Is taking any probiotic better than taking nothing at all?Not everyone gets all the nutrients needed for optimum health. You have to choose quality supplements to get (and stay) healthy. Most folks define probiotics as friendly bacteria that helps with digestive health. This definition is not incorrect, but it lacks the nuance of quality and viability of the bacteria. Throwing bacteria into a food doesn’t automatically make it probiotic-infused. If the product is loaded with bacteria, the sugar feeds the unhealthy bacteria in your gut and defeats the purpose of taking a probiotic. Most probiotic supplements are produced by one manufacturer.
