Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm going to start the show with a shout out
to Denise for her thirty fifth birthday. She says, can
I get one last birthday shout out from day this morning?
There you go? Thirty five? The big three to five,
half way to seventy.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
They say this, Denise, and I want to let you
think about this for a second. They say, in every
seventy year old is a thirty five year old going
what the hell happened?

Speaker 4 (00:24):
I heard that?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Have you heard that before?

Speaker 4 (00:26):
No?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
No, In every seventy year old, there's a thirty five
year old that still lives there as a thirty five
year old going what the hell happened?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Well, don't we all feel like we're younger than we are? Actually?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I think one hundred percent. Yeah, yeah, I think one
hundred percent.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
Little I feel a little older sometimes, as far as
I'm concerned, I'm thirty.

Speaker 6 (00:42):
Okay, I feel a little older because I love to
eat tuna sandwiches with a cream soda, which is such
an old manual, is it?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (00:49):
Hey, tuna hochy from Jersey Mike's with vanilla cream. Name
the last time you've seen somebody drink off vanilla cream soda.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I don't think I ever heard the seventies I met
maybe in the seventies, I'm not sure. Hello, good morning.
It is Tuesday of my last week here. Somebody texted
a minute ago. They said the Mall of America says
it doesn't open until ten, but our show starts at six.
They will open the doors on the east side. I
think mall walkers come in at six to say.

Speaker 7 (01:13):
I think they actually do open earlier than the stores anyways,
because I would have to work there, and Bailey's work there.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Jenny used to work there, and Jenny used to work there,
and we've seen the people walking around hustling in circles.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
So you'll have no problem getting in park in the
east side ramp. Come in through the Underwater Sea World.
They used to become of Underwater Adventures and now it's
like a sea like sealac aquarium. Whatever coming through there
will be in the big rotunda, and we're very excited
about it. Who's going to be there, Who's going to
be There's going to be there, You're gonna be there,
Bailey's gonna be there, Jenny's gonna be there, Fallon will

(01:47):
be there. Rich the Boss will probably be there, Corey Foley,
Lee Volsvick, Angie Taylor, Extreme, Jamie uh Lena is going
to be there. Did I say? Fallon will be there?
And Intern John can't forget him?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Steve O.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I'm a little nervous about Steve O. And I'm gonna
tell you why. Steve O loses track of his own mouth.
And Jenny knows this because you worked with him for
a long time in the years. And I remember one
time we had a band and we were doing a
show at the basement down in Prior Lake, and we
had a band. We had I was the drummer, and
then intern John was guitar, Steve was lead vocal and
Lena played bass and we played like fun, little simple

(02:27):
songs and it was fun.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
We acted like we were a rock band.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
And I remember Steve got himself, you know, a little
tipsy before he went on stage so he would be
less nervous. He gets up on stage and he's like
and there's like, you know, families there eating with their
kids and you know that having mats of realisticks with
their ten year old or whatever, and there's like, you
know a lot of people there acting like we were
rock stars. And Steve's like, are.

Speaker 8 (02:49):
You mother Blaker's ready to mother Blake and Rock? I
said you Blake and mother Blaker's ready to Black mother
Blake Rock.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
And I'm like, oh god, And I said, Steve, why
did you do that? There was a ten year old
having Mazzirella sticks. He's like, man, I don't know. I
just kind of lost track of what I was doing.
So I worry about Steve does.

Speaker 7 (03:12):
He kind of goes into a different realm when he
starts getting excited about things. Anytime we asked him to
perform anything on the show, there was like a gloss
that went over his eyes and we made We knew
we had lost him at that point.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
It's kind of true. Anyway, come back to it.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yes, Steve, you never know what's gonna happen, but we
would love to see you there. If you can make it,
that'll be our last chance to kind of hang out.
So hopefully you can make it on Thursday at Mall
of America and with all with all the people that
are going to be there.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
My mom wants a chair. She says, can she have
a chair? He's a chair.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Well, I think there's gonna be a lot of chairs there.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
So well, She's like, what time do I need to
get there to get a chair?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I don't know that.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Literally, I'm sure you could save one for her. I'll
save a chair for your life.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, and we'll be doing we're doing a roast, so
you guys got to all have your roast rought.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I believe in you can. I be honest with you.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
The three of us, Bailey, Jenny and I talked about
this yesterday. We're nervous.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Why.

Speaker 9 (04:04):
Uh, well, one because you.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
Have some actually some people that I would have considered
funnier than us. You have Lena, you have intern John
and does an actual comedian coming.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
That's pretty much it.

Speaker 9 (04:15):
They might just outdo us.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
See, and I'm trying to convince everybody that all of
the people who are coming to celebrate you, who are
like past hosts and things, they've been sitting on on
material for years and years, and they have this one opportunity,
this one chance, get one shot, one shot.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Do not lose your chance to blow this opportunity.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Yeah, on my lifetime, you better.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
And we have to be funny every day, so I'm
not too concerned about it.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
I think you'll do great. You're a funny person. Jenny's
a funny person. Vaunt is you know, he's working in
a comedy. I worry about Steve though, and I think
Steve is gonna because my daughter Allison's gonna be there,
and Steve's gonna start in with the nerf ball jokes.
Then he's gonna start in with the multiple baby mama jokes.
And I know that's an easy target. I will say, that's.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I got to rewrite everything I've been writing.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
That's that's fair game, the baby Mama and the nerf
ball and then all the you know, I mean, Fallo
will probably get into all.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
The you know, the the the women.

Speaker 7 (05:16):
Oh yeah, probably, I think she'll get into that. But
I think, I don't know. I'm nervous about it, just
because yes, we are going up not up against, but
up there with a bunch of other people who have
been on the show who are all super super funny,
but that it's a great opportunity for all of us.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
I feel like we're going to get judged.

Speaker 7 (05:34):
Last roast of mister Dave Riot, and then I think.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
We'll do just like on the Kevin Hart roast, I
get to roast you guys back.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
No, that's not how that's okay with that.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I love getting I do.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I got a lot of horse face jokes, Jenny perfect,
I have a lot of horse face.

Speaker 7 (05:48):
I won't cry about that. And there's only a couple
of things that you might make me cry on.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
How lonely and single and childless you are.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
That's not true. None of me about this true.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
You don't want me to talk about lonely, single and childless.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
You can think about. You can talk about all that.
Just lonely you can take out. I am not lonely,
single and childless.

Speaker 7 (06:04):
Yeah, those are negative preman apozzle.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Yeah, I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Okay, good I found I found the soft spot. Bo
help me, help me write some pre Mian apostle jokes?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
How do you spell menapon?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
I think there's two us in it.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
That's all I yeah, okay, exactly, uh text messages. But
he wonders that is this going to be recorded? I
can't make it, and I'm so sad about it. Will
Hiram be there? No, Hi, Room's unable to do it.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
He is.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
He is in a care center in Whyseta right now,
and he is unable to come.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Is it a care center or a mental health.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
It is both. Actually, yes, they didn't. They they kind
of phased out straight jackets. But for Hi Room, they
have a straight jacket. So he looks adorable in it,
really does, and those wide eyes and drool.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
We're working on getting it recorded so to be announced.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
I posted a video on our Dave Ryan Show story
yesterday because people keep asking I want to watch it
on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
We're working on it. We are working on it for sure.
Coming up Dave's Dirt. We'll be back with Dave Dirt
coming up in a second on kd WUB and hang on,
we'll be right back.

Speaker 9 (07:11):
Like a full circle moment.

Speaker 7 (07:13):
Growing up, going to school, listen to KWB with Dave,
and now.

Speaker 9 (07:16):
I bring my kids to school.

Speaker 7 (07:17):
We'll miss you, David.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
The Dave Ryan Show on kd w B.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
All right, let's cover the dirt on KDWB. I like
this story. Eddie Murphy doesn't let his kids work in
showbiz until they're eighteen. His twenty four year old daughter
Bella says, he really wanted me to have a normal childhood,
which I'm very appreciative of. And I wish that Will
Smith would have followed that example. We would have never
had to listen to I whip my hair back before

(07:50):
I whipped my hair back.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
And.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
See that awful version of Karate Kids sixteen with the
little Jadenna.

Speaker 9 (07:57):
Hold on, we can grab on, Willow Smith.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
But Karate Kid with Jada Smith and Jackie Chand was
actually really good.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Okay, I'll take your word for it. I never saw it.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Okay, I didn't want.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
To see it.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Was I did see the pursuit of happiness. Wasn't his
little kid in pursuit of happiness?

Speaker 1 (08:12):
That was decent?

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah, Okay, this is why I don't like Jaden Smith.
He wore a building on his head to an award show.

Speaker 9 (08:19):
It was like a big old castle.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
It's like, you have not earned the right to be
that eccentric. There is nothing else if huh he.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Didn't pick that out.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Oh, I'm sure some designs, well, I'm sure some designers said, look,
we're a building on your head. And he is arrogant enough.
And it's funny because arrogant enough through achieving nothing of
your own is the worst kind of arrogance. Is like
somebody who wins the lottery and now they're worth forty
seven jillion dollars and now they're like, you know, they
cover themselves in manure and say, look at this. This
is very trendy right now. So anyway, Eddie Murphy doesn't

(08:50):
let his kids work in show biz until they're eighteen.

Speaker 7 (08:52):
So there was all this kind of mom drama in
a celub group involving an Astley Tisdale, Mannymore, Hillary duss
I believe Megan Trainer was involved as well.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Well.

Speaker 7 (09:00):
Well, Mandy Moore is finally address see in Ashley Taysdale's
mom group drama. I think the most important thing in
my life is being a kind person and like that
legacy of kindness, and anyone even insinuating that that might
not be the case.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
And with the company that I choose to keep is like,
is very upsetting. Okay, she kind of tiptoed around anything
right there.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
However, I do I believe she's the good one, one
of the good ones.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
It sounds like it.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yeah, I think anybody who says they make it a
priority to be nice, I don't know. I mean, I
think that's can be taking a face value.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
I've been reporting a lot about Pete Davidson and his
whole issue with Elsie Hewitt. Now there his rep is
saying that he is fully financially supporting both Elsie Hewitt
and his five month old daughter with her Scottie. That
includes rent and health insurance. But Elsie Hewitt is saying
something else. She says she's prepared to file for custody

(09:54):
and demand enforceable support until their daughter becomes an adult.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
And I wanted to, Oh, what's going on?

Speaker 9 (10:01):
Were they Did they divorce or are they just broken up?

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I don't I don't even think they were married.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
I don't think they were that No, but she posted
on her Instagram story, I'm currently trying to find an
assistant mother's helper, nanny type, just a right hand person
apply here of qualified and serious only looking at response
with resumes.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
It is kind of like I'm leaning on. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
You can't take sides. It's celebrity gossip. However, Pete also
has like had quite a few issues in his life,
so it feels as though.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
Maybe he's not being as good of a dad as
he could be.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
And I thought he was like on the up and
up because he got her name tattooed on his face
and and he got all.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
His other tatoes removed.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah that's the bone.

Speaker 9 (10:41):
Well, I've been watching two.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
Netflix has been killing it with the documentary let me
put you on the two of them. One of them
is called Stolen Baby, and it's based on the real
story of Heidi Brussard.

Speaker 9 (10:50):
She is a woman.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
She had a kid, like literally a two week old,
and her best friend spoiler alert, but it happened kidnapped
and then killed the mom.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Oh wow.

Speaker 9 (11:00):
But they found the baby, so thank god. And it
was really good on Netflix.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
The other one's called The Crash, also based off of
a true story. I think three nineteen twenty year olds.
A girl drives with them in the car six in
the morning, crashed into a building and they did a
lot of like I guess, uh, investigation on the crash,
and it seemed deliberate. So and two of the boys
that were in the car died. She did, and so
now they're trying to figure out, oh.

Speaker 9 (11:21):
Why, what happened before the crash? So many things.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
So you had a lot of time on your hands yesterday, then.

Speaker 9 (11:26):
I mean, I'm about to have a lot of time
on my hands.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Guys, I was watching you kind of told me it
was good.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
The Martin Short documentary Life is Short, and I don't
like Martin Short because he is just so like over that.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
You hate joy and whimsy and I don't.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Like Martin short, and I stopped watching Only Murders in
the Building because of Martin Short. I love Steve Martin
and slip Domes. But anyway, so I started watching it
because Vaughan said it was good, and it's actually that's
kind of a character.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
He's like a normal guy.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, but he's like, no, Hi is kind of like
his play on an over the top kind of a
Hollywood look at me. I'm kind of a famous kind
of a I don't know. So I like him a
little bit better. And Steve Martin says, if you invite
Marty to a party and Marty can't come, you canceled
the party, And I thought that was a really interesting quote.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
That's so interesting.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
Kim Bardashian was involved in some cocaine smuggling, not really.
It actually is her company because a truck driver was
sentenced to thirteen years in prison for trying to smuggle
eight million dollars worth a cocaine and a shipment of
her skins. She was not implicated in the scheme. Neither
the exporter nor importer was connected, and so in September
Border Patrol stopped the delivery truck crossing into England from

(12:39):
Europe on a ferry and an X ray of the
driver's cargo uncovered two hundred pounds Bolivian marching powder.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Marching powder.

Speaker 7 (12:47):
Okay, yeah, I got so nervous, you guys. I was
pulled for every single thing on my journey back from Bali.
I got pulled randomly to get checked before I could
board the plane. They did the bomb swiping things on
all of my stuff. My passport would never scam in
the little scanner thing, so I had to keep going
to different, like specific people to talk to them. And
my friend was just waiting, MA, and I was like,

(13:08):
I don't know. I guess I'm a suspicious.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Maybe they fit a profile. Maybe it's like there's a
certain people that I don't know. I was a smuggler
that meet a profile. Yeah, a blonde one with but
or maybe they just want to spend more time with you,
like I would like to spend more time with you.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah, let me start swapping.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
I love a good pat down, so it was fine
for me. Kendall Jenner and Jacob Alordi apparently have gotten
a lot more serious.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
They went on vacation to Hawaii, and apparently that vacation
changed everything that they got super close. It made their
connection stronger, and now it's becoming a lot more serious
than she expected.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Well they're both tall, so I guess that's something the
match made in heaven. Yeah, and now it's they're all,
you know, double dating. So Kylie Jenner, tim Otash and
Kendall Jenner and Jacob Alordi they're all on a double
date in La Wow.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
And that's the dirt on kd WB, it's going good
so far. Bailey's most of the way through her first
doughnut of the day, so.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
I love you Bailey.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
All right, coming back in a second with your sing
along song of the day. Always ask for your suggestions.
What do you want to sing along with? What sounds good?
Send me a text and let me know and we
will try to play your sing along song of the day.
Coming up next on kd double Ub on the Phone
is April.

Speaker 9 (14:22):
Good morning, April, good morning. What are you.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Doing in life? What are you doing? You're going to school?
Are you taking up a scrap pooking? What is the latest?
Give me the update on your live April you know.

Speaker 10 (14:34):
I'm just getting ready for the long commute from Cottage
Girl to downtown Minneapolis for work.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
And you listen to Katie WB all the way there.
Absolutely okay that your phone broke up a little bit,
but I think that I think I heard I think
I heard the depositive. Yes, April, thanks for listening. What
song can I pay for you to sing along with?

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Today?

Speaker 10 (14:53):
So in honor of my favorite spoof song that Dave
Ryan did a long time ago, I want to hear
Will Smith getting jiggy with it.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah, getting jiggly with it And it was all other
names for boobs and it was like butterballs something that
Butterballs was the only one that I can remember.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
It was not it was not one of my better songs.
I'm impressed.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
And I remember I was going to sing it at
Star Party and I was trying to memorize the words
and I could not. I could not memorize the words.
So I think I held a card in my hand
to sing it at Star Party. So April, thanks for
the memory. We appreciate it. And here's your song.

Speaker 11 (15:39):
David's Kyle from Saint Paul, A long time listener, been
listening since I was nine when you went on the
air writing a school bus taking kids to school or
being one that goes to school, I should say, knowing
now that I am now a bus school bus driver
taken them to school, We've come full circle. We have
congratulations your entire thanks for all the great memories.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Also, happy fiftieth birthday to Cat five. Oh wow, sit down.
We're sending over some anti coagulant blood pressure medicine for you.
It's on its way. Hang on, Cat, sit down. Any
celebrity birthdays today? Of note Sam Smith? I think Sam Smith.

(16:24):
I think I saw that on the thirty thirty five
years old.

Speaker 9 (16:26):
I don't know Sam Smith.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
It's Michael Chay's birthday, he's forty three. It is Sam
Smith's birthday, he's thirty four, thirty four.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
It's pretty close. Okay, good, let's get right into you
can't make this stuff. One on one point three kdwb
YU brought to you by the LEO Agency. Believe it
or not, has been twenty years since TSA launched that
confusing three to one one liquid's rule. Remember that one.

(16:55):
So but now here's what they're saying. They're saying, you
can't really bring for example, protein shakes. They got to
be three point four ounces or less. But rotisserie chickens.
This is an official social media post from TSA. They
say a protein's you're concerned pack of rotisserie chicken or
twelve I'm not joking. They said, you do that they

(17:19):
chicken press, actually chicken press. Yeah, they said as many
as you can fit your carry on. That sounds like
a challenge. The comments were filled with real and AI
images of people imagining all the rotisserie chickens they could bring,
and some jokes. One person said I'm hollowing out my
rotisserie chicken filling them with protein shakes. Good bit, and
another said real ones marinate their chicken with protein shakes

(17:40):
to get the best of both worlds. If you want
to have some fun. The TSA has a what can
I bring tool on their website and we.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Actually did this a couple of months ago.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
I'd list an item and then you would tell me
whether you can bring it on a on an airplane. Now, yeah,
here are the things that are allowed. Whole watermelons that
are they are allowed? Ye, filled, you could use a
watermelon as a weapon. Not giving you any idea one
time and it'd be easy to dodge. And I'm going
to tell you why, because you would see if Bailey
had one as a weapon trying to hijack the airplane,

(18:09):
you'd see her heft it up over her head.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
You'd have time to dodge, and I fall backwards after
it gets so.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah, another one.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
You can bring live lobsters in a clear, sealed, spillproof container,
live fish in water, frozen breast, milk and ice packs
in any quantity as long as they're fully frozen at screening,
whole pies and cakes, cremated remains in a screenable container
makes sense. And bowling balls and bowling pins, which I'm
kind of surprised because you could definitely wield a bowling

(18:38):
pin as a weapon.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Wait, better than a watermelon.

Speaker 9 (18:40):
But the other day we had a.

Speaker 6 (18:42):
Story about the dude that couldn't bring this is oscar
or a trophy on the plane, and that's the truth. Yeah,
so how can you not bring an oscar or a
trophy like that? But you could take a whole watermelon
sharp edges.

Speaker 7 (18:53):
Yeah, and you're also able to hold it as a
weapon and versus seven doble just like chuck a watermelon.

Speaker 9 (18:58):
You know, I mean, anything could be a weapon when
you get think about it.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
It's your breath for example. All right, that's why you
can't make this stuff up. Brought to you by the
Leo Agency Choose Leo dot Com plugging the show coming
up this weekend. Thanks for all the people who are
telling me they're going to go. Kate rat It's just
sent me a text a minute ago.

Speaker 4 (19:17):

Speaker 2 (19:22):

Mall of America. I know you'll be busy working and
saying hi to people, but I can't wait to celebrate
you with a radio emoji.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Thank you, Kate.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
She sings Jello christ Yeah she does.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Maybe we can get her to sing Jello even though
it's not Thanksgiving whatever.

Speaker 7 (19:40):
No, that's really putting the pressure on her in front
of well, actually she's in the star spangled banner.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
She'll do it, She'll do it.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Yeah, see you. I hope to see you at the
live broadcast. I will have my book there and we're
not selling them, we're just giving them out.

Speaker 5 (19:53):

Speaker 2 (19:54):
It's like my going away present to you. I don't
know how many or how long it's going to last,
so I'd say get there earlier. But you know, if
you can't come until nine o'clock, come at nine o'clock.
We're still gonna be there at nine o'clock. You can't
come till nine thirty, come at nine thirty, we're gonna
be there till ten.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
And if you can only be there from six to
six forty five, then we'll see you then.

Speaker 1 (20:12):

Speaker 2 (20:12):
You don't have to come for the whole thing, and
we would love to have you out there Rotunda Mall

Kay, Bryan, I'm gonna miss you so much.

Speaker 12 (20:26):
You deserve this more than any DJ I know, and
I don't know a lot of that, but you deserved.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
This so much.

Speaker 12 (20:33):
I'm just gonna miss you so much. It's been listening
since ninety three. Your voice is truly something to remember.
God bless have a wonderful retirement.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
If it's your favorite, I hop server.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
My favorite Dave memory was when he took me and
my husband up on his plane and I blindfolded my
husband beforehand, so it would be a surprise, and the
second here heard Dave's boys, I'm so excited. Honestly, hearing
Dave's voice while you're unable to see your surroundings could
either mean I'm surprised or the beginnings of the true

(21:10):
crime documentary. For him, it turned out to be the
first one.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
That's funny, Good morning gave Ryan.

Speaker 13 (21:17):
I just wanted to share one of my fondest memories,
and that was being invited to be probably the worst
almost co host there ever was when you guys did that,
and getting to see the studio you Jenny fallon web
guy Mike, and just seeing the place that all the
magic came from every morning. Thanks for sharing your life
with us and making us feel like a part of

(21:39):
that family.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Love you guys, Love you back.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Thanks for those Appreciate that. All Right, coming up, we're
gonna do Jenny's been on Reddit. What'd you find on Reddit?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Anything good?

Speaker 7 (21:47):
I think this will appeal to Vaught because we all
know he has the taste buds of a five year old.
So we're going to talk about what the version of
chicken nuggets. Wanting chicken nuggets for dinner instead of what
your parents actually cooked but in different countries.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Okay, gotcha, We'll do that next on k d W B.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Sasday Medica say Yes Day now, n say hit this
way hit to.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Say you know what you never do is a DJ
answer the phone calls live on the radio. But I
guess we got to talk to somebody on the phone.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Hi, Stephanie, Dave what.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
I'm just not.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
Happy you're retiring.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
I'm telling you I'm not happy for you, and I'm gonna.

Speaker 10 (22:33):
Tell you what.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
Oh Okay, I drive forty five.

Speaker 10 (22:37):
Minutes to work and I listened to your voice. Okay,
I cannot do it.

Speaker 9 (22:42):
I cannot drive to work.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Without listening to you.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
So you know what, You've got to stay another five
more years.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
I can't retire for five years.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
I can't drive to work without you.

Speaker 10 (22:52):
So, no, you can't retire. A pair of selfishness in
my part.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
Wow, it is really think about it yourselfish day.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Sorry, but I just you know, I love all the
other guys on your should but I just can't do
it without you.

Speaker 10 (23:07):
So can you please stand on.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
The five years?

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Well no, that's a really good point though. Yeah, yeahs
out there that.

Speaker 12 (23:15):
You're just gonna have to figure something out.

Speaker 6 (23:17):
Because we're just not going to be able to work
without you, because you're driving to work.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
That's what makes my day going to work.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
All right, I'll ride with you into work. I will
meet you in your driveway every morning. I'll ride with
you into work. I will do some dumb jokes. I'll
sing some songs, we'll do some trivia. It'll be a
great time. Step Okay, you'll get over it. What'd you
save one?

Speaker 9 (23:35):
I said, Steph, you'll get over it after two days.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yeah, two days later, you know, Susan. Susan said that
she Susan brings me down to earth. She's like, enjoy
all the attention now because next week, ain't nobody going
to care?

Speaker 7 (23:47):
And I was like, oh wow, you don't have to
start posting like thirst traps on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
No, he doesn't.

Speaker 10 (23:54):
He will always care.

Speaker 9 (23:55):
He does not have to do that drinking water.

Speaker 7 (23:58):
No, flex your biceps every once in a while. Then
you'll stay relevant.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
I'll do that.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
It's works.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Jephany, love you, thanks for calling in, Thanks for listening.

Speaker 7 (24:07):
Love you too, Dave always okay, bye.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Jenny's been on Reddit.

Speaker 7 (24:15):
If you are a parent, you probably have dealt with
this before. Where your kid doesn't want what you cooked
for dinner. They just want chicken nuggets. So we're asking
reddit parents and other countries in the US, what is
your kid's equivalent of I don't want that, I want
chicken nuggies. So this person said, I grew up in
the Philippines. My kids reject whatever I cook and just
want plain rice.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
With soy sauce.

Speaker 7 (24:34):
I spend fifty minutes on a dobo and they're over
there eating sad rice. Another person said, here in Mexico,
my seven year old wants butter on bread or he
wants scrabbled eggs, and that's it.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Isn't that funny?

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (24:48):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Because you got to figure every culture, every country, he's
got their things like that.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I don't want that.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
This doesn't say a country, but maybe we know based
off of poutine.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Is that like a Tunish thing?

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (24:58):
It's crazy bravy and something, isn't it?

Speaker 5 (25:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (25:01):
So okay, yeah, yeah, Bailey's right. Canadian.

Speaker 7 (25:03):
They say that their daughter wants it every single night.
That's all that she'll ever eat instead of whatever they made.
Another person said, I also grew up in Mexico. I
always am asked for a Caesadia and chocolate milk, which
I feel like actually feels more variety than.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Like chicken nuggets.

Speaker 9 (25:19):
H it's just weird.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
It depends on what you put in it.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
Another person said, when I was working in a shelter
in Guatemala, the kids usually wanted tamales.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
That's all they ever ever would.

Speaker 7 (25:30):
Eat was Tomali's. But if you get some like authentic tomores,
they're so good.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Not my vibe.

Speaker 6 (25:37):
I used to date a Guatemalan girl and anytime i'd
go to her family's house, I'd make sure I ate
something before and so when which is such a bad
thing to do with her, mom will be like you
don't want to eat, and I'd be like, no, I ate,
But that's not what you're suposed to do. You're supposed
to be like, of course, mom, No.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
I had my first tomale probably last year, and I
didn't realize that you don't eat the outside.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
No, that you peel the corn off.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Yeah, it's dumb. And I was like, this isn't edible
at all.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Oh no, you know it's not.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
No, really, I agree, like authentic tomaly's. I had a
friend named Lorenzo in Phoenix, and that guy would bring
me to Molly's is like I'd never had one that
wasn't made of taco bell.

Speaker 7 (26:11):
Yeah. Another one said, I when we lived in Poland,
the kids wanted nals nikki and pirogi.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
All the time. I have no idea what that first
saying it is.

Speaker 7 (26:20):
And we let them sometimes, but put salad or meat
on their plates too, and we made them meet that.
Would you would your parents force you to eat food
that you didn't want to growing.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Up fifty fifty?

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (26:30):
Because I grew up in the era of like you
eat what's on your plate, or you don't leave the
dinner table.

Speaker 9 (26:34):
See I was fifty to fifty.

Speaker 6 (26:36):
I think my parents are aging out of that because
now I have two younger sisters, one sixteen, ones ten,
and they if they don't want whatever my parents cook,
they can have chicken nuggets or like fish sticks an alternative.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
With me, it was like pick and choose.

Speaker 12 (26:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (26:49):
Last one is in Australia, they're just like US Americans.
They also say that the kids just want their chicken nuggies.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Gotta have the nuggies.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
I love that, all right. A couple of shout outs.
First of all, once you into this has my amazing
wife and Dave's biggest fan, Catherine. It's her fiftieth birthday today.
Love you babe. Also Amber from Grantsburg, Wisconsin. They got
a really cool drive in over there, and I've been
there a couple of times. She's thirty one, Happy birthday,
and there's one more and I can't find it. So

(27:20):
I'll try to find Oh no, I'll fight a little
bit later on. And also, shoot, now I've lost track.
I lost track of what I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Oh, I know what it is.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Somebody said, did you invite Jonah Murray to the Last Day?
Bailey was wearing a Jonah Murray shirt yesterday in a video,
and Joana Murray commented on it, said, your style is
getting better.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Yeah, that's nice. He lives in Nashville now, so I
assume he'll be in Nashville.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
Oh is that why you said that? I was okay,
and I saw that it was confused.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
I mean, yeah, my fashion is not any better. I
was just wearing a Jonah Moray exactly, very comfortable.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Hey, I've been talking about this for the past week
or so. I've got a bunch of these children's books
Little Dave's Amazing Day, and every day I asked for
a daycare or you know, like a children's clinic or
whatever that targets kids like two to five years old.
And if you got a bunch of two to five
year olds, that's kind of the wheelhouse for my book,
Little Dave's Amazing Day. It's a really cute children's book,
and the kids love the pictures because Little Dave is

(28:17):
kind of obnoxious and messing and slopping and silly, and
kids giggle at the book. And so we're giving away
boxes of like twenty five of these and my wife
drove like all over the Twin Cities from like Blame
to Apple Valley yesterday given away boxes of these books.
So call Vaunt at six five one nine eight nine
kt able to be and then let us know where

(28:39):
you are, and you know the daycare name and whatever
in the phone number. We'll send Susan out on a
delivery run, probably later on today.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Will you nap while I'm napping? Six nine eight nine.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Kt able to be. I got ukulele club tonight too.
Are you coming to ukulele Club?

Speaker 3 (28:56):
No?

Speaker 4 (28:56):
No, I wish I could. Why are you not? I'm
supporting me anymore? You guys plan the things it's fine.
It's I've got a banquet tonight that I'm going to bank.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (29:07):
Bailey has so many more things on her schedule than
we ever will be able saying.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Things and people are like, hey, what are you doing
right now? And I'd be like, do you have time?
Sit down? I have all of these things I'm doing
right now, and they're like, well do this instead. I can't.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
But I feel like a lot of people will come
to Ukulele Club because people were asking me about it,
saying like where is it?

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Because I want to come because it's the last ukulele club.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
It is the last ukulele club.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yes, we're going to be in Purgatory pre Creek Park
tonight at six thirty.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
May me chili.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
It is going to be kind of chilly. Is going
to be rainy and chili tonight.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
I don't think it's supposed to rain really.

Speaker 7 (29:40):
I think it's going to clear up a little bit
later today, but it's only gonna be in the high
like upper fifties, so that's fine.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
I enjoy doing outdoor activities with like fifties sixty degrees.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Let me call Patty from Ukulele Club and make sure,
we're going to be there tonight.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Hold on, like she's in charge of the location.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yes, she has kind of in charge of the location.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
He needs to get those like weird spam people out
of our Facebook group.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
I don't think she knows how to do that.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
I don't. I don't think so either.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
I wouldn't know. Ass people like want to buy a
T shirt and I'm like, this is spam. It's awful.
Well what kind of T shirt? It says, Daisy clely
clo A.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Yeah, thanks for answering, Patty.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Some people have to work, some people have to lives.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Yeah, okay, she not have a voicemail.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Yeah, hell all right, Purgatory Crowd Creek Park tonight and
we're doing you Lately Club there six thirty until eight
or so.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
We're a hoodie. Yeah, it's gonna be chilly.

Speaker 9 (30:32):
All right.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
We'll be back in a second with lyric Shuffle and
more of the Dave Ryan in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
