have to love you through that, Like you can't just
like oh cool, when you're all good, you're all minds

I'm like, no, we don't do that with kids. We
don't do it with brothers and sisters, Like like no

a partner or somebody that you're that you're dating, or
whatever it is. You guys could be from the same
town city, grew up the same high school.

a relationship in my head. And what's happened since love

not only patience, but acceptance for who the individual actually
really is. Like, stop trying to change people like nobody.

It's not about changing somebody. It's like and it's not
about accepting somebody's bes either. It's about are you trying
to be the greatest version of yourself? Because if you are,
then I'm cool.

Somebody friend of mine had a drink and he went
on a whole thing where he doesn't drink anymore, and
then this one year he just kind of slipped back
into it. That's my friend, Like, yeah, man, you was

Come on back in here, eat some ribs or something.
Let's have a good time. Hold the drinks, don't drink.

Now when you don't, when you really actually not trying
and you're not tired.

Sleep is a big thing.

It's like your brain isn't really perfectly functioning as and
in this business, you're not really sleeping like that. And
I'm definitely not. I work like around that clock, the
two hours a day, manageable, manageable hours that I get
to try to sleep and then wake up and participate,

which is all gonna hear. It's going to be a
theme of my life now. Participate in somewhat nonsense when
it comes to life in general, like when you find
out about homelessness and about this and He's like, why
is this still happening? This is nonsense. We're just participating.
We're just gonna act like we can't make that go
away here, we just said how many things?

Because there's so much intensity and things going on in
the world that it makes even creating feel a little silly.
But you can't because that's what helps people manage the
chaos and the nonsense. Definitely, so it is important.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
So by the way, yeah, my own creativity helps me
manage it, that's my point.

But your creativity also helps.

Other people manage which means you're calling you know, you're
doing a bigger thing at the exhaustion of yourself. And
I don't think anybody really realizes that. And I have
my person now that realizes, Man, you you tired, and
I know it.

You're not going to stop, but I know that you.

I get it. And so even if my my child,
my daughter is pulling on my leg, hey you pick
me up from school tomorrow. My wife's like game, and
I'm like, yes, she said, why why you do that?
I was like, I'm gonna try, and I do and
I do it. Like if I look at her now
and say I'm gonna do it, then I do it.
I'm dying though, definitely, I'm hping myself up like carpool Lane,

carpoo lane. I'm here, I'm here. I know I slept
an hour, yeah, but I'm here and she's having a
delightful time. She get back and now I gotta go
through the thing all over again, you know. And so
it's things like that you have to do so much.

I just love doing it.

And I created a lot of little people, so partially
my fault.

And how many kids you got now? A lot? How many?

other thing that makes me log off and just start

overall and am I doing enough? I Have I done
enough to keep them safe? And things like that. But
ultimately that that's the difference between that love hate dream

then versus and I me and NIV did have you know,
children at that point, but it was still different than
how it is now. As life goes on, and you know,
you can see something even bad happen to a certain
kid and you're like, man, please don't put me in
that predicament, because I don't really know what I would do.
You know, my daughters or my sons in that predicament.

So so yeah, a lot has changed the idea of
what love is changed. I like the word like comes
up more than love. Now, m I gotta like you.
I can love you from anywhere. Matter of fact, I'll
give you some money to stay over there.

I don't know what it is like. I just try
to I try to do my best to look out
if they called me, or I'm calling them, looking out
for them speaking on their behalf or whatever it is,
because that didn't really happen for me when I was
coming up. It was it was way too much competition
with the older guys than it should have been. And
I don't. I don't want to be that guy. And

and I'm unafraid of that space. Are unafraid of growing old,
like I don't. I actually enjoy the idea of saying no.
No comes with getting older. You're like, no is the
best thing? Can you come? No?

I love coming down there. I said no like three
times this week. It felt really good.

I felt like I did have the one second of God,

up to be able to do things you actually really
want to do things. It's kind of it's amazing you

the top thirty in the world, and then you go

I think I'm actually very surprised certain people are finding
certain records on this new album and they're like, yo,

I'm like, I didn't think we were in a time
where you were going to find a certain thing. I
put things there hopeful like maybe you can hear this
amongst all the things.

There's definitely a lot. I just got it so I
haven't had time to stay with it. But there are
some nods. There's a lot of like Easter eggs from
the first project already I in my one listen that
I've been able to get because I just because I
like stringing things two together.

I like them having some type of thing from one
thing to the other. Sound can change. That's what I
tell people about production all the time. Production is just
how the drums are, how this is a particular time,
and what genre is if it's poppy, using different drums
and different tempos. But the songwriting itself, what the song
is about, and those particular things are things I like

to tie into one another. You can hear what I
learned just based on one album listening to the next
one and saying, oh, oh, he thinks a little bit
different about their bread now than he did.

do that. And so I'm definitely probful about b I

connection that even even with the connection of it is
something you can't plan that. It's not an intentional thing,

extremely prideful in it. But her career spans so far

we already knew what special from the start is already
