observe you earlier participating in what appears to be some
sort of makeshift summer camp that's going on in the
hallways here this week.

We're one family here man. Yeah. Yeah, it's Chad and
Leslie is magic, like you say.

And they got a bunch of kids for the little
summer camp and stuff, you know, and I kind of
like kids.

I ain't gonna say nothing, Yes I am. I ain't
seen no black kids up there? What's going on?

that that's your observation. My first observation was I didn't
see any dodgeball going on.

summer camp as a kid growing up?

Uh? The summer camp that we went to in the
hood was like, uh going to the park on Saturdays,
and getting hot dogs and hamburgers and playing horseshoes and
fishing and swimming.

We didn't go to uh we started Uh. It was
one right No no, no, no, no no. That was downtown.
I stayed in the hole off of One Center and
the on Center. We didn't have the rec center and stuff.
We had Hanky Park. But Hanky Park was for the
up of the people, because you know what I'm saying,
we didn't. We didn't stay in in the home. We

stayed in an apartment. So you know what I'm saying,
like we was the roughimans the people that know know
you know what I'm saying, like, well, no we don't.

now across John Young and stuff and passing the hospital,
and then he had uh On Center School elementary school,

Jones High, and right there on the corner was Nate
Newton and his other brother. They dad on the store

there and he used to give us sandwiches and stuff
long as we was, you know, going to school, doing
the right thing. And then you know what I'm saying,

the neighborhood. And then across the little field before they
built all that little soccer field and baseball field that
it was an open field, and then we had Jones High.
And then across Obt you used to have the Orlando

Drive in on the red where the seven eleven citing
that and the city is, and right across the street
was a bunch of little homes and stuff like that.
And then you go and then you hit Carver Court.
That was the projects over there, and then you go
across from Carver Court, you go all the way down
Anderson and you hit Paramore and Paramore goes all the
way to the end of Church Street. That was the

Black Hotel, the Black Carver Theater, that's where all the
blacks went to the theater at Carver Theatre.

And then on down.

Church Street used to have a police department, and then
uh you had Houey and then across who you had
division division.

I used to be so stinky out there and all that. Well,
he brought them greenhouses and he brought all of them

marijuana plants.
