Speaker 2 (01:14):
Top Stories. We are following right now, the TV USA
hockey team is.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
In fact back on American soil after winning the goal.
They did have to land in Miami because of the
massive nor'easter up north, dumping much of the Northeast with
two inches of snow. Now they are scheduled to attend
tomorrow night's State of the Union address as guests of
President Trump. Much more on all of that coming off

(01:41):
being just a second. That nor'easter has dump more than
twenty inches of snow on New York City, prompting the
city's first blizzard warning in nearly a decade. Schools closed,
flights heavily disrupted. Power outages are widespread. The President today
participating in the Angel family's remembrance ceremony at the House,
honoring victims of crime committed by illegal aliens and proclaiming

(02:05):
support for affected fans.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
We're willing to.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Tell the story and that I don't know why the
news doesn't want to hear it. The Democrats don't want
to hear it. The radical left, they don't want to
hear it. What's not to hear We want to stop
murders and criminals from coming into our country. I what's
the mayor of Minneapolis. I watch these people saying we
want to protect murders. I don't get something sick. They're sick.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
All the details on what was a very emotional day
at the White House today coming up in the Daily
Trump date at four o'clock. Then at about four fifteen
four to twenty, violence erupting across multiple states in Mexico
following the killing of Jalisco new generation cartel leader El
Menscho in a military operation, prompting US travel warnings for

(02:52):
citizens to shelter in place and avoid affected areas. The
unrest includes roadblocks and scattered attacks. It's disrupted to raising
fears of broader cartel retaliation near this southern border. Now
this comes as the FBI is investigating again today after
an armed man from North Carolina was fatally shot by
Secret Service agents and local police officers after he breached

(03:16):
a secure perimeter at Mar al Lago down in Florida
with a shotgun. Now, neither President Trump nor the First
Lady was there at the time, no one was harmed.
The stunning frequency of left wing attacks on the president,
attempted attacks on him and other conservative political figures, and
what it means moving forward that is coming up in
the five o'clock hour, but right now we are all

(03:38):
about Team US.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Excuse puts a Lama car good, I'm state with numbers.
Bacacasha comes checks wins the Golden golf for the United
States for the first time since the nineteen eighty Barra
call in the United States.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Kenny Albert on the call for NBC's Olympics coverage. It
was the perfect end to his spectacular winner Olympics for
Team USA, the women's hockey team also beating Canada for gold.
Also in overtime. You also had Jordan Stoltz, the pride
of Keyoscomb and all of Wisconsin, winning two golds and

(04:21):
one silver in his first Olympic Games. You had just
a fantastic, fantastic performance one for the ages from Alyssa Lu,
whose father was a Chinese dissident and actually had to
get security for himself and his daughter at the twenty
twenty two Olympics in Beijing because of how upset the

(04:42):
Chinese government was that she wouldn't skate for Team China
like a certain snowboarder who shall remain nameless. But it
was Team USA's hockey program. The men's team especially that
captured the nation's hearts because of just the unbridled in
enthusiastic patriotism, especially coming from the young man who scored

(05:05):
the World Cup or excuse me, the Olympic gold medal
winning goal. Jack Hughes, immediately after scoring that goal, gave
a postgame interview for the Ages.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
That's about our country right now. I love the USA,
I love my teammates.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
That's unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
The US or hockey brotherhood. It's so strong and we
have so much support next players, and I'm so proud
to be Americans today.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
It is pro This was such an incredible game to
grind out.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
I mean you're bleeding right through it just looking at
you right now.

Speaker 8 (05:38):
Can you just talk about how difficult this gold medal
was to win.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Unbelievable game by Hellibuck, He was our best player tonight
by mile. Unbelievable game, unreal game by our team. That's
just a ballsy, gutsy win. That's American hockey right there.
That's a great Canadian team. But were USA.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
We're so proud to be Americans today. Was all for
the country. What does this metal mean to USA hockey?

Speaker 6 (06:02):
It's everything. Like I said, the USA Hockey brotherhood means
so much.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Look at these guys. We're such a team. Depend they
for two weeks. We're such a team.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
The USA Hockey brotherhood is so strong, and we're so
proud to win for our country.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Now.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Hughes was smiling wide, even though he had just lost
one tooth and broken several others after taking a high
stick to the face, drawing a penalty that ultimately led
to that gold medal winning goal. And this was the
perfect encapsulation of what Team USA has been saying all
Olympics long and start. Contrast to a number of other

(06:37):
American athletes who have been prodded and poked by members
of the American media to talk about how lack of
the lack of pride that they felt because Donald Trump
was president, you actually had Hughes reference how great the
American dental system was in another postgame interview as he

(06:58):
took the podium for press conference and was asked about
his missing team.

Speaker 9 (07:03):
I'm lucky. I'm from the best country in the world,
and we got great dentists there too, So I'm lucky
I'm American and they're going to fix me right up.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Standing there and listen to the anthem, what's going through
your head.

Speaker 9 (07:13):
I'm just so proud. I'm so proud of the American
I'm so proud of this group. I'm so happy that
we could win. You know, with so many people here
supporting us, there's so many people back home supporting us,
and you know, we're just we're so thrilled with how
this whole tournament played out, and you know, just an
unbelievable moment.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
And for one brief, glorious moment, it seems that all
of America was just as proud as Hughes, who, by
the way, plays for the New Jersey Devils. He is
a very very good player, so too is his brother Quinn.
They were one of two pairs of brothers on Team USA,
the kuld Chuck brothers Matthew and Brady could Chook also

(07:55):
expressing when they first got to the Olympics and representing
Team usay how much they love this country and how
much it meant for them to stand up for and
play in the uniform of their country and actually winning
gold forty six years to the day after the miracle
on ice. It's something strangely poetic about that, especially since

(08:17):
while all of America back in nineteen eighty rallied around
the hockey team.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
It took a grand total of oh about twelve.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Hours for leftists to figure out something that they didn't
like about this team. This team that brought the entire
country together, that got the entire country up early on
a Sunday morning to watch a hockey game in bars.
And by the way, I have been spending my hours
watching pretty much nothing but footage of those bars erupting

(08:48):
in celebration as Team USA won the goal. It was
just a fantastic moment. Everyone was swelling with pride in
American hockey until they took a phone call from President Trump,
and Trump joked about the fact that he was going
to be forced to invite Team USA women's hockey as well,

(09:09):
or he would be impeached if he didn't invite them
to go to the State of the Union. They today
have politely declined. Team USA men almost certain to attend,
even though they would have to immediately fly back to
their home cities and start playing for the NHL because
the NHL's Olympic break ends on Wednesday. But I would

(09:31):
be shocked if they were not in attendance at the
State of the Union. That combined with the fact that
FBI Director Cash Patel was invited into the locker room
since he was in intendance watching team USA win the
gold in Milan, he was invited to chug beer and
celebrate with the guys on the team. And the left

(09:52):
is absolutely furious in the nation today. Dave Zerin and
Jules Boykoff right the ugly underbelly of the USA hockey victory.
The Olympic heroes. The real ones were the athletes who
stood up for each other and against Trump. Taking the
gold for utter insanity amongst America's left wing media, The

(10:15):
Huffington Post before the gold medal game tweeted out if
the waiving the American flag or chanting USA turns you
off right now, You're not alone, Monica Torres writing an
article entitled There's a name for the discomfort You're feeling
watching the Olympics right now. While President Donald Trump's deportation

(10:36):
agenda separates families and federal agents, detain five year olds
and kill unarmed civilians, American athletes are winning medals on
behalf of the nation at the Olympics right now. This
whiplash between pride for the United States competitors and national
shame for the federal government is common. Even US Olympians
competing in the twenty twenty six Milan Courtina Games in

(10:58):
Italy feel ambivalent to representing the Stars and Stripes, not
the hockey players. To be clear, the cognitive dissonance of
rooting for US sports while hating the US government is
so common that it continues to be one of the
main topics I hold space for in therapy, said Los

(11:18):
Angeles based licensed clinical social worker Amy Monterrosa. As we
continue to witness national and global atrocities in real time,
it con triggers feelings of guilt, despair, shame, and anger.
Although these feelings are common, you shouldn't ignore them. Cognitive
dissonance isn't just having mixed feelings, said Tunisha Ranger, a

(11:40):
Nevada based clinical psychologist. It's a psychological state that happens
when someone holds two conflicting beliefs or values at the
same time, or they are engaging in behaviors that contradict
their values. Yes, apparently liberals are actually going in and
telling their clinical social workers and psychologysts that they feel

(12:01):
guilty for rooting for Team USA at the Olympics because
they hate the United States government so much. This isn't
actually cognitive dissonance, Ladies and gentlemen, This is well in
line with the average American liberal actually feels about.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
His or her country.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Every year since two thousand, Gallup has done what's known
as the Patriotism Survey. They typically release it, as you
would imagine, right around the fourth of July. Well, this
past year, a record low fifty seven percent of US
adults say they're either extremely proud to be American that's
forty one percent, or very proud an additional seventeen percent

(12:42):
to be an American, down nine percent from last year
and five points below the prior low.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
From twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
What gives are Republicans and Independents suddenly no longer proud
to be American?

Speaker 7 (12:56):
No?

Speaker 1 (12:56):
According to Gallup, Democrats are mostly responsible for the dropping
US pride this year, with thirty six percent saying they
are extremely or very proud, down from sixty two percent
a year ago. This is only the second time democrats
pride has fallen below the majority level, along with a
forty two percent reading in twenty twenty, the last year

(13:18):
of the first Trump administration. Now Compare this with two
thousand and one. Right after nine to eleven, ninety percent
of Republicans are extremely or very proud to be American.
Eighty seven percent of Democrats say the exact same thing.
But in the following quarter century things took a serious turn.

(13:42):
Republicans never once got below eighty four percent of them
saying they are extremely or very proud to be American.
Democrats have not been anywhere near eighty four percent since
twenty thirteen, dipping all the way down to forty two
percent in twenty twenty. The highest since twenty twenty was

(14:03):
sixty two percent in twenty twenty one and also in
twenty twenty four, coinciding with Democrats winning the presidency in
twenty twenty one and then thinking they were going to
win the presidency again in twenty twenty four. Again, the
number of Democrats who said they are very or extremely
proud to be American dipped all the way to thirty

(14:23):
six percent in twenty twenty five. They're only proud when
they're in control, and even then they're not really that
proud to be American. And this finding is actually replicated
across every single recent survey done on American patriotism. Fox
Newspool June of this past year, thirty six percent of

(14:47):
Democrats felt proud of the US today, sixty one percent
did not. For Republicans, eighty five percent are proud of
this country. Following month July Economist you Of survey, just
twenty seven percent of Democrats described themselves as very patriotic.

(15:07):
That's half of the fifty four percent of Republicans who
say they're very patriotic. Same poll also found thirty seven
percent of Democrats had an American flag at home. Sixty
eight percent of Republicans have an American flag.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Now what's driving this?

Speaker 1 (15:25):
It's actually young liberals, most of whom are far more
likely to be socialists than the boomer Libs, who are
incredibly cringe but at least still have some lingering pride
left in this country. A survey known as the Harvard
Youth Poll done this past April from Harvard University, among

(15:45):
young Americans those eighteen to twenty nine, only thirty percent
of young Democrats reported being proud to be American. By contrast,
seventy six percent of young Republicans are proud to be American.
What about those who are embarrassed to be American Democrats

(16:11):
are much more likely. Fifty four percent. More than half
of Democrats aged eighteen to twenty nine say they are
embarrassed to be American. Just twenty four percent say they're
proud folks. When Democrats said they were proud of Team
USA and it just filled them with a sense of patriotism,

(16:34):
that wasn't totally accurate. They were proud for a brief moment,
but then they instantly found a reason. They're going with
toxic masculinity because the Team USA men were laughing along
with President Trump's joke about having to invite Team ussays
women along to the State of the Union with them.

(16:56):
They're misogynists, they're not actually true patriots, and most of them,
in fact, something like eighty two eighty five percent of
them are hardcore Republican. Hockey, in fact, is one of
the most conservative sports this side of golf, NASCAR, and
UFC fighting. It is remarkable how many hockey players are

(17:20):
conservative Republicans. In fact, it is a staggering percent. Greatest
hockey player of all time, Wayne Gretzky, good friends with
Donald Trump and of course supports him politically. In fact,
every hockey player you grew up watching likely the exact
same deal. Democrats can't stand this. They can't stand the
idea of loving their country and being proud of their

(17:43):
country when they're not in control of the direction of
their country. And this is relatively new. When did it
start and what ultimately does it mean. We'll get into
that coming up next when the Dan o'donald Show returns.
You thought you couldn't love Jack Hughes, the young Team

(18:04):
USA hockey player who just a couple of minutes after
losing most of his front teeth in a high sticking penalty,
scored the gold medal winning goal for the United States.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
He actually, while celebrating with his teammates after the gold
medal victory over Canada, actually thanked America's troops for allowing
him and his compatriots to play.

Speaker 10 (18:32):
I mean, it's just so special and one thing, our
troops for allowing us to play this game. Think our
troops for allowing us to play this game, and thank
all the support back home.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
You could actually hear one of his teammates saying after
he said, thanks to the troops for allowing us to
play this game. So true and nodding along they all
to a man believe that does your average Democrat. Is
your average Democrat proud of this country? Was your average
Democrat celebrating with Team USA? Oh, sure it felt nice

(19:09):
to win a hockey game, But ultimately, at a deeper level,
does your average Democrat love this country? Feel pride in
this country? Most certainly not. Just thirty six percent, according
to the Gallop Patriotism Survey, are either extremely proud or

(19:30):
very proud to be American. This survey has been done
every single year since two thousand and every single year
with a couple of little spikes when Democrats win presidential elections,
and even then the spike isn't nearly to the levels
of patriotism seen by political independents or Republicans. Democrats have

(19:50):
been on a significant decline in how much they love
this country. Every other study finds the exact same thing.
June twenty twenty five, Fox Newspool thirty six percent of
Democrats are proud of the US, sixty one percent are not.
Republicans eighty five percent are proud of this country. July

(20:11):
Economist you Gov survey. Just twenty seven percent of Democrats
describe themselves as very patriotic, compared to fifty four percent
of Republicans. April twenty twenty five Harvard Youth Poll, just
thirty percent of young Democrats report being proud to be Americans.
Seventy six percent of young Republicans are Just eight percent

(20:34):
of young Republicans say they're embarrassed to be Americans Democrats, though,
fifty four percent of Democrats aged eighteen to twenty nine
say they are embarrassed to be American, just twenty four
percent say they're proud to be American.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
How did we get here?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Because so many Democrats now want to fundamentally reshape the
United States. Remember President Obama, representing this new generation of
much more socialist leaning Democrats, said we want to rebuild America.
We want change. Well, in order to rebuild America, you

(21:15):
need to believe that there is something fundamental about this
nation that needs to be torn down so that something new,
in your image, with your vision, can be built on
top of its ashes. That ultimately is what democrats want.
Democrats don't like America as currently constituted. They believe that

(21:36):
it's to borrow a popular recent phrase from the Grammys,
built on stolen land. No one is illegal on stolen land.
That America's original sin is committing a genocide against native peoples,
stealing their land and then enslaving hundreds of thousands, if

(21:58):
not millions, of Africa and slaves. Remember, there was an
entire project, the sixteen nineteen Project, a couple of years ago,
whose central conceit in The New York Times is that
America is not founded in seventeen seventy six on the
values of free market capitalism and Judeo Christian values in

(22:18):
theology and individual liberty. No, no, no, it was actually
founded in sixteen nineteen when the very first slave ships
landed on the New Continent. That ultimately is what they believe,
and what we see in the polling, what we see
in the surveys is when they retake control, they feel
slightly better about America because they feel better about their

(22:42):
ability to reshape it, their ability to undo the wrongs
of those idiot, slack jawed lope yokels who actually believe
in the foolish ideas of free market capitalism which has
failed and it's created wealth, inequality and Jews Deo Christian values. Obviously,

(23:02):
there's no such thing as God, and religion should have
absolutely nothing to do with government whatsoever. They don't like
the idea of America's founders. They were all slaveholders, you'll recall,
and thus their ideas and the nation that they built
is illegitimate, just like they were. You might remember, it

(23:25):
started with tearing down statues of Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee,
but somehow ended up with tearing down statues and removing
statues of people like Thomas Jefferson. Why because he owned slaves,
because he had an illegitimate child with one of his slaves,
Sally Hemmings, which by the way, is almost certainly a
complete lie. It wasn't Jefferson, It was actually very likely

(23:48):
Thomas Jefferson's brother, who had repeated liaisons with slaves. Thomas
would not because of his ideas about aristocracy, nobility, and
class would have absolutely nothing to do with sexual relations
with a slave. I digress, of course, but everything about

(24:10):
the liberal worldview when it comes to America is sort
of built upon this fundamental resentment and this fundamental belief
that the only good thing about the United States of
America is that if they take control of it, well,
then it can be a multicultural, color blind society where

(24:31):
we import all people from across the world. And all
live in harmony because they are in control, and they
redistribute wealth from the rich the people who don't deserve it,
because again they must have stolen it. They must have
gotten it through ill gotten means from somebody who deserves
it more than them. They have exploited the working class.

(24:53):
All of their beliefs are fundamentally rooted in the concepts
of Marx and Engels last struggle that perpetually goes on
in free societies, and now it's tinged with racial animas
and the idea that if you are white, if you
are heterosexual, if you are Christian, then you must necessarily

(25:18):
be an oppressor, you must necessarily be responsible for other
people's misery. Well, what ultimately is Team USA Hockey? It
is straight white Christian men going up against the world
and succeeding. In fact, the picture of Jack Hughes with

(25:39):
his fist raised, with his mouth bloodied, with about four
teeth broken or just missing outright would have been, according
to one very popular tweet today, in a bygone era,
on every single Wheaties box, on every single Trapper keeper,
on a poster in every single kid's bedroom for years,

(26:05):
because back then we actually had Democrats who didn't fall
victim to race based, sexuality based, gender based class struggle
narratives and fundamentally turn off their thinking and adopt socialist beliefs,
whether or not they realize that what the Democratic Party

(26:27):
has ultimately turned to, even though they just elected an
out and out communist in New York City. We had Democrats,
we had Republicans who would disagree on issues, fundamentally disagree
on issues, but all ultimately believed in the same things
about the values that we all shared.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
We all were proud of our country.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
I suspect if you did patriotism surveys going back farther
than the year two thousand, going back to the nineties,
going back to Hell all the way to the nineteen forties,
do you think there would have been a single American
during World War iiur in the post war period who
would have said, No, I'm not all that proud to
be an American. No, I'm actually embarrassed to be an American.

(27:15):
In fact, the very idea that you didn't have pride
in your country was only really mainstreamed with the rise
of Baby Boom liberals, who brought with them the true
radicalism of the late nineteen sixties and early nineteen seventies
that brought out the Black Panther terror movement, the weather
underground political assassinations, that sort of thing, basically kind of

(27:39):
a precursor to what we're seeing today. That was really
the first time that you had big groups of people
who were saying, no, we really don't care for this
country all that much. They used Vietnam as the pretext
and American imperialism, but what they were really infatuated with
was the idea that the Soviet Union would win the

(28:00):
Cold War and America would actually be subjugated and forced
to live by more virtuous means i e. The socialist
communism behind the Iron Curtain. That didn't work out, but
the ideas that grew with these young boomer socialists as
they began to take over institutions, particularly the media, college campuses,

(28:25):
and the like, positions of influence, positions of power. We
are on now generation number three that has been educated
by these people, and my generation, the millennial generation, and
the generation coming up behind me, Generation Z, have really
internalized this. And you see this reflected in the Harvard

(28:45):
Youth Survey where just eight percent of young Republicans say
they're embarrassed to be American, but fifty four percent of
young Democrats say they are. That is entirely due to
a lifetime of Marxist indoctrination. There is good news, however,
there has been a boomerang effect of this. Just as

(29:08):
my generation grew up raging against the machine, so too
is Generation Z in behind them, Generation Alpha. Especially young
men who are raging against a machine that is rainbow colored,
that views them as the enemy, the machine that they
see education media. Maybe they're liberal millennial or Gen X parents.

(29:35):
They are rebelling, they are chafing, especially young men at
the notion that they are the enemy. And guess what
all of those Team USA hockey players are in that generation.
It is very arguably and very likely, arguably, but very
likely that this is the most conservative generation of young

(29:57):
men that this country has produced in several generations. That
fills me with a lot of hope that there are
a heck of a lot more Jack Hughes than there
are Eileen Goos in this country. You're listening to the
Dan o'donald Show. Stay tuned, we'll be right back after this.
It is why I'm here to try to provide some

(30:20):
logic and understanding and facts to counter liberal narratives like
for example, for example, well, while all of us were,
you know, our hearts were just swelling with pride for
the Team USA Hockey, team liberals were freaking out over

(30:42):
some dude with Tourette's syndrome screaming the N word at
the BAFTA Awards.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
This is like the British Oscars.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
And this was going on our time at about two
o'clock in the afternoon, and almost as soon as Team
usay's gold medal match with over, liberals were.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Off to the next outrage. And it was this guy.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
There is apparently a British film about him, and the
guy who played him, struggling with Turett's won the Best
Actor over the heavy favorite Timothy Chalome for Marty Supreme
or Leo DiCaprio for the left wing terrorist movie That's
absolutely going to win Best Picture at the Oscars in.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
A couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
This guy screamed out the N word, which was admittedly terrible.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
When Michael B.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Jordan, the star of cinneras as well as Delroy Lindo
is also in the movie just a legendary actor, they
were presenting the very first BAFTA award. You can actually
hear him in the crowd.

Speaker 11 (31:41):
And I are delighted to be presenting the first.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Baft of the night for a vital part of movie making.
We're here to.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Celebrate the Tourette's guy yelled out the N word and
then the B word. Turette syndrome, of course, as most
people know, is the disease where people often have no
control over their bodily movements, or in the more famous example,
they just sort of scream out things, often profanities, and

(32:10):
they'll just scream out highly inappropriate things. I think everybody
understands Tourette's syndrome. Well, Democrats have convinced themselves that this
guy is actually a racist and that it's terrible that
he yelled this out, and that Michael B. Jordan and
Delroy Lindo like apparently the BAFTAs said hey, you know,
the host, Alan Cumming came out and said, look, we understand,

(32:32):
we are really sorry people had to hear that, but
we asked for your acceptance and grace of the guy
with Tourette syndrome.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
And of course liberals were all over social media.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
The usual characters Jammel Hill the former ESPN anchor saying, well,
why is it that black people have to understand when
white people are racist? Well, because the guy has a
disease and very likely had absolutely no control over what
was coming out of his mouth.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
So Democrats spent much.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Of the day yesterday instead of celebrating Team USA, they
were finding a reason to hate the USA hockey team,
and that reason was Cash Pattel partying and drinking beer
in the locker room with them, and them acting a
little chummy with Donald Trump and laughing at a joke
that Trump made about having to invite the women's hockey
team two to his State of the Union and now

(33:21):
Team USA. According to the Nation, left wing rag went
from the greatest heroes America had ever seen to the
greatest villains, all in the span of thirty five seconds
on a phone call with Trump. Because, of course, for
left wingers, their feelings about America all center around Trump,
all center around their hatred of him and their hatred

(33:42):
of Republicans, in other words, their hatred of their fellow Americans.
But at the same time they were raging about that,
they were also raging about the N word from the
Turet skuy. They of course, had absolutely nothing to say
about Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. At an event

(34:05):
hosted by Atlanta's mayor, who is black, with a significantly
black audience in attendance, Newsom actually said, Hey, I'm just
like you to the black mayor. I'm stupid and can't read.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
I'm not trying to impress you. I'm not you know,
I'm not trying to impress you. I'm just trying to
impress upon you. I'm like you. I'm no better than you.
You know, I'm a nine to sixty SAT guy, and
you know, and I'm not trying to offend anyone, you know,
trying to act all there. If you got nine forty,

(34:46):
but literally a nine to sixty SAT guy, I cannot
you you've never seen me read a speech. Because I
cannot read a speech. Maybe the wrong business to be.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Matt's probably the wrong business to be in when you
are insanely racist. He's looking a black man straight in
the eye and saying, I'm not trying to impress you.
I'm trying to impress upon you. I'm just like you.
I got a nine to sixty on the AC or
on the SAT. Most of us in Wisconsin took the Act.
This would be like the equivalent of getting a seventeen

(35:21):
on the Act. He's saying, I'm really bad at taking tests.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
I'm dumb. I'm just like you.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
I assume you black mayor of Atlanta must also be dumb,
and hey, I'm just like you.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
I can't read.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Now he's blaming the fact that he has battled dyslexia
for his entire life, and look, I'm sympathetic to that.
I have loved ones in my family who have dyslexia.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
It's very, very.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Difficult to be able to read. Literally, your brain does
not process letters correctly. It's an incredible challenge, and I
think it's great that Governor Newsom was able to overcome that.
He's not talking about his dyslexia. What he is talking
about is, Look, I am just a dumb guy like you.
Don't believe me that this soft bigotry of low expectations

(36:09):
for minorities pervades the left. The governor of the second
most liberal state in the country, New York, Kathy Hokeel,
was at an event over the weekend in which she
literally said black kids in the Bronx are so impoverished
and so dumb. They have no idea what a computer is.

Speaker 12 (36:33):
Young Black kids growing up in the Bronx who don't
even know what the word a computer is. They don't know.
They don't know these things, and I want the world
open up to all of them.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Black kids don't know what a computer is. They don't
know what.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
A computer.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
Is.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
It's about as.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Racist a thing as I have heard in a long time.
But Democrats are perfectly fine with this. Just don't you
dare have a Turette's guy start screaming random profanities. That's
racist saying I'm just like you black people because I'm dumb, saying, hey,
the black people in my state are so dumb that

(37:19):
their kids don't even know what a computer is.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
That's perfectly fine. I guess is dangerous because he's evil.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
A Shockingly, though, neither of those two racist libs are
your unhinged Liberal of the day. It is instead Monica
Torres from the Huffington Post, who writes about how uncomfortable
it is to watch the Olympics and to dare feel
pride in your country because of the Donald Trump. It

(38:01):
is being called the single most ratioed tweet in the
history of Twitter. Now x ratioing meeing more people respond
to the tweet than either retweet it or like it,
meaning that most people disagree with its sentiment. Monica Torres,
your unhinged liberal of the day. When we come back

(38:23):
the Daily Trump Date, we'll check on the markets with
Dave Spono and much much more here on the Dan
o'donnald's Show. It is a moment that I think will
live right up there with the Miracle la Ice. Nothing
can ever come close to that moment. I mean, people
forget just how favored the Soviet Union was in that game,

(38:45):
and these were just American college kids going up against
the very best Russians who have really ever played the game,
and it was set against cold war politics. But to
defeat a vastly superior Canadian squad for the very first
gold medal since nineteen eighty, forty six years to the

(39:06):
day after the Miracle on Ice, that's something that I
know no one who was watching yesterday morning.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Will ever forget.

Speaker 1 (39:14):

(39:57):
listen to podcasts. Time now for our daily look at
Donald Trump's Washington. We call it the Daily Trump Day.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
We're gonna win so much you may even get tired
of winning.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
It is a win for the administration.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
It's also a big win for the United States.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
We have to keep winning. We have to win Moore.
We're gonna win Moore.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
And in fact, for today's Daily Trump Day, we're gonna
do something a little unusual. I'm gonna actually ask producer Andrew,
could you put down the music.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
We'll put it back off.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
But it was it was a very somber and emotional
day at the White House. Today, President Trump hosted an
event for Angel families, loved ones of those killed by
illegal alien criminals.

Speaker 4 (40:42):
We gathered here today for a truly solemn occasion. Throughout
this whole I am joined my heartbroken Americans who have
buss parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and treasured loved ones to
the scorge of illegal immigration let in by the past administration,

(41:08):
Millions and millions of people from jails, Millions and millions
of people from countries that we don't want to know about,
drug dealers, murderers, Eleven eight hundred and eighty eight murderers
were allowed into our country by the Biden administration. These

(41:30):
are the angel families that we love that for decades
our government betrayed and our media totally ignored. And I've
seen it.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
When I first got.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
Involved with the Angel families that had a meeting, was
so sad and they got up and spoken. The media
literally just turned off the cameras. They didn't want to
hear them. It was to most it was my first
limbs as to what was happening. These are sick people
that cover stories like that, or that don't cover them,
which is worse now.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
Yes, yesterday, February twenty second was two years to the
day after Lacln Riley was killed by an illegal immigrant
who was repeatedly freed from custody by Democrats in sanctuary cities.
President Trump declared February twenty second, twenty twenty six, Angel
Famili's Day in Lacoln's memory.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
On February twenty second, two years ago, a brilliant twenty
two year old nursing student named Lacoln Hope Riley went
out for a run on a college campus in Georgia.
Lacoln was viciously attacked, brutally beaten, and murdered by an
illegal alien gang member who the last administration heartlessly released

(42:45):
into our country. No problems, let them in. They let
in everybody. They didn't check anybody. They let in everybody.
Among the first bills I signed into law after taking
office last year was the Lacoln Riley Act. I'm so
proud of it, to ensure illegal alien criminals are rapidly
removed from the United States of America.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
That's okay with the media. That bill has already been.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
Really playing a big role in the life of our country.
Its resulted in over twenty one thousand illegal alien arrest
twenty one thousand.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Now one of the most touching moments in a day
of touching moments of speeches by those who loved people
killed by illegal aliens. One of the most touching moments, though,
was when Alison Phillips, who is Lake and Riley's mother,
spoke and directly addressed the president.

Speaker 7 (43:43):
I think that a lot of people feel like that
President Trump is maybe different than the verson I've gotten
to know. And I just can't thank you enough. You
have said from the beginning, literally the day after this happened,

(44:08):
that you would not forget about Lincoln. You weren't president
at that time, and you have not forgotten.

Speaker 13 (44:19):
You have.

Speaker 7 (44:22):
Fought a fight that most people would not want to
have to fight. Most people wouldn't They would just say
it's just easier not to do this, and President Trump has.
You are doing a thankless job that most people just
wouldn't do. And I just can't thank you enough. There

(44:44):
are just not enough words to say, because if you've
lived the nightmare that we have lived, you understand the
importance of the job that he's doing and securing our
nation and fighting for our families, because could be any family.
This happened to my family, This could be any one
of your families.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
You could just hear the heartbreak in her voice. Meanwhile,
the President is now preparing for tomorrow night's State of
the Union address. He did invite both Team USA men's
and women's hockey teams. The women's team very politely declined,
saying they are sincerely honored by the invitation, but they
cited the quick turnaround from their return trip from Milan

(45:27):
and other academic and athletic commitments that they have already
made in the wake of their gold medal win. It
is very likely, though, that the Team USA men will
be in attendance tomorrow night. An investigation continues into why
a man traveled from North Carolina to mar A Lago
down in Florida, armed and apparently looking to burn President

(45:50):
Trump's home down. According to family sources, the suspect had
become increasingly obsessed.

Speaker 2 (45:56):
With the Epstein files.

Speaker 1 (45:59):
We will have more details coming up in the five
o'clock hour, and we'll discuss the increasing danger of left
wing violence and people being radicalized by what it is
that they are seeing online that is specifically designed to
create what Ben Shapiro calls a permission structure for violence

(46:20):
against President Trump. Members of his Cabinet and other prominent
conservatives like Charlie Kirk that, ladies and gentlemen, is your
daily Trump date now on Friday. One of the most
significant Supreme Court rulings in literally years, as the Court,
in a six' to three decision struck down all Of

(46:40):
President trump's tariffs that were issued under The Emergency Tariff
act I, epa The Emergency Protection act from nineteen seventy. Seven,
now this was not all, Tariffs this was about sixty,
percent give or. Take President, trump though psying other legal

(47:01):
authority in, statute actually imposed a ten percent tariff on
the entire. World he then update he up that to fifteen.
Percent what exactly does that mean moving? FORWARD a whole
lot of uncertainty joining us now to talk about it
and help you know the difference between financial. Advisors our

(47:21):
good Friend Dave, spano THE ceo Of Annex Wealth. Management, So,
dave where exactly do we stand right now on these?

Speaker 2 (47:30):
Tariffs, yeah it's it's going to be.

Speaker 13 (47:33):
Interesting you laid it out. WELL aipa was this emergency
act for the president to allow these tariffs to go. Through,
however there is this balance of payments section section one
twenty two in the code that will allow the president
to continue these tariffs even though they're going from one

(47:56):
number to the next ten to fifteen, percent for the
next five, months one hundred and fifty. Days and then
once that is, done there is another section after THAT
dan which is sections two thirty two and three oh.
One three oh one is this unfair trading practices that
will allow them to go past that if he gets congressional.

(48:17):
Approval so it's likely that we'll continue to see tariffs
along the. Way there's you, know there's a number of moving, parts,
however and one of them is where where are we
with the contracts that have been signed. Already, so for,
example If europe has a better deal already than the fifteen,
percent do they live with that deal they both sides

(48:39):
have signed.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
It that's number.

Speaker 13 (48:40):
One what, happens for, example With canada And mexico and
how that whole contract comes. Together and then the really messy,
part and you Heard Justice kavanaugh talk about, it if
there's to be, refunds how are you going to refund
all of these? Money and so there is a lot
of moving. Parts lots of loyal are going to get
rich over the next number of, months trying to figure this.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
Out, well BECAUSE i had heard that more than one hundred,
companies Cost co among, them have already sued, saying, hey
wait a, second these were unconstitutional tariffs that were. Levied
we essentially ate those. Costs we want to recoup our. Money,
well how much of those costs do they actually pass
along to their? Customers so are these companies is there

(49:24):
a little bit of opportunism, here BECAUSE i, mean we're
still seeing very good profit. Margins we saw massive increases
in consumer, spending so clearly the teriffs didn't really have
much of an impact and people still were paying more,
money although we didn't see massive spikes in year over

(49:45):
year consumer price or producer price index. Readings so you're, Right,
dave this is going to be incredibly. MESSY i just
don't see how you're going to have any actionable claims
by these businesses saying, that, well the teriffs were declared,
unconstitutional so we want to be getting some back pay from. This,

(50:06):
well they were legal when the president authorized. Them now
that The Supreme court has, said, hi wait a, second
way to, Second wait a, second those are. Unconstitutional moving,
forward there can't be any tariffs under A, epa but
the ones that were issued while this was being, LITIGATED
i just don't see there being an actionable. Claim but,
hey IF i was a, business IF i was cost go,

(50:28):
YEAH i try to recoup some of that money for.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
Sure and so there's lots that were you just.

Speaker 13 (50:33):
Said there's so number, one you think about a class action,
suit you, know you go through, it you, go, YEAH
i want to join that class action. Suit and when
it's said and, done you get a check for fourteen.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Dollars.

Speaker 13 (50:44):
Right so that's so part of that is because of
the legal fees that would be. Involved and so where
does the money? Go does it get refunded?

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Back i'd let you.

Speaker 13 (50:54):
Know if it's going to go, Back i'd like to
see it it returned to either the people that got
charge that. Money maybe it's it's a tax. Refund we don't.
Know but you mentioned. Inflation some of the studies have
showed that it caused a one point four percent one
time spike in. Inflation as we all, know inflation is

(51:14):
the change in. Prices so does that go? Away you,
know is there a? Refund and of course lastly after
that is who's going to get it and how is
it going to be distributed and so there's there's a
lot of complications, there but it's the same complications that
you're going to have when you talked about the, strong
uh the women's hockey, team you just send The Wisconsin

(51:36):
badgers hockey. Team six of those Were Bucky badgers on
That wisconsin. Team so just to just send the team
over there Or Snoop dogg to Represent.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
Yeah, EXACTLY i love. It YOU i trust were watching
the men's hockey finally? Yesterday oh, yeah for.

Speaker 13 (51:50):
SURE i was up. Early it DIDN'T i watched every
second of, it and UNLIKE i wasn't like some of
the people THAT i know who went to the went
to the pub and left it at seven. Am but
it was fantastic. EMOTIONAL i Was i'm old, ENOUGH i
was in high school and the last time they won,
yeah so a long time, ago but it was it
was emotional. Then it was certainly. Emotional now what a,

(52:13):
great great thing for this. Country and you, know by the,
way there was a ton of local. Connections you, know
we all know About Jordan stoltz and everything they did
In Wisconsin, badgers but there was a lot Of wisconsin
connections and there was even a dog that came flying
down the.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Track i'm sure you saw that as. Well, yeah everybody
loved the. Dog was that?

Speaker 1 (52:33):
Skiing that was one of the ski courses where they
started the. Dog the dog's name was Nos, ghoul after
The Ring wraiths and lord of The, rings and that
stole everybody's.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Heart it was just it was kudos.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
To our, People. Dave both you AND i are Of italian.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
Heritage.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
Milanquartina milanquartina really put on an Incredible Winter olympics and
it is a great.

Speaker 2 (52:59):

GAMES i completely forgot already The French Older could it
be in The French? Alps, oh that's gonna be a fun.

Speaker 13 (53:17):
Trip how about A Daniel donald listener trip to for
that one's let's, uh let's get an Organized.

Speaker 1 (53:22):

has got a.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
Mind you listen to him for financial, advice and you
should probably listen to him to book your. Travel i'm
actually gonna get on the horn With cruise in tour
because that sounds like a fantastic idea for twenty twenty.
EIGHT i, mean you talk about something you can't. Replicate
let's try to go to The. OLYMPICS i love. It
you want to know the difference between financial. Advisors work

(53:50):
with someone who's working within for you AS i fee only.
Fiduciary they're not trying to sell you anything except maybe
a trip to The French alps to see the twenty
twenty year two twenty Thirty Winter. Olympics what do you, Think,

the name Of Travis? Brown travis uh was a cyclist
on the, team and you know the everybody was part

(54:28):

cancer out Of texas.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
Who shall remain Named. Armstrong, yeah, No Lance, Armstrong, no.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
No but he's he's persona non grata because of the steroid.

Speaker 2 (54:40):

Speaker 5 (54:41):

travis we love. You so is your brother in Law.
Dave that that is really. COOL i was way too.
YOUNG i was fourteen years old when The olympics were In,
atlanta so at my parents didn't have any interest in
going down, there even though my father had an office

(55:13):
for his business down In, atlanta if memory, serves at the,
time he was, like, oh we don't want to deal
with the, crowds AND i was just, like, yeah, OKAY
i GUESS i want to just hang out with my.
Friends twenty twenty, EIGHT i am for sure GOING i
think twenty twenty six this, Summer i'm going to head
out to The World cup as. Well all, Right Dave
spono annexwealth Dot? Com where you got to? Go WHERE

(55:33):
i don't want to? Go AND i don't think anybody
wants to be right, Now Puerto, vierta my, goodness a
terrifying situation down. There we'll dive into it when The
dan O'Donnell show. Returns if you're following what's going on
In Porto vierta right now and across the state Of,
jalisco you sort of understand Why President trump was so

(55:57):
hell bent on ceiling Off america's southern Border Elmentcho Nemessio Oswegora,
cervantes the leader of The Hollisco New Generation cartel or
cj N, g was killed during A mexican military operation

(56:18):
backed BY us intelligence, yesterday which triggered widespread retaliatory violence
Across Jalisco. State, today there is still shelter in place
order from THE Us embassy and The State. Department Any
american citizen who is still stuck In Porta aerta and

(56:41):
nearby places Like, guadalajara they are urged to simply stay
in their hotel room until road blockades are fully. Cleared
government staff are doing the, Same they're just sheltering in
place in consulates anywhere across the state Of. Jalisco canada
and other countries also issuing similar warnings because flights into

(57:06):
an out Of port Of Ayerta International airport are largely shut.
Down MOST us carriers have canceled or diverted flights due
to crew, availability smoke security. Issues the videos that were
coming out Of port Of ayerta yesterday were. Horrific they
torched a cost co and other buildings were set on.

(57:29):
Fire there was video that coming out Of port Of
Aerta International airport and people running for their lives in
terror as cartel members are just terrorizing. People at least
twenty five members Of Mexico's National guard have been executed
in retaliation for the killing Of elmentcho.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
Ladies and.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Gentlemen is it any wonder that The United states has
a vested interest in keeping people Like elmencho's goons and
the drugs that they traffic out of The United? States
and if that means not allowing people in who we cannot,
vet who we do, not we have no idea who

(58:16):
people are who just.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Kind of come into this.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
Country for four, years The biden administration was not just
letting people. In but as we now know in new
data that was revealed and reported, on of course By
Fox news who, else we now know that The biden
administration was doubling the number Of Social security numbers that

(58:40):
were granted to illegal aliens phony asylum, seekers topping out
at two million Social security numbers granted to illegal aliens
in the final year of The biden administration in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Four that would have kept doubling ladies and.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
Gentlemen Had Kamala harris effectively serve As biden's second term
four million in twenty twenty, five what eight million in
twenty twenty, six the border would have been every bit as,
porous every bit as wide, open and people like cartel
members would have been able to continue enriching themselves by

(59:19):
running coyote operations smuggling human beings across the.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Border this was.

Speaker 1 (59:24):
A significant boon to, cartels just like THIS cjng, cartel
which is responsible for extreme violence across the state Of.
Jalisco but what do we get From democrat leaders here
In wisconsin at the same time people In wisconsin are

(59:46):
stuck In port Of. Irta, Now i'll give one caveat.
Here Governor Tony evers did say the stupid thing that
he's been saying for years now That wisconsin would not
have an economy if we got rid of illegal. Aliens
but this was an interview that was taped with Upfronts
Matt smith On friday before all the violence went down

(01:00:10):
In port Of. Vierta, now Would evers say the exact
same thing today that he said On, Friday sure of
course he, would but he might have at least paid
lip service to all of The. Wisconsinites AND i actually
personally know two of them who are currently stuck In
port Of ayerta because of the drug cartel extreme.

Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Violence but he once again said that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
We need to import people regardless of all of the obvious,
risks that we just enable the cartel to get, rich
or not just smuggling human, beings but also smuggling drugs
across the. Border that was big business for the. Cartel in,
fact they would actually send huge masses of people across the,
border knowing full well that they would then present themselves for.

(01:00:57):
Asylum they would just, say, hey we're, here we declare
that were. Refugees we want asylum. Status they would just
present themselves to border. Patrol, well when the border patrol
was busy processing these tens of thousands of people that
were coming in every single, day the drug cartels would
simply have drug mules walk right across the unguarded border

(01:01:21):
while border patrol agents were busy processing all these phony asylum,
seekers and they would get all manner of, cocaine of,
methamphetamines of, heroin of fetanol across THE us border and
into The United. States no real. Surprise we saw massive
spikes in drug overdose deaths in twenty twenty one straight

(01:01:43):
through to twenty twenty. Five now we were, told, well
it's people are they were bored because of the pandemic
and they were all of a sudden getting into. Drugs,
no it was because you had way more drugs flowing
across the. Border when people do more, drugs they are
more likely to. Overdose so amidst all of, this you
once again have our idiot governor, saying, well we need

(01:02:07):
more illegals in this state because we need them to
do all the menial tasks That wisconsin.

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Heights.

Speaker 14 (01:02:14):
One IF i had a, chance AND i knew, it
AND i knew it would happen an, Impact i'd tell
them to The telly share In wisconsin. Alone they're the
ones that milcark, cows are the ones that work in our.
Factories if they go after those, folks our economy will implode.

(01:02:37):
Overnight he should know.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
That notice that he doesn't say our, doctors our business,
owners our, entrepreneurs our attorneys are titans of. Industry no
our menial. Laborers this is the same sort of casual
racism that you got From Gavin, Newsom california's, governor who
tells the black mayor Of atlanta and a primarily black, Audience,

(01:03:04):
Hey i'm just as stupid as you people. ARE i
got a nine to sixty on MY. SAT i don't
even read speeches BECAUSE i can't, read just like.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
You, right you're, Black you're dumb and can't. Read.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Right it's one of the most racist Things i've ever.
Heard it's just as racist to, say, yeah you, know
all of those brown, people they're not good, at you,
know doing brainy, stuff but we need them to work
in our. Factories we need them to milk our. Coup
it would be one thing if it was Just Governor

(01:03:38):
evers saying.

Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
It we made a.

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
Montage it's pretty much Every democrat SAYING.

Speaker 8 (01:03:43):
I wish if people when they hear.

Speaker 13 (01:03:46):
IMMIGRATION i think a lot of people the first thing
you think of is the. Border the first thing we
should think of is.

Speaker 15 (01:03:50):
Workforce hmmigrants pink the food we eat rebuild our communities
after climate, disasters help construct our, infrastructure power our small business,
economy clean our, homes and look after the most precious
in our, families our, children and our. ELDERS i do
not eat.

Speaker 7 (01:04:06):
Without you do not have houses without immigrant, labor that's.
Right you do not have highways or bridges without immigrant.

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
Labor that's.

Speaker 11 (01:04:14):
Right our vegetables would rot in the ground if it,
weren't if they weren't being picked by many, immigrants many illegal.
Immigrants if you turn them, away if all of them
were turned, away and you have no, immigration then we
would have no food on our.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Plates we would.

Speaker 11 (01:04:31):
Have nobody taken care of the, building the construction of our.

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
Homes we would have nobody cleaning up in the. Hospitals
why DO i Think democrats were making that exact same,
argument AND i mean exact same argument After lincoln got
elected in eighteen. Sixty you're listening to The dan o'donald.

(01:04:58):
Show conservative, thought not just tak.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
Coming up a golf.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
Course artist travels From North carolina to mar Al lago
with a shotgun and a gas, can and we are
told we have no idea whether he was there to
burn down mar A lago or Kill Donald. Trump Fortunately
trump was not at Mar A lago at the. TIME

(01:05:26):
tmz is now reporting that this, suspect who was gunned
down By Secret service as well as local, police was
radicalized and obsessed by The epstein. Files The epstein. Files
G i wonder what he thought Of. Trump, well he
came from A trump supporting family and in the past

(01:05:48):
he had expressed support For trump in the, Past like
what when he was? Fourteen this is what leftists. Do
the guy In, Butler pennsylvania who literally tried to put
a bullet In trump's, skull we were, told welly came
from A republican, family as a Registered. Republican how about, That,

(01:06:09):
well it turns out he became a radicalized. Leftist that
is clearly exactly what happened to this latest would be.
Assassin we'll dive into that in the five o'clock. Hour
big article in The Milwaukee Journal sentinel this, morning jsonline
dot com did your We energies bill go up For?
January here are the reasons why it took two, Reporters

(01:06:33):
Kaylee gleeson And Maya pandy to not write the one
word that actually is the biggest reason that your we
energi's bill went up For. January take a, while guess
what that word. Is i'll give you a. Hint it's a,
name that's, right it Is. Evers after another stretch of extreme,

(01:06:58):
cold these two intrepid, reporters, right you may have opened
up Your january heating bill to an unfortunate. Surprise some
We energy's customers told The Milwaukee journals set in the
last month that their utility costs jumped by hundreds of
thousands of dollars Between november And december after one of
the coldest and snowiest starts to winter In milwaukee in.

(01:07:19):
Years that weather was followed by another frigid blast In,
january including a day where the wind chill plummeted to
minus forty, degrees and some customers are again reporting heating bills.
Surges the cold is largely to, blame but an uptick
in the cost of natural gases also driving up heating
bills this, winter said We energy Spokesperson Brendan, conway who

(01:07:43):
is not telling the whole. Truth there were massive hikes
that in the utility rates approved by The Public Service
commission THE psc as it's. Known it regulates utility as legal,
Monopolies so it would not work if we had multiple

(01:08:05):
energy companies serving different regions or different parts of the.
State so these are one of the few areas in
which the government authorizes one company to operate as a,
monopoly but it is under very strict scrutiny by The
Public Service commission THE. Psc THE psc has to approve

(01:08:26):
every single rate, hike new construction, projects and it even
gets to micromanage the profit margins that these utilities are
able to operate. Under would you believe that there were
one hundred and eight to one hundred and twenty dollars
price hikes approved for residential customers in twenty twenty, six

(01:08:51):
following similar rate hikes in twenty twenty, five part of
broader approvals totaling three hundred four million dollars for electric
and gas customers across multiple utilities In. Wisconsin in, fact
Since Governor evers took office in twenty, nineteen THE psc

(01:09:12):
has greenlit more than two billion dollars in electric and
natural gas. Increases you don't think those price, hikes which
totaled roughly two hundred and forty dollars to three hundred
dollars for a typical residential customer over the past two
years had anything to do anything.

Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
At all with the.

Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
Priceikes now to The Journal sentinels credit in about paragraph,
seventeen you actually get into THE. Psc, however you never
once hear that these Are Tony evers handpicked commissioners and
that they have approved two billion dollars in electric and
natural gas. Increases, Well, dan you're saying this is probably,

(01:09:56):
needed it's probably par for the. Course oh, no, no,
no no. No from twenty twelve to twenty, seventeen after
Former Governor Scott walker's appointees to THE psc gained a
control of the majority of the, commission THE psc approved

(01:10:18):
three hundred million dollars in total rate increases across the utilities.

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
In five.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Years compare that to three hundred four million approved in
one fell swoop over the course of two years Under
walker or excuse, me Under. Evers So ebers's greenlit more
than two billion dollars in electric and natural gas increases
through his Public service, commissioners the hand picked people who

(01:10:49):
serve on that. Commission that is seven times more than
was approved Under Scott walker's Public service. Commissioners not only,
that under The walker, era the public utilities requested more
than one point two billion dollars in rate. Increases those

(01:11:13):
commissioners held the line and, said, no absolutely, Not we're
only going to approve three hundred point one million dollars
roughly a.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Quarter twenty five.

Speaker 1 (01:11:24):
Percent of requests were fulfilled Under Scott WALKER'S. PSC psc
Under evers has approved two point two billion in increases
out of over three point one billion dollars, requested or
about seventy one percent of. Requests now that's through twenty twenty,

(01:11:45):
six right through right Now february twenty twenty, six and
goes back to about twenty twenty one When evers appointees
took the majority control over The Public Service. COMMISSION i
believe he has now appointed all of the members of
The Public Service commission who are currently. Serving they serve
in staggered, terms so you will get a prior administration's

(01:12:06):
picks who serve in the first couple of years of your.
Administration but in twenty twenty, one three years Into governor evers,
term HIS psc commissioners took. Over they have approved seventy
one percent of rate increase requests compared to twenty five
percent of requests during a similar time period Under Scott, Walker,

(01:12:27):
folks elections have, consequences and just like with the four
hundred year veto dramatically spiking property tax, Rates Governor evers
and His Public Service commission are directly responsible for the
dramatic increase in the electric and gas rates that you
have been paying over the past several, years including the

(01:12:50):
massive spike this. Year dan o'donald's, show coming right, Back
welcome back to The dan O'donald. Show what DID i tell,
you folks right at the start of the show That
democrats simply can't help. Themselves they have got to launch
political attacks Against team USA's hockey. Team Both Wisconsin Congressmen

(01:13:12):
Mark pokan and gubernatorial candidate Slash Milwaukee County Executive David
crowley have released videos online doing just that they Can't.
FOLKS i am telling YOU i hate being right all the.
TIME i really. Do but As Rush limbaugh famously, SAID

(01:13:34):
i know these people like the back of my formerly
nicotine stained.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
Hands or is.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
It, no he knows them like every square inch of
my glorious naked. BODY i really hope That congressman Po
can is not listening right. Now just stay, Calm congress,

(01:14:04):
yeah come, on who else could be today's Unsung hero
of the, day even though he's not at all. Unsung
this today's hero is, very, very very. Sung but it's
we're not celebrating him for his on ice heroics in
scoring the gold medal clinching goal in overtime of yesterday's

(01:14:29):
game Against. Canada today we are celebrating our unsung hero
of the, Day Jack, hughes for truly loving his.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Country i'm.

Speaker 9 (01:14:39):
Lucky i'm from the best country in the. World we
got great dentists there, Too So i'm. Lucky I'm american

many people back home supporting, us and you, know we're

Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Moment Jack hughes Your American hero of The. Day All, right, well,
folks this is kind of. Embarrassing put that music. DOWN

Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
Kidding we have got tons to discuss coming up in
the five o'clock. Hour yet another potential would be assassin
at Mar A lago gunned down. Fortune The president And
First lady were not, there not in any. Danger but
what is going on with The american left And wisconsin
libs take the bait of Anti american attacks on Our

(01:16:12):
olympic hero stay, tuned And democrats are already over there
thirty to forty second patriotism binge after that gold medal.
Game now the men's, team well they are villains Because
Cash ptel was invited into their locker room for the
first time. Ever democrats are, saying, Well Cash, pattel on

(01:16:34):
the taxpayer's, dime dared.

Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
To fly To milan to party with the TEAM.

Speaker 1 (01:16:40):
Usa when Have democrats ever cared before about being fiscal,
stewards about being responsible stewards of the fiscal health of the.
Taxpayers this is the first time they have ever cared about, this.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
First time.

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
Ever, Already democrats In wisconsin are posting virtue signaling videos
About President trump making a joke about having to invite
the women's hockey team as well as the men's hockey
team and because the team usay men laughed at that, joke,
well this is the worst thing in the. World we

(01:17:22):
will get To Milwaukee county executive and floundering gubernatorial Candidate
David crowley doing just that in just a. Second, also
you Had Congressman Mark pocan ripping On Cash pattel for
being in the locker. Room, REALLY i think Po can
was probably just jealous That patel was there with a

(01:17:42):
bunch of half dressed. Dudes top story that we are
following right now is the massive, nor'easter unleashing blizzard conditions
across much of the northeastern part of the, country hammering
forty one million people with heavy, snow ferocious, winds power,
outages chaotic travel, disruptions Including New York city's first blizzard

(01:18:06):
warning in nearly ten. Years, Meanwhile President trump hosting The
angel family's remembrance ceremony at The White house today honoring
victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants and pledging unwavering
support for grieving families and those Day.

Speaker 4 (01:18:22):
Lass americans Like laken And grant And, Hovey, Joshua, Rocky, Rachel.
Kayla these are great people and we're.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Never going to forget. Them i'll never forget.

Speaker 4 (01:18:32):
THEM i don't know how Long i'll be around a
lot of people gun informed, me DON'T i, Have BUT
i will not forget.

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
Them i'm never gonna forget.

Speaker 1 (01:18:42):
Them violence exploded today across Multiple mexican states for a
second straight day after a military operation In mexico backed
BY us intelligence Killed jalisco new generation cartel Leader El,
mencho Prompting american officials to you urgent travel warnings FOR
us citizens to shelter in place In portavierta and other

(01:19:06):
vacation hotspots to avoid danger zones. There cartel retaliation disrupts
tourism with, roadblocks, attacks and heightened fears of wider border area.

(01:20:06):
Milwaukee County Executive David crowley just about an hour or
so ago posted quite possibly the single most virtue signaling
politically opportunistic VIDEOS i THINK i have ever. Seen he
is jumping in on the left wing attack du. Jour,
Today President trump and The american men's hockey, team just

(01:20:31):
moments after winning, gold they got a celebratory phone call
From President. Trump they're all gathered Around Cash, betel THE
fbi director's, phone and it's on. Speaker they've all got
beers in their. Hands they're all Chanting, Trump, Trump, Trump look.
Folks just so we're, clear just so we're, clear almost
every one of the young men in that locker room

(01:20:53):
is A trump. Supporter hockey is like a notoriously conservative,
sport so naturally lefties are not going to like.

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
It what is a left wing? Sport? YEAH i, know
they all like soccer for some. Reason do you know?

Speaker 1 (01:21:12):
WHO i get attacked more online By bucks FANS nba
fans in. JAIL i don't get. IT i MEAN i
kind of get, it BUT i don't get. It it is, white, urban,
liberal skinny, bearded BESPECTACLED nba. Fans these are like the

(01:21:34):
most liberal people on Planet. EARTH i have no idea,
why but, yeah it's all Of River West's that's actually probably.
True it is the Entire Milwaukee River west. Neighborhood for whatever,
reason it is Like Bucks twitter is insanely left. Wing
good luck to all of you When yannis demands a

(01:21:56):
trade to The knicks in the off. SEASON i am
going to thoroughly enjoy your, tears even Though i'm going
to be upset, too Because jannis is easily the best
player in franchise, history And i'm a Diehard bucks fan.

Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
Myself sort of hard to have.

Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Shoutenfreud when you yourself are going to be, Sad and, yes,
folks it's almost certainly. Coming jannis is done with this.
Organization he wants to go to a. Contender The bucks are,
proving even though they've won what six of their last seven,
games seven of their last, eight that they are able
to win without. Him but in any, event in any, event,

(01:22:33):
yeah left wing. Sports YEAH, wnba that is the most
left wing league in the entire. World that there is
not a more left wing. League they're more left wing
than The Democrat congressional baseball. Team all, right that's how
left wing these ladies. Are but Because David crowley has

(01:22:57):
literally nothing, else he put out a on his x
account in which he ripped On trump and ripped on
THE us men's hockey. TEAM i, mean you talk about
being politically toned. Down is there a more popular group
of people in The United states right now than the

(01:23:17):
TEAM usa men's hockey?

Speaker 4 (01:23:19):
Team?

Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
Democrats, oh they suck because they were laughing at the.
Women So David crowley puts out a video on x
just a couple of minutes.

Speaker 11 (01:23:28):
Ago during that call with the men's, Team Donald, trump
he didn't just fail to call the women's, team he
made fun of them in front of everyone in that locker.
Room over the phone With Cash, betail he joked that
he'd have to he'd have to invite the women or
he'll get, impeached and then they started. Laughing so not
only were the women not given the same, recognition they
were mocked in the. Process When Tom tiffany stands With

(01:23:50):
Donald trump and supports this type of, behavior that tells
me he's not willing to stand up for the women Of.
Wisconsin AND i want to be very, clear this isn't
just about. Sports this is about leadership and. Respect because
if you can't fully celebrate women representing our country on
the world, stage how can we trust you to protect
the freedom's woman had fought for right here at.

Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
Home all, Right County Executive, crowley let's talk about protecting
and supporting, women shall? We how many women in your
own employ As county executive went without health insurance for
the better part of a month because you were simply
too incompetent to re up the healthcare plan.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
That Milwaukee county was.

Speaker 1 (01:24:32):
On it's a scandal everybody In Milwaukee county, government most
of All County Executive crowley wants everyone to just sort of,
forget but let's talk about cash hotel And Donald.

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
Trump near AS i can, tell.

Speaker 1 (01:24:47):
There was not a three week gap where nobody was
even informed that the women of THE fbi or the
women of The White house didn't have health. Insurance and,
yes maybe the health insurance was to cover the, abortions
it was to cover their whatever else you think women's health,
encompasses because Most democrats when they talk about women's, health

(01:25:08):
all they're actually talking about is. Abortions County Executive, crowley
you are the one who quite literally left women unprotected
in their health. Care they didn't have healthcare for the
better part of three. Weeks oh, yes, yes coverage was
never actually. Interrupted, well we're not entirely certain of, that

(01:25:32):
because The County executive's office has refused to answer even basic,
questions even coming from the Sympathetic Milwaukee County, board the
board which by the, way was never told about any
sort of laps in, coverage which presumably happened On january
first until the final week Of. January if there is

(01:25:52):
anybody in this state who should not be talking about protecting,
women especially the implication being protecting women's, healthcare which is
the euphemism of course That democrats use for. Abortion now
it should Be David, crowley but really It's democrats all
across the. Country And i'm absolutely loving. This, yes Make

(01:26:13):
Cash pattel the. Villain Make team usay men's hockey the
villain for laughing at the women's. Team they weren't laughing
at the women's team per. Se they were laughing at
the fact, that even though everybody knew they were the
Greatest american heroes of the, day they would have to
share the. Spotlight, yes everybody is proud Of team USA's.

(01:26:35):
Women in, fact us here In wisconsin especially proud since
there are what six Seven university Of wisconsin players on
The TEAM Usa women's Hockey. Team wisconsin is a dominant
force in women's college. Hockey we love women's college hockey
here In. Wisconsin the joke wasn't, that oh, YEAH i

(01:26:56):
got to invite the chicks. Too the joke Was i've
got to fight them because they're going to share the
glory with you when everybody knows it's you that we
want to. Celebrate it could have been about the men's
snowboarding team as, Well but, FRANKLY i am loving the
fact that left wingers Like David crowley And The nation,

(01:27:18):
magazine which actually wrote a hit piece on the MEN'S
usa hockey. Program, No i'm dead. Serious this was a
big piece in the liberal Magazine The Nation.

Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
Today it was called The.

Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
Ugly underbelly of THE Us Hockey Victory Dave zerin And Jules.
Boycoff the Real olympic heroes were the athletes who stood
up for each other and Against. Trump because if you're
scene as being too close To trump or any way
supportive Of, trump the left will find a way to
tear you. DOWN i myself am loving every single second

(01:27:53):
of this Because americans who aren't particularly political will see
this and, say, wait.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
What are the pink haired freaks upset?

Speaker 1 (01:28:01):
About Because TEAM usa men were laughing at a, joke
The president of The United states told, well, no what
lefties and, yes pink haired freaks are actually upset about
is that anyone who is beloved by The american people
would quote unquote Platform Donald. Trump as though The president

(01:28:24):
of The United states needs the men's hockey team to platform.
Him he's the most famous man in the world this
side of The. Pope Taylor swift and Maybe Christiano ronaldo
Or Lionel Messi this notion that anyone who dares to
publicly Support trump or publicly express that they Like trump
their enemy number. One this is the fundamental disconnect that

(01:28:50):
left wingers. Have normal people are okay with and have
always been okay, with government officials going to represent The
United states at events like The olympic closing ceremony and
the gold medal hockey. Game and because, hey guess what,

(01:29:11):
again half of the guys in that locker Room GENERATION
z masculine men who play a brutally tough sport and
stand for this, country the, flag and everything good about,
it that they would dare to invite him to celebrate
with them this? Idea oh what was he doing? There

(01:29:31):
on the text? Prayer this is what government officials. Do
we send a delegation of government, officials you absolute morons
to events like The olympic opening ceremonies and the closing.
Ceremonies did anybody say a damn thing WHEN. Jd, vance
The Vice president And Marco, rubio The secretary Of state
were at The olympic opening.

Speaker 2 (01:29:50):
Ceremonies of course they.

Speaker 1 (01:29:51):
Didn't because they didn't think they could politically weaponize. It
because all normal people who are obsessed and consumed by
radical left wing moronic, politics understands that this is just
a normal thing. AGAIN i Know Congressman Mark pocanne really
wanted to be there with a whole bunch of really young,

(01:30:12):
men but he, couldn't so he posts ANGRY x, videos
that's videos on the social media site. X i don't
know If Congressman pocane is also POSTING x rated videos somewhere.
Else might not totally surprise. Me but the bottom line

(01:30:33):
is that normal people are going to cheer tomorrow night
When President trump introduces.

Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
The men's hockey.

Speaker 1 (01:30:40):
Team normal people are going to celebrate that image Of Jack,
hughes missing, teeth bloodied, face wrapped in The american flag
with his fist held high end celebration because normal people

(01:31:00):
don't care about the stupid politics of. This normal people
just love this, country love rooting for this, country and
don't Like democrats who fundamentally dislike this. Country as we
established in the five o'clock, hour look for any opportunity
whatsoever to tear down The american, presidency to tear Down american,

(01:31:24):
heroes and by, extension to tear Down america. Itself but
that ladies and, gentlemen is your Modern Democrat party conservative,
thought not just. Talk it is The dan O'Donnell. Show
there was very likely another would Be trump assassin arrested
or not. ARRESTED i mean they might have cuffed his

(01:31:47):
corpse after they gunned him. DOWN a guy drove all
the way From North carolina and he broke into a
secure area at Mar, lago armed himself with some long,
gun and he was carrying a gas. Can, now of,
course the mainstream news media they have no idea what

(01:32:08):
he was doing with a rifle and a gas can
at Mar A. Lago after driving all the way From
North carolina to Mar A lago with a gun and
a gas, can can't be sure of a motive. There
what we have learned thanks to tmz dot com is

(01:32:31):
that the deceased suspect who is shot and killed By
Secret service agents and local police officers who were on
the scene almost immediately after being made aware of the
breach of. Security what tmz is reporting is that this
guy was obsessed with The epstein. Files, now what do

(01:32:53):
you think is going to happen to people who rather
obviously have a screw loose when you tell them That
Donald trump is involved in an international pedophile, ring and
That trump has very likely raped multiple.

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
Children what do you think is going to? Happen that
it's kind of the.

Speaker 1 (01:33:17):
Point, this of, course is just the latest example in
a very long string of left wing attempted assassinations and
one successful one On september tenth of twenty twenty, five
where someone who is motivated by the hate supposedly Of

(01:33:38):
Charlie kirk shot and killed him In. Utah january twenty,
seventh twenty twenty, five guy armed with a knife And
molotov cocktails turned himself in at THE Us capitol saying
that he was going to try to kill the newly
Confirmed Treasury Secretary Scott. Bessett Ryan Michael, english who now

(01:34:04):
identifies As Riley, english a transgender, person actually cited Anti
trump opposition to conservative figures and. Institutions he was also
going to potentially Target War Secretary Pete, Hegseith Health Speaker Mike,
johnson and then burned down The Heritage. Foundation but either

(01:34:26):
read something at the library or went on readit About
Treasury Secretary Scott peasant just getting confirmed and decides he's
going to try to Kill. Bessen how about the assassination
Of United HEALTHCARE Ceo Brian thompson just about a month
before the attempted assassination Of Scott.

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
Bessant that was by.

Speaker 1 (01:34:47):
A left wing socialist communist radical by the name Of Luigi,
mangioni a popular gift At christmas time a week or
so after the assassination In New York city amongst Leftist
luigi From Super Mario Brothers hats And. Gloves this guy
is now seen as something of a cult hero on

(01:35:10):
the political.

Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
Left well it's not just.

Speaker 1 (01:35:13):
That how About april sixteenth of last year an arson
attack on The governor's, mansion the home Of Pennsylvania's Josh,
shapiro who, yes is A, democrat but the radical left
Pro palestine Activist Cody balmer was charged with attempted homicide and.
Arson there, was of, course the attack On july fourth

(01:35:36):
by radical Anti ice antifa thugs THAT Ice detention facility In, Dallas.
Texas the assailants fired at, officers injured. One this was
part of broader ANTI ice. Activism not only, That let's
go all the way back to twenty, eighteen when a

(01:35:58):
guy by the name Of Nicholas ROSTROM i believe his
last name was went all the way From california To,
washington D c's suburbs In maryland to the neighborhood Of
Supreme Court Justice Sprett, cavanagh and had a rare moment

(01:36:19):
of lucidity actually called and, Said, Hey i'm here to Assassinate.
Cavanaugh that was not twenty. Eighteen that was twenty twenty.
Two excuse me twenty. Eighteen twenty seventeen was the worst
potential assassination In american. History The congressional baseball, shooting which
was also committed by a radical, leftist a campaign volunteer

(01:36:41):
for The Bernie sanders twenty sixteen presidential, campaign badly Injuring Steve,
scalise the Now house majority, whip and injuring Another Capitol police.
Officer and had The Capitol police not shot back and
killed this, guy it would have easily been the worst

(01:37:01):
mass political assassination In american. History the guy stopped at
a library across the street and asked whether the baseball
team that was practicing on the field Were republicans And.
Democrats he was told that was The republican. Team he
then opened. Fire twenty twenty. Two that was the attack
On Supreme Court justice because of the attacker being upset

(01:37:25):
over the fact that The roe. V wade decision dobbs
The Jackson women's health over Turning roe. V wade was
leaked in an attempt to do exactly what happened To,
kavadah to put pressure to intimidate the justices into changing
their minds on that draft opinion and not actually publishing

(01:37:48):
it as the official opinion of the.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
Court wouldn't you know?

Speaker 1 (01:37:51):
It that would be assassin was also he also changed his,
gender also identifying as, trance and that brings up to
now not, one not, two but three different attempted assassinations
Of Donald. Trump the most, notorious of, Course july, thirteenth

(01:38:14):
twenty twenty, four just before the start of The Republican
National Convention, Butler, pennsylvania When trump was actually shot in the.
Ear no one In Joe BIDEN'S fbi would confirm that
were radical leftist motivations behind. This it was Actually Tucker
carlson roughly a year later who actually reported VIA fbi

(01:38:38):
sources Using federal investigative files that, yes this guy was
extremely radicalized by Anti, trump pro left wing. Sentiments even
though he was identified by the media as a Registered.
Republican he most certainly was. Not he was a radical.
Leftist just a couple of weeks after, that at one

(01:38:59):
Of President Cident trump's golf courses In, florida there was
a guy who was hiding in the bushes with a
rifle and he was apparently in possession of a letter
Criticizing trump as unfit for, office urging others to quote
finish the. Job and now you've got a guy who

(01:39:20):
apparently was radicalized by The epstein, files and months and
months and months Of democrats saying That Donald trump is a,
pedophile or at the very least is trying to cover
for his pedophile. Buddies what do you think this is
going to? Do we are in a very dangerous spot

(01:39:41):
In american politics right. Now you had arguably the most
influential conservative Online Charlie, kirk the head of one of
the most influential conservative organizations of all, Time Turning POINT,
usa shot, in killed in cold blood in broad days
light on social, media in front of the entire. Country

(01:40:05):
and this sort of stuff keeps happening Because democrats and
their allies in the media keep talking About Donald trump
And republicans in apocalyptic. Terms they're a threat to, democracy They're,
Nazis they're Using gestapo like. Tactics what do you think

(01:40:26):
is going to? Happen people who are deeply disturbed and
mentally imbalanced are going to.

Speaker 2 (01:40:34):
Act they are going to live.

Speaker 1 (01:40:37):
Out their violent, fantasies and they are going to consider
themselves to be heroes for taking out the ultimate. Villains
speaking of heroes and, villains A tv show that you
need to watch that speaks something a little bit deeper
about the need for male role models and welcome back to.
It pretty incredible day of tear yesterday and the O'Donnell.

(01:41:02):
Household of, course like most we were watching the gold medal.
Game we were actually up really late On saturday. Night
fantastic event at The Milwaukee County Museum food And. Froth
it's basically like a beer tasting and food tasting at
craft brewers from across The. Midwest we had our good

(01:41:23):
friends At Eagle Park, brewery very close family. Friends we
love the boys over At Eagle. PARK i don't know
if this is a good thing in the craft brewing,
community But i'll call them the official craft brewer of
the O'Donnell. Show they don't pay me or. ANYTHING i
just they're one of the their chief. Brewer jack was

(01:41:47):
one of my one of my younger brothers best friends
in grade. School the family lived kitty corner to us
before we, moved before we built our, house or we're big,
fans but so we were. UP i actually didn't wake.
Up we were up much past my normal bedtime of.

Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
Ten. Pm, WEEKENDS i might push it to ten.

Speaker 1 (01:42:09):
Thirty and that was actually the first TIME i had
drank alcohol Since New Year's. EVE i always do Dry,
january and USUALLY i extend it by quite a. BIT
i call it Dry. Danuary i'm right back To i'm
right back on the. WAGON i Guess i'm not drinking
probably Until Saint Patrick's, day IF i had to. Guess
but in any, EVENT i woke up in time for

(01:42:32):
the start of the third, period watched all of, that and.

Speaker 2 (01:42:37):
Overtime obviously is absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:42:39):
Incredible last, night my wife AND i watched the finale
of the Latest game Of thrones. Show it's called A
night of The Seven kingdoms and just the Title game Of.
THRONES i know a lot of people are turned. Off
the last season of that show absolutely, sucked and for
a lot of people it was a whole lot of gratuitous,

(01:43:01):
nuidity a whole lot of gratuitous. VIOLENCE A night of
The Seven kingdoms might actually it's first of, all it
was an absolute. Phenomenon it was incredibly, POPULAR i, think
averaging something like thirteen million, viewers which is an incredible
feat for premium cable and premium. Streaming so you, know

(01:43:24):
people don't get to watch this essentially for free with
their basic cable. Packages you have to GET hbo or
you have to subscribe TO Hbo max in order to
watch the. Show so it's a massive. Hit it's a huge,
success AND i dare say it is the most unapologetic,

(01:43:46):
traditionally AND i hesitate to put politics into this because
it's not. POLITICAL i guess you could call it conservative.
Coded it is all about a big doofy knight by
the name Of Sir dunk Or Sir duncan The tall

(01:44:07):
and is unlikely friendship with a little squire by the
name Of. Egg this comes from the novellas By GEORGE. R. R,
martin the author OF A song Of ice And, fire
the book series that gave birth The game Of, thrones
Called tales Of dunk And Egg. Folks it is all

(01:44:27):
about the relationship between male role models and the young
men or boys that look up to them in one
very powerful. Movement AND i don't Want i'm not going
to spoil anything BECAUSE i think everybody should watch this. Show,
yes there is one scene where you see a little

(01:44:53):
bit too much of an old knight by the name
Of Sir arlen Of Penny tree And Sir arlin Of
penny tr in one very poignant. Scene he dies in
the very first, episode just of old, age And dunk
is left on his own and he's sitting around a
campfire in one of the earlier, episodes and he's talking

(01:45:14):
About Sir arlin teaching him essentially how to be a.
Man and he's talking to Young, egg who's a boy
of about nine or ten who looks up To dunk
and wants to squire for him, desperately and he's talking
all about chivalry and virtue and honor and even being

(01:45:36):
an imperfect role. Model just by being there and teaching
the right, thing you can do incredible good for a
young man or boy in your.

Speaker 2 (01:45:46):
Life.

Speaker 3 (01:45:46):
Sir it wasn't gifted with soil or. Lands he drank
and he. Hoard it was a hard month to known
no friends. Either he lived high on sixty. Years everyone
was a. Champion what chance DO i? Have? Truly but

(01:46:12):
he was good to. Me wasn't his, family but he
kept me like we. Were he raised me to be
an honorable. Man and all these noble lords can't even

(01:46:39):
remember his. Name his name Was Sir ireland of Penny,
tree AND i am his.

Speaker 1 (01:46:48):
Legacy he's talking about The, Knight Sir arlend of Penny,
tree being essentially his adoptive.

Speaker 2 (01:46:55):
Father he wasn't, perfect as he.

Speaker 1 (01:46:57):
Said he drank any, hard he didn't have a lot of,
friends he wasn't a particularly good. Night he won no,
tournaments he didn't win a whole lot of, glory and,
nobody the great lords of the realm have no idea
who he. Is he didn't have anything great to his.
Name but because he was good To Sir, duncan The,

(01:47:19):
Tall Sir duncan The tall can now be good To.
Egg it's a story all about. Fatherhood it's a story
all about what it means to just be present and
to teach values to young. Men and WHAT i will
say last night's, episode the season, Finale i'm not going

(01:47:40):
to spoil. ANYTHING i am not going to give away
anything that happens during the course of the show's first
season it's six, episodes but is a poignant commentary on
how important it is to have positive male role, models
and that if you raise young men with the right role.

(01:48:03):
Models maybe it's a, father maybe it's a, Stepfather maybe
it's an older, brother maybe it's a.

Speaker 2 (01:48:07):
Friend maybe it's.

Speaker 1 (01:48:08):
Somebody who shows a, boy shows a young man how
to be a, man how to be, chivalrous how to be,
noble how to have. Values if you have, that they
turned into a. Man if, not they can turn into a.
Monster the show is all about presenting chivalric, virtues virtues

(01:48:34):
that all of us in this, country all of us
in The western world basically just held as sacro Sanct
it presents them as, Noble it presents them as worth fighting.
For it doesn't laugh at. Them, Sure dunk is mocked
for being naive and for just not really knowing how
to be a, knight but ultimately his fundamental goodness is

(01:48:58):
not presented sickly or as somehow inherently, bad but as
inherently very very, good and something that everybody in the,
show and by, extension everybody watching the show should aspire
to the fact That i'm even talking about that should
tell you how rare that is in an era where

(01:49:23):
virtue is perceived as actually a vice for standing up
for what's, right what's, good what's, noble what's, pure what's
clean is seen as just naive and, idiotic and where
virtue and where morality is presented in relativistic, terms that

(01:49:46):
there is no, good there is no, Evil there is
only what is good or evil in the, moment and
there is only.

Speaker 2 (01:49:54):
POWER i, mean it's not how it.

Speaker 1 (01:49:56):
Works there is fundamental good and and the ultimate fundamental
good that this show presents his, family especially the bond
between fathers adoptive or, not older brothers adoptive or, not
relatives by blood or. Not it's fundamentally about people showing

(01:50:22):
people the way, forward especially, men showing boys and young
men how to be, men how to, succeed and how
ultimately to give the only legacy that, matters the legacy
of being present in a child's life and keeping that
circle of life. Going you're listening to the dan O'donald

(01:50:44):
sean tell you watch. It it's called A night of
The Seven. Kingdoms so this song has literally been stuck
in my head for probably the last. Month it Is
alexander The great by THE edm classical Group. Bond who
else so does our theme song here on The dan O'Donnell,
show which is Called. Explosive it is the remix To

(01:51:05):
explosive that serves as our theme. SONG i JUST i
find myself humming this and whistling this just, constantly and
now it's gonna be stuck in my head for probably
the next six. Months the show we were talking about
about virtue and fundamentally about the relationship between fathers and,
sons or rather people who serve in that fatherly, role

(01:51:29):
and just how important said role. Is it's called A
knight of The Seven, kingdoms and, yes you will get
you will get the Old. Knight Sir arlen Of Penny.
Tram just gonna warn you in episode two you do
see his, sword AND i don't mean his literal sword
if you catch my. Drift and in like the very

(01:51:51):
first scene of the, show there is a gross out
scene involving the main, Character.

Speaker 2 (01:51:56):
Sir duncan The.

Speaker 1 (01:51:56):
Tall it is look past this, stuff, Folks i'm telling
you it has the best message of any show that's
been ON. Tv in, years the message That democrats clearly
want ahead of The state of The union, address because
every single one of, them every lib in the world
right now is tweeting about THE usa men's hockey team

(01:52:19):
And President trump And Cash ptel and how dare they
all laugh at the women's hockey. Team as my very
good Friend, brandon in, fact my lifelong, friend a guy
who has been best buddies with me since what second third?
Grade he actually pointed out something incredibly. True he texted and,
said do these idiots not? Understand the joke wasn't, that,

(01:52:42):
oh we got to invite the. Women the joke was
the woke lefties are going to be all over me
IF i don't invite the women, too because they're a
bunch of, woke idiot. Lefties they were. All levy, Said
i'll probably get impeached IF i don't invite the women.

Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
Too they weren't laughing at the.

Speaker 1 (01:52:58):
Women they were laughing at the lefties for the idea
that they were going to do exactly what the lefties
have spent the past twenty four hours, doing crapping all
over the gold medal winning TEAM usa men's hockey team
because of their association With. Trump, frankly, LEFTIES i love.

(01:53:20):
It let all of the normies for Whom TEAM usa
men's hockey players are heroes right, now see just how
hateful you are if anyone dares to associate with The
president Or republicans or anything that you don't politically. Support
When democrats show you who they, are believe. Them we're

(01:53:43):
back Tomorrow state of The union. Preview we'll Have Congressman
Brian style And Scott fitzgerald on The dan O'Donnell.

Speaker 2 (01:53:49):
Show talk to you then
