Speaker 1 (00:00):
Text us text JJR whatever you want to talk about
to nine six eight nine thirty. Something happened over the
Thanksgiving break that's never happened in my entire life ever,
ever in my entire life. Sometimes when I'm channel surfing
and I'll see like Jeopardies on, I put on Jeopardy
and I'll you know, I got one or two right
in the category. But I've never ever in my entire
life got Final Jeopardy right.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Never, And I turn it on in it's Final Jeopardy
where they.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Asked the question and I give my answer and I
nailed it.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I got it right.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
And it made me think that the Jeopardy people have
dumbed it down for America because I'm like, it was
like a Star Trek question and I never watched Star Trek,
and I was like, it wasn't Star Trek, but it
was like what TV show debuted twenty one years after
and it was one hundred years later, and I was like,
Star Trek next generation.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And then everyone wrote down Star Trek deteneration, you know
that was right, and I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Then I waited to see if it was like a
you know, college edition, because I just I've never got
it right my entire life.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Like that was such a huge moment for me. It
was huge.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
You should go on that show.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Now, the way I think you could actually do really
well on that.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Show, I think it's dumped it down for America because
that show used to be so freaking hard.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
It still is when I see that questions from it.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
But I haven't sat down and watched it a long time,
except for when I was challenging Server, because I always
I never really watched live TV.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
You were that deep into everything, You've seen everything. You
were just watching game shows.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Why.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
My wife likes to watch sports, so we watch a
lot of sports this weekend. In fact, a quick update
on her. So, she had a hysterect to me about
two weeks ago, and she's supposed to take it easy, right,
She's supposed to not do anything for six weeks. So
she moved out of our bedroom because we're upstairs. She
can't walk upstairs. She moved into my son Kemp's bedroom
and she's been living there for let's just say two weeks,
and for me, kind of awesome, like have in my

(01:45):
own room, you know, just little things I noticed that,
you know, when I go upstairs.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I go right to bed. I just go right to sleep.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
And I noticed last night she she wanted to come
move back into our bedroom after two weeks, right, so
she can walk upstairs. She's doing really well. And then
like now where she comes up and it was ready
to go to bed. I'm ready to go to sleep.
I just go to sleep. And I realized I had
to wait. Like she's doing things like twenty minutes when
she comes to sleep, sounds like Santa's workshop back there
while i'mlying, I laid bed.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Quiet, that's her in the young room. She's going on,
why can't you just come to bed? What was that?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
What was that part of the v routine?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
That is.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
So she's back in our bedroom and what a couple
of things that happened to we? So for Thanksgiving, you know,
we were gonna get takeout and she was feeling pretty good.
So we went and crashed her family's Thanksgiving, which was
I mean, we didn't crash it. They knew we were
coming and we called and said, hey, we can make it.
So we tried because she could go out for a
little bit at a time, right, so we would go
to to my in laws Thanksgiving for a little bit

(02:50):
had a good time there's it's actually one of the
best thanks Giving. Because of her hysterectomy, we can't stay
very long.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Oh love that. I love it.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Showed up, We ate and left and even she can
announce I have to leave them up.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
You don't have to say anything. No, you have the
car keys ready what My son Dutch looks at this. Dad.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Mom's not feeling it. I look at her and she's like,
I think we should go. I'm like, oh, okay, let's go.
I think We're there twenty minutes. It was very perfect.
And then the next day on Friday, Rich had his party,
but my neighbors had a party down the street, and
she was like, I was like, let's go to rich house.
But richest party is the thirty minute drive from our house, right,
so I drove instead to our neighbor's house, which is
on the same street. So I drove there, she got out,

(03:26):
we went to the party, had a great time. Short again,
short amount of time, so we couldn't go to Riches's
party because it was too far.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
And now I think she was too tired. But I
really wanted to go to your party.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
We'll have it in in your neighbor's house next year.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I mean funny because you had this party now where
I guess you had it last year at your house.
Kyle and Peyton lived close to you, and now you
moved to thirty minutes away from everybody.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
I know.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Well, Stacy's got like her little event venue now, and
she's like, why don't we just do it there because
we don't have to clean up anything at our house.
And so I thought it was weird seeing my neighbors
that live next door to me at the venue because
they had to drive four five minutes and you know,
we like you if we were coming that far just
to hang out. But I, you know, I thought it

(04:07):
was great. But we've overdone it now now because everything
Stacey does has got that you know, elevated element to it.
I don't think it can be overdone. I think we
need to stop having the parties now. This can't top it.
You just can't top the food.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
So then she wanted to go to We went to
go get something to eat for breakfast yesterday, right, So
she goes, we go to this restaurant, we have breakfast.
She's doing okay, She goes, can we go to the
grocery store to get some groceries, and I said, do
you feel up to that?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
She goes, yeah, yeah, yeah I can. I think I
can do that. So we go to the grocery store.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
I park and as we're walking in the grocery store,
she sees people she knows in the parking lot. Then
she she's the guy that collects all the carts, so
she knows she has to talk to him. Then we
go to the grocery store. She knows every single person
in the grocery store. Then we she knows the person.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
That's stocking the vegetable, she has to talk to them.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Then we go to check out. She knows the cashier.
I'm like, let's just go to self checkout. Then she
knows the lady's helping everybody in self checkout. And we
were there like an hour and a half. I just
wanted to get a couple of things in safe way,
but she knows every single.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Bird's in there. I'm glad she's doing well. She's doing
really really real.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
So Peyton, last we checked, you got engaged. You got
a ring. The ring took six months to get size
US seven weeks, then you got it back and then
the diamond fell out correct, what's the latest with that?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Because you were also holding off on your engagement photos.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Exactly because I wanted my ring to be absolutely perfect
for our engagement pictures. So over the weekend, Kadeem and
I we actually took them, so that was really exciting.
My maid of honor and my best friend Kelsey, she
took them and we took them in Agritopia, which is
the neighborhood that I grew up in, so super special
to me. It was really awesome. But your friend Derek
john Jay actually helped me out at Christopher Fine Diamonds.

(05:42):
He got my diamond replaced and then they was checking
it out and apparently over the last six months I've
been very heavy handed and whacking it around because I
broke a couple prongs and he was like, yeah, you
definitely would have had more diamonds fallout, so he fixed
it all up. It looks absolutely like amazing. And yes,
do you guys want to see some of the sneak
peaks that I have in the pictures, I'll post them.

(06:06):
So here was one of them. This one really highlights
the ring. It's like a picture of me and Kadem kissing.
He did not want to kiss me. That was his
like number one thing. He was like, I don't want
to take kissing pictures and I was like, well, I
do so cute, so take one. And then here was
the other one. I'm wearing this like long white dress.
He's wearing these brown trouser kind of looks shirt. I
mean that was kind of the picture.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Is your friend a professional photographer, No, a really good camera.
I'll just say those look really good for me.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
Those are unedited, like those are just like the raw photo.
So I'll post them on our at John Jay and
rich on Instagram so you guys can see them. But
we're super happy with them. We're still gonna go with
the vintage photo boost as the save the dates, but
we'll probably use these just for us to have or
maybe for the wedding infightser.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Did you do your hair and makeup professionally? I did.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I did my trials, so I did my makeup and
I was super happy with it. I'm gonna do it
again because I want to try like a more dewey look.
But I feel like I ran into like my worst nightmare.
So I got my hair. I have curly hair, super
curly hair, and it's kind of difficult to manage. If
you mess with it too much, it gets frizzy and
messy and like a rat's nest. So I was really
excited to go and get my hair done. Went to

(07:10):
a curly hair girl, not the girl that's gonna do
it for my wedding, but a curly hair specialist, and
I walked out thinking like, dang, I could have done this,
Like I really felt like I took one hundred dollars
and like put it down the garbage disposal and like
shred it.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Up all my money. But you didn't like how she
did hair or what it just.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
It wasn't that I didn't like it, It was just I
felt like I could have done that at home. And
what made it worse is that KaDee knew I was
going to get my hair done. So when I get home,
he was like, what'd you do? And I was like,
oh nice. And then I go my mom knows him
getting my hair done. I walk into her house and
she's like, I thought you were getting your hair done.
I was like, oh great. So it wasn't just in
my head.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
It really was just that bad. So how do you
have your hair for the pictures?

Speaker 4 (07:51):
I have a before and after, so I'll show you
guys that too. So here was how I walked out
of the salon.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Okay, can I put it up?

Speaker 4 (07:58):
She just pulled it back and left some couple like
hairs down, and then this is how I did it.
It just looks like a little bit more clean, a
little bit more sleek.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
So I'd raided out.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Your hair done and then had to go home and
fix your.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Hair exactly, no, exactly, which I feel like is like
everyone's worst nightmare where you're going through your trial. But
that's why we did it right, so I know that's
not what I want.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
That's not your hair personal.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Yeah, but she was super awesome and really good, just
not I was just bummed. I was like, dang it,
I think this was my first, like I almost went Bridezilla.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Well that's so funny because I remember I did a
hair trail before my wedding and I hated it and
I was like, I'm just doing.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
My own hair for my wedding and that's where I'm
not right now. So you did it. Yeah, you did
your own hair. Wow. I think it's impressive because you
hear about hair and makeup all.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
The time, exactly exactly, but I think I might just
have to do mine too, teach their own. No, I
would not do my own makeup. Oh who did it?
Her name is Crystal and she's one of my sister's
friends from high school. She actually works with one of
your hair girls, the hair by Christy she or Christie.
She works with her like in la and stuff and
doesn't all make up. I was like, Oh, that's a

(09:00):
cool collap.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Yeah, I think you got so you did your hair
for AE hundred dollars. I think you got a way
cheap compremed Kyle, which she pays for her hair.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Oh yeah, definitely, definitely, But like Kyle looks like a
supermodel when she leaves the salan
