Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with the.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good morning fun facts about me. My favorite time to
watch a Bengals game is at four to twenty five
and they'll be home ready to go. We're striping the
Jungle this week. It's stripe Pipe Friday with my gal,
Marissa Contipelli, who's the team reporter and producer for the Bengals.
At four to twenty five. Do you agree best time
or not?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh? Absolutely, tiss Not only just as a football fan
getting to watch the early games and then having a
chance to watch your team and the four twenty five window,
but I mean, come on, we get that extra time
to tailgate and get all the hype gone for an
early afternoon game. It's by far one of the most
premiere time slots.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah you know me. That door Cup is going to
be overflow with on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I love to hear it, and I love so much
that we were back in the Jungle. We have starts
first three of the four on the road tips, so
the fact that we're finally back home, it's going to
be nice October weather Striping the Jungle. This is one
of my favorite games that the team has decided to
bring on over the course of the years to start
the Jungle, some sections were orange, some sections were black.

(01:08):
If you're coming out of the game and you don't
know what to wear, we have our maps on our
social media channels along with Bengals dot com, so make
sure you check that out before getting to take course
stadium because you want to be wearing the right color
in your section.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, and I'm assuming a woman had to put this
together because I can't see a group of men being like, Okay,
this section is orange and this section is black and
that one's orange.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
It was definitely a steam effort that created this a
couple of years ago. And then another fun fact since
it's inception, the Bengals are undefeated when we start the Jungle.
I love that stat going into Sunday too. We also
tip have our crucial catch game on Sunday, so very
special the Bengals. At halftime, we will be bringing out
a very large bellasis in partnership with Tettering Health, and

(01:54):
they bring out cancer survivors at halftime and they get
a chance to ring the bell because they're in and
are going through the fight. It's always just an incredibly
emotional time when that happens. At halftime and the last
couple of years they've actually been bringing in a child
survivor to ring the bell last. So it should be

(02:15):
some tears support pay Course Stadium, but it's just the
incredible work that the NFL has done during Crucial Catch over.
Since its inception, they've helped to raise over thirty five
million dollars to the fight to providing support and resources,
and it's affected over one point nine million people in
its time.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
You know, Marissa, when you're on the field, don't the
players usually wear pink at some point during the month
of October? Do we still do that with the NFL.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
So that's part of our Crucial Catch initiative, and it's
gone beyond just breast cancer awareness, so they really try
to be inclusion with all the different fights that everyone
is enduring. So you'll see some pink, you'll also see
purple and some blue to help raise awareness for those
other you know, different types of cancers, and you know

(03:07):
different types of illnesses that loved ones that may be
you know, enduring or just how cancer has affected each
you know individual player and coach, family member, fan throughout
the you know, throughout their course of you know, their.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Time, you have to when you're watching on Sunday, whether
you're inside or outside of pay Corps, you'll have to
notice the player's shoes and what colors they're wearing. Thanks
for that inside tip. You get all the good stuff
being on the field every Sunday. Well, Marissa Contapelli, thank
you for joining the show. I appreciate you. Of course
I would be. It wouldn't be a tailor day if
I didn't ask you. Have you spent any time with

(03:43):
the life of a showgirl? Or you just buried underneath
the turf at pay Corps right now.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I hate to say I'm a little buried under that
turf coming off of our Monday night game. It was
a little bit of a short week. So at some
point this weekend I will get it to listening to
some of the tracks, and I can't kind of wait
to see what she's done with the latest album.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Thank you, Mike Gal. I appreciate you.
