Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm Chauncey Wisen, so.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Let's get right into it.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Dan O'Donnell Show. Simply put,
this might be one of the busiest news days here in.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Wisconsin in recent memory.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I in fact cannot remember in my twenty five years
in the broadcast business here in this state, here in
this area, Southeast Wisconsin, a busier day, And it is
almost exactly twenty five years ago to the day that
I started my broadcast career. Today might have been the
biggest Vice President j D Vance in Milwaukee talking about

(00:59):
voter role data and snap data that Governor Rivers refuses
to turn over. He was there to give an update
on anti fraud efforts. Doctor Oz also at that appearance
at the one twenty eighth air refueling Wing. We also
had Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and his gubernatorial bid.
Former Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan gets a slap on

(01:21):
the wrist after her conviction on obstructing a federal investigation
charges and some very sad news to pass along. Waukeshaw
County Executive Paul Farrow, the former chairman of the Republican
state Party, as well as a state senator and state assemblyman,
passed away yesterday after a battle with cancer. He was

(01:44):
a very good man and I was so proud to
call him a friend. We will get to all of
those stories. Plus, Milwaukee Mayor Chevy Johnson actually surprises the socialists.
He is not in favor of tearing down a massive
I set a ninety four straight through the heart of
downtown to build I don't know a massive commune. The

(02:07):
Libs in Milwaukee were dreaming of walkable streets and maybe
another couple of miles of trolley track, but it is
apparently not to be.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
We will dive into that.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
In the five o'clock hour in Turkey for the NATO summit,
President Trump says the ceasefire deal with Iran is dead,
that the bombings of Tehran and other strategic posts in
the country could begin in the next couple of hours.
I have never seen anything like today. We will get

(02:39):
to all of it, ladies and gentlemen, And if you
would like to join us at any point, the Carpetland USA,
flooring set or talk and text line is open as
it always is. Four one, four, seven, nine, nine eleven thirty.
You can email me DoD at iHeartMedia dot com, follow
me on social media at Dan O'Donnells Show across all
platforms x, Facebook, Instagram. We are streaming live on YouTube,

(03:01):
on social media everywhere and anywhere. And if you miss
a single second of what promises to be an incredibly
busy show today, please do listen to us on the
Dan O'Donnell Show at iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts.
It is a very convenient way to listen to the
show very very limited commercial interruptions. You can listen to

(03:23):
me at faster speed so I sound more and more
like a Chipmunk or Ben Shapiro, and it is a
great way to catch up on all of the things
you might have missed, and also also it would be
helping me out because the powers that be do love
their podcast metrics. Out of all the big stories today,

(03:45):
I think the one that has the biggest ramification is
what happened in federal court today at the sentencing hearing
of former Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan. Not just because
what we all expected to happen happened. Federal Judge Lynn Adelman,
one of the most left wing judges on the bench,

(04:08):
and he has been since he was first appointed to
the federal bench by President Chester A.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Arthur.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
That's right, Adelman, at the ripe old age of one
hundred and eighty two, is still refusing to retire. He's
not that old, but I believe he is eighty five,
and he is still holding on and still issuing nonsense
like this. Even though Dugan faced a possible maximum sentence

(04:36):
of five years in federal prison, he didn't even sentence
her to probation. He sentenced her to pay a five
thousand dollars fine, five thousand dollars for so grossly abusing
one of the most powerful positions that we entrust people

(04:59):
with in society, the same position that President Bill Clinton
foolishly entrusted to Lynn Aidelman. And here's the thing, As
my very dear friend Jay Webber tweeted this afternoon, Adelman
denied every single motion to get a new trial or

(05:19):
to overturn Dugan's conviction, knowing full well that he was
just going to let her off the hook anyway. The
idea that well, Dugan has suffered enough, She's never going
to be able to practice law again. Her reputation is ruined.
It's not, and she doesn't need to practice law again.

(05:40):
First of all, she's sixty seven years old and she
can still collect her pension. Milwaukee County taxpayers, you are
still going to be paying Hannah Dugan.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
For the rest of her life. How's that feel?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Not only that, if you think her reputation is destroyed
amongst leftists, you must have missed all of the people
gathered outside the federal courthouse in downtown Milwaukee every single
day rallying in support of her. They think she's a
martyr for the cause of opposing Trump's gestapo like tactics

(06:16):
in rounding up those poor innocent migrants who are just
the huddled masses of your.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yearning to breathe free.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Well, the guy that Hannah Dugan tried desperately to free
certainly was not. He was a violent illegal immigrant who
had already been deported once. He was charged with viciously
beating his roommate and also attacking the roommate's girlfriend during
a dispute. He appears before Hannah Dugan. He's in intake court.

(06:48):
He's waiting for his case to be called. He's got
an interpreter, he's got his attorney, and Dugan. Last April,
she gets worried that there are ICE agents outside. In fact,
it's an entire federal arrest team. There's an FBI agent
and they're in the courthouse hallway. Well, Dugan, as a
good lefty, can't allow a poor, horribly, violent, terrible human

(07:13):
being to be you know, removed from this society. So
we can't victim anybody, victimize anybody else here. So she
actually goes to that arrest team out in the hallway
and sends them away, sends them to the Chief Judge's
office to figure out whether or not they're actually going
to be allowed to take this guy into custody. Well,

(07:35):
that's irrelevant what the Milwaukee County courthouse policies are. Federal
agents absolutely are allowed, even with the.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Dreaded administrative warrant.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Liberals seem to think that because ICE does have the
ability to issue its own warrants, that somehow those warrants
are not valid.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
They most certainly are.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
And Dugan sending those agents away was an effort to
impede their investigation. They had a valid warrant. They showed
her the warrant. She was aware that they were there
to arrest the guy. Who is currently sitting in her courtroom,
and she tried her best to make sure that didn't happen.
That was obstruction of justice, That was her getting in

(08:20):
the way of a federal proceeding. As they were gone,
Dugan doesn't just sit back down and continue to do
intake court. She talks with the attorney, she talks with
the interpreter, and she leads them out through the jury
room to a back elevator where she thought they would
be able to get away before all of those federal

(08:42):
agents got back. Her intent was clear. In fact, witnesses
her own bailiff said yes, she was saying that her intent.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Was to get this guy out so that.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
He wouldn't be deported, that he wouldn't be able to
be taken into custody, so that justice would not infect
act be served, not only at the federal level. And yes,
this guy did commit a crime by illegally entering this country.
He committed a federal felony by re entering this country
after he had been previously deported. Even if he had

(09:16):
convict it committed no other crime, he was still eligible
to be deported. But he did commit another crime, an assault.
Dugan knew there was no chance that he was ever
going to come back to.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Face charges before her.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
So what she was doing was quite literally taking the
law into her own hands and using those hands to
shove this guy through the jury room and into a
back elevator and hopefully out the doors and on his
way to freedom. She knew full well that the position,
the power, the authority that was all entrusted to.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Her was going to be thrown away.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
This is this about the most egregious abuse of that
authority and of that public trust that a judge can
possibly engage in.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Now.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Fortunately, one of the members of that federal arrest team
didn't actually go down to the chief judge's office.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
He stayed put.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
And he watched all of the people get into that
back elevator. He followed him down. He got the rest
of the arrest team to get down to the ground
floor of the courthouse as quickly as possible. Sure enough,
the suspect took off brief Footchaseinen sued. They get him
down on the ground, they get him in cuffs, they
get him deported. The whole reason that federal arrest teams

(10:40):
will go to court to take these people into custody
is because they know they're not armed, because they really
aren't going to be able to run away. Hannah Dugan
endangered those officers and endangered everybody else who just happened
to be on the sidewalk or on the street outside
of the courthouse when that guy took off. He could

(11:04):
have been if he had more time back into his
car to get a side arm, to get a handgun
to whatever, he could have viciously assaulted just with his fists.
One of those offer you know he's a violent guy.
Hannah Dugan made that happen. Do you think when we
talk about public corruption, when we talk about the abuse

(11:26):
of power, we're just talking about stealing from the public's treasure,
using your position to defraud, using your position to unjustly
enrich yourself. This is misconduct in public office at the
highest level because what this does was to steal the
people's right to have justice against a man who didn't

(11:51):
just commit a crime against his roommate and the roommate's girlfriend.
But when you commit a crime in the state of Wisconsin,
you are committing it against the people of Wisconsin. This
is why many states still use the language when they
call cases the people of Wisconsin. We call it the
State of Wisconsin State v. That's a synonym for the people.
It is the people of.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Wisconsin versus well, Hannah Dugan.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
And what Judge Lynn Aidelman did is to just like
Hannah Dugan, say, well, you know what, I know what
the law is, I know what the proper consequences for
the violation of that law should be.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
But I don't agree with it.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
I'm just going to, you know what, impose my own judgment,
impose my own sentiment, impose my own feeling on this case.
That's not just judicial activism. That is actually a form
of judicial tyranny. The people of Wisconsin, through their representatives

(12:57):
in state government, the people of the United States, through
their representatives in federal government, decided on what the laws
should be. The duly elected governor and duly elected president,
and law enforcement officers who serve at the federal and
state levels and at the city level at the behest

(13:19):
of municipal and state and federal executive branches of government
enforce those laws. If the judicial branch, just one person
like a Hanna Dugan, one person like a Lynn Aidelman,
can say, you know what, the will of the people
be damned.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
The will of Hanna Dugan.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
The will of Lynn Aidelman reigns Supreme Now what Aidelman did,
of course, is perfectly legal. He has wide discretion in
what sentenced to hand down could have been five years
in federal prison. I don't think there was anybody alive,
including me, who actually thought one of the most far
left federal judges was ever going to clamp down or

(14:03):
ever going to hold to account a left wing circuit
court judge, because that's not.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
What liberals do.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Liberals always protect liberals when they commit crimes in service
of advancing the cause of liberalism. And that's what Hannah
Dugan did. Hear she thought, well, she was saving this
guy from the unjust enforcement of laws by the Trump administration.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
She does not have the right to do that.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
She has the right as a circuit court judge to
sit in a trial or sit in a hearing and
determine whether or not there is enough evidence to move
forward to trial, to determine the guilt or innocence of
the people before her, not to just kind of take
the law into her own hands and say, Okay, you're
not even going to get a trial. You're just gonna

(14:57):
run to freedom, and you're gonna evade, and you're also
going to invade justice for viciously beating your roommate.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Lynn Aidelman said.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Okay, well, here is what should be an appropriate penalty
for doing that. One year probation, fifteen twenty thousand dollars
in fine. Remember, Hannah Dugan raised something like one hundred
and forty thousand dollars for her legal defense. She's going
to make a ton of money giving speeches. Some leftist organization,

(15:30):
probably a pro illegal immigration law firm or something. They're
going to give her a cushy gig, some NGO, provided
it hasn't been fully defunded with the collapse of usaid
is going to give her a ton of money for
some consultancy work. And she's going to live out the
rest of her days never once regretting what she did.

(15:53):
And I'm reading the accounts of this that she got
choked up when she said, I'm not a criminal, I'm
not a scofflaw. I did what I thought was right,
and liberals are gonna eat that up. But ladies and gentlemen,

(16:14):
we actually broke the story of Hannah Dugan on this
radio show and on social media well before it ever
came out well before she was federally charged. I had
multiple sources who told me exactly what happened down to
the letter. Now, the same Hannah Dugan who is saying,

(16:37):
I'm not a criminal. I did nothing wrong. I you know,
take accountability for my actions, but I just did not
believe my actions were wrong. The same Hannah Dugan who
was weeping apparently in the federal courtroom today. No cameras
in federal court, of course, so we don't have video.
We've got multiple reporters who were there recounting this that she.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Was just so emotional.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
She was not emotional on the day that I first
reported what she did. And in fact, when a Milwaukee
police officer actually came to talk to her about some
supposed threats that she was getting, she lied straight to

(17:23):
that officer's face and said, there's some kooky right wing
radio guy who's spreading rumors about me, that I that
I helped someone escape from custody and that there's a
federal investigation into me. He's lying, But this story is
getting out there and people are believing she just flat

(17:44):
out lied right to this CoP's face, and it was
all on body cam video.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
The other thing that I mentioned the camp in this afternoon,
a talk radio guy started to go on about how
they doesn't investigating me for an incident last week at
the Cornerhouse involving the immigrant and.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Arrest, and it's all lies.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
But she's screwing the pot, okay, and it's.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
You know, Firewright Wing.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
Well, then the.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Radio station up Norris is connected to it.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
They picked it up, and then they did an article,
and now.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
It's supposed to on Facebook. And I've had reporters calling
me all day. A couple taxpayers are mad that I
hid this guy in a jury. I didn't do anything
that they're saying.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
From the beginning, she was lying about this. She was defiant,
she was strident. She feels no guilt. She feels that
she did nothing wrong. She is not contrite, she is
not sorry. She gladly abused her power, and she did
so knowing full well that when she went to trial,

(18:56):
one of her political allies, a fellow traveler of far
left liberalism, was going to just give her a slap
on the wrist, if not throw this case out altogether.
She has to pay five thousand dollars five thousand She
can make that, probably for speaking for about five minutes

(19:19):
at some left wing anti ICE gathering, the Professional Society
of Immigration Attorneys will pay her twenty grand to speak
about her harrowing ordeal standing up to the evil Trump administration.

(19:40):
When we talk about folks that the dangers of far
left radicals who seek to literally transform the rule of
law in this country by virtue of their position within
the legal system, especially as judges, especially at the federal level,
but also as we saw with Dugan at the circuit

(20:00):
court level, this is what we're talking about. This from
start to finish, Dugan's actions to today's sentencing was one
of the greatest travesties of justice that Milwaukee County, the
state of Wisconsin, or yes, the United States of America,
has ever seen. Because a gross abuse of power was

(20:22):
allowed to take place. Dugan gets her pension, she gets
to retire, she gets to make money on the left
wing NGO circuit, she doesn't have to spend a day
in federal prison, and she comes out of this a
hero to the far left.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
You tell me, ladies and gentlemen, do you feel justice
was served?

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Coming up next, David Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive, drops
his bid for governor.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
We dive into that remember one call.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
That's all.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Hugely busy news day today, Hannah Dugan sentenced to It's
not even.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
A slap on the risk. This is like a tap
on the wrist.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Five thousand dollars in fines and oh, by the way, folks,
she is appealing her conviction to the Seventh Circuit Court
of Appeal. She wants that wipe. No chance that that
gets tossed on appeal. Her legal arguments were nonsensical at best,
and at worst they were deeply cynical and revealed that
she really does view what she did as something She

(21:39):
viewed it as heroic. Welcome back to the Dan O'Donnells show.
Big political news statewide for Wisconsin. Milwaukee County Executive David
Crowley has dropped out of the gubernatorial race. Got to
give credit to our good friend JR. Ross over at
wispolitics dot com. He broke that this afternoon, as if

(22:00):
the news day couldn't get bigger, he broke the story Jr.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Did like At the exact moment, JD.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Vance, the Vice President, was taking the stage at the
one twenty eighth Air Refueling Wing in Milwaukee and about
fifteen to twenty minutes after Dugan got sentenced to that
tap on the wrist. Man oh Man, oh Man, was
it a big day. Gotta give credit though to J R.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Ross.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
So Crowley is out and this is the first domino.
I think that is really starting to fall as Democrats
are desperately trying to ensure that socialist Francesca Hong does
not get this nomination. Now there are five candidates remaining
in the race, only three of them have a legitimate

(22:44):
chance at winning. There is now going to be significant
pressure on Joel Brennan, who's pulling at about one percent,
and kel de Roy's also one or two percent to
make like Crowley and Missy Hughes before him, another one
percent in the polls to get out of the race.
Crowley has to be considered the biggest disappointment for the Democrats.

(23:09):
In fact, Democrats establishment Dems who all despise Sarah Rodriguez
because she's just not a particularly likable person. I am
told thought that Crowley would be the guy who would
be able to stop what was presumed to be the
momentum of socialist Mandela Barnes in the race. Remember, Democrats

(23:32):
don't want Barnes to be their candidate either because of
how poorly he performed in the twenty twenty two US
Senate race, losing to Ron Johnson even though the primary
field was cleared for him just a couple of weeks
before the primary, and the fact that it was a
big Democrat year, and the fact that Governor Tony Evers

(23:52):
won a relatively comfortable three point victory over Republican Tim Michaels.
Mandela Barnes wa by a point to Senator Ron Johnson.
Democrats didn't forget that, and as soon as he got
in the race last November, there was a New York
Times article that was written was at the Times or
was it political as one of the two of them

(24:15):
basically telling Mandela, You're not going to get any institutional
support this time because you messed up so badly last time.
It was still assumed that he was going to get
the left wing wacko Madison vote until Francesca Hong came
out of the gate incredibly strong, excelled at retail politics,

(24:39):
and because she openly embraces the left wing radicalism and
open communism now preferred by a substantial number of Democrat
base voters, she was the one who actually seized all
the momentum from Mandela who for the first couple of
months of this campaign seemed to do practically nothing. It

(25:01):
was assumed that Democrats couldn't allow someone like Hong to
get the nomination, and they would try to rig the
primary again.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
They always rig their primaries.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Presidential primaries twenty sixteen, twenty twenty, twenty twenty four, Senate
primary twenty twenty two. Here in Wisconsin, it's just what
they do. They do not give their voters a choice.
They tell their voters who the choice is. It was
assumed that that choice was probably going to be David Crowley,

(25:30):
county executive of by far the biggest county in Wisconsin. Well,
then twenty twenty six happened and Crowley was revealed to
be thoroughly incompetent. At the beginning of the year, a
major scandal royaled the county as the healthcare plan expired,

(25:52):
and nobody from Crowley's administration bothered to tell the county board,
so a whole lot of employees didn't have healthcare coverage.
Did They swear that the coverage never lapsed, But I'm
sorry if you don't actually have coverage for three weeks
your coverage has lapsed. Coming right on the heels of

(26:14):
that was a scathing report about county finances that the
county is essentially going to be on tilt, running a
massive deficit in just a couple of years because of
Crowley's fiscal mismanagement. Even after he got a massive infusion
of cash in the form of shared revenue from the
state and was allowed to jack up the county's sales

(26:36):
tax by half a percent within two years, the budget
problems that Crowley was crowing about being fixed were back,
to say nothing of the fact that the Milwaukee County
transit system the buses, have been a rolling disaster under
Crowley's watch. MCTS was also running a massive deficit until

(27:00):
lo and behold the federal government, Donald Trump stepped in
with a massive grant that is going to save MCTS from,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Know, having to declare bankruptcy.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
In summary, people got a pretty good look at David
Crowley's leadership style and at the worst possible moment for him,
realize that David Crowley is thoroughly incompetent. He is just
a terrible, terrible executive. He does not know what he's doing.

(27:35):
Even after what five six years on the job. He's awful,
and it doesn't help him that the last two county
executives before him were actually incredibly effective, Chris Abley and
Scott Walker. I'll give credit where credit is due. Ably
is a liberal Democrat, but he was a pragmatic liberal Democrat.

(27:58):
And Scott Walker, of course was the best county executive
in the history of Milwaukee County, save, of course, for
my late great uncle, the legendary Bill O'Donnell.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Crowley.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
Though exiting the race is presumed to be good news
for Sarah Rodriguez, who Democrats now have no choice but
to back if they want a normy candidate, a non
socialist who can possibly stop the Franny hawng Express. It's

(28:32):
not going to be automatic, though, that all of Crowley's
voters go to Sarah Rodriguez. In fact, I wouldn't be
surprised that a black man from Milwaukee has a substantial
following of other black voters from Milwaukee, and they would
go to the other black candidate from Milwaukee, Mandela Barnes.

(28:56):
If that happens, then it's probably Barnes and not Hong,
because they've been so close in the poll. Sometimes Hoong
will be up three points, sometimes Mandela will be up five.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
It's always pretty close.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
There is going to be another Marquete University Law School
poll released on July twenty second. That's probably going to
tell a lot. It's also not certain that anybody who
is voting for Joel Brennan and kel de Royce, if
they get out of the race, because they're polling so low,
they've probably got a grand total of maybe five thousand

(29:31):
votes between them statewide. Is that really going to matter?
Is that going to tip anything for Sarah Rodriguez against
the two socialists?

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Probably not.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
Democrats may think that they're going to be safe from
having to nominate Francesca Hong, probably the least likely candidate
to actually win the race in what's shaping up to
be a good Democrat year across the country.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
It may not matter.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
They may not be able to get anybody butt Hong,
and they may have to settle for Mandela Barnes. Although
I think what's abundantly clear is that the majority of
the people who are going to turn out in this primary,
the hardcore leftist Dems from Milwaukee and Madison, they're all
socialists now, they're all communists now, and they're gonna want

(30:22):
the DSA communist Francesca Hank coming up next to a
very sad story to have to get to. Paul Farrah
has passed away.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
That's the next.

Speaker 7 (30:32):
Follow Dan on Facebook, Facebook, dot com, slash Dan o'donald Show,
Dan o'donald will lead at us Talk eleven thirty dot.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
Com, Conservative Thought Just Talk.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
It is the Dan O'Donnell Show. Welcome back to it.
An incredibly busy newsday in Wisconsin. No fewer than five
or six stories which would just dominate headlines for days,
all happening within about an hour or two of one another.
Hanna Dugan, former Milwaukee Cowy Circuit Court judge, gets a

(31:22):
slap on the wrist, No, not even that, a tap
on the wrist from fellow Lib federal judge Lynn Adelman.
Just five thousand dollars for helping an illegal alien criminal,
a violent guy who had been already deported escape Ice agents.
Five thousand dollars fine, no prison time, okay, that was expected,
but no probation as well. That happened as Vice President JD.

(31:47):
Vance was in Milwaukee and just blasted Wisconsin's Governor Tony Evers,
for refusing to share snap benefit and voter role data
with federal fraud investigators. We'll get to that and much
more coming up in the four o'clock hour. President Trump
says the cease fire deal with Iran is officially done.

(32:08):
We could begin bombing the country as early as tonight.
That is a big story internationally as the President wraps
up the two day NATO summit in Turkey. We also
had Milwaukee's Mayor, Cavalier Johnson saying that I seven ninety four,
he does not recommend that it be torn down through

(32:29):
the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Just heard David Crowley, Milwaukee
County executive. He drops out of the race for governor.
And unfortunately, it is my sad duty to report the
passing of one of the nicest men I have ever
met in politics, one of the nicest men I have.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Ever met period.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Milwaukee County Executive Paul Farrow passed away yesterday after a
courageous battle with cancer. He was far too young. He
was in his early sixties, sixty one year years old,
and he was unfortunately moved to hospice a couple of
days ago. Those close to him said he had been

(33:09):
declining for a couple of weeks now until it was
obvious that the end was coming. Paul Farrow was a
giant of conservatism in Wisconsin. He was the son of
Lieutenant Governor Margaret Farrow, the very first female lieutenant governor
in the state's history. But he was more than just

(33:33):
a political scion. He was, in his own right, an
incredibly motivated hard worker who served in the Wisconsin Assembly,
the Wisconsin Senate.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
He was Waukeshaw County Executive.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
He also served a couple of years as president of
the Wisconsin Republican Party. He was at every event he
was all over Waukeshaw County. There would not be a
Fourth of July Parade any without him in it. But
much more than that, he was a good, decent man,

(34:08):
a good father, a good husband, a good friend. I
have never known one person, even on the left, to
say a bad word about him. In an era where
everything is hyper political and the rhetoric is sharper than ever,
Paul seemed to be immune from that because he was

(34:31):
just such a good guy. I can remember a year
or two ago when Waukeshaw County tried to institute a
sales tax. As you could imagine. I was not particularly
pleased about this. I got worried that this was happening
and did my level best to make people aware of

(34:54):
it and get people mad about it. Pharaoh was one
of the ones who was kind of pushing this idea.
He wasn't mad at me. He called up and we
talked about it. He made his case and I made mine.
I said, you know what, that's really not a good idea.
I just am never going to get behind this poll.
And he says, you know what, Dan, I can really

(35:15):
respect that, and thank you for taking my call. I
was worried you were just going to start screaming at me,
and I said, I'll never forget this.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
I said, you know what, I was.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Actually worried too, and he goes on and I'm not
really a screamer, and I'm like, yeah, I know, That's
why I really wasn't scared. He immediately probably two or
three days there was a county board meeting that happened
two or three days later.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
He said, you know what, the people have spoken.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
It was an idea that we had, but I am
going to not try to force this through. I am
going to be a representative of my people. Were shutting
this down. We're not going to do it, and we're
not going to revisit it. I gained so much respect
for him saying, you know what, I understand why people
are ticked off, and for taking my call and for saying,

(36:05):
you know what, Dan, I understand why you're ticked off.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
That's the kind of guy Paul was.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
And more than anything, I'm going to miss him as
a county executive. I'm going to miss him at those
Fourth of July parades. I'm gonna miss him at Republican events.
Oh man, we had a lot of fun at the RNC.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
It was him.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
I posted a picture of Scott Walker, former governor, in
a cheesehead that went all over because you know, obviously
it's a cheesehead.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
We were trying to get the cheesehead on Trump.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
I don't think that was ever going to happen, but
I believe it was Paul Farrow who actually put the
cheesehead on Walker's head. I'll never forget that too. It
was somehow, I don't know how. There wasn't supposed to
be press down on the floor with the delegates, but
the Wisconsin delegation just kind of snuck me in and
gave me a delegate I was wearing like a delegate.

(37:02):
Uh sorry, secret Service. Uh slipped one past the goalie there.
I was wearing a delegate bat.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
I want. I wonder my goodness, you know, I think.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
It was Paul who got me an extra delegate badge
that he had. But I was sitting talking with Tommy
Thompson and Scott Walker and Paul Farrow, not about politics
or a last You're just you know, shooting the breeze
about anything at everything. And honestly, that's how I'm That's
how I'm gonna remember Paul. Just always smiling, always you know,

(37:37):
down to have a drink, down to have fun, but
always always always thinking about doing what's best for the
people of Wisconsin. And man, one of the best men
that this state has ever seen in politics.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Rest in peace, Paul. I'll see you again, my friend.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
I know that my deepest condolences on behalf of everyone
at the Dan o'donald Show, everyone at Heartland Post. Just
my deepest condolences to everyone who knew and who loved him. Uh,
You'll be in my prayers. You're listening to the Dan
o'donald Show right back.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
After this.

Speaker 7 (38:18):
Conservative thought not just talk. The Dan o'donald Show will
be right back.

Speaker 9 (38:26):
To foxnewspodcast dot com.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Almost got to talk. I'm in the four o'clock hour.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Unfortunately, we are going to have to punt on the
unhinged liberal of the day today.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Just how about the unhinged liberalists?

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Just whatever five or six nuts were outside of the
one twenty eighth air refueling wing, holding their signs and
marching around. I don't even know if they there were
any I didn't see any pictures of it. I'm just
assuming because wherever a conservative goes, there are going to
be a handful of liberal nuts waving their signs and

(39:28):
shrieking as the motorcade passes. So they are your unhinged
liberals of the day Daily Trump.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Day coming up next.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
President Trump makes a very very important set of remarks
in Turkey and Vice President Vance in Milwaukee Dan O'Donnell's
show coming WYSN, Welcome back Massive News Day here in Wisconsin.

(40:16):
Vice President jd Vance in town to take aim not
just at fraudsters, but at Wisconsin's Governor Tony Evers for
standing with those fraudsters by refusing to turn over snap
benefit or voter roll data, which yes, absolutely federal law

(40:37):
does require, not just the supremacy clause of the Constitution,
which we've been talking about quite a bit here on
the Dan O'Donnell show. As bad actors like Hannah Dugan,
who today was sentenced to just a five thousand dollars fine,
avoiding probation, avoiding prison time, she seemed to think that
she was.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
Above federal law. Federal law enforcement.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Jev Oor Evers seems to think that state privacy laws
allow him to simply refuse to cooperate with a federal investigation. Essentially,
what Evers is doing is just like what Dugan did.
Now she did it very dramatically in obstructing a federal
investigation by sneaking an illegal immigrant, violent criminal away from

(41:20):
ICE agents through her jury room door. But Governor Evers
is standing up for those exact same criminal illegal immigrants
who are committing welfare fraud by refusing to simply turnover
snap benefit data so that federal investigators, led by Vice

(41:41):
President Vance's Anti Fraud Task Force can just sort of
take a look and make sure that people aren't getting
benefits who shouldn't be getting benefits. And it's not as
though this is some imaginary concern. How many recent examples
have we seen a massive welfare fraud just here in Wisconsin.

(42:05):
The only states that are really cooperating with any of
this are red states. Now, do you think there is
more welfare fraud in a state like say Florida or
a state like California? Egg exactly. So we will dive
into that in just a little bit. In fact, much
of the four o'clock hour is going to be devoted

(42:26):
to Vice President Vance's visit as well as what he
is asking for. What the federal government is asking for
is one hundred percent legally justified. I have got the
proof Governor Evers, the Evers administration Attorney General Josh Cole,
who filed lawsuit or joined a multi state lawsuit to

(42:47):
try to stop states from having to cooperate with these
federal investigations. They are in blatant violation of federal law,
and I will prove it coming up right now. Though
it is time now for the daily Trump.

Speaker 10 (42:58):
Tem going to so much you may even get tired
of winning.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
Trump just keeps winning.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
It is a win for the administration, it's also a
big win for the United States.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
We have to keep winning.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
We have to win Barn, We're gonna win Moore.

Speaker 3 (43:14):
Well, Iran started firing on ships trying to traverse the
Strait of Horror moves again. That was like the one
thing that they had to stop doing so that the
ceasefire deal would remain in place. They couldn't do it.
The trigger fingers just got way too itchy. And now
it appears that they are going to feel the wrath

(43:36):
of the American military once again. President Trump saying while
in Turkey for the twenty twenty six NATO Summit that
the deal is off. As far as he's concerned, the
ceasefire deal is dead, and now the United States is
going to go back to bombing Wiley Milwaukee. Today, Vice
President Vance talked about how exactly the Iranians violated.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
The deal that we.

Speaker 11 (44:00):
Cut was we'll lift our blockade if you stop shooting
at ships, but if you shoot at ships, we are
going to punch back, and we're gonna punch back harder.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
Than ever before. That was the deal.

Speaker 11 (44:11):
They said they would stop shooting at ships, and what
happened twenty four hours ago they start shooting at ships again.
Now they were good, They were well behaved for about
a week but then they start shooting at ships.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
So the deal is very simple.

Speaker 11 (44:22):
If they shoot at ships, we're gonna knock the hell
out of them. And it's that simple, and that's the
basic way it's gonna work.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
Man doesn't get any more straightforward than that. But the Iranians, unfortunately,
are a little Loco's I'm you talking that is the
President of the United States. President Trump, during his press
conference after the NATO summit, said the Araanians are a
little loco. He had hoped that the people who the

(44:50):
United States was negotiating with were the saner faction of
the people who remain in power after Iron's first two
waves senior leadership were both taken out, but a last
it was not to be.

Speaker 10 (45:04):
They want to make a deal, but they don't know
how to make a deal, and then they go around
shooting ships at night.

Speaker 6 (45:08):
I don't like that. You know, they're dealing with very
fine people.

Speaker 10 (45:11):
The dealing with Steve Woodcock, they're dealing with Jared Kushner
and jd Vance, and they're dealing with Marco and Scott.

Speaker 6 (45:19):
They're dealing with great people. But I don't know. I
think they're a little loco.

Speaker 10 (45:24):
They're a little crazy, but they told us they'd like
to go to the funeral, the funeral of a very
person who was killed.

Speaker 6 (45:36):
A lot of people.

Speaker 10 (45:38):
Kamani killed a lot of people over the years and
there for a long time. Don't forget what we did.
Should have been done forty seven years ago. It could
have been done any time within forty This has gone
on for they were the bully of the Middle East.
So they are much different country now. In one day,
all of their anti aircraft things are gone. That doesn't

(45:59):
mean they're not going to get a plane at some point,
but all of it's gone. Everything's gone. The leaders are gone.
At leaders they're gone, and they had another set of leaders.

Speaker 6 (46:09):
They're gone. Now they have another set of leaders. They
may be gone, who knows. And you know what I
may be gone to because I'm their number one target.
It's out all over the place.

Speaker 10 (46:20):
I'm the number because they's gom that's the way they
act and that's the way they've done it for forty
seven years. But I'm doing what's right for the country.
I'm doing really what's right for the world. They have
to be stopped and they've killed thousands, hundreds of thousands
of people. They killed fifty two thousand protesters over the
last three months.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
And President Trump says that they would kill many, many
more if they're able to reconstitute any semblance of a
working military, and they just need to now be taken out. Unfortunately,
there was an attempt at negotiation, but the powers of

(46:58):
rational thinking Iran lost out to the hard line Islamists.
And you know what, that's the way it is. They
chose violence. That's probably not going to work out. The
president was asked, so, so, what what exactly changed here
in your thinking about the Iranians? Because there would be

(47:22):
sort of flare ups intentions and there would be some
firing on a ship trying to go through the strait, and.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
President it's okay, it's okay, it's okay.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
President Trump said, you know what, we just got sick
of their nonsense.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
We changed.

Speaker 6 (47:37):
And do you think that I got to know? So
I've said that about a lot now.

Speaker 10 (47:42):
When you say rational, I think they're much more rational
than level one, level two. Level one is gone, Level
two is gone. This is level three. I think they
are more rational, but based on their actions over the last.

Speaker 6 (47:54):
Week or two, uh, they're not.

Speaker 10 (47:57):
They're not doing a service to the people, and I
think more than anything else has I got to know them,
and I'm not sure I want to make a deal
with them.

Speaker 6 (48:05):
We can play games, but I'm not sure I want
to make a deal.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
Let's just finish the job, and it seems as though
that is what the military is going to do.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
I would not want to.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Be an Iranian soldier stationed on Carg Island right now.
I think now the only move left just sees Carg Island,
which is the oil fields. It is the engine of
Iran's economy such as it is. We tried to allow
them to step into the twenty first century, hell, to

(48:40):
step out of the eighth century, and to join with
the rest of the region in a new attitude, a
new relationship with the rest of the world, and they
just refused to do it.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
So now.

Speaker 3 (49:00):
Goodbye, all right, That, ladies and gentlemen, is your daily
Trump date.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Vice President JD.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
Vance came to the one twenty eighth air refueling Wing
at Mitchell International Airport today. He then attended a very
high price fundraiser I believe was at the Fister Hotel.
It was expected to bring in two point two million
dollars for the Republican National Committee. This was a very

(49:28):
very exclusive event with the Vice President, But the big
ticket item today was his speech along with doctor oz
in rooting out food staff benefit fraud, fraud really in
all federal welfare programs, because, as Vice President Vance said, look, folks,

(49:50):
the goal of this is to make sure that these
programs are still around and still solve it and not
just hemorrhaging money to waste fraud and abuse, particularly fraud.
In fact, doctor oz how highlighted some incredible examples of
how you take a program with a two hundred million
dollar budget, it suddenly balloons to a billion dollars or

(50:12):
more because you've actually got to pay all of the
legitimate claims as well as all of the new claims
that arise by people who are simply taking advantage of
the system. And this is the thing that just does
not make sense to me. It fundamentally does not make sense.
Why is it that Democrats are fighting so hard against

(50:33):
any efforts to ensure that the only people who are
getting benefits are the people who are legitimately supposed to
be getting those benefits. I think it's because they know
how many illegal aliens are on their roles and they're
perfectly fine with that. Either they don't want to be
exposed for having so many illegal aliens on the SNAP

(50:55):
rolls or other welfare roles, or they think there is
some political advantage to doing so. Here's Vice President Vance
saying something that once upon a time you would have
thought that every American conservative or liberal, Democrat or Republican
could agree with.

Speaker 11 (51:13):
Part of what we're trying to do is to ensure
that these programs exist for the next generation. Look, just
take one of the biggest, the biggest federal programs out there,
Social Security. People pay into Social Security for their entire
working lives. Every single day or every two weeks, I
should say, we get a paycheck and we see on

(51:33):
that paycheck the amount of money that is going.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
To Social Security.

Speaker 11 (51:37):
I am worried that if we don't stop sending Social
Security checks to illegal immigrants, that people who paid into
it for their entire lives are never going to have
access to that money. That's a scam and it's totally unacceptable.
So the most important thing we can do to ensure
those benefits exist for the people who earned them is
to make sure that the fraudsters don't get them.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
That the American people do.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
How is that at all controversial?

Speaker 3 (52:02):
How is this something that states like Wisconsin are fighting
so hard to stop. So, the way that food stamps,
the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, it is known
as food share here in Wisconsin. The way these benefits
work is that the states administer them, but they're funded

(52:25):
by the federal government. In the case of food stamps,
it's the Agricultural Department. The federal government basically just writes
a check to the states after each year of the
state providing the benefits. The federal government has no oversight
over the roles. The federal government has really very limited
idea of who is actually getting these benefits. But the

(52:49):
federal government also does foot the bill. So if there's
massive fraud in Wisconsin the rest of the country, all
of us are paying for it in the form of
our tax dollars going to people who don't deserve them,
who don't deserve the benefits. Now, Governor Evers has refused, refused,
just absolutely refuse to turnover simple data on who it

(53:14):
is that is on food Share assistance here in Wisconsin
so that the federal government can look at those roles
and say, okay, we can cross check this with databases
of who we know to be in this country illegally.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
We can take a look to see if there is fraud.

Speaker 3 (53:32):
We can probably do this with artificial intelligence in the
span of an afternoon, maybe ten minutes, if you've got
a good enough AI. Evers isn't just refusing to turn
over that data. Attorney General Josh Caul joined Wisconsin in
a multi state lawsuit suing the federal government over this.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
Now, a reporter, I believe it was was it.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
Aj Byatpoor, was asking about this one from CBS fifty eight.
The Vice president took some questions from reporters at the event. Unfortunately,
I guess the VP's office I don't think got back
to us. But I think the only questions there were
because there was such a quick visit. They were like

(54:16):
in and out, boom, boom, boom. They were not doing
any long form interviews, were putting the request. Unfortunately, I
don't believe they had time for us. That they took
a couple of questions from reporters, and I believe it
was by it Poor asked about Eber's refusal to turn
over that data.

Speaker 11 (54:32):
If you are administering a program collecting billions and billions
of dollars and you don't check whether the people you're
giving that money to are actually entitled to it. That
is a complete scam that's being perpetrated on every single
person in this room. So what we've asked the governor
to do is just give us the data so that

(54:53):
we can check whether you've got illegal aliens on your
food stamp roles.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
And he's saying absolutely not.

Speaker 11 (55:00):
The only plausible explanation for that is that he cares
more about protecting illegal aliens than he does the good
citizens of Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
It's a scam and it has to stop.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
It absolutely is a scam, and I frankly don't think
there is any other plausible explanation than that that Governor
Evers believes that the federal government is actually going.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
To use this And this is what this is all about, folks.

Speaker 3 (55:22):
They believe that the federal government is going to use
this Snap benefit data to deport all of the people
who are getting Snap benefits illegally, because you know, they
are committing fraud, and if they're illegal, committing fraud crime
is grounds for deportation. So these left wing governors don't

(55:43):
want that data in the hands of the Trump administration
because quite simply, they don't want those illegals to port it.
Here's the thing, though, federal law and the Constitution itself
actually compell them to do so. I will explain when
we return in just a second. Don't go anywhere the
dan O'donald's I'll be back before you know.

Speaker 12 (56:01):
It day every day on Newstalk eleven th WISN.

Speaker 3 (56:23):
Vice President JD Vance in Milwaukee today taking aim at
Governor Evers over his refusal to share food stamp benefit
data with the federal government, which is actively investigating fraud.
This essentially amounts to obstruction of a federal investigation, and
it is written right into federal law that you can't

(56:45):
do that. Now, the federal government is also investigating voter roles,
and there is apparently an active investigation in Milwaukee into
the twenty twenty presidential election, and at the same time,
the state of Wisconsin is being requested to turnover voter

(57:06):
rule data to make sure that the people who are
registered to vote and are voting in this state are
actually eligible to vote and that there have not been
fraudulent ballots cast.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Why is it.

Speaker 3 (57:20):
That Democrats just do not want any sort of investigation
into voter fraud. Well, JD. Vance said he'll make a
deal with the lefties, will stop talking about voter fraud
if you guys just pass national voter ID law.

Speaker 11 (57:39):
There's, of course this big debate about how much election
fraud happens in the United States of America.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
You guys know my views. We're not going to settle
this year.

Speaker 11 (57:47):
First of all, any election fraud is too much election
fraud in the world's greatest and oldest constitutional republic. And
number two Democrats want us to stop talking about election fraud.

Speaker 1 (58:02):
I make them a simple deal.

Speaker 11 (58:04):
Pass the Save America Act and get voter ID and
we'll stop talking about election fraud.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
I'm down. I support that.

Speaker 3 (58:12):
I will never again on this program talk about voter
fraud ever again, just past the Save America Act. Now,
when Vice President Vance took questions from reporters, I actually
think this was aj Biatpor's question to Vance. He was
asked about a letter that Milwaukee's Mayor Chevy Cavalier Johnson

(58:35):
sent to the Vice President saying he wants to sit
down and talk about the ongoing investigation into potential voter
fraud in Milwaukee. Stemming from the twenty twenty presidential election.
We have been reporting on this program. We have been
reporting over at Heartland Post that FBI agents have been
questioning multiple people about what went on on the night

(58:58):
of the election twenty two twenty. Who knew what, when, where, why, how?

Speaker 2 (59:03):
And by it?

Speaker 3 (59:05):
Poor asked Vice President Vance about Chevy Johnson's life.

Speaker 11 (59:09):
Did get the letter from the mayor of Milwaukee and
he wants to meet and he's welcome to come to Washington, DC.

Speaker 1 (59:15):
I'll sit down and meet with him. We don't have
time to meet with him.

Speaker 11 (59:17):
Today because we had to get back to Washington, but
I'm happy to meet with him. I will say it
was a little bit of a he doth protests too
much because I came here to talk about financial fraud.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
I came here to talk about the fraud.

Speaker 11 (59:30):
Against our prenatal program for our young moms. And some
guy sends me a letter, the mayor of Milwaukee and says,
we don't.

Speaker 1 (59:38):
Do any election fraud. We don't do any election fraud.
We don't do any election fraud.

Speaker 11 (59:42):
And my response to that is, you know what, it
kind of reminds me of like a couple of weeks ago,
I get home to the Naval Observatory, the nicest public
housing anywhere in the United States of America, and my
six year old greets me, and I love my little boy,
but he's a little mischievous, and he gives me a
big hug. He says, Daddy, I'm glad you're home. I
didn't steal any of the cookies. How is it, Huh,

(01:00:05):
that's interesting that you volunteered that when I wasn't even
talking about that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Well, of course he stole the cookies.

Speaker 11 (01:00:12):
So when I hear a guy protesting out of nowhere,
I did not do any election fraud.

Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
I did not do any election fraud, it.

Speaker 11 (01:00:19):
Makes me wonder, why is that guy protesting so aggressively?

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
It's a little odd again.

Speaker 3 (01:00:24):
Why do you Why didn't liberals want an investigation? Why
is it that there is you would think also you
want to shut Dan O'Donnell and JD. Vance and and
everybody else, the my pillow guy, anybody who's been talking
about election fraud. I'm not talking about you know, reprogramming,

(01:00:48):
dominion voting machines or anything like that. I am talking
about the voter fraud that I proved happened in twenty
twenty is the result of a It was a subject
of a massive, massive criminal investing, and that criminal investigation
down in Racine started with a report I did about
that nursing home. I was the one who actually found

(01:01:09):
the fraud. I will shut up about it. If you
allow a federal investigation, they won't do it. They won't
turn over the voter role of that. Here's the thing
they are actually required to and in fact, it is
the Civil Rights Act that requires it. The Civil Rights

(01:01:31):
Act of nineteen sixty maintains that state and local election
administrators preserve records for twenty two months and requires them
to be delivered to the Attorney General upon written demand
for a stated purpose. Now, the City of Milwaukee has
actually retained records for well longer than twenty twenty. But

(01:01:53):
that's not what's being requested in this case. The record
that is being requested is merely the voter rolls them selves.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Those are things that are never destroyed. What we're talking
about is ballots.

Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
It's it's any sort of paper data from twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
That's not what's being requested.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
All the feds want is the voter rule, who is
signed up to vote, who is an active voter who
is an inactive voter. Civil Rights Act of nineteen sixty
requires this. Democrats are quite literal. Governor Evers right now
is violating the Civil Rights Act of nineteen sixty by

(01:02:30):
refusing to turn over this data. Not only that the
n R the A the National.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Motor Voter.

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Okay, I don't even remember what it's called motor everybody
knows it as motor voter.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
Motor Voter says that states must maintain records concerning the
implementation of programs and activities conducted for the purpose of
ensuring the accuracy and currence. You have official lists of
eligible voters and make them available for public inspection. The
Attorney General of the United States or someone acting on

(01:03:10):
his behalf can in fact enforce via civil action this
portion of the law fifty two USC. Section two zero
five to Zho seven. All Right, Motor Voter is absolutely
still valid Law.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
JAVA.

Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
The Help America Vote Act requires computerized statewide voter registration
lists and maintenance enforcement. The Attorney General once again can
file a civil action for compliance. These are not These

(01:03:54):
are not voluntary requirements. States shall maintain the These roles
states are required when the federal government subpedas a record
and says, state, you need to comply with an ongoing investigation.
The state can't say naw, we're good. Snap benefit data

(01:04:19):
is governed by the Food and Nutrition Act of two
thousand and eight.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
States under seven USC.

Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
Twenty twenty must maintain and make available records as may
be necessary to determine whether the program is being conducted
in compliance with this Chapter, including regulations issued under this chapter.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
This is mandatory.

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
These lists shall be made available for inspection and audit.
When you hear the word shall in a federal statute
or any statute, any ordinance that does not mean optional.
When you see shall, this is like one of the
first things they teach you in law school. Shall means must,
Shall means no exceptions. Shall means you do it. Not

(01:05:12):
only that EVA is saying that, well, we can't do
this because doing so would violate state privacy laws. First
of all, state privacy laws don't trump federal laws that
say you have to do this when the USDA or
when the Attorney General launches an investigation. Because of the
supremacy clause of the Constitution, federal law is the supreme

(01:05:34):
law of the lad. It flows directly from the Constitution.
Nothing is higher than the Constitution. Federal law, because it
flows directly from the Constitution, is directly below that state
law is below that municipal codes are below state law.
There is a hierarchy of laws. Governor Evers doesn't just
get to say, well, my privacy law trumps your federal law.

(01:05:55):
That requires me to do what she say. And besides,
under seven US twenty twenty, states do have protections that
are actually required under federal law to protect people's privacy.
So there are safeguards within this statute.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
And also.

Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
There is an exception. So the law that Evers is citing,
I'm realizing that I'm not doing a great job explaining this.
Federal law requires that when you set up your snap
benefits program food Share here in Wisconsin, you need to

(01:06:40):
have privacy safeguards for people who are recipients of this welfare.
The state did that, however, notwithstanding any other provision of laws.
Directly in federal law, information shall be made available upon
request to local, state, or federal law enforcement officials for

(01:07:03):
the purpose of investigating an alleged violation of this chapter.
There's that word again, shall In the same law that
sets up and requires Wisconsin to have a privacy law
protecting the privacy of food stamp beneficiaries. There is also
a provision that says, if we're investigating potential fraud in

(01:07:26):
this program, you have got to turn over the data.

Speaker 10 (01:07:32):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:07:32):
Naturally, this multi state lawsuit resulted in an injunction against
the federal government. Now, of course, this injunction is going
to get overruled. Eventually, this is going to get into
the hands of a sane federal court. It might have
to go all the way up to the United States
Supreme Court, But the law is crystal clear. The states
here are violating the supremacy clause by saying, well, our

(01:07:55):
privacy statutes trump the statute that creates their privacy statute
and the statute that creates the mechanism for administering food
stamp benefits across the country. Evers, in other words, is
violating multiple federal laws. The EBS administration is even violating

(01:08:17):
the Civil Rights Act of nineteen sixty all for what.

Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
For what.

Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
To protect people who are defrauding the government, who are
helping to potentially steal citizens' votes. And yes, a single
fraudulent vote in fact corrupts an election, because a single
fraudulent vote cancels out a valid vote, not clear whose
vote it is might be yours. The investigation into that

(01:08:48):
is of course necessary to preserve the integrity of elections.
Just saying, well, voter fraud is a myth, voter fraud
doesn't exist. How about we find out real easy way
to tell a make sure everybody provides some form of
proof of citizenship for voting, and some form of proof

(01:09:11):
of if they are who they say they are, some
sort of proof of identity.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
That easy.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
And how about that? How about if there are people
who aren't supposed to be on the roles, you turn
the roles over to the federal government and the FBI investigates.
What do we have to lose? The only thing that
makes sense is Democrats believe that they benefit from voter fraud.
And the thing that really doesn't make any sense is

(01:09:38):
they apparently believe that they benefit from welfare fraud as well,
because they're refusing to turn over those roles as well.

Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
Ebers say, we can't do it. We need to protect
the profile, the privacy.

Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
How many people have we found in other states that
are getting benefits that aren't supposed to be so democrats
in this state are real to violate federal law to
protect fraudsters. We're going to dive into that in a
little bit greater depth when we come back right here
on the Dan o'donald's.

Speaker 5 (01:10:10):
Show, they begin the application process.

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Welcome back to the Dan o'donald's show. I don't think
there is any real doubt here. Democrats believe that they benefit,
or at least they're acting like they believe that they
benefit from some level of welfare fraud and some level
of voter fraud. Why would you resist this heart? Give

(01:10:53):
me a legitimate reason to resist this heart. I think
it ultimately comes down to the fact that a they
know that there are illegal immigrants and a substantial number
of them on especially snap benefit roles, and maybe someone
on voter registration rolls, and they believe that the Trump

(01:11:15):
administration is going to use the cross referencing of those.

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
Roles with potential.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
Like if you think the AI that we have as
everyday Americans is impressive, as I do, it's getting better
every single day. The federal government likely has tools that
are well beyond the capabilities of publicly released AIS. It
would probably be very easy for the FEDS to simply

(01:11:45):
go through use an AI program to cross check all
of the snap benefit data with possibly records of people
who might have been caught crossing the border. Maybe they
can cross reference with say a birth certificate in Nicaragua
that matches the same person. In other words, they can

(01:12:08):
use this to very quickly see who is in this
country illegally, and not only that, if they're on the
welfare roles or if they're registered to vote, they're committing
a crime.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
And it's very easy.

Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
To then justify going in and getting them out of
the country again. Though, if that is the reason, I
do believe that's actually the reason. I believe the real
reason that all of these Democrat governors don't want the
FEDS poking around and actually finding fraudies a They're going
to find a ton of fraud, and I believe it's

(01:12:42):
gonna look really, really bad politically. Just look at Governor
timple Walls was going to run for another term in Minnesota,
but because a twenty some year old guy with an
iPhone did the work that the rest of the media
in Minnesota across the country would and found tons and
tons and tons of welfare fraud in Minnesota that forced

(01:13:05):
Tim Walls out of the race.

Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
That ended Tim Walls's political career.

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
I mean that got lost in the shuffle of all
the chaos over the battle over Minneapolis when ICE showed up,
but it was so bad politically for Walls.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
It ended his political career.

Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
Now Evers doesn't worry about the same thing happening to
him because he's retiring anyway, not running for another term.
But that would be a huge stain on the Democrat
Party of Wisconsin. So that's one reason. But also remember
they don't want deportations. These are the people who want
to abolish ICE, who don't want local law enforcement to
cooperate with ICE. So if you give the federal government

(01:13:47):
a huge tool in identifying who's here illegally, and then
they can very easily just kind of go in. Now
they can generate an administrative warrant because this person is
committing welfare fraud by getting benefits illegally. Illegal immigrants are
not allowed to be receiving food stamps, and we are
told by Dems they don't, they don't, they don't. Well

(01:14:07):
that yes, they actually do. Again, you have to ask yourself, well,
why is it that Democrats want illegal immigrants here. The
reality is actually pretty easy to ascertain because it gives
them political power. Tomorrow on the Dan O'Donnell Show, we

(01:14:27):
are actually going to dive into how and it's not
just that illegal immigrants in this country get counted for
the purposes of the census. So even if they never
cast a vote, just them being here, and they are
here disproportionately in blue states, that allows Democrats to have

(01:14:48):
more seats in Congress, more votes in the electoral College
than they deserve if we were just counting American citizens
and people who are legally allowed permanent residence, Green card holders,
and so much more. But if we count illegal immigrants,
we are giving a big advantage to Democrats. Not just
about that, folks, It is about importing people from the

(01:15:11):
Third World who really are here to change the culture
of the United States and who are here to supply
the votes for the communist socialism that Democrats want to
inflict on the rest of us. It's already happening in Europe.
You have seen a huge surge of left wing governments

(01:15:32):
amid the massive influx of migrants from the Muslim world. Now,
of course, there has been a whole lot of pushback here.
Starmar actually had to.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Resign when the rape gang, the Muslim rape Gang.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
Report was released. Will you see a similar backlash here?
Here's hoping. I do want to get to this. Vice
President JD Vans in Milwaukee today. He told an incredibly
charming story about the last time he was in Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
It was for the.

Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
RNC and he missed a very important phone call that
was to change his life.

Speaker 13 (01:16:09):
I got to be honest, I had a little bit
of PTSD because the last time that I was in
that hotel was the twenty twenty four RNC convention. And
if y'all remember, I flew to Milwaukee the Monday morning
that the RNC convention starts, and I get there and
I have no idea if I'm the VP nominee or not.

(01:16:32):
So I get to my hotel, which is not the FIST,
it's at the other hotel for the RNC convention, and
I get a phone call.

Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
Actually it was a text message from Susie Wilds.

Speaker 11 (01:16:41):
Who was the campaign manager in twenty twenty four, and
the text message says, JD, you just missed a very
important phone call. I'm like, oh no, So I call
the President of United States, and I say, sir, I
hear I miss an important phone call, and he said, JD,
you did miss a very important phone call. And now
I'm gonna have to pick somebody else, and like you know,

(01:17:03):
my entire body clinches up.

Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
I'm like, is this is this? Is this real?

Speaker 11 (01:17:07):
And then at the same time, my seven year old,
who's now nine, but at the time, my seven year
old boy is talking to me about Pokemon cards. So
I'm trying to talking to the President of United States
about becoming the vice presidential nominee, and meanwhile my seven
year old is talking to me about Charmander cards and
I have no idea what's going on. But so walking
through the Fisser Hotel, I've got this like moment of

(01:17:30):
remembrance of the moment where I almost missed the president's
phone call.

Speaker 1 (01:17:35):
But here I am. It worked out. I'm the vice
president of United States thanks to you.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
And so I just had to share that.

Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
I just had to share that little anecdote because it
was just it just you forget that these are human
beings with families, with people who care about them, and
it's very very funny. I could tell you nobody knew
who the vice presidential nominee was going to be. I
actually found out shortly before it. I mean very very

(01:18:04):
shortly before. It was not Vance's right, it was. Nobody
including Vance found out until the first day, or I
think it was the day before the first day of
the RNC. Okay, remember a whole lot was going on
at the time. President Trump had just been shot in Butler, Pennsylvania,
and they were saying they from the get go, they

(01:18:26):
were saying they were going to name the running mate.

Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
It was either going to be.

Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
Doug Bergham or Marco Rubio or Jdvass. Interestingly enough, three
of the most effective members of the Trump administration.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
They were going to name them.

Speaker 3 (01:18:39):
The three finalists were all in Milwaukee, and one of
them was going to be named.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
At the RNC.

Speaker 3 (01:18:47):
I actually found out because I got a tip. I
was having lunch with Bianca de la Garza and John
Bachman of Newsmax, and a couple of producers I think
were with us as well, and we were right across
from the Fiserve Forum at one of the little restaurants there,
and I got a text from somebody who was actually

(01:19:08):
inside the Fiserve and they go, Dan, it's j D
I'm like, how do you know? He goes, because I'm
looking at the video they're gonna play tonight introducing JD
Vance And I'm like, okay, well did they do three videos?

Speaker 2 (01:19:24):
He's like, no, They've only got one. It's JD Vance.

Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
And before I can even like, you know, get it,
it's JD Vance. So great memory. We're gonna take a
quick break when we come back. I seven ninety four
not going to be turned down, a torn down.

Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
He see.

Speaker 12 (01:19:43):
Sit planning.

Speaker 6 (01:19:44):
I am Chauncey Wisen.

Speaker 9 (01:19:45):
So.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
Welcome back.

Speaker 3 (01:20:11):
It is the Dan o'donald Show, A busy news day
getting even busier. Earlier in the program, we reported that
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley is dropping out of the
governor's race. Well now, Molly Becka the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
is reporting that Crowley is endorsing Lieutenant Governor Sarah Rodriguez

(01:20:36):
in the Democratic primary. This, according to a source close
to the campaign, this means ladies and gentlemen, It is
almost certain a yes. Crowley and his team probably did
come to the independent conclusion that it just wasn't there.
The math wasn't mathing, as the kids say. He had

(01:20:57):
no path forward. There was just he did not get
any traction. He was a distant fourth behind the two
socialists in Francesca Hong and Mandela Barnes, and even Sarah Rodriguez,
who's running a very distant third. She is well behind,
but she was well ahead of David Crowley, who is

(01:21:17):
at somewhere around six percent five percent, just kind of
really languishing in the policy, not way down there with
Joel Brennan. And if I say the name Joel Brennan,
does anybody know who I'm talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
All Right?

Speaker 3 (01:21:31):
Doug Russell, the very knowledgeable guy who does news on
News Talk eleven thirty WYSN. He is our sports director
over at our sister station, Fox Sports Radio nine twenty.
He keeps up with the news, He keeps up with
the sports. You know, Joel Brennan is running for governor.
You know, David Crowley dropped out of the race. I said,

(01:21:53):
the other candidates are Francesca Hong and Mandela Barnes. Who
is the fifth candidate still in the race. Barnes, Hong, Brennan, Rodriguez.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
And who.

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
He says, Haha, I have no idea. That's the problem.
Kelder Royce state senator. She has been seeking statewide office forever,
and the people routinely reject Kelder Royce. She's going to
be the next one to drop out. She is probably

(01:22:33):
going to hold out for some cushy position within the
Rodriguez administration. This is usually how it works. She is
going to get something in return. But right now we
are seeing what I have predicted forever. I thought they
were going to do this against Mandela Barnes, after they
did it for Mandela Barnes four years ago, that they

(01:22:55):
were going to just put pressure on every other candidate,
make threats if need be, offer bribes if need be.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
I'm not alleging.

Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
Like bribes in the form of like here, here's a
sack full of money, although I would not put it
past them. What I mean is, you're going like they
did with Pete Bootajege. Pete Bootajeg was clearly promised Secretary
of Transportation or Secretary of something in the Biden administration
if he dropped out when he did to stop the

(01:23:26):
socialist Bernie Sanders from running away with the primary. Right
after Joe Biden won the South Carolina primary, it was
still Bernie Sanders who was dominating the early States and
was going to do very very well on Super Tuesday
until the word got out that everybody was going to
get behind Joe Biden. All of the other establishment Dems

(01:23:48):
were forced to drop out, and wouldn't you know it,
Biden ended up with the nomination until he just showed
the entire world that he didn't have any brain cells
left in that debate. And then the Democrats promise, well,
there's going to be an open and thorough but very
brief nomination process, and and everybody's going to have to say,

(01:24:10):
oh wait no.

Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
Four hours later, it's just going to be Kamala Harris.
Deal with it.

Speaker 3 (01:24:16):
That's what they do. And I assumed back in November
when Democrats said, look, we are not going to line
up behind you again, Mandela, and I was hearing from
Democrat sources, yes, I do have them that the party
did not want Mandela A. He's a socialist, okay, but

(01:24:39):
he's not nearly as fire breathing as a socialist. Francesca
hang Is the biggest problem is that the Democratic Party
thinks Barnes is an idiot.

Speaker 2 (01:24:52):
They think he is just a moron.

Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
They think he was so incompetent he lost a race
against raw Johnson that nobody thought could be lost. They
thought Johnson was so vulnerable he's dead in the water.
Tony Evers is a popular incumbent. He's probably going to
win reelection, not super easily, but he's running against, let's
be honest with ourselves, not the best candidate that Republicans

(01:25:19):
could have put up in Tim Michael's four years ago,
and Barnes blew it.

Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
So all of that, there are are news.

Speaker 3 (01:25:25):
Articles put out saying, hey, Mandela, if you run, you're
not going to have the field cleared for you. That's
just not going to happen. I thought that they were
going to rig the primary against Mandela, and I thought
the candidate was going to be David Crowley. Well he
dropped out. Today he endorses Sarah Rodriguez. Now what you're
seeing is it's Sarah Rodriguez's turn. Sarah Rodriguez is going

(01:25:51):
to be the Joe Biden. She is going to be
the Mandela Barnes who had the primary rigged for him
four years ago. In twenty twenty two, and David Crowley
was clearly promised something. You get out, you endorse Sarah,
just like Missy Hughes. Missy Hughes, you want to be
a Secretary of Tourism, David Crowley, you have clearly ambitions

(01:26:17):
for higher office. If you do this, you don't have
to be Milwaukee County executive forever. When I was gonna
say when Tammy Baldwin retires, although no, you know what
when Tammy Baldwin retires, because I think Sarah god Luski
was promised the Senate seat or the Senate candidacy in

(01:26:42):
twenty twenty would that be twenty thirty, No, twenty twenty eight,
when Ron Johnson is up again. When Johnson's up again
in twenty twenty eight, if he runs again, and I
don't believe he will. I believe that god Lusky was
promised that she is to be the candidate, that they.

Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
Were clear the field for her.

Speaker 3 (01:27:04):
You notice, by the way, that there were a ton
of Democrats who were running for governor, but only one
wanted to run for lieutenant governor. Really, and it just
happened to be Sarah god Luski. Okay, okay, So I
believe this was how she was paid back.

Speaker 2 (01:27:22):
Crowley's a young guy.

Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
I think he's early forties, late thirties, Doug, Can you
how old is David Crown. I'm gonna guess, like thirty
nine forty. Maybe he's promised, Hey, David, get your you
know what in order. And if Frannie Hawn gets her
rear end kicked because you know she's a comedie by

(01:27:45):
Tom Tiffany, you get the next crack at him in
twenty thirty will clear the field for you.

Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
He's what, he's forty Okay, I was forty years old.
He'll be forty.

Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
Four next time around, all right, Like it's not your time, David,
next time will be and we'll make sure of it.
I think that's what's going on. And I have long
thought that democrats and the money people who support these

(01:28:20):
candidates and who support this party are much more pragmatic
than the idiot base who's out there throwing Molotov cocktails
in the streets and voting for socialists like Zorn Mamdani.
Here's the problem, though, the psychopaths throwing the molotov cocktails,

(01:28:40):
they are now the dominant force in the party. They
are the ones who are showing up, and they are
the ones who are voting in the primaries, and they
are the ones who are generating all of the energy.
This is an insurgency right now. This is what you
are seeing is a palace coup. What you are seeing

(01:29:01):
is an attempt by the Democrat Socialists of America to
take over the Democratic Party.

Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
Say this is our party now, get.

Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
Rid of all of the old guard Democrats, primary them,
ll replace them with Democratic Socialists, replace them with open communists,
and take over the party. The Democrats aren't just scared
about Francesco hang losing, They're scared of her winning because

(01:29:31):
what it means for them moving forward. You know, President
Trump actually issued a very dire warning about communism sweeping
the globe that we're actually going to play coming up
in a couple of minutes, a two and a half
minute answer that he gave to a question he was
asked while at the NATO summit today. I want you
to hear all two and almus. He is absolutely fantastic

(01:29:54):
and we will dive into.

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
That coming up.

Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
But yet more breaking news to along that Crowley is
apparently going to endorse Sarah Rodriguez, at least according to
Molly Beck, reporting that via sources on X four one, four, seven, nine,
nine to eleven thirty is our Carpetland USA Flooring Center
Talk and text line email dood at iHeartMedia dot com,
at Dan O'Donnell Show on x Facebook, Instagram.

Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
We are streaming live on YouTube as well.

Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
The podcast is Dan O'donnald's Show on iHeartRadio or wherever
it is that you listen to podcasts. Well, the socialists
were dealt something of a blow in Milwaukee today as
Mayor Cavalier Johnson, who is not nearly as left wing
as I think some of us on the right think

(01:30:41):
you is. In fact, I gained a ton of respect
for Chevy Johnson. I'm sure he hates my guts because
I have made fun of him for a whole lot
of stuff. The fact that his name is Chevy Cavalier.
It's actually Cavalier, Shevy's his nickname. The fact that at
let's see, uh oh, here's one he very obviously knew

(01:31:06):
that his brother, who was on the lamb for shooting
a guy, was holed up at their mom's house, but
he lied about it during the campaign for mayor.

Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
Yeah, I was, I was a big one on that.

Speaker 3 (01:31:17):
But I gained a ton of respect for him because
Mayor Johnson was at every single event in planning and
trying to get the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, and
in fact, I was actually brought to like help woo
all of the out of town delegates. There's a big, big,
fancy like day long thing. He's gonna hate me saying this,

(01:31:42):
but writes previous and I had like way too much
to drink, and we're having way more fun than everybody
else at this event. But Cavalier Johnson gave an incredible species.

Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
Look, I'm a.

Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
Democrat, and you know, whoever your nominee is, I'm going
to vote against. But I think one thing that we
all support is the fact that Wisconsin is a great state,
Milwaukee is a great city. And I hope that the
Republican National Committee comes to this. It was really really good,
and everybody would saying, hey, you know, Mayor Johnson, that's

(01:32:15):
really awesome that you know, you put your city, you
put your constituents ahead of your politics, and I think
he did so.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
Today.

Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Mayor Johnson supports a proposal that was released today, announced
it at a press conference today that would reconfigure a
small part of I seven ninety four, but would not
tear it down. City of Milwaukee became the very first
back in nineteen eighty nine under Mayor John Norquist to

(01:32:45):
tear down a portion of the Interstate highway system. Why
because we thought it would spur on development in downtown Milwaukee.
Democrats have always hated freeways, especially they hate freeways. Do
you know why they hate freeways because they are away

(01:33:06):
that people can escape Democrat hellhole cities. When cities just
get ruined by decades of Democrat rule, people use those
freeways and get out of town. I'm only partially kidding,
ladies and gentlemen. They hate the freeway systems going through

(01:33:28):
any part.

Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
Of a city.

Speaker 3 (01:33:29):
So the idea here is that and in theory, I
see what the the other side is saying this.

Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
It's tear down seven ninety four.

Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
So seven ninety four goes right through the third Ward
and it is an elevated stretch off of the high
Rise Bridge that basically cuts off downtown from the third Ward.
How do you know you're entering the third Ward because
you go under the overpass, you go right past tent City, which,
ladies and gentlemen is back up. It is a much

(01:34:00):
smaller tent city than we had what seven years ago,
but they've got a porta potty back up there. Mayor
Cavalier Johnson made sure that the homeless people have a
porta potty to attract more homeless people, more tents. In
any event, there's a big movement of foot to tear

(01:34:22):
down I seven ninety four and to have a ground
level street that would go through, which would create more
developable land in a very very high tax area, a
very high end down there. The day before the fourth
of July, having brunch with an old college buddy who

(01:34:46):
was in town, and I love it toime. It's one
of the best areas of town, right by the public
market at you know, wonderful bar district, entertainment restaurants everywhere.

Speaker 2 (01:34:56):
And they say we can expand that we can have. Yes,
but it is insanely expensive to tear down a stretch
of freeway. It is extremely time consuming.

Speaker 3 (01:35:10):
You would not get your little utopia where the freeway
now stands for probably close to a decade. It took
Milwaukee what six years to fix a little bridge over
North Avenue North Avenue over the river. I'm thinking tearing
down the freeway is going to take a long time.

(01:35:31):
Not only that, traffic, especially in the summer, especially during
summerfest would be a nightmare. But that's not the biggest issue.
The biggest issue is the Port of Milwaukee. You would
not have easy access to the port for all of
the trucks coming to and from all of the ships

(01:35:52):
delivering goods to the city. Mayor Johnson said in a
press conference today, the prospects for our additional developable land
are outweighed by the potential downtown gridlock.

Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
As I just said this. According to the Milwaukee.

Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Journal Sentinel, the congestion would be particularly noticeable during summer,
when Milwaukee River bridges are frequently lifted for boats and
festival season.

Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
Attracts large crowds.

Speaker 3 (01:36:22):
Johnson's approach is shortsighted and prioritizes convenience ahead of what's
best for Milwaukee, said Taylor Courselin, who represents Rethink seven
ninety four, a group of urbanists, environmentalists, of course, and
others who support removing the freeway. If you want to
be bold about one million Milwaukeeans and the year of housing,

(01:36:44):
this corridor is where to start, Courseland said, referencing two
of the mayor's policy goals. Mayor Johnson wants a million
people in Milwaukee. Well, Mayor Johnson, you gotta do a
better job making sure that a bunch of them aren't
murdered every year if you eventually want to get to
a million. Johnson will submit his recommendation to the Wisconsin

(01:37:06):
Department of Transportation, which is considering four options for repairs
to the aging freeway. Johnson said today, I'm the mayor
of this city, so hopefully it carries a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:37:17):
It very likely does.

Speaker 3 (01:37:19):
Now, this recommendation does not mean the removal of the
freeway is off the table, but it does probably mean
that it's for all intents and purposes debt. And also,
by the way, you may have a brand new governor
in twenty twenty seven, so when the final redesigned plan

(01:37:43):
is expected to be unveiled, you may have to submit
it to Governor Tom Tiffany and a Republican dot secretary
who says, we're doing.

Speaker 2 (01:37:56):
What to seven ninety four.

Speaker 7 (01:37:58):
Know.

Speaker 3 (01:37:58):
What we're going to do is keep it the same,
and we're just going to issue the most cost effective repairs.
President Trump closes out the twenty twenty six NATO summit
by warning about the same sort of spread of communism
and socialism that the Democratic Party is seeing across its
primaries and Wisconsin might see in its You're not gonna

(01:38:20):
want to miss with the President's sense, stay tuned.

Speaker 7 (01:38:25):
Or of that Dan o'donald Show, o'donald Show, Next Whole Story.

Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
Welcome back to the Dan o'donald's show, Classical Conservatism Contemporary Style.
We're gonna get the President Trump talking about the dangers
of communism while he was closing out the NATO summit today.
I have got to pass this along because it just
crossed my feed on X. I will forget about it

(01:39:13):
if I don't tell you folks right now. Dan Shaefer
is a relatively popular blogger, and I think up until
recently he was broadcasting with Civic Media. That's the big
liberal talk radio network that I think is unfortunately in
the process of completely collapsing. Who would have guessed that

(01:39:35):
far left radicals are not particularly good at running businesses.

Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
Not me.

Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
I thought they would have done great well. Schaefer, I think,
was briefly employed to do a radio show or whatever
with Civic Media, just to outside you know what we're
going back. He's got a very popular blog called the
Recombobulation Area. And I actually like Dan quite a bit
because even though he and I probably disagree on literally everything.

Speaker 2 (01:40:01):
He is a passionate guy.

Speaker 3 (01:40:02):
He's a very good writer, and he, unlike most people
on his ideological side, he actually does make compelling cases
for what it is that he's writing about. It's you know,
he just does a very good job, and I've got
a lot of respect for him. Uh, this is too funny.

(01:40:24):
He may have just accidentally proven that ranked choice voting
that Democrats love so much. You know, where you rank
all the candidates, and it's basically designed to try to
get left wingers into places they otherwise wouldn't be able
to get elected into. I think he may have just

(01:40:45):
accidentally proven that it can't work. So yesterday he on
his X feet he says, we are inviting you to
participate in a ranked choice voting experiment for the Democratic
primary for governor and with Gonson, let's recombobulate vote here.

Speaker 2 (01:41:03):
His his blog is called the Recombobulation Area.

Speaker 3 (01:41:05):
You know, like after the area in the airport where
after you you know, go through security, after you get discombobulated,
you recombobulated. It's a Milwaukee thing. I always had respect
to that. He called his blog the recombobulation Area because
it's like only somebody from Milwaukee will know what that means,
and people from Milwaukee will be like, yeah, that's awesome.

(01:41:26):
Like I would call I would call my blog the
Rattlesnake Button, and literally no one would have any idea,
but everybody who grew up in Milwaukee be like, hell, yeah,
I pushed that rattlesnake button. So he does a ranked
choice voting experiment. Well, just about three hours ago he

(01:41:49):
posted a sad update update, we're closing voting on this experiment.
For one, we have received far more responses than we
were anticipating, the sample size will be more than large enough.
And also Crowley ending his campaign changes the ballot. In
other words, it.

Speaker 14 (01:42:08):
Was too unwieldy to be able to do even for
a little fun experiment in seeing who would win a
ranked choice election for primary. Dan Schaefer, you beautiful, beautiful man.
You prove that there is no way, there is no

(01:42:30):
way that this can be done in an easy, cost effective,
transparent way anywhere and needs to be scrapped because I
can right now run a Twitter poll, who do you
want to be Governor?

Speaker 3 (01:42:48):
Sarah Rodriguez David Crowley. Let's see Missy Hughes Kelderoy's or
I don't know, Mandela Barnes. You'll notice I named two
candidates who are already off the ballot, in Crowley and Hughes.
If Crowley and Hughes get a lot of votes, you
know what happens. They are not included in the final results.

(01:43:11):
And chances are, since they have already dropped out, nobody's
going to vote for him. I can tell you instantly
who wins my poll if at Heartland Post we were
to put up. And I guarantee everybody's listening right now
because I just texted all of them. Oh my god,
Schaeffer just proved that rank choice voting doesn't work. And

(01:43:37):
they're all laughing, and I think most of them are
listening to me right now. If I said, all right,
we have a poll function that we can turn on
at Heartland Post and we can do, Hey, let's do
a poll of the Republican candidates for governor, Tom Tiffany
or that random weirdo who only shows up at the
Democratic debates, Andy something or other. Even put who do

(01:44:01):
you want to win the Republican nomination? Tom Tiffany, Random weirdo,
Tom Tiffany ninety nine percent random weirdo. One not one
percent one vote, it's it's just random weirdo. You would
have your results instantly. But because ranked choice voting is

(01:44:23):
inherently labyrinthine, impossible to understand, even more impossible to count
and to work in a timely process, even a small
little poll at a and I don't mean to mean
Dan's blog by saying a small little blog. I refer

(01:44:45):
to my radio show as a little radio show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
If it can't work for the number of votes you're
going to get in an online poll for a blog
in Milwaukee for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination where there are
only five candidates in the middle of summer when half
of the state is on vacation and probably not going

(01:45:07):
to vote in that. If you can't handle it, then
we probably shouldn't be trying to do it in actual election.
All right, we're gonna step aside for a break. I
had to pass that along because it is just too funny.
And folks, if you've been listening to me, I have
written probably twenty thousand words on how terrible ranked choice

(01:45:28):
voting is. I have done entire hours of this show
on how ranked choice voting is a unconstitutional and because
it removes one person, one vote, and b it just
is well. As I think our friend Dan Schaeffer found,
it just does not work. When we come back, President

(01:45:48):
Trump issues a dire warning about the rise of communism
across the Western world, and hopefully the Western world was listening.

Speaker 12 (01:46:01):
Wisn the next generation is here? You're listening to the
Dan o'donald show.

Speaker 3 (01:46:15):
President Trump is on his way back from Turkey.

Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
In fact, I think.

Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
Now Air Force one would not have landed already. He
is en route following the twenty twenty six NATO summit,
and he took a lot of questions from reporters, as
he always has with the end of session, end of
summit press conference. Well, he talked a lot about Iran,
and he talked a lot about his belief that the

(01:46:42):
ceasefire deal is over. He's done negotiating with these people
because he found out who they were and they just
cannot be trusted. They are just violent people who have
run this country for forty seven years and have never
been dealt with in the way that they need to
be dealt with. He dealt with the first wave of leadership,

(01:47:05):
the Iyatola comedy. He dealt with the second wave by
killing them all. He thought there would be some reasonable
people in the third wave. There apparently are, but there
are other factions. And this is the thing why it
has really been so difficult to get an agreement or
to get because there are rival factions.

Speaker 2 (01:47:25):
Nobody is quite sure.

Speaker 3 (01:47:26):
There's a power vacuum in Iran, and nobody is quite
sure who is actually going to win out and who
is actually speaking on behalf of the country. So it's very,
very difficult to actually negotiate. Well, it turns out the
crazies have won and now they may have to deal
with the consequence. That was obviously very important, But I

(01:47:47):
think what the most significant thing the President said was
was a two and a half minute warning about the
rise of communism in the West. This is an absolute
must listen.

Speaker 10 (01:48:04):
Look, I want to get the word out because what's
forming is that communism in the country. Communism's easy to sell.
I would be the greatest communist in history. I'd be
right up there with Lenin. I'd be as good as anyway.
You've got free rent for the rest of your life.
What they don't say is that you'll be living in
squalor in twelve months, you've got the free house. Would

(01:48:26):
anybody like to have a free house? We'll take it
away from somebody, We'll give it to you. You'll have
murders all over the place. Communism is a disaster. It's
been proven to be for thousands of years under different names,
but the same thing. It's very important, and you know,
it's funny. One of the reasons I do well so
well with Hispanic people. I set a record Republicans, I

(01:48:48):
get great numbers for the election, help me get elected
in a landslide the Hispanics because a lot of them
came from countries that were essentially communists. You know, whether
you call them radical socialists or communists is not that much,
but there is a little difference. When they say social
democrats were social democrats.

Speaker 6 (01:49:08):
It sounds so nice. It's not nice. It's a very
dangerous term.

Speaker 10 (01:49:12):
So I do talk about it, and I talk about
it on TikTok, and I talk about it everywhere. I
talk about it here, and you're right, it has become international.

Speaker 6 (01:49:19):
But it's never worked, and it's not going to work.

Speaker 10 (01:49:23):
What is working is the United States, to think of it,
we have more jobs than we've ever had. People are
making more money than they've ever made. I'm talking about
workers now, talking about workers. They're making higher salaries than
they've ever made before. It's just the best system, and
it's got flaws, but everything's going to have a little flaw,
but it's been amazing. And when I watch what's happening

(01:49:45):
and I see these low lives getting I mean they're
low lives.

Speaker 6 (01:49:48):
I watch them. I know good people, I know quality people.
These are essentially low lives.

Speaker 10 (01:49:53):
And when I see what they're talking, I think they're
very dangerous in many ways. And I've said it, and
then I said, boy, that's a pretty big statement. Then
I realize, you know, a couple of people said, I
think you're probably right. I think this country, with this
thing that's going around, is in more danger than it
was during World War One, World War two. If you

(01:50:14):
talk about September eleventh, if you talk about Pearl Harbor, that.

Speaker 6 (01:50:18):
Was big danger.

Speaker 10 (01:50:20):
I think this is I think the concept of us
going communist, because one thing that happens when you go communists,
you never come back, never comes back.

Speaker 6 (01:50:27):
You die in squalor.

Speaker 10 (01:50:28):
You die, you die a horrible death, you die in squalor.

Speaker 6 (01:50:32):
And it gets very evil and very nasty does.

Speaker 3 (01:50:38):
And when he says that the greatest threat we face
is this ideology gaining power in America, it is what
was the greatest threat to the United States's sovereignty from
about nineteen forty five, the end of World War Two
until nineteen ninety one. Obviously, the Soviet Union right Soviet

(01:51:01):
Premier Nikita Khrushchev might have said this, might not have it.
It's widely attributed to him. He said, we do not
have to invade the United States. We will destroy you
from within. We will take America without firing a shot.

(01:51:22):
He said, we don't need to have troops at every doorstep.
We just need to have enough people subscribe to our
ideology that you're going to, unfortunately feel the wrath of
our policies, feel the the squalor and murderous wrath of

(01:51:46):
revenge grievance politics that are the hallmark of this poisonous ideology.
Because Khrushchev predicted what's going on today, that we may
be at the president. At the same time, we stand
the precipice of perhaps the single greatest technological leap forward
since the Industrial Revolution, with artificial intelligence, advanced computing, the

(01:52:13):
exploration of space, the commercialization of space, satellite technology, advanced robotics,
infused with artificial intelligence, all of it. And yet the
country is perhaps on the verge of succumbing to an
ideology that Trump is right. It is dangerously intoxicating. He

(01:52:36):
would be the greatest socialist of all time if he
wasn't like the ultimate capitalist. How easily can you sell envy?
How easily can you weaponize jealousy? You say, this guy's
got too much, We're going to take it from him,
and we're going to give it to those less fortunate,
namely you. Now, clearly Americans don't believe in this. This

(01:53:04):
runs contra to everything that we just celebrated this weekend
on America's two fiftieth right.

Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Capitalism is an inextricable.

Speaker 3 (01:53:14):
Part of the American experiment because it is what provides
the freedom that we enjoy. It's not government. Government merely
ensures that we are able to live free. We actually
are the only people who really truly limit the power
of our founding document said, Look, government doesn't control us

(01:53:36):
because our rights come from God Almighty. The founding document
of our government structure, the Constitution. We open it up
with amendments in which we are closing up. We close
it up with amendments that say, yeah, yeah, here's what
government is, here's all the stuff government cannot do. And

(01:53:59):
in fact, the of the ten Amendments, known as the
Bill of Rights, it actually probably is the most important.
When people say what is your favorite amendment to everybody
always says the first because it's the only one that
they remember personally. I want to stand up for the
Third Amendment. I think the Third Amendments. I am not
going to quarter a soldier.

Speaker 2 (01:54:20):
In my house.

Speaker 3 (01:54:21):
Obviously revolutionary war times. The third Amendment deals with no
one can be compelled to quarter soldiers in their house,
like put up soldiers.

Speaker 2 (01:54:29):
In their house.

Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
No, it's the tenth Amendment that this is the most important,
because all powers not expressly delegated in the Constitution are
left to this several states or the people themselves.

Speaker 2 (01:54:41):
That is one of the most revolutionary.

Speaker 3 (01:54:45):
Statements declarations about limitation on government power.

Speaker 2 (01:54:50):
Ever.

Speaker 3 (01:54:54):
In order to actually live free, though, you need to
be free to earn for yourself a living and go
as far as your talent, hard work, dedication, intelligence will
take you. Yes, America actually is a place of radical
self reliance where you really can pull yourself up by

(01:55:17):
your bootstraps. I know that's become something of a joke
on the left, and that, by the way, is Soviet
socialist commie propaganda. The idea that you can't have a
better station in life tomorrow than you have today is laughable.
Of course you can in this country. But if you
take that ability away by promising somebody that they don't

(01:55:42):
have to work hard, all they have to do is
to vote for you, and you'll take from somebody who
did work hard and who did earn for themselves a
better living, and will give it to you. That's dangerous
because it is so easy. It's dangerous because it appeals

(01:56:03):
to the most base instincts of humanity. Laziness, envy, jealousy.
We're all guilty of it. Sometimes I don't want to
work hard on this show. I'll mail it in. Sometimes
I'm tired. Sometimes a beautiful day out, I'd rather be
at the beach. Everybody feels lazy. Sometimes am I jealous

(01:56:27):
of somebody else?

Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:56:30):
Of course, obviously everybody gets jealous. Everybody has those feelings.
Socialism weaponizes them for political power. Tomorrow, we are going
to do a big, big, big show on that very
topic and how it is infused with the debate over

(01:56:51):
mass migration and illegal immigration, and how the very soul
of this nation and all Western nations can be changed
by importing people who are far more susceptible to this
poisonous ideology than Americans. You're listening to the Dan o'donald show.

(01:57:29):
Just a couple of minutes left here on the Dan
O'Donnell's show. Yeah, tomorrow we are going to go in depth,
of course, if there is another big breaking news day
like there was today easily I think one of the
most significant news days I have ever seen, just in
terms of the sheer volume of huge stories you had.

(01:57:50):
Of course, Vice President J. D. Vance in town calling
out the governor and Milwaukee's mayor. Cavalier Johnson, by the way,
said in a statement he is going to be in Washington,
DC he September twenty first and wants to sit down
with Vice President Vans and said these are substantive issues.
They're not going to be just dealt with with a
flippant remark. That Vance did not make a flippant mark.

(01:58:11):
He gave an entire speech about how voter fraud is
a real thing and all sorts of fraud needs to
be investigated and rooted out.

Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
Chevy must not have been listening. So we had that.
We had Hannah Dugan getting.

Speaker 3 (01:58:25):
A slap, a tap on the wrist, just a five
thousand dollars fine, no jail time, no prison time, no probation,
no anything. We had David Crowley dropping out of the
governor's race. Subsequently, according to the Journal Sentinels, Molly Beck
endorsing Sarah Rodriguez, we had I seven ninety four. According
to Mayor Chevy needs to stay. He doesn't want to

(01:58:47):
see it torn down. We had, unfortunately, very sad news.
Paul Ferrell passed away following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was just sixty one years old, the current county executive,
former Republican Party of Wisconsin chairman. He was a state senator,
he was a state assemblyman. Just a very good guy.

(01:59:07):
I was proud to call him a friend. He passed away. Today,
very very busy news day. But tomorrow on the program,
we are going to get into the nexus of mass migration,
Democrat open borders, and the rise of socialism.

Speaker 2 (01:59:23):
You won't want to miss it.

Speaker 3 (01:59:24):
And it's coming up tomorrow here on the den O'Donnell's show,
