Since my Son's car Ate Guardrail, I've kind of not
been the same. At first, I was thrown by my
being upbeat. I thought I wasn't saying it. Took me
weeks to get my head around it. What was going
on with me? Why I was happier than I've been
in ages? Was it the woman I just started to see?

She makes me happy? There's no denying, but this wasn't
that A near miss could be God's kiss, a holy
spirit backpack. There's nothing worth us arguing, nothing worth not
talking for days, nothing worth me not loving that boy

and all of the all of the ways since my
Son's car Ate guardrail, I look at him differently. It's
a mile that friggin smile, especially when he gives it
to me.
