staying.
It's in the bottom floor of that perfect you know
where the rest?

Speaker 7 (18:40):
Yeah, right outside there where you and I met before
we walked.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yeah, we walked it down the street third into.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
How that go?

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Not great?

Speaker 3 (18:51):
But I maybe I'll go get it back yea, yeah,
no big deal.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yeah, it's going to be there. Your who's going to
be working at the end of next week? Steve and
Chad Abbott? Yeah, I think Common is going to be there.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Where are they going to the show? Second hand? Drop
foot at running the marathon devisions, don't they?

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Well, I guess that's true. Everybody deserves a chance. Okay,
he's yeah, it's one of those snail races. They put
all the drop futs in a circle and see you
can get it. Starts to what's Common doing up there?
I think Deuce is running? Is that right? Good for Deuce?

(19:47):
Got that right, that's my teammate Common today at one
point thirty program password me in Common versus fallness in,
Zach Halverson, Zach Elvererson.

Speaker 6 (19:58):
You're going down, Corey Man again, quick voices, I assume.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Do you play when when when we drive to Duluth?
So next Thursday? Yeah, and so you and Barb take
on what crysl and sauce Yes, correct, and again shout
out to our guy. John criesl. Yeah, shut up. Maybe
you're listening right now, Johnny ka feeling.

Speaker 7 (20:23):
Yeah, it's probably the toughest surgery you're ever going to
go through.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
God speed. What number did he say? It was thirty eight,
thirty eighth. Yeah, surgery that he's had.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
My lord, man, that dude for that.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Yeah, he can't sleep unless they drug him. Now.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, poor guy. He's like, give me the mask. I'll
just do it.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
He sees a scalpel, he just falls down.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Oh buddy, Yeah, he puts on one of those masks
and he's like murder helium. John, it's uh, he am
and same same.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, we should do this. Now it's time for a
fan five on the Power Trip. You got that right.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
The Twins got smoked by Detroit eleven nothing.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
The Tigers hit six home runs.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
The Twins had five hits. They are terrible.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
They're thirty one and thirty eight in their last one
hundred and sixty two games. They're sixty five and ninety seven,
the worst record in the American League. Yes, that's irrelevant.
That's Amaron Gleman. Blame him Aaron Gleman dot com. They're
coming around and they host the Cardinals tonight. It's seven
to ten. Joe Ryan in one of his last few

(21:42):
starts here for the Twins. Stop it goes for the Twins.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Well, Joe Ryan is worth the price of admission. I
m o oh, maybe that was his new last name,
Joe Ryan Emo. I mean, that'll be a fun series.

Speaker 7 (22:00):
Don't see the Cardinals at Target Field all that often.
I was talking to when we have producers and they
are brothers.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Their names are tom Me and Mike Me. Awesome guys,
good golfers, Tommy fans of the show.

Speaker 7 (22:18):
Yeah, and tom Me's dad's name is Jim tom Me.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Oh, I thought it was maybe Jim Me and Oh
that would have been good. Paulie, I don't you don't
get this bit? Are you sure that's your well? Screen, Paul,
what else? What else could a funny first name be? Marky?
Marky mean, he's not wrong. He doesn't get this bit.

(22:47):
Now you can do it here here. I'll give you
seven point four seven seconds to come up with a
good one. Go roll it again, Roll it again, Glenn me.

(23:12):
He doesn't get it anyway. I do have a point
at the story.

Speaker 7 (23:21):
These guys, wonderful guys who produce our pre games and
postgame shows and Twins games as well. Their dad works
for the Saint Louis Cardinals in their media relations department.
Like they're traveling dustin Morse. Mitch hested that role. Mitch did,

(23:42):
yeah and has.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Gosh, I hope I get the number right.

Speaker 7 (23:47):
Sixty years ish of experience of in that role and
is still doing it?

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Which job he will be at Target Shield?

Speaker 7 (23:59):
It will be like a me union just hanging up
and go to Vegas. Yeah, he is also in.

Speaker 8 (24:06):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (24:07):
Their grandpa is in the Twins Hall of Fame. Boy,
I got all these facts run or Twins like media
room hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
What a strange hall of fame? Yeah? Is Rosie in
that one? The Twins Media Room Hall of Fame? It's
not official it's like there's a shadow box.

Speaker 7 (24:27):
Sure recognized, recognized.

Speaker 9 (24:31):
That's how we got the cloudy when you guys texted
me and give me the deats correctly anyway, fun fact
Twins and Saint Louis Cardinals and just side note because
I was like, oh, if I was.

Speaker 7 (24:44):
Working those games, I would be very interested in what
the mees we're doing because they'd be working with their.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Dad, like Glenn, Yeah, like the kiss.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Or their uncle.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
His name is Dickle.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
How do you do that with their uncle? Dusty Me?
And you're a wire?

Speaker 2 (25:14):
You really are something else?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Dallas Me. You don't get it? No check yeah me?

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (25:21):
How you just looking at the World Cup. I'm just
reading what's treading on Twitter? Let's see here.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
The Hurricanes took a three to two series lead after
a four to two winning Game five of the Stanley
Cup Final last night park or A, Parker Parish and Zacho.
Game six is Sunday at seven o'clock. And you can
hear that on this lovely station.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
And this is brought to you by our friends at
Saint Claude State.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Go Huskies.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Yeah, it was It was impressive that a team finally
hung on to the lead. Actually I kept waiting for
Vegas to come back, like like it has been every
single game this series. But Carolina, this speed is definitely showing.
And Brandon bust came in the goaltender. Yeah, that's that's
his name, Brandon Bussy. He came in relief for Freddie Anderson,

(26:07):
who up until Game three of this series was probably
the front runner for the Con Smyth Trophy. He led
in those four goals against Vegas. Brennan Bussy, an undrafted goaltender,
made his way up, worked his way up through the
minor leagues, and he has played absolutely outstanding for Carolina.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Has been their backbone. And man, now it's finally.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
Carolina that has Vegas with their back against the wall,
and we'll see how they respond. I would be pretty
surprised if this does not go seven games. It's just
been one of those series that a team gets a
leg up and sorry increase and then and the other
team with the back against wall just seems to come
right back at him. So it's a It's exactly the

(26:48):
kind of series that the NHL and all of us
that love the game absolutely love to see.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Yeah, yeah, Perry said at all. I mean that then
really cool. See Bussy's family who you know, they weren't
even planning on seeing him at all the rest of
the year. Now they're crying in the stands and celebrating
watching him win back to back games in the Stanley
Cup Final.

Speaker 5 (27:08):
I love sports Man, Long Island boy. I absolutely love seeing.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
It, well said E really okay, just trying to hold
in the jokes that you get me fired.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
Well, please do because I don't want you fired. Thanks baby, Yeah, man,
I need you to pay for popcorn today.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
I know that. What else would I get at the theater?
Probably anything else? In terms of sports Man, how is
I we should.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Break because we're going to do some vikings news I
got out of you?

Speaker 3 (27:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Oh yeah, man, yeah, I got audio.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
Man.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
It's almost football season.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Hell yeah, it's right around the corner, all right. Initials
about thirty minutes away, with one hundred and eighteen thousand
dollars up for grabs, potentially with the Saint Paul Federal
Credit Union Initials jackpot. One of you gets to guess
the letters. If you get it right, Due Paul Federal
Credit Union gives you one hundred and eighteen k I'm ready.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
It's time.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
It's time.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Really we'll see it is time. This is the Power
Trip Morning Show with Marnie Giller and Mark Parrish on
the van from the one eight hundred. Ask Gary Traffic Center.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Minardo and kf Ann for a Team USA watch party
tonight at B fifty Two's in Invergrove Heights. Got USA
versus paraway kicking off at eight o'clock with games, prizes,
drink specials, all while rooting the.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Red, White and Blue.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
We'll see you at B fifty two Burgers and Brews
tonight in Invergrove Heights.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Great dyke cope there.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
I'm rooting for Antarctica to win the whole tame.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Yes, what Corey? How many teams in this year's World Cup?
There's forty eight. How many teams in this year's World
Cup are based out of the continent of Antarctica? Zero?
You did something right?

Speaker 2 (28:53):
You did.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
On the Power Trip presented by Joe Excess Service.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
That's right, I have audio. Mini Camp is over and
here's how it wins.

Speaker 8 (29:05):
Wrapping up the offseason program today, I just told the
team for a voluntary camp. I know mini camp is mandatory,
but when you have the same group here for the
better part of all of your OTAs in phase one,
in phase two, with all the things these guys have
going on, it is really really cool to have the
participation level, the buy in, the hunger to continue to

(29:29):
raise the foundation of where we what's been built by
our players here, but ultimately where we want to go
as a as a team.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Cool talk to me about the quarterback of battle.

Speaker 8 (29:39):
Excited about both where the where both those guys are at,
looking forward to them, you know, using the time from
now until we report back to continue to kind of
build on what they've really accomplished, which is a lot.
Both those guys you know, have done some really really
good things and I think they're elevating our.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Football team because of it.

Speaker 8 (29:58):
So excited to get back when we get a chance
to get going.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
In training camp, coach Kyler was worried about not getting
all the reps you.

Speaker 8 (30:05):
Know, this phase, this time of year, you know, based
by the rules and also how we handle it. It
is a foundation to build off of and every rep
obviously matters, but this time of year, the beauty of
not going full speed on a lot of reps as
you can get a lot out of watching other guys
reps as well, So I think that's taking place. I
think there's been great learning that's taking place. But those

(30:26):
guys both know we you know, we have a plan
in place to make sure that the decision we make
that is going to be about what's best for the
Minnesota Vikings, and the timeline of that does involve making
sure we get our starter ready to go.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Okay, well, when do you even name that quarterback?

Speaker 8 (30:42):
You know, we want to make sure by the time
we play the Green Bay Packers that there's been ample
time to you know, have you know, the best possible
offense we can have to help our football team, and
the quarterback is going to play a big role in that.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
So that was you.

Speaker 8 (30:55):
Know, that's kind of where where we're at right now
as far as like the timeline goes. Uh, you know,
I think to give an actual date would be not
necessarily accurate from a portrayal of how we see it.
But there is a timeline to make sure that we
can allow the competition to continue and advance and and
really lay out a training camp that will allow us
to do that.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
I know that, honey, respectful, Hey Zach, where you go
get our guests? Can you do that? Or sh I
said mark where you go get her? Sure, that'd be great.
You got a key card?

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Right? Good? Thank you.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Do you guys have any comments on what he said?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
I bet he just hates answering that question.

Speaker 7 (31:35):
Yeah, and he's gonna yeah, you got to ask, absolutely,
And it's the one everyone is waiting on the answer for.
Why do you think they're not naming a starter?

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Is that? Is that an unusual thing for a team
to do that does not have.

Speaker 7 (31:50):
A an incumbent starting quarterback from the previous year.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
So I think the answer to this is obvious because
they don't have to.

Speaker 7 (31:59):
You know, and it actually is better for the team
to not because you want the competition.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah, I mean, if Kyler is much much better, good,
if JJ's better good, you just want the best quarterback, right,
So they don't have to name anything right now.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Again, even if they already know the answer, right, they
might know that it's Kyler. But again, it's like it's
like when there's an injury, but you don't have to
report it until the injury report comes down on Wednesday, right,
you just keeps does it.

Speaker 7 (32:29):
Affect either quarterback? And I guess in particular Kyler does
he get pissy? Does he want more snaps? Does he
if this in any way affects him negatively? I guess
that would be the only reason I would want them to.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
To your point, Chris, why do they have to They
don't have to do well if.

Speaker 7 (32:47):
They start to see deterioration in their starter because he's
ticked off in any way.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Shape or form, which he shouldn't be.

Speaker 7 (32:52):
But if he is, then do we have to change
this course of action? Does he need to have more snaps?
It's only June.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Right, Well, that is I think kind of Kao's point.
But I also have a supposition. I have a guess
on this. Would you guys be interested in my guest, Yes, Daddy,
I do believe that from what the research has shown,
and from these stories we've read about Kyler in the
past playing video games and stuff like that, maybe they
want to keep him motivated. Maybe they don't want to
hand him anything. If you hand him something, perhaps he
goes in the room plays Xbox. I could be way off.

(33:23):
I've never met him, you know what I mean, But
I wonder if that is part of the thing. If
you tell him he's the starter, maybe he doesn't quite
work as hard.

Speaker 6 (33:29):
Yeah, there is that, but I think the other thing
too is with that is he's in both of these quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Can I interrupt you for a second. Go ahead, Martie.
Do you do you care at all what he's about
to say? You might you understand? Okay, Cool, I just
want to make.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
Sure you're the only one.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
I think, Mark, I want to make sure, Okay, are
tired of me?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
Well, it's not, Glen. It's like ground breaking. Okay, Cool,
here's the thing you were going to say. The thing
about I.

Speaker 6 (34:01):
Think the thing is is that both of these quarterbacks
are in a weird situation because I think the one
who doesn't get the job, or let's say, whoever doesn't
get the job, the other quarterback stays healthy and plays
all season, one of the other guys going to be
probably a career backup.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
If Kyler Murray loses this position.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
Battle to JJ McCarthy and doesn't play all season, he's
not going to get the huge payday that he wants.
If JJ McCarthy sits behind Kyler and doesn't play and
maybe is the third string quarterback to Carson Wentz, they
aren't going to pick up his fifth year option and
he might not be on the team next year.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Right so it's a big thing for both of these guys.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
One more chance of what to answer a question?

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Okay, go ahead, what's the question? Oh?

Speaker 6 (34:51):
Sorry, you don't know this question? What I think to
hawks point, why would you name it now?

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Right?

Speaker 3 (35:00):
All of that makes perfect sense? And you give them
your control if you name it now? And yeah, and so.

Speaker 7 (35:09):
I asked a question that maybe a lot of Vikings fans.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Yeah, ask you.

Speaker 7 (35:14):
Guys answered it, both of you and gave me something
to think about.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Put me in my place.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
See what we did.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
Finally, this is why the NFL is king though, is like,
let's say we were a true knock down the door
super Bowl contender, Like we were right there, we just
or maybe one piece away, and we're like, man, we
got it. If we make this decision correctly, this could
be our year. We're probably arguing about which quarterback gets
us to decent, you know what I'm saying, Like the

(35:45):
Vikings might be okay, if this goes right, we might
be all right. We might fight for a playoff spot,
but we can talk about it for six months. Who's
going to get us to the middle, you know what
I mean? Yeah, But I also nuts That's why the
NFL works, so it's it's it's yeah, this is n
not like, man, should we should we put Ty Simpson

(36:05):
out there? Or is Stafford still good enough to get
us to the promised now? Mel said no, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (36:10):
I also think though, that getting us back to the
middle again is going to get Some people are gonna
lose jobs, world, I.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Mean, the middle is not gonna lose job. You're saying
if we don't get to the middle, do you think
that the middle gets You.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Think that if this team doesn't make the playoffs and
we just go another season where he doesn't have a
playoff win, is going to be all fine and dandy.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
I'm not saying it's fine and dandy, but if we
go nine and eight, you think they're firing him?

Speaker 2 (36:35):
I don't, No, I'm with you, did you guys?

Speaker 3 (36:40):
I forget you? I mean, I don't know how much?
How much? How do you keep your job?

Speaker 6 (36:47):
If the whole goal of being an NFL or a
football coach is winning playoff games, he hasn't won one.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Like that's a quarterback who wins without calling for his head.
But this is what you're five.

Speaker 6 (36:59):
They had a quarterback in Sam Donald, and was Sam
Donald's fault that they probably lost that game in the
offensive line's fault, right, But they got murdered in the
biggest game of the Vikings against.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
The Lions, they got destroyed.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
You're calling for it sounds like you're just stadding a
different opinion.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
You're just gonna stay status quo with another eight to
nine team or a nine and eighteen, whatever it is.
Who's calling. I don't want to answer the phone. No.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
After Corey called me out for calling for people's jobs,
I'm not doing that any fun.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Hi, what's up? I would like Chao's head.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Oh thanks, harsh.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Good voice. Text? You take a number. What let's say
they go fourteen and three, Yeah, they get bouncing round one?
Stay or go? I mean that's a good question. It's
not no. I think he's pretty sid would stay, He's stay. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Plus, we're gonna win the Super Bowl this year.

Speaker 7 (38:07):
Fourteen and three bounced in round one, though, would be
an incredibly disappointed.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
That's what happened three years ago of the season. Incredibly disappointing.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Yeah, do you guys see to your left over there, Sauce,
our special guest is in studio.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
Your other left He literally turned to his right.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
We're gonna meet Mattie Trumpell when we come back.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
It's a week actress, and then we're going to play initials.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
She's an actress and she thinks she can beat us.
She thinks she's got this otty trumble.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
She's an actress.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Yes, because he's finally right.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Okay, this is the power of Trip Morning Show on
