Speaker 1 (00:11):
Welcome back once again the final hour of the Power
Trip Morning Show from Detroit Lakes here in the Kegs
and Eggs event at Kent Freeman Arena. A great crowd
of people up here. As always, we thank you so
much for welcoming the Power Trip Morning Show. And we've
got a big announcement coming up here in about one minute,
so get yourselves ready, but super exciting stuff. And then,
of course we still have one round of the Initials

(00:34):
major to go here in just a few moments, and
Marty's already back up here on stage. He's ready to go.
He's he's he's excited, and he got the last one
and he thinks he's going to go on on an
Miltaire here was a good, great absolute Martin. That was
a good one. But I think it's time that we
make this announcement.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Hell yeah, man, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
We're super excited about it now again we've talked about it.
You can still get on the waiting list to get
the Treasure Island for our big event coming up here
at Treasure Island in November. But this one is what
is happening to the next level, I guess, is what
you'd say. So I'm going to read from my email.
Let's get the Powers Of twenty fifth Anniversary Vegas Bash

(01:14):
off and running. You heard me. The twenty fifth Anniversary
Vegas Bash is happening at the Powers of Morning Show.
So here's what's going on. We are going to Las
Vegas November eighteenth through the twenty third. Hell Yeah brother
Live broadcasts an anniversary celebration, a Purple Watch party, and
we are staying at and broadcasting from and having a

(01:36):
party at Circa Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Let's go
hell Yeah. Not only that, the Purple Game, the Vikings Game,
the Purple Watch party will be happening at Circa Swim
outside at the greatest bar I've ever been to, with
the hottest people I've ever seen walking around, serving drinks

(01:58):
and having a great time. It's going to be a
giant bash. Now here's the thing. We always go to
Vegas and do it. We've been doing it for a
long time. It's so much fun. We appreciate our friends
and planning, Hollywood, everybody who's helped us out. We are
going to be switching to Circa downtown for a number
of reasons. Number one, we are going during Formula one weekend.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
So we're going to be out there while they're racing
down on the strip. The cool thing about that is
if you want to get in an uber or something
at head down the strip and see that, you can,
But there is absolutely no reason to have to do that.
We're going to have everything happening downtown in Las Vegas
and staying at Circa And I'll tell you as we
get you all the information so you can actually purchase

(02:38):
your hotel stage here. Zacho's going to give you that
in a moment. I want you to know that we've
been working on this for a long time. There's a
reason we are just announcing it now. It is official.
Every member of the Power Trip Morning Show is going
on this trip. So if you come with us and
you stay with us and hang out with us out there,
the entire party is going to be every member of
the Power Trip Morning Show, including the late Mark he

(03:01):
passed away from He will be there. Yeah, he will
be joining us. So everybody's gonna be there. Everybody's going
to be involved. And the deal to come out there
and stay at Circa and at the d downtown is fantastic.
So with the information here's Zacho.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
So the easiest way, by the way to get all
these details kfan dot com keyword Vegas.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
That's gonna hell yeah, have it all for you here.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
But the promo code power Trip, when you book your
room either at Circa or the D is going to
give you a very special room rate. It's I mean,
it's dirt cheap to go out there.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
You know.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Wherever you're saying, whether it is Circa or the D
they're very close to each other. You can still join
us for all sorts of fun and excitement. The whole
weekend is going to be great. So again, the promo
code is power Trip, no Space, power Trip. The rest
of the details of kfan dot com keyword Vegas exactly.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
It's November eighteenth through November twenty third. November eighteenth through
November twenty third, we're gonna have all kinds of parties.
We have a get together at the Circle when everybody
gets there for people who are involved in this as
well for Power Trip listeners. Obviously, we're gonna have the
Purple Watch party because that weekend the Minnesota Vikings are
playing someplace special.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Am I right about that?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Where the Vikings playing that weekend Mexico City. That's right,
the weekend of Mexico City. So we'll be out there
Ben and I for the power trip, to do live broadcasts,
to be involved in the parties, to have a good time,
to hang out at the Circa, and then he and
I will head off to Mexico to actually join the Vikings,
but the rest of you guys will be outdoor at
the Circa Swim watching the Vikings play. Tell us about

(04:30):
Circa Swim if you win sauce.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
If you've never been to Circa. It's literally the greatest
place on the planet. It's also the greatest place on
the planet to watch sports. It is a It's like
watching sports in an omni theater, that's how sweet it is.
It's the best place to watch a Saturday of college football,
a full slate of NFL football into the Vikings game.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
It is a lait.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
You will absolutely love it. And as Zacho said, it's
such a good deal to go out there. Everyone's going
to be out there. It's going to be suck a
fun time. I cannot recommend Circa enough. You will have
a blast. How much fun it's gonna be. Yeah, I
was there on Monday, we did a walk through kind
of seeing getting a good lay of the land. Actually
still in my Circa sports a wristband on and uh

(05:15):
the area that they are talking about marking off at
stadium swim.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
We're gonna have a just.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
A giant area of Vikings fans watching the game on
a giant screen in a heated pool, you know.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
In.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Lights and everything. I mean, it's gonna be wonderful. We
have two show broadcasts Thursday and Friday morning. From the
actual sports book. We mentioned the people coming, Marnie Gillner,
Mark Parrish, Ben leeber, Mark Rosen, John Kriesel, Max fuller
Us and then Tommy Olsen will be there. We just

(05:52):
he might not know he's there, but he'll be there.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
No for real, I mean, think about what we're saying.
Tommy Olsen broadcasting in Vegas from a bar with ladies
and bikinis and gentlemen in bikinis. I don't know why
I shouldn't have mentioned that at Liber at Circa and
Liber's going to be there. Everybody's gonna be there. It's
gonna be huge. Again. It's November eighteenth through the twenty third.
You know, we knew we used to put a whole

(06:15):
package together where the flight came and everybody jumped. But
we figured out really really quickly that everybody wanted to
put their own flights. They wanted to have a situation
where they could get themselves out there. So we made it,
just made it easier. But I will say this, no
matter where you go, no matter where you stay, no
matter what, if you get yourself to Vegas, come and
watch us broadcast live, that's fine. I can't encourage you
enough to check out this deal because the deal they

(06:36):
put together, our friends John Piliska, everybody put together with
Circa to make it really, really inexpensive to have the
time your life in Vegas with the pout your morning
show for the twenty fifth anniversary. You can't beat it.
So check it out. Give me the information one more time.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
There again, cafe in dot com keyword Vegas. The promo
code will be on there as well, but it's promo
code power Trip. When you get get a great deal
at Circa, the d is even a better deal. And uh,
this is a perfect opportunity. Go down, bring your friends to.
Uh there's plenty to do. Obviously, you should mention the
Neon City Music festival will be on free months. They

(07:10):
put a huge free months festival for free that you
can go and just watch these you know, nationally touring bands.
We've uh, we've in the past, they've had the All
American Rejects, Good Charlotte Walk, a.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Flock of Flame. So if you're yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
You were getting there that we're getting a yeah, far
away okay, And the Whaler is going to be there.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
No they broke up. Oh Smitt died. He's right there
the other one. Oh, peace dude. So yeah, we're very excited.
And again, you know, it's just it's gonna be a
real celebration of twenty five years. And we encourage everybody
to come out there and join us. And even if
you just came out there just because you wanted to

(07:55):
watch a Vikings game with a bunch of friends, even
if you just came out there because you want to
come to Vegas in November, why wouldn't you want to
do that. But of course, the fact that we're all
going to be there together and celebrating the show, and
we are putting together some other things, some things for
everybody to be involved with, that's going to make it
even bigger deal. So November eighteenth through the twenty third,
twenty five years of the Power Trip Morning Show, we're
very excited. Please join us. Go on KFA dot com,

(08:17):
use that promo code and get yourself booked soon because
obviously there's only so many hotel rooms at both those places,
and we don't they're going to book up fast, I'm
sure about us. So book it today and join us.
And the flights are really really inexpensive to get there
right now, so you better take advantage of that as well,
because everybody's been booked and ready to go and you
were taking care of that Zacho right now, it's a
pretty good time to book.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
And you flights yeah right, No, they're not bad at all.
And you know, you get your fly your own way.
That's the beauty of this Vegas, your way. Fly there
whenever you want, fly home whenever you want.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
And I should not too.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I mean, Circa's got two like king rooms. So bring
the boys, bring the girls, bring everything right, Relax, yeah, relax, relax,
but ring the Tommies text mess here, welcome Tommy. It'll
be a leap man.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I'm telling you, I'm so high him so hi sore
you go. Thanks for you know, supporting us for twenty
five years and let's go party. Marty, are you involved?
Would you like to go to the Powership in Vegas?
Sounds like a great time. Have you been to Circle before?
I have not? Have you been to Vegas before?

Speaker 5 (09:18):
I have?

Speaker 1 (09:19):
And how'd you do? It? Wasn't good? Yeah, you know what,
I'm gonna go out there and get your money. Sorry, daddie,
I'm gonna go get your money for you. They're just
holding it for me. Thank you very much. I appreciation
you join us though, come on out there, so please
make your plans and do that before we get to
our last round of this Major's this initials major. Here's
saucy with a little bit more sports saucy, brought to

(09:40):
you my friends at the Saint Paul Saints.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
How about this?

Speaker 2 (09:42):
So this broke yesterday, the cow Hi Leonard trade between
them and he's going to Toronto is on hold because
if you remember from a few years ago, there was
the bit where they were like giving him odd jobs
but pain and make a ton of money, like they
were putting him on company payrolls of companies that like

(10:02):
some of the owners of the Clippers.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Had but then paying him like no show jobs.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Correct, they were paying him under the table, and now
the trade is on hold because A they think he
might be suspended next season and B Toronto doesn't want
to be responsible if he gets suspended. They don't want
to have him on their team one hundred percent. He
tried to go to Toronto to escape defense. Yeah, but
Uncle Sam wants his money though he's coming for KLi. Yeah,

(10:29):
that's it's a really interesting situation that they got going down.
They were putting him on like payrolls for like pre companies,
but paying him like ten million dollars. It was a
significant a ton. Yeah, I believe it was a Pablo
tore that broke up. Yes, it was so weird. That's
like a college thing.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Correct, that's I can't believe they did.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
That's and the owner of the Clippers is one of
the richest guys in the world.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
It's such a weird story.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yeah, but yeah, they think he's going to be suspended,
so this trade could get real weird. It's interesting because
at first they all try to downplay, including Adam Silver
in the NBA. They kind of just acted like it
was no big deal. But I feel like as they
dug a little deeper. They're like, oh man, this guy
owes us some money.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah, I mean the yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
And then the Lebron watches on the ESPN is saying
it's possibly between the Cabs, Heat Denver, the Sixers, the Warriors,
and the Wolves. So as long as he's still out there,
the Wolves are still alive.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
In the Lebron watch.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
It's the most basketball, it makes the most basketball sense,
but obviously a lot of other things going on. I
think Cleveland everybody kind of thinks Clinton still has the
upper hand. He was literally hanging out with the GM
last weekend, so I would say that they have the
upper hand. But in terms of basketball sense, I don't
think there's a better fit than the Minnesota temberw Dos
anybody want Lebron James for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
No, I would like to add my name. Thanks Zacho.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Okay, what coffee on the.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Enthusiasm hockeyer thoughts on Lebron in what position would he play?

Speaker 1 (11:56):
He played tight end? I'm thinking no for the Wolf.
I was talking to my friends is at the Midwest
Bank over there. Yeah, we're talking about Ames orthodonics.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Wow, I'm read, Well, that's sad. He hasn't found his
glasses yet.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
You can't see him.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
So yeah, yeah, Twins play tonight, then they're off for
the All Star break. Buxton will not plays on the
il the Wild haven't done anything. Training camps start hearing
about a week and a half or some teams, your
rookies for your vikings report in. I think it's sixteen
days now, so we've got that to look forward to.
The Hall of Fame game is under thirty days away,

(12:32):
which we're still going, right, huh.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
We better man the You know you ruined the bed
last night, but the man's all timed and ready to go. Man.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah, anybody you want to think that's sponsoring us going
to the Hall of Fame game.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
I love bl DC.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Of course you do. You've looked at up Yeah, of
course we're googling that last night.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
I don't think that's to be.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
I can't tell you can't see. I'm telling you he
doesn't have his glasses on.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
I like tried net Financial. It's thriving. I can't see, man,
I'm all over there. I can't see what's happening here
at Carl Farman.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I mean, yes, the billboard below that is the reason
you went to zorbas poll tabs now available.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
I know what you're talking about. Yeah, I don't know
why you make fun of me. You have a bigger
problem than I do. I do, Yeah, I really do.
It's because of you, though.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
I am Zach.

Speaker 1 (13:24):

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Is this the weekend?

Speaker 1 (41:07):
It's next week? Can I keep asking that question? I
keep thinking it's this weekend. I saw a couple of
reviews that weren't very I don't know, good. Yeah, yeah,
I heard that's what I thought too, But I've seen
a couple that weren't very good. Did you guys know
that Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is still coming
on television from time to time? Do you remember that
show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Is still on TV?

(41:28):
The new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
premiere is Wednesday, the twenty second on ABC. This season's
gonna include Ben Affleck and thirty one Game Jeopardy champion
Jamie Ding and a Seinfeld reunion with Jason Alexander, Wayne
Knight and a few others. Clayton Kershaw is gonna play day,
It's gonna play all kinds of people playing. So they're

(41:48):
doing I guess the celebrity edition of it this year.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
I mean, can you think of a game show that
when it premiered on TV you were more blown away?
I mean that show when I think it was what
two thousand, two thousand and one, that was it? That
was a game changing game show because of the concept
of it.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
That was one of those things that.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Everybody watched it the world really didn't and it was Regius, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Who would you guys call as your friend?

Speaker 2 (42:15):
You?

Speaker 1 (42:15):
Get the phone?

Speaker 3 (42:16):
A friend?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Right?

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (42:17):
I probably would have called Smidium. Yeah, you would have
called my dad.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
I would have called your dad and uh, you know,
he wouldn't have been able to answer any of the questions.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
All right, thirty seconds your time starts now, Uh, Jeff,
what are you wearing?

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (42:31):
You're trying to win a million dollars. Actually, i'd have
called a bunch of people and nobody would have answered,
you can't find a single friend, So sad. I loved
that show, though, I say, yeah, I didn't even realize.
I kind of, to be honest with you, kind of
forgot about it. But I will watch it. I forgot it. Yeah,
it'll be fun. Check this out, guys. I was looking
at the new releases coming out this weekend in music,

(42:53):
and you know, I'm often like when I when I
look these things up, I'm like, I don't know who
that is. I don't know who that is. I don't
know who that is. But listen to the new releases
for albums this weekend. Rolling Stones have their twenty fifth
album coming out this weekend. Really, they're Rolling Stones releasing
a new record called fourign Tons. Jack White's seventh album
is out there.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Let me tell you this new Jack White record. There's
some great tunes. I've heard two of it. That's very cool. Yeah,
bring me hither. Horizon has a new record coming out. Really,
The Neo's got a new record out. Yeah no, no, no,
that's I'm right about that. I'm sure that.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
No, you're not close?

Speaker 1 (43:28):
Boy? Is that it is that Pat Cusper doing? Pat
showed up just to yell got karaoke audio? Pat Kestler
is is Finn wolf Hard, the guy from Stranger Things. Yeah,
so yeah, he's got a new record coming out. Yeah,
what's the name of his album?

Speaker 3 (43:45):
Because I think you had that in the eighties.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
I want to Mawana. No, it's fire from the Hip.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
That movie's speaking of that movie, that movie's getting terrible reviews. Yeah,
it's getting savage. It's too early for right, like, yeah, it.

Speaker 1 (43:59):
Just came out. Yeah, yeah, the second one was like
a year ago. Is this Oh it's live action? Yeah, okay,
got it. So the live action version of Mowana with
the Rock and everybody else comes out this weekend. Something
called Evil Dead Burn, which is what you had on
your crank. I believe sauce. Are you voice texting my dead?

Speaker 5 (44:17):
No?

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Why would I do that? That movie can't be good.
The Evil Dead movies are terrible.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
I think Paul McCartney is on that new Rolling Stone,
absolutely do.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
I think I was eating something about it about that
a little bit earlier this week.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
That's pretty cool. Yeah, but here we go, ladies and gentlemen.
The World Cup quarterfinals conclude this weekend, and again we
talked about it earlier, but I haven't heard much about it.
Even Brent admitted he's not as excited since the US
is out. But if you do care, today at two
o'clock Spain versus Belgium. Tomorrow at four o'clock, shout out
to Andy Norway versus England. Is he still here at

(44:51):
the Nomes? Is he still what here?

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (44:55):
Sorry? Now he believe? He went, Wow, you guys hate me,
but he was here for a long he was. Yeah, yeah,
yeah he was. And then Saturday as well, Tomorrow at
eight o'clock Eastern Argentina versus Switzerrock.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
I think the final, Brett, if you can correct me,
is a week from Sunday.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
The nineteenth.

Speaker 4 (45:16):
That the top of my head, yeah, nineteen, yes.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
Yeah, it's like it might be a rematch of the
twenty twenty two France versus Argentina Part two?

Speaker 3 (45:25):
Who's on that team?

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Hawk?

Speaker 3 (45:28):
Was it Bills? You know his classes?

Speaker 1 (45:32):
It does say ken Frean giant right though we talked
about it.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
Man, even with a die hard soccer guy like Brent,
Brett is in Nordowar. They've kind of lost interest, man, Yeah, yeah,
like it you when they were begging people to continue
watching after the US went out.

Speaker 3 (45:48):
That's not really good for business. I do.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
I do want to say this in regards to non
sports television, though. One of my favorite books of all
time is getting another adaptation and it comes out tomorrow,
well today, actually, I guess it's probably out right now
on HBO. Max Stephen King's got a book called The
Long Walk. Yeah, oh yeah. I read it when it
was brand new. I've read it multi I listened to it,

(46:11):
I should say multiple times since then. It's had a
few different adaptations, which have been very good. But it's
really hard because it is the longest book he ever wrote.
It's a very very long story, and it was the
very first ever zombie virus slash just virus kind of film,
