John Jay and Rich, Time for second date Update. Sloan,
good morning, you're on the air. How are you well.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
I just moved back to my hometown and I met
this guy on Tinder and we both grew up in
like the same area, but we went to different high schools,
so it was just weird that we never had met
each other. But we had all this stuff in common
and we need some mutual people, and we went out
(01:06):
one night after talking for a little while, and uh,
we just had a great time, Like we had a
great dinner. I didn't drink because I had to drive
and I'm kind of a lightweight, you know, but I
think he had a few drinks and he just seemed
like he had a really good time. I had a
really good time. Now I'm just not hearing from him.
Like I texted him, he didn't text me back. The
(01:28):
conversation just kind of dropped off, and I'm just sort
of wondering what happened, Okause I felt like we really
hit it off. So now you know, I'm just sort
of what was that?
Speaker 1 (01:39):
And what's his name?
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Grayson?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Was there nudity involved at all in any of this? No?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Okay, Okay, Sloan, Let's call Grayson right now and find
out why he's blowing you off.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Okay, did you stay up quiet?
Speaker 5 (01:55):
And I expect that I know. Okay, there's no fallo
for him none. Hell, Hey, is Grayson available.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
Speaking? Can I ask us?
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Going?
Speaker 7 (02:05):
Hi?
Speaker 5 (02:06):
My name is Peyton. I'm with John Jay and Rich
and we just wanted to talk to you on the
radio really quickly this morning. If you have time.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Uh yeah, I mean okay, yes, thank you?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
So we do this segment called Second Date Update, where
we talked to people and they tell us about dates
they went on where someone they really liked and then
it kind of like faded or they got ghosted. And
we got a call from a woman named Sloan who
went on a date with you. She said the chemistry
was there, that you guys were drinking, having a good time,
and then you kind of like ghosted her. And we
kind of went around the room trying to guess of
why you ghost so we can't figure it out, so
(02:37):
we thought we would call you Grayson.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Remember Sloan?
Speaker 6 (02:41):
Yeah, oh yeah, I remember Sloan.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Oh yeah, oh okay, So why are you Are you
blowing her off? Or is it a misunderstanding?
Speaker 6 (02:47):
Uh? Look like I mean, look that the day was great. No, no,
no lives Like, I'm not gonna lie to you guys.
It's it was great. It's a good date. But there
was just something that I don't know. After afterwards, I
found out something kind of alarming about her. Alarming.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
So like I was, you know, talking talking to one
of my buddies about the date and and how I
was back in the scene and and how how good
it went. And uh, I showed him a picture of
Sloan because you know, I was excited about her, and
and he he looked at me like he saw like
a freaking ghost or something, right, Like why does she
kind of unreal? And I guess a few years ago
(03:28):
she got arrested for a tempted murder. What right? Yeah?
So she she she like tried to kill her boyfriend
by sitting his house on fire.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
I wonder what he did to upset her though.
Speaker 7 (03:43):
That is alarming, very alarmed.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Okay, so you find this out and and the guy's
telling you that, and what is there more?
Speaker 6 (03:51):
I mean no, Like I like, well, I don't know
if he was gonna say it was a misunderstanding or
did they did like other people die that, Like what
do you know about it? No, like nobody died. Nobody died,
but like it was it was a count to murder.
And like I I like scrolled through and I saw
her name, and I like, there's like her her mugshot,
you know, And I was like, yeah, it's like a
(04:11):
real thing. It's like definitely her jail at all or no,
yeah she was. She was in jail for a while.
It got out, Like I don't know, like a year ago.
I guess for good behavior. So yeah, you don't, right,
no one exactly.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Okay, she's on the phone, Okay, Sloani.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
It was a long time ago, and this person was
was literally trash. It was this was a horrible person,
and I.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
The fire wasn't even that big.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
It didn't really get So that's why it was only
a year. I'm sorry I didn't. I didn't tell you.
I just it's not the funnest story to bring up
on first date.
Speaker 7 (04:53):
How do you bring that up on a first date?
And by the way, I just got out of a slammer.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Fa Well did you If you do, you put it
like on your Tinder bio or something like that.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
That could be a way bringing the ice fun. Piss
me off, I burn your house down. It was only
a tempted murder.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Well the person didn't just piss me off. They really did.
But I know that's not a justifiable thing, right.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
I mean, if there was chemistry, though, Grayson, why not
why not just try out for a second date. Everybody
makes mistakes.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
He doesn't want his house everybody.
Speaker 7 (05:27):
I feel like, when talking to Sloan, it's not gonna
happen again. You know, she feels like she's working on
herself totally right. If we were doing it, wasn't really
bad stuff was done to.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Her, I said, sugar free.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Sugar free, sure, lot more than that.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
She probably didn't answer her text within thirty seconds and
she got this everybody has there. That wasn't my my
proudest moment, my best moment. That was hers.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
She paid for her Yes, what's the word?
Speaker 1 (05:58):
She did time?
Speaker 5 (06:00):
Thank you. Everybody deserves a second chance, Grayson.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
It's hard to find people you have actual chemistry with.
Did you give her another chance?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Do you know she's passionate?
Speaker 6 (06:12):
I do.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Just to go to one of those places for dinner
where you gott to cook your own steak over the
little fire at the table, I think it'd be okay.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
She was a lot of fun. Here's the thing. So,
and I'm not bringing it back to my house on
the second date, but I guess i'd love to hear
your story. I guess, so, Yeah, go for.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Dinner a happy hour.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Yeah, I'd be willing to talk to you and tell
you about it. I should have thought of this feedback
in my hometown that this with people would know and
I'd like you to hear about it from me first.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Okay, okay, sure, all right, very nice.
Speaker 7 (06:50):
Yay, all right, I know I feel like we need
like a third, fourth, and fifth update.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Well, thank you guys.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
We'll find out, all right.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Well, thank you guys for going on there with us.
Good luck on your second date. Okay, that's second date
update with John Jay and Rich
