Speaker 4 (01:16):
Can I just clarify that you are still doing a
show Friday because you say last live show and people
are gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Get confused, cause live is a radio business term. It's
like we're in front of a studio audience live, but
we're always live here. But live to us means like
we're in front of an audience. So we'll be back
around Friday doing the show from the Space Needles studio.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
What are we all wearing?

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Susan ordered me a fun retirement shirt. Oh gosh, don't
give me the you're getting judge all read.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Ye, I'll send you a picture because I have a
leftover dress from Bali I didn't wear. So it's like
a cute little like we're it's it's business and something nice. Yeah,
it's like we're going to a banquet.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
It's like a.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Summer dress for me. It'd be something I would where
any day.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Okay, we're putting on that thang, that dang, that dang.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Okay, Happy birthday. Jack turned sixteen on Sunday, got his
license yesterday afternoon. Good for you. Congratulations. Let's play for
the final time ever Lyric Shuffle. It's truly my favorite
game on the radio. Yeah, yeah, let's go, Jenny. Okay,
let's get started.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
All right, Dave, here you go. First word for you.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
We we belong together.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Good John, thank you, easy enough, so I'll thank you. Okay,
font you're word ready.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
For me to wine?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Light light?

Speaker 5 (02:45):
I know lights lights hit.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I thought about a bunch of plural lights.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Yeah, Dave, come on, baby like my five what'd you have? Bailey?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
You you light.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Up my.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Overrated song of the nineteen seventy I don't even know
that song, do you?

Speaker 7 (03:03):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I don't. Now.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
We made a rule last week, Jenny, you cannot do
any songs that are pre nineteen eighty is what I
said last week.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
All right, well, you guys make sure that Dave's not
doing it.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Then that song is in the nineteen sixties, so I
already blew that rule.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
All right. Well, Dave has two points so far, but
it's still anyone's game. We're back to Dave for round two.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Again, I can wait to see you again. Happy forty
eighth birthday, Brian apparently birthday today.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
I love that song. Everyone's taking the opportunity to hear
Dave say happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
People's birthdays. Birthdays are December.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Okay. Dave has three points, Font has zero, but Vaunt
it's your turn, so here you go.

Speaker 8 (03:52):
End.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
It starts.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
In the end, lake of park in the end, it
doesn't even matter.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I'd give it to him. He got it, Yeah, he
got it.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
If you guys say, I will let him have it.

Speaker 9 (04:08):
My thing is is when we play this game, Von
always starts to sing the song that doesn't have the
word in it and then just kind of assumes for
you to fill it in.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
It is the last week. It is damn show, stop bitching.
I am sick of it.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Oh children, children, look at miss Jenny.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
And we live on YouTube right now.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
You no Simon here, and you know I can't do
that many things at once. Okay, Round three David three points,
Von has one. This is Dave's word.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Worry, don't worry me happy, don't worry be happy nor
be happy. I don't okay.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
I wanted to hear the low, low voice on that end,
all right, But you ready, that's like a give up.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Tough.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I can see it in Dave's eyes. He just knows everything.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Today, hanging to I want to hang in to.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Good job. David is just sweeping the floor today. Sorry,
pony to wrap it, let her win here. I'm going
to do one last one just because I wanted to
see if Dave would be able to get this one, Okay,
because it would be your turn, Dave, even though you
have technically one at this point.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
So this is mine.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
This is yours.

Speaker 10 (05:48):
Hop at the hop Hop Hop Hop at the hop
Hop Hop Hop song. It is fifty six.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
I was to say I had sockops, so I actually
know that one. But this is what I thought you
were going to do, you know, so take it now
you're turned.

Speaker 9 (06:15):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
I was coming on the hall late one dark afternoon.
A report to stop me for an interview. She said
she's heard stories and she's heard favors that I'm vicious
on the bike and the turntables, this young reporter. I
did the door, so I bought the visions rhyme like
I never did before. She said, damn fly God, I'm
in love with you. The Casanova Ledge and must have
been true. I said, by it the way, baby, what's
your name? She said, to go by the name a

(06:35):
lowish lane. You can be my boyfriend. You surely can
for something with my boyfriend called soup. But man, I said,
he's a fairy. I do suppose would fly through the
air and pan he hose. He may be very sexy
or even cute, but he looks like a sunk it
in a blue and reddis suit. I said, you need
a man who's got finesse and his full name across
the chest. You're able to fly all through the night,
but can't he rock your body till the early light.

(06:57):
He can satisfy you with that little worm and I
can buzz it up and not supersperm. I'm gonna do with.
I'm gonna do with. I'm gonna do it. Do it
to w because I'm here and I'm there, I'm big
bank hancom everywhere. Just throw your hands up in the air.
You rock your body like you just don't do the
hop y'all to the top y'all to the top y'all.
We don't stop. We go ho tell mo tell, Holiday said,

(07:23):
if your girls thoughts acting up, then you take a friend.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Wow, good job, you still got it, baby?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Hang it up now?

Speaker 3 (07:32):
That was it? Not getting better than this? Turn off
the radio.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
That's the workout. I don't need to go to snap now,
No you don't. All right, we'll be back in a second.
I gotta sit down. Coming up next time talk back Tuesday.
If you need advice, you leave a talk back and
I give you thirty seconds of dad advice. Apparently this
is what we're gonna do next. Yeah, okay, it's coming
up next on k d W B. Use the talk back,

(07:58):
ask for advice, and I will do my best with
thirty seconds of dad advice. Next, I got to watch
the Dave Ryan Show on your TV. Check out our
live stream on YouTube search Dave Ryan Tv. It is
kd WB one hour commercial free. In this hour, we're

(08:18):
gonna do the final War of the Roses. Ever, it's
not a new one. It's the classic Nick the Stoner. Yeah,
so popular. There's even a puppet theater on YouTube. If
you ever want to go to Dave Ryan War of
the Roses on YouTube puppet theater. Just search that and
you will see puppets act out Nick the Stoner.

Speaker 9 (08:37):
Can I just say you we're gonna throw that puppet away,
and I saved it from certain death.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
This one you talk about this puppet. Puppet is the
puppet It's in my closet at home.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Is it the Dave Ryan puppett?

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Yeah, of course Reeli has it.

Speaker 9 (08:50):
It's my puppet. Now, okay, we're gonna throw it away.
Here he was feed up in the garbage can. He was,
he was, I can't keep everything, and I said, how
dare you?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
I know?

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Also, shout out to seventeen birthday to l J. Have
a great day playing for Raza six. I don't know
what that is that is from mom, but happy birthday,
l J, seventeen years old today, big day. Somebody said
via text, they said, Dave, make sure you sign up
for cameo because people can hear you in your shout out.
So if you don't get a birthday shout out, sign

(09:21):
up for cameo and find me on cameo.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Yeah, day's already on cameo.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yeah, I'm already on cameo and I'm cheap, waita really cheap?
All right?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Can I ask you? Because we said that we wanted
to kind of have people send in, like their dad
advice questions. So you can do that on the talkback
feature right now. If you want to ask Dave a question,
he'll give you a few seconds to answer it. But
I did also ask it on Facebook, and so I'm
going to ask you some of the questions. So this
one says Rebecca says, I'm close to being an empty nester.
What do you wish you had done with your kids

(09:51):
for a vacation and what was your favorite vacation of
memories with your kids?

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Oooh man, there was nothing that I wish those spoiled
kids didn't have that they already got. They went to
the Black Hills, they went to Hawaii, they went to like,
I don't know, Florida, Orlando, Disney full spoiled kids. I
don't really. The only thing about an empty nester is
it's sad for you, but it's so exciting for them.
And remember you're really sad. But once you realize it
ain't about you, and how happy they are to go

(10:17):
off to college and you know, start, you know, their
whole life, then it made it a little bit easier
with Carson because it was exciting for him, and I
was thinking only about how sad it was for me.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
So what was your favorite vacation.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Do you think that you guys took honestly, the Black Hills?

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yeah, all the places we went had but it's great.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
I'm going to take one back. Japan was better than
the Black Hills. Yeah, by a little.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Bit by Okay.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Another one, this comes from Anita. If you were raising
your kids during today's world with technology, what advice would
you give to yourself?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Don't ask me. I wouldn't know, because my kids kind
of missed the social media thing a little bit. Alison
didn't deal with it. Carson dealt with it. Somebody was
never really into social media. He was into app chat,
him and his Adobe buddies. Yeah, they had like a
nerf war chat group, a nurse nerve war. Yeah, because

(11:07):
they's stupid high school kids. They take around nerf guns
and they shoot at each other and you know, blah
blah blah. So I would say, ask somebody younger, because
I wouldn't know. I wouldn't know. I would say, well,
do your best to keep them off, but good luck.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Okay. Here's more kind of a life advice, not necessarily
dad advice, but Jamie Joe says, break it down for us, Dave,
what should someone actually be focusing on in their twenties, thirties, forties, fifties,
and sixties to keep leveling up and becoming a stronger,
wiser version of themselves like that, But I don't know, well,
and then they can finish it. Why's the version of

(11:41):
themselves over time?

Speaker 11 (11:42):
Like you?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Well you everyone and their moms like die's just like
my dad? Okay, well step up.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
I think that you. I think that you have to
build a foundation of your life. And that is by
you know, people don't want to hear it, but you
gotta work, and you gotta work, and you gotta work,
and yeah, you're going to have like a little work
life balance. But if you're thinking of a perfect word
work life balance and you want to have a life
that's worth talking about, then it ain't gonna be a
perfect work life balance. You got to work. You gotta
build that foundation. You got to like get ahead of

(12:08):
some of the other stragglers in your career, which is
not hard to do because most people are lazy. All
you gotta do to get ahead is work harder than
the ninety percent of people who are like no, I've
got to have a perfect work life balance. I would
love to have a perfect worth like work life balance.
But that's why I'm so wealthy now at this age,
I'm loaded.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Ago. Yeah, well he's cheap. He can still be cheap
but also be wealthy.

Speaker 9 (12:32):
Goal.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Yeah all right, I know we have some talkbacks coming in,
but I'm gonna ask you this one. And still it
comes from Michelle, says dadded. Dave, Yeah, can you tell me,
as a girl how to actually find a date? It's
like nobody likes me.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
There is an ass for every seat. And if you
it's this trip. Now, if you're thinking there's nobody out
there who you know, maybe you have like I don't know,
crooked teeth or a giant nose or a high forehead.
Look at Jenny. It didn't help, didn't hurt her.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
But nother thing.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
You might think I'm too shy, I'm too tall, I'm
too short, I've got bad skin. Whatever. There is somebody,
I promise you, who would jump up and down with
joy if they could date you. He might not look
like a model, and he might be a little shy,
and he might have a stutter. But I'll tell you,
there is an ass for every seat. And if you
think that you are not good enough to find somebody.

(13:23):
There is somebody out there who would basically mess their
pants with joy if they got a chance to go
out with you. But stop aiming so high. You got
to look for the shy people. Look past the outgoing
type A personalities with perfect hair and find the guy
who's a little bit shy and maybe has a stutter
or is missing an arm or something like that.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
There's only one ask for this seat, and it's Jenny's.
I don't want to see this anything else.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
I'm calling hr all Right, Bob, what do you got
for talk bags?

Speaker 11 (13:54):
My daughter actually is turning eighteen today, yay? But how
do you miss having an eighteen year old that's still
living under your roof that you are in charge of
because she's technically an adult.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
That's a tough one. I never had that problem I had.
I had a very ambitious eighteen year old that would
go back and forth from college. I don't have an
answer for that one.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Alison not live with you after she went to college.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
I mean, briefly, off and on, I think, But I
think she got her own place with Justin pretty much
right out of college. I don't exactly remember. But that's
a challenge because you know, I don't know. I think
that you got to start him way before eighteen to
figure that out. But I know some other parents that
are wonderful parents that are my age. I got a
friend who's got a son that's twenty five years old
and he's still kind of living at home and he works,
you know, works at a bar, and she's like, when

(14:40):
are you gonna get off your ass and do something?
I say him, sign up for the Marine Corps. Sign
up for the Marine Corps. That's that's a branch that
will get you ass. Indyche is another one on the
other side of the spectrum. Hey, Dave, I was just
calling for the dad advice.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
I have a daughter who's going.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
To graduate high school and a couple, and I was
just wondering how you cope with that because I'm having
a really really hard time with it.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
It is so hard and and it was so hard
for me. Everything during Carson's senior year, I was like,
here's his last homecoming, here's his last prom, here's his
last band concert. And I was so sad because that
was my last one. And he's my boy, He's a baby,
he's my baby boy. And then going back to what
I said five minutes ago. Once you realized that they're

(15:29):
so happy and they're so excited, it kind of changes
your mindset. You look at it from a different perspective,
and then it made it a ton easier.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
I'll be honest.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
There's not a lot A.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
Lot of these are Dave my advice or I need
advice on how to get through.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
After you retire. There's maybe like seven of those. So, yeah,
why do we deal with this?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
To do get into hard drugs or no, I would say,
in the words of Fun, okay, the artist behind Some Nights.

Speaker 12 (15:56):
Yeah, Fun with a period, carry on, carry on, carry
carry You'll forget about me by.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
This time alone. Right, that's how it goes.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
We play that song song.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
I've never heard that song before.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
You've never heard that song.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
I know Fun, I know we are young. I honestly
thought it was Some Nights.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
No, not that version, that one I want to do.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
That's the best version.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
Well, I think that this version is my favorite. Personally,
I'm trying to hit things in. My computer's freezing on me,
so hold on, here, here we go.

Speaker 13 (16:47):
Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck.
Sometimes I call it dra.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Some nights.

Speaker 13 (16:56):
I wish that my lips could build a cat. So
sometimes I wish they just fall off.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
But I still wake up.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
I still see your ghostlod.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
I'm still not sure what I stand for?

Speaker 9 (17:11):
Whoa?

Speaker 2 (17:13):
What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
Most nice? I don't know aimo?

Speaker 11 (17:22):
Whoa?

Speaker 5 (17:24):
Whoa?

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Come It's not over yet more seconds.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
The best part is coming.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Whoa, whoa? Come on?

Speaker 9 (17:38):
Come on?

Speaker 13 (17:44):
Lee?

Speaker 7 (17:46):
Now?

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Now so many questions right when you went into producing that.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Did you think you were harmonizing? I thought I was
until I heard it.

Speaker 8 (17:55):
Did you think right?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Were you doing two different keys or were you just
layering yourself?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Jinny eludes me. I had barbershop quartet tryouts last night
and I blew it completely.

Speaker 11 (18:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
No, you had you hit some of the notes in there,
and all the timing was right.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
I'm really good at timing.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
It was like the silence and then you'd come in
right when you needed to come in.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
I just think, for the sake of it, one more time, yeah,
come on, come on. I think the third one is
my favorite.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
The third come on.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Yeah, that's when it hits the It just really goes there.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
All right, I'm gonna play this song because I love
this love that message, and I thought I would throw
that in there.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
That was actually a really good song.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
It's a beautiful song.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Yeah, it's going to turn into like Fun's biggest fans.
Only I thought there were one hit wonders.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I thought we were young with their only song n
Oh No Some Nights was one of the best songs
of the last like the with the Teens decade, they.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Were something else.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
Back when Jenny and I were in high school too,
they weren't called Fun, and then they got They really
popped off when we were in college.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
What's interesting is the guy who's not the singer, Nate
is the singer, but Jack Antonoff is the guy who
wrote that song. Oh he's like that was his band
and Jack Antonoff wrote pretty much every Sabrina Carpenter hit.
I know she claims to write her songs, and that's
a whole other story we'll explore another time. Oh no,
we won't have time. But Sabrina Carpenter doesn't write her songs.
She claims she does because it's really good for her image.

(19:23):
She might write some of the lyrics, but Jack Antonoff
as Taylor Swift, because Taylor Swift writes with Jack Antonoff,
and she would not write with somebody if she did
all the work. And if Taylor Swift or if Sabrina
Carpent are going to sit down with Jack Antonof, he's
not going to say, what do you think that we
should do here? Should we do a key change here?
He'll be like, let me show you what we're gonna do.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Oh, I want to sit down with Jack Antonov. That
dude's hot. Have you seen him?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Yeah? I had no good and he's so cute still
for you.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
He's forty two.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
That's thirty five, not even remotely too old.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Thing Bley, he's looking out for you.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Bailey is what Jenny Billy is thirty five.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Oh, that's what cann say Bailey has. I was gonna say,
Bailey has the hormones of a high school girl.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
This guy's hot. Who was a lot last week?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
John Wilkes Booth, Wow, John Walks youth is hot like
the Statute of Limitations.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Up on that so out of nowhere.

Speaker 9 (20:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
I won't even try to explain why Bailey came up
with John Wilkes Booth is hot. No, leave it up
to the imagination. Okay, it is time for the war
the Roses have been around for a very, very very
long time. It goes back to like the early two thousands,
and I would have never expected it to last twenty
five years. But there's a lot of cheating going on

(20:32):
out there in most weeks. There have been some weeks
we couldn't find anybody. There were other weeks we tried
to call people and they didn't answer. And there were
some weeks we had like ten War of the Roses,
but this was probably everybody's favorite, the most memorable War
of the Roses. Ever. If you remember one War of
the Roses, you're gonna remember Nick the stower cheater.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
One fake bouquet of roses at a time of the
Roses starts.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Right now on kt w B. Michelle is doing War
the Roses today. Hi, guys, let's talk about your War
the roses. What's going on with you and your boyfriend Nick?
So my bosid.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Nick and I and dating. I mean we were dating
for about three years and I was living with him,
and I finally broke up with him because he kept
calling me by.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
The wrong name, so like during during the loven or
just like around the house or what what was what
was the name that he called you call me.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Amber, and I'm like, oh, the Amber. He's like, oh, babe, sorry,
you know, I'm like, is it an next girlfriend who
was always very vague about it? He just called for
the wrong name and just started pishing me off. And
finally I'm like, well, obviously he was subconsciously just thinking
of somebody else instead of me. So I moved out
of the house.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
So that's all it took was for you to like
you just had had it with him. That's weird, because
you know what, when I cheated on girlfriends in the past,
I never had a problem with calling them the wrong
name now insistantly. So you moved out, but then recently,
now you move back, what with your mom and dad?

Speaker 11 (22:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Because yeah, I mean he owned his house and so
I had moved in with him. Okay, so I moved
back to my parents, but like a couple months ago,
we started things back up again. I mean, he seems like,
you know, he seems.

Speaker 13 (22:15):
Like she's changed.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
And although, okay, a couple of weeks ago, I was
making his bed and I found a red thong in
his bead.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
It was not okay. So it doesn't get much more
incriminating than that. You found a red thong. A woman
knows where the underwear is hers or not in his bed?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, okay, okay, but listen to this.

Speaker 11 (22:35):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
So he tells me, I'm like, you know, obviously I
got a front of him, and he got really defensive.
He's like, well, my mom slipt over. She's been town
visiting and she slept in her bed. But I just
I don't know, Like I have a hard time picturing
his mom wearing a red song.

Speaker 8 (22:48):
Yeah, yeah, mom wears that.

Speaker 11 (22:50):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Well, I will tell you now how old is his mom?
And I can tell you whether or not it's in
the realm of possibility she was wearing a thong. How
old is his mom?

Speaker 11 (22:57):
His mom?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
But fifty five, fifty six?

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Well, it's totally possible that she could be wearing a thong.

Speaker 8 (23:01):
Well, who lets his mom wear a thong and sleep
in his bed?

Speaker 2 (23:03):
And whose mom sleeps in son's bed with a thong? Anyway,
that is just gross. Are you ready to make the
phone call?

Speaker 11 (23:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (23:10):
What's his phone company?

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Michelle?

Speaker 8 (23:12):
What's the what's his phone company?

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (23:25):
Hey, what's man?

Speaker 11 (23:26):
Hi?

Speaker 8 (23:27):
I'm looking for Nick.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
Please, Hi Nick. My name is Amy and I'm calling
from are you good? I'm awesome. The reason I'm calling
Nick is because your name has shown up on my
screen is one of our preferred customers. And if you're
willing to answer just a quick two question survey for me,
you'll take only about thirty seconds. Then I can go
ahead and send flowers romantic roses to anyone of your

(23:49):
choosing today for your charge.

Speaker 8 (23:50):
Do you have like thirty seconds for me?

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Sweet?

Speaker 8 (23:55):
Okay? Scale of one to ten? How happy are you
with your cell service?

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (24:03):
I want to go one was the best?

Speaker 11 (24:05):
Right?

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Sorry?

Speaker 8 (24:06):
One is the worst? Ten is the best?

Speaker 2 (24:08):
One is the worst?

Speaker 9 (24:09):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (24:10):
No, good, I guess let's get ten the okay?

Speaker 7 (24:15):
And then again? Scale of one to ten? How likely
will you be to renew with us once your contract's up?

Speaker 2 (24:21):
The same scale of one to ten?

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Or is this maybe?

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Like, is this a different nail route we're taking?

Speaker 9 (24:26):
No?

Speaker 8 (24:26):
No, no, same scale, one being the worst, ten is
the best.

Speaker 9 (24:29):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, ten is the best?

Speaker 8 (24:34):
Right yep, ten is the best?

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Okay, Okay, Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Let's go ten again.

Speaker 8 (24:39):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (24:40):
Now that you've done that, I can go ahead and
send roses to anyone of your choosing today for your charge.

Speaker 8 (24:45):
So they're romantic red roses.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
So I need the name of the person that you'd
like us to send the flowers to the three people.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Yeah, I'd like to split them up in the three people.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
I could definitely I can split them up if you
want me two three, like split I'm like four four
four yeah, okay for a second, let me go, let me.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Get let me go to people.

Speaker 11 (25:07):
Okay, yeah, let me get to people. Wow.

Speaker 8 (25:09):
So you have two different girlfriends different okay?

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Yeah, like yeah, take care of them all.

Speaker 7 (25:17):
Okay, So, uh, give me the names of the of
the two lucky ladies. Then Nick, what's the first name? Uh?

Speaker 1 (25:26):
You Michelle?

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Uh?

Speaker 11 (25:28):
What what.

Speaker 8 (25:30):
Is it her nickname?

Speaker 5 (25:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Totally okay?

Speaker 8 (25:34):
And then what would you like to put on the
card for wet?

Speaker 2 (25:37):
What?

Speaker 11 (25:38):
But what?

Speaker 1 (25:39):
What think about you? All the time?

Speaker 8 (25:42):
Okay? Okay? And then who's the other girl?

Speaker 2 (25:45):
For you?

Speaker 11 (25:45):
Nick?

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Let's say the next next batch to bath?

Speaker 8 (25:49):
Okay, to bath? And what would you like me to
put on the card from Beth?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Let's what's it up this time?

Speaker 7 (25:54):
Let's go?

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Uh, I'm always.

Speaker 9 (25:57):
Faking of view.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Wow, so wait a say, yeah, that's kind of becoming
quite apparent here. Hey, Nick, what's up, dude? Bud A
little wake and baked this morning?

Speaker 8 (26:08):
How much have you smoked this morning?

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Nick's?

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (26:15):
On a scale of one to ten, how baked are
you right now? Nick? I'm just curious. Hey, Nick, I
have some bad news that I'm going to see if
I can explain, because it's it's hard to explain to
a guy who's not baked out of his mind. But
it's really not your phone company totally. It's really not

(26:36):
your phone company. It's the Dave Ryan in the Morning show,
and we have on the phone right now. You're kind
of on again, off again girlfriend wet Wet wet Wet, Michelle.
You never told me your nickname is wet Wet?

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Why would I tell anyone that's.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Anymore?

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Because I'm no longer his girlfriend because he's a cheating
hey hard.

Speaker 11 (27:02):
Okay? So har.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Who is who is Becka?

Speaker 9 (27:06):
Who?

Speaker 1 (27:07):
You know?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Who Michelle is? In wet Wet? But now who is
who is Beth? Because you want to send flowers to
three different girls and you narrowed it down to two girls,
so that's not that bad.

Speaker 9 (27:21):
You know.

Speaker 8 (27:24):
Who's Amber? By the way, that was my other question.
Who was Amber kept calling her Amber, do you remember?

Speaker 11 (27:31):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Amber?

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Not quite sure with you on that one.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
But uh, okay, wait a second, okay, okay, So now
you understand that this is kind of a bad thing
for you because your girlfriend Michelle is now kind of
busting you sending roses not only to her but also
to this other girl, Beth. That's not really a good thing.

Speaker 9 (27:58):
Yeah, uh, losing one.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
He's I don't think I've ever been as stoned as
this guy sounds like he is right now.

Speaker 8 (28:11):
I don't think he even knows what's going on?

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Does he sound? Let me ask you a question. You're
at work?

Speaker 8 (28:19):
Are we being plunk right now?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Seriously? Is the joke on us? I have no idea
are you You're at work right now? But see, this
is the thing that I like the message. I like
the message because we took notes on this one. The
first message was to Michelle that said, wet wet, I
think about you all the time. But you wanted to

(28:42):
be different for the second one, so you said to Beth,
I'm always thinking of you.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yeah, my dad was a writer, so you know, I kind.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Of, oh, come on, who's who are you?

Speaker 8 (28:56):
I feel like I feel like we're.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
Being played a joke on, but I kind of I
hope we're not, because I hope people like this actually exists.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Nick is lovely, Michelle, are you still? Are you still
with us?

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I'm just shocked at what I'm more on he is
and I'm just Nick gets over here is no once again? Okay,
you wrought me for good and you know we have
to over the cool beth is.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Dude, I have to ask you. Did your mom really
leave her thong in your bed?

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Did stay in the house?

Speaker 9 (29:28):
You know, well, I crashed on the couch.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
You use the room.

Speaker 8 (29:32):
Why does your mom take a throng off in your bed?

Speaker 9 (29:34):
Oh no, she's a freak.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Okay, all right, I'm gonna let you to go. This
is too big a man. Listen. Seriously, Michelle, if you're
really interested in this guy and you look into his
eyes and melt, I think if I'd look to do
his eyes and make my eyes sore, I think I'd
get a contact.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Oh my god, Oh we laugh on laugh on Nick.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Honey, you know what series like go Run, Go Back, Runway,
Wet Runaway, Go back to your mom and dad's house. Seriously,
I don't think you're missing out on much on this one. Okay, honey, Nick,
any final words? Perfect. He's driving a bus right now.
That's the amazing thing. He's driving a school bus right now.

(30:18):
It's awesome. School Oh my god. Oh I'm sorry, Michelle.
If you really are for real and not just punking us,
I feel bad. I feel bad for you, but you
sound I really don't know. We may never know. Oh
my god. Okay, thanks guys for being on More of

(30:39):
the Roses.

Speaker 8 (30:43):
No, you're not getting any roses.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Okay, I'm taking your kids to school and there it
is War of the Roses for the last time. By
the way, if you ever want to relive War of
the Roses, they're on the iHeartRadio app and that one
is on Puppet Theater. If you go on YouTube, you
can actually look up Dave Ryan Nick the Stoner and

(31:05):
there's a video with puppets and the smoke effect is
just top notch. Shout out to Lena, who did the
whole thing. She was the puppets, she did all the producing,
she did everything, so good job, Lina. Lena's going to
be at the broadcast coming up. We're doing a live
show Mall of America Thursday morning, kind of a farewell show.
My last show will actually be on Friday, but I'd

(31:26):
love to see out there. We're having the KWB, like
everybody who's ever been on the show is going to
be there and extreme Jamie Lee Wohlsvick, I want to
try and go in order, Angie Taylor Wilson, Corey Foley,
Lena Intern, John Steve O. Who am I forgetting Fallon?

(31:49):
And then everybody from this show? Did I forget anybody?

Speaker 9 (31:53):
So?

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Like, Okay, do you think Lena and I could maybe
hold hands?

Speaker 2 (31:56):
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (31:58):
I love Lena so much.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
She doesn't know you.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
She does.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
I guess she's heard of you, but she doesn't know you,
she commented back to me.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yeah, we're going to try and hold her hand.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Sorry, Juddie, I'm so sorry. It's okay.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
I understand.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Somebody just texted a minute ago they said, why didn't
that make it on a state Fair T shirt? I'm
taking your kids to school? Actually it did. Where were you?
It made it a state Fair long sleeve and a
State Fair short sleeve, So they're out there somewhere.

Speaker 5 (32:27):
You had that shirt whenever I first moved here, like
I think twenty twenty three so I hadn't got the reference,
and I was like, why do people care about I'm
taking your kids to school?

Speaker 3 (32:34):
I didn't get that yet.

Speaker 9 (32:35):
Someone texted and saying, listening to this War of the
Roses playback vividly remember being pregnant with my daughter at
the time. She just drove to school sophomore year. Now
she's fifteen, and that's from Angie. Oh wow driving at fifteen. Oh,
she probably drove me, I got. Somebody says via text,
I'm so curious what Nick the Stoner is up to now.
I bet he's a high level insurance executive Mary driving

(32:56):
a luxury car and thriving four oh one k lol.
I Oh, by the way, somebody says it's Chrisco going
to be there, And you know, Chris Co works at
another radio station, so he can't be there, but he
will be on the phone, and he said he'll swing
by after his show at nine o'clock.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
So that's all I need, is freaking Crisco taking attention
away from me. Yeah, and become over. I remember when
Chris Go and like Wes and Dad showed up are
booth in the State Fair.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
They were nice.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
They were basically they're all very very nice people, most
radio people are, and then all of a sudden, people
are lining up to get a picture with freaking Crisco
and Wes and Dez and I'm like, booh, forgot us.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
Both.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
At least KATWB was in the background.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah, that is true. We're gonna do a
quick round of what's on your radar on Katiewgbvon's gonna
go first.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
Yes, I mentioned earlier during the dirt I watched it's
called The Crash, and it's based on a real story
nineteen the three nineteen to twenty year olds uh drive
in one early one morning they getting a car crash.
Unfortunately two of them passed away, but they made a
documentary because it didn't seem like an accident. It's a
little dark, but Netflix has been on it with the documentary.
So on my radar is the Crash.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
That sounds really good. Okay, mine is Jostin's. Jostin's here
in Minnesota. They do yearbooks and class rings and they're
making me a class ring as a farewell gift. And
I said I wanted my face in the middle, and
they said, are you serious. I said no, no, no,
So it won't be ready for a few weeks. But
once it's ready, I'll slap it up on the Gram
so you can take a look at it. So shout
out to Jostin's on my Radar This week, I.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Just started watching a show that so many people are
on right now. It's called Off Campus. It's on Amazon Prime,
and holy crap, if you want to get horned up,
prepare yourself. I think it's called off Campus. That's you
for a friend, Yeah, Billy, I think you'd really like
it too, because it's all about like a music student
and like the star hockey player at the university teaming
up for like a scheme, but like the sexual chemistry

(34:54):
in it is just megna fique. And I've had so
many people tell me that they've already watched the whole
season and went back and started rewatching it already.

Speaker 9 (35:02):
Is it like, is it like one of those I
need you to pretend to me my boyfriend and then
we're actually gonna fall for each other?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Exactly? Pretty much?

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Fabulous.

Speaker 9 (35:09):
Love That on my radar is the kickoff to Summer
at the Fair, which starts Thursday and goes through Sunday,
and it's I love it. They started it during COVID
to give everybody like a taste of the fair after
it had been like closed down.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
So it is just like a little version of the fair.
So it's just like two hours. You can be in
and out.

Speaker 9 (35:31):
You get cheese curds, you get you know whatever, Prono pops,
all of those kind of fun things. And that again
is kickoff to the Fair at the fair Grounds obviously
Thursday through Sunday.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I think they should have it Monday. It's a Memorial Day.
They should have it Monday point.

Speaker 9 (35:46):
I know, I'm definitely going on Friday night, and I
might end up just going again on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
I don't know, you guys, I love the fair so much,
so I probably will go.

Speaker 5 (35:55):
Tithe all right, one more time back around the horn.
My radar is it's called The Crash on Netflix's documentary.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Mine is Josin's Class Rings. And they do such a
beautiful job. And I'll do one for any occasion. I mean,
if you want to do one for your dad's retirement,
you want to do one for you, maybe you've like
endured twenty years at three m and you deserve a ring.
They can make one for you. It's actually really cool.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
And mine is a show on Amazon Prime that you
can watch. It's called Off Campus.

Speaker 9 (36:22):
Mine is Kickoff to Summer at the Fair starting Thursday
going through Sunday.

Speaker 2 (36:25):

any of those, they'll be online on Dave Ryan Show
on Instagram. We've got MGK tickets to give away right now.

Speaker 5 (37:32):

to be honest.

Speaker 2 (37:38):

What about POV pov pov pov. I'm gonna do what

Oh, we're visiting my cousins.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
I love that. Okay, here are Vaughn's going to give
you an acronym? Is it two out of three? V? Yes?
Does it?

Speaker 7 (38:27):

Speaker 3 (38:27):

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Two out of three for MGK? All right? Ready, your
first one is CEO course.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Chief of executive, chief executive officer.

Speaker 2 (38:41):

Speaker 3 (38:45):
All right, you got one. Oh you need to get
this next one, and you got it FOMO.

Speaker 11 (38:51):
Fear of missing out.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
And just because you're on a roll, let's see if
you can get this one. I'll make it a little
more complicated. I see why, am I? I? I weekly
repeat that, I see why am I?

Speaker 6 (39:07):
This one's a little trick here that is I yeah, yeah,
you the acronym queen. Okay, I've never heard that one. Destiny.

Speaker 2 (39:18):

O Heay, would you please tell us a story? Mailie
is not here to pretend like she's a little kid
right now where she's like, tell us a story Dave.
So I'm going to ask you to tell us a
classic story, and the one I specifically would like to
hear is the one that involves Carson.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
And a recorder.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Would you be willing to story, Jane? No, But it
also shows that you're a human being, and we need
to remember remember that.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Okay, Carson's about five years old and I'm in my
office at home, sitting there working on some stuff and
emails or concentrating or something like that. And uh, hi,
Pastor Catherine, Oh my god, it's you in person. Came
there and give me a hug. Can here give me
a hug. You're wearing Jesus on your shirt. You smell

(40:23):
good for a pastor. I've never said that to a
pastor before. Well, that could be a priest, and that
would be confession. Yeah, yeah, do you do confessions?

Speaker 4 (40:36):
She's a pastor?

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Sure? Okay, who'd you bring with you? I'm Molly, Molly,
give me a hug. Okay, here we go.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
I've never had two pastors and one rest.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Catherine lives in South Carolina. I'm joking. I'm joking. It's
North Carolina and you've never been Grab a microphone over there,
will you please Okay, So Pastor Catherine, you've never been

that's right. Okay. Then you moved away and left.

Speaker 4 (41:08):
Moved away and left you. Yeah yeah, And so I'm visiting.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
And you came up here just for the occasion.

Speaker 4 (41:14):
Well, as soon as I heard that you were retiring,
I booked a flight and I had to make it
right away, I mean, just right out for that.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
I'm so glad you're here.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Not really, I was coming to visit, but I forgot
what's your.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
What's your favorite passage in the Bible? And I really
love this because because it gets people. It gets people
who's like, I don't want to talk about religion on
the show. Oh shut up. We all went to vacation
Bible School, we all went to God, we all went
to something or other, we all got confirmed, we all
went to youth group, we all went to church camp.
And there was always a kid that sprung weed to
church camp? Am I right about that? And there was

(41:47):
always Pastor's kid. It's usually the peak the PK is.
They're the worst ones. So did you bring weed to
Bible camp? Can't say I did. I wasn't a PK.
So yeah, gotcha give me your favorite Bible verse? Yeah, uh,
shortest one, shortest one.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
Jesus wept.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Jesus wept.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
No, not really, I could go in.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
I grew up in a strange church. This was a
strange church. We believe that Jesus died in an ATV accident.
Now you're you're not supposed to laugh at that joke.
Being a woman of God, don't laugh at those jokes.
Don't laugh. You're not laughing. It's it's not funny. So
you know that when Jesus was hanging on the cross,

(42:27):
you know what he said, We go, He said, Peter,
I can see your house from here. I supposed to laugh.
To laugh Pastor, look at how Pastor Catherine is.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
That's because pat you see you.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
She knows. Now, wouldn't you say? God gave us a
rich sense of humor. Okay, God has a sense of humor.
He has a sense of beauty. That's why he gave
us waterfalls and Afghan hounds.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
Yes, an Afghan hounds.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
That's where do you come up with these things? Where
the Bible yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Which edition of the Bible is that?

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Your mama? Three sixteen?

Speaker 6 (43:13):
My mom?

Speaker 2 (43:16):
Perfect. Pastor Catherine, thanks for hanging with us today. Thanks
for we just love you. I think it's so cool
that somebody who is a woman of God finds our show.
Would you describe yourself as a woman of God?

Speaker 5 (43:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Yeah, Okay, good, I hope. So that's part of it. Okay,
that's part of it. And what's in the sermon on Sunday?
Are we doing a sermon on show?

Speaker 11 (43:35):
I'm not so.

Speaker 4 (43:38):
I well we.

Speaker 3 (43:41):
Yeah, I actually have another nine.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
Are you going to the Holy Land or anything like that. No, well,
I'm here, okay, Pastor Catherine, we love you. Relax, hang
outs and enjoy the show.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
We'll do.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (43:55):
Where were we in the middle of Well, you were
telling the classic story of what happened with Carson and
the recorder and Bailey were head to requested it, but
she wasn't there at the moment.

Speaker 9 (44:02):
I love this.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
Story here, Okay, So I'm in my office. This is
such a shameful story, but you asked for it. So
I'm in my office. Carson's about five years old, and
I'm concentrated I'm doing some work. I'm emailing, and I'm
concentrating out in the hallway. Carson's got a recorder. Now
I don't know whether it was Allison's recorder or his
or where he found out, but he's got a recorder
and he's sitting on the stairs outside my office. Doodle, Carson,

(44:28):
Can you not? Can you not do that? I'm trying.
Can you not do Carson? Will you not? I'm trying
to work and I'm trying to think on something. Can
you not play the recorder?

Speaker 11 (44:46):
Do?

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Son of a bee? I went out there and I
snatched it out of his five year old hands, and
I broke it over my knee and I it's so
not me to do something like that. I snapped it
in over my knee and it's so not me to
do something like that. And I've only got like one

(45:13):
parenting story like that where I lost it and that
was it. And I've asked Carson several times do you
remember that? And he either lies and says no, or
he blocked it out, probably brought blocked it out in memory.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
At this point, me and my friend Lexi always kind
of go back and forth, just going.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
So there's that you asked for it.

Speaker 4 (45:38):
More classic stories to come.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
This week, we're getting the tattoo. We are what would
God say about tattoos? Pastor Catherine, Oh you're your pastor?
Tell me your pastor Nate again, Molly, she's covered with him,
covered sleeves and over here too.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
Pesor Catherine has them too. She's going on her wrist
and she.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
Got that one in Bethlehem. Pastor Catherine is wearing a
shirt that's got a picture of a smiling Jesus on
it says and then JK because you know he was
he rose from the dead, and he says, b RB, Yeah, Jesus,
you only live once. Just kidding, be right back, good bitch,

(46:19):
good bit. That's our tattoo. And Arthur's coming in from
a Loha monkey any minute. He might be down in
the lobby right now. So we're gonna do that. Coming
up on the farewell week of the Dave Ryan in
the Morning Show on kd WUB. We're going to maybe
we play a song.

Speaker 4 (46:36):
Yeah, I think we play a song because I'm not
sure you have Arthur's contact.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
I got to get Arthur and bring him up here
for the tattoo. So Bailey and iugreating matching tattoos that
say good bitch.

Speaker 9 (46:45):
Good bit.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
Okay, you guys can join in.

Speaker 4 (46:48):
Too, Jenny, I'm thinking about it, but I don't know.
I did it just impulsively get a tattoo in Bolly,
So I don't know if I should do that, like
two in one week. You know, it goes a little
bit out of my rout.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
B rb JK. All right, why not. We'll play a song.
That's what we do. It's one of what
