I'm Lisa Taylor.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Thanks Lisa.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
So there you go. It happened. Good for them. I
hope they find a lot of people thought that relationship
was fake. Good for them. I hope they find uh,
marital bliss. The one thing though, that I don't understand.
They interviewed it, but you know, while I'm highstrung, they
interviewed a couple of there was I'm nice to you,

(04:04):
mag there was a only mom who drove like thirteen
hours to stand outside of the building.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, she needs to be checked.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
That's insane.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Like I get'm gonna say it.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Say no, Brandy, No, I think I think I can
say that. No, no, don't say it. But it's like
if it were like a if it were like a
public wedding and they had it like in what's uh

(04:39):
if they had it like Central Park and it was
all blocked off, but you could like stand around. Fine,
you drove thirteen hours to stand outside of the building. Yeah,
that's insanity. No, you can't You can't say no, no,
we need him. I need it to at least Thursday.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
You remember when we watched the the Michael Jackson documentary
and the lady who quit her job to stand outside
the courtroom.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
To possibly to maybe go in a juror yeah, yeah,
to watch the spots.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
She's a cool job.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Her job and now even to this stage, that's like
her claim to face exactly.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
And they interviewed her on that documentary about it.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Do you not realize? I mean, yes, these people are famous.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
But everyone's just people at the end of the day,
she quitted.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I forgot about that.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Well, this lady that Joe for sure was hoping that
somebody would hear the story right and invite but they
did not.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Weird, Wait, so he said, it's a mom. Where did
she ever kids with?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I think so, yeah, I know that, honey. What did
you think of her? Rose?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Do you have the buttons? Because I don't know what
you're trying to give me to play.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Rolling the big knockers, Carol let her in.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Come on, Willie, she brought her friend. Willie. Have you
consumed marijuana? Yep, No she didn't, because if you did,
then you wouldn't have drove there.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I think I was on the road with every person
high on marijuana on Saturday night, on the way home
from my gears, probably just fifteen miles an hour. Yeah,
sitting at a stoplight for five minutes too long. I
just wanted everyone off the roads.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Yeah that, Oi'll do that. You'll do that.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
You what? You what. Here's another real news story out
of Chicago. A uh firework hit a Delta plane.

Speaker 9 (06:50):
The flight was coming in for a landing at Chicago's
Midway Airport on the fourth of July when the pilot
reported their plane had been hit by a firework. The
airbus eighth three nineteen was about two hundred feet off
the ground preparing to land when it was struck. The
firework did not cause any injuries or damage to the
plane that had flown to Chicago from Atlanta. The jet

(07:11):
was taken out of service for a complete inspection.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
I'm Rory o'nate.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Thanks. I'm surprised I didn't have more often, you know. Unfortunately,
right here's the audio from the cockpit. Let me get
you have that's not it, dang it. I must recorded
over my fault. But it's always interesting. Definitely, I know.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
This guy thinks he's driving a track.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Jil two to fifty a jail.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
But we just started the bang on the plane, so
we'll just.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Take a look at I want to get to the gate,
and we're just hoping it was just the mortar that
went off underneath, but definitely felt a big bang.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
There's been multiple reports, as you can imagine. The cities
are where they said they would notify the Chicago police,
but you know, I don't know what still do.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, how about that, but I can't believe them more often. Yeah,
and there's works flying in every direction.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah, man, they're greasy.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, they well said yea. And of course the other
big giant news story from this weekend is he's done
it again.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
This is the eighteen time champion of the world with
sixty six Nathan's famous hot dogs and buns in ten minutes.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Joe, he did it sixty six. Yeah, that's not his
best though.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
He doesn't something. I think second place, got fifty to
fifty one.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
You have to win, that's all he does. Yeah, he
don't even go for anymore.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah. I didn't watch it because it's kind of gross.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Kinda it is really gross.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yes, man, I've met him he's a nice guy. People
love they love him.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
He as that Zacho and I went to He's at the.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Saints games like twice a year.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Yeah, he's awesome man. Yeah, he's to go. Yeah, one
of the great American athletes. Yeah, I mean he didn't.
He doesn't even have to eat that much, you know,
I mean sixty six is a ton, but you know
what I mean, because like so much better than everybody
will catch it.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, I'll tell you what. I made myself on dog
last night and ate it in my house and it
was delicious, but I ate it slow and I enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
And I didn't get that some bitch and water either.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Cross that's the other.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
How about the guy that because I think there's a
bunch of events before it. How about the guy that
drank a gallon of lemonade in like twenty seconds, just
big jar of it, just wipe down right to the dome,
to the dome. Oh yeah, yeah, I think it was
like twenty seconds, right, Maxill Yeah, a gallon of lemonade.
I think that guy is like the Joey Chessman of Chuck.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah, wait, whoa what is going on?

Speaker 6 (09:47):
Back?

Speaker 3 (09:47):
There had no coffee yeah, yeah, lemonade. Lady, were you listening,

audio got enough.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
What was she mad?

Speaker 2 (10:06):
She was because she got a coffee for her son
and his wife and she was gonna watch the babies
and she got all the way to their apartment and
then spilled it right outside the door. All the coffee
went on the floor, and she's so angry. And I'll
play it. I don't, I hope, I.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Can't put it.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
This is from twenty twenty three. I loved it.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Had a couple of mother coffee.

Speaker 10 (10:30):
Coffee just every girl where you look, it's probably.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
In your purse, sugar.

Speaker 10 (10:38):
Thing that I brought in here is wet a bitch
whoa a good life.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Oh, but that you can't have coffee.

Speaker 10 (10:55):
Be breeze and you can be a good moment, but
you can't have coffee.

Speaker 4 (11:04):

Speaker 2 (11:07):
A bitch it.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
We've all been there.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
That's like when you're when you're having a bad day,
in your pocket gets caught on the door and why yes,
I got.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
A degree, I pray, and I can't have coffee, don't.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
It's probably I just always love wetter.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Than a bit mean, Like I love how edited it is.

Speaker 10 (11:40):
You can have some life, bitch, but you can't have
no call.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Listen. That's how you sound. That's why you are struck.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Yes, I am and mean and mean, I can be struck.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
I don't know why she said this, but at some
point she says this. I'm afraid to play the rest
of her because I'm not sure that I beat it all.
I think I did, but it was twenty twenty three
hours loose back then.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
You're loose down. Yeah, it's a different guys, all right.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
That's the news, whether you like it or not. That's
what's going on. Terrible things happen as well. People drowned
and I hate that and and uh, just terrible things
are happening in the world. But uh, you can listen
to other people to hear about this stuff. I don't
want to tell you about it.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah, stay stay cool.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Uh, make sure you keep your doggies cool. There's just

sauces wash. You do smell very very clean today. Did
you guys notice how much of a he smells like

spitting Hot Twins tape. I'm off my game. I'd I

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Rog, Yeah, you thought you were still dreaming form We ripped,
but uh anyway, Patrick Morning Show featuring JD Julia Daniels.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
We'll be back the sports on Hey, it's meat sauce
here for my amazing friends at Connectico. Let's be honest,
bad one.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Welcome back Patrick Morning Show. This weekend the NASCAR Cup
Series and O'Riley Atom Parts Series. We're in Chicago, Chicago
Lian speed Way on Saturday, and our guy, William Sawalach
was running good but got bumped in the front bumper
by his own teammate, Brent Cruise, a rookie sent him

(14:11):
spinning into the infield. He was running good before that,
but that was on lap one sixty five. Couldn't recover
finish twenty ninth, and that sucks because he faces an
uphill battle with only four races left before the chase
field is set. So he's forty four points outside of
the chase right now. Williams Sawallach, who will be joining
us in studio on Thursday. I'll probably still be pissed,

(14:32):
so you might want to tune in. But he was very,
very angry at his rookie teammate Brent Cruz for sending
him spinning into the infield.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Yeah. That sucks.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yeah, but thank you to Starkey and our friends over
at Starky for giving us our NASCAR update and bringing
us Williams Sawallach here in the studio with us on Thursday.
You're a NASCAR fan at all, Julia Daniels.

Speaker 6 (14:54):
No, I feel like it'd be too cliche if I was.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
A nast car fan, you know, from Arkansas. From Arkansas,
it was never a.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Thing my family watched.

Speaker 6 (15:05):
But I remember going over to like, uh, some of
my girlfriend's houses that are from like real redneck families,
and their dad would be sitting there and Hockey made
me watching.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
A NASCAR in the middle of the morning or something,
and I was like, what's going on? Yeah, what's happening here?

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Well, we prefer the term hillbilly.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
Yeah, you guys, it's a different thing up here. It is.
You guys say hick and hillbilly. We say redneck.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
We were we were hillbilly.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Yeah. They fought people, well listen, yeah, because they thought
quote they were stealing their women.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
Well, we were born, and because what else are you
gonna do?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
You know?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Thank you understanding?

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Listen. The best drama comes out of a tiny town.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Yeah maybe, yeah, Yeah. Once got beat up by a
dad once. Well they knocked him out, yep. I mean
because they went to this guy for his girlfriends.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Shouldn't have gone there in the middle of the night.
I was looking for a fight and I found it.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yeah, and you cried even harder driving around town. Yeah, ma'am, No, ma'am.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
I was like a lady sometimes.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yeah, I cry like a lady.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Well charmed.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
He did cry it sex in the city too.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
I did because there wasn't enough sex in the city. Yeah,
this is very sad about that. I was looking for
a dead to fight.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Yeah, the movies don't have any of that.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
None, that's the biggest disappointment.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Thirteen.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
Yeah, you just see a show with sex and the
title and you're like.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Hell, yeah shows the show has it when.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
You're a teenager. That's not the kind of right, That's
not what I was looking for.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, you're a non agitator.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Your what they say your Yeah, I can't help it.
You can't. Yeah, I can't. I'm working on it though,
an under control Yeah. Yeahser no you don't. No, I'm
trying my best, are you I am? Yeah, it's time
for a fan five on the power Trip.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
I don't think you our friends is Stark we're gonna
start NASCAR up date.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
And is here brought to our casino friends yet?

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I believe it, you know what. I don't know if
it is yet or not.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
I think it is.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
It should be. If it's not, say it anyway.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
It's brought to you by our amazing friends at.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Circus Casino Vegas. That I'm gonna be jumping over the fountain.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
I think I think you and I are going It's just.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
A water fountain.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
You and I are going to go, and we're gonna go.
But that's so interesting.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
It's gonna be dangerous for me. I already blew an
a one time again.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Yeah, because he was trying to out rebound Mike Morris. Yeah. Probably.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
And plus I'm literally a foot taller than literally almost
exactly a foot taller than I am. And you know, I'll.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Probably lifetime not some like no full basketball game.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Okay, listen, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
I can defend myself.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Did you So? How did this go down?

Speaker 2 (17:57):
We were he saw Star and I should say we're
on the morning show together with Saucy and Corey, and
we were playing basketball doing stupid things, and he rebounded
the ball and I was taking it way too seriously.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
So I tried to jump to I'll rebound him, and
when I landed, I heard my nego oh no, yep,
And so I went in for my second of four
ACL surgeries. Did you walk out of there, Yeah, crying
like a lady. Though I was very dateous a lot
and I but I was charmed. He's always dainty, yep,

(18:35):
And so I had but I just ended up having
the whole new replace. So I'm better now. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
thank you.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
The Minnesota Twins took two or three from the Yankees
after they beat him yesterday six to one. That's the
first series win in New York since twenty fourteen. Joe
Ryan was fantastic. He went seven scattered, three hits, one walk,
nine strikeouts. The Yankees are one and nine in their
last ten. Joe Ryan is the first Twins picture to
throw a seven plus eying shutout a Yankee stadium since

(19:04):
Johann Santana in two thousand and five.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Here's our boys, shelty to come in here, and i mean,
you know, take nothing away from it, They're gonna get healthy.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
This is a really good team.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
I mean, they got two monsters sitting over there that
are coming back at some point, you know, free through
a live VP today. But to be able to come
in here with a young group and be able to
get two or three, really proud of our group.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
He deserves a lot of credit. And I'm not just
saying that because he's on the show. He deserves a
ton of credit because he's literally given a scrap heap
of a bullpen and they're three games under five hundred
and they're right there for the wild card as well.
He deserves a ton of credit.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
He's also just such a fun really cool.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
He is just so much fun. I mean, the moment
he walked in here, you knew this guy's one of us.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yeah, he's just a great tam. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (19:50):
I always try to gauge when I'm meeting somebody like that,
because they always give us a.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Sit down with them.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
I always want to gauge the sense of humor that
they have, or just get an idea. And when I
sat down with him, this is January, and I was like, Hi,
you know, I'm Julia with Caro Levin whatever. And then
I go, so, you know, they're getting the cameras ready
and the MIC's ready, and I go, nothing, crazy, where's
she gonna, you know, talk to you about you and

(20:15):
your career so far, how sad you're gonna be to
be here, and maybe we'll sprinkle in something asking you
about the political.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Climate of the world right now, No faking.

Speaker 6 (20:25):
He's like, perfect, That's exactly what I've been waiting for
the whole time.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
And I was like, Okay, this guy's cool.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Him and Bill Garrin are great. Yes, Yeah, they both
just kind of get it too. Yeah, you don't like
I love all of them.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah, I don't know what happened there.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, Kaos is great. Who's the head coach of the
Wild Hawk?

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Billy Bob Thornton?

Speaker 4 (20:48):
Good for Hill, Nice your twins?

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Forty seven. They battled the Guardians tomorrow at six forty.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
It was a big shake up, done it, huge reform, big,
big shake up.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
The MLB draft is on Saturday. Hawk who's going to
be the number one overall?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
You know this is very controversial? But and are you
just asking for my opinion? Yeah, because it's very very controversial.
I'm pretty sure Bert Ward.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Happy birthday, Robin, Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah, he was Robin in the Have you seen eighty
one years old? He's a great player.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Have you seen the bits on Instagram about how the
original Batman series had to have had like a twenty
dollars budget? Oh yeah, sorry, man.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Walking up like the side of walls using ropes. It's
obvious that they're walking bent over.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
I just saw one the other day.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
They're like, man, how did you unscramble that lock in
three under three seconds? He's like, well, I have my
bat scrambler ran under three seconds. It's like they, yeah,
you aren't seen the bit that you know in the
dark night when they Rob that bank in the beginning. Yeah,
and the Joker is wearing that mask.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
That's an homage to the first time you see Caesar
Romero's no joker. Really, he's wearing that mask at like
a play and Batman and Robin are up above because
they know it's him. I did not know that till yesterday.
It's an homage to the original joke.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
You know what did thank you for not being so salty?

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yeah, well, don't piss me off?

Speaker 5 (22:29):
And those dudes were slaying, Yeah, didn't they say? They
showed up to an orgy as Batman and Robin.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
That's all they did. Men who hawked? What was the show.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Where the guy died touched by an angel?

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yep? Touch know that one guy from like Hogan's Heroes
died in like a sex orgy accident. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yeah. They still don't know for sure if he was
murdered or if it was an accident. But yeah, that's
an interesting They made a movie about that, starring the
guy from that one show, Rob Greg greg Ear's and
oh yeah yeah, yeah, it's called Careful Nashville.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
You love that show.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah, it's called Deliverance.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
No, it's not. The US will Battle Belgium tonight in
the round of sixteen in the World Cup at seven pm.
Uh Balligan will be available to play in the US's
round against Belgium tonight because FIFA disciplayer Jesus.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
They didn't discipline.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
They basically, uh got rid of the red car.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
We do this for a living.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
I know he will be able to play tonight, and
he's their best player.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
People.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Ye, it'll be there. Yeah, its office.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Were they in Detroit in a warehouse?

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Say, I hope play tonight.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
Hell yeah, it'll be a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure.
I'm sure that FIFA got some calls.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
From Yeah, yeah, Trumpster called them.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Yeah, for sure. FIFA is super crop they got they
got Venmo. Yeah, and they're like, yeah, you know what
that red card we didn't see it, and so, uh.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
The US being in it gives it. I mean, the
second the USA is out of it, it'll drop off.
The world watch it.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
But I think, I mean it'll drop off some, but
I still think it. I think it's the sport itself
is what's drawing people right now. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
I mean, obviously I think it's also the only thing on. Yeah,
and it's just it has been exciting, so much fun.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
People that watch it every every time say, this is
one of the better terms.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
People are allowing themselves to enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then we'll forget about it for
four years.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
How dare you? Two years Women's World Cups. In two years.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Portugal will battle Spain today at two pm, so that'll
be right on before us. Yeah, and that's your favorite
Portugal player, probably Dela Reese.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Hell reason, who did you say rivalry?

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Yeah, he doesn't watch that sure from Harlem.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Nice, that's right, from Harlem Knights. Yeah, she's a great player. Jesus.
She changed.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
She plays on the men's Portugal team.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
She changed a lot of things.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Oh, I guess it's I didn't know her on Mahalia Jackson.
We're on the same team. This is her.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Birthday, Well it would have been, she wasn't dead. She's
born nineteen thirty one. You know she's touched by an angel.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
You can hear the game tonight. I'm the fan the.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Game we talk about the USA.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Yeah, oh man, it's on tonight on Cafe m the
USA game.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
I mean, of course, listen to it on Campan, but
the Telemoundo broadcasts are a lea, Come on, that's how
you got it. That's how you got if you're watching
it on TV, that is how you got to watch it. Man,
those Spanish announced script.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah but they yeah, we know roads Byron Buckston will
be an All Stars starter for the first time, and
he is making his third overall appearance. Joe Ryan will
also be on the team, and Vladimir Guerrero Junior was
named the All Star starter at first base, but he's
declining and not going.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Ah, well, what are you gonna do?

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Yeah, I'm with Julia, though. I think a lot of
these All Star games are getting thrown out the window,
except for hockey.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Hockey figured it out.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
But that's the kind of have a unique setup where
they have all those different players from all around the
world's more evenly matched. I know the NBA try to
do it, but it doesn't.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
It didn't doesn't he hit the same The league's not the.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Same, right, and we know they don't care.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
NBA still has a pretty good grip on their All.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
Star The dunk contest just stinks.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
All the dunks have been straight up buns.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Yeah, what more can you do? You know?

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Well, and there's no superstars. Lebron kind of ruined. Yeah, yeah,
well yeah, and if aunt did it, it'd be great,
It'd be amazing. I can't wait for the Wolve season
this year.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Are you out of your mind?

Speaker 3 (27:09):
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
It's too early.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
What if they get Lebron?

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Good? Good for them.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
There was a moment this weekend where I thought it
was a really good chance. I convinced myself they were
going to get Lebron.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
I had seen some things on Twitter and I was like.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Right, maybe I thought it was a real thing. And
the pitch that they have is the team with aunt
Man and LaMelo would be I mean, I hate saying it.
If he goes back to Cleveland, it's simply because it's
a good storybook out they can't win. He can win
it here if he comes here, and they would treat
we would treat him like a king. His jersey would

(27:43):
be the number one selling jersey. We'd put it in
the RAF. It would yes, it would be. I mean,
I would bet seventy two of their eighty two games
would be nationally televised. They'd be on Christmas Day. They'd
give him everything they could gavin and have a spot
for him at every restaurant he could just show up.
They would We would love it here.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
It would be great.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
If he goes to Cleveland, then he's an old man
and I don't care about him anymore. But if he
comes here, it's the greatest thing.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
About He's shooting his documentary and it would look so
cool with all the ice in the snow.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Yeah. Yeah, he can go to Cleveland because I mean
we'd also have Bronni, which would be a huge advantage
to the rest of US company. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No sports,
uh Norway beat Brazil to one to advance in the
World Cup. Uh Neymar who plays for Brazil, announced after
the game that he will be retiring from international soccer.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Oh well time and.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Then beat They beat Mexico last night three two. They
will advance to the quarterfinals. That's the first loss by
Mexico on uh in Mexico they've ever had. First time
lost snuts man.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
Yep, the atmosphere there was absolutely Yeah, it would be insane.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
It was. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Yeah, So that's what's a nice job.

Speaker 7 (29:00):
You did it.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Yeah, and then I've got some vikings news for us excellent.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
I have a couple of things as we'll look at us,
because it's getting closer every moment.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Can't wait. Yeah, we be so hardy.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
I know you like football. We all like football. We
report on what the twenty seventh.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Twenty days from today.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
The rookies report lucky lucky, which.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Means the rest of them, and then they can't hide
the quarterback competition anymore. That's going to be one of
the most talked about things in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
It already is, yeah, it already is Yeah. And you
know who won't leave it alone as Julia.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Dan, Yeah, you got to leave it alone.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Leave it alone. She loves it.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Yeah, you got to slow down here.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Sorry.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Parts of Mornshaw will be back with Vikings news and more.
What I for this on the fan.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
From the one eight hundred ask Gary Traffic Center.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
This report is.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
All right, welcome right back here we are. Lot's going
on in the WHO wide world. The World Cup has
proven to be a ratings bonanza for TV executives. According
to Neilson, more than forty three million people watched on
Fox and Telemundo as the US beat Bosnia in the

(30:13):
round of thirty two last week. Grouplay matches also drew
big viewership numbers, with seventy two matches, averaging five point
one million fans on Fox FS one and two B.
That's a ninety two percent jump from the twenty twenty
two World Cup. There you go, people digging it.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Yeah they are man good for them.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Yeah, and they're digging vikings on the Power Trip presented
by Joe eases you, Thank you, rad Joe. And now
here's this.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Well my bit was hold on here, I have it
right here one of us. The rookies will report to
camp twenty days from today. You mentioned it. In like
nine days the Patriots will be at camp. The Hall
of Fame game is under a month from today. So
as everybody likes to kind of point out, this is
the last month without football to like March.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Yeah, so yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
It's great. It's great, and it flies by. There is
not a season that flies by faster than college football.
College football flies by, agreed. It starts and then all
of a sudden you're like, how is it week eight already?
And then by by the time you get to I mean,
it only goes from September to Thanksgiving technically, and then
not if.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
You're an Alabama fan like.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Me, h, yeah, yeah, good way, did you memory serve.
Did you work at Alabama? Is that right?

Speaker 4 (31:39):
I went to school there.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Yeah, you went to school there, right, But did you
do tell us I did.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
I did some recruiting, okay, got it for the football team,
got it? Yeah? And I also work.

Speaker 6 (31:48):
I interned SEC on CBS, so a lot of football coverage.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
And while you were there, I'm guessing they won two
or three World championship.

Speaker 6 (31:54):
We won, we won one while I was there, and
then they won one on on on uh what name
one another the year after I graduated.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
That must be fun. Oh, I can't even.

Speaker 6 (32:05):
I genuinely think that that is the best day of
my entire life. Ever that when we went it was
the second uh.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Second and twenty three to it.

Speaker 6 (32:15):
They switched quarterbacks a half Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was crazy.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
That's crazy. I mean, that's just really.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
I've always thought, I don't know, if you know, like
the Harry Potter reference, if I have to conjure up petronas, like,
that's the memory I would use.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Yeah, of course, Hawk loves Harry.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
I love Harry.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
You know what I'm talking about? Completely, Three of the
wands one Harry Potter.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Wanted and wanted. That's how it was manly get to
be a dad A couple of times, you go, but yeah, no,
that's that must have just been. I love college football.
I just love it. And in fact, as I left
my house this morning, it had five minutes left on
the download. Oh when I get home today, yeah, I
will be playing college football twenty seven by myself with

(32:57):
my cat watching. It's gonna be fun.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
So are you gonna are you going to create a player? Bit?
Are you going to be like the head coach?

Speaker 7 (33:04):
Bit?

Speaker 3 (33:04):
How are you going to?

Speaker 2 (33:05):
I will create a player, yeah, and go to Iowa State.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Iowa State recruits me.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, I still have my Iowas State on college Football
twenty six. Julia. I was a highly recruited linebacker, and
I chose Iowa State because they allowed me to start
right away, and we won a national championship in my
rookie year. At the they've never won one at Iowa State,
and I get way too involved, and then it gets
to be, uh.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
He bought a hat.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I bought a hat. Yeah, I did, And I became
a real fan of that's school for just a smidge,
and then then I realized that it was a video game.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
And to tell, will my coworker Will Hall. Yeah, he's
went to Iowa State, big clothes fan.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Yeah right, well, we'll see it.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Dominated they'll see if.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
They recruit me again in the new version of the game.
I'm excited about playing it. I can't wait to see
the updates, if there are any. And uh, I like
playing video games for about two weeks and then I
get bored with it.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
That game that's I'll buy it as soon as I'll
buy it that There's not a video game that gets
old quicker than that one. But like two weeks, you're like,
this is the best. I love it, and then you realize, like,
and that's where they're like, did you.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Want to go to this party tonight?

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Yeah, right right.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
I always choose the Hawk is like a three star.
I always choose five star recruiting.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
I like to work for it.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Yeah, I just like to show up.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Yeah. No, I like to be the the underachiever who
does well, you know, I think.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Yeah, I think it was Notre Dame all of us, Yeah,
I think yeah. And it was my son's name, and
he was the quarterback and he set like every record
at Notre Dame. Nice because you played uneasy and you
just sling the foot you played.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
For Hawk, that's the only team I've played for you
the first one year. Well yeah, I mean that was
a long time ago. I was in the previous versions.
But you know I I one time I a decision,
I stick to it. In IL does nothing for me.
And I know that the NIL is involved in this
new version of the video game, and I know that
they're going to be trying to lure me with big
cash and big other things. But I'm not going to
fall for it because once I make a choice, I stick.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
We have just the coach for you, Swiny.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
I would love to hear that.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
You think you'd like to hear it from me.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Man, we'll see if he recruits me. I mean it
might not think I'm worth it. Dam We'll see.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
That can also be a thing.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
It's fun, though it is fun for about two It is.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Until like I always say, every time I play these
video games, whether it be Madden or any even MLB,
which I think maybe the MLB games are the best
at this.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
It is.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
And you've talked to me about this, but the easiest
too easy, and the medium is too hard.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
It's too hard.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
No in between, no easy gets boring because it's too easy,
and medium is impossible for me to play. I'm too old.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
The dynamic setting on MLB the show is the best
thing video games has ever done. It gets harder as
you get better at it, and if it gets too hard,
it dials it back. Every sports video game should have that.
Yeahs Hawk says, if you put it on medium, it's
too hard.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
You can't do it.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
You can't do it.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
You can't win.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Yeah, you can't win and you lose all yees.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Yeah, I don't want logic playing it. I don't know
what people telling me that Iowa State isn't a real
national contender.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
I mean, my this is your world.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah, the game six foot six and I weighed three
hundred pounds forty Yeah, come on, man, back up. Real
Viking's news comes from an article out of the New
York Times Today. Oh sweet athletic New York Times Bah.
They focused on one spot, not just player spot for
each team heading into camp that you should keep an
eye on, and Alec Lewis wrote that that one player

(36:40):
for your Minnesota Vikings is Juwan Jennings, the wide receiver.
Yes arrived, I should say the This is what he
says head coach Kevin O'Connell rived in twenty twenty two
and the best number three receiver he's had since then.
It's a fascinating question. Perhaps that was kJ Osborne. I
miss kJ.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Yeah, great dude.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Receiver Brandon Powell played a a solid role in twenty
twenty three. The Vikings also have had Trent Sherfield and
Jalen Naylor. Jalen's great guy too. Speedy Jennings is an
entirely different level of talent. The Vikings will pair him
with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Edison. His skill set ads
a rugged receiving option who can dictated in a certain

(37:18):
personnel group on defenses to defenses. I should say Jennings
should help run the game. Now, you know what, If
I'm going to read from Alec, I should actually read
like I'm from here now from Indiana. Let me say
that again. Jennings should help the run game as well.
He has a fascinating new wrinkle to Minnesota's offense. So
that's the player to watch for you, Minnesota Vikings, according
to Alex Lewis, your thoughts, Julia Daniels.

Speaker 6 (37:42):
Yeah, I mean he's obviously it's a different type of
receiver than what you had in Speedy because he's not
as fast, but he's just more physical. And I like
that especially paired up with Justin Jefferson because Justin Jefferson
is such a physical receiver too, and I'm excited.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
I think he's also a.

Speaker 6 (37:58):
Great personal He added to that receiver room too, not
that Speedy wasn't. He was also a great guy. He's quiet, good,
but just seeing Juwan is just like a spark plug
out when they're on the field together, and he's a
fun guy to listen to talk and.

Speaker 4 (38:14):
Also to just see out there. So I'm excited.

Speaker 6 (38:16):
I think a lot of the some of the best
stuff that I've seen when I was out there for
OTA's really great catches from him.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
So well, and I was, you know, thinking about him
looking more like a tight end force as well and
the things. Yeah, so that should be good. Something else
I noticed in this article though, Saucy Sauscerson when they
talked about the Detroit Lions, the one position to watch
was the new offensive coordinator, and I was like, well,
that's hot. And then for the Green Bay Packers, their

(38:43):
one position to watch was the defensive coordinator. And then
I looked at the names and I was like, well,
some bitch, I know both those people. Did you know
the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator is Drew Petsing.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
I did not. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Now, of course, Drew Petsing, I should say, was with
the Vikings for a long time from twenty fourteen to
offensive assistant, offensive assistant wide yeah yeah, yeah, assistant quarterbacks
coach and then wide receivers coach. Drew Petsing was one
of us for a long time. Now he's the offensive
coordinator for the Detroit Lions, and then for the Packers,

(39:14):
their position to watch was their defensive coordinator.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
Jonathan Gannon. How about that Jonathan getting former Arizona and
Viking He was here right, He.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Was a since then defensive backs coach for us here
in twenty fourteen to twenty seventeen. So we have ties
to both the offensive coordinator for one squad and the
defensive coordinator for another squad.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Yeah, that defensive coordinator job for the Packers gets a
whole lot easier once Michah Parsons comes back, no doubt,
And if Michah Parsons didn't get hurt, they are probably
a super Bowl team. That's how good he is.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
He won't be back for our game.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
I don't think he'll be bad. I think he's going
to miss half the season. Yeah, I think is what
somebody has said, with some at least eight games. Yeah,
so that sucks for them. He's such a feast piece
such for them. Yeah, that first game's here, right.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Yeah, first game is here. That's exactly right. And by
the way, going back to petsing for a moment, I
was just thinking of this. Pupped into my brain. He
was our quarterbacks offensive coordinator last year. He was in Arizona.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Oh was he really? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (40:15):
Yeah, for the last two years twenty three and twenty four,
and so I from twenty twenty three to twenty twenty five,
he was the offensive coordinator in Arizona with our new quarterback.
That's an interesting high because they didn't There wasn't a
lot of great performance there.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
No, there was not no, but they Yeah, their offensive
coordinator last year I think was really bad for Detroit.
They're a team that they lost. I think at this
time last year they'd lost like half their offensive line.
They just didn't really have it, and then they were
They've been decimated by injuries the past couple of seasons,

(40:52):
but they are with Jamiir Gibbs, they're always a team
that can be good. He's such a good player.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Yeah, so there you go. That's my vikings.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
J Yeah, he did it, very well done.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
There's also an article on FRO football talk dot com
about the fact that Kevin O'Connell was the college roommate
of the New York Jets general manager. Wow. I don't
know how you say his last name, Moogie Darren m
o u g e y.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
My apologie will be Moogie.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
I apologize if I'm saying that incorrectly, but they were
college roommates at San Diego State. That's exactly right, New
York Jets general manager, and I guess he has been
for a little Wow. Yeah, I did not know that either.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
I think, if memory serves, he might have mentioned it
on this radio show.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Yeah, but that might make it easier to trade him
whichever quarterback for us doesn't work out. I would guess
that that's what happens. Don't you think if there's an injury,
I'm gonna tell you to one of these guys they like,
not not our guy, but like, if there's a major injury,
and a month and a half from now, KOs comes

(41:55):
out and says, hey, we uh were naming JJ McCarthy
as our starter. He's going to get all the first
team reps. If you're a guy like Kyle Murphy and
you need to play this year to get paid, you
would probably demand to trade and if there is an injury,
you could probably get a decent amount, especially a team

(42:17):
that thinks they can compete. That's another thing in the
back pocket why this quarterback thing is so unbelievable. All
of it, all the angles of it are great. Whoever
doesn't win it might not be the backup. It's gonna
be Carson Wentz.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
I'm gonna tell you, man, you could be right, but
I just don't think you can have enough healthy, good
quarterbacks on your squad right now.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
Well, yeah, you know you're a Vikings fan, so that would.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Yeah, you know, I don't. I don't trade away any
quarterbacks because then you end up with you know, but
you guys have.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Been through the yeah for years, for years. But let's
this is a bad example. I don't want this to happen.
But let's say somebody like Jalen Hurts gets hurt and
that we have Kyle or Kyler Murphy. That might be something, OK,
thank you for what If they're like, hey, we'll give

(43:10):
you a second round pick for it? I think you
do it in a second, right, I think, I mean, that's.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
That's I mean, but that's that thing, right.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
I just think that one of whoever doesn't want to
whoever doesn't win the battle, I don't think is going
to be a like a great backup.

Speaker 4 (43:27):
I could see that.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
I just especially, I just don't think it's going to
work out. Both of these guys think they can start.
I don't think whoever loses. I think whoever loses the
job isn't going to go quietly, I think is my point,
which makes it fascinating. That makes I can't wait for
it all to happen. I can't wait, man.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
I mean, this could be a really great thing. I mean,
I you know, I'm a well known glass half full
kind of game. But I really think Kyler is going
to be great for us, So do I. I think
He's going to scramble like crazy. It's going to open
up things for JJ to get deep and uh wide
open for touchdowns, and that makes Jordan Madison's done. Then
we're in the super Bowl and I'm in having a
ring on my hand. I can't believe it, and it's great.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Well, I just.

Speaker 6 (44:06):
Also, I don't know, maybe I shouldn't say this or not,
but I think, should that be the case Kyler Murray
wins the starting job, it wouldn't be bad for JJ
McCarthy to get a fresh start somewhere else.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
I think that. And they have a perfect excuse them
to him right, somebody will come calling right like you
just see it. There's all once these rosters start to
be set, and some of these guys realize this isn't
my Hello Hi there, Yeah, hold on.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
You want to come hang out with us in Tampa Bay?
Tampa Bay.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
