Speaker 1 (00:00):
John Jay and Rich we're gonna play a game, and
we need a contestant. We got Doja cat tickets eight seven,
seven nine three seven, one oh four seven.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
You know, today's like national here.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
It is AI Appreciation Day, right, which is interesting because AI.
I think people are turning into anti AI.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, we're not really appreciated yet.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
But AI created that and we're just all going with
it because it's taken over. Well, get this if it's
its own day.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
So a writer for the Atlantic said, here are some
tricks to prevent AI from ruining your brain. So I
went over these tricks and I could never see myself
doing it because it's so convenient.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Let's just go with chatchaby t. Right. Like with Chatchabt,
I ask it everything and I get it. I don't
want to.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I don't I don't want to think and I don't
want to. You know, before you google it, Before that
you go to encyclopedias. Now you just go to ask somebody.
So they say, here are tips so that your brain
doesn't get lost.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
In because they did all this research, you see, but
it was Yeah, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
The story and as breaking your brains, there's clear evidence
that we're not thinking for ourselves as much as we
used to. Here are a few techniques to try if
you want to prevent it. Ask for hints, not answers.
People who ask Ai to directly answer their questions suffer
severe declines in motivation and ability, But people who ask
AI for background thinking for or clarifications do not.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I would never do that. Just give me an answer. Yeah, no, kids, seems.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Like it's going to take a lot longer, Like I
would think. The things that you could do to keep
your brain going is like place you doku, or like
bring games.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
In fact, I always say to my AI, don't give
me a typical answer. I want the answer that the
only the top one percent No, but the rest of
us still so I go the opposite with it.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Well, it's just start with a blank page.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
When you want its take on something, write up your
own analysis and conclusions. Then ask AI to challenge your thinking,
not produce it. No, not doing homework.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Are doing homework that could be a good A good
way to use Well.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
This isn't for cords or students or anything for adults. Yes,
so don't.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Go to school.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Rotate tasks. Every time you do a task with AI,
I follow it with a task that doesn't involve AI
that will keep you creative effort muscles alive. Make a
sharp this part I don't understand. I don't know what
this word means. It is make a sharp distinction between
wrote r O t E wrote and creative work. Let
AI write quick emails, don't let it write your essays

(02:29):
or your memos.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
So anyway, that's uh, I'm a fan of AI right now,
So I don't know that's what they want you to be.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Did you see that somewhere on the East Coast they're
going to have their first humanoid robot teacher's assistant.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Oh? Really, yeah, Like that would be kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
It's going to help out that it's not a teacher,
but it's not to help out the teacher.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
But if you have a robot in class that's doing stuff,
kind of cool.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
I tell you why if you bring that into my
eleven year old daughter's class, she's walking out.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Really she is.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Like robot robots.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
That robot will grab her. Where are you going? Grab
her by the shirt? Bring your back carrier up. She's
got her arm the legs like violation. Hey Mia, Hi,
how are you good?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
How are you guys? What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Where are you right now?

Speaker 5 (03:21):
I literally put over on the side of the road
because I'm driving to work.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
But I work in the middle of nowhere, So I'm like,
I'm going to lose service if I don't stop.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
That's good. Where are you in the middle of nowhere?
Like where man?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Like Morristown, Whitman. I work in the middle of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Wow, man, you are in the middle of nowhere. Don't move?
Is there? Does the monsoon hit over there at all?

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Not yet?

Speaker 5 (03:43):
I know it was when the dust storm hit earlier
this week, it was pretty bad, but it didn't hit.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
It's too bad, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
It's funny. I know the rest of the week we're
expecting rain. Yes, so the monsoon is coming. The rain
is coming in my house.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
I'm very paranoid about that, right so I through Kyle's husband,
who's a weather worshiper. Kyle's been text going, hey, Scott,
Scott says, it's coming to your house. I had this guy, Ryan,
a buddy mine, at my house helping me prep for
this stuff. And he's got an app and he's like,
this stuff's coming. It is coming tonight, it's coming big.
And I woke up this morning. Everything was fine.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
There was not a drop ring. But I look and
it's coming. It's tonight today, tonight, it's gonna be bad.
It's gonna be bad. Anyway, we're gonna play the game
there for Doja cat tickets? Nick, what game we play?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
You guys are playing a game today called What's My Name?
Allow me to reintroduce myself.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
My name?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
What's my name?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
So?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
I picked some celebrities that go by certain aliases. I'm
gonna give you the real name. You have to tell
me what that celebrity is or who that celebrity is. Okay, Yeah,
we're starting with John Jay, John Jay, Dwayne Michael Carter Junior,
loll Wayne, Lil Wayne is correct? One point for John

(05:01):
Jay already this morning. Move on now to Rich Rich Cornell,
Erel Haynes Junior.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Cornell Urel is that twenty one Savage.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Twenty one Savage is a good guest and anyone else
have a have a guest in the room. It's because
twenty one Savage and correct, Cornelly, it's Nelly, really is Cornell?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I kind of thought his name was just Nelly this
whole time.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
I wonder where you didn't go by corn.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
I love Corn.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I will now be referring to Nelly as Corn looks
like corn music. All right, Peyton Jonathan H. Smith, Oh,
that is like du baby. I think he's one of
the babies. I think you're thinking too too hard. Say again,
John Nathan H. Smith. Yeah, I'm gonna stick with my original. Okay, Yeah,

(06:06):
go ahead?

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Would that be Will Smith?

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Will Smith? Is a good guess we are looking for
Lil John. Oh, John John.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Yeah, he doesn't look like a Jonathan he doesn't, all right,
Kyle Kayleie Rose Umstutz, Kayleie Rose Rose Rose.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Okay, yeah, that's a good guess. It's it's also wrong.
Uh Chapel Roane Chapel, Roan thus far John Jay the
only one on the board. Mia, here we go, what
another is? Good luck? Catherine Hudson, Katherine huts.

Speaker 2 (06:50):

Speaker 3 (07:00):
She just came up on the show yesterday.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Short sine, I don't know. I thought I had it, Okay.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
I'm trying to name right now. Okay, I just wanted
to make sure what nick.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I don't think it's obvious. I don't think it's obvious, Okay,
I don't know about the artists.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
That's unfortunate for me.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
I'm gonna say Katy Perry.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
We were looking for Katy Perry.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
I thought was that it was just Kid Hudson.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Me too confused.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
That's probably why she changed her name to Katy Perry.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Wait a minute, Okay, because I was confused with the
artist thing.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, like Michael Keaton, the guy that played Batman.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
His real name is Michael Douglas, but there was a
big famous movie after me.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Michael changed that one man.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
All right, we'll kick off round two. John J. Currently
in the lead. It is his turn, John J.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Michael Douglas.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Who is Netta Lee Schlag?

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Nettalie Hirschlag, Nettalie Hirschlag.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Wow, Okay, I'm gonna say that is Olivia Spencer.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Olivia Spencer. Okay, it is an actress, so you get
a half point. Natalie Portman. Oh, it's okay. Still still
in the lead here, John Jay Rich.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Shane Michael Boose Shane Michael Boose. Well, Shane's a pretty
cool first name. I don't know why you'd switch that up.
Is that Jelly roll?

Speaker 3 (08:37):
We're looking for somebody who's always worn out, somber Somber
didn't know that one Hayden Jacques Berman Webster. The second, Oh,
that's like no Webster. That's Kylie Jenner's baby daddy. Top Scott,

(09:00):
Travis Scott is correct. All right, ties up, John Jay, Kyle,
Adam Richard Wiles, Adam Richard Wiles, You're so annoying.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Know what you think.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
I'm gonna Yeah, if you put that as the answer,
you would put that as an answer.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
That's so nick, is it?

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Adam Levine? Oh man, Kyle is always thinking about Adam Levine.
You guys, that's crazy. We are looking for Calvin Harris,
of course, always thinking about Adam Levine. That's a nice nice.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
You're new to the show.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
There is a storyline of Kyle and Adam movie Vine Intimate,
just not to revisit, just being just a quick thing.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
We'll just get back. Okay. So, Kyle, that was wrong.
I'm sorry, but here we go. Mia. If you get this,
you're gonna go see Doja Cat Lord Amala Ratna Zendia Lamini.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Can you said it one more time?

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Amala for Doja Cat tickets?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
He said you were no good at this.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
You rocked it?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Okay, Mia, don't move still.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Don't want to lose this signal, So we're gonna get
all your information so you get those Doja Cat tickets.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Okay, so hold on. Thank you guys, you got it.
Thanks for listening, and we're doing it again tomorrow too.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
H an hour from now, we got we got diamondback tickets.
In fact, I want to try this, I said this
earlier this morning. We'll try this if you want to
play an hour from now, let's try to do it
on the text line.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
And I thought about you what I thought? I thought,
I wonder if we could.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Uh give away tickets through all the different things we do,
Like right now, if you text us I want to
play a game, text jj R and I want to
play a game to nine six eight ninety three.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
We might call you to play a game.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
And then I thought, I wonder if we could someday
have a game that's just on the podcast that you
can only play if.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
You listen to the podcast.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
What I'm saying, I don't know, you know, I'm just
this is probably a meeting we sha have off air.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
But if you have this part, you've heard it on
the air, so you know what's coming and you don't
need to show up to our meeting.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Now you're, oh, yeah, so it's something I wanted to
do every day this week. You haven't been able to
get to it. But I'm really excited about doing it.
And I tell you why, because one day, I think
it was on Monday, I was bringing this up off
the air, and immediately Noah and Peyton jumped in as
I was just briefly talking about it, and it's this.
People online were sharing their favorite white people phrases. White

(11:47):
people phrases, The odds are you've probably heard these bangers.
Maybe you're guilty of saying to me also, But as
soon as I said that, Painton, you remember what you said?
I think I said, you said rad No, do you
remember what you said? White people phrases?

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Are you ready to rock and roll? Those are on
their list, But those are perfect. So if you have
a white.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Person phrase called eight seven seven, nine three seven one
oh four seven, I'll try to say these in the
biggest white person voice I know.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Well, look what the cat drags in.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
White people phrase this next phrase I've heard Kyle say before.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Geez Louise, she does it with a little, a little
Wisconsin lean in there. These are the whitest phrases of
all time. You know, you just can't waltz in here.
That's pretty good. Hey, you get that, you know what.
I hear a lot from the whites because I'm around

(12:47):
a few lickety.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Split lickarty splits a good one, not on here? What
holds your horses? Hold? That's good? That's so good? Oh
for crying out last? Sure, that's on here. Okay. The
next one is hilarious. Oh yeah, tough guy.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
My friend Greg said this one time to his little
brother and I and I was I think I was
like in eighth grade, and I laughed so hard. And
this is number five on the list. Here, I'm thin
ice buster. On thin ice buster. The next one. These
are the whitest phrases people say. I know, we've set
it in here for fun. Get a load of this guy.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
The next one is hilarious.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
News flash, buddy, I like that one.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
And this is the number one whitest phrase of all time.
Oh yeah, you and what army there? You go up
there with your cruising for a bruising Yep, Yeah, that's it. Anyway,
those are fun.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
If you got more you want to add to this,
you can call us at eight seven seven nine four
seven or text us texture whatever you think is the
whitest phrase of all time. Yesterday I got an interesting
text from Kyle, and I tried to help her as
much as I could. And I wonder if, as she
tells this story, I wonder how we can interject with
white phrases anyway, what happened to yesterday?

Speaker 5 (14:17):
So my tween age daughter, she's eleven years old. She
has been begging me to get her nails done and
finally she just like asked me so many times, and
I was like, fine, we'll go. As we are leaving,
we go to open the garage and it's like eh,
And I'm like, what the garage is not opening?

Speaker 2 (14:33):
And I press the button again and.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
It looks like it looks like the thing that's connected
to the ceiling is going to break, like that metal
rod that the thing comes up. It looks like it's
about to break. And I was like, I don't think
I should press this button anymore. So automatically I go
into my husband. He's basically a handyman. So Scott comes in,
takes a look at it, and he pulls the red thing.
You know, there's that red string that in an emergency

(14:56):
with your garage. You pull that down and then you
can just lift the garage up with your hands. So
we pull that down and he tries to lift the
garage up nothing, and he is pretty strong, but I'm like,
maybe I'll go over there and both of us like
I'm going to help him right hold horses, And here

(15:18):
I am thinking we got to go get our nails.
Then we're burning daylight.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
So he's trying to figure it out.

Speaker 5 (15:27):
I go and I'm like, well, I don't know if
we can go get your nails dough or whatever. And
Scott's Scott's Scott's car is like in the separate garage,
and so he goes, you could just borrow my car.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
He's like, but.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Watch the rims because I've had a tendency to curb
curb the wheels now and then so okay, so we
go and we sit down and get the nails done,
and I get a text from him and he goes,
looks like it's the torsion spring.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
That's actually like, it's just something that you don't understand.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Okay, what does that mean?

Speaker 5 (16:02):
He's like, well, basically, it's not something that I should
try to fix on my own. We need to call someone, right,
And I remember John Jay and Rich do commercials for
a one garage Day one, and so immediately I text
you guys, and John Jay You're like, yeah, I'll text him,
and I'm like, well, I'm hoping to get this fixed
as soon as possible because my car is trapped in

(16:25):
the garage.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Wait, wait, hold on. I was like, holy here, Lorraine,
you have a white people phrase. I want to know
if it works with Kyle's story.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (16:33):
So I the whitest phrase I can think of is
when people say sounds like a case of the Mondays?
Is this it happened on Monday?

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Because I mean it just because it happens on a
different day.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
So we get in touch with A one and I'm like, dude,
the like, is there any way to get this garage open?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
And he was like yeah, without that ring?

Speaker 5 (17:00):
The garage now actually weighs about three hundred pounds, and
if you try to lift it up like it could
you could put something in like in the thing to
make it stay up, like a screwdriver or a stick,
but that will probably break because.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
It's so heavy.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
So anyways, I drove Scott's car to work today because
my car is still drafted in the garage. But A
one is coming this morning, and so I'm confident that
they'll be able.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
To get it work.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
So you know what's interesting about A one Tommy Mellow's owner.
And so when you said that to us in the
group chat, I was like, yeah, I saw it.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
I saw your text.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I was like, I can text him, but I feel
like Rich has a better friendship with him, you know.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
But but you know, so I just kind of thought
I was waiting for you to jump in, and you
didn't jump in on the text. I was like, ah,
I gotta help Kyle, so I'll text him.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
I happen to know that he's on vacation. He's in Courtelaine, Idaho.
He happens to be with two of my other friends
that are all together. They were spent fourth of July together,
introduced them. It's so kind of interesting how they're all
there without me. But yeah, so I text him and
I don't hear back from him for like an hour,

(18:09):
and then Kyle's like, Hello, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (18:11):
And I'm like, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
So he gets immediately somehow, I mean, because he's on vacation,
so he probably doesn't have his phone and he gets
back to my It's so funny when you have to
think about the person what they're doing on, like why
don't you responding to me?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
He could be on a boat, he could be sleeping
and the movies, he could be whatever.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Right, And then when I go on vacation, I tried
to put my phone away, so he does. It was
almost exactly an hour, so he must have been doing
something that just ended. And he texted me and he goes, hey,
I'll connect you with so and so, so and so,
and then I said okay, So I sent them your number, Kyle.
And then Kyle's like, hey, what's going on? And I
thought I thought they were going to call her, But
then when I read the text, I thought, maybe she's

(18:46):
supposed to call them. But another I went and got
a massage, so I was gone for an hour, so
I was like, she's in the whole time I was
having this massage, I was stressed because I was like,
her car stuck and I should I have my bringer
on my phone in case they're texting to connect Kyle.
Long story short, it's handled and Tommy, enjoy your vacation.

(19:07):
Thanks for helping us up.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Sorry to Buggy and I now there, you're.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Gonna have the nicest torsion spring coming your way, Kyle
for me.

Speaker 5 (19:14):
You guys, that's exactly what I wanted to buy.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
This week the way.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
I don't know if Idaho is becoming like the vacation
destination of people in Arizona sound because Pat Hickey's there,
you know, A one garage is there, My buddy Jason
Parks is there, my other buddy is there, and then
my son Dutch is there. He's there working, he's working
for six weeks there. My yoga teacher is there, and
my yoga teacher posted a video of her jumping into
the water in Cordelaine.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
And I text a dam Or.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I said, oh, hey, I go Dutch is there all
summer and she goes I saw him hiking.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Well, Dutch is such a social.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Then Pat Hickey called me yesterday and I'm walking into
the garage and Pat calls me. I'm like, hey, what's up.
He's like, hey, used to let you know. Saturday for
Dutch's birthday. I'm taking Dutch and it's four friends out.
We're gonna go skiing, We're gonna go wakeboarding. We're gonna
go jet skiing. We're gonna a lot of fun killer.
I'm like, oh, okay, Dutch and his four friends, way
to go, Pat.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
So I'll be posting pictures. Yeah. So there you go.
Go buy a car from Patt. He get pure for you.
