Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yet another busy broadcast day. Welcome to it. Here on
the Dan o'donald Show, President Trump is attending the G seven.
We might actually get justice for Hannah Dugan and the
affront to the rule of law and the justice system
itself that she committed. We had a surprising ruling today

(00:22):
in that left wing federal judge actually stood up for
the rule of law, actually rejected her ridiculous legal arguments.
We have got the latest on the state of the
Democratic gubernatorial primary here in Wisconsin. The entire world sports, politics, news,
the punditry class, everybody. I love this. I love this.

(00:45):
Everybody is coming together to dunk on Francesca Hank's video
celebrating the New York Knicks NBA championship. It is absolutely hilarious.
We will get into it a little bit later. When
you've got Barstool sports writers as well as former Governor
Scott Walker, We've got legendary sports talk show hosts. In

(01:09):
Franny Honks's replies, she's watching the Knicks win the NBA championship, folks,
And admittedly, admittedly I was pulling for the Knicks a
little bit. It has nothing to do with NYC. Although
although if We're going to be totally honest with you here.
James Dolan, friend of the President, invited him to Game
three of the finals. I have heard rumors and rumblings

(01:31):
about Superstar guard Jalen Brunson and his and his father's politics.
He made a comment about not missing or he said
he missed, he missed Texas, but most of all, he
missed Texas's taxes. You might remember he signed as a
free agent from the Dallas Mavericks. The Knicks, if you
want to go buy politics, actually were more of the

(01:53):
conservative leaning team, despite the socialist revel rousing of their
fan base, and of course the Mayor of New York,
whom Franny rather remarkably credited for the next title. It
is truly amazing. I love it when people come together.
We were talking yesterday on the Dan O'Donnell show about
just a universal timeless message or the principle of New

(02:16):
Berlin Eisenhower High School, about all those little moments. Well,
I am enjoying this little moment of everybody coming together
to dunk on Francesca Hank's performative. It's it's not even
that she's a Democrat. It's not even that she's a
political opponent. It's this this performative viewing of the NBA that,

(02:37):
for whatever reason, in the age of Obama, every single
Democrat really got into. They think that every lib, every
like white suburban lib my age or younger mid forties
or younger, like the podcast Bros, the Pod Save America Bros.
They all had to get super into the NBA with
this weird virtue signaling thing, not the NFL, not World

(03:00):
Cup soccer, which is like the most liberal coded sport
in the world. Go figure, I'm obsessed with it. But
they all got it. You've got fran Hong sitting with
a group of people and admittedly admit, I was at
a graduation party, some family friends, one of my son's
friends at a wild graduation party. So it's all the parents,

(03:21):
all the kids. Must have been one hundred and fifty
people crammed in this basement and we're all going nuts.
Like half the people are rooting for San Antonio, half
are rooting for the Knicks. It's a lot of fun.
But Hong to post this and to make a big
deal out of the well, you know what, we're going
to get into this. We're going to get into this
later on this arm sort of doing one of the

(03:43):
later in the hour topics right now. Uh, it's the
performative aspect of it, and I'm loving when politicians get
called out for being just transparently. The overriding thing is
this woman's from with Wisconsin. Why is she like a
die hard Knicks fans? Well, maybe maybe it's because since

(04:07):
we're since we're sticking with the socialism theme here, US
Bucks fans are sort of in a state of nervous
denial that the Bucks are not actually about to redistribute
giannis antet Tokumpo to either the Miami Heat or the
Boston Celtics. All right, so all of that coming up.
Of course, later on this hour, we have got a
chance for you to win twenty five hundred dollars as

(04:29):
part of our two fifty k USA giveaway. Would you
believe that we have a nationwide winner? Not yesterday. I
just got word today we had the national Friday winner.

(05:57):
I've got to admit, folks, got to admit I was
wrong about something. Federal Judge Lynn Aidelman actually might be
competent and actually might apply the rule of law evenly,
even to his liberal comrades. Today, he denied former Milwaukee

(06:22):
County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan's bid to overturn a
federal jury verdict that she obstructed ice agents outside her
courtroom that puts the case right back on track for
her to be sentenced after her conviction. Aidelman, in a
thirty two page ruling today, held that Dugan's legal team

(06:45):
failed to clear the high bar required for him to
reconsider an earlier ruling that no, she does not get
a new trial. She should not be acquitted. That there
was a brand new case, and we talked about this
at length when Dugan first made this bid. It's not
an appeal, it was a petition to the federal judge.
She is absolutely going to appeal this decision, to appeal

(07:07):
this conviction to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeal. She
has no chance of success there. There was a case
in Virginia, the ninth Circuit. We are in the seventh Circuit. Actually,
I'm sorry, I don't believe that's the ninth. That way,
ninth is out in California, eighth Circuit, fifth Circuit. What
I get the circuits messed up. You'd think it would

(07:28):
be easy and you just kind of count like one through.
I believe there are eleven total circuit appeals courts. They're
sort of all over the place. So in any event,
it was not in the seventh Circuit, have no bearing.
It has no what's known as presidential value, not presidential.
It is not valuable as precedent here in Wisconsin. Dugan's

(07:51):
attorneys said, well, this case that was decided earlier in
the spring has a bearing on what Dugan did. Dugan,
of course, was convicted back in December of helping a
violent criminal illegal alien who was deported once before snuck
back in so by virtue of doing so, even if

(08:13):
he did not viciously beat his roommate and the roommate's
girlfriend to land him in criminal court in front of
Judge Dugan. To begin with, he has already committed a
federal felony. It is a federal crime. Remember, to sneak
into this country unlawful entry, illegal immigration is absolutely a
federal crime. It is a misdemeanor. If you sneak back

(08:35):
in after you're deported and you're caught again, it's a felony.
So this guy's a federal felon. This is why I
always like to use this trick question here, what percentage
of illegal aliens detained or removed by ICE have committed crimes?
One hundred percent, one hundred Every single one of them
has violated the laws of the United States. Well, this

(08:56):
guy also beat the heck and choked his roommate as
part of a dispute. He also attacks the girlfriend when
the girlfriend tries to interviewing. His name is Eduardo Floes Ruiz.
Well Flores Ruiz shows up last April, and yes, we
did break this story days beforehand, before anybody else knew

(09:16):
what was going on here on the Dan O'Donnell Show.
In fact, Hannah Dugan even denied it to the cop.
She said, well, this radio guy is out there trying
to stir the pot and he's making up a whole
lot of lies. Well, then like two days later she
faced a couple of federal charges when she saw an
ICE arrest team which didn't just include an ICE agent.

(09:37):
There was also a couple of federal agents ATBI Agents DHS.
There was an entire team. And typically they'll go to
places like courthouses because well, the subject isn't armed, it's
way easier to take him into custody without incident. Dugan
sends the agents away to Chief Judge Carl Sahle's office

(10:01):
because she says, well, you're not allowed to be here.
While she creates a diversion, she sneaks Florez Ruiz and
his attorney out through the jury room exit and down
some elevators that aren't really used by the general public
in an effort to help him get away from those
ICE agents. Folks, this is about the worst possible thing

(10:24):
that a justice of the peace or someone who is
entrusted with truly awesome power by the state to quite
literally determine whether or not people are imprisoned in states
that still have the death penalty, whether people are are
put to death by the state, whether they lose thousands,
tens of thousands, millions of dollars in civil judgment. We

(10:45):
place an awesome amount of authority and an awesome amount
of power in the hands of judges when they're either
appointed or they're elected. For someone to allow a violent,
illegal alien criminal to escape not just from ICE, but
to escape any accountability for the violent crime that he

(11:06):
committed against the roommate and the roommate's girlfriend, to violate
that trust, to substitute the will of the people of Wisconsin,
as represented by the laws of the State of Wisconsin,
to substitute your own judgment and your own moral beliefs
for that. It's no wonder that this was a massive,

(11:28):
massive case, because it's exactly what the left has been
doing pretty much the entirety of Trump's second term. Coming
up in just a second, will go to Minneapolis, where
the US Attorney there has unsealed an indictment charging more
than a dozen ANTIFA members with obstruction of ICE agents

(11:51):
during the Battle for Minneapolis in the first couple of
weeks and months of this year. All of those people
who were going out into the streets and blowing their
whistles and trying to get in the way of ICE
agents doing the job of the people of the United
States enforcing the immigration laws of the United States, that is,

(12:11):
on a broader and clearly more violent scale, the exact
same thing that Hannah Dugan did. Why it's so dangerous
is that it ignores what actually makes these are the
same people who constantly talk about the threat that Donald
Trump poses to our democracy, What is democracy at its

(12:33):
very heart right, and it's very sol What is democracy,
it's it's literally nothing more than power that exists via
the consent of the government. It's government by consent of
the people. The ultimate check on governmental authority, therefore, is
the people, not in the form of a violent uprising

(12:56):
like France in seventeen eighty nine, but through a constatute,
through laws that are set up that represent the social
contract on which our society is based. What we've had
in just the last couple of years, but really bubbling
under the surface since the dawn of the Marxist era

(13:17):
in the late eighteen hundreds, and really in the last
fifty years with the mainstreaming of socialism, and now that
it is just fully out in the open and really
the driving force of the Democrat Party, there is a
movement to undercut that social contract, to remove the rule
of law, because of course it's racist, it's sexist, it's bigoted,

(13:41):
to replace it with the judgment of the select enlightened few.
Hannah Dugan knows full well that ice AT, a federal
arrest team is perfectly authorized to go in and take
down Eduardo Flores Ruiz didn't believe though that that law

(14:02):
was just forget about jury nullification. This was a case
of judicial nullification of the law. That's what's dangerous. It's
not endless screeds and screeching about how Donald Trump might
do this, and how Donald Trump building a ballroom on

(14:23):
the side of the White House or holding an MMA fight.
Oh look, can't you see this symbolism? This is late
stage capitalism. This is like fall of the Roman Empire
type stuff. That's not the actual threat to democracy, to
the social contract. What was going on in the streets

(14:45):
of Minneapolis is what happened in Hannah Dugan's courtroom last April.
That is the threat to democracy. Because when there are
people who substitute a leftist ideology that does not believe
in the legitimacy of the law, or those who enforce
it based on political differences and presuppose that only they

(15:09):
are fit to be the arbiters of what is legal, illegal,
and more importantly right and wrong, good and just and
wrong and wicked, the entire thing collapses. This country. We're
celebrating its birthday. We're celebrating the new birth of freedom.
We're celebrating an entirely new form of government, government of
the people, by the people for the people. If the

(15:32):
people and their words has taken down in constitutions across
the country, who are fifty of them plus the federal one.
If the laws that derive from the federal Constitution and
the state constitution are subjugated by the will of a

(15:54):
new fundamentally anti American, anti capitalistic mentality that presupposes that
they are the smart ones and that everything and everybody
that came before are not. We're really in a world
of hurt now. As far as when the sentencing hearing

(16:17):
is going to take place for Hannah Dugan, I do
not believe that that has come out. She was originally
supposed to be sentenced on June third, And I'll be
honest with you, folks, I thought for sure Adelman was
going to try to get her off somehow. She is
not going to go to prison. She is going to
be let off with a slap on the wrist. But

(16:38):
that is better than nothing I talked about. The Antifa
arrests also a scary plot targeting that mma fight on
the President's front lawn, the lawn of the White House
over the weekend that is coming up next. You are
listening to the Dan O'Donnell Show back in just three minutes,

(17:04):
Conservative thought, not just talk. It is the Dan O'Donnell Show.
Welcome back to it. Coming up after the top of
the hour, we will get the very latest on the
Iran memorandum of understanding as the President goes to the
G seven and the Vice President JD. Vance goes into

(17:26):
even more hostile territory than good old anti American France
or even Iran. He was on the View this morning,
and we will get some highlights of that, reminding everyone
why Vice President Vance is, along with Secretary of State Rubio,
the best possible messengers for this administration, for Trump's brand

(17:50):
of conservatism, for all of it right now though, Dan Rosen,
the US attorney for Minneapple, unsealed indictments today and announced
charges against fifteen members of Antifa for obstructing and attempting
to stop ICE agents during Operation Metro Surge in January

(18:15):
and February from rounding up and arresting illegal ali Today.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
A federal indictment was unsealed, charging fifteen defendants with conspiracy
to impede or injure federal officers and other charges related
to efforts of too Minneapolis based ANTIFA groups that violently
opposed the enforcement of federal law in our state.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
We spent the opening segment talking about Hanna Dugan. Hannah
Dugan did not violently oppose ICE agents arresting illegal immigrants.
What she did was the exact same morally in terms

(18:59):
of its offense against the people of the United States,
the laws of the United States, the social contract of
the United States as this group of thugs. This also
serves as validation for everyone who like on this program

(19:20):
was saying no when you have the Democrats were hosting
as as Operation Metro Surge was going and we were
hearing rumors throughout the winter that there was going to
be a similar ICE raid against Wisconsin, that there were
going to be ICE agents coming to Wisconsin. Democrats were

(19:42):
actually holding seminars on how to stand up to Ice
right Ice out MK. They even put a package of legislation,
a package of municipal ordinances together to try to stop
ICE agents. That is beyond unlawful supremacy clause of the
United s It's constitution says federal law is the supreme

(20:02):
law of the land. Enforcement of federal law therefore takes
precedence over whatever idiot municipal code that the Milwaukee Common
Council can throw together. These are the same people, after all,
who thought the biggest issue with late light night crime
and lawlessness was food trucks, so instead of going after
the criminals, they went after the food trucks in downtown Milwaukee. Well,

(20:28):
if you go after ICE agents as a government actor,
supremacy clause kicks in. If you go after ICE agents
physically with whistles, with cars, with a group of people
who are just there to get in the way of
ICE agents arresting illegal immigrants, you are not merely providing

(20:50):
a service. You are not merely oh well, we're ICE observice.
You are actively obstructing law enforcement investigations, the exact same
thing that Hannah Doug was convicted of doing it and
Rosen fortunately said no longer are we going to tolerate this.
This is part of a larger scale effort to get

(21:14):
it into these idiot left these heads that they can't
just go around obstructing law enforcement and expect to pay
zero legal consequence.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Today's charges and arrests reflect a broad federal effort to
address organize lawless behavior, which seeks to disrupt the execution
of federal law, in danger law enforcement, and importantly endanger
the very communities that these defendants falsely claim to be protecting.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
And that's just it. These people are saying, well, we're
standing up for Minneapolis, we're standing up for our neighbors.
You're creating a lawless war zone in the streets that
endanger that. Two people too, leftist goons were actually killed

(22:04):
because they bought into this narrative. They brought into this
rhetoric and they thought, hey, we're going to go obstruct
some ICE agents. What could possibly happen? Well, unfortunately they
figured it out. Here in Wisconsin, we are seeing the
same sort of battle. Now, how can you guarantee that

(22:26):
ICE agents won't have to put themselves in danger, won't
have to put the illegal alien charges, the illegal alien
targets of their raids in danger, or anybody else, Well,
if you just pick them up in the jail. The
ACLU of Wisconsin is desperately trying to stop what are

(22:50):
known as two eighty seven g agreements here in this state.
There is a lawsuit that is going on that is
is seeking against five counties to try to stop these
counties from essentially taking on the role of federal law

(23:10):
enforcement agencies. In two eighty seven g agreement allows local officers,
like from a sheriff's department, from a police department, to
be deputized to perform illegal immigration enforcement in a broader
sense and out now you are under no obligation as
a city or a state or a local law enforcement

(23:31):
agency to do this, but you can you can opt
into this program in a broader sense. With the ACLU
is saying with this lawsuit, by the way, we have
got all the details of Heartlandpost dot com on a
ruling in that case. Today we are we are looking

(23:53):
at an attempt to invalidate the single best way that
we have of law enforcement officers being able to take
in dangerous criminals without ever having any real danger because
what the ACLU is trying to do is to prevent

(24:15):
the detention. Ultimately, the move is to prevent the detention
of illegal immigrants in county jails. Essentially, what they want
is to make every single city, every single county, every
single state a sanctuary jurisdiction where there is no cooperation.

(24:36):
Once again, this is exactly how you get those dangerous
situations that we saw for weeks and weeks and weeks
in Minneapolis, these confrontations in the streets. Tom Homan has
been the borders are has been screaming from the rooftops
here for months. Now. Okay, you don't want this sort
of stuff going on in your streets. How about you

(24:59):
just cooper with the federal government and you allow us
to just go into the jail and pick these guys up.
Why is this so difficult? Why can't we get any
sort of cooperation? Again, this goes back to at the
state level, at the municipal level, at the governmental level,
this same sort of belief that since we don't believe

(25:22):
that President Trump is a legitimate president, that ICE agents
are any more anything more than his brown shirt SS
storm troopers. They're not legitimate. The law itself isn't legitimate
because we are substituting our own leftist judgment for the
will of the people as codified through federal law. Everything

(25:47):
that ICE has done during President Trump's second term, everything,
everything has been perfectly lawful, administrative warrants. They don't need
to be signed by a judge to get pissed that.
Somebody get pissed at Bill Clinton. He's the one who
signed that into law back in the mid nineteen nineties,

(26:07):
ICE agents can and should be going into the jails,
be going into detention centers, be going into courtrooms, be
going into places that they can take dangerous people off
the streets without having to go into the streets stare
down a mob of nut sell leftists like the antiphagoons
who are just federally charged today, put their lives in

(26:29):
the lives of everybody else, including the illegals in danger,
when all they have to do is to go into
a jail in a in a non sanctuary district and
very easily one agent, maybe two go take the guy
who is already handcuffed and move him from one cell

(26:51):
to another cell. We will get into that UFC Freedom
two point fifty plot. Really a terrifying thing that was
busted up today. It was an attempted attack over the weekend.
We'll dive into that next. A tour de force of truth.

(27:15):
It is the Dan o'donald Show. It's the sort of
truth that you used to expect from all media, but
unfortunately now what you get is misinformation, half truths, and
outright propaganda. No better example of that than the shameful
rhetoric that we have heard about Jeffrey Epstein and the

(27:36):
quote Epstein class over the past year. That culminated on
Sunday night with a plot to commit a terror attack
at the White House against the UFC Freedom Too fifty event.

(27:57):
The foiled terror attack in multiple people across several states.
The FBI disrupted this after one of the attackers, one
of the would be terrorists, nineteen year old Tyson Propper's mother,
contacted authorities after he bought guns, ammo, body armor, and

(28:20):
tactical gear with his high school graduation money, then quit
his job and discussed a mission the Vanguard of the
Old The group called itself about nineteen people communicating via Signal,
which is an encrypted chat app and TikTok, planned a

(28:44):
demonstration on the north side of the White House. They
would then use explosive Leyden drones to detonate over the
north end of the UFC arena area on the south lawn.
That would force the crowd and what they called high
value targets i e. President Trump, Vice President Vance other

(29:06):
members of the cabinet who were in attendance to move
south to get away from those exploding drones. There would
then be snipers that would be in position to open
fire on those who were running away. Why was this
a plot? Obviously they're always going to be unhinged attacks

(29:30):
and attempted attacks against the president of the United States.
But multiple people involved in this plot what we know
from the FBI's investigation thus far, have been saying that
this was an attack. Now, if anything, folks, this is
far closer to the far right kooks than far left. Yes,

(29:53):
it is an anti Trump, It is a targeting. Yet again,
yet again, we have a foil assassination attempt against President Trump.
What are we up to? Like six? I don't want
to make light of this, but if he gets to eight,
does he get a free cup of coffee? Does he
have a punch card for assassination attempts? This one came

(30:16):
from unhinged crazies who are upset about the Epstein files.
They actually said that this was going to be a
strike against the quote Epstein class. Now what does that mean?
There has been a conspiratorial belief that there is a

(30:38):
group of pedophiles that secretly runs the world and they're
all tied to Jeffrey Epstein and they would meet in
secret on his island. And I don't know do untoward
things to children, eat them, drink their blood, whatever. Folks.
There are millions of Jeffrey Epstein documents, millions. There is

(31:01):
literally no evidence that there is this broad cabal of
presidents and kings and all of this. Prince Andrew, yes,
almost assuredly was having sex with underage escorts that he
met through Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton, no concrete evidence. A

(31:25):
picture of Bill Clinton getting a massage from an underage
girl raises a whole lot of eyebrows in my mind,
because I'm taking a wild guess. Horny old Bubba ain't
stopping at a massage when he's on a plane with
this girl for eight hours or more going to Epstein's island.
What these people? So the evidence does show, but there's

(31:45):
never been any evidence tied to Bill Clinton or anything,
not Donald Trump, not. The only one has been Prince Andrew.
There were a couple of MPs members of Parliament in
Great Britain. They faced criminal charges not because of sexual impropriety,

(32:09):
but just like Prince Andrew, that they may have been
divulging state secrets to Epstein. Everything that we know about
Epstein is it pretty well tracks. It's wide out in
the open for the last year though, after six years

(32:30):
after Epstein was found dead in his jail cell. And yes,
there are a lot of legitimate questions about why it
was that pretty much every camera failed at the exact
same time, and all of the guards just sort of
decided to go on break or fall asleep. It's a
brand new guard that took over. It looked exactly like
Hillary Clinton in a weird groucho Marx mustache. But they

(32:53):
allowed her right into Epstein's cell. Next thing you know,
the guy is dead. I'm kidding, of course, not to
undercut my own message here. For years, liberals said, you
crazy conservative, Epstein didn't kill himself, that's conspiracy talk. Then

(33:14):
right around the fourth of July, right after the fourth
of July twenty twenty five, they realized it could be
weaponized against Trump. So also, for a year, you had
Thomas Massey, you had Marjorie Taylor Green, you had ro Conna,
you have pretty much everybody on the political left, anybody
who supports the president. I can't even tell you, folks,

(33:34):
how many times over the last nearly twelve calendar months,
I have been called a pedophile protector, a pedophile defender,
or a pedophile myself because I support Trump. First of all,
I don't think people quite understand how defamation law works. Fortunately,

(34:00):
I do have a legal background, and one of the
first things you learn is you can't bleed a turnip.
So why would it be worth worth my time to
try to go after someone in his mom's basement for
defaming me by calling me a pedophile? What am I
going to get his collection of Pokemon cards in a settlement?
Come on, now, this has in a way broken people's brains,

(34:26):
and on both right and left, you have a sincere
and delusional belief that there is this secret group of
people of which Trump is a big part. And invariably
it wouldn't be a good old fashioned weirdo conspiracy without
the Jews being heavily involved. So of course it's the
Jews who are the ones kidnapping the children. I mean,

(34:48):
you want to go back a thousand years. This goes
straight back to the blood libel. What are they kidnapping
the children taking them to Epstein Island to make their matzos.
It's literally the literal blood libel here, and it's causing
crazy people to do crazy things. Everybody was rightly this

(35:13):
was seven eight years ago Comet Ping Pong Pizza the
pizzeria in Washington, DC, or that nutjob opened fire trying
to free all of the children who he presumed Hillary
Clinton was holding in the basement as part of some
bizarre conspiracy theory. We just saw the exact same thinking

(35:37):
very nearly cause major major national tragedy at the White House. Now,
fortunately it does not seem that this plot, although it
was reasonably well planned and well organized, seems like it
was planned and organized by a bunch of freaking morons.
But that said morons can do just as much damage

(36:01):
as the highly intelligent. Sadly, in this world of ours,
it was the exact same mindset, folks. Crazy is crazy,
Delusional is delusional, whether it comes on the right or
the left. So I both right and left and everybody
in between has a responsibility with the rhetoric surrounding Jeffrey
Epstein's surrounding Donald Trump being a Nazi and whatever other

(36:25):
insane things have been said over the last not year
that Trump has been president again, But the last decade,
you realize President Trump came down the elevator eleven years
ago today. For eleven years, we have been told this
guy is Hitler. This guy is dangerous. This guy is
going to end the older surprise therefore that you've got

(36:47):
a whole lot of deranged people continually trying to assassinate
him or attack him. We're going to lighten the mood
quite a bit. The unhinged Liberal of the day is
coming up next. Don't go Anywhere, Welcome back. It is
the Dan o'donald show you a little heavy in that
last segment. Let's fix that, shall we? Time to name

(37:09):
the unhinged liberal of the day. Nazi Germany Toff is
dangerous because he's evil.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
America.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Today's unhinged liberals of the day are Congressman Adriano de
Jesus Espilot Rodriguez. He is the first former illegal immigrant
member of Congress. He's from the Dominican Republic. He is
serving in New York State, and his opponent Daria Lisa
Avila Chevalier. During a televised debate, they were both asked

(37:54):
who they're rooting for in the World Cup. Ladies and gentlemen,
the answers speak for them. World Cup is here, the
first match this week in a met Life stadium taking
place in New Jersey.

Speaker 4 (38:04):
Even though some people say it is technically New York.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
But what do you think will win it all?

Speaker 5 (38:08):
Who are you rooting for?

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (38:10):
I like Mexico, Mexico. There you go for Senegal, Senegal. Okay, yeah,
not the United States. Very telling Dems for those asking.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
The congressman, who was an illegal immigrant from the Dominican
Republic is named Adriano de Jesuit de Jesus Aspulas Rodriguez.
He's served as the US representative for New York's thirteenth
congressional district since twenty seventeen. He is being challenged in

(38:51):
the Democrat primary by Daria Lisa Avila Chevalier. She is a,
according to her own bio, working class Afro Latina organizer
and Democratic Socialists of America member who is running against Aspalat.
She said during a televised appearance, it wasn't a formal debate.

(39:15):
It was on one of the New York channel, I
believe picks Pix in New York, very very big news station.
It was just a joint appearance where they were talking
about and discussing the issues. The host just sort of
as a little question, a little break the ice have fun. Hey,
World Cup's coming up. Who you guys rooting for Congressman Espolot,

(39:38):
a representative of the United States of America, said he's
rooting for Mexico in this World Cup. Chevalier, the Democratic
Socialist challenger, is rooting for Senegal. No mention of the
United States.

Speaker 6 (39:58):
You know, the.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Where they live. They either represent or want to represent
the land that they love, that they swore allegiance to that.
The Congressman put his hand in the air and swore
an oath to upull the constituted. No, no, not rooting
for them. Look, folks, I don't care. I root for

(40:25):
like five different teams in the World Cup. Speaking of
Senegal again, we have a policy on this show. After
I got just absolutely raked over the coals because I
dared to spoil some Bob sled results during the Winter
Olympics this past February, I am not giving any spoil.
I'm not giving any scores of World Cup matches France

(40:48):
and Senegal just ended. I will say this, it was
a very entertaining match. I am not going to tell
you how it ended. I am not going to tell
you what happened. I was thoroughly entertained, and if I
sounded at all distracted during that last couple of segments.
It's because I had like one eye on the monitor
here in our studio as I was watching that very

(41:11):
entertaining match. Look, I root for Italy because I'm half
Sicilian on my mom's side. Italy hasn't made the World
Cup since I swear the Fall of the Caesars. It
feels like it was like Mussolini was making the trains
run on time. That was the last time Italy made
the World They won the thing in two thousand and six,

(41:34):
and they haven't qualified for a World Cup since then.
I have no idea that forty eight teams made the
World Cup Italy didn't. How did Italy all of a
sudden suck at soccer. The other half of my nationality
the Irish. They haven't qualified for a World Cup in
thirty two years. Last time it was the last time
it was held in the United States nineteen ninety four.

(41:54):
I always root for England just because God loved those
Brits vented the game, and they haven't won a World
Cup since, like nineteen fifty four. They live for the sport.
It would be like if America didn't win a World
Series for seventy years, or if we just didn't win
the NBA Championship, kind of like the Canadians with hockey.

(42:17):
It's been what thirty three years the Montreal Canadians in
nineteen ninety three, I believe, the last Canadian team to
hoist the Stanley Cup. They can't even win the gold
medal in their own sport thanks to Jack Hughes and
the Team USA Heroics. How about that? You know, we've
been talking about how people haven't really been pumped up
for America's two hundred and fiftieth birthday. This year started

(42:40):
with like the ultimate All American party, everybody getting up
at like six thirty seven AM on a Sunday morning,
sipping Bloody Mary's and cheering like heck for Team USA hockey.
We've been on a heater pretty much ever since we
take out Nicholas mcduau, we take out the Iranian regime.

(43:01):
Oil is going to drop to about fifty five dollars
a barrel by the time President Trump is done just
pumping all of the oil, the Texas tea from Alaska
into the global market. We've got American companies literally going
to space. By the way, SpaceX has just skyrocketed in value.

(43:24):
There is a ton of interest in this stock. That
has made a whole lot of people. Four four hundred
people that work at SpaceX are now millionaires. I believe
a thousand of them, close to one thousand are worth
one hundred million dollars or more. We've got ufa freedom
two fifty, a fight on the White House lawn, We've

(43:47):
got the World Cup. How could you not love this country?
How could you not be rooting for this country? But
it's a little bit too on brand for the two
Democrats in New York's thirteenth Congressional district to be voting
for countries other than the United States in the World Cup.
That is a perfect metaphor, I think for where the
Democrat Party is right now. They're gonna root for anyone

(44:10):
and everyone ahead of the United States. Fortunately, we have
got a big orange goalie standing between them and retaking
power in this country. That is Donald Trump. And it
is time for the daily Trump Day.

Speaker 7 (44:27):
We're gonna win so much you may even get tired
of winning.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Trump just keeps winning. It is a win for the administration.

Speaker 8 (44:34):
It's also a big win for the United States.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
We have to keep winning.

Speaker 3 (44:38):
We have to win.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
Moore. We're gonna win Moore. President Trump actually flew out
directly from the UFC event. He flew all night on
Air Force.

Speaker 9 (44:49):
What.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
Yes, he's not like crammed in the back of the
plane in a middle seat, and you know he's got
to get up like five times to go to the bathroom.
But there's a long line. He can't get a refill
on his diet coke. He can sleep on the plane.
It's a very comfortable ride, I am told. But he
did fly all night out to France for the G
seven where he spent the day today meeting with pretty

(45:13):
much every Middle Eastern leader and partner in the Iran
peace process. He talked about the Memorandum of Understanding, which
was digitally signed over the weekend and will be formally
signed in a ceremony on Friday.

Speaker 7 (45:26):
It's very important document and unlike Obama, who could have
destroyed the Middle East with a horrible jc POA, it
is the worst agreement.

Speaker 6 (45:39):
That was a road to a nuclear weapon. Mine is
a wall against a nuclear weapon. I mean, I see
these people there, but we already had one. He paid
a fortune for it. We paid nothing. We don't pay.

Speaker 7 (45:50):
There was some statement we're going to spend three hundred
million dollars. Now we're allowed to go and invest if
we wanted to someday in the future.

Speaker 6 (45:58):
We have no obligation.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
And in fact, Vice President JD. Van says been on
a one man crusade to disavow pretty much the entire
media ecosystem of this notion that somehow the United States
is unfreezing Iranian assets or like Obama's JCPOA, giving palettes
of cash over to the remnants of the Iranian regime.

(46:23):
This is one hundred percent performance based. Both the President
and Vice President reiterated that today the President, of course,
took some questions on Iran and where it goes from here.

Speaker 6 (46:34):
I hope they do well. I hope they do it.

Speaker 7 (46:38):
One thing, whether they do well or poorly.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
They can't have a nuclear weapon. That's a big name.
If they had a nuclear weapon, they would have blown
up Israel, they would have blown up the Middle East,
and they probably would have taken a shot at us.
We would have gotten them first, I think, but they
would have done tremendous damage.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
He's right, of course, just look at what they did
when their backs were against the wall and they didn't
have a functioning military they didn't have a navy, they
didn't have an air force. What did They just put
a bunch of minds in the straight of horror moves
and they did a Kamikazi style attack on global commerce
in an effort to harm every other nation on Earth
whose lifeblood oil flows through that. What do you think

(47:23):
they would have done if they would have been able
to develop a nuclear weapon? This is the Kim jong
un conundrum. The only reason that that fat chicken nugget
of a human being is still in power is because
he's sitting on a stockpile of nuclear weapons, and no
one dares to try to take him out because of

(47:44):
the possibility that they could launch some nukes. This is
clearly what Iran was doing, this idea that they wouldn't
use them. They've been funding terror in the region against
Israel and against American targets for the entirety of their
existence as an Islamic state. Obviously, their aim was to
resurrect their nuclear program because the only way they see

(48:07):
North Korea, that they see the only way to inoculate
themselves from exactly what happened on February twenty eighth, Death
from above at the hands of Israel and the United States.
I fundamentally don't understand how people don't see the utter
danger that are on cause, oh, well, they were far

(48:30):
off from getting a nuclear weapon. Yeah, they were still
trying to get a nuclear weapon, and a nuclear Iran
is the single worst thing that theoretically could happen to
the globe, because then you've got a self legitimized terror state.
Not legitimized in the eyes of the rest of the world,
but legitimized at the tip of a sword or more accurately,

(48:51):
at the tip of a ballistic missile, because of what
they can do if you cross them or you try
to take them out. Trump correctly surmond the danger there.
And yes, I know there are a lot of people
on my side who are gonna call me an old
neo con and I'll wear that badge somewhat proudly. As
someone who admitted that he was wrong about the idea

(49:14):
of nation building in Iraq, I still do believe that
the strategy for a permanent military base in presence in
a Rock's Bagdad Green Zone was the correct idea. George W.
Bush unfortunately gave way to Barack Obama, who had a
different strategy the troops. You know what, I could talk
for like five hours about why Bush's strategy was ultimately

(49:36):
correct and just like in Vietnam, it was unable to
be implemented because of domestic political pressure by the exact
same in some cases, the exact same anti war lefties
at home. Now, obviously, the big question with respect to
the Iran Memorandum of Understanding is what exactly is in

(49:57):
this agreement. There's a lot of speculation that the it
says capitulation coming from the White House. Well, they're not
saying what's in the deal, so that means necessarily it's
a terrible deal. Not necessarily. President Trump did say today
that he wants to hold a press conference where he's
just going to read word for word exactly what is

(50:18):
in this deal. He was asked today by a reporter
at the G seven, Okay, what is the timeline for
this taking effect exact from the second stage or the
negotiators and promise? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (50:30):
It's a sixty day period or so. I think it's
going to happen fairly on time. And we've been both involved.
I think they're going to want to get it done.
Iran wants to get it done. They have to get
back to.

Speaker 7 (50:43):
Business, and the relationship is now normalized.

Speaker 6 (50:49):
So I think it's going to go pretty quickly. Listening
could go faster. It could take longer too, but it
could go fast.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Got a love that is just textbook decision from the president. Here.
Could be fast, but it could take longer. Could be quick,
or it could be slow. I could of course. That
is your daily Trump date. What we can surmise about
this deal is that there is no cash changing hands.

(51:17):
That the big sticking point is how to deal with
what Trump has been calling the nuclear dust or enriched
partially enriched potentially near weapons grade uranium that is sitting
under the rubble of the bombed out four to nuclear
facility under a mountain the Iranians. I think, if I'm

(51:38):
reading this correctly, there are a grand total of two
nations on Earth that have the technological capability to go
down and get this nuclear material. Take a while, guess
what they are? Yeah, of course the United States and
China and whatever. People say, Well, the only countries that
can get down there are the United States and child
I'm going to say that the United States is the
only one that can get down there. China gets about

(51:59):
three quarters of the way and then they're cheaply built
plastic drill bit goes up in flames. The United States
is the om nation on earth that can can do
these sorts of technological wonders. And the big question here,
and the big open source of conflict is how exactly

(52:22):
Iran the United States, possibly the Chinese. The Iranians wanted
to allow the Chinese to go down there and to
get the enriched uranium for that. What what do you
think China is going to do? Turn it right back
over to the Iranian mulas, turn it right back over
to whoever it is that's actually in charge of Iran.
Trump is saying, no, absolutely not. We go down And

(52:44):
unlike the Obama deal, unlike Biden where we're unfreezing Iranian
assets just because just to say we love you and
we trust you, this deal does not allow any form
of sanctions relief save for the immediate end of the
naval blockade of Iranian ports until there is full compliance. Sure,

(53:08):
you can have your assets back, We can have normalized relations,
You could have normalized you can have a normal economy
inasmuch as you can actually produce in that glorified gas
station that the Ayatola called. What is so sad about
Iran is what an incredible place it was. Persia for

(53:29):
thousands of years was one of the greatest empires the
world had ever seen. Under the reign of the Xerxes,
it was one of the most progressive states in the
Middle East. I mean, it looked no further than the
pictures that you just look up women Iran under the
Shah or women before the Islamic Revolution. They were educated,

(53:53):
they dressed like American British contemporaries of the time. Then
it all changed because the fanatics, the crazies were allowed
to take over. And we've been dealing with the ramifications
ever since. Now I'm under no delusion that somehow we're
going to go back to like somehow the Shaw's son

(54:13):
or grandson is going to be allowed to ride back
in on his white horse. No, you've still got to
contend with the Revolutionary Guard Corps. You've still got to
contend with competing power bases within the remnants of the
Iranian regime. And this is the issue. We have no
idea who's actually in charge. Do you want to know
why Venezuela was so remarkably smooth because the Trump administration

(54:37):
found a willing partner in Dulcie Rodriguez, the Vice President,
who said, Okay, Dulcie will allow you to stay out
of prison if you do what we say. Yeah, yeah,
I am all about staying out of prison, mister President.
Whatever you want, I will get that oil flowing. We
have no idea, as you could imagine, seeing as it's

(54:57):
sort of like a game of carnival a mole. Every
time someone emerges over the last couple of months, as
in a leadership position in the Iranian regime, we just
take our mallet in the form of weaponized drones or
missiles and we whack them down. So the Iranian we

(55:19):
have no idea who it is that we're actually negotiating with.
If you can believe that this is why we needed
Oman to serve as an intermediary in these negotiations, because
we have absolutely no idea who it is that's actually
calling the shots. And the belief is that there are
competing factions who are attempting to assert their control and

(55:42):
trying to get what they wanted these negotiations and going
through the Oman mediators. And that's one of the big
reasons that this took so long. All Right, we're gonna
step aside for a break. Vice President jd Vance coming
up next. He was on the View this morning and
he humiliated the hosts. He confused them with facts and logic,

(56:07):
something that has never ever ever been on the View before.
That's coming up next. You're on the Dan o'donald show.
My producer Doug Russell and I were talking as I
said jd Vance was on the View. He said, you know,
how many people only knew that the View is still

(56:31):
on because you just mentioned it? Like, how many people
actually still watch the View? Can you name anybody who
watches the View? Like Boomer Liberal Wine ants, you are
the target audience for the View. The View should be
like catnip for you, just a bunch of Libs screeching

(56:51):
about how much they hate Trump. I don't think anybody
actually watches it anymore. And you know this is a
shame because and I mean this sincerely, I genuinely mean
this sincerely. I was not as down on Barbara Walters
as most conservatives. I am a student of broadcasting history,

(57:12):
and I know everybody that the SNL parody baba wah wah,
she was a pioneer. She was a trailblazer in news
and the show she envisioned was much more high minded
discussions of events for women by women, and for the
first couple of years it actually somewhat succeeded. Then of

(57:33):
course you get Joy Behar and Whoopee and Cherry Shepherd
and the lowest possible common denominators, and the View is
what it is. Vice President J. D. Vance today went
on The View and to say this was hostile territory
would be putting it mildly. They were out for blood.

(57:59):
They had nothing on him because well they don't really
say anything of substance. And JD. Vance should have reminded everybody,
to the twelve people who actually did watch him on
the View today, don't torture yourselves and go watch the
entire appearance. Although he was excellent, he was brilliant, he

(58:21):
was well, he was JD.

Speaker 3 (58:23):
Vance.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
This is what he does. By the way, did you
see the new poll out today There is now a
three way tie for the lead in the twenty twenty
eight presidential sweepstakes at sixteen percent. It is JD Marco Rubio,
and Gavin Newsom. Folks. I am not talking at all
about twenty twenty eight until we're through twenty twenty six.

(58:43):
But I just thought that was interesting. Even Trump himself
is saying JD and Marco that's the dream team, whether
it's JD as vice president for another term, I think, frankly,
I think Marco is our guy, just because there has
been nobody better, no one more front and the center.
But but vance reminded, I think everyone who follows this

(59:05):
stuff just how terrifyingly brilliant he is. Then again, it's
easy to look terrifyingly brilliant when you're matching wits with
Whoopee Goldberg, who utterly embarrassed herself with a question about
why the Trump administration is so racist and removing black

(59:28):
people from history or something?

Speaker 5 (59:30):
What did black people do to this administration that has
allowed it to really stigmatize folks of color? And you
know how hard it is you have folks of color
in your family. Sure, so when you see you know,

(59:52):
things the Emma Til stuff coming down or them doing
all kinds of removal of information black heroes, how do you,
how do you how does that sit with you?

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
Well?

Speaker 9 (01:00:06):
What what do you what exactly are you talking about?
Because you were talking about.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
No, no, I want I want to know what.

Speaker 5 (01:00:16):
So in in a lot of the hum museums just
there's so many I just you know, where they're taking
down the actual history that happened in this country.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
It's well, you know in like museums, there they were
like there were there were black people and now now
there are no black people in the museums. J D,
what's up with that? Huh?

Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
That?

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
What this it's the moderator of the view like two
decades ago that was considered like a prestigious perch on
which to sit in American media. What she's talking about
is the anti DEI push. It is not the removal
of black history. It's not getting rid of Emmett till.

(01:01:10):
It's changing the focus of say the National museums, right,
the Federal museums, the Smithsonian museums, Smithsonian museums, changing the
focus from So what tended to happen in the age
of Obama and really accelerated during Biden, was you had

(01:01:31):
this hyper focus on America's original sin, and like every
display had to be about slavery, had to be about
civil rights, had to be about how some way, in
some way America was bad and it was only woke
boomer liberals who made America good again. If you folks

(01:01:52):
wonder why it is that I have such a thing
against the boomer Libs, and please I sometimes I sometimes
accused of hating the boomer Conservatives. Right now, I guarantee
there is a boomer Conservative and probably like a hundred
of them chugging a Miller Lte while ripping a marb

(01:02:12):
Red and about to get on his Harley. How could
I possibly hate a boomer conservative like that? That's like
the stereotype in my head of a boomer conservative. I
always say he loves it when I say this. The
construction guru Nick Kerzner is like the alpha boomer Conservative,

(01:02:32):
just a big tough Harley dude who's like the nicest guy.
He is like the kindest, nicest dude. But if you
saw him in a bar, you'd be like, all right,
there is one guy in this bar I'm not going
to mess with because there would be a bottle of
high Life smashed over my head before and like a

(01:02:53):
broken pool cue smashed across my face. Now now see no, no,
Nick Kersner is like the kindest, most gentle guy. It's
a kind of but he is like when I think
of the boomer conservative, that's who I think of, just
like the last general, like easy Rider, like if Dennis
Hopper was still alive. Right, I just think boomer Conservatives
are like the coolest people ever. Boomer Libs, on the

(01:03:15):
other hand, I hate you with every fiber of my being. No,
I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I always say there is nothing
more cringe than a boomer lib. But there was this
weird thing when the boomer Libs got into academia that
the focus of American history became nothing more than how

(01:03:36):
boomer Libs during the Civil Rights era and the Vietnam
Protest era were like the only great American heroes. It's
the ultimate narcissistic power move. So what the Trump administration
did is as part of its DEI push, and let's
not kid ourselves. DEI is absolutely unconstitutional on its face.

(01:03:58):
It is a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment equal protection
under the law because it elevates people of one race
based on no characteristic other than race, completely unconstitutional. That
extended to museum exhibits. So the focus of this was
changed from hey, how the boomer lives saved society from

(01:04:22):
America's systemic racism to an accurate portrayal of American history,
and you know, focusing on stuff other than why America
is so bad. Now, there was actually a pretty substantive discussion.
It wasn't just Whoopi Goldberg embarrassing herself. It was also JD.

(01:04:43):
Van's embarrassing Sonny Houston. Now, Sunny Houston constantly reminds people.
She might be the only person in broadcasting who reminds
people that they're a lawyer more than I do.

Speaker 6 (01:04:55):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
I always say I'm not a lawyer. I went to
law school. But in case you're wondering why, I wax
philosophical about the Constitution and all sorts of boring crap
all the time. That's why Sunny Houston actually makes me
embarrassed for the legal profession, which I hold in esteemed regard,
because the practice of law. I was actually telling a

(01:05:16):
kid during a graduation party over the weekend. Law school
doesn't teach you about the law, per se. It teaches
you how to think. It turns out it should turn
out class after class of thinkers. And then there's Sunny Houston.
She was talking about, of course, just how terrible ice

(01:05:36):
raids are, and how racist and how terroristic and how
Nazi like they are. I want you to listen to JD.
Van's absolutely floring her with facts and lawns.

Speaker 8 (01:05:49):
The majority of people that ICE is rounding up and
taking taking out of their homes from their families. They're
separating families. They're using children as hay but not critical.

Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
But can I respond to that? Guys, let me just
say this.

Speaker 9 (01:06:02):
Okay, so you talk about the children, Here's what I'd say.
Do we know that during the last administration we had
tens of thousands of children who were sex trafficked by
the cartels, who were brought into our country in profoundly
dangerous and predatory conditions. But here's the point, unless you

(01:06:23):
enforce the border, you invite that kind of conduct. You
think that our immigration policies are inhumane based on the
reporting of one person with a political bias. What I'm
telling you is that it's inhumane to allow cartels to
sex traffic people across.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
From the border. And by the way, I appreciate that
after they could only let like forty five seconds of
actual intelligent discourse go and then they all had to
start talking over each other as they do on every
other show, enforcement of law, protection of children, protection of

(01:07:05):
all people, including the migrants who are coming to this country.
Trump's border policy has saved the lives of countless people
who would have otherwise thrown their lives and all caution
to the wind by paying and getting deeply in debt
to the worst people on earth, the drug cartels, which

(01:07:27):
have gotten into the coyote business ferrying people across the border.
This was huge business during the Biden administration. Well, you
get to America and everybody focuses on the sex trafficking
and all of this. The biggest issue is the trafficking
of migrants, miners and adults alike for labor to pay

(01:07:47):
off the debts that they're incurring at the hands of
the cartel. One of the biggest businesses that the cartels
have is they're just shaking down illegal immigrants, threatening them
with violence or commit violent acts against them if they
don't pay up the ten twenty thousand dollars that it
would take to get them from Nicaragua to the United States.

(01:08:09):
Not only that, I mean, how many times did we
see There was one horrific case where there were what
dozens I think it was two dozen illegal immigrants who
were left to die in the sweltering heat in the
back of a semi You had drownings of people dying
in this country. We have tens of thousands, if not

(01:08:32):
hundreds of thousands of children that we have no idea
where they are. That the Biden administration got them into
this country and after that, I don't know. You're on
your own kids. Now, that's probably good when it was
the drug cartels that got them in here. What Vance
is saying, and what people who understand policy and understand

(01:08:55):
the value of law and order understand that the view
apparently doesn't, is that this is making life safe for everybody. Yes,
I get it. This is the greatest country on earth.
If I wasn't here, I would want to get my
family here, and I would be desperate to do so.
But my goodness, if we can keep people from throwing

(01:09:20):
in with the dregs of society to get them here,
and instead to get them here legally or better yet,
how about we make their countries a better place by
getting rid of the systemic corruption and the inevitably left
wing military juntas and tinpot dictators who set up shop

(01:09:41):
in South America and Central America and the place that
predominantly these people are coming to America from. That's how
you make things better. As a masterful performance, I would
strongly suggest going on social media and checking out a
whole lot of the clips from JD Vance Dan O'Donnell's
show coming back in just a second.

Speaker 6 (01:10:00):
Your classical conservatism contemporary style.

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
The Dan o'donald Show is coming right back, coming up
after the top of the hour. We have another chance
to be like our listener in Brookfield, and I apologize.
I don't know what it is. I can never, for
the life of me remember the names of our winners.

(01:10:27):
I'll remember somebody who texted me some random fart joke
like five weeks later. Jim in Brookfield, Rich John Bill,
Kyle Kyle of Brookfield. Sorry about that. Kyle Kyle is
listening to us in the five o'clock hour on Friday.
He won twenty five hundred dollars in our two fifty

(01:10:47):
k USA giveaway here on the Dan o'donald Show, two
hundred and fifty thousand dollars in twenty five hundred dollars
increments from now until Freedom Eve, the third of July
the fourth this year, is on a Saturday, and it
is going to be the biggest party this country has
ever seen. Governor Tony Evers, though, isn't exactly sending Wisconsin's

(01:11:13):
best to the Great American State Fair. That is the
massive celebration that is going to be going on starting
in a couple of days. Actually, it's going to run
roughly two three weeks before the Fourth of July, and
then after it's it's the concept is a state fair
from all fifty states plus the District of Columbia on
the National Mall. It's going to be topped off by

(01:11:36):
are you ready for this? The single biggest fireworks display
in world history. President Trump has ordered eight hundred and
fifty one thousand fireworks for the Fourth of July in Washington,
d c. Eight hundred and fifty one thousand. Meanwhile, in Milwaukee,

(01:11:58):
we're going to have a drone show. We're gonna have
a couple of drones. They're gonna make the shape of
a cow. It's gonna be awesome. I actually love drone shows.
I believe our good friend Michael Hupy is sponsoring it. Again. Look,
you talk about polishing the turd of Democrat leadership as

(01:12:22):
best as you possibly can that is Hupye and the
people who put together the drone show, I think a
bunch of communities. I think Brookfield or New Berlin that
they do a drone show one night fireworks on the
fourth of July. For the second straight year, Milwaukee is
not going to have a third of July fireworks display.

(01:12:42):
I have still yet to get a straight answer from
anyone in Milwaukee County government, as do I all of
a sudden, I know the reason is environmental, and the
deeper reason is, well, we just don't think it's worth it,
because we don't think America is worth all the expense
and all the trouble of a fourth of July fireworks display,

(01:13:04):
even on the two hundred and fiftieth birthday. Now it's
tradition for those who are not from Milwaukee, like why
July third, that's weird? Why not on July fourth? It's
because so many people are in the suburbs, so many
people are in different communities across southeast Wisconsin that Milwaukee

(01:13:24):
doesn't want to take away from. There's what one hundred
thousand people typically would go down to the lakefront for
the July third fireworks display, if not more. They didn't
want all of those people going away from like Greenfield
or West Allis or wherever. So the suburbs, all of
the smaller communities have their big displays on the fourth.

(01:13:45):
It's sort of like a full weekend. And then last
year they decided, we're not going to do that again.
This coincided with a whole lot of municipalities deciding that
they're not going to do fireworks now. It would be like, okay,
who cares right? Like literally, Benjamin Franklin, of all people,
when the Declaration of Independence was signed July seventeen seventy six,

(01:14:10):
predicted that its occasion would be celebrated with fireworks forever.
Sure enough, the very first fireworks display celebrating the fourth
of July was July fourth, seventeen seventy seven. That's how
far back the tradition goes. You want to know why

(01:14:32):
it may not feel like America is doing as much
as it did for the two hundredth for this two
hundred and fiftieth anniversaries, because places like Milwaukee, run by
Democrats like David Crowley, don't have much of an interest
in doing big, bold, patriotic displays for a country that

(01:14:52):
frankly they tolerate more than love. You're listening to The
Dan O'Donnell Show. Unsung Hero of the Day. Next, Welcome
back to the Dan o'donald Show. We do have a

(01:15:13):
lot of fun here on the program. We're gonna have
some fun uniting with the rest of humanity, not at
the World Cup, but in making fun of Francesca Honk's
New York Knicks tweet that coming up after the top
of the hour news plus the state of the Democratic race,
and much much more. Right now though it is a

(01:15:33):
heartwarming edition of the Unsung Hero of the Day. Today's
Unsung Heroine of the Day is Sarah Levin or Levin
I Apologize Sarah. I read about her story in a

(01:15:54):
fantastic piece by jack albright Over at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
She is one hundred and nine years young, if I
may do my Willard Scott impression. She lives in Brookfield,
and how did she celebrate her one hundred ninth birthday
with a ride on a fire truck with her family?

(01:16:15):
Of course, beautiful picture in this story of her, her children,
her grandchildren, her great grandchildren. Sarah says the secret to
her longevity is walking. She said, I think walking helps.
I walked all my life. Anything else, she continued, I

(01:16:37):
didn't eat junk food, diet an exercise. You heard it
first here Wisconsin, writes Albright. It's quite the trade off.
You got to exercise, you got to eat right. But
to live to one hundred and nine and to be
as healthy and happy and beautiful as Sarah, I think

(01:17:00):
that one's a no brainer. Sarah Levin is your unsung
hero of the day. Very strongly recommend check it out
this article. It's a great story of her life and
just wonderful writing from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel JS online
dot com. Stay tuned, Dan o'donald show back in just
a second. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, five o'clock hour

(01:17:23):
here on the Dan o'donald Show. Over the commercial break,
I was getting caught up on the group chat for
our staff over at the Heartland Post getting madder and
matter and matter patriots. They are over what Tony Evers

(01:17:44):
is sending to the National Mall to represent Wisconsin as
part of the Great American State Fair. This, of course
is President Trump's. It's a big party. And one of
our writers, very very talented guy by the name of
Justin Phillips. He is also one half of the New

(01:18:05):
Fashioned Conservatives, great podcast about Wisconsin politics. He's actually heading
out to Washington, d C. For the fourth of July.
I couldn't convince anybody in my family to go. I
was like, guys, I've been to the White House a
bunch of times. Like we could use our connections. We
could be like watching the fireworks right next. I told

(01:18:26):
my son Nick, I'm like, you could be sitting on
Trump's lap watching the fireworks. They didn't care. They wanted
to hang out with their friends over the summer. I'd
probably get into some you know what, I would be
in like the overflow of the overflow area for that
UFC fight event. But obviously we here at the dan

(01:18:48):
o'donalds are very friendly with the Trump administration, and Justin
is going and he's really excited to take his kids
to go to the National Mall and see the Great
American State Fair. Well, you might have heard all of
the headlines surrounding this. Libs would literally threaten everybody, and
it was a shockingly weak lineup. I think they had

(01:19:10):
the living half of Milli Vanilli. I think Milly died
some years ago. It was Robin fab right. I think
fab Fabrizio died like Milly was set to perform for
America's two fiftieth Vanilla Ice Martina McBride, and one by
one by one, they all dropped out. Trump administration did

(01:19:34):
it a very smart pivot. Why try to don't try
to compete with the left forgetting musical stars. You're gonna
be stuck with what kid rock, Ted Nugent and Lee Greenwood.
Very nice guy by the way, met him at the RNC.
Insanely nice guy. Don't try to compete with the left

(01:19:56):
wing New York LA tastemakers. You know what they did instead?
The big highlight, the like, the main featured performer is
going to be American Rodeo two fifty. Now with that,
as soon as I said that, every bougie lib from
Shorewood to Brookfield just rolled their eyes and chucks, Oh yeah,

(01:20:19):
the rodeo. You know what I said to that, That's awesome.
What better way to celebrate America's heritage and history than that?
What do we got? We got auto racing coming up.
We had a big mma fight on the White House lawn.
We've got rodeo, we had motorcycle stunt teams performing on

(01:20:39):
the White House lawn before UFC's Freedom Too fifty event
this Sunday night. This is programming directly to the people
who actually love America red staters, who will unironically go
to a rodeo, who will enjoy an MMA fight, and folks,
I'm not a big MMA guy. I think I've been

(01:21:00):
very upfront about that. Call me a sissy if you
like I've cried at my share of hang nails. No,
it's a little brutal. I love boxing. I always had.
I just it ugh the ground and pounds and the
main event when Tipurio is just busted open, you could
tell the guy was the walking wounded and then the
last knee to the ribs broke about five different ribs

(01:21:25):
from Justin Gayea. It's just it's a brutal sport. But man,
oh man, did I enjoy watching every single fight on
that card. I can accept. Okay, it's not something that
I normally watch, but it's awesome. It's it's spectacle, it's cool.
The libs were never going to allow any of those

(01:21:47):
musical acts to perform without getting harassed, so a number
of them dropped out, citing security concerns, or they were
citing the fact that they were getting threatened with boycotts,
or that all of their lib quote unquote fans would
turn on them. So one by one by one they
dropped out. Well, I just Blue Staters for the most part.

(01:22:15):
And this isn't me just you know, conservative from flyover
country shooting his mouth off. I can back up, folks,
just I always back up every single thing I say
with data. You've got people on the left that just
don't like this country at all. Just twenty nine percent

(01:22:35):
of self described Democrats in an NBC newspool released yesterday
said that they're either very or extremely proud to be
an American twenty nine percent. Compare that with ninety percent
of Republicans. And this actually holds for years. Every year

(01:22:55):
Gallup does what's known as the Patriotism Survey, and it's
pretty much after nine to eleven there was a huge
surgeon patriotism from both parties. This survey started right before
nine to eleven. It was first done in June of
two thousand and one. Then you can see in two
thousand and six when Dems had to win a mid term,

(01:23:16):
so they spent all year even before that in two
thousand and five with Hurricane Katrina convincing you that, in
the immortal words of Kanye, George Bush doesn't care about
black people and that George Bush is a war criminal.
Bush is hitler. They said all the same stuff about
Bush that they're saying about Trump. You could see love

(01:23:37):
for country and patriotism decline. The fact that now waiving
the American flag is seen as conservative or Republican coded
that you can actually tell with pretty astonishing accuracy whether
someone who's a conservative or a liberal just by looking

(01:23:59):
outside their home to see if they're flying an American flag.
That says something right there. So we're going to get
into this in a little bit. Tony, Ever, is just
embarrassing representation of Wisconsin. The big attraction for Wisconsin, for
the Great American State Fair is a fiberglass freaking cow. No,

(01:24:22):
it's not like a robotic cow. It's not like an
Elon Musk super computer AI cow. It's a freaking cow
made of fiberglass. End of attraction, something that will actually
get you excited about Wisconsin, about America's two hundred and
fiftieth twenty five hundred bucks. We had a winter Kyle

(01:24:45):
from Brookfield. He was listening to us in the five
o'clock hour on Friday evening. He was our nationwide winner.
He is now twenty five hundred dollars richer b like
Kyle and go to our website. Enter the keyword America
A M E R C A. For all of you
commis who don't know how to spell America, go to

(01:25:07):
our website. Enter the keyword America. You have got until
five point fifty five. If your entry has picked at random,
you will win twenty five hundred dollars. Plenty of chances
to win. We are playing each and every weekday eight eleven,
two and five pm. Your next chance to win comes
up tomorrow morning, but right now, twenty five hundred dollars

(01:25:28):
on the line. Go to our website, enter the keyword America.
Very few things bring people together quite like sports spectacles,
the World Cup, UFC Freedom two fifty. Although even that

(01:25:51):
you saw, of course, the Libs yesterday, right do we
have that? Okay, here we go. The Libs could not
just enjoy the UFC Freedom too fifty. They actually tried
to counterprogram it with this, oh.

Speaker 3 (01:26:07):
You fashes bowl, you bowl, you fascist bound lou.

Speaker 4 (01:26:14):
Heilrea a fascist.

Speaker 7 (01:26:16):
Let me put you straight.

Speaker 5 (01:26:18):
When you come for the rest of us, we'll fight
you at the gate and you will lose.

Speaker 1 (01:26:24):
You fascist bawd lou. Okay, did I say I hate
the Boomer Libs. I love the Boomer Libs. They are
so cringe. They bring me a wife. So spectacle brings
us together. Usually the World Cup brings us together, The
Super Bowl, that sort of thing. The NBA Championship, New
York Knicks close a fifty three year title list run,

(01:26:48):
a championship drought that lasted more than a half a century.
It is an incredible, incredible evening. No, none of those
things by themselves have brought people together. Only making fun
of francesco Han, Wisconsin's socialist state representative and one of
the leading candidates for the Democratic nomination for governor, has

(01:27:09):
literally united left and right alike as they are all
pardoned the pun dunking on her cringey video and tweet
celebrating a New York championship. It's a very exciting time.
It's very excited. Yeah, that was her screaming and dancing

(01:27:47):
around after New York, not Milwaukee. New York won the championship. Look,
I was rooting for the Knicks as well. I always
loved the Bulls in the nineteen nineties, but as off
spot in my heart for the Patrick Ewing, John Starks,
Charles Oakley, Greg Anthony Knicks teams coached by Pat Riley.

(01:28:08):
Anybody who accuses Dan O'Donnell of not knowing ball, especially
ball from thirty years ago, Yeah, I'll bet you I
could name that entire starting lineup of the team that
lost to Jordan in ninety four after the ninety four No.
Ninety three, after they went up two to zero on
the road, Jordan's Bulls came back and beat him four

(01:28:29):
straight games in the Eastern Conference Finals. It would have
been Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, remember he had
the intricate designs cut into his hair, John Starks, and
Greg Anthony. But I believe they also started occasionally Charlie Ward,
the Heisman Trophy winner from Florida State's football team. He
also played basketball. He occasionally started at the point for

(01:28:52):
the Knicks. Yeah, I know ball. And by the way,
that Bulls team Bill carrottright at this center, Horace Grant
at the four, Scottie Pippen, Jordan and either John Paxson
or bj Armstrong. They rotated at the point, there is
this weird thing amongst lefties that they have to get
ultra performative on social media when rooting for NBA basketball,

(01:29:17):
not WNBA, where you would think you could be extra
wokeno NBA basketball. That's what Franni hawng was doing. And
she accompanied that video of her going nuts for the
Knicks championship with this message. New York City elected a
socialist mayor and the Knicks won their first championship in
fifty three years. Imagine what we could do with a
socialist governor in Wisconsin now. Almost immediately, Scott Walker, decidedly

(01:29:40):
non socialist governor of Wisconsin, pointed out that the only
time the Green Bay Packers have won the Super Bowl
was when a Republican was governor of Wisconsin, including him
twenty eleven, when Aaron Rodgers and the Packers won their
last championship. Ben Shapiro, conservative podcaster and media mogul, points

(01:30:02):
out the salaries of the New York Knicks this year
Karl Anthony Towns fifty three million, oj Onanobi thirty nine million, total,
Knicks Payol two hundred and seven million, dollars. Yes, so
much socialism in Francesco Hang Scott Greer, prominent conservative. Strange

(01:30:23):
how every leftist in the US felt personally invested in
the Knicks. There is no reason for a Wisconsin gubernatorial
candidate to show off her Knicks celebration. That's the weirdest thing.
It's like, yeah, okay, I'm old enough to remember when
Tom Tiffany made a campaign video or an ad where

(01:30:46):
he talked about his love for the Brewers, Packers, and
Badgers and left out the Bucks and Libs. Of course,
you've got to be performative about your love for the NBA.
All freaked out, this woman is like she personally just
won a championship when a random out of town team did.

Speaker 6 (01:31:09):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Jack?

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (01:31:10):
McGuire Jack Mack for Barstool Sports. What a video Wisconsin
politician cheering for a New York team equating a capitalist
team winning thanks to a socialist mayor tagging the franchises,
And she did. She tagged at Nicks at Spurs. Again,

(01:31:31):
this is in Wisconsin. Why are they all cheering for
the Knicks? That is a great, great question, mister Mack,
And I can't think of any industry more capitalist in
its philosophy than professional sports. Yes, I know there's collective bargaining.

(01:31:51):
Yes I know there's salary caps and revenue sharing, but
sports is the ultimate in performance base. There is no
apparatchick who is just on the team because he's loyal
to the power, he's loyal to the party, unless, of course,

(01:32:14):
you're like one of the Ante Tokumpo brothers, or you're
Brownie James, then you get put on an NBA roster.
But it's sort of like professional sports. Sports in general
is sort of like the ultimate in competition, right it's
you either perform or you don't. You can either play
at the highest level or you can't. This is what

(01:32:37):
liberals still fundamentally can't understand. Do you know there are
still leftists who know absolutely nothing about football who will
try to tell you with a straight face that Colin
Kaepernick is a better quarterback right now than half of
the NFL. The man hasn't been in the league for
ten years. He was on his way out. He was
benched in San Francisco. Because defense is real that if

(01:33:00):
you just took away the run, the guy couldn't do
what you know you sort of need to do as
a quarterback, and that's throw the ball accurately. Sports is egalitarian.
Sports is the ultimate in capitalist enterprise meritocracy. Thank you, Doug.
That's the word I was looking for. It is the

(01:33:22):
ultimate meritocracy. Do you think that if I don't know
Yannis perfect example, perfect example. Yannis came from absolutely nowhere.
Yannis might be one of the last NBA superstars who

(01:33:45):
the entire league had no idea about. You know, it's
sort of like that old Kevin Bacon movie The Air
Up There where he goes to Africa. He's a basketball
scout to scout like some seven foot five Dinka tribesmen.
Honest was in Greece, but nobody knew who he was.
He was playing in the top leagues and the Buck
scouting staff saw something in him and he became a superstar.

(01:34:10):
When Bin Yama, everybody knew who he was. He was
probably seven foot two by the time he was twelve
years old. Everybody knew who he was throughout his entire
developments as a youth basketball player. But it doesn't matter
where you come from. In sports, it's like the opposite
of socialism. So it is hilarious to see. And I

(01:34:31):
mean there were as if right now, I think one
and a half thousand replies to one point seven thousand,
seventeen hundred replies to Hong's tweet. It's been seen three
point five million times. There are hundreds and hundreds and
hundreds of quote tweets. Pretty much everybody making fun of

(01:34:52):
her for it. It was hilarious.

Speaker 7 (01:34:54):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:34:54):
When we come back here on the Dan O'Donnell Show,
we are going to get into the state of the
Democratic race. Mandela Barnes responds to his surprising sixth place
finish in the straw Pool and much more. Got a

(01:35:18):
text from Kyle in Shorewood, Dan, nobody is impressed by
your ability to read off names from nineteen nineties basketball teams.
I am impressed, Kyle, I am impressed. You want to
know the starting lineup of the championship Houston Rockets teams

(01:35:39):
Paquim E LaJuan Otis Thorpe. Did they have Clyde the
Glide Drexler? Was he Vernon, mad Max Maxwell, Sam Cassell
later of Milwaukee Bucks fame. Yeah, I know ball. No, Kyle,
just giving me a hard time. Loyal listener there always
do appreciated. If you would like to text us, I

(01:36:04):
try to read every single text. I get ladies and
gentlemen and respond to as many of them as I
can during the commercial breaks. I always have fun interacting
with our listeners. Carpetland, USA, Flooring Center Talk and text
Line four one, four seven nine nine eleven thirty. You
can also email me dood at iHeartMedia dot com. Democratic
State Convention this weekend and the straw poll is getting

(01:36:27):
inordinate amounts of attention, not because it can really tell
us anything about the true state of the race. It can't.
It can tell you who's six hundred. I believe it
was something like fifty percent of the delegates to the
convention actually voted in this thing. It's put on every
year by wispolitics dot com. But it is a data point,

(01:36:48):
and it's not like a presidential race where you get
polls every single day or every single couple of days.
What is unique about this one, though, is that it
was obvious from the very start that Mandela Barnes was
not wanted by the Party Faithful. They did not want

(01:37:08):
him to run because they believe that he blew the
Senate race in twenty twenty two. They cleared the field
for him. They essentially rigged the primary for him, and
he responded by losing a race on the same ballot
that Tony Evers won by three or four percentage points.

(01:37:29):
He lost to Ron Johnson. Now, it turned out to
be a strong incumbent year. Every single incumbent, both Republican
and Democrat, that ran statewide in Wisconsin won reelection. Was
that Barnes' fault. Probably he ran a terrible campaign, and
he's run a terrible campaign this time. He hasn't done

(01:37:51):
anything to stand out. He's been skating by on name recognition.
But it was obvious from the time that Barnes was
thinking about get into the race and telling everybody in
the universe that he was going to get in the
race that the Democrats planted a story in The New
York Times with a whole bunch of insiders named and
unnamed from the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, all telling Reed Epstein,

(01:38:15):
that's the New York Times reporter. That's not like Jeffrey
Epstein's actually a very very good reporter for the New
York Times. He covers a ton of Wisconsin politics nationally,
and of course he's the one who writes this story
because he's got tons of connections inside the Democrat Party,
and all of them are saying, basically, Mandela, don't run. Mandela,
you are not going to get the support that you

(01:38:37):
got four years ago. You had your chance. The belief
is that it's very difficult, if not impossible, to run
statewide again after you've lost. We're going to go in
a different direction. They sure did. The left wing socialist
kook base went with Francesca Haun And now it looks

(01:38:58):
as though the establishment, more moderate, kooky left wing Dems,
the more pragmatic Democrats who actually care about a candidate's
ability to win a general election, look like they're starting
to gravitate towards Sarah Rodriguez. Once again, the straw poll
revealed just how much the party's faithful, the party insiders

(01:39:22):
really really don't like Mandela Barnes. Rodriguez put out an
internal poll the day before the convention started last week.
It showed Barnes up twenty six percent to twenty two
over Hong, with Rodriguez in third place at fifteen percent.
Barnes got just seven percent of the vote, finishing sixth

(01:39:42):
of seven in that straw Pole. That's once again like
what that was Again, It doesn't matter. Pete Bootajij, for
goodness sakes, won the presidential straw pole. Pete Botagieje is
not going to be the party's nominee in twenty twenty eight.
It doesn't matter whether Sarah Rodriguez won, and she did.

(01:40:05):
Franny Honk finished a close second. The fact that Mandela
Barnes only got forty two delegates to say he was
their top choice. Now he may he may end up
winning this nomination. Democrats may be stuck with him, but
they really don't like him, and they met that abundantly

(01:40:26):
clear again with that straw pole. So today Barnes is
at an event and he's talking with reporters, and the
excellent political reporter Matt Smith, host of Upfront, also reporter
with Channel twelve, asked Barnes about that straw pole and
whether he was concerned about his sixth place finish. Barnes well,

(01:40:48):
rambled on for about a minute and a half. Let's
talk about the race at the convention. You came in
sixth in the straw pole. How did that happen?

Speaker 9 (01:40:54):
Then?

Speaker 3 (01:40:54):
Well, if straw poles were accurate representation of where the
people of the state were, Jim Deus nor Tony Evers
would be governor of Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (01:41:02):
So to that point, okay, okay, hold On Barnes totally
tried to memorize a line that was clearly fed to
him by his campaign consultants. If that were the case,
neither Tony Evers nor Jim Doyle would be governor. He
botched it. He didn't say neither nor. So it was

(01:41:25):
Tony Evers nor I don't know that for sure, but
as somebody who speaks extemporaneously a lot and occasionally has
to work in pre written things, that was a pre
written script that was in his head that somebody said, Okay,
if they ask you about the straw pole, this is
what you say. And he didn't quite get the line right. This,

(01:41:48):
ladies and gentlemen, is the in depth political insight you
only get here on the Dan o'donald show. Okay, let's
start this out. Let's talk about the race at the convention.
You came in sixth in the straw pole. How did
that happen?

Speaker 3 (01:41:58):
Well, I'll tell you. If straw poles were ACTI representation
of where the people of the state were, Jim Doyle
nor Tony Ebers will be governor of Wisconsin. So to
that point, I'm looking forward to the debate that you
all are hosting, and my message will be very loud
and clear, the message that's resonating most with people across
the state of Wisconsin. Most recent polls have shown me
in the lead, and that's because we've been all across

(01:42:18):
Wisconsin taking the fight directly to Tom Tiffany, but not
only holding Tom Tiffany accountable, holding large corporations accountable, holding
a billionaire class accountable. That's made life difficult for folks
doing this, rejecting corporate pack money because our focus has
been and will continue to be on the people of
the state of Wisconsin, and also providing a very clear
vision to lower costs on day one, to provide healthcare,

(01:42:41):
create good paying jobs, do everything we can to embrace
new technology, new energy, and lower costs.

Speaker 1 (01:42:47):
And you hold on. Barnes in one sentence, declares as
his stated enemies who he's taking the fight to, the
quote big corporations and the billionaire class. He then is
celebrating new technology that lowers energy.

Speaker 10 (01:43:09):
Who the hell does he think is providing this new technology?
The guy who just became a trillionaire has been responsible
for more technological innovation than any other man on earth.
But that's the enemy of the socialist Dems like Mandela
bar Oh, yes, yes, yes, we are ushering in new

(01:43:32):
technology and new innovation. We don't think billionaire should be
allowed to exist, and we are going to break up
every corporation that could ever possibly provide you with technological innovation.

Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, we totally, we totally love industrialisness
and entrepreneur show. Let's finish things off with Matt Smith
trying desperately to bring Mandela back to the actual question.

Speaker 3 (01:43:57):
Gility bills and focus on improving of life to make
sure Wisconsin is the best place to live, work and
raise a family. Why do you think that was though, Well,
I can tell you, like I said, govern Heavers or
Jim Doyle would not exist if the straw poll was
an accurate representation that has been tried and true.

Speaker 1 (01:44:12):
Okay, first of all, I'm pretty sure they would still exist.
They wouldn't like disappear like it's back to the future
that somehow the straw pole messed with events in nineteen
fifty five and all of a sudden, diamond Jim Doyle
and Governor Evers. You got a picture of him that
they're slowly disappearing. No, it doesn't work like that. I'm
fairly certain they would still exist. I see what he's

(01:44:34):
saying though, And by the way, I did not have
time to go back and look at who won the
straw poll in the years that Doyle won election for
the first time two thousand and two and then evers
in twenty eighteen.

Speaker 6 (01:44:46):
He is right.

Speaker 1 (01:44:48):
I mean, there's no denying Barnes is right. The problem
for him, though, is that this laid bare how much
the party faith will despise him, do not want him
to be the nominee, and confirmed everything that we have
been reporting here on the Dan O'donnald Show, and that
pretty much every honest broker has been reporting about Barnes

(01:45:08):
and the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and the insiders who
ultimately do select nominees. They can't stand him, and they,
I think, are going to have to make a very
tough decision very very soon. Are they comfortable with Francesca Hong.
I really do believe that even though Mandela's got the

(01:45:30):
name recognition, he is running a lazy, lackluster campaign in
which he's saying nothing, he's doing nothing, He's putting forth
new policy proposals. He's exciting nobody. Hang. Meanwhile, all press
is good press. Right, even though she's getting dunked on
from all four corners of the earth for her ridiculous

(01:45:50):
and insanely cringe NBA Championship post, she's getting a ton
of buzz. It's either to be her or I think
Democrats are signaling through that straw pole that, all right,
Sarah Rodriguez, you're going to be the candidate who if

(01:46:11):
we try to force Franni and Mandela and everybody else
out of this race, we're going to essentially rig the
primary for you. Here's your problem. I don't think Francesca
Hon can be bought like Sarah Godluski, who dropped out
of the race because she was clearly promised Secretary of
State and to be able to run for I don't know,

(01:46:33):
lieutenant governor this year. I think she was promised the
Senate nomination in twenty twenty eight for dropping out in
twenty twenty two. What are they going to give Francesca Han.
They're going to promise her that she would get the
Senate nom in twenty eight. I don't think she would
be bought off by that. You got to be like

(01:46:55):
Hillary Clinton and ensure that the world's number one socialist
Bernie san goes from one house to three houses after
he drops out of the presidential primary in twenty sixteen.
I don't know, but as it stands right now, I
don't think anybody outside of party insiders is excited by

(01:47:17):
likes or wants a Sarah Rodriguez candidacy. The only one
who's really engendering any buzz on that side is Francesca Hank.
That's a big problem because if you couldn't tell, Tom
Tiffany is sitting there on the other side and saying, yes,
please please nominate Franny Honng, nominate a radical socialist. If

(01:47:38):
you think the craziest thing that she said is yes,
I envision a world with no prisons. Yes, I'm going
to sick the National Guard on ice agents. If I'm governor,
you got another thing coming. I guarantee the Republican Party
has got a file on this woman a mile long.
The problem is what happened if it's beyond a parent

(01:48:02):
that Democrats pull this thing right from Huang and try
to steer it towards someone they really really don't like.
Sarah Rodriguez shades of Hillary Clinton a decade ago. That
could be a big problem. Tony Evers embarrasses the state
with Wisconsin's entry into the Great American State Fair. That
story next. The Great American State Fair is a sixteen

(01:48:32):
day mega event celebrating America's two hundred and fiftieth birthday
on the National Ball in Washington, d C. June twenty
fifth to July tenth. All sorts of celebrations organized under
the banner of President Trump's Freedom to fifty. Governor Tony
Evers was tasked with having a representation of Wisconsin. Every

(01:49:00):
state is going to have displays. It's going to have
its own area to sell. Think of it as like
almost like a mini World's Fair with just the fifty
states all on the National Mall. I couldn't believe when
Justin Phillips, one of our writers over at the Heartland Post,

(01:49:21):
who is going to the Great American State Fair, going
to America's two hundred and fiftieth Birthday in Washington, d C.
Wrote about what it is that Evers is sending to
represent Wisconsin at the Great American State Fair. He writes
Heartlandpost dot com, we have got this up of course
across social media. For the Great American State Fair, Evers

(01:49:44):
assigned a mid level bureaucrat from the Department of Veterans
Affairs to run point for the entire state. Not the
marketing team from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, not anyone
from the Department of Tourism who know a thing or
two about selling the state. Run by Ever's most competent
agency head, and Sayers, just a veteran affairs paper pusher.

(01:50:05):
That is true, by the way, and Sayers is spectacular.
I'll say this as Ever's number one political critic, she
is fantastic. As the Secretary of Tourism, the results speak
for themselves. Wisconsin's pavilion will feature a fiberglass dairy cow

(01:50:26):
with a milking stool for photo ops and a Harley
Davidson motorcycle. That's it for the big draws. There will
be no beer, no cheese curds, no pull tabs, no brandy, nothing.
The iconic tastes of Wisconsin, the things that actually make
people think of the state, are absent due to supposed

(01:50:49):
budget timing and refrigeration issues. A real promotional team would
have figured it out. Ever's single bureaucrat in charge sent
excuses instead. This isn't support, This is lazy, minimal effort, sabotage,
doing the bare minimum to participate. Then there is the

(01:51:09):
America two fifty time capsule, sealed this month in Maryland
and scheduled for burial on July fourth in Philadelphia, to
be opened in twenty two seventy six. What did Eber's
administration contribute on behalf of Wisconsin letters from the governor
and five other officials, a Civil War era bald eagle feather,

(01:51:32):
a Harley Owners Group coin, a veteran's pin, and of
course the real focus, a key chain bearing the seal
of the Forest County Pottawatomie Community pins for the Great
Lakes inter Tribal Council. While I was sanging, I'm not
even going to try to pronounce ziema gani shang patch

(01:51:56):
seriously zhimaa ga nshag patch. And a set of cards
representing the state's indigenous peoples. In other words, a tin
can full of woke land acknowledgment virtue signaling not a
single item that shows Wisconsin pride to an average citizen.
No packers, no cheese, no manufacturing legacy, no fishing heritage,

(01:52:19):
no supper club culture, no old school beer, just the
same performative indigenous boiler plate that left wing administrations shove
into every official document these days. Future generations opening that
time capsule in twenty two seventy six will not see
the Wisconsin that built world class dairy operations, legendary motorcycles,

(01:52:40):
iconic sports franchises, and generations of tough, self reliant people.
They'll see a governor more interested in checking progressive boxes
than in celebrating the state he was elected to lead.
That is justin Phillips writing for our digital web initiative,
The Heartland put is just phenomenal writing, and as I

(01:53:03):
was reading it, I was getting more and more ticked off.
We have a fiberglass dairy cow and a Harley motorcycle
and that's it for the Wisconsin pavilion. We've got a
Forest County Potawatamie keychain. Look, I've got Dan O'Donnell's show merch.

(01:53:25):
Can I put in one of my coffee mugs? We're
putting in chotchkes from the tribes. Okay, as though we're
called the Badger State, nothing on mining the dairy State.
It's unreal once again. Once again, all that does is

(01:53:48):
serve to prove liberals cannot be put in charge of anything.
We'll be right back in just a second, Conservative thought, not.

Speaker 6 (01:54:00):
Just talk to the Dean o'donald show.

Speaker 1 (01:54:07):
This is about a minute to go. Yeah, that is
one hundred percent accurate for those texting and emailing. No,
we're not just sending a Harley motorcycle and a fiberglass
dairy cow as the big attractions for the Wisconsin pavilion
at the Great American State Fair. Yes we are. Why

(01:54:29):
because Ebers's administration wants nothing to do with the Great
American State Fair. And I suspect that you're going to
see similarly pathetic displays from other Democrat run states because
they cannot get past their hatred of Donald Trump, because

(01:54:50):
it's Trump's organization. It's not about America. It's it's not
about love and support for this country and wanting to
show off the state to a true international audience. That
takes a back seat to wanting to show up the
president of the United States. All right, we are out

(01:55:11):
of time for this edition of the Dan O'Donnell Show.
Have No fear, though we take about a twenty one
hour break, and we are back three h six tomorrow
to do it all again.
