Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jimmie Fox dropped his comedy special on Netflix yesterday about
an hour long.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I watched it, so did you, Kyle? Would you think?

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (00:07):
It was fascinating because he really opened up about his
medical emergency that was such a mystery for such a
long time. It wasn't to me like really a comedy special.
It was very emotional, but.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
They teased like its stand up comedy.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
He didn't sand, so it was kind of like a
weird Broadway one man show kind of where he would
just he got very emotionalus at the beginning. In fact,
I was watching it and I thought in the beginning,
I was like, I don't think he's ready. I don't
think he's worked out these jokes because they're not very
funny yet. Then there came a point when he brought
his daughter up to play guitar, and that was oh man.

(00:40):
He cried a lot during this special, and he did
told some stories that were kind of funny. It was
like talking to a friend and your friend's telling you
what happened at the hospital, and then his daughter comes
out plays his guitar, which I thought was awesome and very.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
And from that point on I got I thought it
was so.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Compelling, and then when he he wanted to remind you
who he was, and so he kind of did. He
it was the last time you saw him do Ray Charles.
He did Ray Charles. He did like.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I can't be a clone because I gave you this,
And then he did.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
All of you. He did all his bits that you
know him from right from Like he sank slow jams,
he's sang gold Digger. He put on the glasses, he
did Ray Charles, he imitated I did a bunch of it.
Denzel Washington. He did a lot of stuff that I
thought was really good. But then it was also very sad.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
It was really sad, and he did he kind of
opened up about like that what that illness was. For
a longest time, we did not know exactly what happened
to him. And he says he doesn't remember twenty two days,
like he was out for twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Two days of his life.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
He had no idea. But it turns out the doctor,
the first doctor he went to, he actually said, they
gave me a cortisome.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Job and sent me home.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Then they finally found it a different doctor who found
out what was going on. He told my sister some
horrible news about a big brother.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
He said he's having a brainlea.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
It was crazy because he was like, I don't have
a stroke. I'm Jamie fox Like a stroke is like
an old person thing.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
But then at the end, he.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Gets on the piano and he blames his brain bleed
on dating white women. He says he will no longer
date white women. He's back on the black side. And
then he does this whole song on it. It's really funny,
and then he goes goes, I will no longer date
white women. Then he goes in public.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
He reminded us though, because like Jamie FOXX is that
man like he can sing, he can dance, he can act.
So that's cool to see that. You know, he's back
and doing okay.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
So there's a new Sonic movie starring Jim carry It's out.
That's right, Jim Carrey. He's the bad guy.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
He's been in the other Sonic movies and now there's
a third one coming out. My kids are really excited
to see it.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Sonics. We deal with our house.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
But they asked Jim Carrey, like, why did you come
back for this role?

Speaker 5 (02:47):
You know, I came back to this universe because first
of all, I get to play a genius, which is
a bit of a stretch.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And I bought a lot of stuff when I need
the money.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Frankly, Jimmy, I think it's December twentieth his winning.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
That'll be cool. I've seen a ton of stuff on
TikTok right now because he's in like prosthetics, I think
for his role, right he plays like this evil villain,
genius guy. And so they're comparing like his prosthetics to
this movie, to The Grinch. And now he's saying like
how miserable he was doing prosthetics for the Grinch and
how he would never do anything like that again. And
people are pulling up the videos of him getting his
makeup and stuff done. But it's cool to see the

(03:23):
compare and contrast.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
What about Jason Kelsey because we talk about the tailor
swift effect in so many ways of how much success
you get, but.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Then also Jason Kelsey.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yeah, in Kylie Kelsey's podcast just shot up to number one, which, guys,
that's also the tailor Swift effect. But he was actually
on Monday Night Football, and Monday Night Football did something interesting.
They did like a simulcast. So they did their regular
Monday night football game cast where they have like you know,
Jason Kelcey and all the other broadcasters, and then they
did simulcast with the Simpsons, so they the game quote

(03:54):
unquote was going on in Springfield as well. And that's
going that becomes relevant because of a joke that Jason
Kelsey made during the broadcast.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
This is the state of Texas, Arlington, Dallas.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Also the it was just a joke because of what
Lena said.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Because of what Mina said on the simulcast in Springfield.
They were like, we don't even know where Springfield is.
What is Springfield.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Specifically the armpit of America's So depending on where you
think that is, America might determine who the crowd is
rooting for tonight. Is it closer to Texas or Ohio.
I truly don't know whether this crowd is team Bart
or Team Homer.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
So that's why so that when he said I did
that because of what Mina said, he was he did
make the joke because of that, And like Jason Kelsey's
had a long time rivalry with Dallas, so that's where
it came from. That a lot of people are dragging
him like how could you say that about Texas anyhow,
The mayor of Texas was like, yeah, we're laughing this
one off. We don't think it's a baby.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Plus, my dad was a tour guide when I was
growing up and he said Buffalo was the armpit

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Of the un I always heard that about Cleveland, so
it's like you never know, you know, it's all Pati
