are going through and the people that didn't get their
permit on time before theirs expired, Like it's horrible.

the job don't want people to go.

was just such a like it had a stigma in
my in my household that like, oh, we don't do that,

like we don't want to share our family business, Like

I think it's important to take care of your mental health,
and I think everybody needs just a little bit of therapy,

I was just talking with someone last night at my
daughter's graduation, and we were talking about how you grew up.
And it wasn't about you didn't have these conversations, you

And there's people that still live by that, and you know,
I don't understand it, but I see right.

Didn't want to tell my parents because I'm like, they're

I'll say certain things, I'm like, damn, I wonder if
my family wanted me to say that, right?

but I always say, you know, it wasn't due to
anything with my mom. We just got it was financial
slippery slope. My mom wasn't neglecting, she wasn't on drugs.

you just say those kind of things, you know, yeah.

I hear you, but honestly, like it took me a
while to get a good therapist, Like I went to
like three different therapists, but I was like, I just
want to I want to see what it's like, because
I've never heard anybody say they go to therapy and
they hate it or they regret going to therapy. Like
for me, it was like I had gone through a
heart breakup, through a heart breakup, and we were unlocked down.

It was during COVID.

I had two jobs and I was going to school
that time, So when that happened for me, it was
like why I felt so isolated and I was like heartbroken.
I was like, let me try this, Like if people
are saying that it's good, like why not try it
and give it a you know test? So I did,
and then I didn't like the two first ones. So
I actually requested that one cause I just feel like

it was in they weren't giving me the energy that
like they didn't really care. But I don't know if
that's how their therapy sessions usually go.

Like every therapist is.

Different, you know, how did you find that one?
Speaker 16 (41:29):
I feel like I requested a Latino provider. I really did, yeah,
Like and after that it was like he felt I
feel like he understood me, you know, because as the
first gen it was like I was introduced to so
many new things, you know, like I'm not from here
or from over there, from where my parents are from.
But it was it's like so much like you learn
so much about yourself from your childhood, and it's like

I learned about anxiety, I learned like how to cope

out to you like, hey, your permit's expiring, Please let
us know when you get your new ones so we
can put it in the system. And that was a
situation where I'm like, I can only imagine what people
are going through and the people that didn't get their
permit on time before theirs expired, Like it's horrible.

And what's so more horrible about that as well, is
the job don't want people to go.

Yeah, but the law, say, is different exactly.

pay taxes.

my in my household that like, oh, we don't do that,

I think it's important to take care of your mental health,
and I think everybody needs just a little bit of therapy,

I was just talking with someone last night at my
daughter's graduation, and we were talking about how you grew up.
And it wasn't about you didn't have these conversations, you

And there's people that still live by that, and you know,
I don't understand it, but I see right.

Didn't want to tell my parents because I'm like, they're
gonna think that I'm like crazy or you know that

You heard head doctor, you heard shrink, Yeah, into a
crazy doctor.

I'll say certain things, I'm like, damn, I wonder if
my family wanted me to say that, right?

There's times when I say, oh, you know, we were homeless,
but I always say, you know, it wasn't due to
anything with my mom. We just got it was financial
slippery slope. My mom wasn't neglecting, she wasn't on drugs.
But I'm just wondering, like, we don't come from where
you just say those kind of things, you know, yeah.

I hear you, but honestly, like it took me a
while to get a good therapist, Like I went to
like three different therapists, but I was like, I just
want to I want to see what it's like, because
I've never heard anybody say they go to therapy and
they hate it or they regret going to therapy. Like
for me, it was like I had gone through a
heart breakup, through a heart breakup, and we were unlocked down.

It was during COVID.

I had two jobs and I was going to school
that time, So when that happened for me, it was
like why I felt so isolated and I was like heartbroken.
I was like, let me try this, Like if people
are saying that it's good, like why not try it
and give it a you know test? So I did,
and then I didn't like the two first ones. So
I actually requested that one cause I just feel like

it was in they weren't giving me the energy that
like they didn't really care. But I don't know if
that's how their therapy sessions usually go.

Like every therapist is.

Different, you know, how did you find that one?
Speaker 16 (41:29):
I feel like I requested a Latino provider. I really did, yeah,
Like and after that it was like he felt I
feel like he understood me, you know, because as the
first gen it was like I was introduced to so
many new things, you know, like I'm not from here
or from over there, from where my parents are from.
But it was it's like so much like you learn
so much about yourself from your childhood, and it's like

I learned about anxiety, I learned like how to cope
with it too, Like I didn't know that when I
was growing up, Like I didn't know about that that
even existed, you know. So after I started going to therapy,
it was like your mind opens to so many other
things and how you can like cope with certain thing.
You still go, Yeah, I still go every like once
in a while. It's not the same as it was
in the beginning, but.

And I think if you know, you're ever doubting, I
think everybody should try it out there.

my girl Myra and she's my stepdaughter Aleana and yeah
