Ira Spitzer: US correspondent on the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk - Matt Heath & Tyler Adams Afternoons

The suspect is still at large following the shooting and killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. 

The Donald Trump ally was shot during an event at Utah Valley University this morning and later died in hospital. 

Trump has expressed his shock and sadness and ordered all US flags to half-mast. 

US correspondent Ira Spitzer says Kirk was an influential figure who helped Trump secure the youth vote in the 2024 election - and investigations are currently ongoing.
