Speaker 2 (02:47):
Okay? I have a presentation. Oh sorry, perfect practice. I
have a presentation later this morning. That's why I'm all fancy,
and I wanted to quick say hi, Dave.
Speaker 9 (02:56):
H right, I've been listening to you since I was
a little Kid and like the Rain. I introduced that
to my husband this year. He's like, what what are
you talking about? Like, is it Dave Ryan Classic? Who
is his only single? And I'm just curious. Do you
still get money from iTunes?
Speaker 4 (03:12):
The funny thing is it's available for ninety nine cents
on iTunes and we've made probably thousands of dollars. But
I have no idea how to get it off of iTunes.
If you can figure it out, I'll split it with you.
I mean, seriously, you can buy the song for ninety
nine cents. No, and even Steve, who can crack anything,
he wasn't able to figure it out either. So really, yeah,
well yeah, send me an email. If you figure it out,
(03:32):
I'll split it with you.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
What if it's like forty thousand dollars, I just gave
away twenty thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
They don't need to know that.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
You don't need to know that.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Thank you, thank you, yeah, thank you?
Speaker 1 (03:43):
All right?
Speaker 7 (03:44):
All right, Oh say okay, all right, I'm in this vicinity,
so I'm gonna come over here. All right, tell us
your name Jasline jazzin question?
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Story? What do we got? Story? All right? Dave?
Speaker 10 (03:55):
I like, so many people here have been listening to
you since young child, childhood. I have so many memories
of you. My first one I ever met you was
at Dad's in drag here at Planet.
Speaker 9 (04:07):
Hollywood back in the day, trying to.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Win in sync tickets. Did not win, but that's okay.
Speaker 10 (04:14):
It was an incredible memory from that Last Chance Summer
Dance to Booty Cruise when I became an adult, and
all of the things.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
I remember her on Booty Cruise you probably do.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
She got drunk and hit a stripper in the head
with a bottle.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Sounds like me, but no, I didn't know that that
was not me that time.
Speaker 10 (04:35):
But I just want to say thank you so much
for getting so many of us Minnesotans and people all
over through hard times and giving us entertainment in the morning,
being a reason to wake up, and just being there
with your voice. And I would just want to say that,
like you're the Casey case Of of my generation. We're
all going to remember you foreverment.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Wow, you know it's it's it's weird, though, I will
tell you because I don't.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
I don't really quite get it. You know, we do
the show and it's like, you know, I'm looking at
four of my friends, and you forget.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
I don't forget, but I.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Don't quite comprehend that there are, you know, so many
people who are listening that might be having a bad
day or a good day, or you know, a surgery
that day, or mom's not doing well, or they just
you know whatever. That that radio does that and radio
is so powerful. And even after I'm gone, you know,
katiewb is still going to be here to you know,
to get you through those days, you.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Know, good and bad. So thank you very much. I
really appreciate that. Thank yes, thank you.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
All Right, I'm gonna move to the side.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Jenny's doing questions.
Speaker 7 (05:38):
Hey, you have your hand up, so I'm coming over here.
All right, stand on up. Tell us your name.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Hi.
Speaker 11 (05:43):
My name is Riley, Okay, Riley. I've been listening since
sixth grade. But I have a cool story. I play
calls soccer out in South Dakota, and all my teammates
from from Ireland and Germany. So as we're going to
teach our German friends a little bit of English. As
we're going from Mitchell, South Dakota Rapids say on a
four and a half hour bus ride, we played War
of the roses for about three hours day.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Yes, and you're saying that that's how they learned English,
that's how they got better for sure.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Whoah, so they were they Here's some of the words
they might have learned. Fong, yeah, booty, make the stoner,
condom stoner and wet wet wet wet.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yes, that's the bosses, doss wet wet.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 12 (06:31):
All right, I'll move over this way.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I'm gonna come in. I'm going to scoot right in
front of.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
You and let me scoot trade pass down, school pass,
all right, And what's your name?
Speaker 11 (06:40):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, good, Nope, you're standing up. Come on, girls, it's
your time. Shine.
Speaker 8 (06:43):
Hi.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
My name's Kay. I listened to you my entire life.
But my one fun memory of you is meeting you
twenty five years ago. I was supposed to shadow the
morning show at Cities ninety seven, but I met you
because you were in the vicinity and you were handing
out bubble gums cigar because Carson had just been born.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Wow, Like I have a picture of that, and I'm gonna.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
Email you, but like, I just remember, Hey, you want
to scary my kid was born and you.
Speaker 13 (07:11):
Were so excited and wow, I remember that. Thank you,
thank you years, thank you for that wonderful memory with me.
Speaker 12 (07:21):
So thank you.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Yeah, Carson is twenty five years old. Now wow, he'll
be here later. He just got back. He was on
a tour, a tour that did not go well with
an artist that I won't name, but it didn't go well.
They did a seven day tour in Europe and every
single show was canceled because the artist could not get
a work visa. So Carson was like over in Europe
for seven days, like no, maybe twelve days for seven shows.
(07:44):
And he just got here last night. And I woke
him up this morning. I said you want to come,
and he's like, oh, come later. I'm like okay, okay, fine,
We're gonna take a break. We'll take a quick break.
We'll be back with more. What's coming up on the show, Jenny,
anything good?
Speaker 7 (07:57):
Well, get ready because the roast of Day Ryan is
happening very shortly. We're all nervous for a few people
that are going to be up here on this stage.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Intern John right here until John walked in.
Speaker 12 (08:12):
We got.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Everyone all right, We're gonna bring them all up on
stage a little bit later on and we'll be right
back on.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
It's like a full circle moment.
Speaker 7 (08:29):
Growing up going to school as syndicate W and B
with Dave, and now I bring my kids to school.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Well miss you, David The Dave Ryan Show on kd
w B.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Why back at Mall of America with the Dave Ryan
Show after thirty three years?
Speaker 6 (08:49):

Speaker 1 (08:50):
And getting the RV and and a sleep late.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
There's like, there's shows that I want to watch ride
the motorcycle, but probably by next week I'll be so
I'll probably just you know, come back next week.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
No, he might.
Speaker 7 (09:03):
I already told them I'm changing my number because I
know in a week he's gonna be like, Hey, Johnny,
what's she doing?
Speaker 2 (09:08):
What are you up to?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Anything coming up on the show? Jenny?
Speaker 2 (09:11):
There is no show just yeah, anything good?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
What's coming up on the show? What are we doing?
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Ja?
Speaker 7 (09:15):
Well, in just a short brief moment, we are going
to get into the roast of Dave and I am
very nervous and excited at the same time because these
people are about to get vicious.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
And by these people I mean intern John and Steve.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
So the way I arranged the lineup of this was
very strategic because I can't have two crazy people right
next to each other.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I don't know they're here somewhere. Fallon just got here.
Speaker 7 (09:35):
She's here, she's looking out, she's looking out beautiful ready
for the Jason Show.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Oh my god, that's so nice. Sort of fit us
in her schedule? Can I shout out?
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Real quick? What up though?
Speaker 3 (09:45):
For bringing us these delicious donuts? Did you guys have
their donuts so good? I have these specialty donuts usually
they have like their ice cream infused. We couldn't bring
those today because we don't have ice But you know,
now you gotta.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Go and get them from What up though?
Speaker 11 (09:58):
Well?
Speaker 2 (09:58):
And it's what up?
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Like with it's what was it? W U d U
D d U P? And then do just look look up?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
What d d you you a? Can you spell?
Speaker 6 (10:08):
No?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I was born in Jersey. I went to school in Jersey.
Thanks for coming out. We're gonna do the roast coming
up in a few minutes, just.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
A few minutes.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Yeah, okay, we're.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Gonna get ready for that.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
I think almost everybody is here for that one.
Speaker 7 (10:21):
Do you want to do our little extreme Jamie thing
first or after the roast?
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I think we do it now. Let's get Jamie up here.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
And do this. Now me wherever you are, come back
up on, staye Jamie.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
So I'm gonna need a little setup. I'm gonna grab
the wireless micropher.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
Yeah, here's this. You gotta put these headphones on as well.
There you go, turn the my ja little thing on.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Conversation with Bell and he's like, what's going on, guys,
it's your time to perform, Jamie. You got your back? No,
you're gonna be wearing.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
That you I don't have he doesn't have the speedo.
Speaker 14 (10:53):
Da Hey, in case everyone forgot my name, it's right here.
Speaker 7 (10:57):
Nothing says he has a tattooed. Yes, gave you the
name extreme Jamie was Dave.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Dave did okay? Can I change the.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Least you do? You need to change what he needed
to change out of. I was just gonna put a
shirt and do your thing. We'll watch.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Yeah, go ahead, well, Dave will watch. The funny thing
is Jamie used to be young and cute. I mean,
look at him now, but he used to be young
and cute. And I remember one day when Jamie was
young and cute, and I'm gonna change a twink he
was back when Jamie was a twink, Jamie.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Don't you can say that?
Speaker 1 (11:30):
I can say twin. What are they gonna do?
Speaker 3 (11:32):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah, Dave's gay. He can say twing. I can say what.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
So uh we we We did a bit called the
All Gay Half Day Fishing Trip with Jamie. So we
rented a boat like a pontoon boat. We had all
gay guys on the boat and Jamie. We all went
out fishing and some of them were actually really good.
They were there for the fishing, but the rest were
watching Jamie dance in his speedo because he was a
(12:00):
cute little twink.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
All right, so when he changes, here's here's what we're
gonna do in vonn might I might need your help
with this? No, And I wish we had an area
on the stage. We should have planned this a little
bit better, but we really didn't. But I think we're
probably gonna do it right here.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
So we could play a song quick. If you want
a little set up time, we.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Can maybe do that.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Let's play a song and we'll move one of the
tables back because Jamie is going to do an extreme
Jamie stunt, like he hasn't all there.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
He is like he hasn't done in years and years
and years.
Speaker 7 (12:28):
His shirt says Extreme for anyone who can't see on
the stream and isn't here right now.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yay Ryan TV on YouTube.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
We'll do that coming up next live but Mall of America.
Right We're live Mall of America and we are here
until ten o'clock this morning. We're also on YouTube. It
is the Dave Ryan Show Farewell Live Show. I appreciate
you all showing up to do this. I really wasn't
sure that anybody would show up. I was just telling
(12:54):
Lee Wolsbick that somebody in the building said, what if
nobody shows up?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
And I'm like, oh, well, but you did, so thank
you very much. I love you. Appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
You may remember a young man on the show hairless
twink Jamie. Oh, I'm sorry Extreme Jamie. So Jamie, how
you doing. I'm doing good.
Speaker 14 (13:12):
This is I'm more worried because now I'm older, that
the injury could be long.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Last scene, well, this is not really an adventure. We
did have Jamie.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
He was log rolling one time for Still Water Days
and he like fell and broke his tibia or something
like that.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
And then another time we had Jamie ride a bicycle
off of a high dive like three meter board. So
Jamie rode a bicycle off the three meter board and
then his crotch has never been the same. But you
know it's bicycle seats. What are you gonna do? So
what's gonna happen this time? Jamie's you're going to You're
going to bob in a bucket of milk, but you're
(13:50):
not bobbing for apples. You're gonna bob We're gonna hold
him up here. These are chicken feet. These throw the
camera the camera, chicken, These are chicken feet.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
To go that far?
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
That's a chicken foot. There you go.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
You have one yummy.
Speaker 12 (14:07):
That's for you to take home a little breeze and
take that home.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
He'll sign it later.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
We're gonna fill the the the bucket, it's a big
like it's a like a photo bin. So we're gonna
fill this up. This is gonna take a while and
fill it up with two gallons of milk.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
We played a song and stood it in play, but no, no, no,
he wanted to do it live.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
This was the point he just I don't think realized, No,
it's a it's a shame. This won't be on the
on the YouTube stream, it won't be on camera. You
turn the camera sideways.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Pretty he's pretty good at his job right here.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Okay, So Jamie. The last time Jamie left the show
in about two thousand and three or so, two thousand two.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Wow, And it should have been Jackson that left, but
instead it was Jamie.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Did I say that?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Okay, all right, here we go. We're gonna take the
chicken feet. Here are the chicken feet, delicious, delicious. We're
gonna dump them in there.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
There they go. All right, Jamie, do your best.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
We're gonna have you bob for this is not the
best radio friendly bit, but you can visualize this or
seat on YouTube. You're gonna bob for chicken feet and
for everyone that you pull out of there.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Jenny will give you a slap on the ass. Oh
hell yeah, So that's kind of cool. All right, you're ready,
all right, Jamie, here we go, shirts coming up. All right,
here we go, good luck, get in there, get in there,
go and here he goes, and here he goes, okay,

Speaker 2 (16:09):

Speaker 1 (16:15):

over the mic. Yeah you another one, Jamie, come on,

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Yeah, all right, Jenny, get over there and give me
a couple of slaps on the ass. There's a go Okay,
how was that, Jamie? Tell me all about your bobbing
for chicken feet in the about two gallons of milk.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
Lee?
Speaker 1 (18:07):

Speaker 2 (18:08):
She was on in the crowd a second ago. Oh,

be on TV. I don't need you people, So.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Uh, grab a chair right next to Bailey over there.
And so Lee was on the show Lee Balls, Bick,
le Vallsmick. Lee was on the show from ninety three
till about ninety nine or two thousand or so. Ye
and and Lee saw the early stages of the show
(18:43):
when everybody hated me because I replaced Steve Cochran. No,
they did know, they did, and uh and Lee was
very patient until she wasn't. And then but Lee lost
her patience with me one time. And I'm gonna see
if you remember this story.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
I know it's very upset with you.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
We were we went to a very fancy hotel for breakfast,
and it was for an Easter Seals meeting. So we're
meeting about Easter Seals and very important charity. And so
I didn't know that it was just supposed to be
me and Lee and the Easter Seals woman. So I
invited Extreme Jamie a bunch of other idiots from the
Morning show. So Lee sat at a table over here,
(19:21):
all the important people, yeah, and me and Extreme Jamie
sat at a table over here. And then we started
getting goofy, and I said, I'm gonna demonstrate on you.
So well, here's what happens. So I said, Jamie, I'm
gonna show you a funny trick. Jamie puts your forehead
down on the table. So go ahead and put your
fore head down on the table. Now, pretend this is
a bat of syrup. Now it's not. It's a donut.
But I said, now there you go.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
So what's he gonna do? We can't stand up, and I'm.
Speaker 15 (19:45):
Watching this from the other table, going this is gonna
be a disaster.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
What are you doing?
Speaker 1 (19:50):
And so somebody thought that was funny.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
So they put a coffee cup on and I won't
do it all the way, but they put a coffee
cup on his back. And now he's got two things
that we're giggling and he's trying to take So I
take the coffee cup off, and Jamie thought he took
everything off. So Jamie sits up and sir up everywhere
all over this expensive hotel carpet, and Lee was said,
(20:14):
it was oh no, totally, totally was you have?
Speaker 1 (20:20):
You spent so many years there at the radio station.
Speaker 15 (20:22):
I'm still there, by the way, I'm on the air
right now at COOLU give me some stories that you
remember from Oh my goodness, Well, we got to talk
about Pat, God rest his soul. We lost Pat a
couple of years ago. Pat was kind of the Jamie
before Jamie. And remember he You couldn't do the things
(20:44):
Pat did today because you couldn't get into the airport. No.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
We had Pat go to the airport and he would
go up to the gates where people were borning, and
a couple of times he would hand somebody a big
raw dead fish wrapped in newspaper and he would say, Yeah,
my uncle's gonna meets you in Saint Louis.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Can you when you get off the plane, can you
give this to my uncle in Saint Louis?
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Do it?
Speaker 4 (21:05):
And they would do it, and we never saw the
other end of that story, like what would happen when
he actually got there with the dead fish.
Speaker 15 (21:10):
Or he'd go into the bathroom at the airport and
watch gentlemen, you know, do their thing and that wash
their hands.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
We called it the bullharn with a bathroom police. So
he would stand there and he would wait for guys
to go pee and then not wash their hands, and
he follow them out with excuse me, excuse me, don't
touch this man he just urinated, did not wash his hands, sir,
you need to wash your hands. And he never got punched.
He did he made somebody mad. One time we had
to get a security guard for him. I don't remember
(21:37):
exactly what it was.
Speaker 15 (21:38):
If he did climbed over the fence at Niagara Falls
and got arrested.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
He did, told them there was some there's a photo
that exists somewhere of Pat about three feet from the
lip of the falls standing.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
On a boulder at Niagara Falls. Yeah, he was. He
was the heart of the show back.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
In the radio when you could do stuff and get
in bitch.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Can't do that anymore anymore. No, we're not allowed to
do stuff anymore. Bobbing for chicken feet in milk, which
was which is a good bit.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
So I got a close up.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Lee, Thank you so much for coming by.
Speaker 15 (22:12):
You know what you Patt Eberts Eric, Yes, we lost
Eric lost Eric, beloved member of our show.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
And uh John O'Connell I was lucky butt.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
Lucky butt, yes, and then Dan Kylie and Andrea Vincent.
So we've lost a lot of people along the way,
but we love them all. So thank you, Lee, appreciate you.
Love you him everything, everything, everything, Thank you, Lee, Lee,
Minnesota Treasure. All right, we are we doing all right?
(22:50):
Get out of here, you're done. Mark Bulky, he's the
guy who hired me. Hi Mark, that guy right there waving,
that's the guy who hired me. Can I tell you
I'm gonna tell you a quick story that I really
shouldn't tell.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Can I tell you this story? It's awful. It's awful.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
So me and Mark Bulky and two other big wigs
are having dinner on my job interview. Now, who remembers
this horrible story Waco, Texas? Remember Waco and the Weird Cult?
Remember the Weird Cult and blah blah blah and they
and it's awful and they and they set it on
fire and a lunch of people died and it was
a national story at the time.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
So we're at this job interview.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
We're sitting around this fancy restaurant and they're trading jokes
around the table, and I'm like, oh.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
A joke. They're gonna come to me, and I gotta
tell a joke.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
I'm the morning guy. I gotta tell a joke. So
the only one I could think of was this. And
this is the worst joke ever. Did you hear that
the American Cancer Society is really happy today because one
hundred people just stop smoking in Waco?
Speaker 2 (23:57):
I know.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
Oh, And as I told that, I turned red and
I thought I just blew it. But these sick people
over here, they must have thought that was funny or something,
because they hired me. Thank god they did, Mark Bulky,
I love you, thank you.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
If it wasn't if it wasn't for you. Are we
ready for roasting?
Speaker 2 (24:20):
I think we're ready.
Speaker 7 (24:22):
I just want to make sure I have a headcount
here that all of my roasters are here.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Do I see a Stevel Latartia?
Speaker 14 (24:28):
Is he here?
Speaker 1 (24:28):
He's not here, He'll be late.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Okay, that's fine. Oh my god. And Taylor the shirt,
she went all out girl looking coin Look at her,
Look at Angie. All right, you want to get started here,
get started started.
Speaker 7 (24:42):
This is the official roast of Dave Ryan. I will
be your roast master this morning. And I want to
start off by saying that some of you may not
know this, but I did start off as an intern
on the Morning Show back in my college days, and
I was so intimidated by Dave.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Okay, like it's Dave Ryan, right.
Speaker 7 (24:57):
And so the first time you introduced himself to me,
like practically poop in my pants, which.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Is pretty normal for me.
Speaker 7 (25:03):
The second time he introduced himself to me, I was like, God,
I must not be that memorable. And then the tenth
time I realized, I think this is the first time
I've ever seen early onset Alzheimer's because I.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Was like, this is this is ridiculous.
Speaker 7 (25:15):
But eventually, Dave, I did learn a lot from you,
and I've been very lucky to spend ten years of
my career with you. The first thing that really stuck
was if there's a will, there's way anybody know the
nerf Ball story. Yeah, that was one lesson. Another one
is that sex is like she's pizza. After a while,
it's still good, but it's she's pizza. And I realized that, like,
(25:36):
I don't really want cheese pizza, so yeah, I'm still single.
And another one is that it's better to have it
and not need it than to need it right, And
I thought like, wow, that is so wise from someone
as wise as Dave Ryan. However, I feel like he
didn't learn that early enough in life, because it's like
where were the condoms.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
At when he clearly needed them.
Speaker 7 (25:57):
But the last thing I've learned is that if you
work hard, you never get complacent, you'll have a successful
career like this man right here, who has hosted an
award winning show for thirty three years.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
That I've been beyond honored to have been a part of.
So David from the bottom of my heart.
Speaker 7 (26:12):
You've helped shape my life and many others throughout the years,
and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to
work as your right hand woman.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Yes for the last ten years. I love you, you
fat old bitch.
Speaker 12 (26:24):
Oh wow, I love you.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Oh that was very sweet. Thank you, Bailey.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
That's okay, so up, NOx excited? Wait, what's up?
Speaker 7 (26:40):
We're gonna have miss Bailey gonago.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Bailey brought something I believe, ring ring ring ring?
Speaker 6 (26:47):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (26:48):
Oh pick up?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Hello? Hello, hate dad? It's me who you're shut up?
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Oh God.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
For those of you who don't know, I am Dave
Bryant's new.
Speaker 8 (27:04):
Dog after Josie decided she couldn't stand this dumbass any
longer and kick the bucket. May she rest in peace.
I'm a poodle, which means I am one of the
smartest dogs. Yeah, that's right. I'm in mense okay, which
really means nothing. If you can't even manage to follow
(27:25):
simple commands, Dad, let's see if you can make it
work up.
Speaker 16 (27:31):
Good boy, good boy, good boy.
Speaker 12 (27:37):
Speak, No, don't speak.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
It's my turn.
Speaker 11 (27:40):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (27:41):
I was gonna say roll over, but I'm not confident
you could.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Get back up off the floor. Now play dead. Come on, dad, Oh,
good boy, very nice? All right, let's see Uh no
to that one. No to okay Dad?
Speaker 8 (27:59):
Yeah, your Amazon package came in the mail today, is
that right?
Speaker 12 (28:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I got you that lesia and that ball that you
asked for.
Speaker 8 (28:07):
Weird that the ball came with a mouth strap though,
I've never seen anyone.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Play fetch with the others Bernie.
Speaker 8 (28:13):
Anyway, maybe we can play with one of those later.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
No to that. It looks like that's my time, Dad.
Speaker 8 (28:23):
In all honesty, there's only one guy who's better at
licking his own balls and eating his own poop.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Than I am, and that's you. Dad.
Speaker 12 (28:31):
Hey, Dad, guess what.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
A laborador you if no one else had rather hump
against their will.
Speaker 8 (28:40):
Also, by the time you get home, I'll have eaten
all of your underwear and had diarrhea all over Caseman,
Can I get doordsk okay Thane?
Speaker 4 (28:50):
By yah God, last time, last time for that bit
that's worth leaving for right there?
Speaker 7 (29:00):
Well, give it up for Bailey Slashburnie. Everybody, all right,
next up, this guy better bring it because he does
stand up comedy. Mistervontaviously what do you got for us?
Speaker 3 (29:14):
I'm gonna keep mine brief because I feel like I,
out of everybody, have worked with Dave the least amount
of time, which means I also probably like him the most.
Shout out to me for still having self esteem. Without Dave,
I don't know if any of us would have careers
or if another half of us would have any migraines.
Dave Ryan has had so many interns that Minnesota. Somewhere
in Minnesota is a therapist specializing in former KDWB employees.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
It's true. It's been so cool working with Dave for
the past two years.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Now I can put has worked with Alzheimer's patients on
my resume. Yeah, his memory is so shot he has
to ask Alzheimer's patients to help him log back into
his email.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I remember before I.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Joined the show, everybody was like, oh, well, you sure
you want to do that? Dave's you know, there's a
lot of pressure, and you know, he's very particular, and
I feel like I got Dave in his sunset year
is all he does. You just give him his phone
to scroll on reels, eat a hard boiled egg, and
he's good. Seriously, Dave Ryan is the pastiest white man
I've ever met in my life. Can I tell you
he has been catching cheater since the nineties but struggles
(30:14):
to still catch a tan?
Speaker 7 (30:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (30:16):
True.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
He is so pale that if he stands in front
of a projector.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
The image just gets brighter.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
If you had to name his skin tone, it'll be
unsalted mashed potatoes. The craziest part I think about Dave
retiring because now he actually has to go spend time
with his family.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
No more day drinking at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Dave.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Can we give a hand to Susan by the way,
his wife? Yeah, wherever she is, there's no joke. We
just seriously need to pray for her because Dave will
be home.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
Twenty four to seven.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Now where is she? Anyway? I lost you went home
in the back somewhere. Love you, Carol.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
David is retiring from the show, but he's still gonna
work with Katie w b behind the scenes. The only
thing that he asked was that he could keep his
key card for the days that we have food in
the office. Seriously, we need to give a hand to
a broadcasting legend that's hanging it up today after a
long thirty plus career.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Stephen Colbert is retiring all.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Right, seriously, Dave, in all seriousness, working with you has
been an absolute delay, and I hate that it was
so short.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
But nobody can say that they met the Pillsbury double
Way in real life.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
So I'm glad that I was able to. That's it,
Love you, David, Ah.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Give it everybody.
Speaker 7 (31:35):
All right, We're gonna keep this ross rolling and bring
up one of the funniest people I've ever had the
honor of having in my life.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Her name is Fallon bond set Scottler.
Speaker 7 (31:44):
You've also I know here as fatly be the Fallinator
and she's here.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
To give her rows.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
What are you all dressed up for?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
I got a TV show to get to.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Yeah, you get a TV show?
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Hello, beautiful? Hi?
Speaker 6 (31:59):
All right?
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Cold my song? I'm just kidding.
Speaker 16 (32:02):
I'm talking to have a walk up song. And he said, no,
this is Dave show. I said, good point, all right, all.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
Right, let's dive right in. Okay.
Speaker 16 (32:08):
I didn't hear anything anyone else said, so sorry if
I'm doubling up. A lot of people would say Dave
is a genius, and by a lot of people, I
mean Dave mostly.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Dave is the one that says that about himself. But seriously,
people talk about great.
Speaker 16 (32:24):
Communicators throughout history, Martin Luther, King, Woston Churchill, Dave Ryan.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
None of them were able to articulate what Dave has though.
Who else could so elegantly teach Steve.
Speaker 16 (32:39):
O how to toss a salad using the instruction method
dart Lick, dart.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Lick, stand up, the stand upround. There you go, there
it is okay, thank you.
Speaker 16 (32:56):
Shakespeare could never and I hope that that is on
his turstone one day, dart Lick. A lot of guys
from Dave's generation got into radio because they didn't have
the skills to succeed in other professions that still came
with groupies.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Dave got in radio to meet women too.
Speaker 16 (33:14):
Unfortunately, that was before social media, back when women only
had to hear him and not actually see him. I'm obviously,
I'm kidding, Dave, you used to be moderately attractive.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
She actually told me that one time. She meant it.
Speaker 16 (33:31):
Dave has decided to retire, although I fully expect him
to come back the second he realizes how little income
clip Adou's annually. They should have known they being a
ball on the stable and Let's be honest.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 16 (33:49):
Retirement means we can all finally stop pretending to enjoy
the magic tricks.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Ya, thank God, And let's be honest.
Speaker 16 (33:57):
The greatest illusion Dave has ever pulled off was convinced
see people.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
That that's his natural hair color.
Speaker 16 (34:08):
Okay, but truly, Dave, thank you, thank you for the laughs,
the memories, and most importantly, thank you for retiring so
we never have to watch you dance in another reel
on Instagram again.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Yeah, all right, giving up her foul and everybody.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
You guys, they work together for so many years, they
know so many secrets about each other, and that I
don't think I even know.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
All right, thank you so much. Balin up Max.
Speaker 7 (34:37):
We're bringing another co host, missus Angie too. Oh no, oh,
he's even got Dave's face on her shirts.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
You got my face on your shirt?
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Did you guys know that Angie dated Nick Carter. I'm
not making this up all the time. No, it's such
a great story. I mean, local DJ and slash loose
woman meets Nick Carter, meets Nick Carter somewhere, and then
Nick Carter.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
He's like, I've got a racing team. I got a
boat racing team that never wins. But would you come
down and didn't you get in the National Inquirer with
Nick Carter one of those taplings? Yeah, Nick Carter.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
He was just jealous because he wanted to bang Nick Carter.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
I did, I mean I did so. Welcome Aungie.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Hey, oh my god, it's so going to be here.
Hi guys. Oh I love it. I cried on my
way here. Sorry if I look like crap. Is this
where I'm supposed to roast?
Speaker 6 (35:32):
You know?
Speaker 5 (35:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Oh this is time? Oh it's the official roast time.
Hi guys. Yes, excuse me. I'm Auntie Taylor. I love you,
Dave Ryan by the way, icon, and I'm so honored
to be here with all of you guys. For those
of you who don't know me, my name is Angie
Taylor and I am by far Dave's favorite co host.
That was until I found out that's not true. Last night.
(35:55):
Your wife told me it's not ho bag Lena, So
that's messed up. Oh my god, Hi, Gary Spiding. Speaking
of ho bags, you know, they say behind every great
man is a great woman, you know, And let's be honest,
all these women up here over here, right here, the
reason you're great Day. It's true, they are right. Give
(36:19):
it up for the ladies. I mean you did some
things too. You made it into the Radio Hall of Fame.
We will never do that because we have vaginas, But
Dave did it. So yay Day. Is this on YouTube?
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (36:33):
It is?
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Yeah, right there.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Oh I wouldn't have worn this stupid shirt. Yeah, I
love this shirt. Do you like the shirt?
Speaker 1 (36:39):
I love the shirt.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
We're all so lucky. My era with Dave was the
amazingly Balls, Big, the late Pat Eberts, Rest in Paradise Homie,
and Extreme Jamie who has CTE Now? I think like
from all of the incidents, poor Extreme Jamie. If you
remember that era of the show, it's time for you
to take your meta musial cracker. Everybody, five up, get
(37:02):
out j Poor Jamie.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Dave.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Working with you in my hometown on this station that
I grew up listening to was beyond my dreams. I'm
pretty sure I was with KATIEWB and Dave from nineteen
ninety six until the early two thousands, but I don't
remember because I was drunk most of the time. True,
it's really true. Yeah, I'm two years sober.
Speaker 12 (37:26):
Though, thank you. It sucks that ends today.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
It's so boring, but I'm alive.
Speaker 14 (37:34):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
So, Dave, I heard your promise this week and you
were saying that we're going to roast you Kevin Hart style.
So I went to chat GPT just out of curiosity
and asked it write a roast for Dave Bryan's retirement
in the style of Kevin Hart. And this here's the joke, Yo,
Dave Ryan, you kidding me? Fam forty six years on
(37:56):
the mic and you finally say I'm peace out, nah Bra,
just like a Netflix series that should have ended three
seasons ago. That was the best one.
Speaker 14 (38:07):
I'm telling you.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
That was the best joke AI Kevin had. He probably
works for iHeart now Kevin starts, Oh yeah, that's right. Okay,
I do have something to get off my chest with you.
Dave used to clown me mercilessly for acting too cool
for the room, you know, but really, like, how could
I compete with someone who does all the cool things?
(38:33):
I mean, Dave does super cool things, playing the ukulele.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
So hot.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
He does really cool board games like Katan and Wizards
of Waverley Dungeons or whatever that one of those door games.
Dave loves the band kiss I do, yeah, and he
always does the gross Geene Summon Simmons tongue thing. Poor Susan,
(39:03):
you'll get that and no more do you, Susan?
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Stop it? My wife.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Long suffering and beautiful. But you know he used to
tease me all the time. Dave loves a band kiss.
As we know, he also does cool things like magic.
He made a whole person disappear once it's true. Her
name was Cassie.
Speaker 12 (39:25):
Oh oh out, who gets that joke? Those are awful?
Speaker 2 (39:35):
It was great. That was fire, right, Okay, Dave does
Boy Scouts?
Speaker 1 (39:43):
Stop it, stop it, stop it.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
You didn't actually do the boy Scouts. You were just
oh you were just in the Boy Scouts. Stop it,
Boy Scouts of America. If Dave Ryan was your den daddy,
you may be entitled to compensation. Sorry, David. On the
(40:07):
plane ride here, I thought a lot about what I
learned from you, and really the thing that stands out
to me the most was just observing you as a
loving and devoted father to Alison. I know there's like
seven other kids.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
Yeah, yeah, you don't blame them, no.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Okay, you always told us when you have kids, everything
is about making memories together, and that stuck with me.
I mean, that's such a parent pro tip. That seems obvious,
but you really set an example, and those words stayed
with me when I accidentally became a parent myself.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
So I want to read it happens, Yeah, it happens. Whoops,
ye oops.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
You know when you're thirty two, it's like when I
might as well have this baby. I remember sweet little
Alison sitting in the studio on the floor like she
would come in in color when we were on the air.
I felt so bad that you drug her in at
five am, but she was so adorable. I remember all
the times you took her on your yearly father daughter
flights to find all your other kids. Yeah, did you
(41:06):
find them? Carson's here, Carson's hereson here? Did he get here?
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Carson?
Speaker 2 (41:15):
Carson? Do you want a girlfriend? Carson's a little hottie,
just saying do you want a middle aged woman? Oh
my god. We have so many great memories together, though, Dave,
somewhere in this mall, do you remember when we did
the Beanie Baby Swap of the nineties with like a
thousand people showed up just to swap Beanie babies of
(41:37):
all famous. Yeah, we broadcasted it all over the world.
Also in this rotunda we introduced Britney Spears on the
Little Catholic Schoolgirl outfit when she came out.
Speaker 14 (41:49):
Yes, it was great.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
We went to the Bahamas, We went to Disney, We
went to the Olympics. Did everybody else go to the
Bahamas and Disney and the Olympics with us? One person?
Speaker 1 (42:00):
We'd call you now.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Like O, we went to the Olympics. I don't even
know if you know this, though, I have to confess
I'm shaking. When we went to Australia for the Olympics
in two thousand and two, we broadcast there. Yes, I
never told you this, but I accidentally smuggled cocaine into
the country and almost caused an international I'm not kidding.
(42:24):
I didn't know. It was in my jacket and it
wasn't mine.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
I didn't it's not.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
I was young, Okay, So anyway, but that happened. It's
good times like that that will stay in my mind always.
That could have been so bad, like we would have
been over day. I just want to say on the
serious tip. Now, you keep saying that you're really shocked
at the outpouring of love from all your listeners, and
they need you to look me in the eyeballs right now.
(42:54):
You made a difference, you really did, in so many lives.
You raised millions for charities, You gave opportunities to so
many people, including myself. You worked tirelessly like nobody, and
I mean nobody works harder than Dave Ryan. Swear to god,
it would just made us all feel terrible because we suck.
(43:17):
You worked like crazy. You shook all the hands, you
kissed all the babies, you groped all the women.
Speaker 7 (43:24):
Some men.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Lucky you, Lucky you, I mean you poured your heart
in soul out every single morning the years we take
off of our lives, getting up every day at four am.
You sacrificed your family, sacrificed a lot. This life you
chose was really hard. But you are forever Minnesota's nice guy.
(43:48):
You really are.
Speaker 9 (43:49):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
And for everyone that you've met over the years that
tells you that they love you, there's so many more
that you've never met that they wish they could say
the same to you. And I know that a few
times in your life where you really get to be
celebrated and the older we get those moments are fewer
and farther between. So I hope you stand in it
right now and accept all these flowers from everybody that
(44:13):
loves you and just finally have your days for yourself
and your dreams. So thank you, my love, for all
the memories. Thank you, You're amazing. And thank you guys
for all the memories too. I love you Minnesota, my hometown.
Speaker 7 (44:30):
Give it up for Angie Taylor. You guys, I almost
had a tear coming out for that one. They're whispering
sweet nothings into each other's ears.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Thank you. I'm auctioning off this shirt because I was
laid off and the money ran out in January. If
anybody would like this shirt, let me know.
Speaker 4 (44:53):
This watch has got applications available if you want to
put it.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Yes, okay, I used to have like four of my
arm I remember. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Anyway, I'll leave you alone with your other people. Oh.
By the way, I found these are from nineteen ninety nine.
If anybody would like signed Auntie Taylor a picture looking
for stuff the other day.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
There are autograph pictures.
Speaker 6 (45:13):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Love you guys, Love you.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
Guys, Love you Angie.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
Thank you, Angie. Give it up for Angie, what we're
talking to? Everybody?
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Check it out. Nick Carter showed up over here.
Speaker 14 (45:25):
Look at that.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
Okay, are you doing so far?
Speaker 1 (45:27):
I'm doing good. Yeah, great.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Are your feelings hurt at all?
Speaker 1 (45:30):
No, but there was a couple of things that kind
of pissed me off in there.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
That's what you should expect. So okay, all right, Well
we're gonna keep the ball rolling.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
I'm tree to meet my kids.
Speaker 7 (45:38):
Son of it next up, give it for give it
up for Corey Fully. No, she's also known as Filthy Foley, right,
was that true?
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Back in the day?
Speaker 1 (45:47):
Filthy, Yeah, Corey was.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
I can't even tell you some of the best stories
about Corey Foley because Corey Foley was telling me like, yeah,
you know, and my sister, and Corey was probably smoking
at the time, like yeah, my sister just got a
horse hair butt blank and I'm like, a what a horse?
A horse hairy?
Speaker 8 (46:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (46:04):
And it's a yeah you know that story, right of course? Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (46:07):
So we called her filthy fully filthy Corey Foley everybody,
and I wear that title proudly.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yes, it is so great to see you. It's been
way too long. And I remember one of my interviews
with you. To get this job. You took me to
lunch right here at the Mall of America, and you
bought me a keychain at the keychain store that said
fully and I still have it?
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Do you still?
Speaker 2 (46:32):
That's the nice story I'm gonna tell it about you.
Here we go, the one thing that drove me crazy
about you. I'm just going to dive right in. I
hate pranks. I hate them, and I know it's you
that put me in this headspace. I've never pulled a
prank on anybody ever again because they I will never
forget wheel Wednesdays. They were the worst.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
What was wheel Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (46:53):
We spun the wheel and whoever landed on whatever had
to do it. I remember poor Miranda had to make
a me eat helmet out of raw beeaten. Yes, yes
she did, Yes, covered her entire face. There was the
day I got shot in the butt with the BB
gun and I was wearing linen pants. There was the
day I had to eat Papperoni delicious.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
Yeah no no.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
And then also because I'm from Florida, you love to
exploit the fact that I knew nothing about winter and
you made me go outside and stick my tongue on
a pole, and then somebody messed up the video and
I had to do it again. You know, I'm I'm sorry,
very proud to talk battle with anxiety. I don't know
(47:39):
where it came from. But I had a lot of
fun too. Oh but wait, there was that one time
when you stole my keys and you gave them to Crisco,
and Chrisco disrobed and in my brand new oud ett
and it ate sour cream and onion potato.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
Chips, Crisco three and fifty pounds naked in Corey's brand
new leather seats.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Vanilla leather seats.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
Then Thanksgiving came around, still had my house keys, and
Dave thinks it's gonna be funny to release a turkey
in my house Chrisco, still with my keys, in my
bed naked. Yeah, I just burned everything. I said, the
car on fire, I said, the bed on fire. I
just you know, I was done with all of it.
(48:28):
But I really had a lot of fun. I learned
so much from you, and it's helped me in my career.
I've gotten laid off three times. I can't thank you
enough for a welcome. I mean, I know that I
wouldn't be here.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
Oh it'll happen again.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
What's really sad is when I found out you were retiring,
I was like, God, I was gonna see if you'd
take me back. Truly, you were the first. I'd been
on a couple of morning shows before I met you,
but you were the first person who actually taught me
what a morning show is about, and structure and what
you put into it and really sharing yourself with people.
(49:02):
And I take so much away from that because I've
met so many many amazing people by being open and honest,
and I you know, the first week I was here,
I actually lost my mother and she passed away from
breast cancer. And I was on the air one day
and then I had to fly home, and Dave was
so amazing because you know, we went through all that.
I come back, Easter's just around the corner. He invites
(49:23):
me to his house for dinner. We have a fantastic dinner.
You got me an Easter basket. It was so it
was so kind. I felt so welcomed and so at home.
I know I'm supposed to make more fun of you,
but I think Angie took.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
Care of that.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
I mean, who wants to follow that I didn't bring
any pictures to sign. If anybody likes this jacket, I too,
am out of severance. Thank you for all that you are,
thank you for all that you've done, and thank you
for supporting me and supporting all the people that are here.
And you're just You're my Dave Flugal Binder legal Binder.
(49:59):
That's a real last name. Yes, give it up for
Cory Folly.
Speaker 7 (50:02):
Everybody, all right, I think we're gonna take a brief
break here because we gotta get some things figured out.
But we still have on deck Steve Latart, brace yourself,
we have Lena Spenson, and we have intern John, so
stick around. I know nobody's going anywhere until you hear
those ROAs, but we'll be right back on Kate
