You just got to get out there and swing and
ding it.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah, you know, just guess it's gonna go out there
and try to swing it and ding it.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
Welcome in to swing it and ding it. This is
Moose along with May's and Matthews, and we welcome Andrew Austin.
You're in my favorite one armed golfer.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Aka Jimmy the Kid. And before we get started, everybody
just check just make sure your.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Slops go on.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Make sure it's off before you go. Thank you. No,
we got that cleared up. What's going on, Andrew? How's
it going?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Man?
Speaker 6 (00:54):
Good man? Good man?
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Thank you guys for having me. I appreciate it. Excited
to be on.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Yeah, we have a lot to get into.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
We are, as you heard Philly Golf Podcast, so we
have a lot to talk about there.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
But we had to start with the Internet Invitational.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Obviously, something that just took on a life of its
own and just curious, you know how you got selected
to be in it, and then we can kind of
talk about some of the storylines and stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
But how did you get the invite to be there?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah? Yeah, So invite came from Frankie Barelli. So Frankie,
one of the guys on the four play pod with Barstool,
he didn't follow me, or at least not to my knowledge,
hit me up on Instagram, just kind of a DM
request and said, Hey, Andrew, I'd love to formally invite you.
And I remember I was walking my dog at the
(01:44):
time with my girlfriend and I was in shock, like
I didn't know if it was real.
Speaker 6 (01:48):
It was the weirdest feeling I've ever had.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
In my body of like excitement but also not trying
to bring my hopes up too high. And then probably
about a month later, got an email from one of
their events coordinators asking for an address a questionnaire, and
then it became kind of more and more real. The
kind of plaque came in in the mail and then
next thing I knew, I was out in Big Cedar
and it was it was wild but kind of blue.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Yeah, I don't know that were like vying to get
in it right, had a huge name is Hue, celebrities
that were like trying to put themselves out there, like
get me into this thing, right, Like exactly right.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
I think that's why I kind of felt like I
wasn't trying to get my hopes up too high, even
though it Frankie messaged me himself. But yeah, to your point, like,
there were tons and tons of golf creators out there
that deserved an invite, and I was lucky to be
there and grateful to be there and was happy I
could hit some good shots, not all the good shots
that I wanted, but very very cool experience for sure.
Speaker 7 (02:48):
So after that questionnaire, like what happened, Like, tell us
a little bit more of the story, Like how it
you know, meeting all the guys getting there, you know
that the whole story.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yeah, yeah, and meeting all the guys and ladies was awesome.
I had never met It's funny the one guy who
like blew up.
Speaker 6 (03:04):
The most chassy.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
He was the one guy who I knew going in
because me and him play on the same adaptive golf tournament.
Speaker 6 (03:12):
Yeah yeah he did.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, yeah, so I had known him previously, but hadn't
met any of the other guys, like talk to a
few of them via Instagram dms as well, but went
out there and definitely day one I was I'm like,
I'm not quiet.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
But in a new setting, new people.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I definitely was kind of a little bit in the background,
like wasn't sure who to talk to and who I'd
fit in with the most, so I was kind of
just like feeling it out. When the draft was going along,
I was just in the background, like, hey.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
Put me with whoever, I'll go win a point for us.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
But it was really cool, and then slowly kind of
got to know some people, and really everybody was super,
super nice and cool. It's like you never know what
to expect when you go into those types of rooms,
but everybody was super genuine and nice people, and I
made some good connections that we've stayed connected after the fact.
But definitely crazy night one, and then as as I
(04:10):
was there, I kind of settled in a little bit
from the social side of things.
Speaker 8 (04:14):
So did you ever find out how they found you
or like who tipped them off to you?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
No, My friends all joked they're like, who the hell
did they hire? Because they hired some good people. I
don't know if it was a video, Like I remember
there was one video that did pretty well the week
that I got the invite, so I wasn't sure if
it was that. I always meant to ask Frankie, but
then we were playing each other in a match and
he was kicking my ass, so maybe it's not the
(04:41):
right time.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Is that the coolest thing you've played in thus far? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
I think from yes, coolest thing I've played in this year.
I also played in the US Adaptive Open for the
first time, which was like, that's a whole different experience
and an honor to be a part of it qualifying,
But the Internet invitation was very surreal, like out of
forty eight creators, I was forty eighth on that list,
(05:05):
like least known, least amount of followers. So definitely the
coolest golf experience.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
You were in TIERC, so they knew you, They at
least had you.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
You might have been forty eight you were when you
were taking part of it.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Could you get any sense of how big it actually
was going to be? Because I don't think, you know,
I think it'd be hard for anyone to realize.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, I think that you you kind of nailed it
on the head, like everybody was, especially the golf, Like
the golf was crazy, and I think everybody there was like, Okay,
that was as wild as it could have been, Like
you couldn't have written it any better. I think nobody
expected like the millions and millions of views that it got,
(05:48):
and like the celebrities and people shouting it out and
commenting it. It definitely like became this huge phenomenon. I
think everybody knew in the moment like they had something really,
but I'm not sure if they.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Expected it to be especially you know, I remember looking
at the first episode, so it's like three hours and
forty eight minutes.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
I'm like, Jesus got well, I watched every second of.
Speaker 7 (06:12):
At first, you're like there's no way I don't have
this time, and then it's just like you get sucked
in and you're like, wait, how do I get those
four hours?
Speaker 6 (06:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Even non YouTube golf fans like my parents, my friends
who are not golfers, like my dad is, but I
get calls every day once a week like just no, hello,
just immediately going into asking questions. It's like since when
did you watch YouTube golf? And they all said the same.
It's like they just they watched a little bit and
we're fully, fully ready to go for the rest of
(06:44):
it and watch the whole four hours every every day
came out.
Speaker 7 (06:47):
Well, I'm gonna pretend I'm like one of your friends
calling you asking me more questions, because I need to
know more that there has to be some type of
story that didn't make that cut, didn't get edited out.
Maybe you have a personal story that didn't make it
to tape. Give us something that you know, we maybe
didn't catch.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
On the catch in the twenty seven hours.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
Of Yeah, yeah, no, that's a great question.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
I actually I made a video a couple of weeks ago,
just like a quick short video on Instagram. But funny,
before the tournament even started, I showed up and, like
I said, kind of like was quiet, like wasn't sure
really where I was fitting in, pulled up check in like, hey,
I'm Andrew Austin. They're like, all right, great, Andrew, you
(07:28):
your room's right down this way. And I remember hearing
kind of the Good Good crew talking about the cottages
and being in the cottage, and I had gotten an
email previously that I was in. It's called Angler's lodge.
So they shuttled me down to this like beautiful cottage,
like solo cottage, and in my head, I'm like, there's
(07:48):
no way this is my room. But same thing with
the invite. I'm like, okay, I guess it is. I'm
filming it. I'm on FaceTime with my brother. And when
you go to Big Cedar, they give you this book
that says presented to whatever your name is.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
And I'm like filming the room for my brother.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
And as I panned to the book, I'm like, oh
my god, it says Andrew Santino. So they put me
in the wrong room. So I called and they're like,
oh my gosh, so sorry. So they shuttled me to
the right room. But I just joked. I called my
brother back and was like, so clearly I'm Andrew number
two in this list of Andrews. But yeah, before anything
(08:26):
it even started, it was just a humbling moment from
the jump, but pretty pretty funny, and I thought it'd
be a good icebreaker for Andrew Santino and I he's
a funny dude.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Oh yeah, good stuff.
Speaker 8 (08:39):
Well, tell us about your golf journey, Like how did
you how did you get into golf? Because you played
baseball as a young kid, and I believe basketball too.
What was the Were those the first sports? And if so,
how did you eventually get to golf?
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Yeah? Yeah, so played kind of all the sports growing up, Baseball, basketball, soccer.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
I played it.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
And my brother, he's a year younger than me, he
was always very big in golf.
Speaker 6 (09:05):
And my parents were members at St.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
David's Golf Club, which is like twenty five minutes outside
of Philadelphia, great little track, and I was lucky that
our parents were members so I could go over there occasionally.
They had a really good junior golf program, and like
I said, my younger brother played a lot and was
fairly good. And I'm one of five, so it's always competitive.
You know, you don't want your younger brother to be
(09:28):
it better than you had a any sports. So I
played here and there, but eighth grade, seventh grade, went
to the Big Diamond for baseball, got a prosthetic for hitting,
and it helped so much with hitting that my dad
was like, hey, why don't you just try one.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
Out for golf?
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Like I just played one handed up until that point,
got one for golf and same thing. I like, immediately
felt better I was still kind of hitting it all
over the place and played here and there again, and
then COVID twenty twenty is really when I got like
fully involved into it, started doing social media, and then
(10:04):
found the Adaptive Golf Tour. So since kind of like
twenty twenty two is when I've been full steam ahead
competing in adaptive golf events. I'd say I'd like been
around the sport kind of growing up, but twenty twenty
is when it was like full go for me.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Yeah, I mean it's amazing, right for people that don't know,
or you know, or listening for the first time obviously,
you know, it's funny. I was watching some of your
videos today and you're on the range and I think
it was a VA doctor comes up to you and like,
of all of all, right, of all people to come
up to you, and his first thought is probably like,
oh that this you know, happened in service service, but
(10:42):
it was, it was from birth. Yeah, And I'm sure
like the technology of the of the prosthetics and the
thing you're dealing, you know, the stuff you have access
to is I'm guessing it's improved, you know, as as
the years have gone by too.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh my gosh. The technology is insane.
And I think a lot of us, you know, we're comfortable.
It's like, once we figure out how to do something,
you get very comfortable in that and don't necessarily want
to change it. But I think and I think that's
how I felt until I got the prosthetic for golf,
and then it's like, wow, you know, it takes a
(11:17):
little bit of time to get used to. But as
the technology improves, I think more and more people kind
of see the benefit and in that, and some people
like need the prosthetics, other people don't, So it's interesting
to see kind of who uses them who doesn't, specifically
in like the ARM category. But it really is amazing,
like as the years progress, the the access that people
(11:40):
have and kind of the the tools and resources that are.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
And I'm sure you know when you're at these events too,
it's like, you know, if the pros are at an event,
they're you know, looking at different putters and stuff.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Right, I'm sure you guys are like, what are you
working with these data?
Speaker 9 (11:54):
What do you hear?
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:58):
A lot of sharing of information at this point, right,
which is also percent.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Yeah, the ARM I mean, I get more messages about
like where did you get your specific attachment than anything else, Like,
and that's the cool part about the community and doing
it is helping people and all of us are really
just trying to get better.
Speaker 8 (12:15):
Now, you play left handed, and I mean you're left
handed and everything. It's like growing up you didn't have
the right hand, but you play golf with the real
with the lead arm being the prosthetic or the you know.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah that I'm thinking like it would pay.
Speaker 9 (12:31):
The friends say it's an advantage.
Speaker 6 (12:34):
Advantage. Yeah, no, I wish it's I do say.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
I mean it's like if golf, like you have to
simplify it, and if you look at it that way,
it's like it does simplify a little bit in the
sense of I don't have a front arm.
Speaker 6 (12:50):
I still tell people it's like I'm still playing golf
with one arm. So it's not like it's it's an
advantage to right.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
Level people are like out to advantage like, okay, exactly right.
Speaker 6 (13:00):
But playing baseball, I always swung lefty.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
When I snowboarded and wakeboarded, I would always ride goofy
with my right foot forward, So that lefty stance just
always felt natural to me.
Speaker 6 (13:11):
But being born with it.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
It's like I never really knew I kicked with my
right foot in soccer, so I could have been righty
and it's all I ever knew and had, so you
just figure it out.
Speaker 6 (13:23):
But yeah, pretty wild. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Most one armed golfers who have their left will be
writing and have that front arm, and they hit the
crap out of the ball like I hit it, not
as far as some of those dudes. I swing a
little bit softer, more compact, but they can they can
rip it.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
Some of those guys for sure.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Well with baseball, you got to be like Jim Abbott. Yeah,
I mean that was one of the.
Speaker 8 (13:50):
Most amazing things I've ever seen when I first saw
that guy pitch in the major leagues and I saw
a story on your Instagram. You described a situation in
the fifth grade where they sent the first.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Three guys of the order up there and the coach
is like, well, well we'll bun he can't field, and
you got them all out.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
No, that's that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah. No, those are the stories that I love because
it's it's. Yeah, something that gets me up in the morning,
is that like proving somebody wrong, and it's funny. It's
like I coach seventh grade baseball and basketball, and it's
like coaches would never do that these days, like coaches
back when I was a kid. It's you know, there
was no boundaries, no mercy. But I like that stuff,
(14:33):
you know. It's like for me, yeah, it's I've always
had my shoulder and and that kind of like feeds
that chip and it fuels the fire.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
For sure.
Speaker 7 (14:43):
Has there been a moment like that for you in
golf where you know that kind of three up, three
down that that you did in that situation in fifth
grade that's happened in golf that might have been similar.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
I think it's it's more so just kind of golf
is a game where you go out, and especially when
he play as a single, it's like you meet new
people all the time. You play with new people, and
it's amazing to see not kind of out of the
fault of anybody else, but like just the immediate assumption
of like not thinking this person can really play any
(15:17):
golf and it's the first t shot, they're like, whoa, no, yeah,
so you.
Speaker 9 (15:23):
Negotiate strokes ahead of the round, right.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
Yes, exactly. Yes, there's a lot of hustling out there.
Speaker 8 (15:29):
Yeah, we got stuck with this Rando on the first
tea and then all of a sudden you smoke it, right.
Speaker 9 (15:34):
Yeah, five hundred dollars last year.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
While yeah, yeah, yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (15:40):
We want to talk about you know, some of the
the you know, the gap events and and you know
the other adaptive events. But back to the internet invitation,
because each match to me was like its own could
have been its own series, and I just want to
talk to you about some of the pairings. Right, you
start out, you were you were on Team Rigs in
the beginning. You start out against against Whitney, who turned
into like the character right, started started out a little
(16:02):
bit slow, you know, obviously you could talk about talk
about that match, and then you then you play with
Golfing Jesus and Brad Dalky all of a sudden so
like ye and you got to play against Fat Perez
and Mason Nutt, and then obviously you're paired up with
the Duke, which we could probably do four episodes just
on that pairing. And then eventually you know, losing to
the to the wait did you win the match against
(16:24):
print No Francis and obviously Rank who went on to
win it, but just talk about some of the experiences
with some of those partners or maybe pairings and and
you know how how that kind of one went down.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Yeah, yeah, so day one, like you said, it was
me and Michael Morris versus Ryan Whitney and Jake Adams
and Whitney, like I've always watched, like I've been a
big barstool fan, and I know like his kind of
his chirping and his personality, so I was excited for it.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
Like I also knew that.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
I am very just like Smiley, like, hey, great show,
and I could totally tell he's like, God, I can't
even be mean to this guy, but he and he
was playing well, so he didn't even need to.
Speaker 6 (17:07):
But yeah, the first round definitely some nerves. I think.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Me and my partner didn't play great like together, and
Whitney and.
Speaker 6 (17:17):
Jake played great and they got I think they beat
us three and two.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
But it was a great, great first day. And again
it's like get the jitters out, shake it. Got to
meet all those guys. Really cool, a lot of fun.
Whitney was you could tell, like in the broadcast, like
he was going after my partner a little bit. So
at least I didn't have that pressure on me. But yeah, yeah,
he was great. Jake Adams, his partner, was also super cool.
(17:42):
He does country club adjacent which they do kind of
like they do some golf comedy stuff which is nice.
And then round two Dalky golfing Jesus, like you said,
al shot, like I did not have anything more than
a wedge in my He was dial man, he was died.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
He was absolutely dialed.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
And him being so good it like allows you to
play good because wherever you put it it, we're gonna
be Okay.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
Dude's got liked by four arms too, right, Yeah, like
a dude his arms are just giant.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
Giant and great teammate, great guy.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
I think uh FP and Mason Nutt going in just
because they didn't know who I was probably thought that
was like the one opportunity to get any slipper of
hope against Brad, So that was pretty cool to beat
them good. Like I think it was three and two.
The Duke absolute legend. I mean, he's, like you said,
four hours isn't enough.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
Some people in the.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
It's funny in the comments it's like I couldn't stand
that guy. I'm like I could listen to that guy
all day. I don't have to talk. I just just
laugh my ass off, and that stuff is fun. It's
like he loosened me up. And then I played pretty
well that round, and that was when the Skins came in,
so we won twenty four grand as a team, which
he just kept talking about how many cigarettes which he
(19:01):
was gonna buy and saving the Orange kittens from like
the Orange County Animal Shelter or something.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
One of a kind man one of one.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
And then yeah, the fourth round definitely the most pressure
all the barstool guys, Me and Riggs versus Francis and Frankie,
which they both ended up in the final. Francis really
really good golfer.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
I don't think anybody necessarily knew that before invitational, and
Frankie played really well and they kicked our butts and
I stumped it up that round.
Speaker 6 (19:34):
I didn't help Riggs out at all.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
But it was good.
Speaker 6 (19:37):
I mean, two and two five hundred.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
He can't be made man, you made it really deep.
Speaker 6 (19:42):
Day two.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
It felt like everybody was a winner because you came
home with some cash. So that was huge but seriously
so cool, and I was probably one of the few
that played with a different person in each four rounds.
That was cool, Like I was able to make connections
with the people I was playing with and then the
people I was playing against too. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
Yeah, the connection to everything, that's going to be wild.
How many followers have you gained since?
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Probably like close on Instagram, like close to twenty wow,
which is up. Ticktok, yeah, TikTok. Probably like ten fifteen.
Instagram is a big one. And Instagram's kind of like
if I'm growing there, I feel good.
Speaker 9 (20:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
And YouTube as well. I'm kind of at like three point.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Four subscribers on there, which I haven't posted any like
long form, so very big for the followers.
Speaker 9 (20:30):
YouTube, what's that? Yeah, that's incredible. That's amazing.
Speaker 7 (20:34):
Well, we could talk about the Internet Invitational all day long,
like mus said, But I was creeping on your socials
and I saw that you played jay Dune, so I'm
I don't know if the guys told you. I'm originally
from that area, but I'm down here in South Florida now,
so Jupiter Dunes.
Speaker 9 (20:47):
Every Super Bowl Sunday we go there.
Speaker 7 (20:49):
As I've gotten a little older, we don't play by
the same rules like if it's bob to a shot
now or else I'd be dead. But we played at
Part three course all the time. So I saw you
were there. What's your take on that little Part three?
Speaker 6 (20:59):
It's very very very cool.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Yeah. I had never spent any time in Jupiter ever,
Like I've not played enough golf in Florida, spend enough
time in Florida.
Speaker 6 (21:08):
And I was down there for the TGL.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
I was doing some stuff with Boston Common Golf and
then kind of in between some guy Sonny Collette who
does Instagram stuff, he was down there as well and
just was like, Hey, let's go play this little Part
three and then got a bunch of people hit me
off like that place is awesome, it's the best.
Speaker 7 (21:26):
It's like, these guys are coming down in like a
month or two, and I was like, I need to
add that to the rotation because I was like, all right,
I'm going to get them on like these solid courses
and we're going to play that. But I was like,
you forget about yeah, And it's like a block and
a half from the beach. It's like there, you know,
it feels like it's kind of somebody's backyard. You can
just literally pull like four clubs out of your bag
(21:47):
and roll around. It's it's just a sweet spot, it
really is.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
Yeah, all all those courses down there.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
I spent some time at the park around that little
short coat.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
The chipping area is so so cool, so cool.
Speaker 7 (22:00):
Unless you're heading off of that artificial terf water logged
and I'm like, can.
Speaker 9 (22:06):
I handle the grass?
Speaker 8 (22:08):
What did you think of those golf courses like Pains Valley,
the out of Big Seed or where they are?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
They as good as they look on TV?
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (22:15):
Oh my god, they were.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Yeah, if you can take a golf trip with with
your friends, that is the place to be. It's like
Disney World, is what I kept saying all of the courses,
and Pains is like the most playable for anyone, Ozark National,
the one we didn't play, and then Buffalo Ridge, which
we played day two. Those ones are like you got
to hit some golf shots for sure. Pains is obviously
(22:38):
of course still got to hit some shots.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
But a little bit more scorable, but all.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Unbelievable tracks and like different views, and then the part
three's were unbelievable.
Speaker 6 (22:48):
But hopefully hopefully I'll be back there.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
Special place. So what's what do you have?
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Lined up.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
We know that you know the US Adaptive Open was
was was big, right, we know you played in the
GAP event. How are you setting up twenty twenty six?
What do you have circle? What's what's the year looking
like for you?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yeah, So trying to play in more and more adaptive events.
So as kind of the adaptive sport of golf grows,
there are more events, and then kind of as there
are more events, there are more like highlighted events, elevated events.
Speaker 6 (23:19):
I guess you could say US Adaptive Open being one.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
There's one down at Port Saint Lucie in Florida, the
US DGA very cool at PGA Village. There's what there
essentially is like four major ish and then a bunch
of other events like GAP for example, which is not
necessarily like one of those majors, but a very very
good event and they run it well. So try and
(23:46):
travel out to some of those like this Sundamn, I'm
flying out to Arizona to play in the AZ Adaptive Open.
And then kind of beyond adaptive golf and playing more
in that is, trying to break more into the creator world,
do some more like long form YouTube stuff and kind
of use the connections that I made at the invitational
(24:07):
to do some collapse. But the hope is to make
this golf creator thing like a full time gig. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Do you shoot all your content yourself? Trypods, you have
people help you? You make your girlfriend film you what
is it?
Speaker 6 (24:22):
No, it's it's pretty much all me.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Like when she's out there, she'll she'll help, but I
kind of do it all film, edit, post, respond to emails.
So I'm coming to a point where it feels like
I don't know if it's an agent or a manager
and then like formalizing some type of LLC. But it
feels like the business side of it is what I
really need to hone in on, which I know I
(24:46):
can do like the golf stuff, it's the business stuff
that feels a little bit scarier. But yeah, right now
all myself and it's been it's been working, but it
feels like I kind of need to take a step up.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
You know.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
That's what I was going to ask you if you
had an agent, but obviously don't, but you're gonna need one.
Speaker 6 (25:05):
Yes, that's everyone keeps telling me. I'm like, there, do
you get them?
Speaker 3 (25:08):
They're like they'll find you.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Yeah, Danielle knows, do you have sponsors and everything?
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Kind of So right now I'm working or talking to
a couple of different club deal erres to go through
like an annual partnership to say like, hey, this would
be like an annual stipend and then it would help
allow me to travel to these events and then through
the travel, I of course would like document all of it,
and their brand would be integrated throughout.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
But it's a lot of.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
Like one off you know, I'll get paid for like
a video or a lot of ambassador deals where I'll
get closed. Like Brad he kind of sent me a
lot of good, good stuff, which was awesome, But it's
not like I get paid or anything. But that's why
I feel like it's that next step is formalizing it.
And yeah, I feel like I'm definitely losing out on
some money, but it also feels like I'm not forcing
(25:59):
any thing yet. But yeah, not a whole lot of
partners so open for a free agent pretty much.
Speaker 5 (26:05):
All right, Well, we saw a lot of renovation going
on at the old home course at Saint David's. I
also saw you got out of Jeffersonville, look like over Thanksgiving.
Let's talk to us about your Saint David's experience and
what you're excited about with you know, some of the
changes that have happened there.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Yeah, Saint David's. I mean I grew up like golf.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
I learned golf at Saint David's and the membership they've
been huge supporters of me and and kind of up
through I aged out of the junior membership, I was
always there, Like when I moved back home after school,
I was playing all the time, and the membership is
is just some of the best. Like I think what's
cool about Saint Davids is it's golf and pretty much
(26:45):
only golf, Like that's all people are.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
Speaking Harry Mays's language. He was still in all pools.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Ye wall pools should be short game areas.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
That's yeah, that's a great point. But yeah, So Saint
David's been awesome. They always I mentioned it earlier, but
we're very focused on like the junior golf program and
making sure juniors were able to play. So going back
there is always a treat and the course just kind
of driving in like it's almost going to be a
brand new course. Of course, it'll look the same in
(27:17):
some areas, but I think for the membership, like they
should be excited. They get a new experience and it's
fun right here.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Yeah yeah, oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:28):
Donald Ross.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
I think they found some old drawings in some basement
and they're kind of restoring back to some of those
old old ideas.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
But it's going to be amazing.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
It always was amazing, but very excited to see those changes.
And then Jeffersonville, I mean I played it before they
put all the money in, and then seeing the change,
it's yeah, oh my god.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
For forty five bucks. It's like I didn't want to
anywhere else.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
But that's a Donald Ross too.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Yeah yeah, yeh, yep.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (27:55):
Well tell me tell us about the GAP event that
you had this past year up at look Away and
Doylestown Country Club.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Yeah, how cool that was.
Speaker 8 (28:03):
And and if you know, you've got to be an
inspiration to so many people, give us, give us a
just a story of you know, maybe somebody that wrote
you or came up to you and just said, hey,
I saw you playing golf and you know you inspired
me to do, you know, do something athletically.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. GAP event always awesome. It's it's like
the hometown event for me. So last year is at
look Away and Doylestown, and then this year it was
at Indian.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Valley, like that place yeo, yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
And I I played so bad on the first day,
I like played myself out of it and then played
pretty good day two and came up short by one shot.
Speaker 6 (28:40):
And it's like, it's funny. I feel like a kid again.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
I'm like, gosh, I just want to win a trophy,
like I want a trophy.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
I don't care about money. I don't care about it.
I just want a trophy.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
But always super fun going to the GAP events and
a lot of those, A lot of the GAP employees
I have met. I a couple of them I grew
up with, so I always staying connected and doing what
I can to be there for them is always something
I'm trying to do. And then kind of through the
events to your question the second question, A lot of
(29:13):
cool a lot of cool stories that have come out
of it. I always tell people, like when I go
to those events, I think why I like them so
much is I was just born like this, So I
say I have it easy, Like I find inspiration from
those people like who've lived twenty thirty forty years and
then lose a limb or whatever the story is. It's
typically I always think of it as that as a
(29:34):
harder life than mine. So that's why I enjoy it
so much, is getting the inspiration at those events and
then doing my part in trying to show others that
inspiration and hope. And I'll get messages all the time.
The one that comes to mind immediately this mother. She
messaged me a couple months ago and she said, hey, like,
(29:54):
I've been following your content for some time. Me and
my husband are having our first baby and we were
just told that he's going to be born kind of
with the same type of arm as you, and she
was just kind of asking me all these questions and
it was cool to feel, you know, like I could
play some part in helping that. And then fast forward,
(30:15):
I think it was last week, two weeks ago, she
sent me a couple of pictures and she's like, hey,
he was just born and.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
You're the father.
Speaker 10 (30:21):
No me, Yeah, try to set up some some golf
up north.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
I think they live in like the Boston area.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
But a lot of stories like that where you know
it's somebody connected to someone who's like me or somewhat
like me, and whether it's asking questions, asking for information
on like resources. That's why I do it, is to
get those messages and help inspire who I can.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
You could just picture too, write those those parents just
like feel in that comfort of knowing, like you know,
just finding you right and seeing your story it must
just give and giving them so much comfort in knowing
what the future could be like, it's awesome.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
I think that that's exactly right. It's like just for
kids too. It's once you see somebody who looks like
you doing something like that, it's like, well, I could
do it too.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
And that's that's what's so amazing about adaptive Golf and
the growth and this social media is there's more of
us doing it, and you can see there's more and
more kids coming out to these events and it's all
kind of like snowballing up the hill where we want
to go, which is pretty awesome.
Speaker 7 (31:29):
Well, that's awesome. I'm sure you have a ton of fans.
You got three right here, and all of our listeners
as well. It's been so cool following your story. We
never let anybody get off this podcast though without me asking,
especially guys local from the area. The hard hitting question
of and you can't pick your home course, what is
your favorite Philadelphia course that you've ever played?
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Favorite Philadelphia Welphia area, right, So yeah, no, that's that's
a great question. So yeah, well not including Saint David's.
From my Saint David's there, I have never I've played
Marion West, I never played East, so I can't say
Marion too. Yeah, unfortunately, but best course it will probably
(32:14):
have to be.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
I just played it when I was home. I forget
what I was home for.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
But Francis Ellis actually invited me out to Philly Cricket Crunk, Yeah,
and we played the Wista Hicken course, so where they
had the truest.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
We played it from the back teas and like, what
are we doing here?
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (32:32):
Barbari Yards, Yeah yeah.
Speaker 9 (32:35):
And how much damn are you doing that pro shop?
Speaker 7 (32:37):
Then?
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Oh my gosh, yeah yeah, fair bit and the two
guys who we were out with. It was funny because
I messaged Francis I saw he was going to be
in the Philly area for some shows and just asked
I wanted to play some golf, and then he invited
me and the two guys out there like, oh yeah,
we don't know Francis at all. We just hit him
up on Instagram and said, hey, do you want to
come out? So America's Guest, as I mentioned, Yeah, yeah,
(32:59):
Philly Break it definitely such.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
A special place for sure.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
Well, next time you're up, I'm at Legacy Club over
in Cherry Hill.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
Harry's a nineteen twelve, So we'll have to uh, I'll
have to.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
Get out and play some golf for sure. Keep that
America's Guest going for as long as you can.
Speaker 9 (33:13):
When you're down here in Jupiter again too.
Speaker 6 (33:16):
Yeah, yeah, I'll actually be.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
I think the plan is to be a lot of
those TGL events this year really yeah yeah, which is
kind of like Palm Beach Gardens a little north of it.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
That's perfect.
Speaker 9 (33:28):
Yeah yeah, so we'll connect offline for sure.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
What were you saying about nineteen twelve? You know some
guys over there.
Speaker 6 (33:34):
There's I think there's a there's a couple of gap.
There are employees over.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
There, Yeah there are yeah, yeah, okay, I remember.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
I was talking to a few. One of them might
have won the club championship or game close to it.
Speaker 8 (33:46):
Yeah, came close, yeah, yeah, I think yeah, yeah, oh, thank.
Speaker 6 (33:52):
You guys so much.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Man, No, thank you for coming on. Definitely, we'll stay
in touch.
Speaker 5 (33:56):
We'll get up, we'll get your get your address to
we'll get your Philly golf swing and take it and
you're down in Charleston.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
But Dalton actually did win the club championship a couple
of years.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, lucky you say that, Harry, you would
have got in trouble man, So.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Panic Google search, Google search.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
I'm gonna find that on Google.
Speaker 6 (34:20):
He's a player.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Oh he is. I've played with him a few times.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Yeah, I will make sure you're following Jimmy the Kid
and uh.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Andrew Austin, thank you so much for joining us.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Man.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
We'll hopefully get together down the line. If not, we'll
be watching and rooting for you.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Definitely, thank you guys again for having me on. It's
been a pleasure and I look forward to listening.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Thank God it all.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
Let's take a quick break and we'll be right back.
All right, great stuff, awesome talking to Andrew Austin, Philly guy.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
St.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
David's incredible experience that he got out there and he
went deep man, he went uh, he went right to
right to the end until the final group played some
really good golf and it's just so cool to watch.
And like when you watch that and you hear people
talking about him and just like amazed by it, and
you know, just him telling some of the stories of
(35:11):
inspiring people, it's awesome. And I mean, this just seems
like a dude that just never saw it any other way.
Then I'm just doing everything like to the best.
Speaker 9 (35:18):
My buility and love.
Speaker 7 (35:19):
Like you can't let your younger brother be better at
you than sports, you know what I mean. Like, I'm
one of five kids, so like I felt that one
I was like I felt the same way, Like, you know,
my brother and I we both were doing martial arts.
I'm like, I have to be a higher ranked belt
than him, Like you know what I mean, just that
sibling rivalry rivalry is pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
Yeah, good dude, We'll be watching Danielle start us off
with some tea and we'll see where it takes us.
Speaker 9 (35:43):
You got it, all right, Let's start it off with Akshay. So,
he made a big move. He hired a new full
time caddie.
Speaker 7 (35:50):
I don't know if you guys are recognized the name,
but Joe Grinder, Max Homes longtime guy. So six wins
with hom a one with jt now Akshay scooped him up.
So they're debuting as a team this week at the
Hero World Challenge and it looks like the partnerships locked
in for twenty twenty six probably, so I feel like
that's a pretty strong move for auction.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
And he seems to play well near near oceans.
Speaker 9 (36:12):
Well, you say, palm trees right everywhere there's that's a win.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
He did win with the fiance now maybe wife on
the bag.
Speaker 9 (36:20):
That was in the Bahamas.
Speaker 7 (36:21):
But then he also maybe it is just tall trees
because he won in Tahoe too, so maybe it's just being.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Outside being auction nice locations.
Speaker 9 (36:31):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 7 (36:33):
Well Andrew mentioned TGL, and you know this is a
Philly show, so we're going to keep it there. Gil
Hans joins TGL, so TGL season two unveiled their new
virtual holes and Philly's own Gill Hans you know wing Foot,
La Country, com Battle Straw.
Speaker 9 (36:49):
Aronomic and now computer golf.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
So his first design is a five hundred and ninety
yard par five called Stone and Steeple.
Speaker 9 (36:58):
Tilling has vibe but kind.
Speaker 7 (37:01):
Of cool that you know, golf's most iconic architect is
getting involved kind of in this tech side. We'll see
if that kind of switches anything up for tgl and
And it's funny.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Then you see all the stuff like, oh, it's so boring.
He has all this stuff and that's what he designs.
But then when they had like weird looking holes, people
are like these aren't even holes.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
The golfers would play like they shouldn't them, like you
just can't win. You can't win on the internet, right.
Speaker 7 (37:23):
It's pretty funny that they had him like walking out
like I don't know if you guys saw that. I
mean I think it's yeah, it's enterdating, it's something else
and uh, you know, a little Philly ties will take it.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (37:36):
So PGA Tour Player of the Year nominees dropped.
Speaker 9 (37:40):
The voting is open. The list of stacked.
Speaker 7 (37:42):
But before I go through and reveal the official nominees,
maybe you guys have seen maybe you haven't, but Harry
and Moose, who would your pick be for.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Player of the Year Player.
Speaker 9 (37:51):
Of the Year?
Speaker 8 (37:52):
Rors Uh, I gotta go with Scottie.
Speaker 9 (37:58):
Well, here's the quick rundown. Point out a couple of points.
Speaker 7 (38:00):
So Scheffler six wins two majors, did not miss a cut,
seventeen top tens, best scoring average on tour.
Speaker 8 (38:09):
Yeah, he's pretty good.
Speaker 9 (38:11):
Bad Rory.
Speaker 7 (38:14):
Three wins including the Masters for the career Grand Slam,
eight top tens, number two in the world. This guy,
we've been talking about him, you know, he's just been
on an upward spiral ever since Harry took a selfie
with him. Tommy Fleetwood FedEx Cup champion, win at the
Tour Championship and eight top tens. Another name that Harry
(38:34):
will relentlessly text me until I get him on the
show after he gets married. This week, Ben Griffin, most
underrated year on tour. Three wins, twelve top tens.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
Yeah, still with your choices. Yeah, unfortunately he has a
shot against these other two guys.
Speaker 9 (38:52):
No, no, all right. And then also we have Rookie
of the Year.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
So you think, Daniel, you get to break the tie.
Speaker 7 (39:02):
I mean when you just I'm one of those people
who thinks that it should go with what's deserved and
what's on paper, and if it's on paper, it's Scottie.
I mean, he didn't miss a cut, he didn't miss
How is he not? How is somebody player of the
year over him if we're if we're putting down the credentials,
we're putting down the you know, the accolades were putting
down his performance. It's Scottie, it's black and white, it's
(39:24):
all day long.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
Agreed.
Speaker 7 (39:28):
Yeah, So Rookie of the Year, that rookie class. I
mean it's loaded. There's five nominees. Do either of you
have a choice before I go through the quick list.
Speaker 4 (39:37):
I think it's gonna be a tougher one a little bit.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
I don't know, give us some of the names.
Speaker 7 (39:42):
Michael Brennan three win on the PGA America season, PGA Tour,
win Bank at Utah. That story is just incredible. I
feel like that would be my choice.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Bias too, right, I think that that could wind up helping.
Speaker 9 (39:56):
Yeah, but just that battlefield promotion.
Speaker 7 (39:58):
I don't know that people understand how difficult that is
to do that, you know, three wins in a season,
even even if it is PGA America's and then to
also come out and win your first PGA Tour event
on an exemption.
Speaker 9 (40:12):
I mean that's strong straw.
Speaker 7 (40:15):
Stephen Fisk Sanderson Champ winner. I might need an assist
on the pronunciation. But William Mao the ESCO champ. Okay,
thank you pot Gater, Rocket Mortgage champ and only rookie
year to make the playoffs and then Carl Phillips Puerto
(40:36):
Rico Open Champs.
Speaker 9 (40:37):
So who jumps out to you.
Speaker 8 (40:38):
Guys, I don't think like I think, yeah, nobody really
jumps out right for me.
Speaker 9 (40:46):
It's Michael Brennan. Yeah, I just thought.
Speaker 7 (40:49):
Battlefield promotion is. I don't even know when the last
Battlefield promotion happened.
Speaker 9 (40:54):
I think, yeah, I'm gonna go, Michael Brennan.
Speaker 7 (40:59):
We shall well, Harry, this was stirring in our group chat.
But the JT everth Beth Page drama, so some ryder
cup fallout. JT went on a podcast and he mentioned
the Greens weren't the speeds team USA asked for, and
a Beth Page Browns crew member fired back online saying
that the Americans were making excuses that the crew wanted
(41:22):
to win more than the US team, or you know,
wanted to win more than the US team. But then
JT hopped on Instagram posting, you know, he's put out
the Yeah, he's like, I wasn't blaming the super at all,
and he's saying, in my opinion this and that, and
said it was taking out of context that it wasn't
a crew.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
He was saying more the the committee, the people sounded
like he was talking.
Speaker 5 (41:45):
And in the shot from the from the anonymous crew
member that said if they would have played practice rounds,
they would have known the speeds of the greens.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
To me, that was just like that's why they lost.
Speaker 5 (41:54):
Like they said that the European team just practiced over
and over on those greens.
Speaker 9 (41:58):
Like yeah, I mean, you're a ryder Cup.
Speaker 7 (42:01):
Why are you not there playing at least eighteen you
know what I mean?
Speaker 9 (42:04):
Like what are you doing?
Speaker 7 (42:06):
Like yeah, so, but he did say, like, you know, regardless,
like we got our butt scicked. You know, it was
clickbait something that just kind of pull everybody's attention and
get everybody talking about it. But I also did see
which I was kind of surprised, is that Keegan says
that the ryder Cup after math this didn't surprise me.
(42:28):
The ryder Cup after math was the darkest time of
his life, but this surprised me, saying I would love
to captain again.
Speaker 9 (42:34):
Yeah, it was like, okay, all right.
Speaker 7 (42:36):
I don't know how the rest of USA things about that,
but you know, we'll see.
Speaker 8 (42:43):
I guess, based upon the way he played in a
Skins game, i'd rather have him playing.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
Yeah, I kind of like him this weekend.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
I did, so that's that's who I took.
Speaker 9 (42:52):
And so we like him as a player. Do we
like them as Captain Gigs you know, just play.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
Yeah, not Captain Tiger.
Speaker 9 (42:58):
Yeah, we'll talk.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
Thanks for teamming up for that one, because let's talk
about Tiger on his birthday.
Speaker 4 (43:04):
Upcoming champions to.
Speaker 9 (43:08):
Well, he's awesome. Will will he play the champion store?
Speaker 7 (43:10):
And he joked twenty five events across the two tours,
you know, both tours. He goes and then you know,
like you said, the chipping and body and then he goes. Honestly,
like I kind of felt bad because he's like, I
just want to play golf again. He's like, I just
want to play golf. You guys don't understand how long
it's been since I played golf. Like, you know, I
like that. He you know, had a smile on his
face and he was trying to be like positive, but
(43:31):
he's like, you know, there's no date. I don't know,
I can't say that. I mean, this man's body has
had more surgery than wins at this point, and he
still wants to tee it up, which is wild. Seriously Wow,
But guys, that that's the tea brought to.
Speaker 9 (43:46):
You by where SPF.
Speaker 7 (43:46):
So even in December, the sun doesn't take a break,
and neither should your skincare routines, whether you're squeezing in
and went around watching games outside or out.
Speaker 9 (43:55):
And about this holiday.
Speaker 7 (43:56):
Season where SPF by Justin Thomas delivers dermatologists tested sweat
resistant protection that works year round, keep your skin safe
and healthy.
Speaker 9 (44:04):
This winner order.
Speaker 7 (44:05):
Now, buy some stuff for some Christmas gifts and visit
where SPF dot com. That's where SPF dot com.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
I might need some of that in the Bahamas, that's
for sure.
Speaker 9 (44:15):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (44:15):
Take a look at the Hero World Challenge. Yeah, twenty
man Field three exemptions. I think it was Speeth, Horsell
and Akshay. I believe the got the nod. But interesting
it's Scottie at plus one.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Yeah that's kind.
Speaker 4 (44:32):
I mean he hasn't you haven't seen him hit a
golf ball since the Ryder Cup. But a lot of
these guys, what do you think about this location?
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Hair, I'm not nuts about this tournament.
Speaker 8 (44:41):
This does nothing for me. It's like a half a tournament.
It's like a hit and giggle, basically hitting giggle.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Yeah, I don't know. I'm more interested in the Australian golf.
I've been watching all day.
Speaker 8 (44:52):
I watched it all last week, the PGA Championship in Australia.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Just the golf courses are so cool.
Speaker 8 (44:57):
But I want to watch the hero because I want
to see Jordan's spe This will be the first action
that Jordan Speith has has undertaken since the wrist surgery
late in the year this past summer, so I'm.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
Interested to see how he looks. That. That's my point
of interest really.
Speaker 8 (45:13):
But I took Kegan Bradley as far because he's there's
such There are no juicy numbers in a twenty man field,
especially when Scott He's at plus one forty, so I
figured it was a little juice. He played really well
in that Skins tournament, which was pretty boring, but.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
He played really well well.
Speaker 7 (45:30):
I just added something to inbox there it's Jordan Speth
little action. If you want to see it, Brad Stley,
I haven't posted it yet, so there you go. You
get the preview first. And Brad said not many players
are more approachable than Jordan Speith. I've watched him in
pro ams this the past few years and he's one
of the best with amateurs that I've ever seen. Nice
to you know, he's engaging with his amateurs whatever. But
(45:52):
he said, here was a beautiful iron shot right over
the flagstick.
Speaker 9 (45:56):
Short game was money on the holes. I watched it.
Speaker 7 (45:58):
We've got to pull for him this season after that
rest surgery. So Brad said, short game was money on
those holes. And I just sent you a little clip
before I post that.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
I just saw it. That's how he wins his short
game and putting.
Speaker 5 (46:10):
So yeah, everybody went on the on the bet Parks board.
Robert McIntyre, I think he's because he seems like the
kind of guy could just roll out of bed and
win a tournament.
Speaker 4 (46:18):
Doesn't.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Yeah, he looks like you rolled out of bed, like
he slept that he's wearing.
Speaker 5 (46:23):
Yeah, yeah, at twelve hundred. But yet, are are your
clubs inside the house?
Speaker 8 (46:30):
They're in they're in my garage, but most times they're
they're in the house. Yeah, most times when it gets it.
Speaker 4 (46:36):
Just it seemed like we had very little fall.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
Oh, it was terrible.
Speaker 9 (46:40):
It just was did you guys get They did a little.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
A little bit of sleep, but nothing sleep.
Speaker 9 (46:45):
So it's ton for you guys. Huh until you come
down here.
Speaker 4 (46:49):
Yeah, yeah it sucks. Yeah, yeah, it's done.
Speaker 9 (46:52):
Any progress on.
Speaker 8 (46:53):
The move here, Well, we're going down there December twelfth
through the fifteenth and we have a realtor that's going
to take it round.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Wow, there we go.
Speaker 2 (47:02):
Yeah, this is for real.
Speaker 9 (47:03):
I feel like.
Speaker 8 (47:07):
We're not We're not going to be on the side.
I can drive over there.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
It's happening. It's happening. Yes, it is, yep. Looking forward
to it.
Speaker 8 (47:17):
Yeah, yeah, man, this Australian Open. I don't know if
you happen to see any of it. Today I watched
Rory for a good four hours with Adam Scott, min
wou Lee and the featured group, and then they had
Cam Smith and Elvis Smiley, who's a protege of his
from Australia.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
He's actually was leading the tournament this week. Yeah, he
looked pretty good.
Speaker 8 (47:37):
He had like he had it to like three under
at one point. I think he finished two under. But yeah,
he looks a lot better.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
He missed the cut last week in the Australian PGA.
That David Pooge one who's a live guy.
Speaker 8 (47:49):
He plays on that Fireballs team with Sergio and uh.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
It's funny. Excuse me.
Speaker 8 (47:56):
How you know the European tour, the DP World Tour
has no problems letting these live guys play, but the
PGA tour has this, you know, this burrow up their
rear end about it, like yeah, you know, like why
can't we just all get together and just play? Yeah,
you know, who care if they live?
Speaker 2 (48:13):
Who cares? Really well figure it out.
Speaker 7 (48:16):
That made me just look up the like that Q
School because I wanted to see the date because obviously
there's a one year penalty if you do try to
get through that lift Q School for anybody on tour.
Speaker 9 (48:29):
So that's from PGA tour down to America.
Speaker 7 (48:32):
It's like your banned. So I was looking at it
because I'm like, is it during PGA tour U School
or is it after? And it's actually scheduled for January
eight through eleventh, And we talked about this a few
podcasts ago, but it's in Florida. It's at Lakewood Ranch
or I'm part of me, part of me Black Diamond Ranch. Sorry, okay,
Black Diamond ranch. So now that it's in like the US,
(48:53):
that's what's not.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
From my mom? Yeah, okay thirty minutes north of my mom.
Speaker 9 (48:57):
Yeah. And they can now say there's a year penalty.
Speaker 7 (49:00):
So now that it's after final stage, some of these guys,
it's like, hey, like okay, what I can't play for
a year.
Speaker 9 (49:06):
Might as well shoot my shot anyway.
Speaker 7 (49:08):
I wonder how many pe I'm really interested to see
some of those names.
Speaker 9 (49:12):
I feel like there's been change on Live though.
Speaker 7 (49:14):
I was looking at the range Goats the other day
because they randomly I got these. You know, I don't
go on my own social that much. And I looked
at I'm like, why I have like nineteen likes and
range Goats And I'm like, why are they looking at
my stuff?
Speaker 9 (49:26):
But I look and I'm like, wait, they have a
new player. I don't have.
Speaker 4 (49:28):
You guys se there's been some movement. Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 9 (49:32):
Knew you're gonna ask them. I'm trying to pull it
up real quick. What is his name? Give me more?
Speaker 4 (49:40):
Forget who it is because I saw it too, because.
Speaker 9 (49:43):
Ben Ben something?
Speaker 6 (49:44):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (49:46):
I know that doesn't give you anything.
Speaker 5 (49:47):
Hold on one.
Speaker 7 (49:48):
Second, Ben Campbell so Asian Tour before that's it. But
I mean he has less than five thousand followers. I
don't know much about it. Yeah, same, but I literally
was looking at their Instagram.
Speaker 9 (50:03):
I go, wait, hold on, there's been some shifting going
on here.
Speaker 7 (50:05):
So I wonder who's who dropped off of range Goats then,
because it's still Bubba and then Peter You line.
Speaker 9 (50:13):
Matt Wolf.
Speaker 5 (50:14):
There was something about Bubba like just going to captain
at some point and not play. I don't know, right, Yeah,
I don't know what happened.
Speaker 7 (50:22):
It's Bubba Watson, Peter you Line, Matt Wolf, and Ben Campbell.
So who who'd Ben Campbell replaces?
Speaker 9 (50:27):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
I think Varner was on that team and went over
to the Aces or something. Perez got booted.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Wow right, yeah, yeah he went to broadcasting. He's off
the tour.
Speaker 7 (50:41):
Yeah, so interesting to say, like those shifts and what's
happening with all of that. I'm really interested in wanting
and seeing who's going to go to that Q school,
you know, after missing Fine stage.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Potentially Ye, that Campbell guys from New Zealand.
Speaker 9 (50:58):
Okay, okay, he's got any career highlights.
Speaker 8 (51:02):
He's got two wins on the Asian Tour, one win
on the PGA Tour of Australasia and played in one
major championship that was the Open in twenty twenty two
and he missed the cut.
Speaker 9 (51:18):
Now he's getting paid by the range Coats.
Speaker 4 (51:22):
Wild story.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
Well.
