The JV Show. I'm Selena all right, first talk back
of the day.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Here we good morning, Selena Graham and Jess. You hoped.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Have a great day.
Speaker 5 (00:17):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hope you do too.
Speaker 5 (00:19):
Hope you have a great hope today. Do you know what? Today?
Also is August twelfth, my kids first day back to school,
first day back alert. So yesterday we took them back
to school shopping. You guys, you.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Waited until the day before school starts to go back
to school shopping.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
Well, we had gotten a couple things. It's a tradition
in my household, Selena, right before school they would go
and at least get their first day of school new
They get a new outfit to wear the first day
of school and then like then just go back to
wearing hand me downs and all the other okay stuff
that they have. And so yesterday we popped over to
the old Navy outlet that's where we usually go.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
And you guys, it's the tail of two kids.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
I have a son for it, he's going into the
third grade, and then my daughter Quinn, she's going in
the second grade. She never been so excited to go
back to school and pick out her outfit and she
is over the moon about it, just so excited, and oh.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
This is gonna be great. And look at this shirt.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
I could wear it with this skirt and oh my god,
and everything is great. And then there's my son and
he's like, I don't want to go back to school.
I want nothing to do with it. And he also
does not want anything to do with any sort of
new clothes. And he's both these kids are growing like
weeds right now. His clothes look ridiculous on him right
now because they're all getting too small. He doesn't want
anything new because that looks uncomfortable. Dad, that looks very uncomfortable.
(01:43):
I don't want that. How is this uncomfortable? Everything? And
old baby's soft and made out of sweatpant material and
that's gonna be the most comfortable thing ever. No, Dad,
those shorts are gonna be so uncomfortable. Look they don't
stretch it all. Look, Oh they're too tight.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
He's like turning into an old man.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Bro, it's ridiculous. And the fight about jeans.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I want yeah to an American eagle.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
We're like, bro, you're about to be in the third grade,
and by fourth grade this we got to be done
past the sweat. The sweatpants, right, and the soft pants.
You have to mix some jeans in. You just have to.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
But why are you trying to control his creativity? Yeah,
that'sn't expile.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
That's not a baby that only wants to wear soft pants.
I was like, I wear jeans almost every single day.
He's like, they're so uncomfortable, Dad, They're so uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Oh I hate them.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
I was like, I don't know, feel these jeans. They're
pretty soft, They're not that bad, and I find them
quite comfortable. You won't even notice once you wear them
for a little bit. But the fight in that story yesterday.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
But I think they get so used to summer vacation
or whatever when they're just like kind of lounging around
and they're wearing the sweat. It's like, I don't want
to wear jeans either, don't. I don't love them.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
I just think, are you look around you know, campus,
and of all the of all the kids, and what's
the percentage of jean wearing these days are like nicer
pant wearing.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
It's down like about.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Ninety because there's so many other options.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Though it's looking a little sloppy. Let's clean it up.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
These are children, I mean.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
They're looking a little sloppy.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Wayne. They are to play, like stretchy leggings and stuff
so they can they don't have to wear a uniform.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
No, oh, well that makes it harder for you, I
guess easier for them more.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
It's harder for everyone because any have the fight over
the outfits every morning. Well your wife does not you,
thank god.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Yeah. Basically I picked something up for him to wear
to the first day of school and he's like, I'm
not wearing that. I am not wearing that. Picked him
out of a Polo shirt. So I had a call
I don't wear a shirt with a caller.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
To the first day of school.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
That's a nice look.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Well, oh, yes, you're.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
A child.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
It's a short sleeve shirt, making so many you It
was like the softest shirt I'd ever felt.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'm like, this thing's this is perfect.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I'm glad he stood up for me too. Yeah, you
wants a T shirt with like monster trucks on it
and you're like, no, no, no, Polo, it.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Is no clean it up. Kids, we're looking too slowly and.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
You bottom dress shoes too clean it up.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
To wear with the shorts today. Yeah, I got to
dress handsome suspenders and a bow.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Tie your day of school to your your baby's gram.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine Time four
the four things you need to heads up on to
start your day.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
YEA tickets, Get Jeff Powerball tickets. People, this is the
largest lottery jackpot of twenty twenty six set a billion dollars.
No winning tickets are sold from Monday's drawing to ascimated
cash bellus in Yo one, which might because I'm manifesting
it for you, would be at least four hundred and
thirty three point one million dollars before taxes of course.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Yeah all right. After losing a heartbreaker to the Astros
on Monday night, San Francisco Giants spouse back with a
four to one win last night Oracle Park. With the win,
the team is now fifty and seventy on the season,
woof one of the worst records in all baseball, still
above the Sacramento Las Vegas As formerly of Oakland. Though
the final game of this Astro series is today, It's
a day game and first pitch is at twelve forty five.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
Oh, Matt, cool, low clouds and patchy drizzle for this
Wednesday morning. We're going to get some sunshine in the afternoon,
but temperatures are going to be cooler today. Highs will
be in the upper seventies to low eighties. Fire chances increase, you, guys,
due to chance of dry lightning.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
Ooh, that's not good, Hey, Piecey's bestie. Heyday today is
going to be a nine. The universe is sliding a
little financial love note your way. Check your accounts because
something might have just landed. Babe, you've been responsible and
patient and the universe remembered you exist in the best
way possible. Treat yourself to something small but meaningful. You've
earned this plot twist.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Thank you? Whatever?
Speaker 6 (05:44):
What are you going to be treating yourself to myself
with something?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
I have a hole shopping cart of things.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
In my Amazon car, I have things in my fashion
Ova car, I have things on my sham cart.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I have plenty to choose from the universe. Is something small?
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Yeah, you're going a little meaningful. Did you check your
acounts to see if something ended, bab?
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I know, but I'm hoping something did land.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four to.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Nine, Graham, did you really bring in some Guinness this morning? Yep,
we're gonna be trying Guinness.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
Yeah. Yesterday I was shocked, as were many of the listeners,
that you two ladies had never tasted a Guinness beer before.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
So I brought one married for me.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
It's scared because you know what, I don't day drink.
It'll just ruin my whole day. But you're not gonna
chug a full beer, so it's just a taste.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
It's a taste.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
I'm not doing Irish car bottbs. That's not until Friday
on the Chug Wheel. No, yeah, are you serious? Is
this a little tasty taste?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Okay? All right, So we're gonna be tasting some Guinness
coming up right now on the JV Show. It's our
cool or Not list to do this every Wednesday when
we throw some things out. We discussed is that cool
or not? You guys cool or not? I had my
first sloppy show.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Okay, yes, I told.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
You, No, told you guys last week I'd never had one,
and my husband was shook if he thought I was joking.
He's like, what do you mean in your entire twenty
six and a half years of life, you have never
had a slow sloppy Joe. And I literally was like,
look at my parents. Do they look like they would
feed a sloppy Joe.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
The rest of a sloppy Joe eaters are feeling a
little judged.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Okay, well sorry, but he was like, yeah, you're right,
your mom doesn't look like a sloppy Joe type of person.
But I tried one. You know, we went off to
Mexico last week and so we had his mom, uh
you know, flew in from DC to stay with our
kids for a few days. And the night before we left,
she made a sloppy Joe. So I'm try it and
(07:35):
it was so good.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I told you, it's so good.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
Look at you. That's what you're just becoming, this very
cultured world person. Now you're about to try to get us,
and then you just had your first sloppy Joe.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Sloppy Joe, Sam lat.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
Yeah, we just need to get her to have a
big mac.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, I've you could become a regular part of society.
The rest of us that have had all that stuff
and watched all those things many years ago.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
The think about a big mec though, was just too
much like Sloppy Joe. Like it's just enough, like it's
just it's perfect. If it was like like Bun Sloppy Joe,
Bun Sloppy Joe. But I feel like that'd be just
a little it's just a little too much.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
Big mech is so tiny now.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Shrink flation, maybe consider it.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
What sort of was I say, homemade Sloppy Joe recipe?
Was it out in the can? Was it with a
package season mix? There's a lot of ways to make
them that.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
I don't know, Okay, but she made it and it
was delicious, and I it's something I would I would make.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
I'm thinking of adding into our repertoire coming up here
pretty soon because I don't know that my kids have
had one yet that I could think of.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
So I need to start feeding them that.
Speaker 6 (08:43):
Right.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
They're not twenty six and a half like you, They're
just six and a half. They're actually just six and
a half.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah, all right, I'm gonna say cool. Do I believe
my parents? Thank you? Thank you? Jess Graham. You want
to throw something in here?
Speaker 5 (08:55):
Yeah, what are you guys saying?
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Cool or not?
Speaker 5 (08:57):
One of those vendors that the nap a fair sold
me my son some fake Pokemon cards.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Ooh well, I'm gonna say cool because you shouldn't known.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I feel like that's on you.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Why that on me?
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Because you have to know everything there's fake?
Speaker 5 (09:10):
But shouldn't they be because this is like a like
a sanctioned event, like you getta pay a ticket to
get in. Shouldn't they vet all the vendors that are
selling stuff there because they're charging me twenty dollars for
the world's tiniest burrito? You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I mean, shouldn't vendors have to sell legitimate things?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
No? Like I assume anything you get at a fair,
at a kiosk at the mall, it's not real, right,
like a labuobu.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
When I would know that fair, Yeah, like I would
know that if they had Labuobu's there, they were la.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Fufus or like we got a lot of needles and
we were at the Alameda County Fair knowing they're not
the real one there.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
Yeah, I just think it's I just think it's it's
it's one thing, like I don't know, I feel weird
when you're like ripping off a little kid, like to me,
that's weird.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
But what were they.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
Supposed to do?
Speaker 6 (09:56):
Go get some new inventory just specifically for the children.
If anything, the children are the ones you can trick easier.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
So yeah, except they don't like we got Look, I
felt bad for him. I'm going not cool by the way,
because I you know, we get home and he opens
up the cards and they're all like awesome cards or whatever,
and he's like, LOUI, he's so excited. You've never seen
a kid so happy because they're like all these cards
he's dreamed about or whatever.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I don't know. He's like in his Pokemon era all
of a sudden, and you.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Know, he's out of the Harry Potter era.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Yeah, well we moved past that, okay, but yeah, he.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
Used to be into Pokemon.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
And then like I don't know.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Give away his cards and then suddenly he's back in
I don't know he's and then this is all he
wants to talk about right now anyways, And so he
gets a bunch of awesome cards and.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
He's all juiced up, you know.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
And then right right before like talking him in, he's like,
some doesn't feel right about that, you know, And then
we're kind of looking at him I was like, oh no,
And then he's the one that realized they're all fake
and you've.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Never seen a kid more crushed.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
I'm going not cool.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I feel like you, yeah, why not.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
Just sell real? But like I guess, like what I'm
saying is, why wouldn't just sell real cards?
Speaker 1 (11:00):
People will still buy it.
Speaker 6 (11:01):
It's more expensive for them to buy them themselves.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
I've never bought Pokemon cars, how so when you bought
him the real ones? How much were those?
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (11:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
The packs all are They're all different prices. Okay, I
mean by no means an expert, I have no.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Idea, but okay, I just assume anything you get in
a little tent at a fair, it's not the it's
not real.
Speaker 5 (11:21):
Yeah, I agree with you, But I'm almost like, why
should but shouldn't it be?
Speaker 1 (11:25):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
I just like he was crushed, absolutely crushed.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
I still feel like that's on you. I'm going cool, Yeah,
that's on me.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Yeah, I'm supposed to go over there and vet things. No,
you know.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
That it's fake. You don't to vet them. Just assume
assume it's not real. If I go to the fair
and they're selling lily bags, I'm not gonna.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Be like, oh my god, I've always wanted this.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
One and be like, Okay, it's fake, but if I
want it, I'm gonna get it.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
I get what I trust me. I understand what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
I don't know. It just seems to me that, like,
why wouldn't Because everything at the fair is so dang expensive,
you might as well be going to Disneyland. I mean, like,
the amount of money we spent going to the fair,
was it like the same prices going to Disneyland. I'm
at Disneyland buying stuff and I'm spending the same amount.
Why I'm expecting them to sell me some real stuff?
So shouldn't Well, I don't know, take ten minutes and
(12:12):
the vendors and be like, hey guys, let's just sell
some real stuff here.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
I just don't think that's a requirement. It's just like
you you pay for your booth and sell whatever you want. No.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
I get that, it's not a requirement. I'm just saying,
shouldn't it be?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
No matter?
Speaker 5 (12:25):
You're paying money to get into the fair, then you
pay money to go on the rise, and you paid
money on the things to play the games, and then
I'm just like, man, this whole thing is we're.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Gonna have to agree to disagree jests and I think
very cool. You bought some baked ones and you think
not cool. That's just what it is.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Oh man, you could have seen my son. My son's
heart was broken and.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
So now you have to go buy him the new ones.
All yeah, and again that I did. Oh, okay, I did.
Speaker 5 (12:50):
Yeah. I found actually a shout out to there's a
new card store and a fairly new card store in Napa.
The card shop and uh awesome people that shout out
to Nestor and Martine. They I look, I went in
there and told them the story and they felt bad
for a kid because they have a heart and the
director some awesome packs of cards and everything, and shout.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Out to them made everything right. They got broken into.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
Recently, I posted about them on Instagram story because there
were a bunch of different news outlets that it posted
the surveillance video because a guy broke into their shop
and just like stole all the.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Stuff. But anyways, oh that does suck.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Shout out to them.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
The JV show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
For nine were the base number one hit music station.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Have You Home JV.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Show here, thanks for hanging with us. I'm Selena, and
we do have your tickets for a savor so Noma
Live Fire and Vine. That's a really cool event happening
at Great Resort Casino. Those tickets on standby. We are
about to try Guinness for the first time, well, ess
and I for the first time.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Yeah, bus track thousands.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
We've never had Guinness before. Yeah, and this is the
non alcoho all right.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
So there's a lot of things that I, yeah, I
don't like about this one. We're about to drink it
out of paper cups. This should be served in a
pint glass. That's just this is all This is all wrong,
very sacrilegious, and I hate that we're doing this, but
all right, that's what we have to drink out of
at this office. Also, I bought I brought in the
non alcoholic version of Guinness because Selena, if you listen
(14:21):
to the show this week, she's battling a concussion from
a wave runner incident that she got hit in the
face by one and I don't know, and then Selena
just I can't listen to Selena complain about how she
can't day drink anymore.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
So I was like, I'll just.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
Get the non ouk one because I had heard from
people that the non olk one tastes like super similar
to actual regular Guinness. Okay, I'm going to determine that
in a second when we all try it. I don't funny,
I don't know if it does or not. But both
ladies looked at the cups when I poured them during
that last song and like, oh, what's this is weird
looking and it's with Guinness is different. It has a
(14:55):
real thick, creamy head on it, which is part of
its signature.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
But get in there and taste it, and I'm gonna
taste it. I'm gonna tell you if I think it
tastes right, I'm going for it different again.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
This is the non alcoholic Guinness beer, which it seems
awful to me.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
But it's weird. Really, what's what's the aftertaste? Graham, this
is your preferred beer.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
I love Guinness. I'm not mad at I absolutely love it.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
I'm really really not mad at it. But it's not
what I was expecting. Let me try it, Jess.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
It's I think Guinness is nitrogen. It's not carbonated like normally, like,
it's not all bubbly, like look at Sooness over here
hammering it.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
She likes it.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
If only I had alcohol in it.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Yes, I'm not going to regular. Look, regular guinness is
better that has the alcohol in it. For a non
alcoholic beer, this does taste kind of actually not.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Bad, it's really good.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
It's similar.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
I think I would like the alcohol version.
Speaker 6 (15:50):
You would like the alcohol version, just strange, like it's
a different taste than regular beer.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I just thought that because it's dark, that it was
going to be I don't like darker beers. I thought
it was gonna be like just disgusting. Yeah, me too.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
Most people see the color of it and think it's
going to be one of these like real hoppy heavy beers. Like, no,
it's not.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
It's not that at all.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
I always get like the lightest I go, like the
lightest one there is right.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Different than that.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
What do you think is the alcohol the alcoholic one
more bubbly or like more like fizzy?
Speaker 5 (16:22):
Oh no, that's not how againness is again it's Oh,
I think it's nitrogen in there.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Don't quote me on that.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
I can't remember.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
But it's not not carbonated with CO two like the other.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
I like it. I'm already for Saint Patrick's date.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
There you go. I should have been drinking this in
March and haven't you guys try to get us for
the first time. But we will be putting an Irish
car bomb on this week chug Wheel just for fun
Friday at eight twenty and that one will be with
regular alcohol.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Getness, Okay, before we open up the phone lines for
this for these tickets for saber Son, Noma, Live Fire
and Vine. Earlier this morning, we were talking got back
to school shopping because Graham, your kids go back today today.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
They're starting up and we do a little back to
school shopping yesterday. And the fight I was having with
my son, namely over any sort of denim and jeans.
I can't get him to wear jeans to save my life,
Jamie show this were.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Bay and Graham. I can definitely relate to that jeans struggle.
My daughter is ten years old and she absoully, that's
not like jeans.
Speaker 8 (17:23):
She wants for lady.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
And she's too old.
Speaker 9 (17:26):
She did in those junior sizes, outgrowing those little girl sizes.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
It's about time for genes.
Speaker 9 (17:33):
She also doesn't like any button and any kids showing,
so forget it.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
The gene struggle is real, you guys.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Yeah, my daughter went through anti jean faces well, but
now she's older, she loves she loves theory jeans. Okay,
I think he's gonna go through the motions.
Speaker 10 (17:49):
Graham, you gotta let your kids be themselves. My sone
hears about that age more like SpongeBob shirts and stuff
like that. Mario whatever, his dad tried to get in
me to not buy those for him and make him
wear jeans and all that. And he's more like basketball
pants and basketball shorts and T shirts.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
And he was.
Speaker 10 (18:09):
Comfortable and that's all that mattered. And when he got
older he started to wear jeans a little, but not
even now.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
So whatever, my only issue. And like, I feel like,
if your kid doesn't want to wear jeans, I mean maybe,
if you want them to dress up every once in
a while for something, yeah, make them. But it's the
first day of school. All the other kids are gonna
be like in graphic teas, yeah, SpongeBob and monster trucks
or whatever they're into. And you put your son in
a polo you're sending up to the first day of school.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
I don't know. It's something about like the first day
of school, like, I feel like you should look slightly
more presentable than when you go back to just being
the slab version of yourself. But also I am a
crusader against the slabification of society. I think we've gotten
just like, like, you should dress slightly more presentable to
go to school, then you do the rest of the time.
My kid can wear sweats and basketball shorts and T
(18:56):
shirts and stuff, and he will. He's gonna be wearing
a T shirt every single day this school. He will
be wearing a T shirt. So don't be like Graham,
You're sticking him in a collar shirt every day. One day,
I'm asking for that first day of school picture. Throw
him in like a shirt with a collar looks slightly.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
We're wearing shorts, not he's not.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
Even wearing browsers. I know that he probably won't. He
probably won't even end up wearing it again. The fight
that you know, the fight, but I tried, you know,
It's like, that's what I that's what I picked that.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
Christol was so important to setting up how the kids
are gonna treat you, and you want him to feel
like as cool as he can.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
We were in the classroom last night for the little
almost like a pre back to school night thing. He's
got all of his buddies in his class, like there's
no well, this isn't like some big first impressions thing.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
He already knows everybody in there.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Okay, send him in a polo then.
Speaker 5 (19:42):
I just like I'm I'm gonna crusade against the slopification society.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
We've all become slops.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
That's I may be comfortable, honest.
Speaker 8 (19:52):
It's all the stuff you need to know what's hot
in music, movies, shows and the most talked about stories
happening today and I.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Kind of want some more. Gannis was actually stuff I know,
all right, So Drake's Goth Batty is speaking out. In
case you missed this. Yesterday, we talked about Drake's most
recent live stream where he did like the twenty versus
one challenge and it was him versus twenty OnlyFans creators,
and the one that has gone super viral is his
(20:22):
goth Baddy, which I guess he's always been into. Like
you said years ago, that was actually his type. It's
a creator that goes by pink chew. I think it's
how you pronounce it. I'm so not really sure, but yes,
she is a goth baddie and she won, you know,
in the wife category of this stream, and she was
allowed to pick out anything that she wants and whatever
(20:42):
she wants in the entire world, Drake is going to
buy it for her. And she was like, I just
want you to buy my mom house, and Drake said
he was going to do it. So TMZ had her on.
They interviewed her. It was posted yesterday and they were
asking her about her mom, like, well, does do your
mom know that you were even going on the stream?
Speaker 5 (20:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (20:59):
I told her about it, and then I told her
I was like I won.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I was like, I was like, just don't look online,
no matter what happens, Mom, just don't be looking online.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
And she's like, Okay, imagine your mom seeing you on
this and you have Drake barking like a dog for you.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
It wasn't I don't know what it was.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
And then what everybody wants to know is he actually
gonna buy her mom a house. So basically how Drake
said it's gonna work is you just you could pick.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
Any listing, send it to him, and he's gonna buy it.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
That's what he said. Imagine that you and you know,
I mean, this is Drake what. I don't know what
Drake's networth is, but it's up there. You can pick
literally any listing.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
He's not gonna pick the Like, there's a house here
and on the peninsula just sold for seventy million dollars, Like,
is he gonna buy the moms seventy million dollar house?
Speaker 6 (21:51):
I think there's a budget, but it's pretty up there.
His net worth is approximately four hundred millions, gotta be
more than.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Way more than that.
Speaker 5 (21:59):
Well, also, I guess the one thing you'd have to
think about and Goth Batty's mom would have to factor
and is that, yeah, Drake may pick up the purchase
price on the house. True, you're on the hook for
property taxes, true maintenance and insurance and all that kind
of stuff. So you pick out one hundred million dollar house,
A good luck affording it? Yep.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Well, Well, the goth Batty said that she takes care
of her family with all the money she makes off
of OnlyFans. In this interview, she said that she wasn't
really even like a fan of Drake's music, but I
knew who he was and goes on there. She ends
up winning this but she says thanks to this stream,
her only fans subscriptions are through the roof, Like she
is going to be making so much money. So I
don't think she's really worried about that.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Okay, she was.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Already taking care of mom and the family. Anyways. The
other thing people wanted to know is did her and
Drake you know, was there any smashery.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
I'd like to know that as well. I feel like
I'm buying your mom a house.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
You think there was a lot of learning. But they
did not hook up, but they had some really good conversations,
and she was kind of like, I don't know, she
was kind of playing coy about whether or not they're
going to see each other ever again. She kind of
made it seem like they're going to be doing something
together at some point. Maybe it's more business. I don't
really know, but but that is the update. I think
(23:12):
we're going to see Drake and golf Patty together again.
Speaker 5 (23:15):
I think Drake's expecting something if he buys mom a
ten million dollar house. I think Drake wants a little
something for his trouble.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
You might want it, but hey, you you're the one
that offered us up. That's a good point, you know.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
True?
Speaker 2 (23:26):
All right, Graham, we got to talk about this losing
gravity theory. What is this?
Speaker 5 (23:30):
Yeah, so we can all mark ourselves safe, thank God,
from this viral theory that the Earth was going to
lose gravity for seven seconds today because the time it
was supposed to happen it just passed. It was supposed
to happen at six thirty three this morning. So just
to let you guys know, we we've all dodged a
wode on this one. If you're not familiar with this theory,
it's been circulating online for several months, but it goes
(23:52):
something like this, And this theory is really ramped up
over the past couple of days as the solar eclipse
arrives today August twelfth, And if you're somebody that it's like,
oh my god, I can't wait to see the solar
eclipse today. Here in the United States, We're not really
going to see much. Other parts of the world were
going to get an actual solar eclipse. We're going to
see maybe a tiny tenC tiny sliver of it, if any. Anyways,
(24:14):
the theory basically stated that as the solar eclips arrived,
Earth was going to get hit by an intersection of
gravitational waves which were produced when two black holes collided
millions of years ago, causing gravity to essentially be canceled
out for a time period of seven seconds.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
I don't know how they came up with that number,
but the.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Theory claims that NASA even had some secret program called
Project Anchor, and they had earmarked ninety billion dollars to
prepare and deal with the fallout of this gravitational pause. Well,
NASA wighed in this week because everybody was posting stuff
about on social media, and they obviously debunked the entire thing, saying, quote,
the Earth will not lose gravity. Earth's gravity or total
(24:54):
gravitational force, is determined by its mass, and the only
way for the Earth to lose gravity be the Earth
system the combined mass of its core, mantle, crust, ocean,
terrestrial water, and atmosphere to lose mass translation eight translation,
it ain't gonna happen. You can't shut off gravity. Gravity
for a very large object like Earth that has the
(25:16):
mass that it does. Our gravity is basically set unless
you were to lose a ton of the mass of
the Earth. Got it is not going to happen for
seven seconds, so again that the time period has already passed.
It's supposed to happen at six thirty three this morning.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
It's so crazy. You can literally say anything, make up anything,
and it'll go viral and everything leaves it because we're stupid.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
Yeah, I mean basically yep, that's basically it. But who
we survived, you guys, But imagine if gravity was turned
off for seven seconds? Better hope you were indoors fly space?
All right?
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Well, thank you Grammy.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.

well haven't, I haven't heard it yet. So here it is.
Speaker 6 (26:45):
I have a faked uh or two in the past,
and I don't think they could tell because.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
They didn't say anything. We've all done it.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Why wouldn't we say something.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
We're happy about it, happy you got it? Yeah, that's
what I'm saying. Oh, you must have done something right.
All right, think about what that blief word could be. Remember,
this is a family show. Welcome back to school, everybody.
This is a family show. Leave us your name and
your city along with your guests on that talkback Mike
first correct hence the morning Like so I said, Win's

Speaker 2 (27:20):
But it's not that Chug Mugg.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
But you don't win the mug.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Yeah, get those guesses in. Now you're gonna play some
of those first talkbacks.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Next The JV Show on Wild ninety four to nine
nine and.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
The Bay's number one hit music station, The JV Show.
I'm Selena Groom and I'm Jess. Now we're playing what
the Blee where you can win a chug mug if
you are the first person who guess today's weep out
word correctly. That's the only way that you are gonna win.
Here's today's clip in case you missed it.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
I have a faked.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Or two in the past, and I don't think they
could tell because they didn't say anything. Remember when you
think you know what that word is, you want to
leave it on the talkback Mike on the iHeart Radio app.
The only rule is it's this is the family show. Okay,
you sick? The kids are in the car. Well, we're
going back to school for crying out loud. Here, keep
your guesses clean. Let's go to your talkbacks. Good Morning
j V Show.
Speaker 12 (28:02):
This is Stacy from San Ramon and I think the
bleeped out word is surprise.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Think you have a great day.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
It's one of the most popular guests faked a surprise,
like faked being surprised, Like when people walk you into
your surprise party that you already know has happened, and
you're like, oh, you guys, you should know.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I don't think I've ever fully faked a surprise, but
like like if you're opening a gift, you always do
a little extra, you know what I mean, like add
a little more.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
Anyone ever thrown you a surprise party?
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Really?
Speaker 13 (28:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:34):
And were you actually surprised or do you know what's happening?
Speaker 2 (28:36):
I was fully surprised.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
Yes, anyone ever thrown you a surprise party?
Speaker 13 (28:39):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (28:40):
Remember I told your ruben?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Uh did that at the crow bucket? It was my
birthday celebration. He got all my friends together there?
Speaker 5 (28:48):
Did everybody rally together at the products? Guys, guys, guys,
hide behind your crab buckets. She's about to come in here.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Get in your crab bucks, get in there, get watch
out for the cow. I loved it.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Charles Sam is a bleepdout word bingo.
Speaker 12 (29:03):
Right, have a good day.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
I assumed if you faked bingo, a bunch of old
ladies would beat the snot out of here.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Yeah, right, you shouldn't be allowed to play if you're
gonna do that.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
Like, can I just ask a quick question though, bingo?
Why is bingo like just like an older person thing.
I want to go play bingo, but I feel like I'm.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Gonna be judged.
Speaker 5 (29:19):
Maybe you should start a young person's bingo move under
the age of twenty eight and a half to play.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Because it seems so fun. She's thirty. Oh dang it.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Sorry, yeah, no, good for you.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
What's up, Jamie show?
Speaker 7 (29:33):
This mark from Brentwood and I think the bleepout word
is laugh?
Speaker 5 (29:37):
All right, Happy Home Day?
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Faked a laugh? Yeah, it's everything. Yeah, it's so stupid,
all right? Think that was real? That was a good fake.
We have perfected our fake laugh.
Speaker 5 (29:51):
That's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
But Freke laugh maybe real laugh.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Drake guesses so far, but not the right one. If
you think you know what today's bleeped out word, you
got to get on the talkback mic on the iHeart
Radio app. Leave your guests right there. We're gonna play
more up your talkbacks coming up.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
For the JV Show, I'm Selena and I'm just happy Wednesday,
We're playing what the bleep where you can win a
chug mug. You just have to be the first person
to guest today's leap that word correctly. As always you
think you know what that word is, leave your guests
on the talkback mic on the iHeart radio app. Only
the first person who gets it right is winning this
morning's chug Mug. Here's today's clip in case you missed it.
Speaker 6 (30:28):
I have a faked UH or two in the past,
and I don't think they could tell because they didn't
say anything.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
With your uh, with your fiance or with like.
Speaker 6 (30:38):
No, no, no, no previous previous, yeah, long time, sure, yeah,
sure many man, oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Like what alergyman before guys talking about you talking about
the words bleeps. I don't know. All right, let's go
to your guesses. Remember your guesses have to be clean.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
From San Jose, happy hoped is the bleak out word?
Speaker 5 (31:04):
Call?
Speaker 2 (31:04):
You faked a call one or two times. I've done it,
fake a.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Call, fakes a call?
Speaker 5 (31:15):
Anyone still doing that because it seems unbelievable that anyone
would get a call on their cell phone.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Anybody call anyone anymore? I don't I.
Speaker 6 (31:23):
Gets, well, yeah, you've never had a call, just I
have in public if I want to see you.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
I'm pretty sure there's a video of you on wild
Andy frank Instagram faking a call in front of too
short to get a picture of him.
Speaker 14 (31:33):
I have.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Okay, so great guess Hello JB.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
Sure this is from one Creek and I think the
bleaked out word today is injury.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Have a great day injury.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
It's one of the most popular guests. Is this morning
an injury?
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Have you guys ever faked an injury to get out
of maybe sports practice or school or something like that.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
No, not an injury. Injury thickness.
Speaker 5 (31:59):
Yeah, yeah, I'm trying to think. I'm like, I feel
like I've played up some injuries before with that hafty
limp for sympathy, but but it was still there. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
My name is Justin from Conquered and I'm guessing for
the chuck lug, is it faking a sneeze?
Speaker 5 (32:16):
Maybe?
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Who knows? That didn't even say unelievable, didn't I didn't.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Let me hear your sneeze?
Speaker 5 (32:25):
That was good?
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Oh my god, great one, Selena? That was me.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
That was not that good?
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Now, Selena's turned that didn't send that. That didn't sound
that blueable either.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
All right next guests, Good morning.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
Guys from Ayward. My guess from the belief that word
is signature.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Yeah, all right, here's today's clip. Unbelieved.
Speaker 6 (32:47):
I have a faked signature or two in the past,
and I don't think they could tell because they didn't
say anything nice.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Word signing your permission slipt ye.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
When I was little and I would forget to give
my mom like the papers needed for whatever it was,
I'm like, well, her signature is pretty easy, let me
just write it.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
I do that one time in middle school and somebody
told on me snitch and and then I had an
I got an in school suspension, not that serious, and
you snitched on me.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
Well, why would you tell somebody that you're doing this,
that you were doing that.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
At the beginning.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
I think they might have just seen me, like at
my desk or something like just signing it really quick,
because I don't know, but I signed my husband's name
all the time.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
I was going to ask, because I think we've all
forged our parents' signature at some point growing up. But
I guess you answer my question. There was going to
be have you faked anybody else's signature of late?
Speaker 1 (33:39):
I don't ever try to. I don't know that I've
ever faked my wife's signature.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
I don't think I could do it first, Like, it's
got a lot of loopy loops and you know what
I mean, yeah loopy.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
My husband's one of those little squiggly ones. It's so easy.
Anybody can do it.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
Yeah, mine's a scribble like I feel like mine would
be very very simple, easy to replicate.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Just you forged an a signatures.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
You know, recently not recently, m M.
Speaker 6 (34:00):
I think I'd be more scared to do it now.
I just get scared of getting in trouble.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
I just feel like the majority of stuff you sign
nowadays is on like some electronic cat or on a
doc you sign online or something like that doesn't look
anything like my real signature, but it gets accepted every time.
Who cares. It's all just one big, one big scribble,
all right, give some shoutouts first, he said, Joe on
Joe on Joan and Heyward? Was that from the stock
(34:29):
brand new JV show? Chuck about coming away on this
whole a couple other people.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
I was kind of surprised.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
I thought a lot of people would get this one
and Holy tied a way of talkbacks. Thank you to
everybody that played along with our game this morning. Kelly
and San Jose came with the correct answers so that
our buddy Carlos and San Carlos anybody else Squeak went
in like at the last second, jest, I got the
buzzer that I didn't see. Okay, well wow, only two
shoutouts to go back quickly to one other thing that
was mentioned in the previous batch of guesses that we played,
(34:56):
like the first round of guesses, as somebody had said
bingo and was like, I wish there was like a
young person's been going as fun. A lot of people
left bingo talkbacks, and there's a lot of chatter, a
lot of people saying that bingo is actually super fun
and or the JV Show should host a boozy Bingo night.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Somebody suggested that that would be fun, that could be
kind of a fun A little that.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Was, Hey, the JV Show is here for that boozy.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
It's just a bunch of eighty year olds show up
or get drunk and win the game they're good at
that we're hosting it.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Can I still play like? Am I still allowed to win?
The prices?
Speaker 1 (35:30):
No, no, sorry, that's a yeah, that's a violation of
your contract and I'm out.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Then I won't be showing up if I can't play either.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Yeah, I just want to. I just want to drink. Okay,
I don't care about the drink. I don't care about
the time.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
I am back in all right, Well, thank you everyone
for playing. Are what the bleep game? If you didn't win,
all good, We'll do it again tomorrow morning, same time.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Seven O five the JV show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Wild for nine were the bays number one hit music station,
The JV show on a Wednesday, Have You Won't do?
Speaker 15 (35:58):
And I'm just hey, guys, this is Emily from Bleo
and this message is for jes. Just check out Bingo
Loco in San Francisco. I haven't been yet, but I've
seen all the advertisements and I want to go so bad.
It definitely looks like a really good time and a
big party.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
But check it out Bingo.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Loco, Bingo Loco. So somebody's guests and are what's the
bleep game?
Speaker 5 (36:18):
A little bit ago was Bingo and it's spiraled into
a full on Bingo discussion on the talkbacks right now
everybody's fired up for some sort of easy sort of
bingo event. But Bingo Loco that sounds fun.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
I would have looked a morning JV.
Speaker 14 (36:32):
Show Happy Hope Day guests from Brentwood, and this might
age me a bit. But there is a game called
Singo that's pretty popular in my area, and it's basically
music bingo, so it's actually kind of fun. Anyways, just
thought i'd throw that out there. Have a great day, guys.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Bingo Singo Singo, all the INGOs, Yes, look into that.
So many bingo talkbacks. The talkback is for Jess.
Speaker 11 (37:02):
I thought bingo was for old people too, but me
and my friends went to drag Bingo and it was
so much fun.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Come on to Wanna Creek and go to Drag Bengo
and you'll have a great time. That sounds amazing.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
We're going on a full bingo tour, the Jamie says,
going on tour. First stop Bingo Loco, second stop single
and then third stop drag Bingo.
Speaker 2 (37:20):

Speaker 12 (37:54):

Speaker 2 (37:54):
It's stressful.
Speaker 13 (37:55):

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Don't be nervous. Don't be nervous. Here we go. Question

Speaker 13 (38:39):

Speaker 5 (38:42):

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Please stop?
Speaker 13 (38:52):
Yeah, man, I'd probably get it if it were if
we weren't on air.
Speaker 7 (38:56):
But world, that's.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
A great guess.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
It's set fire to the rain.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
How could That's not possible?
Speaker 1 (39:05):
How do you like the rain on fire?
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Can do it all?
Speaker 5 (39:08):
No, yeah, you can't light the water on fire. It's rain.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Watch her. That makes no By the way, it's all good.
You can miss one. You just gotta get this next
one correct, all right.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Question number four.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Humidor is a type of special box that you generally store.
What in.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Humidor?
Speaker 15 (39:30):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (39:30):
Is that like dry aging for meat and stuff? No, No,
meat is pretty good, though. Humid or you usually put
cigars in.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
It's a box you put your cigars in there so
they don't get too loo.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
Could probably be that one for sure. Yeah, cigar collections
looking pretty strong these days. Okay, so you guys did
not technically win, but you said you said. Uh, you
guys are on the way to school right now.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
Yeah, we are.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
What great is Luca?
Speaker 13 (40:00):
He's in first grade?
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Oh yeah, you really use that new chromebook.
Speaker 2 (40:04):

we have to give it a podcast.
Speaker 5 (40:11):
Oh my god, let's do it. Thank you, guys, you.
Speaker 2 (40:14):

Speaker 5 (42:27):
Wanted to wish a very happy birthday to my husband
Jeff from Hayward. Happy home day and yes, happy birthday Jeff.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
That's true.
Speaker 5 (42:35):
Hi Grahm would love to get a special birthday shout
out to my nephew jose LUs and Tracy who turns
fifteen today.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Is that the same host Lucy.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
Do that's haventy keystro from a second ago? I think
it is, with lots of love from your grandparents, your
cousin Abby and your crazy tas Maddi and Lally lately
Lally Yeah anyway, Yeah, double the fart and a very
very special shout out if I made to my very
own my kid Ford and Quinn. I hope you guys
have a great first day. Ford is going into the
(43:03):
third grade, and you want to know a fun fact
about his teacher this year. She was my fifth grade
teacher her very first year teaching in elementary school, and
I was in your class and this is maybe her
last year. She made a special point to make sure
she got my son in her class so she could
(43:23):
sort of bookend her teaching career start with a Herbert
and with Herbert, which is actually really really cool and
I love it and she's an awesome teacher. And then
my daughter, Quinn is going into second grade. I love
you guys both so much, and I am so proud
of you guys, and I hope you have a great
first day.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
And Ford put some jeans on, will you yeah?
Speaker 2 (43:40):
To get your polo that your dad's making you wear.
Speaker 5 (43:42):
I hope he has that polo shirt and I picked
out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Today's hottest trending is coming up next. People are roasting
Dwayne Johnson's new career move. I'm gonna tell you all
about it coming up.
Speaker 8 (43:54):
God, it's all the stuff you need to know, what's
hot in music, movies, shows, and the most talked about
stories happening today.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Some people are roasting Dwayne Johnson's new career move. So
you know, he started out wrestling, you know, he was
the rock. Then he pivoted to movies. He's been doing
that forever. Now here's his latest move, a career in music,
he told Rolling Stone. Music has always been such an
anchor for me, and very specifically in genres that I love,
like country music, traditional country music, and we are exploring
(44:27):
that now. So what do you guys think about.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
To be a country artist?
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Yeah, well, I guess a little a little combo of
well he described it as old school soul with some
country flavor. What do you guys think about that? I
see him as a singer. A lot of people are
wondering if this is some type of midlife crisis, like
like what you've been doing movies and you've been doing
(44:51):
so well, Like why switch up now?
Speaker 5 (44:53):
Because everybody the grass is always greener. Every sports star
wishes they were a rock star, every sports wars their
move star, every movie star wishes they were a super
Bowl winning quarterback. You know what I mean. It's like
it ain't enough, and there's something there's always the draw
to music, to being to being a stage like artist,
and that the crowd just losing their minds for you,
(45:15):
there's something about that that these guys they can't like
get it out of their minds, and they get one
little taste of it, they're like, oh my god, I
want to be the front man with some band.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
You know, he already has some singing experience, like in
mo Wana he's saying you know you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
And then a couple of weeks ago they put out
Mowana Voices Across the Ocean that's like a different, a
separate album, and Dwayne has his own ballad on that one.
I just can't imagine him doing country. I just can't.
I can't see the country.
Speaker 6 (45:46):
I just can't imagine him performing because I'm just picturing
like typical Dwayne, like showing up without his shirt or
something like all musk.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
He's gonna play the guitar and his sleeves are just.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
I'm kind of here for.
Speaker 5 (46:00):
I don't know. It's just like that's sure that song
sounded fine or whatever, and if you listen clothes, it
wasn't very good. But I don't know you. There are
so many other people vocally that are just massively more talented,
and sometimes bugs me when opportunities are given to people
with less talent but because they're more famous or whatever,
and then they get the opportunities, and there's all these
(46:21):
people that are like just sounds so much better and
they never their music never seen.
Speaker 6 (46:26):
But just because he's a celebrity, like shouldn't he also
be allowed to reinvent himself and try out new things.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Life is too sure. Everybody do what you dream on.
I also agree with that, why limit yourself?
Speaker 5 (46:36):
No, that's true, But also like, I'm not going to
pay money a content that to go sit and listen to.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
Two hours of that, and if the boss give me
free tickets, I probably still wouldn't go.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
I'm not gonna go. I'm busy. I'm actually busy that there, Graham.
Speaker 2 (46:50):
So there was fighting going on.
Speaker 5 (46:51):
You guys, a whole lot of fighting going down at
Niners practice yesterday.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
If it wasn't already on your radar, it should be.
Speaker 5 (47:01):
The niners first preseason game is tomorrow night and it
is here at Levi's and they're gonna be taken on
the Tennessee Titans. So this week the Niners and the
Titans holding some joint practices, and it didn't take long
yesterday for things to get very very testy on the
field within the first ten minutes, they say, within the
first ten minutes of the joint practice. There were numerous
(47:23):
fights that broke out yesterday, including on the very first
play of eleven drills. They couldn't even It's like they
couldn't get anything done to start these practices because punches
were just flying left and right. They had to throw
at least four players out of the practices, a couple
from both sides. And once that was kind of settled
(47:43):
the thing, the tempers started to cool down a little bit.
Then they could actually work on some stuff for the
joint practices. Interesting little footnote about this game. I mean, again,
it's preseason, doesn't really matter, but Robert sala is now
the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. He was the
defensive coordinator for the forty nine ers last season, and
of course was the defensive coordinator for the forty nine
ers in some previous seasons. Uh, they have are reportedly
(48:06):
going to play some of their starters or most of
their starters on Thursday night. Forty nine ers are going
to play pretty much all backups in the game tomorrow.
If you're going to Levi's thinking you're going to see
a bunch of the Christian McCaffrey and the you know
and Debo and all these, they're probably not going to
take the field in this one.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
Something some of the Titans starters will play. They'll get
some playing time.
Speaker 5 (48:25):
Kickoff, and that one is at six o'clock again tomorrow night.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Levis, Let's go go mats, all right, thank you? Graham
coming up next on the JV Show. So firstia to
worry about the cyclo, A couple a couple of cyclo,
different sources or whatever. Then we have a Samonella outbreak,
and now there's something else you gotta worry about.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
This one's the worst of them all.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
Graham's details after this.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine Yo.
Speaker 5 (48:49):
Yo yo, happy hoped help day.
Speaker 3 (48:54):
Who is Eddie?
Speaker 7 (48:56):
I think that the Rock is just born, has a
lot of money and nothing else to do. Good luck
to his career, and I just missed him in wrestling,
for I miss him being out there on the ring
with Stone Gold, Steve osben Man.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
Yeah, but those just go back to wrestling. I guess
he did led a well. He does a little bit
here and there. He makes a little appearances, but I
don't think he's an ever go fully back in Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Probably, Yeah, you don't want to get injured.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
I don't think he wants to wear those tiny little
briefs anymore either, Like.
Speaker 1 (49:25):
He looks pretty good.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
I don't know Hey, that's a good point, all right.
So we had the cyclo. I still think, by the way,
people still getting sick from that.
Speaker 5 (49:34):
Your mom doing Probably my mom's hashtag is a cyclo survivor.
She was one of the few positive tested positive cases
here in California for that.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Still doesn't know where she got it. I assume her
stomach is still a bit of a mess, even though
she hadn't like checked in with hers.
Speaker 5 (49:47):
She took the course of antibiotics and everything, and I
don't know, I don't every time I call my mom, like,
how's your diarrhea? You know, Like I don't want to
talk to her.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
But now my mom had the explosive cyclo, I would
be checking up, like up on her because even after
the antibiotics, he said that it was starting to come back.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
It was some lingering issues.
Speaker 5 (50:04):
But again, every time I call my mom, I don't
want and she probably doesn't want us talking about this
right now, But my mom, how's your explosive diarrhea?
Speaker 1 (50:10):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (50:11):
So we had that, and then we had these salmonella
outbreak and a bunch of halopanos and some other produce
and some dips and salsas and guacamoles and things like that.
We're getting yes, and we're getting recalled because of that,
and so a lot of people getting sickened from salmonilla.
And now this you guys, Vibrio just said hold my
beer or vibrio, But I don't really think this one's
(50:33):
a vibe because this is the flesh eating bacteria.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Have you guys heard of this?
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Wy'd you say no, as if you knew what it was,
because I've heard of this one people. Yeah, when people
eat oysters.
Speaker 5 (50:41):
Yep, you can get it. Yeah, eating oysters and some
other raw shellfish is one of the primary means for
people getting infected by this.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
It is a can cause a flesh eating disease.
Speaker 5 (50:53):
They say about eighty thousand people get vibriosis every year.
It could be vibriosis. But again, you don't want this
vibe about eating people. Hear get this, but they don't
get the life threatening version of it. There's a like
a sort of a substrain infection of a also Vibrio
bacteria that causes the flesh eating type of disease from this,
(51:15):
and that one is scary because they say the people
that get this serious form of the infection need intensive
care almost immediately, and a lot of them require limb
amputation because it just starts eating away at the flesh
so rapidly. And they said one in five people will
die as soon as a day or two after infection.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
So this is like something that's very very serious. You
can get it, like.
Speaker 5 (51:36):
Jes mentioned, from eating oysters as one of the primary
means a transmission of it, but also swimming in the
ocean or waters where this bacteria is with like an
open wound. You got any sort of open wound, this
bacteria can get right into your system and next thing
you know, it's eating the flesh on your arm or
leg or whatever. They just gotta chop it off. Florida
(51:57):
has already confirmed two deaths related to the Vibrio or
vibrio but again, this is not the vibe you want.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
And Louisiana has already reported five deaths so far.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
This year from the swimming in water water from the oyster.
Speaker 1 (52:10):
It's the same. There's just two different ways you.
Speaker 5 (52:12):
Can get it.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
Okay, do we know how how they got it though?
Speaker 1 (52:15):
Oh we don't know.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
Which recently in some water and I had an oyster
a couple of weeks ago, yeah, you were.
Speaker 5 (52:20):
In the waters. Now, people here on the West coast
is not very common here. It's more the southern states
that see this a lot of like brackish water where
like a big river meets the ocean. That kind of
water is where this bacteria really loves to hang out.
But they said they've seen it as far up the
coast as New York.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
You're just not safe from anything.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
No, no, no, But all I know is I'll take
the explosive diarrhea over something that's going to eat my
flesh off my arm. No, thank you.
Speaker 1 (52:47):
I don't want to lose a limb.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
I'd rather this is scary, right if we got either
of those, would we be allowed to use a sick
day here on the to come in? Have to come in,
bring your we don't bring your bacteria with you. I
guess yeah, bring your diapers in, your bacteria, and yet
get to work school, no days off? Next on the
(53:09):
JV Show, because everyone is, you know, heading back to school. Grandma,
are your kids listening right now? Are they already at school?
Speaker 5 (53:15):
I just say I assume they're there. I was just
texting my wife to see if they heard their shout out.
She said, Ford wasn't paying attention to the first part,
but I heard it, Okay, well at least so at.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Least she heard it.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
So I just read that Oakland Unified has one of
the strictest cell phone bands, like that's been being enacted
this year, and I want to tell you guys about it.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
Coming up next the JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 11 (53:42):
Good morning, guys, Happy home. I don't want to say
my name, but I am from NAPA and I also
got the cyclo It is awful, but I'm on antibiotics
now and it's about five days and I'm feeling a
lot better.
Speaker 2 (53:56):
But I just want to let you know.
Speaker 11 (53:58):
Yeah, like there's people on Nappa getting it, and I
didn't travel anywhere, didn't eat anything super weird. I did
eat a lot of lettuce from Walmart, though, so I
guess that's where we're thinking it's from.
Speaker 2 (54:08):
Okay, oh my gun, But the cyclones out there, how
does that make you feel?
Speaker 1 (54:15):
I don't think this is something city by city.
Speaker 5 (54:17):
If she's getting it from Walmart, guess where Walmart gets
the same lettuce from. That's in the Walmart and Haymart. Heyward,
that's in the Walmart. That's in a name, any bear
city it's all coming from.
Speaker 2 (54:26):
It's just scarier knowing that it's like near you.
Speaker 6 (54:28):
Thankfully we don't have a Walmart in Sammittail, so I'm safe.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
Oh sorry, okay, Samittella, it's too good for Walmart.
Speaker 5 (54:34):
I mean what we learned from the Taylor Farms is
there's so many different brands.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
Use the same squire.
Speaker 2 (54:41):
Yeah, and you said that you still could see her
name on the talkbacks where we get them in right, Yeah, yeah, totally.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
But we're not gonna Yeah, I'm not going to shower
her out the JV show on Wild ninety four nine,
Good Morning.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
JMI Show, jas from heard here, I cobot to pick
just a little bit over a branch. Why does no
one know how to drive?
Speaker 3 (55:00):
Why is nobody paying attention?
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Why is there an accident every other day on.
Speaker 11 (55:04):
The bridge, Because when it comes to the bridge, apparently
nobody knows how to freaking drive.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
And I am tired of it. Yesterday I take about
sixteen miles.
Speaker 11 (55:11):
Drive going over the bar and bridge.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
Okay, yesterday it was about eight pm. And tell me
why my map says it's gonna take me two and
a half hours to get home.
Speaker 7 (55:19):
For sixteen miles two and a half hours, because it's
our accident.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (55:24):
Criminals by arier traffic, you guys, it's already bad. Did
everybody get off their phone? That has to be the
number one distracted driving. It's got to be the number
one cause of accidents, right, It just has to be
because I always wonder the same thing, how are we
getting in crashes? Like on the bridge, there's no intersection,
there's no running a red light, there's no I.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
Didn't know, I couldn't turn that direction. You're in a lane.
Speaker 5 (55:48):
Just drive straight all through this drive straight and not
rear und the car in front of you. That's basically
all you got to do. Although there are the people
that are swerving in and out of the lanes thinking
that you're going to get across the bridge aster spoiler alert,
You're not.
Speaker 1 (56:02):
We're all going to get there at the same time.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
An actual way to check, like to know if somebody
was on their phone at the time of an accident. Yeah,
why don't they do that?
Speaker 1 (56:10):
They do when they investigate the causes of accidents. That's
the one thing that they that's one of the things
they do.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
I believe, well, no, because I feel like I've been
in accidents and lied about.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Whether or not there was some distractor driving there was no.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
Yeah, and there was no there was no investigation or
anything like that.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
Interesting.
Speaker 5 (56:29):
Well, I mean, I guess, like the phone knows that data,
but I guess it doesn't know who in the car
is holding the phone, like it it knows that the
phone's being engaged with at the time of the accident.
They know that.
Speaker 2 (56:39):
But yeah, I guess if you were in the car
by you what if it was GPS, they could it
could have been your GPS running though, but it would no.
Speaker 5 (56:46):
But it knows about if the and whatnot. And I
guess if you're in the car by yourself, yeah, they
could pinple They could pin.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
That one on you.
Speaker 6 (56:54):
Maybe they'll just take your word for it, unless some
the other driver accuses you of like I saw that
they were using their phone, and then they would investigate.
Speaker 5 (57:02):
That's a good way to get the CP.
Speaker 1 (57:04):
Could you let us know the answer to this question.
Speaker 5 (57:06):
A lot of cars now have cameras in, you know,
that are looking at you the whole time, So like
the car knows true.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
But you know, my stuff that should happen. Maybe that
would help, you know, reduce.
Speaker 1 (57:17):
Either way, Everyone put down your damn phone and just
drive straight on the bridge. It's not that hard.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
Just get there safely, please, all right, So everyone is
just about heading back to school. My kids don't start
until Monday. We're over in Hayward. I know Oakland has
already started. Your kids are up in Napa Graham. You're
back to school as of this morning. So Oakland Unified
has enacted one of these strictest cell phone bands. According
to this report that I saw, it says your students
(57:43):
are not allowed to use cell phones and smart watches
or other personal electronic devices during class, between classes, during lunch,
except in limited circumstances. I'm assuming that's in case of emergency, right,
you know, they'll allow you to call a parent or something,
or maybe maybe not then. I know most schools will
just have you go to the office and you can
call them there. This kind of like like at my
(58:06):
daughter's school, you're not supposed to have your phones out.
A lot of teachers, at least their previous school. She's
about to start high school, they didn't really care. But
my workaround was always like, well, I'm just going to
get you an apple watch that way when you can't
have your phone, if I do need to contact you,
you can still use that. Yeah, but now they're taking
those away too, We're not allowed to have those.
Speaker 6 (58:25):
I mean, I'm all for it, but really I think
it might be a little extreme with what they're doing,
especially because I don't know, not having the phone throughout
the whole day or any other means of communication, might
have to talk.
Speaker 5 (58:37):
To another student.
Speaker 6 (58:38):
No, but I feel your friends, if a parent needs
to get a hold of you, Like I get it
that they can call the front office or something, but
like some I don't know what if you have what
if you personally as a student have an emergency or
a young woman has an emergency.
Speaker 2 (58:52):
And then you have to go to the office. Because
that's obviously a big concern for parents. We're talking about
Oakland Unified School District here. They said safety is as
a priority, So we have protocols at all of our sides,
like we always have for parents to communicate with students,
and I'm assuming that does mean go through the teachers
or the office. The thing with that, though, is like
eighty percent of the time I call my kids school
(59:13):
for any reason, they don't pick up but never answer.
That's my thing. So what if it is an emergency
and I can't get a hold of my kid directly,
I got to go through the school, but you guys
don't answer your phone, and then you're like, yeah, I'll
transfer your call to the teacher's phone in the classroom,
and then they don't answer because they're in the middle
of something.
Speaker 5 (59:28):
Wouldn't they be the one with the emergency. Isn't that
the one that you're worried about.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
I mean, it can go both ways. But if something
happens outside of school, a death or literally anything, and
I need to go pick up my kid from school, okay,
but I'm an hour away or whatever, I need to
contact them.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
I mean, I know that these things do happen.
Speaker 5 (59:43):
I just like I'm thinking back to and again my
own middle school, high school, whatever.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
My parents never had to get a hold of me
for anything.
Speaker 5 (59:51):
I get that. We're like so, I get we're like
so used to being so connected to everyone and you
can get hold of people instantaneously. But if you did,
you know, if there was something and you know, you
get super sick at schools, like yeah, then they called
your parents and then they came and picked you up,
you know, like I definitely just like it doesn't need
to in my mind, like the you know, need to
be like an instantaneous contact with your kid.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
I get we're used to it, but I think, like,
what are you know for me?
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
It's needed and it might seem like really like really
small things. But if there's something I want to tell
my kid, I should feel I should be able to
tell them.
Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
See, but that's the we're so used to being connected. Yes, instantaneously,
I get it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
So what if a parent is like, no, like I
want my kid, fine, take their phone, but they need
to have their watch, Like what is the school going
to do? Can they like take it away? Like another rule?
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Yeah, it's a school.
Speaker 5 (01:00:42):
I mean California law requires the new California law that
went into effect recent that requires every school to have
some sort of cell phone limiting policy. Oakland's doing, you know,
they're more on the extreme end have no phones at all,
but everyone every school is required to have some sort
of phone limiting.
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Says mentary school students. This would be like like your kids,
Gramma know they don't have phones right now, but elementary
school students will have to place their phones into a
lock box at the start of morning classes. Final with that,
I don't know, just seems a little extreme. Well, I
guess when I think about it, well, this is for
high school or for that was the elementary elementary school.
Speaker 6 (01:01:18):
Because now that I think about it, I'm like, yeah,
I didn't even have a phone till like the end
of middle school anyways, and I.
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Survived, yep, But imagine not having it now.
Speaker 6 (01:01:27):
While not having an it's just because I'm addicted, because
we're addicted. Yeah, but maybe that is what is needed.
And I do feel really bad for teachers because kids
are horrible when.
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
They're on their phones.
Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Every high school teacher that I know says that's the biggest,
the biggest problem. They're like, you're just talking to no one.
Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
God, everybody's just trying to get on their phone or
something on their phone.
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
I don't like it. I want my kid to be,
you know, reachable. But that's I mean, that's just me.
That's just me.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
We were just talking about cell phone bands at school.
You know, everybody is getting ready to go back to
school if you're not already. Oakland Unified has one of
the strictest cell phone band policies, no phones or you know,
other electronic devices or smart watches during class, before class,
between classes, during lunch. Elementary school, you had to put
your phone into a lock box.
Speaker 13 (01:02:20):
At the start of the day a JB show. You
know what they should do in those schools is they
should just ban all smartphones for kids, and if parents
want to have a connection with their kids, they should
just bring back those old school flip phones that only
make calls. That way, they don't get distracted by social
media and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
True, wouldn't I would be okay with that.
Speaker 5 (01:02:42):
I like that there just be a bunch of that
old school ringtone going off all day longest parents are
calling their kids during class. You know what we bought
it that idea.
Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
We bought a flip phone a couple of years ago. Yeah,
so that when we did so, when the kids got
in trouble and we did take away their cell phones
and we still wanted to get hold of them while
they're at school or at sports practice or whatever, We're like,
take the flip phone just so we can call you,
and they refuse it, like I'd rather have no phone.
Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
Really, really, wow, the disrespect. I think that's a great idea.
Speaker 9 (01:03:11):
I know one guys and he from Pittsford. I got
a fifteen year old daughter. You guys know, whe has
nothing y case of emergency. You know about the whole situation.
But my daughter don't even answer the phone.
Speaker 11 (01:03:26):
So what do we do?
Speaker 5 (01:03:28):
She don't answer, school don't answer.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
So yeah, well I guess that's a whole separate issue.
Speaker 5 (01:03:34):
Yeah, there you go. His daughter won't answer the phone.
You were saying, I need to be able to get
ahold of my daughter, and if I had to call
the school, the school never answers the phone. Well, he's
saying it doesn't work either way because his daughter won't
answer school in a case of emergency either.
Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
Yeah, my daughter won't probably won't pick up if she's
like in class at her but she'll text back. Yeah,
she'll text me backfast preacher.
Speaker 12 (01:03:52):
Good Morning TV Show. This is Sarah from PACIFICA on
the cell phone thing in schools. What really stresses me
out is what if there's a natural disaster, what if
there's an earthquake or a fire for God forbid, pew pew.
At school, the last thing they're going to do is
let kids go get their phone. They're going to evacuate
the schools. They have a protocol. Nobody's gonna be let
(01:04:13):
back in to get their phones for an extended period
of time. That's my only thing is that there's an
emergency at school.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
That is another great point.
Speaker 5 (01:04:23):
I just like, I don't know, did you send your
first grader when your daughter was in first grade, did
you send her to school with a phone?
Speaker 15 (01:04:30):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
So were you just trusting that in the case of
an emergency?
Speaker 5 (01:04:33):
Do you know what I mean? It's that same level
of trust you're putting in the younger kids, and they're
the most vulnerable ones. They're the ones that I actually
would need to talk to an emergency, like here's what
you should do. The older kids, I think hopefully they
have the knowledge that, like, here's what you do in
case of emergency, and if there is a big earthquake
or a fire in the school, calling Mommy is not
going to get you out of that fire. Following the evacuation,
(01:04:54):
tell that you're okay.
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
I just want to know that you're okay. My daughter
to school in first grade of the cell phone because
she didn't have and if she had one at home,
like then I would have been.
Speaker 5 (01:05:03):
But I'm just saying, we're putting that same amount. You're
putting that same amount of trust in what if an
emergency for kids ages till whatever age, you give them
a phone prior to that, and like, that's okay. We're
willing to not have instantaneous contact with our kids when
in my mind, they're the most vulnerable when they're little. Right,
and then suddenly I need to have instantaneous contact with
my kid. I need to have their they need to
(01:05:24):
have a cell phone with them in class at all
times just in case I need to get ahold of them.
Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
Well, what's the difference, Like, do you know what I mean?
Make it make sense.
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
I get what you're saying for me is just like
once you have one, I want you to have it
on you at all times then and I know that
seems contradictory. I get what you're saying. Graham, Okay, Hi,
jav show fam, this is Carlocum free Mont.
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
I do agree more with Braham and Jess over the
whole Oakland cell phone banning, but I understand why Selena
wouldn't be very happy with it. You know, it's it
means if your means of communication that's quick to your
child in case of an emergency.
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
However, we're just being such low.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
Scores across America right now. People are calling it literacy christis,
which it really is, and I think is just.
Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
A better way to encourage our kids to stay focused
in school.
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
Yeah, and I'm not even mad, Like my daughter's gotten
her phone taken away at school and I'm like, well,
you shouldn't have had it out, you know, I'm not
even I'm not mad at that. I just don't like
the idea of them like taking it from the get
go that way, if it is an emergency, it's in
her bag or whatever.
Speaker 6 (01:06:24):
Listen, I think if kids listened, and if they if
they could be trusted to have their phone on them
and not be using it, then sure like that would
be that would be like the best case scenario for everybody.
But unfortunately, I feel like it's just gotten so bad
to the point where like that's all they're thinking about
and ways.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
Of sneaking it.
Speaker 6 (01:06:42):
Oh, let me go to the restroom and I have
my phone on me, so I'm gonna go use it
in the restroom and selfies and tiktoks, and I do
I feel really bad for the teachers that have to
deal with all of this, because I know a lot
of them are really I do as well, and that's
like the hardest job in the world.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
But I at least let the kids have like the
little toddler watch you know stuff. I didn't want to
send a message. I feel like I said, you know,
send that.
Speaker 5 (01:07:01):
I that's better, And it's definitely better in my mind
less of a distraction, I find that, But I I.
Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
Need something, give me something. Okay, we do have to
get to today's hot is trending?
Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
Coming up next the JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
A JAV show. This is Jessica from Kesher Valley. My
kids did have cell phones in elementary school. They had
cell phones in middle school, they had cell phones in
high school. And I flat out told the school I
will not obey. My kids are to keep their their phones.
Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
On them at all times.
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
They will obey the rules of the school and not
be on their phones during class time, but they are
to keep their phones on them at all times. Elementary,
middle school, high school, all the way across, and do
not touch.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
Do not touch my kids phone.
Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
Oh dang, that's crazy to me.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
My kind of mom right there? Hey, you stand on
business I.
Speaker 5 (01:07:52):
Mean you're asking, what do what happens if parents disobey
the order?
Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
Won't there you go? That's her answer.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
She says no to happens he turns out awesome.
Speaker 8 (01:08:05):
It's all the stuff you need to know what's hot
in music, movies, shows, and the most talked about stories
happening today.
Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
An update on Ray and Michael B. Jordan really quick?
Just what song? Does racing again? And yet you have
to perform it? Babee? Where the hell is my husband?
What has taken on star?
Speaker 6 (01:08:28):
So?
Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
Ray and Michael B Jordan sparked romance rumors as past
weekend when they were seen out at Magic Mountain together,
you know, getting on rides and whatnot, and everyone was
like love that for them, Like they look so good together. Well,
apparently they're not actually dating. They just have a business relationship.
According to sources, they're saying that Ray is working on
the soundtrack for a movie project that Michael is involved with,
(01:08:50):
and so they've been you know, working together and decided
to take some weight, sorry, take some time away from
the studio, hit up six Flags Magic Mountain. They just
that's how it starts. They spent some time out there,
had some fun there was absolutely no. Pdare to say
they have never been on an actual date and there's
nothing romantic between them.
Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Sure, sure, sure not yet.
Speaker 5 (01:09:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
I'm shipping them at this point. I feel like she
can just kind of worm her way in there. Oh yeah,
it starts business, but then you mix business of pleasure
a little bit, you know. Yeah, I wonder what movie
this is? Creed four or something? Creed four Is that
a thing? Well? How many Creeds are there? Are we
up to four?
Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
I think we probably are?
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
Yeah? What, I'm pretty sure the last one was Creed three.
Really quick. Kylie Jenner and Timothy Chalomay and the other
relationship news, they're already like talking marriage, you guys. They
are super super serious, and when it comes to their
wedding they want to do it Zendaya and Tom Holland style,
very low key private, even if they like got eloped
or whatever, they're not mad at that. They want absolutely
(01:09:56):
no cameras, which, according to sources, is a nightmare scenario
for Chris Jenner. She wants a big celebration, she wants
it to be televised, she wants a special on Hulu,
she wants sponsorships, she wants deals and dial She wants dials,
and she wouldn't mind if they did an elopement before,
but then like you know, had the televised thing afterwards.
(01:10:19):
But Kylie and Timmy, they are like not here for
that at all.
Speaker 5 (01:10:23):
I'm kind of surprised they're not here for I mean,
I understand not wanting to think to turn into some
giant spectacle. But do you remember Timmy at the NBA Finals,
right that guy grabbed every microphone, every camera, dumped every
beer on himself. Look at me, look at me, I'm
the biggest Knicks fan of all time. Like I wasn't sure,
Like he right in the middle of it. And Kylie Jenner,
she's no stranger to the camera.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
I wonder if it's more of a Kylie thing though,
because she grew up in front of the cameras. Maybe
part of her is a little bit over it. Maybe
she realizes that doing you know, having a relationship on
the show, like it's you know, it's there's that curse.
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
There was Timmy, yeah, celebrating the Knicks, and she was
standing in the background with a look of discuss.
Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
Yeah, there was a little she had the eck.
Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
I wonder if like Timothy's dream was always because he's
a huge Knicks fan.
Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
They play in Madison Square Garden, right.
Speaker 6 (01:11:10):
I wonder if, like he was a little jealous, or
I wonder if he even got to go to Taylor
in Travis's wedding because it was right there. I wonder
if he's always dreamed of that being the place and
they beat him too.
Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
Yeah, now he's got the wedding bug and he wants
to do it a bigger more people, more celebrities, more cameras.
Speaker 5 (01:11:26):
But he is going to get married wearing a new jersey,
right probably. Yeah, he's the biggest fan of all time.
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
Sure, all right, grammy, what do you have?
Speaker 5 (01:11:33):
All Right? A couple of Karmageddon's come in our way
to the Bay Area. First, the biggest one that everyone
needs to know about. Starting in Friday, August twenty first,
westbound on the car Kenz Bridge totally shut down, you guys,
a fifty three hour long shutdown. It's not going to
open again n till three am on Monday. So if
you're going to be traveling westbound coming towards San Francisco,
(01:11:55):
coming into the Bay Area from you know, Fairfield or
sacrament or whatever, and you want to drive that way
across the Karkiness Bridge.
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
I drive that way.
Speaker 5 (01:12:01):
Luckily this is not a weekday closure, only on the weekend,
but again you're gonna have to find an alternate route
for that one major karma ed impossible there. And then
we also have some Bay Bridge closures that you need
to be looking out for if they've already begun going
all the way through October.
Speaker 11 (01:12:19):
Now.
Speaker 5 (01:12:20):
Luckily this is affecting the eastbound traffic and the bridge.
Multiple lanes on the bridge are going to be closed
from ten pm to seven am every single night basically
going forward for an extended period of time.
Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
That will be even on the weekend.
Speaker 5 (01:12:35):
There will be sometimes where it's just Sundays through Thursdays. Okay,
I think that's going to be the thing, but there
just look out for some different times and closures, because
there will be some on some other days, but mainly
Sundays through Thursdays ten pm to seven am. Eastbound lanes
of the Bay Bridge, it's going to go down to
a single lane most to night. Oh my god, not
that there's having traffic of that time, traffic, it's all
(01:12:58):
the time.
Speaker 15 (01:12:58):
I know.
Speaker 5 (01:12:58):
There still is a surprise a traffic so look out
for that wow karm again You've been warned.
Speaker 6 (01:13:05):
Anyways, trending what's sponsored by Caltrain, and I want to
see every single one of you at Caltrain's Reggaethon Theme Train.
If you're gonna go Seecattle g at Levi Stadium, because
that's almost here.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
That's happening August twenty.
Speaker 6 (01:13:17):
First, what we're gonna do is we're gonna roll out
of San Francisco station at four fifty five on train
one forty eight.
Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
We're gonna have a ton of activities.
Speaker 6 (01:13:25):
On the ride, and I'm gonna have some license gottle
g merch so that you can get hooked up with
that while you're on your way. And then you're not
even gonna have to buy anything at the concert, Like
how nice is that you don't have to stand in
that merch line. You're gonna get your match on the
Caltrain Reggaeton Theme Train. Get more details at caltrain dot
com slash Levi's.
Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
On the JV Show, We're going back to our.
Speaker 1 (01:13:46):
Cooler not List The JV Show on Wild ninety four
to nine.
Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
All right, back to our cooler not List. We do
this every Wednesday. We throw some things out, we discuss
is that cool or not cool or not you guys,
I accidentally let my snaps streak with my daughter and
cool and we were like almost a four fifty. Why
are you guys hating on my snap streak?
Speaker 5 (01:14:07):
Wow? Because like why I don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
It was something that we bonded over snapping each other
every single day.
Speaker 5 (01:14:14):
So you can go back to snapping each other every
single day, we can start over.
Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
And now our count is at like three.
Speaker 6 (01:14:19):
I'm gonna say not cool because it wasn't even your
teenager that broke the streak.
Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
It was you.
Speaker 5 (01:14:23):
It was my mally.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Why well I was when I was in Cancun. Yeah,
the service was horrible. I have T mobile first of all, okay,
and like I couldn't connect to the Wi Fi at
the hotel. Like I was just having so many issues.
A lot of times we were like out on the
water and we were like doing things and didn't have service.
And I remember my daughter like texting me like, hey,
our snapstreak is about to end, and like me going
(01:14:47):
to my snapchat and I'm like, really it doesn't show
that yere. But that's because I guess it wasn't updating
and so I like never got to snap her back
and then it ended and I got back and it
was too late to even pay to keep it going.
Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
It just it started over having trouble connecting to the
Wi fi at the hotel.
Speaker 1 (01:15:04):
What are you seventy? That's like my mom calling me.
I don't know how to connect to the WiFi.
Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
You just typed the pass where their mom.
Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
It wasn't working for me. I don't know why.
Speaker 5 (01:15:12):
And let me ask this because the streak did get
broken in the past, but you were able to spend
a few bucks to buy it back into.
Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
That's crazy to me, oh my.
Speaker 5 (01:15:24):
But so this one you were given the opportunity.
Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
Here to do that because too much time had passed
or I would have it like super lapsed. Yeah, it
was just like done.
Speaker 5 (01:15:32):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
I'm still going cool.
Speaker 5 (01:15:34):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (01:15:34):
Yeah, I'm gonna go cool too, because imagine trying to
explain what a snapchat streak even is to like somebody
who was born in like nineteen.
Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
Twing or somebody even like five years from now.
Speaker 1 (01:15:43):
They're even like what Snapchat? We're onto this new thing.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
But imagine you guys hating on like one of the
few ways the mom bonds with their teenage daughter. You know,
instead of being like happy for me, you know you
guys are just over here.
Speaker 5 (01:15:53):
We are happy for you that the streak ended. You
can but you can still snap each other. That's the
thing true.
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
Get back to snapping, be like, hey, you know, daughter,
back to where we were. It's going to take four.
Speaker 5 (01:16:05):
Hundred and fifty one days, is how long it's going
to take.
Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
Or maybe bond in real life.
Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
Yeah, there's that thing.
Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Teenagers don't want to do that. I'm bonding in any
way that I can. And if it's on Snapchat, it's

Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
LARPing is the new slang right now, sort of the
new slang insult.
Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
LARPing is that LARPing where they dress up and have
like the like reenact like civil wars and stuff, live
action role playing.
Speaker 5 (01:17:29):
Yeah, a lot of people dress up in like medieval
stuff and they're out there fighting with foam swords and
whatever and live action role playing their elf character whatever.
It's like, it's like a live version of Dungeons and Dragons.
LARPing is the new slang termain it applies, not it
doesn't just apply to that. It would be like if Selena,
for example, you showed up with like your yoga matt
and your water bottle and stuff, and we'd be like,
(01:17:50):
look at Selena, she's LARPing as a yoga instructure right now.
It's like, it's like you're faking it. We know you're
not actually that thing. You're LARPing it. Oh, I don't
like that LARPing applies to like everything now. Oh, look
at just LARPing as a radio host right now. You
know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:18:08):
That's the new slang word.
Speaker 5 (01:18:09):
You guys.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):

gen z Or saying this.
Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
It's the young are using it. Yeah, the young en,
I don't know, younger than everybody younger than us at
twenty eight and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
You look at Graham LARPing as a twenty and a
half year old.
Speaker 5 (01:18:24):
See you use used correctly? Nice work. Yeah, I don't
like it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
Not cool.
Speaker 1 (01:18:29):
I think it's kind of cool.
Speaker 5 (01:18:31):
I like the word. You don't like the word larpie.
I always you have.
Speaker 1 (01:18:34):
I've always chuckled at LARPers and LARPing.
Speaker 2 (01:18:37):
Was yeah, because we made fun of them.
Speaker 5 (01:18:39):
But well, yeah, it's now. Now you could like more
freely use the term and more conversational day to day.
