Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it's John Jay and Rich. Harry Styles made
a big announcement this morning. He's coming to Phoenix in April.
We've got free tickets. An hour ago, we talked to
our very own Noah Lashley, our behind-the-scenes Noah audio ninja.
He was in New York. He went to the concert
last night to see Harry Styles. Here's how you can
win the tickets. The first person that can tell us

(00:23):
specifically what Noah was wearing last night 877-937-1047. You will
get tickets. You'll be the first person. You'll probably be
the first person in the United States to get tickets
to his first show, not in New York.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
877-937-1047.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Be specific with what Noah was wearing. Now, if you
missed the interview, it's already loaded up. It's already podcast.
You go to John J. Rich On Demand on the
iHeartRadio app, the free iHeartRadio app, and you can listen
to it really quick. We're going to look for a
winner after Kyle tells us what we need to know.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Okay, it is official, you guys. Apple finally joined the
foldable phone world yesterday. It was the worst kept secret.
But the new iPhone Duo is coming out. It starts
at a casual $ 2, 000. It goes all the way up
to $ 3, 000 depending on how much storage you want. It
opens to a 7.5-inch screen. Works with your Apple Pencil
and uses Touch ID. Apple also dropped the iPhone 18

(01:19):
Pro and Pro Max with a major upgrade. AirPod 5
with noise cancellation and live translation starting at just $ 129.
And the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 with
a whole bunch of new health AI features like I
can guess your... Weirdly, though, there was no regular iPhone
18 announced just yet.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Oh, yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
That's coming like next spring, but they want you to
get the more expensive.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I was texting my sister about the new iPhone Duo,
the foldable one. And she was telling me she was like,
I feel like millennials are freaking out about this because
it's basically a sidekick, but like a smartphone. And I
was like, it looks like an iPad to me.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
It does. I think that was their goal. They literally
said it was inspired by the iPad. I'm like, it
was inspired by Samsung's foldable phone.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I thought it's eighth generation, but okay.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Literally, but she was like, it's giving sidekick vibe where
you can flip it and you can do the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
That's a really expensive buy-in. Really expensive. I heard that
the iPhone 18, when it does come out, that it's
going to be almost as much if you get the
two terabyte or something like that.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Really?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
You're saying that?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
You're not going to be the first one.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
To get it. I'm saying that I'm not going to.
I did already pre-buy the AirPods, the new AirPods.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
See, okay.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So you were in there somewhere.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I was in there somewhere, but I don't think I'm
going to switch my phone. Just joking.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Samsung did immediately start trolling Apple.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I saw that.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
They just said, welcome to Foldables. We've been here for
eight generations.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
They were like, are you going to keep reheating our
leftovers or what?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
I was like.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Gen Z is definitely running that X account.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Oh my gosh, so funny.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Okay, there is a big development in the Lindsay Clancy case.
It is insane how each day there is more drama
with this. So Lindsay Clancy's attorney is now trying to
just get the entire case thrown out completely so prosecutors
cannot put her through a second trial. So normally when
a jury can't agree, you get a mistrial, which is
basically what happened. But prosecutors are allowed to start over

(03:13):
with a new jury in that case. Her attorney, though,
is arguing that this mistrial should have never even happened
because there was that one juror that was holding out. Now, normally,
if one juror holds out because they truly believe that
that person should be guilty and the rest are finding
it to acquit, that's the case.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
However, this specific.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Juror actually said and admitted that he had reasonable doubt,
which is what basically they needed to acquit. And so
now because of that, he's saying, They can put this
whole thing into double jeopardy, which make them not be
allowed to put her through a second trial. September 29th
is the big day we're looking for because that's when
he will argue in court and we'll see what the

(03:54):
judge says because it's just a mess actually right now. Now,
if you would look on TikTok for an apartment– Maybe
don't because it is becoming a really sketchy place to
look for housing. A new study actually found 68% of
rental listings on TikTok have at least one major scam warning.

(04:14):
Younger renters are actually getting hit the hardest with this.
They have no idea they're getting scammed. 18 to 29-year-olds
are three times more likely to report losing money to
these specific scams, which they lure you in because this
place looks amazing and it's at a really amazing price.
So the biggest rule is if you are looking for
housing online, no matter what, if it seems too good

(04:36):
to be true, it probably is. Make sure you go
in person or at the very least get like a
video tour or something like make sure that you have
proof that the place even exists. So if you normally
see movies at Harkins here in town, there's a. weird
little movie theater breakup happening right now. Harkins will no
longer show any A24 movies. They said they could not

(04:57):
come to an agreement with A24 on the terms to
show their films. So for now, if you want to
see an A24 movie like Onslaught, you got to go
somewhere else. It could obviously change it. They do work
out a new deal. You know, it's all about the money.
But right now, A24 movies are officially off the Harkins menu.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I need them to like, Kiss and Makeup, because Harkins
is my favorite movie theater, and I love a good
A24 film.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
I know.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I just want everyone to get along.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Please, just for us moviegoers.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
There is some good news in town. Phoenix City Council
officially approved the new one-year pilot that will allow Roosevelt
Row businesses to host artists, jewelry makers, clothing vendors, food sellers,
and other local creators. For First Friday. So the vendors
are back for First Friday. They're sending out applications. They
open September 16th. And the first revamped First Friday will

(05:44):
be October 2nd. With all the vendors and all the
fun stuff on Roosevelt Row. And that's what you need
to know.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Harry Styles announced his tour. His first stop is in Phoenix.
The first two shows in Phoenix. We have free tickets.
We talked to Noah an hour ago. Noah, our audio ninja,
was there at Madison Square Garden last night. He said
it was an amazing concert. And since New York Fashion
Week started today in New York, it's a fashion question.
We want to know what did Noah say he wore

(06:12):
specifically to the Harry Styles concert. If you get it right,
you'll be the first person in the world to have
tickets to his first show or second show. I don't
know which way to take it from. Erin.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Are you a Harry Styles fan?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yes, totally.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Okay. This is yours. If you get it right, what
did Noah wear last night to Harry Styles and Madison
Square Garden?

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Okay. He wore a black New York Harry Styles jersey
with a red tie that had disco balls all over it.
And he also had little kisses, tattoos on his forehead.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
The details. Well done. I'm impressed.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Well done.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
You win.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Woohoo!

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Yay!

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Oh my gosh!

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Oh my gosh, you just made us so excited. Oh
my gosh.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
You're going to see Harrison B. Stiles.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Oh, my gosh. You guys just made our day.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Congratulations, Erin. Thanks for listening.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Thank you.
