Speaker 1 (00:00):
Benjamin O'Brien, Nick Ferguson, Grant Smith here with you Broncos
coming off the big win over the Atlanta Falcons, sweeping
the NFC South to the tune to thirty eighty six
and folks, this beatdown.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Wasn't staged like Tyson Paul. It was all Broncos from
the get go.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
This thing was over by the second quarter when Chavonte
punched it at a fourteen to three.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
See you called it a sweep, right, Well, Emily's like
a broom being moved from side to side. No, this
is more like a vacuum, like you just turn on
Hoover's excluse.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I think that analogy works because the NFC South sucks. Yes,
it definitely does.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
And all of that was on display yesterday as the
Falcons flew back to hot Atlanta very cold.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yeah, it was. It was an epic beating. I mean
just just a beatdown like it was to the point
where the Atlanta Falcons put in Michael Pennix Junior at
one point, which reminds me, I, oh, Michael caton a
tip of the cap. Sometimes when I make these wagers online,
I forget about him. But Michael had bet me that

(01:07):
Pennix was gonna go in the first round like way
early and I did not believe that was gonna happen,
and he did. I was, hold on, let me try
that again.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I was rue.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Word won't come out. I was mistaken. I was mistaken.
Michael was correct. So congratulations Michael Caine in the battle
was that I shot him out, you know, on the radio.
So there you go, Michael Kayden, you were correct, sir,
and I was, God, it won't come out. I was
mistaken on that, so we'll go with that. Guy tomorrow
joined Katay Sports Sam Number three diner bar in Glendale

(01:42):
on South Cherry Street. Guys, I have the chance to
enter Broncos Brown's tickets from KOA anytime they're open Broncos Browns.
That's a Monday night football game, so that'll be fun.
Get a little primetime action for these Denver Broncos. This
was a beating goal. I mean, they they they the
defense held Atlanta in check. I had a great conversation

(02:03):
with Mark Zeno, who works for nineteen out a game
on Sunday morning during Broncos warm up, and he was
a little concerned about the Falcons offense. He said they
haven't played new defensive note. Everybody's called them a great offense,
but they hadn't played any defenses of note, and sure enough,
the Broncos were able to completely stemy their offense.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
On the defensive side.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
The Falcons looked like they didn't even field one because
the Broncos were able to do whatever they want, whenever
they want, for whatever reason they want. Bo Nicks finished
four touchdowns, three hundred and seven yards a one hundred
and forty five passer rating Jalil average four point eight
to Carrie Tofan to the average six point six a carry.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You know, we had.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Touchdowns from Litl, Jordan Humphrey, Marvin Mims, who knew he existed,
Nate Adkins had a touchdown, Troy Franklin got a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Wait wait, wait, wait, hold on, I don't think you're
going to just slide that past me talking about well,
Marvin Man didn't even know he existed.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
We knew she existed all alone. We knew we did.
I didn't know the coaching staff he was on the roster.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
They finally they looked down the look They turned the
menu over and saw the dessert menu on the other side.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
We have Marvin Mans.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
No, see, it wasn't that. See, it wasn't that. See
they found this secret menu.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Oh okay, yes, in and out there's special. They wanted
an animal style.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yes, it was a secret menu. Well everyone knew about
all along, but it just wasn't used.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
They didn't, Yeah, they didn't. So anyway, they figured that out.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
We have a Marvin Mans, let's.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Use him, and they did, and he had what a
thirty seven yard I believe touchdown?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Uh there as well.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Uh we we had a field goal attempt that was
not blocked, five extra.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Points that were not blocked.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yes, listen, I told you right.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
I don't want to.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Say the Kancity block was an anomaly, but after so
much attention was being brought to it afterwards, of course
they were going to fix that problem.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yeah. Well everybody got involved.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
You had they interception from Cody Barton, You had sacks
from Malcolm Roach and Jonah Ellis, sacks from Nick Benido.
Somebody on Twitter made the jokes that you're gonna have
to call Poe Knicks Thanksgiving the way he was already
carving up the birds. You know, it was it was
ridiculous out there. That was This is the Broncos that
everybody's been wanting to see.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, I mean, this is exactly in my opinion, this
Guyule was set up perfectly for the Broncos. Obviously, we
were talking about that kind of three to four game,
you know, road and homestand that they were.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Gonna have to face.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
And obviously, after back to back losses one of Baltimore,
one of Kansas City, and obviously you just talked about
the block getting the Falcons. It was almost like the
league did them a favor and this was one of
those games where if you wanted to rebuild your confidence
and pad your stats if you will, this was exactly
the game.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
For the Broncos to be able to do it.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Now, I would have to say, in my opinion of
Broncos undeformed underperformed defensively from this particular standpoint. See, I
was projecting that the Broncos we're gonna have at least
six to eight sacks out there, and the reason I
said that was because of the obvious Kirk Cousins plays.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
With cemen's shoes. But you know, four sacks obviously, Hey,
you take that.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
But I still feel as though this group when they
watch the film, they should be upset with themselves because
there were more sacks out there for them to take.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
We get a four man rush because its what we
hit from behind and down he goes, and that is
Nick Fondo. He ran past the chip attempt of one
of the backs and then just beat Jake Matthews around
the corner.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I never run past the chip. I see the pringles.
I stop right there.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
You're the guy the party and we have to watch
because you're like George the Stanzas. You want a double
do the triple dip that triple think exactly exactly what
I'm talking about, all that type of god.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yes, but you come to.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
A party, He's like a special bowl of chips just
for you.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
No, this should be there's a a the dip. I
will take and make my own separate bowl of dip
and then walk around. See that that's the thing. You
can't do that way. I can double it in my own.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Well it's not the community did right, It's not just okay,
Bijamin r.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Bright sees it. He takes it for himself, right, I
mean I did. It's there for that. No, it's not.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
See, it's the same way you but the chips in
the dip are the same way when you give a
viewpoint on Twitter about a given thing, you just hoard it,
just all yours, all by yourself, and that's it.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Well, as freak Nasty said, when you put your hand
uff on your hip, when I dip you get you.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Just quoted freak Nasty, Well.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
I showed the night. You know, we're reframing everything.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Bro goes to the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Actually, the schedules starting to set up real nice, though.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
We gotta We got a game against the Raiders next weekend.
It is the money, and I gave me against a
class a Monday night game against the Browns here at home.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Then the bye week by week Yes, then you got
the Holts and all three of those games are very winnable.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
You win those games almost. The Broncos are nine to five.
They put themselves in the playoffs. Brow you have put
yourself in the bracket. You gotta get one win out
of the last three. At that point, Cincinnati's probably checked out,
if they've with all du respector grant, they've probably checked
out at that point. With all due respect to grant,
the offense is just doing their thing, the defense, the
kicking game. It's not we gotta talk about that in

(07:24):
a minute, or wait, Kansas City. You know how Andy
Reid like the rest of starters, Kansas City last week
of the season.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Either one of those two could beat could be kind
of getting gainst.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
See.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
The funny thing is, if you look at.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
This thing at the beginning of the year and I'd
ask you pick one of these three games at LA,
at Cincinnati or Kansas City to win, everyone in the
sound of my voice right now would have picked LA.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
And right now, if I.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Had to pick one of those three games that they.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Were gonna lose, everybody in the sound of my voice
would pick LA.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Hey man, the Charge is playing great football. And I
said it before at the beginning of the season, I
always thought that the Bronco would split with the Chargers,
right and running the game here at home was going
to be one of those games. But the Broncos dropped
that game, and that game, in my opinion, will.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Come back to haunt the Broncos in some way.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
It's funny because the biggest score disparity has been Baltimore
in the Broncos, right, But the biggest beatdown the Broncos
got was from the Chargers. They took their foot off
the gas at twenty two? Was it twenty three to nothing?
In the third court? They took their foot off the gas.
They really think they took their foot off the game.
Believe they took their foot off the gas at twenty
three nothing. I don't think so. Listen, we watched that game,

(08:36):
we were attendance of that game.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
But the Broncos defense, you have to say to switch
to electric.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Kitchens because I couldn't hear anything going.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Hey, they did their part to kind of slow things
down as much as they could, but looking at the
back half of the schedule obviously sets that well for
the Broncos to make someone of a run, to make
somewhat of a statement to everyone else, like, hey, listen,
maybe you didn't have us on the radar at the
very beginning, but we have somewhat turned the corner. Our

(09:05):
defense has always been stout Baltimore game. Let's scratch it
out right, because that was kind of an anomaly. But
look at our quarterback. He has now started to develop.
He is now looking better. There's better play calling. They're
setting players up. They've taken Marvin Mims off the shelf
and inserted him in the kind of restaurant menu, the

(09:27):
secret menu. So there's a secret sauce that's going on.
So the broadcos have to kind of continue it like
McDonald's in KFC where the secret sauces.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Well, I was gonna go with spaghetti sauce, and he's
the basil. You know, it's still spaghetti sauce, but you
put the basil.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
He's doing spaghetti sauce. Normal people that like people. Bazel's good.
What's right mean? You put Bezels spaghetti sauce? Okay. I
didn't say there was a problem with Bezu.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
I said there's a problem putting Bezu in' spaghetti sauce.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Who does that?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
I'm gonna need you guys help on this five six
six nine Zo, there is a normal thing?

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Who does not? Who grant?

Speaker 1 (10:01):
I'm appealing to you yourself.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Always there's always basil in your spaghetti. You put basil
in the spaghetti sauce five six six nights. There we
need to we gotta, we gotta get nick on this one.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Listen, I grew up in the city, right, you know,
maybe I didn't put bazil in my spaghetti sauce because
that was a little too high class.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Bro I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
I just port the rag right into the pane. Hey,
like they say, Preco is in there, right, So.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
There's the flavors you can get you basil.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Listen, I'm telling you, Basil wasn't in the supermarket that
we sat there, the original.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Regular, Yes, and on sale regular.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
That's it, growing all that fancy stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Oh my goodness, five six six years of text like, yeah,
I gotta tell Niki's wrong about that Basil. Now you're
gonna go home and do it next time you have
tomato sauce? Is a pull a basil in there?

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Probaly shure, enjoy put some basil with I'm telling you, Well,
you put cheese, you put onions, you put beef for
turkey in it.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Wait, what basil beef or turkey? Put turkey in a
spaghetti sauce? Well, what do you mean? I'm confused?

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Now, how did you eat.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Your apasta just marinaro sauce and just pasta?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Well no, you make some some meat balls or something
and then you you know, that's where you get the
turkey and the he's Italian sausage.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
No, So you guys are sorrow too high class you're
talking about Italian sausage.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
No, man, we just had packs of beef and do
a ground beef and season it up. But if you
really would to class it up.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I'm gonna tell you like this, even when we could
not afford beef and turkeys getting his headphones.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Hey, you know, let's cover.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
We boilt some francs, chopped them up, threw it in
there with it, Marionaro sauce franks.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yes, oh man, yeah, it's all fits.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, here we go.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Spaghetti sauce without basil is just noodles with sauce on it,
cookie spaghetti right now. Basil is key Basil absolutely uh
the three six. Oh, my girlfriend's family grew up literally
just a jar of cheap spaghetti sauce on some noodles
and frozen meatballs.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
I've started making my own homemade sauce. Basil is a must.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Because somebody here's Tom last, somebody here's trying to say
I'm wrong about something.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
So I'm just gonna skip over that one. The three six.
My parents eat ground turkey instead of you. Okay, so
I might be wrong on the turkey one.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I might be now, okay, see I use Italian sausage
if you're making meatballs.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
You take what you have, you rolled it up, you
fied up or whatever.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Liked, or you use the bread crumb to get it
to stick together. See man, bread crumbs. Yeah, he's bread
crumbs to get its second adhesive keeps the meatballs.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, that is forgetting. I grew up in the inner city.
You talking about some bad breakthrusb right man. I know
if I had the joy of a welfare Christmas, I
know what it's like. Okay, okay, So here's what our
bread crumbs were like. Wonder bread. You take the wonder bread, you.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Get it off, do the hands hands to get rub
hands together.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
In the bread covers. That's what I'm saying. The bread
crawl like.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
But that's what that makes me adhesion for the meat
ball to stick together. People didn't realize they were turning
into bold as Country tonight.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
I'm just that's what the BC really stands for.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
You threw that in there, and I was like, and
here I was trying to get into the rigs, you know,
Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
But it were you know, we got a much better
topic here. You got a rigged food fight right here.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Somebody just asked.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
If you put boloney in there. Hell no.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
First of all, if you know you grew up in
a certain demographic, you grew up and.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
The parachute, you got to cut it in the center, right, Yes,
that's how you knew that you grew up in a
certain income bright.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
I still love some good fried by off for Meyer,
straight from the grocery.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Baloney. Oh, hell yeah, I can't. I can't do it anymore.

Speaker 6 (13:53):
I guess then you'll get paid when I get paid.
You know, Boloney is an option.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
It's always had the first name. Yeah, I think what
you get paid is bolodey.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Sir.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
Hey, By the way, if anyone knows a good Chinese
place in the Tech Center, let me know, because we're
trying to make some food in here.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Everything is closed, so actually I know one shouldn't be closed, though,
I'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
What holiday is then. I don't think so is it?
They could be. I've clicked on.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Dles. We're just talking because there's nobody here.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Oh my goodness. The four one seven.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
The guy who picks a twenty dollars gallon of apple
juice thinks Basil's bougie name was mart Nose.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
By the way, I brought in.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
The cran pineapple juice for you guys to try. So
I will let you.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Guys have a glass of this delicious nectar of the
gods here a little bit later. I do want to
talk about this by Tyson thing real quick, because man,
the thing is this.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Did you watch this thing?

Speaker 6 (14:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (14:51):
I watched it red with with a smile on my face.
My wife was in the full panic because she didn't
want Mike to get knocked out. And I saw like
the first round when Mike came out, Uh he was
he was punching, yeah, and then all of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I was like, hey, why anymore? My son was like
what why is that guy not swing it? Yeah? And
I was like, some something's wrong, I think, And I
don't think it was Paul that was pulling his punches.
I think it was Tyson. Did you watch the warm
up videos for him, like.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Going to like there were the days before where he
was like life.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
He didn't throw one combo in that thing.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
He would throw one punch and stop.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Mike.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Tyson is known for the combos.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
His famous for hitting the right the right side. He's
hitting the hit the body shot on the right side.
As soon as your guard comes down he comes around
with the right cross and knocks out.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
That's just the signature move man.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
He slipped the jab that was aimed at his left
side of his face, and when he slipped the jab,
he came up and I was thinking, Okay, well he's
gonna throw the right hook right.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Here, and he just he didn't throw it.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Yeah, he would know he wasn't throwing anything.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
He threw like fifty punches or not even fifty punches,
and that's forty punch for the night.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Yes, that's when I tell my wife, I say, you
know what, Here's what I think is happening, is that
maybe they have to get this fight to a certain
point so to make it more legit.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
It did for the contract, Tyson didn't get paid if
he knocked him out in the first two rounds, and
then after that he got more money, escalating all the
way to the end to a full twenty million. So basically,
Mike Sison was incentivized to pull his punches.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Man, To be totally honest, I mean when we talked
about it on Friday, I knew it was going to
be somewhat of a sham because it was all built
off entertainment and to see all the stars and celebrities
that were there, and it was built up like one
of those big fights.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Have you even there? I don't know, you run in
those circles, Nicks.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
I gotta know.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
I don't know why she and everyone else was there,
other than to say, you know what, it was one
one of those things that were was projected and produced
and promoted was going to be an epic fight. And
like I thought of it as I was telling my wife,
either you're tuning in to see if Jake Paul is
going to knock him out?

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Or now you were tuned in to see Jake Paul
get knocked out. That's for me.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
I was like, those stars were showing up not for
Jake Paul. They were showing up for Mike Tyson and
my estimation. But great on their part because they did
a great job of bringing reality TV show to the ring.
Now they made a massive amount of money for Netflix,
but for boxing itself.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
To me, I thought it was a big letdown. But
I don't know about you.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
When I was watching the fight, we were getting upset
because it just kept like it was buffer.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Yeah, and I want to get into that a little
bit because Netflix has got two NFL games on Christmas, right,
and they had a problem with this with their other.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Live event event. What was that that Love Is Blind thing?

Speaker 1 (17:48):
They had some show Love is Blind live reunion deal
and they couldn't get it to work right. And then
now this is the second live event that they've had
that has not worked right as far as so, I
do want to get into that a little bit later.
We'll get into into all that a little bit later.
We got Robby being on the show a little bit
later in the NFL six pack. It's gonna be a
lot of fun. We'll get into all that stuff here
in a bit. Yeah. I mean Tyson was known for

(18:08):
he had two different combos that were like his signature combos.
The biggest one was the right to the body because
he'd hits you right there with that.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
As soon as your guard drops, you should brut your
hand down your guard to move his hand away from that.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
That's where he was so fast. He would come across
with that red right hook and knock you out.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
And that was this thing.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
He didn't throw any combos at all. There wasn't a
combo thrown. And I'm like, Okay, maybe he's old and
he can't do it. Then I watched the warm up
videos from him leading up to the fight, from like
four days before the fight.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
We're just dude, it's going I was like, oh my god,
that guy would kill me. And I'm like, well once again.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
And by the way, Jake Paul would get creamed by
any top three hundred boxer in his weight class.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Very true, which my oldest son asked me that. Well,
he didn't ask me. He made a statement saying that
both his friends were talking about that. Why is it
that Jake Paul keeps fighting these older botts money?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Right, and because respect his hustle, because he gets these
guys to do it, gets he's over the hill guys
to get ring with him for a giant pay day
to make it to give.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Him legitimacy as a boxer.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
But it doesn't legitimize him as a boxer because you're
not fighting guys in their prime.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
But we're not tuned in to see as legitimacy as
a boxer, where everybody's tuned in to see Jake Paul
getting knocked out. And the problem is Jake Paul can't
get knocked out, Yetcause the minute he does it's no
longer a Bible self.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Once again, that's a great hustle. You make an enormous
amount of money and you put it in the contract
where you don't get knocked out.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, and you just keep going until finally one day
when you when you know, one day you're finally okay to.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Be the one we get knocked out. I'll get the
money in the rematch and that'll be it.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
That's what we're out of. The next hustle, we got
to hustle out to commercial break Broughcus Cutry night back
after this Monday night football going in and the Texans
just held the Dallas Cowboys on their fourth down fake
punt conversion there and it was held him short. They
caught the ball, but they held him short of the conversion.
Texans got the ball back seven nothing lead and driving
again to uh to.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Score five six sixty nine zeros of text line.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
I got a couple of great texts there at the
end of the h at the end of the segments,
including Pat from Monument that says his is his boloney
has a first name and it's Oscar.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Usually that's uh what Oscar Meyer partiflicarly sounds.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Like seven two says, I grew up so poor.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
We ate fried baloney, and if it was a good night,
we had fried spam.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
That's my dude. Swinky, Yes, keep it a swanky. Yes.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
I was right there so much so I hate both
of those things right now.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Three h three said Tyson always threw maybe six rights.
That used to be the most devastating punch. Yeah, that's
that's what I was talking about. Man, it was used
to be.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
That used to be his his deal, especially when you
had that, like I said, he had that double right.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
He would hit you.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
He would reach you low in the body and when
you came, when you brought your elbow down and brought
your guard down, that's what he popped in the mouth
of the knockout, in the jaw of the knockout, And
that used to be one of his best maneuvers.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
He I just didn't see him.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Throw any any combos, and that then the entirety of that.
If you want to call it a fight, it might
as well be a WWE mash for all I care.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Now.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
The only thing that happened though this week and Buffs
went big forty nine twenty four over Utah covered the
over under by themselves. In that one, Zach Zach Wilson's
brother ended up playing quarterback. He tested negative Vermano at
the last second after previously testing positive and then went
out there.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
And played after it really matter.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
They couldn't get much going on offense and Utah's once
vaunted defense or there wasn't stopping the Buffs In that one,
Travis Hunter had what looked like another signature, a coughing
loudly Heisman moment for all you Heisman voters out there,
not mentioning any specific ones like Nick Ferguson, but I'm
just saying, if you were happy to be a Heisman voter,
you happen to be in attendance on the sideline. Maybe
he was some I don't know, some superstar receivers or

(21:36):
something like that. Just whoever would be on the CU
sideline might have seen Travis Hunter going out there and
uh and having a little bit of a Heisman moment
on a couple of those catches.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Well, there was some conversation in both of this this
weekend about the CU Buffs and Travis Hunter and yes,
Tarah Owens who is now main Staple and Boulder during
game week, he was there and chad Ocha Cincu Johnson most.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah, he was there.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
So honestly everyone came to see Coach Prime and the
Buffs and look at that Travis Hunter to see what
he was able to do and look great.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Win by the Buffs.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
And I'll tell you, even though the Buffs score forty
nine points, they had sixty points in them and he
should have scored.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
That sixty points, if not more so.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
Now on fourth down an eight from the thirty four
yard line, Brian's gonna go for it. On fourth down
with one fourteen, Deployer snapped the Shadure quick drop, keep
trump Man in his face, rears back White, push it downfield.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Travis is out.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
There, high in the air.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
He makes the.

Speaker 8 (22:41):
Crab in between two defenders. He is hide to ten
and the Buffaloes have got it. Col to co twenty
eight yard strike from Shaduur Sanders to Travis Hunter and
there is a.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Flag on the plate back of the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
Old.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
Oh no, oh.

Speaker 7 (23:00):
It's defense.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
It was defensive holding.

Speaker 8 (23:06):
In another Heisman moment for Travis Hunter is the Puffs
have it goal to go.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
You know what, he got it between two defenders. I
was waiting for Mark Johnson.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Right between the guys, but I couldn't, couldn't, didn't get
it there, So you know, maybe maybe next time we'll
have to see how that goes. Heisman odds currently, I
have Travis Hunter sitting the top the the odds at
most of the betting places right now minus three thirty.
Ashton Chancey's usually second at plus three fifty.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Those would be my one and two, and.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Then we got for some reason, they had cam Ward
and Dyan Gabriel in there. Who I you know, honestly,
I think hurst Work should be ahead of them, and
Diego Pavia should probably be ahead of both of them two.
But I'm just throwing those names out in front of
a Heisman voter just to throw them out there.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Well, Jency had another great weekend and he is I mean,
he is the offense. They just eat him the ball.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Just give him the ball, He's going to make do
with it. And Dylan Gabriel full Oregon. I mean, he's
on a No. One team in the country. They are undefeated,
so there's a reason why he's in that conversation. But
going back to the Buffs, like the Boss, victories are
not just because of Travis Hunter and Shador. Look at
what Rob liveson. The defensive coordinators come in. He's done

(24:17):
with this with this defense. Like for me, you think
about le Jonte, I think, but Bentley and Simmy Craig
done a great job. Hill Green had an awesome showing
on Saturday, and there was a lot of NFL scouts
in the building. And by the time this season is over,
the bus played their last game, that's going to be

(24:38):
at least eighteen to twenty scouts looking at a lot
of these players in that when you really think about
the grand scheme of things, That's what coach Sanders wanted.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
That's what Coach Prime wanted.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
He wanted to give these guys an opportunity to get
to that next level.

Speaker 7 (24:51):
Put their hands in a turn stamp taken by Wilson
Turgis foot over the middle end and.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
His hitters in the ky hill Green.

Speaker 8 (24:56):
The forty five runs to his right, not the forty
passion numbers all the far side. He's found at the
thirty seven yard line a twelve yard return and for
the second week in a row, number forty one's got
an interception.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Who does he think he is?

Speaker 7 (25:13):
Travis Hunter or what now the Buffs have got the
ball inside Utah territory.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Yeah, I love every bit of Mark Johnson's South. We
have to use like we legally have to use it
just because it's it's so great. Love Mark Johnson on
the call there for the bus. You know, the Bufs
who have got the road paved in front of them.
The Big Twelve championship now that, I mean, they really
really do. The question is and I think their biggest
test is going to be Kansas. Kansas hasn't played up

(25:38):
to what people thought they were going to be at
the start of the season, but they've been playing like
it lately. Kansas has been a much better football team
than they were at the start of the season. With
all the the things that they had going wrong, it
was they were a team that was I think a
lot of people maybe favored them to even be a
top their conference, and obviously they're not, but they are

(26:02):
a team I think that they're just playing much better
than they were.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Well, things are getting tight, not just in the Big
Twelve but all over college football. But BYU after the loss,
they're sitting at fourteen, Colorado's at sixteen. Arizona State, they're
at twenty one in Iowa State is at twenty two.
If you look at it in the grand scheme of things,
if you are the commission of the Big Twelve, you.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Have to like this.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
You know, you have four teams ranked in the top
twenty five and everyone's talking.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
About your conference because we can talk about.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
The ACC, the SEC, the Big Ten, but this is
going to be a conference over the next two weeks
that everyone's gonna have their eye on. Because once again,
like I said, BYU was undefeated. They just lost to Kansas.
To Kansas, a team that the Buffs play this weekend.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
I think this is their toughest task on the way
to the Big Twelve championship.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Yes, because when you look at Kansas quarterback, he's mobile,
he can move around, he can call it caused you
some issues. So it's going to be interesting to see
how the Buffs handle this. But you have to be excited,
whether you are a Buff fan or a buff alumni,
you have to be as excited about what this team
is doing on the coach Prime in year two.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Yeah, Kansas is a tough football team though, and this
is one they won three of the last four. Their
only loss in that stretch was at Kansas State a
two point loss twenty nine twenty seven. They beat in
that span Houston, Iowa State, and BYU.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Prior to that they'd had I.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Mean, they've been losing games, but they're losing them close.
You know, they lost at Illinois twenty three seventeen. They
lost to UNLV twenty three twenty. They lost to West
Virginia thirty two twenty eight. You know, you look at
these games, lost airs a Little State thirty five thirty one.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
You look at these games.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
They're losing them by by just a couple of points
here there, and it was just one of those things
where it looked like the stuff wasn't really clicking for them.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
They've gotten going since the bye week. Like I said,
they won three of the last four.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
They only lost a two point loss at Kansas State,
a team to beat CU. This is going to be
the toughest game schedule for a one thirty kick on Saturday,
they're at at Kansas. I mean, so it's gonna be
that's gonna be the one, and I think that's You've
got to have that circle.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
You got to have it stamped with a star or whatever.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
You gotta have your eye on the prize on this one,
because this is this game is not gonna be easy.
They're better than their record, and this is you need
this one to get where you want to go.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Well, I expect for the Buffs linebackers Hill, Green and
Bentley to step up Bay because they're gonna be relying
on because this Daniels kid is six foot two hundred
and twenty pounds.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
He could throw it.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
You can throw it from anywhere on the field, but
more importantly, he's dangerous in the open field. And we've
seen the buff struggle against quarterbacks who are mobile, so
they have their work cutout for him. We get into
it later on in the week, but the big challenge
for the cu bus but I have a feeling that
they at the bitter end they will pull it off.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I'm hoping they do. And then right after that the
biggest game of the week. That's right, you're defeated.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Army Black Knights are at number eight, Notre Dame at
cable be on NBC, so you can switch it from
Fox TOMBC at that point.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
I like the Iris in that one. I hate you
so much right now, I like the Irish too. I
hate you both so much.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I don't even share my juice anymore, which I'll do
after we go check in with traffic at Daviill Brian.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Let's go Irish.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
They run at left side, Gavante steps to a big
old Javante runs over a defender inside the five.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
They pushed the pile to the goal line. Touchdown Denver.
I get by from a little help from my friends.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah, it took a little bit of help, a little
tush push on that play, but they got him in there,
got the touchdown and Chavante get the bulk of the
work against the Atlanta foulcons five six six nine zeros.
A text line Brocose Country nam Rdynick Ferguson Great Smith,
Did you.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Guys try this? I brought to mix of Martinelli's guy.
So he loves the expensive apple Jesus was.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Pointed out earlier on the show in the uh in
the text line, but I brought my beverage of choice.
I left the vodka out this time for you Nick
I want to get but it is the cranberry pineapple juice.
We talked about this before, you guys laughing that before
or whatever, So I brought again.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I brought some for you guys. To try. I don't
know if Grant has tried it yet. I oh, he
cleaned his glass right there. Look at that. That was delicious.
I told you it's nectar of the gods.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Man.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I never had the one. I've had cran grape. I've
never had cramped pine. Cran pineapple is it. And it
makes a great mixture if you do a little bit
like a little buck in there. It does make a
great mixture.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
I mean because you pour me a glass. Thanks Grant
for providing the glasses. I took a respectful sip. And
that's about it.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
It's not for you. No, it's not too much man
to it.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
No, not band to it.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
It doesn't stand up to Martin Nelly's okay, it just
it just doesn't. Okay, may to try, you know, like
anything I gave you to try, But I'm not. I'm
I'm being totally honest. It's like I don't put beaz in.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
My tomato sauce and whatever you going to I promise
you're gonna try it, and then you're like, damn all
that was right. It was like all the time, whatever
this is that I just poured in my cup that
I sipped on, it just not not sitting well on
my paltte.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Not getting there.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Okay, I sitting well on my paltte. Can't be for everybody.
I did try there final six six nine zero is
the Texas line. The the Texans getting ready score again.
I'm not sure if they just did. I think they
were reviewing the touchdown is mixing. Didn't quite get in.
It looked like we'll see how that goes. If they do,
it'll be up fourteen.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Nothing. Uh there I did. I was getting guff from
all you guys, even dave O. Brian was shouting out
the Irish. Come on, guys, why are you so unpatriotic
that you hate army. It's not that we hate army.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Were just like Notre Dame better right, I mean, didn't
you show me what some fancy uniforms? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:51):
I just showed you the uniform for the Navy game,
by the way, with the snowflakes.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Oh, those are so tight.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
A uniform guy, and.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Those are tight. You know what it looks like.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
There's a part on Mad Football where you can kind
of change the uniforms.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
That's what it what it looks like. So it is tough.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
That look is tough, But they had to get that
into college in the NCAA. But the uniforms never win
football games.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
They don't.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
But but Army has had some pit uniforms over the year.
The digital Camo uniforms were up there.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
These are these are up there. These are probably my
second favorite UH uniforms for this game.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
And the problem is because usually Navy outdos this, does
this on the uniforms.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, so I don't think Navy's out doing Army this year.
On the uniforms. It's like a tribute to beast Stone.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
It's got like the snowflakes shoulder pad, a little bit
on the helmet, you know, like dusting there.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
They got the unit patch on the left side of
the American flag on the right side.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
I'm patriotic. Beat the Irish.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
It's probably not gonna happen, but I'm still gonna be
a wishful. Think number one rushing team in the country,
you're Army Black Knights.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Hey listen, once again, it's great to be patriotic, is
a great UH to root for those teams who are
doing well, Army, Navy, Air Force. But then it comes
a time where you have to step into reality.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
That the team that averages eighty five passing yards a
game is probably not Nah, not gonna do. I can't.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
I can see them making it somewhat of a game
early against Notre Dame. But then Notre Dame understanding, Okay,
what's kind of a state for them, They're gonna come through.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Yeah, both these teams are undefeated on the year. Well, no, no,
Notre Dame lost a game earlier.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
But yeah, Notre Dame did beat the breaks off Navy
at Navy just a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
In terms of looking at triple option, you know, they
they they are well prepared for it. Yeah, fifty one
to fourteen. So I'm a little uh, it was a
little money on that.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
They lost.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Oh yeah, they lost to Northern Illinois. That's right, they
lost sixteenth. Remember that sixteenth in Northern Illinois. I remember
putting any money on that.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
I mean, I'm gonna put a little.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
On it just because but I'm gonna be watching that
one obviously, I'll be glued to it. I'm not gonna
put a big bet on any but I'll put a
couple of bucks on it, just kind of know, versus
nine and one, just to be invested. Yeah, and the
Army's coming off the bye week, Well, how much more
can they change about their offense.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
It's run, run, I'm saying. The rest of the rest
of the bodies arrested, uperated, and prepare. You know the
same thing that Notre Dame is just coming off, coming
off a game. So they gonna run the same thing
that you that you run when you play video games.
My life pass every minute of it. Set football back
one hundred years.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
This is why Notre Dame is gonna win. You set
juice back one hundred years. Rejecting my pineapple cranberry. We
got hit a break with the back
