The new Hits horror movie back Rooms is a bit
unique in that there's a ton of source material it's
based on for its actress to reference, made by the
same creator and director, Kane Parsons. His YouTube web series
is of the same name.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
But it's interesting because one of the movies stars, Lukita Maxwell,
decided to stop watching the web series after she started
binging them.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah. She actually told Discussing Film that when she got cast,
she immediately wanted to dive into the episodes and did,
but then realized that it might not be the best
choice for her character.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Cat Lukita started to go down the rabbit hole, which
fans of the series tended to do, but she wanted
her character to have a fresh perspective, and if she
learned about all the creepy Easter eggs and weird stuff
that fans obsess over, it might be harder to portray
her realistically.

But I love that as soon as her gig as
an actress ended, her nature as a fangirl took over,
and she immediately binged the entire web series and headed
it directly to Reddit to dissect every detail with other.

Fans, backrooms, people are talking about it is now playing.
