Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, Jay Weber, Do you miss me as part of
your morning I hope so, because this is the place
that the podcast can soon be found. We're shooting for
April seventh as our launch date, given that it's also
Spring election day, and there'll be a lot to talk
about in all sorts of things that need to be
analyzed through the prism of my common sense conservatism. I'm
envisioning this podcast as very similar to my morning show,

(00:21):
but I'm also hoping to crammel out into forty five
minutes or so, So think my morning show, maybe at
a faster pace, and hopefully with a few more thoughts
on lifestyle and culture thrown in. And don't worry, I'm
not going to go all Katie Kuric on you. It's
not going to be recipes and celebrities. It'll still be
the same great, unorthodox, honest analysis with some humor thrown

(00:42):
in that my listeners have come to know and love.
But we're living in very interesting times, and I believe
we're living through one of what could be one of
the most important historical transition periods in this country and
in this state. It's no time to waste time on
Hollywood chatter. Or plumb Cake. So I'm going to be
doing two new podcasts each week. And as it works out,
since Mark Belling, who's wys in his longtime afternoon Guy,

(01:04):
since he's launching year two of his very successful three
day a week venture, it makes sense for me to
provide contents to longtime wis and listeners and conservatives across
the country on those other two days, the other two
business days. So new versions of my podcast are going
to be posted every Tuesday and Friday. I hope I
can remember that, because I got to admit this little

(01:25):
stretch of retirement that I'm currently in is pretty great.
I recommend semi retirement if you can pull it off.
But two days a week Tuesday and Friday. And if
you subscribe now, you'll actually be notified every time a
new podcast posts. Then you can go to the iheartapp
ornews Talk eleven thirty dot com and listen to it
anytime you'd like. It's the beauty of the podcast. And
since iHeart managers have done all of the research over

(01:45):
the years, they tell me that forty minutes is the
perfect length of a podcast. It's about that long that
a podcast keeps most people's attention. So well, that's what
I intend to give them, give you about forty five
minutes of my best stuff, the topics of that day
and the last few days, as seen through my very
experienced filter. And I'm thinking the content of the show
will be roughly what the content of my radio show was.

(02:08):
Any news from southeastern Wisconsin, the US, the globe, anywhere,
anything I find interesting or have an opinion about, and
we'll have enough to talk about, certainly, that's for sure.
Holy cow, this Trump era is ripe for commentary, and
this is important stuff. In fact, the podcast form allows
me to be even more honest and blunt, if that's possible.
You know, several people have already asked me, are you

(02:28):
going to swear on your podcast because you can now
and you couldn't done the radio. Well, I'm not planning
on it. No, that's not the primary goal. But I
have to admit that if I get carried away and
let an expletive fly, now, I can just leave it
in if I want to, instead of scrapping the topic
or maybe even losing my job. So the absolute best
thing about this format, the best thing about my longtime

(02:49):
radio show, The absolute best thing about this podcast is
that I and the larger audience got to decide what
we're going to talk about. Now you can also decide
when you want to listen to it, and with far
fewer as there will be a few, but very few.
And a special thanks, by the way to creative planning,
the financial planners, and the co alls for stepping up
and being my primary sponsor already. Thank you so much.

(03:10):
To that point, if you're a business owner or CEO
who'd like to be one of what's going to be
a very elite and limited group of sponsors, feel free
to drop me an email and I can kick it
over to sales. My email is simply Jweber at iHeartMedia
dot com one b In Weber Jweber at iHeartMedia dot com.
And for the rest of you, thank you so much
for being loyal listeners to my radio program for so

(03:31):
many years. And please mark April seventh on your calendar.
April seventh, it's the day that Jayweber podcast debuts. If
you subscribe now, you'll get a notice to remind you
April seventh. Take care and we'll talk then.
