And I'm going to miss him and so many other
people and I can't name them all, but I'm going

in from the beginning. Yeah, that's true.

It is Dave and Jenny and Bailey and Vaunt all
together for one last time today. I want to give
a shout out to everybody who came out to Mall
of America yesterday. We had such a great time. It
was surreal and so much fun. And I hope we
get a chance to say hi and get a selfie.
And I really try to get to as many people
as I can. I know I didn't get to everybody,
but I really did try. And thank you for coming out.

Yeah, And because I've always thought for years, like my
last day, I always like pictured like, you know, writing
down the elevator with Allison and her kind of looking
like she used to come in to work with me
when she was a little girl. She would come into
work like five years old. She wear her little Elmo
backpack and she would sit on the floor and color
or do puzzles, and she'd be.

Like, can I go get a doughnut?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
So Lee Olswick would walk her down to the deli
and get her a donut. And then Carson would come
in when he was about the same agent. He'd sit
underneath the table where we work in the old studio
across the hall, and he would watch videos on his phone,
and then Chase would come in. And that's what inspired
Chase to get into broadcasting, was watching his dad. And
now he's Chase go lightly on Kate. You can follow

it was important for them to be a part.

on your retirement after an incredible thirty three years on

everything you've accomplished and all the people whose lives you've
touched over the years. One of my favorite memories that
you tell me about all the time is when I
was around eleven years old and I was sitting in

the studio at six in the morning or so dropping
muffin crumbs everywhere while you were trying to work. Memories
like that mean so much to me, and I know
you've created countless memories for your listeners during their drives
to work and school. Thank you for showing us what
hard work, passion, and dedication look like every single day.

We were at Universal Studios in Florida, and Beth used
to live in Orlando, so I picked her up and
she would come by the broadcast from the studios down there,
and somebody brought in muffins. And there's Beth sitting on
a stool that was way too high for her her
legs and little like little white sneakers that were filthy,
and she's like swinging her legs back and forth, eating
muff and crumbs everywhere. Eleven years old, totally oblivious to

the mess she's making. This so adorable, so adnorable.

know it. But she is so sweet and she has
put up with I mean, she was one when I
started here, and she grew up with hearing her dad
on the radio, and I think, you know, you get
to a point where it's like kind of embarrassing because like,
is that your dad on the radio. Yeah, But she

did the Hollister song, and she did a bunch of
other bits here and there, and she was just great.

Congratulations on your amazing career you've had, working your whole
life in radio, doing something you love, inspiring people, making

Congratulations on your much deserved retirement. I'm so proud of you,
but I cannot wait to see what you do in
your retirement life and spend more time and spend some

A whirlwind last few days, so he apologized for being
late sending that over, and I was like, buddy, as
long as I got it by Friday, I don't kill.

He was on a tour with an artist that I'm
not going to name because I don't want to embarrass
the artists because I don't know whether they're here that
they're a great artist, and they just had a really
run of bad luck. So they went to Europe for
a seven date concert tour. Every date was canceled. Every
date was canceled, even though they were there for twelve days,
because the artist was not able to get a visa.

So Carson went all the way to Europe and took
all the gear and all the arrangements and flights and
meals and hotels and everything, and they never did a
single show.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Such a bummer. I just felt so bad for the artists.
I felt so bad for Carson.

So we got a lot of texts Dave saying that
Chase sounds just like you.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
That's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, it's very much like you.
