Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to Dave Brian in the morning during COVID,
and he managed to get me all the way through.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
My high school years.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
My high school years were a very lonely time, so
him and his show made it seem like I had
some real friends.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Yeah, thank you very much. Oh, we are like real friends.
Huh yeah, who's on the hotline? Let's tell you later.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh oh, okay? Is it bad news or good news? Well,
it depends. No, it's not that dog Bernie bit, is it. No? No,
thankfully on the schedule, right, that's not happening. No, no
more Bernie dog calls.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Oh no, I think we might have him. I think
he might be calling in on Friday. He wants to
talk to his dad on his last day. Nobody likes
not Today.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
We have some more of these talkbacks.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Just some people have leaveing left thoughts of the show.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
Oh Dave, you have been an absolute staple of my
morning routine for the last twenty five years, and now
you're a part of my eight year old son's morning routine.
We're going to miss hearing your voice. But congratulations on retirement.
Live your best life, and we are going.
Speaker 6 (01:07):
To miss you.
Speaker 7 (01:08):
From Albertville, from Albertville.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Thank you.
Speaker 8 (01:12):
I just want to say that you will be missed.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Katie w B.
Speaker 8 (01:15):
Will not be the same in the morning without you.
I've been listening since I was born. You've been on
air my whole life, so it's gonna be a little
weird when you're gone. But we'll miss you, and I
hope you have fun in the next chapter of your life.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Here's one more that mentions the wild Thing contest we
did twenty ish years ago.
Speaker 9 (01:39):
One of the memories I have of the Dave Ryan
Show is I believe it was two thousand and four,
maybe two thousand and five. They did the roller coaster
marathon at I'm at bally Fair for the wild Thing
and I participated in that. I only lasted thirty seven
rounds before I almost peeked.
Speaker 10 (02:00):
If I never would.
Speaker 9 (02:01):
Have lasted the ten days that it took to win.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Love you, guys, Dave.
Speaker 10 (02:06):
You will be missed.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Thank you. They wrote on that roller coaster for ten days.
We started out with a whole coaster full of people
and they dropped out slowly, one by one, and then
the last two people they're playing for a car. I
think at Toyota Scion brand new Scion, and the last
two people would not give up. They said, I'm not
going to give up. I will ride as long as
it takes. So Toyota said, you get a car, and
(02:29):
you get a car, so they both want a car.
Speaker 10 (02:31):
I feel like when you're the last two in any contest,
you're like, well, I can't drop out.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
I can't drop out.
Speaker 10 (02:37):
So you need to have like the last three and
then have two of them drop out at the same time,
because if there's Vinyl two, it's a showdown to.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Oh yeah, it really was, so yeah, so many cool
memories over the years of all the different things. Leave
a talk back and share your memory of what you
remember about the show. Over the last third, I'm hearing
from people, you guys that I haven't heard from.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
I heard from Brentley. Yeah, did I tell you? Brentley
called me.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
Yeah, Well you actualed it to us, but I don't
know if you mentioned it.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I don't think I mentioned it on the hear Brentley
was my buddy for thirty forty years or so, and
then we kind of had a falling out because you know,
he thought I was being a jerk and I thought
he was being a jerk, and so I hung up
on him about three years ago and we have not
spoken since. And then he called me on Saturday and
left a voicemail, and my voicemail doesn't say hy, it's Dave.
(03:29):
Leave a voicemail. It's just like the person you've reached
at this number is not there. So he's like, I'm
not even sure this is your number anymore. So I
haven't called him back yet.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
I feel like you should.
Speaker 9 (03:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah, why not fun?
Speaker 11 (03:42):
Because I'm just the type of person that like, if
in three years you haven't made my bother to kind
of reach out or we haven't had a conversation. I
think you know, all friends come in your life for
a reason.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
In a season. Yeah, maybe, but maybe you're just past
that point in your life.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
If you care about him still, I think that you
should still call him. You guys don't have to go
back to being besties. It's yeah, he's gonna apologize. He's
going to gravele and be like beat my friend.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
No, he won't. I know, Brentley, he will make me apologize.
And that's why you don't know this kid like I
know this guy.
Speaker 11 (04:10):
That's what I'm saying, he's only reaching out because you're leaving,
so he won you know, He's like, Okay, well this
is my opportunity to reach out. You haven't thought about
me in three years until I made this big announcement.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
You know what, I think he's kind of lonely.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
I think that Brnley spent and and this is not
this is just him. He spent his life just part
not partying like drugs and booze, but just like clubs
and dancing and a different girlfriend. Every time I saw him,
it was a different girlfriend. And now he's you know,
he's older, and it's like the girlfriend train has kind
(04:39):
of stopped, and I think he's kind of lonely.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
So, and he even told me one time, he said, man,
I think of all these wonderful, beautiful girls that I've
known over the years, and I should have married one
of them.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
And I'm like, yeah, yeah, maybe you should have.
Speaker 10 (04:51):
Well, if he's I mean, do you still care about
him like Jenny ass.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
In a way? I do. I just don't want his drama.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
Sure, Well, then I mean I I feel like one
phone call.
Speaker 10 (05:01):
I mean, if I went on one date with somebody,
my grandma would say, well, you don't have to marry him. True,
so you could give him one phone call. You don't
have to marry I.
Speaker 7 (05:09):
Didn't live here in the last three years, moved to
the Twins d.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
He still lives in Ohio as matter of fact. When
he left the voicemail, he's like, Hey, it's Brentley from
white Hall, Ohio. And I'm like, I don't care really.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Okay, all right, thanks for being here.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
This is the last Well, this is the last live
show in the studio until tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
We're gonna be out of all of America.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Very excited about that one, and then we'll be back
here in the studio for one last final show on Friday.
We're still playing games. We're still having fun. We're play
a little game called face Off in a second. That's
the one where we say, name as many NFL teams
as you can in fifteen seconds.
Speaker 11 (05:48):
Ready to go, Eagles, Broncos, Jets, Giants, No go go go.
Speaker 7 (05:54):
Sharks, Dolphins, No Panther, No Sharks.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I'm sorry, So that's kind of the way the game works.
We'll do that.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
We got Dave's Dirt, the sing along song of the Day,
The Daily Bailey, The Wheel of girlfriends coming up in
Psychic Gary Spivey. Gary Spivey and his hair are both
coming into the studio this morning at seven thirty five
for about a half an hour forty five minutes to
answer your questions and see what your future holds, all
about your relationships or your work, or your baby, or
(06:23):
your career or whatever. Gary Spivey answering questions at seven
thirty this morning on Kdubleub. Well, good morning, and we
are here for I don't even know what I'm saying.
I just got done talking to a friend of mine.
I'm totally distracted a guy that I used to work
with back in Phoenix thirty six years ago, and his
(06:45):
name was John and he was a college kid and
we called him Canoe Head why because we said, well,
your head is shaped like a canoe, which it wasn't.
We just thought it was a funny name. And he
was kind of like the extreme Chamian. He was reminding
me on the phone. He said, remember the time you
sent me into a circle k with a running chainsaw
and a hockey mask. And I said, I don't, and
(07:06):
I don't, but it sure sounds like something we would do.
But I was telling Bailey and Bailey's kind of listening
in the conversation on speaker, and I said, you know
what you were. He's like, I've got kids, and i
got a wife, and I've been married thirty years or whatever,
and I'm just a happy person. I said, you were
always a happy person. He was just one of those
guys that was always either laughing, smiling or listening. You
need and and and I said that's why I remember you,
(07:29):
because you were just one of those people. And then
I said, we all know somebody like that. I think
your friend Tony that comes in, he's always either laughing, smiling,
joking or listening. Yeah, And we love people like that.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
So I always around yourself with people like that.
Speaker 8 (07:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I mean it's hard. I don't know anybody like that
in this room. But no, I love you guys. I
love you guys.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
It's hard to always be smiling. Even at Costco yesterday
it was sticker shock.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
When I went to I was like, what is this same?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Yes, I filled up yesterday.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
I'm like, I look, you know, because you don't look
at the total until you turn around and you look
at the total and you yes, what in the world?
Speaker 2 (08:12):
All right?
Speaker 3 (08:12):
You play a little game on Katio. Explain the game, Jenny,
Jenny Lutenberg.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
We have three different categories and David Baaler are gonna
go head to head where they name as many things
as they can and said category in fifteen seconds.
Speaker 7 (08:23):
Dave will go first.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Bailly, we'll step out in the hall while Dave goes
and we'll do one category at a time, and Von's
got the timer for me.
Speaker 7 (08:31):
Thank you so much, Bond.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
We would argue that's most important. Honestly, I'm one, yes,
I am one yes.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
All right, Okay, first category today, David is I would
like you to name any bits from the Dave Ryan
in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Uh No phone screen or Friday, War of the Roses,
Talk Back Tuesday, name that tune, Monsters, the pot, Jenny's
been on Reddit, the Daily Daily, Dave's dirt. You can't
make this stuff up. The Morning Show gets bored and
plays with the equipment.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Okay, you didn't name face off.
Speaker 7 (09:03):
You know that's so funny because I wouldn't have.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
I probably wouldn't thought that either.
Speaker 7 (09:09):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
The next one is, I would like you to give
me male names.
Speaker 7 (09:14):
Any man's name.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
John, Joe, Bob, Mark, Paul, Jacob, Jason, Jared Scott, Mike, David, Charles, Carl, Alan, Fred,
Jeffrey Vant.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
All right, and your last Cordy category today is name
any of you Dave Ryan's.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Hobbies ukulele, motorcycle riding, magic, hiking, camping, flying, birding, porn
and loube.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
Go on just that.
Speaker 7 (09:56):
I'm not I'm not giving you Loo.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
You're not giving me what you got your points? If
you said the porn category, you.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
Shouldn't say magic.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
Did you hot?
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I think I did?
Speaker 7 (10:04):
You did?
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Maybe right away? All right, get in here, Bailey the
browser right now, you're ship right now, here's some of
your answer.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
What did you just say? Hen Ti? Is that a thing?
Maybe we'll talk about it later. Okay, all right, right, Bailey?
Speaker 6 (10:21):
What the why did you put on my phone? The
wrong thing?
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Them?
Speaker 7 (10:25):
Ignore them?
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Please?
Speaker 7 (10:26):
Okay, Bailey.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
First category today is name any day ride in the morning,
show bit go.
Speaker 10 (10:32):
Uh extreme, Jamie doing anything? Uh, parody songs, Bernie calling
were of the Roses group, therapy, Uh, face off, think fast.
Speaker 12 (10:46):
Geez terrible. I don't know what bits tales said that? Okay,
talk back Tuesday, get on, okay?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Oh is she testy today?
Speaker 7 (11:00):
I thought I was like we're supposed to do history,
geez I.
Speaker 6 (11:08):
In front of me.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
I wouldn't have thought about that. Okay, next month, Bailey,
is give me any male name.
Speaker 13 (11:14):
Ricky, Bobby, Stevie, Mike, uh, Eric, Bob, Robert, Gregory, John, Jerry, Jim.
Speaker 12 (11:26):
Uh Bill, Tim did better on that one.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
You came pretty close on that one.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Hey, last category is a little unfair, but we're gonna
do it anyway.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
Name any of Dave's hobbies.
Speaker 10 (11:41):
Ukulele, magic, cribbage, motorcycles, airplanes, drawing, coloring, thinking, philosophizing, giving advice.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Uh, drawing, coloring?
Speaker 6 (11:59):
Is it your churn?
Speaker 4 (12:00):
Sorry today I feel like I give her thinking though,
because that is your It is almost like a hobby,
your creative thinking.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
Okay, sure, yeah, okay, all right.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
So in the category of Dave Ryan show bits, David
got ten, Bailly, you got seven, so Dave wins that one.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
Not too awful. No, you roasted me for being really bad.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
In the category of Dave's hobby is surprisingly you both.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Got eight, she said, drawing.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
No, I took those ones away. Okay, she got without
those two in there.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
You forgot porn one. She wouldn't count lube.
Speaker 7 (12:42):
He's not a hobby.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
That's what she said.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
It's as a person.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
It depends on how you use it.
Speaker 10 (12:50):
All right.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
And then in the last category, you both did pretty
well on the male names. However, Dave did get sixteen
and Bailly got thirteen, so Dave is the winner today.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
I'm fased off combat.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Are you trying to name the member the members of
a boy band? Or was its Rickey, Johnny, Ricky, Bobby?
Speaker 6 (13:10):
What's that one?
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah? What's the song you always sing? Ricky? Bobby?
Speaker 14 (13:13):
No?
Speaker 11 (13:13):
No, no, no?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
What is that?
Speaker 12 (13:15):
Cool? Right?
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Bobby? Ricky? And if I like the girl, who cares
who you like?
Speaker 6 (13:20):
And I don't know their names?
Speaker 2 (13:23):
And Ralph was the other one?
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Okay, is it okay? Thanks for all the text messages.
We appreciate that. We will see you tomorrow live Mall
of America. I know so many people that are coming out.
I'm still worried that there's only going to be twenty
people there, but I think that's just me being paranoid.
But I would love to have you out there, and
we're give away copies of my books, and you get
there early enough, we should have a copy of my
(13:47):
book to give to anybody who wants a copy for
the Little Dave's Amazing Day. I need your help. I
need a sing along song of the day. We won't
do this tomorrow. We'll do one on Friday, but we
won't do one tomorrow. But give me a sing along
song of the day. Text it in and we'll play
one next for you to sing along with because it's
good for your mood. Text us at kd WB one
(14:08):
five three, nine two one and we'll play it next.
Speaker 13 (14:12):
I grew up listening to Dave Ryan in the Morning
Show with my mom. Now my mom is gone, and
there's a way that I connect with her a little bit,
you know, and my girls.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Now too, And yeah, I just thank you.
Speaker 15 (14:24):
Dave for creating that memory between my mom and I thought, oh, how.
Speaker 7 (14:28):
Forever the Dave Ryan Show on kd WB.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
It really just kind of speaks to the power of
radio when people talk about how you know, we've had
this connection for this long. Can I just bring up
something I want to ask you guys, whatever happens on
the future of the Morning show. Somebody said, are they
still going to do war the Roses? Are they still
gonna do No Phones for your Friday? And I said, honestly,
I hope not. And here's why. Because I don't want
(14:56):
you guys doing a bit that remind people of me,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
So if you do no.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Phone Screen or Friday and they're like, oh, Dave came
up with that, or if you do name that tune,
or if you do favorite Musical Moments or any of
these bits that I've come up, I don't want people
to listen and go, that's Dave's bit, because that wouldn't
be fair to you or them, you know. Like when
I took over, I didn't do like Steve Cochran's bits, Yeah,
(15:25):
because I didn't want people to go that's.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Not Dave's bit, that's Steve Cochran's bit.
Speaker 11 (15:29):
Jay Leno didn't do a Karnak Magnificent from Doddy Cart.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
He did not know the opportunity.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
He did his own. He did jay walking and he
came up with his own stuff. And I'm not saying
that like, hey, don't use my stuff. I'm saying do
yourself a service, and don't do people be like I
mish War of the Roses.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Go listen to it on Mojo's show.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
This is probably funnier than ours anyway. Yeah, anyway, But
I really think that's true. I don't want people to
list and go yeah. I mean, you wouldn't play the
Hollister song after I'm gone, So don't play bits that
remind people of me. Do your own thing and create
your own thing. And that's my best advice to you. Also, Yes,
(16:21):
watch your back. It's iHeart radio. Watch your back.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
No, I'm kidding.
Speaker 7 (16:24):
That's a Joke's a joke.
Speaker 10 (16:29):
Radio.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
You're fired, You're fired.
Speaker 10 (16:32):
That's our life right now.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Is the suggestion of a silence.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Hi, Hannah, good morning.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
What song you want to hear for this single long
song of the day, Hannah, Juliette.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
By Element, Such a great song.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
What do you remember about that song? Hannah?
Speaker 14 (16:57):
I just remember listening to a girl up.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
But I have four kids and they want to play
in the car constantly, and we just like singing on
a loop.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Way better than Wheels on the bus or Baby Shark.
I'm gonna say I heard that song when Chase was little,
like six years old. I'd listened to Radio Disney. I'd
pick him up in the car when i'd go visit
him in Phoenix, and we'd.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
Like, Dad, well you put on Radio Disney.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
And he loved two songs, Hamster Dance and Hey Juliet.
So you got it, Hannah oh Mand. We were all
screams singing along with that in the studio. That is
your sing along song of the day folk show. Thank you, Hannah.
(17:40):
So this guy is trying to break a world record every.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Week on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
He attempted the world record for the most cocktail sticks
snapped in a minute eighty four. But this time he
tried to break the record while at sea on a
family disney cruise. Let's listen in and see how he did.
Speaker 14 (18:03):
This was supposed to be a family vacation, but somehow
I ended up putting on a show. We were on
a fifteen day disney cruise in the middle of the Pacific.
I should probably break a world record. I'd already broke
in the one minute cocktails stick a record before, so.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I knew the technique.
Speaker 14 (18:17):
There were passengers watching, I had timers, witnesses.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
The ship had its own juggler. Even he wanted to
help me out. We counted it down thirty two, one
goat and I went.
Speaker 14 (18:25):
I started snapping as fast as I could, trying to
stand rhythm, stick after stick after stick for the full minute.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
When it ended, I had snapped eighty four. The previous
record was fifty eight. My name is David Rush, and
I tried to break a world record every week. Well, why, yeah,
they're so hard.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
I guess there's like so many schools that like a
school will get together, go let's break a world record.
What do you want to do, guys?
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Musical chairs?
Speaker 3 (18:51):
So they'll look up the world record for musical chairs
and it's like forty ga jillion people and the little
elementary school will.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Be like, well, kids, maybe we won't do that one.
Speaker 7 (19:00):
Yeah, maybe haven't you guys started to break world records
on the show?
Speaker 2 (19:03):
No we on the show we did?
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I think we did musical chairs at the Metrodome years
ago back in the nineties.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
That you did with the flag was it after nine
to eleven?
Speaker 3 (19:12):
That wasn't really a world record, but yeah, it was
just like a giant American flag out of humans holding
cardboard things. So it wasn't a world record, but yeah,
it was really really cool. So I just want.
Speaker 11 (19:23):
To know how you find out you're good at doing
something like this, Like, if let's just say the record
hadn't existed, how do you figure out you're good at.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Breaking cocktail sticks and then send it to the Guinness people.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 10 (19:33):
You don't have any other personality traits you like action.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
That is, you can't make this stuff up. It just
brought you by the Leo Agency Choose Leo dot com.
I want to mention the Mall of America show tomorrow.
We're gonna be there tomorrow from five until five, from
six until ten.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
I didn't get I didn't get much sleep last night
day neither. What happened to you.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
We were out at Ukulele Club and it went a
little longer than we usually do because you know, we
were having such a good time. And then I got
home and I was like, you know, Susan had made
zoodles with shrimp, and so I wasn't go to bed
right And I had the zoodles with the shrimp.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
And then we were watching that show, The Crash that
you turned me on. Says the documentary.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
You and Carson Bole said we have to watch the Crash.
So we watched it till probably about eleven o'clock or so,
which is about two hours past my bedtime.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
But I figure, what the hell, live it up. It's
my last week, right, so well, what did you think
of it? Or should we wait to cover that in
the dirt?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Well, no, we can cover it in the dirt, but
it's still so early in the documentary that it's there's
no evidence that points to her and trying to do
it on purpose. But that's kind of the bit, is
she tried to do it on purpose?
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Right? Yeah, you're Early're very early in the movie.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
We're very early. So yeah, it's called the crash. We'll
talk more about that coming up in a little bit.
Right now, though, we got Dave's Dirt coming up in
a second Mall of America show tomorrow six until ten,
and we're so excited. Everybody from this show will be there,
foul and will be there, Steve o Uh, Lena Intern,
John Corey Foley, Angie Taylor, Extreme, Jamie Chrisco will make
(21:07):
an appearance on the phone that I miss anybody leave,
Olsvick will be there, Wilson. Wilson's gonna be there. I
think I got everybody, So we'll we'll be doing that tomorrow.
I hope you can join us. It is somebody said
how much is it to get in? And cand I
get reserve a seat free and no so just show up.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
We've got a lot of people asking us if we
can reserve seats for them, and unfortunately we just cannot.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Just come, let's do this. I'm Katie with V.
Speaker 6 (21:42):
Today is World.
Speaker 10 (21:43):
B Day, as in Buzz Buzz World B Day, and
I feel like everyone in their mom has a memory
of bees, and it's likely not a good memory. But
I want you to dig deep into your brain think
about your memory of bees. And I'm just going to
give you a couple of bee fun facts because I
just wanted to talk.
Speaker 6 (22:01):
About bees today because it's World B Day.
Speaker 10 (22:03):
Did you know that bees have five eyes and six
legs and they can't see the color red?
Speaker 7 (22:07):
Wh What did you say? Five eyes, five eyes, and.
Speaker 10 (22:11):
Six legs and they can't see the color red.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Their glasses must be so expensive.
Speaker 10 (22:16):
Probably there are twenty thousand species of bees. That's terrifying
to me. Honey bees can only sting someone once. I
remember learning that in school, and then their stinger would
be like stuck on a kid during recess or something,
and then you would know that that bee was dead somewhere.
Speaker 7 (22:33):
I was gonna say, because then they die, I.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
Know it kind of hurts your heart.
Speaker 10 (22:37):
Bees make a buzzing noise because of their wings.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
It's their wings making sounds. Isn't that kind of Yeah?
Speaker 10 (22:49):
Yeah, And I want to hear about your little bee memories.
I have one singular one that I remember. I've been
stung by a bee, but it was like, not that bad.
But there was this one boy in daycare I think,
or like after school and he threw a peach at
a beehive once he's like, hey, guys, watch this, and
(23:11):
he threw this peach and apparently he was a world
class picture because that peach hit that beehive and all
of these bees came out and all of the kids
are running and they all just come after the kid
who threw the peach good and he got stung I
think like ten times in the face that movie. Yeah,
(23:31):
well he didn't die from them be sorry spoiler alert,
but his face swell up.
Speaker 6 (23:36):
I think his name was Joey and his face swoll up.
Speaker 10 (23:39):
If you went to Andover elementary school, you remember, I
think Joey throwing a peach at a beehive and his
face swelling up.
Speaker 6 (23:46):
That's my bee memory, David, Do you have be memory?
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I really don't have one.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
I was terrified of bees when I was a kid,
and I remember my dad and I were out shooting
guns one time and we were walking down to the
target to check and see how we did, and there
were bees everywhere in the flowers.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
And I went.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
And my dad said, did you get stung by a bee?
And I said, O most.
Speaker 11 (24:08):
I'm with you, though I was terrified. Two times been
stung by a bee. Once I was in high school.
And I guess it was on the floor in my
my bedroom. I lived in the basement, so like the
windows were weird. I guess that's how I got in
and I stepped on it.
Speaker 10 (24:20):
Oh.
Speaker 11 (24:21):
I thought I was gonna die because I didn't know
what happened. And then the other time was right here
at the Crave and right here in the West End,
and we were sitting outside unlessa than I and I
got stung and I reacted just like a punk like you.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
I was like, I'll take it out, take it out,
take it out.
Speaker 11 (24:35):
And the Crave people we came inside and they were like,
can we do anything you want us to get you
a free drink compter meal.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
I was like, it's not your fault, but I mean
free drinks. Drink then you got any b member.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
The only thing I remember was the first time I
got stung. It was one of those things where I
put my foot into a shoe and all of a
sudden something like because there was a bee sitting in it,
and it was inside the house and everything. And I
was like in shock because I had no idea what
just happened. And now all I was trying to do
was to go outside and play in the pool, and
all of a sudden I had a bee staying.
Speaker 10 (25:04):
So funny, they really do, uh, they put the fear
of God into you when yeah, they tell you about
bees as a kid, but honestly, like I like them
big fat, fuzzy bees that you see around like flowers.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Yeah, those those.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Bumble Yeah, I was gonna say, those are bumblebees that
I'm abused with those two when my garden starts to
get being in uh fuzzy.
Speaker 10 (25:25):
Yeah, do yourself a favor and look up a bumblebe
napping in a flower today.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Okay, Jen is on the phone. You've inspired Gin to
tell a bee story. Hello, Jen, let's hear your bee story.
Speaker 16 (25:35):
So it was summer. I was young, I don't know,
ten eleven maybe, and was taking a stip out of
a pop can and have stung right on the list
and my lispts got large and I will never drink
a pop can without looking inside for you.
Speaker 10 (25:52):
Yesouch, I feel like that's a universal experience as a
bee in your popcan that you end up it's either
in your mouth or stings you on the lip.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
I've never had it happen by pure j.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
I remember it happening to my aunt, and so ever
since then, I would always in the summer look in
my can before I take a sip.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
It never happened.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
It'll be pretty common. Thank you Bailey. That was the
national B Day World It is time to do Dave's
dirt on KD WUB. I will start with a prenup rumor,
because when you're exchanging money with Taylor Swift and the
money that's going back and forth here with this not
head that she's marrying, and you know he's going to
(26:32):
be broken a couple of years because you know he's anthead.
So anyway, they are deciding where to file prenup papers.
She has two billion in assets and he's got He
is worth a buck to eighty, which is not bad.
That's how he's worth he's worth ninety million. Every state
has different rules. Team Zaate speculates they will have five
(26:54):
to choose from based on Taylor's properties and his sports career.
That narrows it down to New York, Tennessee Road Island, Kansas,
and Missouri, which is home to the Kansas City Chiefs
Arrowhead Stadium. They're very smart because when you're dealing with
that kind of money, she should not have to split
half of her earnings with Travis.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
And I'm sure that he's very happy.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
He probably will never need the money if he's worth
ninety million dollars.
Speaker 10 (27:20):
Sure not.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Remember back in twenty sixteen, Kim Kardashian was held at
gunpoint and there was a bunch of jewelry stolen from
her when she was in France. While she is, her
attorney is requesting that the court force each of the
robbers pay her a token uro, which is equivalent to
one dollar and seventeen cents at today's exchange rate, because
they were found guilty and all that. But I guess
(27:42):
it's more for like justice at this point. Obviously she
doesn't like need the money by any means, so she's
forgiven the ring leader, who apparently was in his seventies
and they were found guilty back in twenty sixteen. So
she says she's satisfied with the results and that justice
has been served. But meanwhile, the Paris hotel receptionists at
that hotel also was held at gunpoint and is asking
for six hundred and fifty thousand dollars in damage, which
(28:04):
I honestly think is okay they should because what are
you doing? Don't hold people at gunpoint?
Speaker 6 (28:09):
You guys know Joey.
Speaker 10 (28:10):
Chesnut of Yore, hot dog Guy, hot dog Guy, that.
Speaker 6 (28:13):
Dude is under probation.
Speaker 10 (28:15):
What on altercation at an Indiana bar led to a
misdemeanor battery charge. He got guilty, admitting to police that
he was pretty drunk at the time, and he got
a sentence for slapping a bar patron for six months
of probation. Though, I know you're worried, but what about
the hot dog eating contest?
Speaker 6 (28:35):
Thank you? I was also worried.
Speaker 10 (28:36):
He can still compete in the hot dog eating contest,
but he can't slap anybody while he's there.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Okay, that's usually like July fourth weekend, so that's coming
up in a couple of months, exactly.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Yeah, I mentioned this to you guys off air yesterday.
Speaker 11 (28:47):
So there's a college called Glendale Community College in Arizona.
They used AI to read the graduate names during their
commencement ceremony, and I guess it ended up malfunctioning and
some students were not thrilled.
Speaker 14 (28:58):
Here's the clip, here's what's We're using a new AI
system as our reader.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Yeah, so that is.
Speaker 6 (29:10):
A lesson learned for us.
Speaker 15 (29:12):
It didn't feel sincere, and it kind of felt like
they didn't care. I would have liked a little bit
more thought to go into it, rather than pushing something
as simple as reading some names off to an AI device.
Speaker 11 (29:25):
And malfunctioned because it didn't read maybe hundreds of students' names.
And then I guess when they noticed it, they were like,
we're not running it back for you.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
So they didn't get to walk. Oh no, I don't care.
I'm walking. I've worked however, many years from my degree.
Speaker 10 (29:38):
I'm really impressed and happy that, like the younger generation,
anytime they see it AI or hear about AI, they boo,
because that's like everything on Instagram Now. If I see
something that's made with AI, I go to the comments
and just people are roasting the person for using it.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
I see that's true because you think about if you're
coming out of college or going into college, just like,
will the job that I'm interested in now be affected
by AI in another four years?
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:03):
So absolutely. I mean radio people worried about it all
the time. We are guaranteed human here on iHeart Radio,
and we don't do anything AI. But there's a lot
of radio people who are like so, but not here
on iHeart Radio.
Speaker 9 (30:17):
Op.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Boom boom boom boom bom bom, You're fired. That is
it right?
Speaker 3 (30:21):
I got a story story to you were sneezing, Gen
said a week Are you okay?
Speaker 7 (30:26):
Yeah, no, I'm fine. I just have like a sore throat.
I don't really know what's going on, but I just
haven't been sleeping well, so I'm I'm a little too.
Speaker 8 (30:34):
Well.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
This headline caught my eye because it says that Selina
Gomez has been casting a four our X rated film
Sign Me Up. No, it does say that she's been
cast in this film and it's Oscar caliber actors Kate
Blanchett and Michael Aasbender.
Speaker 7 (30:47):
I don't know who that is.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Thanks Bailey, the writer and director, described his idea and
called it X rated content because it's going to span
from the nineteenth century into the present day, predominantly focusing
on the seventies, and distributors typically release unrated films because
the X rating hints at lude pornography. But and it's
unclear what's gonna make this film X rated, But it's
predominantly focused on the seventies, meaning it might feature all
(31:09):
natural bush.
Speaker 7 (31:10):
Dave will be.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Into that huh geez story just to get there. You're
full of surprises.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Anyways, the line at the movie theater stop it.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Okay, we're gonna get in on that note.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
And he sleeps outside. Okay, right, when does it open?
Where's my lawnch yet? All right, we'll be back in
a moment. On Katie will be We're gonna play. Oh god,
here's a bit that Bailey loves that I'm not crazy about.
It's called Dave's Wheel of Girlfriends.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
We're bringing it back back well the final time.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
It will never ever happen again. Bailey will spend. She's
actually got a virtual wheel on her computer. I looked
at it yesterday, full of names of girls that I
have dated over the years. You'll land on one and
then I will tell you the story, because I tell you, Jenny,
every one of them's got a story, of course, every
one of them, from Candy, who served time in prison
for burning down the daycare that she worked at, to
(32:09):
the girl who opened up the door on her first date.
And I looked at her and I said, oh God,
please don't be her, Please don't be her, please do it?
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Was her? Yeah, it's that. That's a real story.
Speaker 8 (32:19):
What.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
She turned out to be really nice though, And I
learned that sometimes vaunt it's not about their physical appearance,
it's about what's in here. But this still wasn't it
wallet exactly. We'll be right back. I hate to dr
