Speaker 1 (00:00):
A couple of text messages. I feel like John J.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Now because I wore the same pair of jeans four
days in a row, even though I have so many
more I could wear. I wore I'm wearing a new
pair today because the last parls were'ing. I think I'm
wore those for months, every day for months, and they
were so stretched out and they were falling down. I
just hate putting on new jeans, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
I just hate it. Another text John J. Rich.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I'm usually so impressed with Rich's intellect, but I was
listening to the podcast and he was, and he just
suggested that September eleventh is one of the biggest events
of the past ten to fifteen years. Am I listening
to a podcast in twenty sixteen. You all need to
keep your head channel more more often you get You're
better than that.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Nick, I don't know that it was a lot longer
than it was a lot longer years ago.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
You said ten fifteen years twenty three years ago. Nine
to eleven Entertainment News Cardi b.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
I didn't see this coming because I didn't know that
she was this far along. But she had her baby girl,
and I think the exciting thing is is knowing that
she is basically going through a divorce with Offset, but
obviously it's Offset's baby too, and he was in the
hospital room being daddy too and being supportive, and I like,
I see that kind of stuff, and I'm like, you
guys are co parenting really well because a lot of
(01:17):
people in relationships and so Bally can be in the
same room as someone, right, And she's.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Gone out and said, you know, he's a great dad.
He might not be the best husband, but he's a
great dad. So yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
So there were a few tributes during the VMAs to
Britney Spears, right, and I didn't see anything negative about it,
did you?
Speaker 3 (01:32):
No, I didn't really see anything negative about it, except
from Britney Spears herself. So Sabrina Carpenter in her performance,
there was one part of it where she was channeling
the Britney Madonna moment and she decided to kiss an
alien as part and it was kind of like her
whole performance was space themed. I mean, everyone of the
dancers were in astronaut costumes. And so Britney saw it,
(01:55):
and here's what she had to say about it.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
I didn't watch the VMAs, but I did see stuff
on my phone from YouTube of Sabrina Carpenter. Why is
she kissing the alien on stage? I adore her, I
love her today. I didn't understand that part. Why didn't
she kiss a girl?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Like that was weird?
Speaker 3 (02:10):
She's like, if you really wanted to pay homage, do
what we did. But I think Sabrina was like trying
to mesh it in her performance.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
I think so too. In the alien was a girl alien,
so she kind of did kiss a girl.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Brittany's voice, Britney's voice is coming from the alien.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yeah, I was like, did she just wake up or something.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
How did Travis Kelsey react to titter Swift's thing, Well.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
He basically said that it's absolutely incredible and the things
that she does is absolutely incredible. I don't know how
I feel about their relationship after that contract came out.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Are you still feeling like this is just idea, I'll.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Just publish the show.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
I mean I hope so, because they're really cute and
you know, they do a good job of selling it.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
But I'm just like, I'm pretty skeptical of most things
in Hollywood, and I think when their relationship first started
I just wanted to not think about it possibly even
being set up for whatever reason. There was a lot
of different theories as to why why they were put together.
They're in a Hollywood relationship and it's really helped Travis,
and it's really healthed the NFL, and it's really helped
a lot of things. But after that contract came out,
(03:06):
I was like, I just I kind of feel like
everything Hollywood is set up and I wanted to believe this,
but I don't.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
I feel like they do enough dorky stuff together that
that wouldn't be a Hollywood thing if it was Hollywood.
It seems like stuff like what you know, like dressing
up in hats together and like going to sports bars.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Thy well, she didn't dress up on a hat. He did.
He played in that stupid head.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
But just in general, they do like him being on state,
it look cool by the way him being on stage
with her, it's like kind of dorky, lovey dovey stuff.
They look good.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, And I'm like, honestly, I hope that it is
real for them, because they do look genuinely happy together
when they're out and about. But it's like Hollywood just
works that way.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
They're going to play it out for a long time.
They're probably gonna fake get married, fake have kids. She
esventually at some point when the kids are like twenty,
they're gonna be like, Okay, everyone.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
I first got together, it wasn't supposed to last this long.
And it is a September twenty eighth or something was
supposed to be the breakup date. And then that came out.
They're like, well, we're now we're stuck in this for
a while.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Okay, real quick. Tom Cruise and the Olympics.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
I saw this and I was like mad respect to
Tom Cruise, because you guys remember the stunt he did.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah, it was awesome. Jumped out of the.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Thing and eaded down.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, And it was all to transition the Paris Olympics
to the fact that la is doing the Olympics. It's
gonna be in Hollywood and all that stuff. We didn't
get paid anything. He did that totally free, just to
be a part of it.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
That's cool. I mean, that's an opportunity that you don't
turn down totally.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
But he's also Tom Cruise, so he probably could have
negotiated some sort of fee, and I just thought that
was really kind of like, oh man mad respect to
him for doing that.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
I look at it like it's him. That's how he
can be part of the Olympics. Like you know, a
young athlete, he's not an athlete, he's not whatever. He's
done everything totally right. So now you can say, yeah,
the Olympics.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I'm an Olympian man,
