Speaker 2 (06:36):

Picnic Day? A big giant watermelon? Yeah right right, And

That is what I played. And my my I remember
the one line I was, I was one, No, it

(08:34):
was I was Macbeth. I remember one line off the
top of my head, Well, all great Neptune's oceans, wash
this blood clean from my hand. No, this my hand
will rather the multitudinous seas in Canderine making the green

(08:59):
one red.

Speaker 10 (09:01):
Do you know what my line was when I was
a snail? Yes, tell us Are you ready? Yes, there

Speaker 9 (09:12):

Speaker 2 (09:14):
H huh. Mine was about Neptune's waters, just saying.

Speaker 9 (09:19):
That's crazy talk about blood. How old were you five?
You were talking about nine blood?

Speaker 12 (09:26):
Nine?

Speaker 2 (09:27):

(10:17):
love cherries, but I don't want it on my cheesecake. Thanks,
we'll have to agree to disagree. So I want Shakespeare. There,
go ahead, that was your talk like Shakespeare moment.

Speaker 10 (10:28):
Yeah, it does start making fun of me.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Okay, okay, Yeah, that's It's National English Muffins Day. It's
National German Beer Day as well. There you go, and
it's national Hey, we're out of time. It's seven to eleven.
This is Good Morning, Orlando. Top stories we are following
for you this morning include Michael is expected to make

(10:55):
millions in its theatrical debut. That Michael Jackson biopic starring
here nephew Jaffa Jackson is projected to make between sixty
five and seventy million dollars in its first weekend in theaters.
I was going to see that. I'm not now because
there no part of that movie includes the potentially bad stuff.
If you're gonna do it, you've got to do it right.

(11:17):
Updates at least every ten minutes on these stories throughout
the morning, right here on Good Morning, Orlando.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Good morning Orlando, reminding you that yes is morning, Yes
you're awakened.

Speaker 12 (11:29):
Yes we're all doing our best, well maybe not our best,
but we're all doing something. News Radio WFLA, Orlando.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Well, good morning, Orlando, it is seven point fifteen. Delighted
to welcome back to the show the former Speaker of
the Florida House and current gubernatorial candidate, Paul Rener. He
is holding a press conference later on this morning. We
get to preview what he's talking about right now. Welcome back.
So how are you?

Speaker 11 (12:05):
Thank you sir, great to be with you.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
So you're going to host a press conference on artificial intelligence.
Talk to us about this and protecting Florida families.

Speaker 13 (12:18):
Well, it has two components.

Speaker 11 (12:19):
I'll start with the protections, and I'm very supportive of
what the governor is trying to do in the AI
Bill of Rights. It protects adults to know when they're
dealing with AI versus a human being, but it also
protects our children from exploitation from AI. I think we
can go even further with respect to that and make
sure that we have protections against data privacy. We see

(12:42):
in social media the use without your knowledge of or
consent of your personal data and so we've had we
passed a large bill to protect data privacy when I
was leading the legislature, and in the same way, we
have to make sure to protect against AI threats. We
saw the governor highlight a woman who lost child to suicide.
And the difference is AI, artificial intelligence's technology has no

(13:06):
soul and has no moral compass. And so when a
child types in you know, I'm thinking about taking my
own life. Rather than a parent who would say let's
stop and talk about it, we need to we need
to know what's going on, the AI chatbot just simply
says here are ten ways to do it, and that
child ultimately took his own life through conversing with an
AI chatbot.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
And of course the FSU shooter had allegedly had an
AI partner, and in fact, the Attorney General will be
joining us on the show tomorrow to talk about that
very thing. Okay, let's go to the federal government level,
because the current administration would rather states like Florida did nothing,

(13:53):
and they don't want to patchwork of laws. They want
the federal law to do with all of this. What
do you say to that.

Speaker 11 (14:02):
Well, I would be all for strong, robust, federal protections.
The problem is we know that the federal government struggles
to get anything done and in the meantime, and the
same is true of data privacy when I was leading
the legislature. The same is true of our protections against
kids getting onto very aggressive online pornography or addictive social
media platforms. All of those things could have and she

(14:25):
really should have a high federal standard. The problem is
they're not doing anything. They're incapable of doing anything. Congress
is the place where good ideas go to die, and
so it's appropriate and Florida has always led the way.
The governor has led the way. I've led the way
when I was leading the legislature in these types of
reforms that I just mentioned. And we have to do
the same thing on data on AI protections for both

(14:47):
adults and children. And let that be the model for
the federal government when they can get around to it
in between sexual harassment charges and shutdowns and everything else
they do up there other than solve problem to have
a federal standard. But in the meantime, we owe it
to our citizens to protect our citizens here, and that's
what I'll do when I'm governors put Florida first, and

(15:08):
thorians first.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Okay, I don't disagree with what you said. The Federal
I don't know why anyone even runs for that place anymore.
It's I would I would tell what little hair I
have left out of my head if I had to
work in that place. Okay, So you're holding this press
conference today, you're talking about protecting Florida families. Let's deal

(15:33):
with the adults. I think everybody understands. We want to
protect our kids. Right. This stuff can be predatory. It
can actually lead to death. We've seen that, and so
we absolutely have to protect our kids. Protecting adults. That's
really about data, isn't it.

Speaker 11 (15:50):
What's about data. It's about not using your name, image
and likeness for commercial purposes. You know they can They
do it to me all the time. You know, they'll
create an image of me and you look at it
and like that's early me, that's you know, it's three
different people in one but it kind of sort of
looks like me, but it's not. And using that for
commercial purposes again, engaging with you and you think you're

(16:10):
engaging with a human being, you're really engaging with AI
to give some periodic notice that you know you're dealing
with that. These types of things are all protections for adults.
But the other piece of the press conference that we're
going to talk about today is the affordability piece of
the AI data centers being built here in Florida, and
we'll really kind of lead with that. We're supportive of

(16:31):
what the governor is doing in the special session to
put that bill back on the agenda for the legislature
because they failed to get it done during the regular
session and have another try here coming up at the
end of the month when the legislature convenes there in Tallahassee.
To protect us from the technology. But I'm talking about

(16:51):
also today the protection from AI data centers driving up
our electric rates, destroying our aquifer, destroying our water supply,
and it's a real threat to affordability. We just got
off an affordability tour and we're going to make sure
to reduce the cost for fluidians and AI data centers
take us in the wrong direction, right.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
A data centers they use enormous amounts of well, let's
split them into power first of all, and I think
the answer is actually pretty simple. They need to build
their own small reactors. We're very good at doing that.
We put them on submarines, so we know how to
build small nuclear reactors, and France does it all the time.

(17:35):
I think that should be a requirement, frankly before we
approve a data center, that they have to supply their
own power.

Speaker 11 (17:42):
Well, I agree with you completely, and I've said they
have to bring their own power in their own water.
The problem is they're not offering to do that just yet,
and so the burden is on them, not on us.
And so there's this race and they, you know, cite
national security. Look, we want to beat the Chinese and AI,
but that doesn't mean we need to up Florida with
AI data centers. It's just not a good spot for it.

(18:03):
We already have a grid that we saw during the
freeze here a couple months back that challenged some of
the electrical companies to keep the power on, to keep
that heat going when it was twenty degrees outside. And
this will put a huge draw for perspective, A one
gigawatt facility, one of these large ones is the equivalent
of eight hundred thousand people, that equivalent electrical usage. So

(18:25):
you PLoP that down even in a place like Orlando,
a big place with a lot of people.

Speaker 14 (18:29):
You're going to.

Speaker 11 (18:29):
Feel that that's going to increase your electric rates because
you're now sharing that grid with this data center, and
imagine dozens of those in the Orlando area and the
smaller ones. There's already some here in this area today.
And so my point is we need to hit the
halt button, the stop button, and make sure that they

(18:50):
meet that burden that you talked about, have their own grid,
have their own power. They cannot be on our grid
because they'll get you one way or the other when
it comes to rate increases. We'll all be subsidizing these
AI data centers in our electric bill.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Paul Renod wants to be our governor. Thank you, sir.
We appreciate you coming on this morning, and have a
successful day and we will talk to you again. It
is seven to twenty three. Interesting stuff, isn't it. This

month while serving in the Middle East during a drone
attack by Iran. The thirty five year old graduated from
FSC in twenty fourteen. To honor Cody, the school established
a scholarship in his name and dedicated a conference room

(27:51):
to him. With News, I'm Karen Curtis.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Starting your day with good Mourning Orlando. Like opening your
blinds but without the eye damage. News RADIOFLA, Orlando.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
By Good Morning, Orlando. It's seven thirty six on this Friday,
Eve the weekend. We'll start tomorrow. I'm excited and hopefully
you are having a good day. We've got to talk
back on egg prices from Eddie. I couldn't hear it,
so we're gonna try a different way to play it.
Let's hit that Good.

Speaker 15 (28:28):
Morning, Simon, just said Eddie from Davenport, Florida. If you
buy egg Land Best eggs. Yeah, there's six dollars a dozen,
but I can get a dozen eggs at publics for
two seventy five, or you can get that big eighteen trade,
you know, for cheaper.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
So I'm not.

Speaker 15 (28:49):
Sure where Lizzie's getting her some, but hey, I'm just saying,
good morning, game till Florida.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Are they seeing you coming Lizzie? Is that what's going
on here? Yeah, she's willing to pay six bucks, let's
go for it.

Speaker 9 (29:05):
Probably that's a good possibility. That's a very good possibility
for sure.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Uh huh mm hmm. Well I thought would you being
in the Turkey game, you wouldn't be buying much in
a way of eggs.

Speaker 9 (29:15):
Okay, my my, my hens, my turkey hens. I don't know.
They're they're doing their own thing, like I don't know,
because I don't force them to go into apparently, I
don't force them to go into like a closed area
to sleep at night or so they can focus on that.

(29:37):
They just they have their own little nest areas throughout
your run.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Unfocused Turkey is what you're telling how women are.

Speaker 9 (29:43):
Yeah, they're independent women. They're just like they throw up
the peace sign. I mean I get. I mean, I
get maybe two eggs a day, but I feed them
to my dogs.

Speaker 10 (29:51):
My body, my choice, right in my am I right,
that's what the hens are saying, probably U.

Speaker 20 (30:00):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
By the way, is brookerwake yet?

Speaker 15 (30:02):
No?

Speaker 2 (30:03):
I haven't.

Speaker 9 (30:03):
No she's If she is, she's working on iHeart stuff,
so she won't answer her phone, so which respectful? I mean,
you know she's got stuff she kind of do for us.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
So okay, all right, Well, mem I mentioned the movie
Michael that's coming out, so the same people that made
Bohemian Rhapsody are apparently involved in this. I love Bohemian Rhapsody.
The movie. It was very very well done. It was
very believable. So even if they, you know, fictionalize some

(30:36):
of it, it was very believable. The concert scenes were incredible.
How they managed to pull that off with a Wembley
stadium that didn't even exist. The Wembley Stadium is completely new.
It's very different from the one that existed in during
Live Aid. They did a remarkable job, and they included
Freddie's bad stuff, like when he went off to Europe

(30:57):
and he did a load of drugs and and people,
and they included all that weird stuff which happened immediately
before Live. You know, the band hadn't been together for
really quite some time. So anyway, the Michael movie, and
obviously Michael Jackson is incredibly talented or was incredibly talented.

(31:19):
Nobody's denying that, and I'm very interested in all that stuff.
But there was bad stuff, even just the public comments
were weird about kids, and they haven't included any of it,
and I'm wondering, why.

Speaker 9 (31:36):
Well didn't they debunk a lot of that stuff.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Though, well, he tried to debunk a lot of that stuff,
but we actually have him on the record, his own voice,
saying some very weird things about children, and it's not in.
It didn't make it. So I'm kind of bothered by
that that it's like, oh, let's just make him out
to me this perfect human. None of us a perfect

(32:01):
and he was a long way from perfect. And they're
changing the changing skin color, and I mean, there's a lot,
there's a lot on the negative side. And if you're
going to do a bio, I'm sorry, if you're going
to do a biopic, you need to do a biopic,

(32:22):
don't you.

Speaker 10 (32:27):
So what do we think, Well, I mean, I don't know,
once again, a lot of it's been debunked, and so
we just won't count on your fifteen dollars going to
Michael Jackson. Got it.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
I repeat, some of it has been debunked, even you're
not saying all of it's been debunked, so we just
ignore it.

Speaker 9 (32:48):
I you know, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (32:49):
I mean a lot of things can be sayd It's
said about Trump in his biography too, and it's like,
you know, has it been debunked, has not been debunked?
Is he a felon? Is he not a you know
what I'm saying. I mean it's I don't know. I
don't know what's been debunked and what hasn't. But I
just you know, you got guys like Corey Feldman who
are coming out going none of it is true. And

(33:11):
Corey Feldman's not really known a lie a lot.

Speaker 9 (33:13):
So yeah, that's the that's my other things that you know,
at first, I was calling it culkin.

Speaker 10 (33:18):
I mean, you know, yeah, people that were there.

Speaker 9 (33:21):
Yeah, that's the thing is that there's there's a lot.

Speaker 10 (33:22):
Of detecting a lot of kids.

Speaker 9 (33:24):
Yeah, and and and yes, at first I was like, Okay,
this is very weird that an older man has got
these kids and then he has a whole little theme
park set up at his house and and whatnot. And
but then I'm like, now I'm hearing more things and
hearing people coming out saying no, it really didn't happen,
And I'm like, if they were in that industry like
Brook was. Brook was chosen to be in that industry.

(33:46):
And we finally got to the point where we were
given the green light to go for her to go
into this industry when she was young, and I knew
the backside of the industry, and I threw up that.
I said, no, we're not doing it. It was fun
while the last here in Orlando, so I can see
where he would be protecting kids. So I wasn't there.

(34:07):
I don't know, but I just I've seen that side
of the industry.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Okay, all right, Well anyway, I believe there is some
fire here and it's disappointing to me that it's not
included in the movie. So we get presented with this
perfect individual. That's the problem for me. It's seven forty two,
it is good morning, Orlando. You know af from the
oly Dutch top stories. We're following for you this morning,

(34:37):
include Florida officials investigating a nurse accused of sexually battering
a patient at Advent Health in celebration. Deputy say the
woman's breast was groapd as she was waking from paralytic
anesthesia from a medical procedure. Forty five year old Carlos
Herrera faces a charge of abusing a disabled adult. Up

(34:59):
to it's at least every ten minutes on these stories
throughout the morning, right here on Good Morning Orlando.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
This is your brain, This is your brain on Good
Morning Orlando. Any questions NewsRadio WUFLA Orlando.

Speaker 2 (35:17):

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Thank you very much. Right now, let's go talk to
Fox News radios Jonathan Savage. Good morning, Jonathan, how are you?

Speaker 22 (35:53):
Good morning? I'm very good, indeed, thank you, Nice tooch
you again.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
Nice to talk to you. So the president, we're hearing
the ceasefire three to five days? Might it be short?
With what is going on with Iran attacking chips?

Speaker 22 (36:10):
Well, a White House official did initially tell Fox News
that President Trump had extended the ceasefire for three to
five days. That President Trump has now come out and
contradicted that. He said the three to five five day
window is false. There is now no time pressure. There
is no limit here on this ceasefire, no timeline, and
he says no rush because we want a good deal

(36:33):
for the American people. Another comment from him, and backed
up by his Press Secretary Caroline Levitt, does seem to
suggest there's another issue here. They're going to hold out
the attacks, as President Trump, until Iranian leaders can come
up with a unified proposal, Press Secretary Levitt saying that
Iran cannot send a unified message yet, that of course,

(36:53):
is a reference to the confusion that there appears to
be about who's really running.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
The show in a lap, So the ships that are
being attacked. Is that not playing into this at all?

Speaker 22 (37:08):
I think that to an extent, the double blockage out
in the waters there is blocking piece talks as well.
Neither Iran with its control over the Strait of Hormuz,
nor the US, with its blockade of Iranian ports, is
showing any kind of sign of backing down. The US

(37:29):
thinks that this will have a huge economic cost to
Iran that will force them back to accept the American deal.
Iran believes that they have time on their hands and
that the cost of the US will be much greater.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Okay, all right, well we'll continue to watch and see
what develops today. There is a fast moving story, that
is for sure, Jonathan, what is today's bonus?

Speaker 22 (37:54):
Stoy e dirt Simon. At least that's what monkeys in
Gibraltar would tell you to do. That's because scientists have
noticed that monkeys living in your brawl to have discovered
that swallowing soil can calm upset stomachs caused by eating
snacks but offered by or stolen from tourists. They have

(38:15):
noticed that these monkeys eat more dirt if they have
more contact with tourists, and they eat more dirt during
a peak vacation season. So yes, that's an interesting response
to being told you eating too much junk food. Don't
cut down on the junk food.

Speaker 18 (38:33):
Just eat dirt.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Hmm. Interesting, you're getting that from your backyard.

Speaker 22 (38:42):
The monkey the monkeys in once said is not so frequent.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Now a good safe rest of the day. My family
will talk again, so Jonathan Savage, Fox News Radio. We
love talking to him. Stories we're following for you this
morning include one of the most anticipated events of the
NFL off season is here. Round one of the draft

(39:09):
kicks off from Pittsburgh today. The Raiders hold the top
selection and are expected to take Indiana quarterback and Heisman
winner Fernando Mendoza first. Overall, the Dolphins have the eleventh
and thirtieth picks. The Bucks selected at number fifteen. I
hope they get a white out and the Jags don't
have a first rounder after trading up for Travis Hunter

(39:32):
last year. Updates at least every ten minutes on these
stories throughout the morning. Right here on Good Morning Orlando.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Good Morning Orlando, because your coffee needs something to overhear
Usradio WSLA for Orlando.

Speaker 10 (39:50):

at nine am, is going to be your first opportunity

And if you do happen to win, please mention that
you heard it on Good Morning Orlando. Nine opportunities starting

(40:33):
right after nine am. Good luck, good luck.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Indeed, the NFL Draft is tonight, so that means Stemen
will be a little bit ropy tomorrow gonna be old grog.

Speaker 10 (40:45):
I'm gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
Yes, more coffee, more coffee will be required combabulated.

Speaker 10 (40:52):
Than Mike Fabril and uh Diana Rossini.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Hmm. Anyway, Oh isn't he did I not hear he's
going into treatment?

Speaker 1 (41:02):
What?

Speaker 10 (41:02):
Yeah, there's some stuff going on there, still getting to
the bottom.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
What treatment are you going into?

Speaker 10 (41:08):
It's called divorce. I'm sorry, divorce is not funny. That's
not fun I take that back, that's not funny.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
But but I mean, you know, the pictures seem to
tell a story, and I'm just wondering why you feel
treatment is required after that. But anyway, so the bus
will pick at fifteen. After Mike, I'll be a Buck
for life. Evans, let's stop. No knock that. You shouldn't

(41:38):
have said it. Well, you know what I mean, just
like Audie Crook.

Speaker 10 (41:41):
I mean I think crooks something, you know things, Well whatever,
I mean, this is going to be the last pay
day the man's going to get. He's in his thirties.
This is it.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
The Buck said, you know what, We're.

Speaker 10 (41:52):
Not paying you this and he went, okay, well deuces,
I'm out.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Mm yeah, peace out. Anyway, So the Buck's gonna pick
a wide out, No fifteen, What do you think.

Speaker 10 (42:06):
Nope, they're gonna go defense.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Where's there where's the greater need than defense? Apparently, because
that's what everybody's saying. They're not saying white out for Tampa.
M Well, you know, hey, the Bucks have a habit
of shocking people. So we'll see. I think they need
a wide out. Maybe they think they'll they'll be able

(42:29):
to pick one up later after the draft. I don't know, or.

Speaker 10 (42:33):
Maybe you know, there's like six more rounds after tonight,
so maybe they'll just get one a little bit neager.
Remember they didn't take Ohio step Away all that high either,
and he turned out to be really good.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
So yeah, so give me a name who they're picking.

Speaker 10 (42:47):
I don't know. I have no idea. I'm not a
Bucks fan.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Oh haven't you done you on like your like your
draft thing? Haven't you done that? Now?

Speaker 10 (42:54):
I have not I'm not one of those huh.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Okay, Lizzie, who the Buck's gonna pick at fifteen? Word?

Speaker 9 (43:01):
I want to say?

Speaker 2 (43:03):
Yeah, oh god, Brady Brady. Yes, Brady Brady's going to
make comeback. Is he coming into a back up Baker Mayfield?
Or do you think he's going to be QB one?

Speaker 10 (43:16):
She met Mike Brady from the Brady Bunch and he's dead.

Speaker 9 (43:19):
No, I meant Tom Brady. Oh you're so funny there.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
And he's going to be QB one? Do you think again?

Speaker 9 (43:27):
Where else would you say Tom Brady?

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Will you actually, well, there's one small problem with your
with your your analysis, Lizzie. What well, Tom Brady's not
in the draft. He could because he's what fifty am
and left college a long time ago. He can enroll

(43:50):
not in the draft.

Speaker 10 (43:51):
Got to feel for sure, poor man, thirty years.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Can you imagine thirty years of that?

Speaker 9 (43:59):
I make up for it in other ways, you do.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
I cook good, good, excellent. That's good. It's fifty eight.
This is good morning, Orlando,
