Speaker 1 (00:00):
Entertainment News this weekend, lots of stuff. I say, first,
we get into Ryan Reynolds of Blake Lively at the
SNL thing.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yeah, that was pretty wild. So there there was a
point in the show where Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
are asking questions to the audience and Ryan Reynolds stands up.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
How's it going great?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
By what have you heard?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Seemingly a nod and a joke about the legal problems
between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Now, according to TMZ,
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were the talk of all
the celebrities there, like why are they here? What are
they doing? Not only is it Ryan Reynolds' ex wife's
husband's workplace, right and totally unnecessary for him to be there,
And on top of that, like, wow, dude, you're joking
(00:43):
about like potent, Like there's a four hundred million dollar
loss you filed against your wife, ha ha total total,
Like is it really nothing?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
So I thought that was pretty wild.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Outside of that, one of the guys that actually starred
in It Ends with Us was on with Gail King.
His name's Brandon Skelner, and I didn't see it cleaner.
He was asked is if he was Team Justin or
Team Blake, and they were like, he made him so uncomfortable,
and then Gail King was like, obviously you don't have
to answer that, but you know, just you know, seeing
(01:16):
how you were feeling, and he was like all business,
just basically like, let's just make it about the movie.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
I just want people to remember why we made the
movie in the first place and what it stands for,
and just keeping the focus on that, like that that
movie meant so much to me, and so it's it's
unfortunate that things get taken away from what the ethos
of that thing is.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
I saw this clip. I saw it and I don't
recognize the guy. I don't know who he is.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I didn't see the movie, so I was like, but
I did. I did. Like it jarred my thinking to think, like,
oh wait, now everyone in that movie, no matter what
they do, no matter what interview they do, it's always
going to be Team Blake or Team Justin.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
But I want to get back into like the like
why would they go there? Because Scarlett Johansson, who was
in a Bunch of is Ryan Reynolds's ex wife, Like
you would have seen Blake Lively would go, why are
we going to this?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
And her husband Colin just is on this show.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
It's his show, Like it's so weird. Even though there
was also Pete Davison there and Kim Kardashian was there.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, and supposedly they ran into each other like backstage,
but it wasn't anything like romantic or anything hostile. It
was just like, hey, what's up? How are you? Because
I guess they really haven't kept in contact.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
After anybuddy was there. That was way more star attended
than any oscars.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
There were many celebrities. They said there were so many
celebrities there that half of them had to sit in
a different room. They couldn't even sit in the actual studio.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Oh tell you. On Friday night, they had the bands playing, right,
and Miley came out and she goes, she starts singing
a song and she's like, are you guys not gonna
get up? She goes, get up? Or you guys two
famous like the Grammys get up, And then she goes
she starts calling Jerry Seinfeld out. She calls all these
different people out individually, and then they all get up
and they all started singing with her. And then it
was just non stop after that. It was fantastic. What'd
(02:54):
you think of the Sorry night Life said? You watch
all of it, Jenna?
Speaker 7 (02:57):
I did. I loved it. And it started off strong
with the Brian Reynolds Blake Lively stuff, which I mean,
like you said, why would they even talk about it
if it was such like a serious accusation, you know
what I mean, Like to put that out there is
kind of a joke.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Is like I heard it come up in court now
probably scene.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
And then I know Blake's face and then okay, I
posted on my Instagram it was there's a video that
kind of zooms in on Kevin Costmas behind them, and
he is so unentertained and so like so fascinating that
he like kind of looks over to see Blake Lively's
reaction of it.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
That's all of us.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
It was all of us in that situation.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
So this was something that was really cool. This was
this is post Belone and Nirvana, and if I'm right right,
this is like the first time we right that band's
performed since Kurt Cobain died. Right, It was freaking nuts
post Nirvana.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
This I'll give you Goosebamber holds alone side of Killer's.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
See that's good to say. It's pretty damn good. It's
all over Instagram. It was big. How about Mike Myers
was great scene Mike Mike Myers. You see him do
Linda Richmond?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, she's getting the klempt. But it was funny because
it was on Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph show Bronx Beats,
which is part of one of my favorite sketches from
s n.
Speaker 7 (04:43):
L Bad News.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
It's raining but good news Because as soon as he
did that, I was.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Like, that's where she got that snl'st sweat Weather.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
What about Will Ferrell and Chris Oh we did that
and I thought Will Ferrell and when they did, they
not like us. That was pretty funny too.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
That ye Will Ferrell was like he was an everything
every skit and I was here for it.
Speaker 6 (05:11):
I know, I like needed more.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Well, I know, I agree.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
What about Eddie Murphy I think ruled the party.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
My god, hey, look at this, Tracy Morgan going to
make some big money. Wait a minute, Tracy, don't you
already have a lot of money. But you gotta have
a lot of money if you're going to live like
I lived. I ate cheese lasagna.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
That was so funny. I think that sketch to me
was potentially on the way to being an extremely funny sketch.
And then for some reason, Tom Hanks came out there
and ruined it all. Like it was like Chris Rock
comes out there, asks a tribute question or for Signy Live,
says that he replaced Eddie Murphy. He got Eddie Murphy
there being Tracy Morgan. I was waiting for some sort
of like joke about something and then it went. It
(05:57):
was just weird.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
There's sometimes you watch that show, like Eddie Murphy. I mean,
he could be a sketch member right now and kill it.
Did you see the prison the prison guys that were
in prison, Like Eddie Murphy's telling the story about how
hard his life is and he's talking about when he's
a child and gets whisked away to a wizarding school
and the kids are like, are you talking about Harry Potter?
Speaker 1 (06:17):
And then Will will Ferrell came out and that sketch
too like sexy Shorts. Did you have you guys followed
or seen Will Ferrell's son on TikTok? He's got a
TikTok and everyone while he posts Will Ferrell on his TikTok.
But he's a singer and he's really really good, like
a serious thing, Like I think you know how Gracie
(06:38):
Abrams is J J abrams daughter. I think he's going
to ride that those coattails because he's good, Like he
might be somebody we're gonna later go, oh my god,
this is Will Ferrell. His name's Magnus. I'll send you
his TikTok. He's fantastic. That'd be great to get him
in here. And all we do is talk about his dad.
